2024.05.17 14:20 _LordScar_ Game features that are significantly outdated

Intro

As an AFK Arena player, I've noticed several areas where the game could be improved to enhance the overall experience, particularly for casual players. These suggestions aim to address issues related to resource balance, AFK rewards, guild management, outdated features, and manual mode. By implementing these changes, AFK Arena can become more enjoyable and less time-consuming, aligning better with its "AFK" nature.

Resource Balance

Problem

Each campaign chapter slightly increases the income of gold and experience. However, the amount of gold required in the endgame is surprisingly low. In the early chapters, users spend a lot of gold to buy silver and gold emblems to upgrade SI. But in the endgame, these are no longer needed. Currently, I have over 2000 silver emblems, 2000 gold emblems (with all heroes having at least SI+20, even Walker), 61 billion XP, and 2 billion gold.

Possible solutions

AFK Rewards

Problem

For a game that has "AFK" in its name, the rewards we receive from AFK chests are ridiculously low. One bait and one red core per hour? And if you get extremely lucky, you might get two red chests? Thanks, that’s very generous. Currently, the only way to obtain meaningful rewards is through non-AFK activities.

Possible solutions

AFK rewards are significantly outdated and should be updated to include all necessary resources in meaningful amounts.

Guilds

Problem

Possible solutions

Purple Stones

Problem

Purple stones are an outdated game feature that hasn't aged well. Four years ago, there were fewer than 50 playable heroes, and most had some niche usage. Purple stones were a great way to enhance your roster. However, with over 150 heroes now, many of them are not viable, and the chances of getting a beneficial hero from purple stones are almost zero. Even Celestial and Hypogean heroes from purple stones don’t feel special anymore (I’m pretty sure I’ll use my L+ Mezoth someday... somehow).

Possible solutions

Manual Mode

Disclaimer: I know this is a controversial topic and I'm just expressing my thoughts as a casual player.

Problem

I dislike the manual mode in this game and try to avoid it as much as possible. In my opinion, it’s just a waste of time. I don't want to spend my time counting seconds in a Grotesque Mage TR fight or counting frames for Thoran Cheese against Brutus' invincibility frames in guild trials or the campaign. I recall there was a heated debate about removing manual mode in the AE, but personally, I was happy about it. Though I'm not a competitive player by any means.

Solution

Gear Management and Resonance

Problem

Solution

Summary

I understand that developers need to maintain profitability, so my suggestions are not just about "giving us more resources." Instead, they focus on aligning older game features with newer ones and removing obsolete elements. While this list is not exhaustive, it highlights key areas for improvement. Additionally, other aspects like smoother campaign progression for new players, making the labyrinth less of a chore, and improving the rewards for daily/weekly quests also need attention.

2024.05.17 14:16 Longjumping_Ad_7260 I know this may be a dumb question but I’ll wishfully ask anyway…🙏 (Two-Part Question)…?

So I’m trying to earn enough MFP, (68,250 to be exact) to buy the Hulk Hogan Legend card I can use to do the live event where I earn the Elite Mattel “Ichiban” Hogan.
Part 1: I’m 99% sure you cannot do this but I thought I’d wishfully ask anyway: I have other Legends cards. Is there anyway I can trade one of the legends cards I have for the Hogan one I need?
Part 2: I’ve watched some YouTube videos, but I wanted to get your guys’ personal strategies. What have you found to be your quickest way of earning MFP. I figure I can earn conservatively ~ 10,000 MFP a day.
I know one thing that helps is doing 8-Man tags, but in the videos I’ve seen the guy beats the match in a minute and a half and gets like 250-300 MFP each time! Like he does the matches so fast sometimes the game actually makes him wait for like a minute before he can do the match again! But I’m open to any/all strategies.
PS~ I know I could just buy the VC, but if I can earn the MFP I’d rather do that then spend more money.
I also have an older Xbox one X project Scorpio edition which about a month ago I had completely deep cleaned and they did a whole fresh coat of thermal paste, but I know when I’m in MyFaction the fans definitely spin harder, and so the flip side is I’m wondering is it worth it to save the “wear and tear” on the Xbox and the possible stress of say, doing a long match and earning a lot of points then losing for some dumb reason…
In case you guys couldn’t tell from this post, I have HORRIBLE Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and very bad anxiety issues 😢.
Again, any serious tips, tricks or advice will be GREATLY APPRECIATED 🙏.
Thanks again!

