I had 17 days but I drank a bottle of wine on Wednesday night because I was angry and upset about something that happened in work. Went to bed angry still that night anyway, so stupid. I was hungover yesterday in work with a pounding headache, and had to do a presentation where my heart was beating so fast that I thought I might pass out. Unfortunately I drank another bottle to rid myself of the hangxiety. This is how the cycle always continues for me. I drink to relieve myself of stress, then I drink to relieve myself of the consequences of drinking until I’m drinking every single day. I can’t moderate, once I have alcohol I need alcohol. I have generalised anxiety disorder and self medicated for years this way, not fully recognising drinking was making my anxiety exponentially worse. After a period of sobriety it becomes so obvious that’s what’s happening.
I’m in a relationship with a fellow alcoholic and he bought more wine last night, then drank half the bottle he bought for me this morning. I just poured the rest of it down the sink because I don’t want it around me. I think that’s the first time I’ve thrown away alcohol. I’m not drinking today. I’m determined that this slip up isn’t going to turn into another months-long binge, even if I am living with someone who is drunk. He might not feel he needs alcohol out of his life but it needs to be out of mine. It is making this harder though having someone who so easily enables you, as I probably have done to him in the past too.

Of course, God does not want to force us to do something, it is our choice, but it is great wisdom to listen to the advice that God gives us because God does not want us to perish so that all may live, and that is the meaning of the word "repentance" from 2 Peter.

God is almighty
In the Bible, we find through different time periods and different manifestations of God's omnipotence, so we will mention some.
We see from the Bible that Abraham was 99 years old, but that he had no offspring, and on one occasion God appeared to Abraham and said:

And here we can see God's omnipotence, because he told Abraham something that was not very clear to the human mind, but it was very clear to God, that's why he said it to Abraham. We later see from the Bible that this promise was fulfilled, and it was fulfilled because God is omnipotent because He possesses all the knowledge and then it is no problem to fulfill the given promise. This or a similar promise can only be given by God because he is omnipotent, and let's imagine that now we humans make a promise about something that will happen in the future. Humans are very intelligent beings and practically they can create anything they want up to certain limits, but in creation we read that God used only a word and it was created, he did not need any material like we need to create something and there is another proof that God is almighty.

