2024.05.17 08:44 No-Rain-8773 Need help (Monetization YT)

started a motivation (soccer) channel about a year ago and I hit 3k hours and tried to apply for YYP however i got told that it is reusable content but I do not really see how itโ€™s re-used as I took speeches from other people, removed any noise or music from them and put them under a sound of my own choice. I took time in finding clips of the most famous soccer players and putting each text sentence myself.
I would love if someone could help me through in getting monetized!
I could even give you a shout out on instagram if you are successful.
I have 117k and 4million visits in last 30days
my youtube is called @fcmotivator same as my instagram and etc!
Thank you

2024.05.17 06:26 donestpapo Is uvular R in Italian regional?

Over the course of 7 years being exposed to the language, Iโ€™ve heard half a dozen native Italians use a uvular R instead of a trill (and sometimes instead of what I normally perceive as a tap). Here is the most recent example Iโ€™ve come across.
The first time I encountered this phenomenon was when I was learning Italian around Macerata. One of the teachers spoke like this, and I assumed he was from somewhere else, but other teachers mentioned that he was local. The man in the sample I just gave is presumably from Bari, so Iโ€™m not so likely to believe that itโ€™s regional.
If itโ€™s a speech impediment, it seems unusual to me, and nobody Iโ€™ve talked to has acknowledged it. For one, I am aware that it may be a delicate subject, so I tried to be tactful when asking (indirect) questions, but other native Italians didnโ€™t acknowledge anything different when Iโ€™ve asked about this โ€œaccentโ€. On the other hand, my native language also features a trill, and though native speakers struggle with it too, they approximate it using other sounds. Then again, in Russian I think some people do this too.

2024.05.17 05:42 Lost_Star913 16M, Not sure what to do with my life

Hi, I am 16M and in highschool right now. I have a College GPA of 2.7/4 and a Weighted GPA of 3.5/6
I am don't know what to do with my life right now. I live in a family with a lot of problems constantly, my parents are always worried and I am not helping right now. I have no extra curriculars, I have nothing that makes me stand out.
My social skills are trash. I constantly run into problems with continuing conversations and I don't know how to talk to people properly. Fortunately I have good skills when presenting and/or giving a speech. I want to improve my skills with talking to people, I want to be the people who can talk to anyone without any issues.
I have some sort of health issue and I don't know what the root of the problem is. I am CONSTANTLY Tired, and have little to zero motivation at all, I'm quick to anger sometimes, and I am always sleepy for no reason. I want to feel alive and awake and fresh and I don't know how.
I play the Cello, but I am not that good, I haven't moved up in orchestras at all in the past 5 years. (we have 5 orchestras based on skill level, I am at the 4th) I want to improve my instrument because I genuinely do enjoy playing the cello.
I suck at studying and at school. I always find myself scrolling, procrasinating, and just wasting time. I can never seem to study or actually do well in school. I want to do well, I want to improve my grades and my GPA so I can make myself and my parents at least somewhat proud.
Currently, I dont know what I actually want to pursue, I do computer science in school but I don't like it. I have a passion for business, I want to start my own company or something somehow, yet I dont know where to start. I am passionate about photography, and somewhat skilled, yet I dont know how I can make it into money.
I have no SAT score yet, since i haven't taken it, and now it is summer, tomorrow is my last day of school.
College apps are in 2 years, I dont know if I am going to make it into college if things continue like this. I dont know how to face my parents, and they have mostly given up on me, offering no assistance in my education other than of course paying for it.
I have no clue what I can do in life right now. I have a few goals, but I dont know how I am going to reach them. As it is, I am 16, lost, confused, and scared, really really scared. I wake up dreading everything, I don't like anything these days, and I have no will to even play video games at this point.
so, anyone got any advice? If there are any more questions about anything I dont mind answering. Please give me any advice I can get to help change my life around, even if it is just a little bit.

2024.05.17 05:21 Silly_JoJo I love all my siblings so much

I'm the oldest of 5 kids. Istg they're the reason i continue to be sober off of drugs and its gonna be all worth it in the future i hope. These rascals are the only part of my day that i genuinely enjoy. Like yeah the 2 toddlers and the baby can be annoying and they drive me insane with their death rattles, but what else dont you expect at that age? Love it when me and my 9 year old sister watch goofy videos or animes on netflix. We spent the entire spring break watching Demon Slayer together and it was super precious when she wouldnt watch it unless i was there. Its so funny when she gets home from school to tell me all the 3rd grade gossip lol. My brother is so goofy oml and he's adorable. Dennis from Hotel Transylvania lookin ahh kid. He loves the My Little Pony: Equestria Girls movie series and acting to the scenes or songs. I'll be chllin and this lil boy will force me to assist him with the acting like his life depends on it. He's non-verbal so it can be frustrating, but i cannot wait for the day i can have a conversation with him on either his speech tablet or verbally talking to each other. Same thing with the second youngest sister. Instead of mlp she loves poppy playtime and TADC. Yknow that CG5 song? She plays it at least 10 times a day. She is definitely the most annoying out of the 4 of them, but i still enjoy playing with her. She loves playing restaurant with me and the 9 year old. We order food and she cooks it for us with her cute toy foods my mom bought her. The baby be so relatable sometimes. Like yeah man i want someone to hold me tight 24/7 when i sleep too. Maybe i think this of all babies, but she's so cute oml. Love the way she spins in a circle when she dances. Love her, i love all of them. Im gonna try and be the best role model for them from now on. If they ever go down a bad road in life I wanna be there to support them. Most parents are scared to see their kids grow and get older, but even tho they're just my siblings I cant wait to see them find themselves and live their life. That's what motivates me, having a future with the only people i'd do anything for. I'd give up my own happiness if it meant i get to see them live fulfilling lives in the future. I makeup scenarios in my head where we're all adults and still keep in contact with each other and meet up sometimes. I just hope the best for all 4 of them.

