Dpc2100r2 firmware

Basically what the title says is my problem. I know it's a problem with my laptop because my other devices (iPod, Ps3) work fine with the Wifi. I can however use an Ethernet cord to get fine internet, but that's inconvenient for me because I can't run one into my room. I've already tried all the normal stuff, restarting laptop/modem/router, just simple waiting (it's been about 6 months I've been stuck in the same room as this router), etc. Here are my Specs.

I don't know how much of that you will need, but it’s just what I thought might be helpful. If you need any more information just ask, I'm not to network savvy but I'm fairly competent with google so I'll try and get it for you. I've actually posted this question before, but do to school ramping up I kind of had to stop trying to solve it. But now that I have time I'm going to get it fixed. I don't know how much of this information is actually going to help, but It's what I thought you might need. I'm not too keen on the network side of things, but I'm fairly competent with my laptop and using Google to find stuff out, so If you need anything just ask and I will provide it.
A short rundown of my problem: My internet from Time Warner Cable is very unstable on only my laptop for some reason. I can not use my Laptop in conjunction with my PS3 for some reason as it completely renders the internet useless on my laptop (I can't even watch videos in 240p or load imgur albums). The odd thing is all my other devices are fine. Tonight in particular my internet is extremely slow even though I don't have my Playstation 3 on. It's a frustrating and confusing problem I've been putting off fixing for probably around 3+ months because I don't know where to start. Like I said, if you need anymore information please ask and I will provide. Thanks.
I've already tried restarting my router, computer, modem ect. multiple times by the way, to no avail.