“... they’re called the Satura,” Vargas explained, while Mike ladled himself a second helping of the beef bourguignon. “It’s not what they call themselves,” he hastened to add, “it’s just the word ‘enemy’ in some ancient human tongue. At least, that’s what we’ve been told.”
“Told by who?” the sergeant asked.
“By those who reside further in the future,” Amélie informed him. “They have far more knowledge of the enemy than we do.”
He gave the Frenchwoman a confused look. “You must understand, Sergeant Delany, that time travel is extremely difficult,” Vargas continued. “It requires a great deal of energy, and much like your automobile, the farther you go, the more energy is required. Unlike your vehicle, however, it’s not a simple 1:1 ratio. Like the speed of light, it’s bound by the same parameters of the E=mc² equation that Einstein first theorized.”
Mike just stared at him. Vargas sighed. “You do know who Einstein is, right?”
The paratrooper suddenly got defensive. “Of course I know who he is,” Delany sniffed. “German scientist. Something about atoms, I think?” he guessed.
The astronaut looked as if he were physically ill. “Patience, Anton,” Amélie counseled, patting his arm. “Remember how much I struggled with these concepts, at first.”
He nodded his head in agreement. “You’re right,” he grimaced. “My apologies, sergeant. It’s just that Einstein and his Theory of Relativity are famous in my time, and much of the population understands at least some of its ramifications. I occasionally forget that his work was heavily classified during your era, and for good reason.”
Mike’s brow furrowed. “What reason?” he asked.
The other two shared a look before Antonio picked up a small black device and pointed it at a nearby wall. “Do you recall me telling you that World War II… your war… ended a year after your death?” Mike nodded. “Well,” the astronaut continued, “... here’s how it happened.”
Delany’s eyes widened in shock as a massive explosion suddenly appeared on the wall, the detail of the display so realistic he almost hit the deck in response. A massive fireball rose over a ruined city, while a shockwave slammed into the nearby surroundings.
“Hiroshima, Japan,” Vargas said quietly. “August 6th, 1945. America had been working in secret for years to develop an atomic bomb, originally because Nazi scientists were working on the same thing. The thought of them getting hold of this technology first terrified people… with good reason, I might add… only Germany surrendered before a working prototype could be tested.”
He couldn’t take his eyes off the mushroom-shaped cloud. “Were the Japs working on a bomb too?” he asked them.
The astronaut winced at the ethnic slur, but let it pass. “No,” he answered, “that kind of technology was beyond their capabilities. The US used the bomb to force them to surrender, only the one they dropped on Hiroshima wasn’t enough.” He got a distant look in his eyes. “So they did it again, three days later, at Nagasaki. It too, was destroyed.” Blanking the wall screen, he turned back to face the soldier. “A month after that, the Japanese surrendered. Unconditionally. That’s what Einstein’s theory helped to create.”
Mike’s jaw set in a hard line. “Don’t count on me feeling sorry for them.”
Vargas held up his hand. “Two hours ago, you were fighting for your life. I don’t expect you to just suddenly forget all of that. But from my perspective, that war ended a century ago. Germany and Japan are now some of America’s staunchest allies.”
“In your time,” Amélie emphasized.
He took a moment to process all of that. “Well, I appreciate the history lesson. Good to know that we won the war. But what’s any of it got to do with these aliens we’re supposed to be fighting?”
“I was just getting to that,” Antonio replied. “The Theory of Relativity says, among other things, that the closer you get to the speed of light, like ninety percent on up, the energy required to accelerate increases exponentially. It’s why nothing can go faster than that, because it would require infinite energy. Which is impossible.”