2024.05.17 14:14 StatisticianLast95 Are penis enlargement pills a scam? Yes, all!

Most Penis Enlargement Pills contain a mixture of different herbs that increase the blood flow in your body and your penis. Many manufacturers claim that their product is approved by doctors and absolutely safe and effective. The testimonials you find on their websites often only show a few questionable and exceptional results after using the product, that aren’t really verifiable.
There are no solid scientific or clinical studies about these pills, despite the claims of some doctors obviously hired by penis enlargement pill manufacturers. Most of the ingredients used will without a doubt help you get slightly stronger erections, but similar to the pumps this is only a short-term effect and no real enlargement.
Most ingredients used in penis pills are very cheap and also contained in every day vitamin pills or health supplements.
Some pills even contain ingredients like Yohimbine extract, an ingredient the FDA (Federal Drug Administration) explicitly made warnings about!
The bigger penis pills can be a good and easy solution if you are suffering from relatively weak erections that don’t last long, but do not expect miracles and always pay attention to possible side effects and contained substances. They are not a replacement for Viagra, Cialis or similar prescription drugs that are used to fight erectile dysfunction and can have adverse effects and side effects, as well as problematic interactions with other drugs. Make sure the pills are manufactured inside the USA, preferably in FDA approved laboratories, since the quality of the ingredients is important and inferior Chinese products sold on sometimes really good-looking websites are notorious for contamination with heavy metal or other dangerous substances.
Do not order pills from stores or websites offering free samples or recurring billing, since long-term contracts with a manufacturer mean you have to buy a product and pay for it even if you are not happy with it. Recurring billing from some shady websites is hard to cancel.
Bottom line: You will spend enormous sums of money on a bigger penis product that may result in slightly harder erections, but no real penis growth. Although the ingredients are extremely cheap, manufacturers and distributors charge a fortune for the final product, often combined with fraudulent credit card rebilling. Some ingredients could cause allergies or even worse health problems.

2024.05.17 14:12 Rain666 Question about Registered Small Package AIR

So, on buyee's site says that the registered small package (AIR) has tracking available but also says "When Buyee ships, we automatically apply a 460 yen fee to add a tracking number to the shipment."
I'm trying to make the shipping payment and my total is 1150 yen, there's no 460 yen fee writen there, so my question is if it's already included in the total?
Bonus question if you can answer, I'm trying to make the shipping payment on my phone and neither paypal or card are working, I doesn't even let me put my details, I just get an error, is it because I'm on a phone? When I payed for my item I was able to do it on my phone without any problem (At this moment I don't have a working computer at home to try, cries)

2024.05.17 14:06 nt96 Play turns 25. How Moby became an odd overnight sensation

Moby has always been a mainstay in house music and electronica in general. And on May 17th, 1999, he released his fifth studio album Play to critical and commercial success, becoming a rare phenomenon in the dance world.

…..but not in the way you would expect. You see, not even Moby thought he would make an impact, and originally intended to retire after that. So what makes his success story so unique? And how did this album become the best selling electronica album of all time? Let’s take a deep dive!

A quick recap into his early career

Throughout the 80s, Moby was involved in multiple underground punk rock bands. At the tail end of the decade, he shifted his interests towards the then-burgeoning electronic music scene, moving to New York City and taking up producing, remixing and DJ-ing as a result. By 1991, his single “Go” became an instant success and propelled him into stardom. For the next few years, he scored multiple dance hits (including a remix of the James Bond theme).

It was in 1996 when he released his album Animal Rights where everything went wrong. His sudden shift to punk and metal inspired music alienated much of his fan base and proved to be a critical and commercial failure, leaving him in a bit of a disarray. By this point, much of his audience began to cast doubts as to who Moby was as an artist, and while he asserted that the stylistic change was only temporary, it didn’t stop them from leaving his side. His own touring was disastrous, and him opening for alt-rock band Soundgarden was met with boos and jeers, prompting him on leaving music altogether. But thanks to artists like Bono, Axl Rose and Terence Trent D'Arby giving positive reactions to his Animal Rights album, he decided to stay a little while longer.