2024.05.17 03:19 BrandonBollingers Terrifying Full Text Harrison Butker Speech

Unsnark: I canโ€™t believe we are swinging so far in this direction. Please vote!
Ladies and gentlemen of the Class of 2024: I would like to start off by congratulating all of you for successfully making it to this achievement today. I'm sure your high school graduation was not what you had imagined, and most likely, neither was your first couple years of college.
By making it to this moment through all the adversity thrown your way from COVID, I hope you learned the important lessons that suffering in this life is only temporary. As a group, you witnessed firsthand how bad leaders who don't stay in their lane can have a negative impact on society. It is through this lens that I want to take stock of how we got to where we are, and where we want to go as citizens and, yes, as Catholics. One last thing before I begin, I want to be sure to thank President Minnis and the board for their invitation to speak.
When President Minnis first reached out a couple of months ago, I had originally said No. You see, last year I gave the commencement address at my alma mater, Georgia Tech, and I felt that one graduation speech was more than enough, especially for someone who isn't a professional speaker. But of course, President Minnis used his gift of persuasion. [Laughter] It spoke to the many challenges you all faced throughout the COVID fiasco ,and how you missed out on so many milestones the rest of us older people have taken for granted. While COVID might have played a large role throughout your formative years, it is not unique. Bad policies and poor leadership have negatively impacted major life issues. Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values in media, all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder.
Our own nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith, but at the same time is delusional enough to make the Sign of the Cross during a pro- abortion rally. He has been so vocal in his support for the murder of innocent babies that I'm sure to many people it appears that you can be both Catholic and pro-choice.
He is not alone. From the man behind the COVID lockdowns to the people pushing dangerous gender ideologies onto the youth of America, they all have a glaring thing in common. They are Catholic. This is an important reminder that being Catholic alone doesn't cut it.
These are the sorts of things we are told in polite society to not bring up. You know, the difficult and unpleasant things. But if we are going to be men and women for this time in history, we need to stop pretending that the "Church of Nice" is a winning proposition. We must always speak and act in charity, but never mistake charity for cowardice.
It is safe to say that over the past few years, I have gained quite the reputation for speaking my mind. I never envisioned myself, nor wanted, to have this sort of a platform, but God has given it to me, so I have no other choice but to embrace it and preach more hard truths about accepting your lane and staying in it.
As members of the Church founded by Jesus Christ, it is our duty and ultimately privilege to be authentically and unapologetically Catholic. Don't be mistaken, even within the Church, people in polite Catholic circles will try to persuade you to remain silent. There even was an award-winning film called Silence, made by a fellow Catholic, wherein one of the main characters, a Jesuit priest, abandoned the Church, and as an apostate when he died is seen grasping a crucifix, quiet and unknown to anyone but God. As a friend of Benedictine College, His Excellency Bishop Robert Barron, said in his review of the film, it was exactly what the cultural elite want to see in Christianity -- private, hidden away, and harmless.
Our Catholic faith has always been countercultural. Our Lord, along with countless followers, were all put to death for their adherence to her teachings. The world around us says that we should keep our beliefs to ourselves whenever they go against the tyranny of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We fear speaking truth, because now, unfortunately, truth is in the minority. Congress just passed a bill where stating something as basic as the biblical teaching of who killed Jesus could land you in jail.
But make no mistake, before we even attempt to fix any of the issues plaguing society, we must first get our own house in order, and it starts with our leaders. The bishops and priests appointed by God as our spiritual fathers must be rightly ordered. There is not enough time today for me to list all the stories of priests and bishops misleading their flocks, but none of us can blame ignorance anymore and just blindly proclaim that โ€œThat's what Father said.โ€ Because sadly, many priests we are looking to for leadership are the same ones who prioritize their hobbies or even photos with their dogs and matching outfits for the parish directory.
It's easy for us laymen and women to think that in order for us to be holy, that we must be active in our parish and try to fix it. Yes, we absolutely should be involved in supporting our parishes, but we cannot be the source for our parish priests to lean on to help with their problems. Just as we look at the relationship between a father and his son, so too should we look at the relationship between a priest and his people. It would not be appropriate for me to always be looking to my son for help when it is my job as his father to lead him.
St. Josemarรญa Escrivรก states that priests are ordained to serve, and should not yield to temptation to imitate laypeople, but to be priests through and through. Tragically, so many priests revolve much of their happiness from the adulation they receive from their parishioners, and in searching for this, they let their guard down and become overly familiar. This undue familiarity will prove to be problematic every time, because as my teammate's girlfriend says, familiarity breeds contempt. [Laughter]
Saint Josemarรญa continues that some want to see the priest as just another man. That is not so. They want to find in the priest those virtues proper to every Christian, and indeed every honorable man: understanding, justice, a life of work โ€” priestly work, in this instance โ€” and good manners. It is not prudent as the laity for us to consume ourselves in becoming amateur theologians so that we can decipher this or that theological teaching โ€” unless, of course, you are a theology major. We must be intentional with our focus on our state in life and our own vocation. And for most of us, that's as married men and women. Still, we have so many great resources at our fingertips that it doesn't take long to find traditional and timeless teachings that haven't been ambiguously reworded for our times. Plus, there are still many good and holy priests, and it's up to us to seek them out.
The chaos of the world is unfortunately reflected in the chaos in our parishes, and sadly, in our cathedrals too. As we saw during the pandemic, too many bishops were not leaders at all. They were motivated by fear, fear of being sued, fear of being removed, fear of being disliked. They showed by their actions, intentional or unintentional, that the sacraments don't actually matter. Because of this, countless people died alone, without access to the sacraments, and it's a tragedy we must never forget. As Catholics, we can look to so many examples of heroic shepherds who gave their lives for their people, and ultimately, the Church. We cannot buy into the lie that the things we experienced during COVID were appropriate. Over the centuries, there have been great wars, great famines, and yes, even great diseases, all that came with a level of lethality and danger. But in each of those examples, Church leaders leaned into their vocations and ensured that their people received the sacraments.
Great saints like St. Damien of Molokai, who knew the dangers of his ministry, stayed for 11 years as a spiritual leader to the leper colonies of Hawaii. His heroism is looked at today as something set apart and unique, when ideally it should not be unique at all. For as a father loves his child, so a shepherd should love his spiritual children, too.
That goes even more so for our bishops, these men who are present-day apostles. Our bishops once had adoring crowds of people kissing their rings and taking in their every word, but now relegate themselves to a position of inconsequential existence. Now, when a bishop of a diocese or the bishop's conference as a whole puts out an important document on this matter or that, nobody even takes a moment to read it, let alone follow it.
No. Today, our shepherds are far more concerned with keeping the doors open to the chancery than they are with saying the difficult stuff out loud. It seems that the only time you hear from your bishops is when it's time for the annual appeal, whereas we need our bishops to be vocal about the teachings of the Church, setting aside their own personal comfort and embracing their cross. Our bishops are not politicians but shepherds, so instead of fitting in the world by going along to get along, they too need to stay in their lane and lead.
I say all of this not from a place of anger, as we get the leaders we deserve. But this does make me reflect on staying in my lane and focusing on my own vocation and how I can be a better father and husband and live in the world but not be of it. Focusing on my vocation while praying and fasting for these men will do more for the Church than me complaining about her leaders.
Because there seems to be so much confusion coming from our leaders, there needs to be concrete examples for people to look to in places like Benedictine, a little Kansas college built high on a bluff above the Missouri River, are showing the world how an ordered, Christ-centered existence is the recipe for success. You need to look no further than the examples all around this campus, where over the past 20 years, enrollment has doubled, construction and revitalization are a constant part of life, and people, the students, the faculty and staff, are thriving. This didn't happen by chance. In a deliberate movement to embrace traditional Catholic values, Benedictine has gone from just another liberal arts school with nothing to set it apart to a thriving beacon of light and a reminder to us all that when you embrace tradition, success โ€” worldly and spiritual โ€” will follow.
I am certain the reporters at the AP could not have imagined that their attempt to rebuke and embarrass places and people like those here at Benedictine wouldn't be met with anger, but instead met with excitement and pride. Not the deadly sin sort of pride that has an entire month dedicated to it, but the true God-centered pride that is cooperating with the Holy Ghost to glorify him. Reading that article now shared all over the world, we see that in the complete surrender of self and a turning towards Christ, you will find happiness. Right here in a little town in Kansas, we find many inspiring laypeople using their talents.
President Minnis, Dr. [Andrew] Swafford, and Dr. [Jared] Zimmerer are a few great examples right here on this very campus that will keep the light of Christ burning bright for generations to come. Being locked in with your vocation and staying in your lane is going to be the surest way for you to find true happiness and peace in this life.
It is essential that we focus on our own state in life, whether that be as a layperson, a priest, or religious. Ladies and gentlemen of the class of 2024, you are sitting at the edge of the rest of your lives. Each of you has the potential to leave a legacy that transcends yourselves and this era of human existence. In the small ways, by living out your vocation, you will ensure that God's Church continues and the world is enlightened by your example.
For the ladies present today, congratulations on an amazing accomplishment. You should be proud of all that you have achieved to this point in your young lives. I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you. How many of you are sitting here now about to cross this stage and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career? Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.
I can tell you that my beautiful wife, Isabelle, would be the first to say that her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother. I'm on the stage today and able to be the man I am because I have a wife who leans into her vocation. I'm beyond blessed with the many talents God has given me, but it cannot be overstated that all of my success is made possible because a girl I met in band class back in middle school would convert to the faith, become my wife, and embrace one of the most important titles of all: homemaker.
[Applause lasting 18 seconds]
She is a primary educator to our children. She is the one who ensures I never let football or my business become a distraction from that of a husband and father. She is the person that knows me best at my core, and it is through our marriage that, Lord willing, we will both attain salvation.
I say all of this to you because I have seen it firsthand how much happier someone can be when they disregard the outside noise and move closer and closer to God's will in their life. Isabelle's dream of having a career might not have come true, but if you asked her today if she has any regrets on her decision, she would laugh out loud, without hesitation, and say, โ€œHeck, No.โ€
As a man who gets a lot of praise and has been given a platform to speak to audiences like this one today, I pray that I always use my voice for God and not for myself. Everything I am saying to you is not from a place of wisdom, but rather a place of experience. I am hopeful that these words will be seen as those from a man, not much older than you, who feels it is imperative that this class, this generation, and this time in our society must stop pretending that the things we see around us are normal.
Heterodox ideas abound even within Catholic circles. But let's be honest, there is nothing good about playing God with having children โ€” whether that be your ideal number or the perfect time to conceive. No matter how you spin it, there is nothing natural about Catholic birth control.
It is only in the past few years that I have grown encouraged to speak more boldly and directly because, as I mentioned earlier, I have leaned into my vocation as a husband and father, and as a man.
To the gentlemen here today: Part of what plagues our society is this lie that has been told to you that men are not necessary in the home or in our communities. As men, we set the tone of the culture, and when that is absent, disorder, dysfunction, and chaos set in. This absence of men in the home is what plays a large role in the violence we see all around the nation. Other countries do not have nearly the same absentee father rates as we find here in the U.S., and a correlation could be made in their drastically lower violence rates, as well.
Be unapologetic in your masculinity, fighting against the cultural emasculation of men. Do hard things. Never settle for what is easy. You might have a talent that you don't necessarily enjoy, but if it glorifies God, maybe you should lean into that over something that you might think suits you better. I speak from experience as an introvert who now finds myself as an amateur public speaker and an entrepreneur, something I never thought I'd be when I received my industrial engineering degree.
The road ahead is bright. Things are changing. Society is shifting. And people, young and old, are embracing tradition. Not only has it been my vocation that has helped me and those closest to me, but not surprising to many of you, should be my outspoken embrace of the traditional Latin Mass. I've been very vocal in my love and devotion to the TLM and its necessity for our lives. But what I think gets misunderstood is that people who attend the TLM do so out of pride or preference. I can speak to my own experience, but for most people I have come across within these communities this simply is not true. I do not attend the TLM because I think I am better than others, or for the smells and bells, or even for the love of Latin. I attend the TLM because I believe, just as the God of the Old Testament was pretty particular in how he wanted to be worshipped, the same holds true for us today. It is through the TLM that I encountered order, and began to pursue it in my own life. Aside from the TLM itself, too many of our sacred traditions have been relegated to things of the past, when in my parish, things such as ember days, days when we fast and pray for vocations and for our priests, are still adhered to. The TLM is so essential that I would challenge each of you to pick a place to move where it is readily available.
A lot of people have complaints about the parish or the community, but we should not sacrifice the Mass for community. I prioritize the TLM even if the parish isn't beautiful, the priest isn't great, or the community isn't amazing. I still go to the TLM because I believe the holy sacrifice of the Mass is more important than anything else. I say this knowing full well that when each of you rekindle your knowledge and adherence to many of the church's greatest traditions, you will see how much more colorful and alive your life can and should be.
As you move on from this place and enter into the world, know that you will face many challenges. Sadly, I'm sure many of you know of the countless stories of good and active members of this community who, after graduation and moving away from the Benedictine bubble, have ended up moving in with their boyfriend or girlfriend prior to marriage. Some even leave the Church and abandon God. It is always heartbreaking to hear these stories, and there is a desire to know what happened and what went wrong.
What you must remember is that life is about doing the small things well, setting yourself up for success, and surrounding yourself with people who continually push you to be the best version of you. I say this all the time, that iron sharpens iron. It's a great reminder that those closest to us should be making us better. If you are dating someone who doesn't even share your faith, how do you expect that person to help you become a saint? If your friend group is filled with people who only think about what you're doing next weekend and are not willing to have those difficult conversations, how can they help sharpen you?
As you prepare to enter into the workforce, it is extremely important that you actually think about the places you are moving to. Who is the bishop? What kind of parishes are there? Do they offer the TLM and have priests who embrace their priestly vocation? Cost of living must not be the only arbiter of your choices, for a life without God is not a life at all, and the cost of salvation is worth more than any career.
I'm excited for the future, and I pray that something I have said will resonate as you move on to the next chapter of your life.
Never be afraid to profess the one holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church, for this is the Church that Jesus Christ established, through which we receive sanctifying grace.
I know that my message today had a little less fluff than is expected for these speeches, but I believe that this audience and this venue is the best place to speak openly and honestly about who we are and where we all want to go, which is Heaven.
I thank God for Benedictine College and for the example it provides the world. I thank God for men like President Minnis, who are doing their part for the Kingdom. Come to find out you can have an authentically Catholic college and a thriving football program. [Laughter and applause]
Make no mistake: You are entering into mission territory in a post-God world, but you were made for this. And with God by your side and a constant striving for virtue within your vocation, you too can be a saint.
Christ is King.
To the Heights.