Amélie leaned in, a wicked smile on her face. “Unless you cheat, as we do.”
“What she means is there are loopholes within the equations we can exploit,” Vargas clarified. “Moving an object in time, such as a human, requires energy. The further you travel, the more it costs, until eventually, you reach a point where you hit a wall. None of us can journey more than two or three centuries from our point of origin, because of the energy cost requirements. After that?” He shrugged. “You simply bounce off an invisible barrier.”
Mike thought about that for a minute. “Then how can you possibly know what’s happening in the far future?” he asked.
“Way stations,” the Frenchwoman supplied. “Picture a series of forts, strung along the frontier. While we cannot travel physically to the nearby garrisons, we can signal them. Information can be passed from one to another, up and down the line.”
“Much like the old Pony Express,” Vargas supplied. “It’s not a perfect system, unfortunately. Information can be lost, or garbled. But it’s what we have,” he shrugged.
“So… there’s a series of outposts stretching to the distant past and the far future? Sending signals back and forth, working together against a common enemy?” It was a lot to take in, but Mike felt like he was making sense of it.
“Well… you are half right,” Amélie admitted unhappily. “While there are many such way stations in our future, behind us?” She shook her head. “Que dalle. Nothing.”
Mike stared at her. “I don’t understand.”
“It’s the technology,” Antonio sighed. “It’s simply too complicated for someone born much earlier than the late twentieth century to grasp. Take me, for example,” he said, indicating himself. “I was a combat pilot in the Navy, before I became an astronaut, flying aircraft that would have easily defeated the entire Luftwaffe. I also hold advanced degrees in engineering and physics, but when I look at the schematics sent to us from up time?” He held up his hands in surrender. “I feel like a chimpanzee staring at a P-51.”
“Anton has tutored me for years, and there is still much I do not understand,” Amélie informed him.
“Even if we were talking about a certified genius, someone like Da Vinci, for example, for them to make sense of the information they’d need to recreate all of this?” He spread his arms wide, encompassing the structure surrounding them. “It would be like trying to decipher hieroglyphics. We’ve sent messages to the past, hoping that someone somehow managed the impossible, but we’ve never received a reply.” Vargas sighed in defeat. “Which means we are the last line of defense.”
“The three of us,” Mike said, deadpan. “What the hell are we supposed to do?”
“Our mission is threefold,” the astronaut explained. “First, to detect and counter any temporal incursions by the enemy. Second, to take the fight to the enemy, whenever and wherever possible. And finally, to retrieve those like us, individuals who have become untethered in time, and recruit them to the cause.”

“But… wouldn’t you just return here?” he asked them.
“I’m afraid not,” Vargas disagreed. “Like I said, it requires the energy output of a Tachyon weapon to disconnect you from the timeline. We can create a temporary link that will keep you in place, like a climber’s safety harness. But it doesn’t last long, because the physics of our old timeline are already hard at work unraveling it. If you wait too long…” he shrugged.
“... you fall to your death,” Mike finished for him. The other man nodded somberly in agreement. He took a long draught of his wine, his mind spinning as he struggled to make sense of all he’d learned. In the end, he just shrugged.
“In that case, since I don’t have any choice… I volunteer,” he told them both, plastering on his best counterfeit smile as he held out the empty goblet.
“I could use a refill,” he said wryly.

