Most Terrifying Feeling of Being Lost I've Ever Experienced

My friends parents own a cottage on a lake in Keshena, which is an incredibly small town in Northern Wisconsin that I'm sure none of you have heard of before. Last weekend he decided to have a few people up to hang out, drink, fish, jetski, etc. I was invited, but I had to work late so I couldn't ride up with them, instead I decided I would meet up with them that night. When I got off of work I put in the cottages address and headed over immediately. The drive was going well and I was a few minutes away from my destination. That's when things started to get weird. I arrived at the cottage around 10pm, but something was off. The place looked abandoned. I got out of my car anyway to have a look, and the address was not the same as my friends. Having had issues with my iPhones maps app in the past I wrote this off as another reason to get another phone and refreshed the directions. They didn't change. Frustrated, I decided to call my friend and ask him for directions, no answer. After numerous attempts to get his attention, and the attention I left a text message and drove back closer to town, if you want to call it that.
After waiting about 10 minutes in the parking lot of a casino, I got a text from my friend. It said: "At drive-in theater, come quick, I'm hungry." My frustration was quickly replaced with intrigue, I had never been to a drive-in movie before. I looked it up, and sure enough he wasn't messing with me there is a drive in theater called the Moonlight Drive in. I headed over. I arrived about 20 minutes later to an empty drive in. There was nobody there, the screen wasn't on, nothing. Now I was getting creeped out. I was startled by my phone's buzzing. Another text: "Shut off your lights, someone will see. Come quick, starving." The fact that my friends were looking for a deserted place to hang out and loiter was no surprise to me because they all smoke weed, and probably don't want the cottage to smell like it. So I got out of my car and started heading toward the screen.
As I got closer, I didn't see anyone. I started to worry, but kept walking toward the screen hoping I would find them. I got close enough to see that nobody was there. I was freaking out now. I brought out my phone to call my friend again but instead of a dial tone, my phone started making strange noises. It made a loud electric humming sound like power lines make when you stand close to them, and soft clicking like a bad radio connection. My phone has never done this before. I tried to send a text but it wouldn't send. Then I received another text, this time it wasn't from my friend, in fact there was no name or number, it was just blank. "Hungry." My heart was racing, I was a couple hundred yards from my car, I started running in that direction, but when I looked up towards it I saw something that to this day I can't explain. Standing in the dead center of the of the streetlight I had parked my car next to was the shadow of what I can only best describe as a man. I didn't get a very good look at him, as I was still somewhat far from my car, where he was standing. But from where I was standing he was somewhere around seven feet tall, but really hunched over, he was bald, and he had abnormally long arms, like really long, they were only about a foot off the ground. His head was longer than your average human head, but I couldn't see any of his facial features because the shadows blocked most of that from my view.
My phone buzzed again. "Where are you? So hungry." I waited for it to move before I did anything. Another text "Hungry." I backed up closer to the screen again to get out of whatever this was's sight so I could get back to my car. Suddenly a bright light came from my left and I heard the sounds of the new Superman movie playing loudly from all around me. I was stunned. I ran out of range of the projectors light. I looked at my car again, just a car, nobody there. Another text: "I See You." I ran behind the screen and toward my car. Projector shut off, silence. I ran as fast as I could to my car, I started to hear footsteps behind me. They didn't sound like normal footsteps, more like the trotting of an animal. I unlocked and opened my car door faster than I thought humanly possible, and turned the key. The lights turned on and two feet in front of my car stood the most terrifying sight I have ever seen. The thing I previously thought to be a man, was not a man at all. It was tall skinny, and stood on all fours like a Gorilla. It's face will never leave my nightmares. It was an elongated face like a humans but with no hair, no ears just a mouth. A huge, abnormally long mouth with big teeth, wide open. It started to lift its long arms and I immediately put my car into reverse. It followed, chasing me like a tall, angry Gorilla. Thankfully there was nothing behind me but road, and I backed away far enough to get ahead of the creature. I quickly turned around and left that place, never went to my friends. The strange thing is, once I got out of town and back onto the highway, I looked at the text messages, phone calls, all of that were gone. When he asked why I didn't show up I lied and told him I had to work the next day. I haven't shared this with anyone yet, and didn't plan to until today.
Ever since this experience I have been paranoid, I got a new phone, looked all over the internet for sightings of this creature, everything. Because of this I check outside every night before I go to bed, and for the past three days I've noticed a black van parked on the side of the road outside of my house. I decided this would be the appropriate place to share this story, hopefully you guys can help figure out what this is, or tell me what's going on. I'm still a little to shakey to approach the van at this point. I've had enough scares for a lifetime.