(Sometimes when writing one of these I'll go check and see how those who covered the case themselves did so and to see if they have any extra sources of their own. It appears that outside of the news media, this case has not been covered by anyone prior to me.
This means this is another one researched entirely by me, involving going through as many newspaper article as possible. However this appears to be a huge case in Georgia so if anyone speaks Georgian or is Georgian, feel free to correct me on any mistakes made
One thing I'm already a little on the fence about is that this may come off as too pro-convicted in the event that the correct verdict was reached, especially with how heinous the crimes are. But in my research I couldn't actually find in detail the prosecutor's rebuttals to the defence's claims and I just write whatever I can find personally. Some details also may still be lost in translation)
Little information seems to be known on the very early years of Ryan Michael Smith other than the fact that he was born in 1975 in San Diego, California. At 7 years old his family both moved to Marneuli, Georgia for a brief period which Ryan always remembered. Later Ryan moved to Azerbaijan in 2002. In Azerbaijan, Ryan soon learnt Azerbaijani and developed an interest in traditional carpets and rugs. He spent his time in the Caucasus, living with the native Lezghi people and using what he learnt from them, attempted to set up a local rug business but the business never took off and in December 2005 he returned to The United States. While in America he met Lora Joy Tacquard born in 1976, a school teacher. The two would eventually marry.
In 2010 the couple moved back to Marneuli and lived with Georgia's Azerbaijani community. Lora began working as an English teacher while Ryan tracked down elderly residents who knew how to weave, sow and make old-style carpets and rugs which were slowly falling out of fashion so he himself could learn how to make them, try starting up a business again and revive them. In 2012, Ryan finally found enough professionals to formally hire and founded his company "reWoven". That same year, he and Lori obtained Georgian citizenship becoming dual nationals.
In the early years of reWoven's operations, most of the money made went back into the local community, to pay for the resident's medical bills, legal fees and infrastructure. They also used the profits to fund weddings, funerals, and local civic events, even spending 10,000 dollars to buy 400 sets of plates, glasses and cutlery for the local community center and to fund the construction of a children's playground. Most of Ryan's own money that he used to support himself came from donations from both Georgia and from relatives in the United States.
They always wanted to have a child and first attempted so in 2012 with Lora giving birth to a baby girl named Shannon. Tragically Shannon was born unhealthy and passed away after only 9 days. Lora would then suffer three consecutive miscarriages until the couple's healthy son, Caleb Ismat Smith was born in 2014. Caleb was raised bilingually and by the age of 4, he was able to understand both English and Azerbaijani. In 2016, the family built themselves a house in Marneuli and decided that they would live in Georgia permanently and planned on becoming only Georgian citizens.
Ryan, Lora and Caleb
On July 3, 2018, the family decided to take a little vacation and went hiking at the Khadi Valley in Dusheti, Georgia. They spent the night in the valley, on the meadow, near a local village and on July 4, they began exploring the valley, river and waterfall, taking pictures of everything. On July 6, they were reported missing by friends and relatives after Ryan failed to show up to a meeting in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.
The police and Georgia's Emergency Management Agency organized a search and rescue operation to find the family. That same day, on July 6, they found their car and personal belongings near the village of Tskere. 3 kilometres away from the car, Lora's naked body was found at the foot of a waterfall. Initial examinations conducted apparently showed no signs of intinial violence although she did sustain many bruises, cuts and scratches but they could've been the result of a fall. The only item of note was a wristwatch. so the police were now continuing the search efforts under the assumption that the family had all suffered an accident. The search was then called off due to the rain and resumed on July 7. On that day, Ryan's body was found floating in a river bearing many injuries and one source said he was "mutilated". Found near his body were a camera case, a child's toy shovel, and a plastic chisel Police assumed these injuries were caused post-mortem by being dragged along by the river current, but an autopsy revealed that the injuries, specifically blunt force trauma to his abdomen, legs, shins, chest and armpits were man-made and that the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
Now that it was a murder investigation, the police amped up the search for 4-year-old Caleb, the only member of the family still missing. The police even closed off the area to all other tourists, the only people allowed were the search and rescue team aided by local guides and shepherds and even using a drone once. According to the police they had gone through 99% of the valley and searched an area of 11 kilometers but Caleb was still nowhere to be found.