Logs: I wasn't able to gather any relevant logs.
Has anyone had an issue with ghost inputs? When I connect either my DualSense or DualShock, the controller is detected, but there are ghost inputs, as if the controller is sending both the XInput (ABXY) and DInput inputs, and the game is spazzing out trying to accept both set of inputs.
What I've tried:

Turn off Steam (to prevent SteamInput from being difficult)
Tried connecting with Bluetooth, no difference
Tried RUNE PROPER crack (supposed to have controller fixes, already applied to the DODI repack, but tried anyway with both DODI and InsaneRamZes)
Tried different versions of Wine-GE and Proton-GE (with Steam runtime), makes no difference
Tried Proton with Dualsense patches (to support haptics and resistive triggers), crashes on launch, but last version I could find is fairly old, so not looking too much into this, I'm fine with normal controls without DualSense triggers and haptics
Tried overriding dinput8 to native, no effect

What seems to have had effect, but hasn't fixed:

Going in the WINE control panel interface, and overriding the 'Wireless Controller' entry disables Xinput and stops the game from spazzing out, but the controller mapping is now wrong, with CIRCLE being X and SQUARE being CIRCLE. The game does not support remapping, and I'm not sure if it is possible to remap in WINE/Proton.

I think the earliest memory of me getting drunk was some time in primary; my parents were not that strict as they allowed us to have some wine, especially at family events. So one time, I got so drunk that I tipped over the cake at one of our relatives' wedding parties. Fast forward to campus, I always took pride in the fact that I could take hard liquor without punching, often getting too drunk and making a nuisance of myself. But then the stories I heard from my friends always sounded fun. It was nothing too serious, just a bit of silly stories and dances here and there. But the fact was that I could never remember anything the night before.I am also not really a social person as I find it hard to interact without alchol.Of recent, I was out with a friend and boda guys beat us up, and I woke up in the hospital with my mother looking at me. It brought tears to my eyes; I remembered how she had sacrificed so much for me to be able to reach here. So as I have started my new journey, I realize I actually have no friends; it was always drinking buddies. I am finding it particularly hard to find hobbies to join as I can't stay home all the time because that also breeds other problems. So any advice would be appreciated." “Incredible!”
The rebel reeled from the punch, the fist slamming through his protective helmet and cracking his jaw. He choked out a sob at the pain and the feeling of several of his teeth being knocked down his throat.
“This? This is what you send to try and rebel against the Imperium?! THIS?!”
A harsh kick was sent into the rebels stomach, making him cough up the rations he had that morning and a few of the once missing teeth. He grabbed his stomach and his body made to tilt forward and lay in the dust.
Only he was stopped as an armored gauntlet grabbed him by the throat and forced him to stand. His hands came up and grabbed at his attackers wrist as he stared into his own grim reaper.
Said killer wore the helmet of the Macraggian Auxilia, his faceplate being that of a stylized skull. His rank was shown proudly in the form of a centurions plum, blue and white horsehair picked out atop a gilded mount on the top of his helmet.
“Incredible. It’s truly incredible what passes for rebellion these days hm?”
The soldiers behind the centurion laughed or smiled as they watched their leader hoist the rebel up as if the rebel was some game beast that was just recently hunted. Pressure in the form of steam shot out of the centurions wrist, betraying the hidden augmented limb under the armor. The rebel tried to speak, scratching at the Centurion’s arm.
“What? Speak up damn you, and speak clearly. I have no time or patience to hear some long speech about tyranny or whatever else. We have your city to burn insurgent.”
And burn it would. Two large tanks with massive flamers could be seen in the back, protected by infantry and assault vehicles. The main force would break the walls, the infantry would kill the people, and the tanks would burn the rest to ashes.
“Aghh….thill….you….thasard!”
The rebel said, spitting blood and bone fragments from his shattered jaw through what was left of his faceplate.
“Ah. Nothing interesting to say. Oh well.”
The rebel tried in vain to speak again but was silenced as the centurion forced a power gladius through his mouth. He was then unceremoniously dropped to the dust, choking on blood as he watched the Macraggian soldiers march on his home. The last thing he saw before dying was his killer, taking his helmet off and smiling in a wide, cocky manner. ————————————————————————
“Don’t spare the body men, he was a rebel. March over him.”
Tiberius Victor, Centurion of the 3rd Macraggain Legion, yelled as he wiped the grim that had built up over his helmet. He scowled at the filth that adorned his armor and sighed.
“Bloody rebels will pay for more than just rebellion. Look at this! They scratched my faceplate! And that bastard I just killed dared to spit blood at me! Oh they will pay tenfold.”
He chuckled and shrugged as he replaced his helmet. He rolled his head and drew the lapistol he had holstered at his side. He examined it for a moment before shaking his head.
“Ugh….to easy.”
He holstered the pistol again and flourished his gladius as he grabbed the handholds of a Leman Russ tank that was about to pass him by. He climbed up until he stood on top of the tank and crouched down, using his newfound height to look over his army and the objective.
The city was massive….but so were the last three he had burned. Both Imperial Army and even Ultramarine Legion Command had told him he was too far ahead and that he needed to slow down. But where was the fun in that? Besides, the campaign has been far too easy thus far. He had suffered very few casualties, his men were never hungry and his tanks never ran dry on fuel, and the enemy bled. Oh how they bled.
He sighed.
“Easy. Far too easy. Captain?”