Background

Play's musical direction began around the time Moby's friend, Gregor Ehrlich loaned him a 1993 box set titled "Sounds of the South: A Musical Journey from the Georgia Sea Islands to the Mississippi Delta." by Alan Lomax. In it, a wide collection of folk music recorded throughout the 20th century.
Moby began to work on Play in August 1997, but touring obligations as well as unsatisfactory mixing sessions caused multiple delays. According to Moby's manager, Eric Härle had stated their original goal was to sell 250,000 copies, which was what Everything Is Wrong (1995), Moby's biggest-selling album at the time, had sold. Moby had doubts in achieving that, and many of the labels seemed to agree. Moby lost his outlet to released Play in the US following his removal from Elektra's roster of artists, leaving UK-based Mute Records as his sole label. Looking for US records to distribute was a struggle, with major label records like Warner Bros., Sony and RCA rejecting him. Even after V2 picked up the offer, most of the journalists passed on listening to the album. By March of 1999, two months before release, Moby began contemplating on his future and felt that maybe it's best to just throw in the towel and retire.

Play debuted at number 33 on the UK Albums Chart, but fell off shortly after. In addition, the radio and network airplay the songs received was very minimal. At this point, the goal was to simply get people to listen to the music; for that to happen, Moby and his management had to get really creative. While brainstorming, the team noticed a few agencies flocking to them for permission to use the music as soundbeds. That marked the moment a huge lightbulb went off on everybody's head; there's great potential in using licensing.
Licenses weren’t exactly lucrative but it was an alternate way of exposing listeners to the music rather than just radio. Management team was very diligent in looking for licenses, nevertheless, they took painstaking care of which requests were more appropriate for certain songs. Eventually they succeeded in getting every track on the album licensed, with "7" being the last track to do so.

Singles

Play's rollout consisted of eight singles. I've listed the samples used as well as where the songs are heard. While I listed as many licenses as I could, I tried to keep it within a 5 year timeframe. Forgive me as I know I missed a few but it's tough to find older, obscure commercials.

Honey
After discovering an a cappella song from Lomax's box set, Moby wrote this song in about 10 minutes. The song had minimal radio airplay but still managed to chart in several places including the UK Singles Chart (#33) and Billboard's Dance/Electronic Singles Sales (#95). A remix was later released featuring American R&B artist, Kelis.
Licensed: Permanent Midnight (1998), The 13th Warrior (1999), Maxwell Coffee (1999), Holes (2003),
Samples: Bessie Jones - Sometimes (1960)

Run On
This was one the first Play tracks Moby made. Due to the amount of samples, putting this song together proved to be a major challenge. Sampling the original folk song "God's Gonna Cut You Down" by Bill Landford and the Landfordaires, Moby didn’t know about the song's popularity until after recording it. It’s been covered by many artists including Elvis, Bobbie Gentry and Johnny Cash.
Licensed: Renault Kangoo (199x), Harsh Realm (1999), Mercy Streets (2000), Osmosis Jones (2001),
Samples: Bill Landford and The Landfordaires - Run On For A Long Time (1949), Melvin Bliss - Synthetic Substitution (1973)

Bodyrock
Fun fact: Both of Moby's managers tried to convince him not to include the song on the album, as they thought it sounded too similar to a Fatboy Slim, but he insisted on keeping it as he liked the song for its sample.
Licensed: Dawson's Creek (1998), Rolling Rock Beer (2000), Hype (2000), FIFA 2001 (2000), Buffy The Vampire Slayer (2001), Veronica's Closet theme (2003)
Samples: Spoonie Gee and The Treacherous Three - Love Rap (1980), Gang of Four - What We All Want (1981), Afrika Bambaataa and Soulsonic Force - Looking for the Perfect Beat (1983)

Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad
Moby originally wrote this back in 1992 as a techno song. Unsatisfied with the result, he never released it. Years later, he revisited the song, reproducing it with slower and more sorrowful tone, Eric Härle encouraged him to include it on the album. Kelis also provided vocals on a remix of this track.
Licensed: The Next Best Thing (2000), Millennium Mambo (2001), Lovely Rita (2001), Black Hawk Down trailer (2001), Associaçao Desportiva de Deficientes (2004)
Samples: The Banks Brothers and The Greater Harvest Back Home Choir - He'll Roll Your Burdens Away (1966), Delegate vs. Emo-Trance - Return to Tasmania (1998)

Natural Blues
Music video features Christina Ricci (famous for her Wednesday Addams role)
Licensed: Shadow Hours (2000), Freddy Got Fingered (2001), Joan Of Arcadia (2003), Basic (2003)
Samples: Vera Hall - Trouble So Hard (1937), Coke Escovedo - I Wouldn't Change a Thing (1976), The Banks Brothers and The Greater Harvest Back Home Choir - All the Way (1966)