The search operation
Still lacking any trace of Caleb, the police shifted focus to trying to find a suspect. The police learned that the two had a local shepherd to guide them. The shepherd was a 19-year-old named Malkhaz Kobauri. Malkhaz had taken part in the search efforts and was joined by other shepherds. In fact, Malkhaz was the one who just so happened to find Lora's body. These fellow shepherds were questioned and they told police that slightly before they went missing, he returned to a campsite the shepherds had set up and was missing his watch and had a scratch on his chin. Malkhaz said that he lost his watch and was very reluctant and nervous when asked about his scratch. The police showed the watch to all those present who identified it as Malkhaz's.
Malkhaz was arrested on July 8 and repeatably interrogated. According to him, He and Ryan had gotten into an argument over Malkhaz being negligent with a hunting rifle and in the course of the argument, Ryan would be proven correct when he pointed it toward him and accidentally shot him. Afterwards, wanting to cover up the crime he shot Caleb and then Lora ran away and accidently fell from the cliff. To cover up and hide his crime he buried Caleb's body near a waterfall. He led police to the burial site and when the police dug up Caleb's body, they also recovered a camera used by the family during their trip. An autopsy revealed that Caleb had also been shot to death at least 3-4 times from different trajectories.
Going through the pictures, the police found 3-4 pictures of Malkhaz leading the family through the valley. In one of the pictures, he was seen holding the rifle used to shoot Ryan and Caleb with his pockets bulging from the rifle cartridges. On that same rifle both his and the victim's DNA were found. The last pictures were taken at the aforementioned waterfall and in all of them, Malkhaz was wearing the wristwatch found near Lora's body.
Malkhaz after his arrest
Now who was Malkhaz Kobauri? Malkhaz was born sometime in late 1998 in the village of Sadziguri located in a region called Akhalgori. They were moderately successful, selling various goods such as chickens and crops. In 2008 this would all be taken away when the Russo-Georgian War broke out and Akhalgori fell under the control of the largely unrecognized and self-proclaimed country of South Ossetia. Malkhaz's family fled before the annexation.
After fleeing they arrived in the capital Tbilisi as refugees with the Georgian government eventually providing Malkhaz, his parents and 5 siblings temporary housing at a cottage in Tsilkani with some farmland. They engaged in backbreaking labour in the farmlands for hours upon hours with little to no profit, and then a new factory opened up in the area which harmed their financial situation even further, then Malkhaz's mother was struck by illness and became bedridden for over a year. Eventually, Malkhaz had to drop out of school and went out to work as a shepherd to help his family.
Soon after his arrest, Malkhaz retracted his confession. He now claimed to only be a witness and that two foreigners emerged from a black vehicle and that he went into hiding while he watched the two kill Ryan, Lora and Caleb and then watched them dispose of the bodies. Malkhaz would now never deviate from this story and his family and his lawyer believed him to be truthful and that the police forced him to confess and were making a scapegoat out of them. His mother went so far as to pledge that she'd find the real killer all by herself, in her own words "even if they are buried in the ground"
Upon his arrest, Malkhaz was made to undergo a psychiatric evaluation where he was found to be sane and thus charged with the murder of the family on July 10 where in court, he continued with his story that two unknown foreigners were responsible and that they threatened to kill him and his family if he came forward. He described them as two meters tall and dark-skinned, and that the Georgian they spoke was accented, he believed them to be North Caucasians. He was unable to describe their vehicle aside from its colour because he was too far away from it. According to his lawyer, there were even witnesses who saw this car and could vindicate Malkhaz but that the police purposefully refused to question them. They even had plans to have a digital recreation of those men's faces created. On July 11th, he was remanded to custody and held in pretrial detention as due to his hometown now being in South Ossetia, it was believed that he may flee and that an extradition would be immensely unlikely.
Malkhaz at his pre-trial hearings
Unfornatuely for Malkhaz, his claim of innocence, already seemingly unlikely was looking more and more implausible. A forensic autopsy conducted on Lora's body showed samples of Malkhaz's DNA and biological profile on her body. After this revelation his lawyer withdrew from the case and he was assigned a new attorney. His new lawyer tried to claim that it didn't necessarily mean she was raped and Malkhaz demanded he be examined immediately, claiming to be impotent, the prosecution was still already looking into further charges. Malkhaz also changed his story and claimed that he was swimming when seven attackers as opposed to two emerged, stole his gun and ordered him out of the water while he looked away. The only reason his life was spared is because one of the men convinced the others not to kill Malkhaz This story only made him look more guilty as if it were true, there would be no way for him to know where Caleb's body had been buried. But regardless, Malkhaz remained confident and asked the court and investigators to investigate his cellphone records and where his phone pinged as it would exonerate him. His lawyer also remained confident and firmly believed in his client's innocence even stating that he would be willing to fly to The United States and question the victim's relatives himself.
He also said that the autopsy and forensic reports contradicted the prosecution's version of events. According to them, after an argument, he shot Ryan once and to silence Caleb's cries he also shot him before attacking Lora, raping her before ending her life. But the autopsies found no traces of violence on Lora's body to prompt a reconsideration of the theory that she simply fell, in fact, the cause of death was still listed as drowning and Caleb as mentioned seemed to have been shot from mutable different trajectories as opposed to a single bullet. Lastly, they doubted the report which stated that Malkhaz's sperm was found on Lora's body and underwear as when she was found, Lora was in the water and had been dead for 2-3 days. He went so far as to accuse the report of being fabricated. The autopsy conducted on Ryan also determined that the bullet that had killed him was fired from an above trajectory which according to his lawyer, meant that it was impossible for Malkhaz to have been the gunman as he was shorter than Ryan. According to Malkhaz, Ryan had tried wrestling the gun away from his killer's hands with the fight resulting in wounds to his legs and stomach before he finally shot Ryan at close range, killing him. Malkhaz's lawyer also felt it unlikely that he caused Ryan's pre-mortem injuries due to his build and body type.
On November 9th, only a week before his trial on November 19, 2018, the prosecution added on an extra charge with Malkhaz now set to stand trial not just for murder, but also for the rape of Lora Smith and changed their story claiming that the motive for the murder was the rape and that his altercation with Ryan was over him sexually harassing Lora and not gun safety. They also now stated that they believed Lora was killed elsewhere, and carried over to a river where she was disposed of and flowed down until falling off the cliff. Malkhaz's lawyer was furious and also believed this impossible. According to him, they actually conducted a test after this theory where they tried carrying on their backs (which is what the prosecution alleged that Malkhaz did) the equivalent of Lora's weight through the valley's terrain and actively struggled to walk it over to where Malkhaz supposedly disposed of her body. And even if he could, the current was calm and it wasn't raining so they doubted that her body could've floated to where it was found. The prosecution refuted this, stating that the report on the injuries Lora had sustained was amended to be the result of violence, the claims that Malkhaz was impotent to them held no weight, and leading up to the murders, Malkhaz had frequently browsed pornographic websites.
Because the defence demanded a jury trial not long before the trial itself was due to begin, the proceedings were delayed as the jury selection began. The Trial proper began on March 5, 2019, at the Gori District Court. The defence repeated their claims that Malkhaz was being scapegoated as 95% of the prosecution's own evidence was supposedly not presented and out of the 126 witnesses only 20 were called, the defence believed that the remaining 100 would either contradict their version of events or even outright exonerate him. On March 25, 2019, after 4 hours of deliberation, the jury returned their unanimous verdict finding Malkhaz guilty. On March 27, Malkhaz Kobauri was handed down a life sentence without the possibility of parole. After hearing the sentence, His mother and aunt both fainted and had to be hospitalized. Meanwhile, the victim's family and American Representatives were satisfied with the sentence. Upon recovery, they refused to accept the verdict and his mother even accused The United States of influencing the trial in some way.