The command hatch the tank he rode popped open and a woman in the dirty coveralls and goggled helmet of a tank commander. She looked around, rubbing her eyes before turning and smiling widely. She gave a crisp salute, one which he lazily returned, before nodding.
“Aye my Centurion?”
“Do we have any more wine about? I’m parched from all these victories we keep piling on.”
The captain cringed then turned towards the city.
“Uh….my centurion? Wouldn’t you rather have some water?”
Tiberius turned his head towards the captain, the tilt of his head betraying the cocky smile hidden beneath that the captain and the rest of the army had come to love and hate.
“Captain….are you questioning me?”
“I-no! No, of course not my centurion! But uh….well….”
He made a ‘go on’ motion with his hand, not bothering to stand up from the relaxed position he had taken. He had laid down on his side, his sword hand having sheathed his gladius to prop his head up.
“Well….shouldn’t uh….shouldn’t wine be saved for victory?”
The centurion stared at her for a moment. A very long moment. Perhaps….to long of a moment.
“I….I apologize my centurion! I will-“
Laughter. The centurion was laughing, something he rarely did outside of combat or when around the campfires at night. He laughed loudly and caught the attention of several other Auxilia soldiers.
“True! Haha! I knew I kept you around for something Captain. Fine, me and you shall share the first bottle of wine after that….excuse for a city burns. Return to your duties captain.”
He waved the captain off then turned his head back to the city, not moving out of his relaxed position. She knew better then to consider him lazy or incompetent, she had seen him in action.
She saluted and quickly went back down into her tank. ————————————————————————
He held his helmet in the crook of his arm. He breathed in deeply, smiling as he watched the city burn. Something grabbed his boot and looked down, only to scowl in disgust.
A woman, her lower half aflame with one leg missing, held onto his boot and shin guard.
“Please….mercy! We surrender!”
He raised an eyebrow and followed the trail the rebel left in the dust to see several more wounded and scared rebels. One held up a white rag on a piece of rebar as a white flag.
Several of his auxilia aimed their rifles at the rebels as a sergeant began to moved forward with a pair of restraints.
He was stopped by Tiberius’s sword.
“Sergeant? What are you doing?”
“Uh…taking prisoners sir?”
The centurion tilted his head and smiled widely.
“Prisoners? I don’t recall ordering anyone to take prisoners.”
He lifted his boot and stomped on the wounded woman’s head, smiling wickedly at the crunch he heard under his foot.
“Uh….no my Centurion but legion command has-“
“Legion command? You are taking orders from Ultramarines instead of telling me that such orders have come through?”
“There was no time sir! The orders came fro-“
Tiberius put his helmet on and shoved the sergeant to the side, ripping the rifle from the soldiers hands.
“I see no space marines here soldier. I see soldiers and I see rebels. We kill rebels because we are soldiers.”
He took aim at the closest rebel, put his finger on the trigger and-
“Thats enough Centurion.”
He stopped. He slowly turned his head towards the new, feminine voice behind him.
“Excuse me troo-“
He stopped again and stared. She had to have been 10 feet or at least close, this goddess in blue and gold. Her short, cropped hair was golden blonde and a green, metallic laurel wreath was wrapped around her head to add to her noble features. She came with several ultramarines as an honor guard in tow but he was sure she could handle anything thrown her way with ease.
“The Lady of Macragge.”
He whispered in awe before looking around. Those under his command had shared his awe but where he shook himself free, the rest still stared.
“Damn you all, our Lady is here! Bow damn you! All of you bow!”
He paced up and down the line, ensuring his auxilia bowed. He then turned towards the rebels and pointed at the guards who stood over them.
“Them too, cmon now. Bow!”
The rebels resisted the guards orders and movements. The centurions rage grew as he stormed over and pulled his gladius from its sheath.
“I command thee BOW.”
He sliced the back of the knees of one of the captives, the man yelping in pain before yelling in agony from his nearly cut tendons. The rest fell in line quickly.
Tiberius marched towards the Primarch, her honor guard bringing their weapons to bare only for him to kneel down and stab his gladius into the dirt.
“My Lady. Centurion Tiberius Victor of the 3rd Macraggian Legion reporting.”
The Primarch stared down at the Centurion before her eyes went up and around. She took note of the rather large number of prisoners and the burning cityscape around them.
“A good campaign Centurion?”
Tiberius nodded, smiling widely under his helmet.
“Yes my Lady. I only wish it weren’t so boring, so easy! But it is done.”
It took every ounce of self control to not scowl at his arrogant and cocky nature. He spoke as if he had stomped on a bug rather than a rebels skull. Yet….something about him caught her attention.
“Remove your helm centurion.”
He did so without delay, removing his helmet and setting it at her feet. His hair was cut in the traditional military ‘high and tight’ fashion and he was mostly clean cut save for a well trimmed mustache that went no further than the corners of his mouth.
“I recall telling my command staff to recall you back as you had pushed to far ahead. Yet we stand here at the city we were meant to take, the one we were meant to hold. The one….that is currently burning to ashes around us. What do you have to say for yourself Centurion?”
He said nothing for a long time. Then, to her surprise, he laughed. The auxilia around them slowly looked at each other, their faces hidden beneath their helmets but all were worried or tense.
“Hahah! Ah….I say mission accomplished my Lady. I also say that this light really brings out the color of your eyes.”
He laughed again and slowly stood up while extending his arms out wide.
“I say I give you the best gift this galaxy can offer to someone like you from someone like me.”
His smile grew into the same cocky, full of himself grin those under his command knew so well.
“I give you victory, my Lady Juno.”
He held his gladius up and flourished it, letting the blade catch the firelight of a dying city.
“Victory.”