Malkhaz at cournt
Malkhaz's mother removed from court on a stretcher.
In October 2019, Ryan's family wrote a letter to Malkhaz while he was in prison where they chose to forgive him. Malkhaz was appreciative but continued to stand by his innocence and said that the only thing "keeping me going" was that his family still continued to fight in an attempt to exonerate him. His lawyer also announced his intention to appeal and his family even tried to have The European Court of Human Rights hear the case but were unable to due to the finances involved. In November 2022, he sent a letter back saying much the same, that he was innocent.
MreWoven remains in business to this day and continues in Ryan, Lora and Caleb's memory.

2024.05.17 02:03 merelyexistin 11 Years of RAM! A brief personal experience.

You know what, I'm actually-, there's some parts I'm getting choked up, putting these 11 years into words..
Idk where to start, maybe for starters, there will never be another album like RAM any soon by any artist, it is an album for a lifetime honestly.
GLBTM - Literally sets the tone for the album, the prelude starts on a very high note, gives you the vibes of all the instruments getting unleashed or whatever.. and the lyrics start let the music in tonight.. boy we did and the rest is history man.
The Game of Love - a neat and simple homage to Digital Love from discovery (lessens the tempo of the album)
Giorgio by Morodor - a legendary track by all means, boy they put the click on the synthesizer n idk man, it just tells do whatever the fuck you want in life ig.. nobody told me what to do, and there was no preconception of what to do and the build up to the synth tune again, out of this world honestly..
Within - another track that's sort of an homage to all the slow burn melodies from 70s, and the 80s.. the lyrics are so deep that it urges you search for meaning in your life.. lyric writing is not even their forte but I honestly think this song has the best lyrics in their entire discography..
Instant Crush - Iconic would be an understatement to describe this track. Julian Casablancas you freak, thanks for this track man (I'm tired of being grateful to the robots lol๐Ÿ˜ญ) The music video makes it more memorable, mannequins love, mannequins melt together after all the separation they have been through.. kinda poetic I should say..
LYTD - fun is the right word to describe the track I guess.. idk just casual peppy dance number.. definitely doesn't stand out, but definitely makes you shake a leg ๐Ÿ’ƒ
Touch - truly the soul of the album, idk the central character of the album or the robots are going through a phase and the song literally describes their POV ig.. when I first listened to the touch, I skipped it just because it wasn't as energetic as the previous tracks in the album.. but I realized how good touch was, when I was going through an existential crisis and man the song felt like the warmest of hugs man.. it literally gave me something to feel ๐Ÿ˜ญ
Get Lucky - Another energetic fun track but with a deep meaning this time.. Excellent track to follow Touch actually, the confused robots feel better (after Touch) and choose to dance it out.. and that's what Get lucky is.. most of us consider Get Lucky to be the biggest mainstream hit of the album (which it is) but I think Instant Crush is right up there too.. idk shud I thank Pharrell now? maybe yes coz he fuckin killed it with his vocals.. and the lyrics of the track are so open that you could resonate it with almost anything that's happening in your life lol.. having sex? We're up all night to get lucky got an exam tomorrow, pulling an all nighter? We're up all night to get lucky depressed and lacking motivation? We've come too far to give up who we are.. idk there's so lot more situations you could resonate with lol..*
Beyond - alright, enough of fun, let's turn back to our quest for meaning in our lives.. a reasonably simple track to follow giants like Touch n get lucky but nevertheless a good one.. to find our way, we lose our control, remember, love's our only mission
Motherboard - honestly, the most complex track for me personally.. simple instrumental track, but I have been listening to the album in a spiritual way lol.. it is kinda hard to decipher what they intend to convey through this track.. but I love this one (I'm sorry I'm obsessed with the robots ๐Ÿ˜ญ)
Fragments of Time - as the title of the track suggests, hold on to your memories, cherish the small moments in life.. kinda iconic that they got to collaborate with Todd Edwards which adds more meaning to the track to the robots I mean.. Todd Edwards is one of their teachers (IYKYK) and they worked with him on Discovery and now for this one too.. it's literally about his experience of working with the robots but it kinda fits in with the spiritual mood of the album..
Doin it right - okay now we've cracked life and figured out how to live.. so what do we do now? we fuckin do it right ๐Ÿฅณ this was the only track that satisfied the Human After All fan in me lol..
Contact - Contact was the perfect way to end the album, mixed two samples one of a spacecraft leaving the earth or whatever.. backed by the instruments.. it almost symbolises after life or whatever, this was the biggest clue that the robots had given us that they were never gonna return.. but there's something out there the final lyric of the album.. it almost symbolises they were leaving to explore whatever that lies ahead.. idk how to put.. however..
Horizon - this instrumental track sorta confirmed that they reached horizon n they were never gonna return ig ๐Ÿ˜ญ
Special mentions to Infinity repeating and prime, even though unfinished, the two tracks are pretty good imo and I'm convinced they were not able to fit in these two tracks to weave the spiritual side of the album..
Idk man, I fuckin love this album, and as you can tell I'm fuckin obsessed with this album and the robots ๐Ÿ˜ญโค๏ธ
Random Access Memories- literally RANDOM ACCESS MEMORIES, you can turn to them whenever you want ๐Ÿฅน
Idk how to end this, I'm not as poetic as the robots lol.. maybe I'll just say #I freaking love you Guillaume Emmanuel De Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, thanks for RAM, thanks for everything!

2024.05.17 01:45 Wirtzball Orlando Pride vs Bay FC - Matchday #9 Post-Match Observations

Orlando Pride vs Bay FC - Matchday #9 Post-Match Observations
Attempting to try something new, maybe a one off. Instead of a team/system overview, I wanted to dial into one player to get a different perspective from a piece within the jigsaw. I chose to go with Camberos. There was no real motivation to highlight her, other than being a player that is not commonly referenced in discussions. Apologies, this is a incomplete review as I only captured the first half and ran out of time.
Passing
Starting on the passing front, I took a more statistical approach. Some player positions may be inaccurate (especially Boade/Castellanos/Kundananji).
Passes Received Passes Played
ST Oshoala - Side Pass LB Malonson - Back Pass
LB Malonson - Forward Pass LB Malonson - Side Pass
CDM Pickett - Forward Pass LCM Boade - Back Pass
CDM Pickett - Side Pass RB King - Back Pass
ST Oshoala - Back Pass RCM Castellanos - Forward Pass
RCM Castellanos - Back Pass LCB Sharples - Back Pass
RW Kundananji - Forward Pass RCM Castellanos - Back Pass
CDM Pickett - Forward Pass RCM Castellanos - Forward Pass
LCM Boade - Forward Pass RB King - Forward Pass
LCM Boade - Forward Pass RW Kundananji - Forward Pass
RB King - Forward Pass ST Oshoala - Forward Pass (Miss)
RCB Menges - Forward Pass LCM Boade - Forward Pass (Miss)
LCM Boade - Side Pass
Total: 13 passes received Total: 12 passes attempted/10 passes completed
Back = 2 / Side = 3 / Forward = 8 Back = 5 / Side = 3 / Forward = 4 (2)
I didn't track if a pass received led to a pass played. But each column is ordered by time. The direction of pass is subjective but I feel like I elected to go with intent. What may have stood out by the list was her passing may have been more conservative in the early stages. And then potentially after conceding the goal, looked to play more direct passes.
And the team generally looked to pass to Camberos when in forward positions. Highlighting a couple of instances where Camberos was available in wide positions but the team electing for other options. But this is a small sample size for a broad statement.
Camberos - Wide Positions
Position
I noted when Camberos made a positional change and what was the precursor to that change. Again the start/end time is objective.
Position (Trigger Change) Time Duration
LW (Starting Position) 0:00 - 7:26 7m 26s
RW (Attacking Free Kick) 7:26 - 32:18 24m 52s
LW (Goal Conceded/Restart) 32:18 - 38:02 5m 44s
RW (Defending Corner) 38:02 - 45:32 7m 30s
LW (Defending Corner) 45:32 - 50:03 4m 31s
RW (Defending Corner) 50:03 - 51:55 1m 52s
LW (Defending Corner) 51:55 - 53:15 1m 20s
LW = 19m 1s RW = 34m 14s
Camberos started at LW but played more minutes at RW in the first half. It was interesting to see the flank changes with Kundananji. The switches were triggered after set pieces. Will be interesting to see if this further develops to interplay swaps, either at wide positions, or with the center forward.
Defending - Bay Half
It was interesting to see how deep Camberos dropped when defending, while Bay dropped into their defensive positioning. When playing on the right flank, she was almost playing as a RWB to counteract Orlando's LB K. Abello attacking positioning. Bay created a hybrid back five with King going narrow to RCB, Menges CB, Sharples LCB, and Malonson LWB
Camberos - Dropping to RWB Defensively
I think this was more of a positional instruction, rather than a player role. Kundananji exhibited somewhat similar characteristics when playing on the right and Camberos higher up on the left.
Defending - Orlando Half
When defending in Orlando's half, both wingers are narrow to keep the center congested, and kept wide passing routes open.
Camberos - Keeping Narrow When Defending High
Defending - Corners
Camberos was assigned to mark Orlando's #4 RCB R. Souza in defensive corner situations.
Camberos - Defending Corners
Defending - Defensive Actions
Defensive Actions Successful/Attempted/Foul/Interceptions Fouled
Defensive Third 2/4/0/0
Midfield Third 1/2/1/1 1 (Yellow Card)
Attacking Third 1/1/2/1
Looking at the stats that I counted for the first half (subjective), there may have been more defensive intent by Camberos in higher places.
Attacking - Free Kicks
Camberos was stationed in the back post, typically second to Menges.
Camberos - Attacking Free Kicks
Attacking - Throw-Ins
In defensive half throw-ins, Bay's winger was the near touchline target and the striker was the far target.
Camberos - Throw-Ins
Attacking - Width
When Bay is in controlled possession, and building up from the defensive half, both wingers played high and wide, regardless of which side the ball was being played.
Camberos - Attacking Width
It would be interesting to see Camberos' distance covered since she played very contrasting positions in different phases of play. I thought it was an interesting defensive setup with King playing narrow and Camberos playing deeper. I somewhat remember this being mirrored in the second half when King moved to the left and Camberos as a LWB defensively. Let me know if people would like to see more emphasis on any particular individuals or prefer a more broader team review.