They went to Amsterdam. They ended up at a hostel with 5 beds in a room. She didn’t want to do that.

2024.05.17 09:40 Pendant2935 OMAD complete, reflections on reaching my target weight.

I woke up this morning, stepped on the scale, and had hit my target weight so thought I'd jot down some thoughts.
None of this is really going to be news to anyone who's been on OMAD for a while.

The book Fast. Eat. Repeat. is pretty terrible. Don't bother with it.
The fasting part of OMAD is (mostly) not the key. It's just a nice hack to limit calories.
All the talk about "it's great not having to cook/meal plan all the time" is kinda true but also a bit meaningless unless you're single. I'm still doing the same amount of cooking and whatnot for my family. But now I just kind of hover awkwardly while they eat pancakes.
That said, the fasting does have a couple of nice by-products.
1. When you only have one meal a day, it really makes you pay attention the quality of it. You can't kid yourself that you're going to eat more vegetables/fibewhatever in another meal that deal.
2. It forces you to realise that being hungry is just a feeling that passes and not the end of the world. Even after being on OMAD for months I still hungry at non mealtimes sometimes. I just ignore that feeling and eventually it goes away.
3. Having hard and fast rules about only eating one time a day is a good way to cut down on mindless calories from snacking & drinks.
OMAD is lot easier to do and still be social with friends and family. My wife had gestational diabetes so we were essentially on keto for a few months for that. Going out or meeting up with friends could sometimes be a nightmare. OMAD is a lot easier.
That said, OMAD doesn't make it perfect. If you do any social drinking, either at home with a spouse after a particularly long & hard day with the kids, or out with friends who want to catch up or vent or celebrate, that's borderline impossible with OMAD. You can only say "no thanks, not tonight" so many times without affecting the relationship.
I broke OMAD maybe 5-10% of the time? I didn't keep track exactly. Aforementioned social drinks. My kids had a birthday party and of course I'm not going to be a dick and say no to their cake. In-laws come over unexpectedly for dinner even after I've already eaten lunch. Three days out of town at a beach holiday. Things like that. One nice part about OMAD is it feels easier to take a break like that. Especially compared to something like keto where you're always "OMG it's going to take me 2-4 days to get back into ketosis..."
My wife was surprisingly unsupportive the entire time. Never underestimate how weird (some) people can be about any kind of diet that is slightly outside of the mainstream. (Just look at how much shit vegetarians and vegans have gotten over the decades.)
I didn't really have a goal to begin with, which in retrospect was a bit of a mistake. Just "need to lose weight because I'm getting way too much of a dad bod". Probably would have been better to think that through at the beginning.
I had never weighed myself daily before. It was eye opening and frustrating. Some days you know why things are fluctuating. Some days you're just left going WTF, how could I have possibly gained 0.5kg yesterday? That's like 3,000 calories above TDEE?!?
What's next? Figuring out what maintenance looks like. The social limitations of OMAD do chafe a bit. It is nice to have a glass of wine with my wife after the kids are in bed. It is nice to be able to have family breakfast on the weekend and also have family dinner together. It is nice when a friend calls me up last minute in the afternoon and asks if I want to grab dinner and catch up I don't go..."Well, I already ate lunch...." My guess is that I'll probably evolve towards some kind of flexible 20-4 eating window but we will see.

Really wanted to share on here as I’ve been following along since I started on Wegovy on 31st March and today I’ve officially lost 30lbs.
I haven’t really told anyone about this journey only my partner knows, I didn’t want to pressure of everyone knowing I was trying to lose weight and also felt slightly embarrassed that I needed drugs to help me.
But I have been amazed by the results so far, for the first time in my life I am developing a healthy relationship with food, I have been binge free since the day I started and I also haven’t purged or restricted in anyway. I would usually by this point of any other diet I’d been on cut myself down to a ridiculously low amount of calories and lost a ton of weight then failed monumentally by binging out of starvation. This is the first time since I was about 8/9 years old I have felt in control of my food habits.
I have had minimal side effects so far. I am about to move up to 1mg so aware they still might hit. Another nice perk has been my cravings for alcohol have completely stopped. I actually opened a bottle of wine the other evening as it was my partners birthday and had one glass only instead of finishing off the whole bottle. (Unheard of for me)
I have worked hard to stick to a calorie deficit and make positive changes to my diet but this drug has helped me so much in doing that. Here’s to the next 30lbs !!!!

Last week I travelled to Prescott College in Prescott, Arizona for a conference related to my enrolled PhD program. Amazing first off (Shout out to my PhD/graduate degree pursuers reading!). It’s hard to feel like you’ve found your “tribe” of people in a graduate school program (that genuinely feels non competitive and very supportive). Left on a total high.
My birthday was a few weeks ago, and I asked my mom if she wanted to come with me to Prescott, and then us travel to Sedona 1.5 hours away to revisit this place on earth we love. She said yes.
When I booked my flight to Phoenix a few months ago, I was like…welllll what’s Maynard’s wine making up to. The stars aligned for me.
My PhD program school was exactly 1 hour drive to ownewinemaker Maynard’s project at Caduceus Cellars in Cottonwood, and added bonus, the Puscifer Store in Jerome (where Maynard lives) was on the way to the winery.
It was so fucking cool. I was able to introduce my mom on the entire drive up my favorite PuscifeTool/APC songs on the drive. She was so impressed and was genuinely understanding of my (mild?) obsession with MJK and his (IMO) musical genius.
The point is. If you EVER have the opportunity and finances to book a small group wine tasting at Caduceus Cellars/Merkin Vineyards in Cottonwood, AZ - titled the “Velvet Slippers Ventura Tasting Room” - Do it. We got super lucky and it was just me and my mom that got an almost three hour wine tasting with amazing food pairings last week. Heard so many great stories about MJK and memorable tour stories from the leader of the private tastings.
I’m super into wine, and it was our first time really giving Arizona wines a shot. Was so impressed.
We also got extra lucky that the next day after our tasting, and we had tickets to a wine festival that MJK started back in 2017 with less than 1k people. Such a beautiful and memorable introduction to wine from a region I never expected to be so delicious.