2024.05.17 01:31 Common-Compote3949 The idea of chain of transmission in hadiths

The idea of chain of transmission in hadiths
Article: The idea of chain of transmission in hadiths
the recognition of fair historian non muslims : Asad Rustam - Orientalists: Margoliouth - Bernard Lewis!!
(To read their confessions, you can go directly to the end of the article)
In a scene some of you may have seen before: They come in a long line of people (for example, 20 or 30 individuals) with their backs to each others - then the first of them turns his back to the rest until one of the people tells him a simple story or shows him a simple movement (for example, as if he was getting up to sit on a motorcycle), Then he is asked to convey the simple story or simple movement to the one who After him - and the next to the next and so on to the last person in the line ู€ And the surprise! :
We notice the changes that occurred in the story or movement when it reached the last person - and here the ignorant atheists and deniers of the Sunnah shout with joy, saying: "See? This is a practical experience that you cannot deny that the idea of chain of transmission in hadiths is wrong and impossible!!" ู€ The question is: This popular experience actually suits โ€œthe general publicโ€ in order to prove to them the possibility of the transmission of speech between them being wrong and inaccurate - but: Is โ€œthe science of hadithโ€ in Islam and the Sunnah really like this?!! ู€ The truth is: There are differences in every part of this example from ((the science of hadith))!! Let's count it together: ู€ ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ First: between the lay person and the muslim hadith narrator ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ All the people in the long line: They are chosen from โ€œthe general publicโ€ in a random way, meaning: They have no relation to the science of hadith and do not worry about ((especially the conditions for accepting the chain of transmission)) - meaning: ู€ We can do the same experiment to deny, for example, that (geometry) is important!! Or even (medicine)!! All you have to do is bring a group of random people and give them, for example, concrete, iron, and bricks. Then you ask them to build a building of 3 floors. Then, when the building is completed, you say: See, there is no point in studying engineering!!! ู€ Or you give some ordinary and random people surgical, cutting and cutting tools, then you let them work on 10 patients under anesthesia to treat them, for example: Then when the patients die, you say with all pride: You see: there is no benefit in studying medicine!! ู€ Now: What exactly happens in Hadith science? The answer:
Each of the narrators (represented by a person in the line) will not stand in the line (i.e., his narration will not be accepted) unless his conduct is confirmed as: ู€ 1- The name and circumstance are known (and ignorance of which makes the hadith weak or fabricated)
2 - Strong memorization at the time of hearing and at the time of reporting, with synonymous variations with the same meaning (because the hadith is not worshiped by its recitation like the Qurโ€™an, so it is permissible to narrate it in the meaning)
3- His justice (i.e. he is not known to lie, betray, bear false witness, etc.)
4- Evidence that he was contemporaneous with at least one who heard from him, or they were both brought together in one city, or he declared that he had heard from those before him with the wording, he told us, or he narrated to us, or we heard. To the rest of these conditions for ruling on (the authenticity of the narratorโ€™s acceptance of the chain of transmission) ู€ The more difficult the conditions are, the more authentic the book of hadiths is than others (hence the preference for Sahih al-Bukhari, as we will talk about in an upcoming article, God willing, to demolish the lies about it as well). ู€ All of this is known by the scholars of hadith (or scholars of the term hadith) from what they collected about the details of the lives of every companion, follower, follower of the follower, and narrators (which is what is called the translation of a person): such as the year of their birth and death - and at the hands of those who heard the knowledge and hadith - and from their students who heard from them after that. - Where did they travel - and when did they travel - and what were their morals and justice? - Or what was the injury to their morals and justice? - Did their memorization change as they grew older, for example, or not - and when exactly did this change in their memorization occur - and so on ู€ This is what is called in Hadith science (Books of Biographies) or (Books of Jarh and Taโ€™deel) or (Ilm al-Rijal).
The question again: Do we now see any relationship between that accuracy of science of hadith and the popular experience in which there is a row of random, unknown people who were not selected according to any criterion: neither in memorization, nor understanding, nor accuracy, nor knowledge, nor honesty?! ู€ This means that if we wanted to apply (some) of the rules of hadith science to the experiment, before we chose the people in the class, we would first test: the strength of their memorization - and the accuracy of their verbal or motor performance!! Then we choose those who pass the test!! ู€ ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ Second: The number of people and narrators!! ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ In the popular experience, 20 or 30 and perhaps more people were included - while in the science of hadith, oral transmission ends as soon as it is written down - as long as it is written down, then it has been preserved in a book and the transmission process has ended. ู€ This only follows the oral narrations - as it is known that there were companions who (wrote) hadiths in the life of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace - such as our master Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas - and we are also not talking about (the Qurโ€™an) which Muslims recite as it is in their prayers five times a day. (In addition to standing, worshiping, Tarawih, etc.)!! Moreover, the Qurโ€™an is written and preserved!! ู€ Therefore, even the number of many people in the dozens in a row in the popular experience is not suitable for comparison in the science of hadith!! The longest chain of transmission for a hadith is only one hadith in Sahih al-Bukhari, consisting of 9 narrators (which is a hadith of woe to the Arabs)!! Most of the hadiths are less than that ู€ It is enough for us to know that the first (collection) of written hadiths from the Companions and followers who were contemporary with the Companions was in the year 100 AH - at the instruction of the Commander of the Faithful, Omar bin Abdul Aziz, the fifth of the Rightly Guided Caliphs - and this hundred years is the death of the last companion of the Companions, who was (Amer bin Wathilah Al-Laithi - Abu Tufail). )!! ู€ This means that if one of the scholars of that period narrated a hadith on the authority of Wathilah al-Laythi, on the authority of a companion older than him, on the authority of the Prophet: there would be no one between them!! It means a chain of transmission from one person, then the Prophet!! Thus, we see many chains of narration between its recording in the books of hadith and the Prophet having only two or three narrations (therefore, it is one of the most authentic and highest chains of narrations) - such as: - Al-Zuhriโ€™s narration on the authority of Salem, on the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet!! And like the narration of Malik on the authority of Nafiโ€™ on the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with him!! Imam Malikโ€™s Muwatta was compiled in 158 AH!! This means that there is only 2 between him and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace!! - Is there a comparison between that and a row of 20 or 30?!! By the way, most of Imam Malikโ€™s Muwatta is found in the Musnad of Imam Ahmad and in the Sahih of Imam al-Bukhari, as we will see in an upcoming article. These are just some of the thousands of chains of narrations from the Followers and Companions on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace!! Glory be to God Almighty - ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ Third: The power of preserving the early Arabs ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ It is what the Arab nation was famous for even before Islam - one of them used to memorize hundreds and thousands of verses of poetry!! They used to hold competitions in their most famous markets (such as Souq Okaz) - and the hospitality was as great as the seven well-known commentators. - This leads us to a question: How do those with poor memory today measure such abilities in themselves?! Is there any similarity between them and those Arabs with the ability to memorize most of them?!! Indeed, by God, most of us today hardly remember a phone number except our own phone!! If it increases, it may be one or two numbers with difficulty!! This is due to the feature of saving numbers in our mobile phones - but before the spread of these mobile phones: most of us used to save at least 20 landline numbers, for example, for our phone and the phones of our family, friends, and work!! ู€ The need to memorize is what stimulates and activates the memorization parts of the brain - and the Arab and Bedouin in ancient times used to walk in deserts extending for hundreds of kilometers, and he must memorize the routes of walking in them with every precision and every detail, no matter how small, otherwise the sand will swallow him - or he will get lost and die of thirst or burn under the flames of the sun. !! ู€ ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ Fourth: The importance of the topic ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ Of course, there is a difference between 20 or 30 random people who may not have a specific lofty goal or sacred duty, such as reporting on the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in common - unlike the science of hadith, which creates a religious and doctrinal motivation within each narrator to increase concentration, memorization, and attention to the highest levels - and out of hope for the Prophetโ€™s promise. Peace be upon him : - ((May God bless a person who hears a hadith from us and memorizes it until someone else conveys it. Perhaps he carries jurisprudence to someone who is more knowledgeable than him, and perhaps he carries jurisprudence and is not a jurist.)) Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and others with an authentic chain of transmission. - Likewise, fear of the threat of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace: ((Lying about me is not the same as lying about anyone else. Whoever lies about me intentionally, let him take his seat in Hell)) Narrated by Al-Bukhari and others with an authentic chain of transmission. - Therefore, we are not surprised that, to this day - in addition to the annual Qurโ€™an memorization competitions (and this alone is a miracle that we did not talk about): there are competitions for memorizing the entire six or nine books of hadith!! It means support and text!! And from whom? From children under the age of eleven and fifteen!! - (The six hadith books: Sahih Al-Bukhari - Sahih Muslim - Sunan Al-Tirmidhi - Sunan Al-Nasaโ€™i - Sunan Ibn Majah - Sunan Abi Dawud) and the nine additional books (Muwattaโ€™ of Imam Malik - Musnad of Imam Ahmad - Sunan Al-Darimi) - Glory be to Him, the Guide, Glory be to Him, who facilitates the memorization of religious texts - ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ Fifth: What did the fair non muslim people say about the science of hadith?! ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ And here we mean non-Muslims (especially Christians) - who (and some of you may be shocked by this information): They do not have the original text of the Gospels as spoken by Jesus, peace be upon him!! Since the oldest 4 Gospels were approved by the Council of Nicaea in 235 AD and the rest were burned: they were written in Greek!! While Jesus, peace be upon him, spoke Hebrew or Aramaic!! ู€ู€ This is a big point and question mark in the face of the โ€œFormation of Atheistsโ€ Foundation, led by Ibrahim Issa, for its attempt to cast doubt on the Sunnah and Islamic history!! Where, as is the custom of atheists and their selectivity: he tries to butt the mountain of steadfast and solid hadith in which every word has an authentic or weak chain of narration!! He leaves out the Christian Gospels, which do not even qualify as โ€œthe story of the life of Christ,โ€ peace be upon him!! There are no chains of narration in it at all (neither authentic nor weak) ู€ The meaning, in more detail, is that the 4 official Christian Gospels are of unknown lineage and the status of the writers (Matthew, Luke, John, and Mark). Therefore, they do not even qualify to be compared to the books of the Sunnah, Hadith, and Biography (although our Biography books are much weaker than the Hadith books), but at least they have chains of narration. We judge from it whether it is strong or weak - and it is mentioned in it who is narrating from whom!!) ู€ Thus, we confirm the orientation of an atheistic institution such as (Takween) and that it was not supported externally or internally except to fight Islam only!! Therefore, there is no surprise if among its members is the priest Rifaat Fikri... whose job is to try to polish Christianity after the atheists who are with him question Islam!! -
Christian historian: Asad Rustam
He is the first one we will mention quickly: he is a Lebanese Christian doctor and historian - who worked as a professor of Arab history at the American University of Beirut - and who holds a doctorate in history from the University of Chicago - he says: - ((Hadith: knowledge and narration History: knowledge and narration: So we have a term for history, just as hadith scholars have a term for hadith!! This is from the introduction to his book ((The Concept of History)) - The historian doctor called in his book and his long scientific career that it is time for the science of history to be disciplined in its narration - and for precise and decisive rules to be established for accepting transmission, just as the Muslims did in the science of hadith, which he described as: ((A modern scientific method: to correct news and narrations))!! - Then comes an ignorant person like Ibrahim Issa, who makes a mistake in every two words he says about the Sunnah, biography, or history - and as he did in his first video at the Takween Foundation (watch Dr. Haitham Talaatโ€™s video: Enlightenment by forgery Ibrahim Issa and questioning the Prophetโ€™s biography). We will put his link in the comments. ู€ Indeed, Asad Rustam says more clearly: ((Among what Farid mentions with admiration and appreciation is what hadith scholars have reached hundreds of years ago in this regard, and here is some of what was stated in their works, which we present verbatim and to the letter, in acknowledgment of their scientific scrutiny, and in recognition of their credit to history))!! - Glory be to God Almighty The thing that atheists and deniers of the Sunnah do not stop at because of their extreme ignorance is that โ€œthe science of hadithโ€ in Islam is a unique science that has not existed in any nation before!! Indeed, all the famous historians in the world were just telling stories: we do not even know enough information about the historians themselves (truthful - lying - learned - ignorant) - and perhaps Herodotus is the best example of this and the funny wonders that his writings contain (such as what he reported about the reason for the color of Negroes by The Abyssinian sperm is black!! ู€ Rather: All the narrations of history are whose authors or recorders are unknown, whether in what we find in manuscripts or on walls and temples!! Did they believe it? Did they lie? Did they exaggerate? Who are they even?! no one knows !! ู€ As for Islam: it is never like this, thanks to God

This is because when God Almighty promised to memorize the Qurโ€™an: it was logical for him to inspire Muslims to memorize the clear Sunnah of the Qurโ€™an, as we said before!! Prayer is mentioned in the Qurโ€™an and the Prophet explained and performed it. How will it reach Muslims over hundreds of years if it is not made easy for Muslims to memorize the Sunnah orally and in writing?!

ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ Orientalist Margoliouth ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ This man, David Samuel Margoliouth, did not leave anything in Islam without trying to cast doubt on it, even literature and history. However, despite his lying to distort the Sunnah sometimes, his scholarly standing refused to admit the truth reluctantly, so as not to lose the trust of his students and followers in him!! - He says :
But though the theory of the Isnad has occasioned endless trouble, owing to the inquiries which have to be made into the trustworthiness of each transmitter, and the fabrication of traditions was a familiar and at times easily tolerated practice, its value in making for accuracy cannot be questioned, and the Muslims are justified in taking pride in their science of tradition.

While modern studies have proven a constant difference in evaluating the authenticity and accuracy of ancient narratives (i.e. in non-Islamic narratives): we find that a careful examination of it (i.e. the science of hadith) with its attention to the chains of transmission and chain of transmission and its careful collection and preservation of variables in the transmitted narrative gives medieval Arab history professionalism and development. Never before in ancient times!! Without even finding anything like it in the West in the Middle Ages at that time!! ู€ When comparing it (i.e. the science of hadith among Muslims) with Latin Christian history: the latter appears poor and weak!! Even the most advanced and complex methods of history in the Greek Christian world are still less than the historical works of Islam in terms of total diversity, volume and depth of analysis!! ู€ Original text : From an early date Muslim scholars recognized the danger of false testimony and hence false doctrine, and developed an elaborate science for criticizing tradition. " Traditional science", as it was called, differed in many respects from modern historical source criticism, and modern scholarship has always disagreed with evaluations of traditional scientists about the authenticity and accuracy of ancient narratives. But their careful scrutiny of the chains of transmission and their meticulous collection and preservation of variants in the transmitted narratives give to medieval Arabic historiography a professionalism and sophistication without precedent in antiquity and without parallel in the contemporary medieval West. By comparison, the historiography of Latin Christendom seems poor and meagre, and even the more advanced and complex historiography of Greek Christendom still falls short of the historical literature of Islam in volume, variety and analytical depth. ู€ source: Bernard Lewis, Islam In History, 1993, Open Court Publishing, pp.104-105 ู€ ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ู€ We will suffice with this amount so as not to prolong it Especially after Bernard Lewis's last statement and his comparison of the knowledge of hadith and its accuracy in Islam: with the poor Latin Christian history!! Will the atheist (free thinkers) inspire us in (Genesis): By directing some of their outstanding geniuses to criticize the weariness of the Gospels and Christian books?! Or is the guidance and support, as we said, intended to fight Islam only?!

Usefulness: 1/5
Item #: SCP-049

Subjects who come into physical contact with SCP-049 may suddenly cease all life functions if SCP-049 so chooses. SCP-049 often performs surgery on corpses - preferably Humans - and crudly reanimates them in an attempt to cure them of a presumably supernatural โ€œPestilence.โ€ The nature of this Pestilence is unknown, if it exists.
Battlefield Summary: SCP-049 allowed to reanimate deceased xeno subjects for the Foundation war effort.
Additional Notes: SCP-049 willingly joined Operatin 5000 after declaring that the xenos were also infected with the โ€œPestilence.โ€

2024.05.16 22:14 nowhereman86 Are primary sources from politicians not considered reliable?

I was having a discussion on a different subreddit about the use of atomic bombs in Japan. The argument being made was that the bombs didnโ€™t have an influence on the end of the war. I pointed to Hirohitos surrender broadcast where he specifically mentions the bombs as one of the reasons Japan is surrendering.
Needless to say someone said that it could not be used as a reliable source because politicians lie and usually have ulterior motives.
Iโ€™m just curious how actual historians view this rebuttal and if Hirohitos speech is seen in this particular instance as justifications for use of the atomic bombs.

2024.05.16 22:08 ssup2406 Do any of y'all sound/speak like Morgan Foley (a video of hers for reference in the post)??

Here's a video for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzpLrh0EdZY
My sample size of autistic people who speak with like the same intonation and speech pattern as her is now at 3 (including her), I think there's a pattern here (that us folks are more likely to speak like she does at the very least??)?? This thing I've observed is regardless of gender and assigned sex at birth, so don't discount yourself if you don't match with hers

2024.05.16 21:54 lsthmus 16 years ago, to this date, Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj Banjade were murdered. Who did it?

Today marks the anniversary of the murders of Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj Banjade.
Noida, India. 16th May 2008. A city that was for the more well off. It had many amenities, and you could say the middle and upper classes lived there.
Aarushi was the daughter of two dentists, and living with them was a full-time household helper Hemraj, 45. He was Nepalese and had been employed for around a year by the family, replacing another Nepalese helper after impressing the Talwars. Hemraj had a wife and family of his own back in Nepal. He would cook food for the family, was given a phone by them, and seemed trusted to be around Aarushi.
Aarushi was a well liked girl who was starting to take more interest in her appearance as she entered teenagehood. Her family were not particularly conservative by their own description. Aarushi had a boyfriend and often spoke to him over the phone. She had been talking to him on the phone on the days preceding her death as well as for 30 minutes at 9pm on 15/05/08.
Aarushi was conceived through IVF. She was an only child and of busy parents and often went to bed late after reading her books and chatting with friends. She had her own mobile and loved to take photos of herself. She did well at school and appeared your typical, happy teenage girl with everything going for her.
Aarushi was discovered in her bed with a fatal skull fracture and a slit throat. A few days after the decomposing body of Hemraj, the household servant, was found concealed on the rooftop terrace. Aarushi's parents Rajesh and Nupur Talwar claimed innocence and were acquitted of murder charges less than 4 years into their sentence. The other known suspects were never convicted due to lack of evidence.
Her parents allegedly discovered her, and the exact events of the night are disputed and hard to corroborate. This is due investigation was bungled from the start by lazy and inexperienced police work. A scene was not established at the earliest opportunity, and vital forensic samples were not recovered.
The parents alleged never hearing anything during the night, despite their bedroom being next door to Aarushis. They claimed a loud AC unit masked all outside sound.
There are multiple allegations of tampering with the crime scene by the parents of Aarushi, who invited over neighbours and family in the immediate aftermath of the supposed discovery of Aarushi's murder. In addition, there were multiple calls between the parents and their relative who was ex-police. In the days following the murder and accusations that were influencing the post-mortem report in order for any references to sexual assault be removed.
At every step of the investigation, there were frustrations and twists.
Questions
There were multiple law enforcement teams investigating the murders at different points. Their conclusions pointed to the parents or associates of Hemraj. The Noida police, UP police, and CBI all investigated.
There are a lot of theories as to what happened. I have found myself reflecting on certain facts/points rather than formulating a brand new theory.
16 years in there is likely never to be any fresh evidence to examine.
Aarushi
Edit: Forgot to mention that Aarushi's boyfriend angle is significant too.
RIP Aarushi and Hemraj
Thanks for reading.

2024.05.16 20:18 soundandfision Is there a word for a phrase that you repeat twice but replace the last couple of words for similar sounding words to change the meaning of the second phrase?

I wish I could think of more examples of this but I really can't.
"It's not about doing a job that's thankless, it's about doing a job where you're thanked less."
I swear this is used all the time in motivational speaker speeches but I just can't think of what to call it.