Porcelain
A standout of the album, it's one of the only songs on the album that Moby sings on.
Licensed: The Beach (2000), Nordstrom 'Doorway' (2000), VW Polo 'Lunchtime' (2000), Bailey's Irish Cream (200x)
Samples: Ernest Gold - Fight for Survival (1961), Electra - Destiny (The Remix)(1989)

South Side
Initially recorded with No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani, production problems forced Moby to leave Stefani's vocals off the mix of the song included on the album; her vocals were later restored for the song's single release.
Licensed: I cant find any :(
Samples: The Counts - What's Up Front That Counts (1971)
Find My Baby
The final single (obviously)
Licensed: Any Given Sunday (1999), Charmed (2000), Nissan Almera II (2000), American Express 'Tiger Woods Plays Manhattan' (2000)
Samples: Boy Blue - Joe Lee's Rock (1960), Louis Bellson, Shelly Manne, Willie Bobo & Paul Humphrey - Super Mellow (1975)

As for the deep cuts (once again, I couldn’t find them all).

Rushing
Licensed: Weather Channel (2000s-2010s)
Samples: n/a

Machete
Licensed: Play It To The Bone (1999), Mission Hill 'Andy Joins The PTA.' (2002)
Samples: Tom Jones - Looking Out My Window (1968), Incredible Bongo Band - Apache (1973)

7
Licensed: unknown
Samples: n/a

Down Slow
Licensed: unknown
Samples: n/a

If Things Were Perfect
Licensed: unknown
Samples: Willie Hutch - Hospital Prelude of Love Theme (1974)

Everloving
Licensed: Requeum For a Dream trailer (2000), Thortons Chocolates ad (200x)
Samples: n/a

Inside
Licensed: Riding Giants (2004)
Samples: n/a

Guitar Flute & String
Licensed: unknown
Samples: n/a

The Sky Is Broken
Licensed: The X-Files 'All Things' (2000) (fun fact: Gillian Anderson hand-picked this song!)
Samples: Creedence Clearwater Revival - Long as I Can See the Light (1970), SMPTE Timecode - Audio Sample (1967)

My Weakness
Licensed: The X-Files 'Closure' (2000), Any Given Sunday (1999), Behind Enemy Lines (2001), The Salton Sea (2002)
Samples: Kanak - Danse Nyinewaco De Tiga (1990)

Conclusion

Play was the breakthrough album Moby needed to break into the mainstream, landing DJ gigs across the world before he even knew it. It was the first album to have all of its tracks licensed. The licensing approach was a resounding success that helped increase the album's visibility along with radio and MTV. In fact, it was so lucrative that the album was already considered a financial success before it even reached multi-platinum sales! Overall, Play's journey to being a cultural phenomenon was a slow but gradual one, with the album re-entering the top 100 charts and have many of its songs hit the charts across multiple countries. Before you knew it, the whole blues-meets-electronica was everywhere (even Adele cited this album as an influence on 25).

Using popular songs for commercial purposes is nothing new but with Play, many viewed this album as redefining the concept of "commercial". Not everybody was on board with this, many techno purists scoffed at his approach for success, seeing Moby as an ultimate sell-out, and his music being devalued as a result. Despite this, Moby remained steadfast in his decisions. Now, 25 years on, with a staggering 12 million sold worldwide, Play still remains the best selling electronica album of all time.

Questions

What was your experience with this album? Did you enjoy it?
Do you feel the push for licensing really changed the game? For better or for worse?
Do you feel this album has any cultural relevance beyond its commercial ubiquity? Why or why not?

2024.05.17 14:04 KonroMan Who are your top three favorite Robot Masters and why?

Who are your top three favorite Robot Masters and why?
My favorites are as follows for the following reasons:
1st: KGN - 006: Magic Man: His design is really slick lookin with the whole magician aesthetic, his stage is a really fun twist on Clown Man’s stage, his boss fight is really cool with the different attack patterns, and finally his weapon, the Magic Card, is really versatile for getting health and weapon energy.
2nd: DSN - 005: Komuso Man: His design is really cool looking and mysterious, to the point that according to sketches of the character he wears a black cloth mask underneath his basket mask, not to mention his stage is the most stylized of the ones in R&F2, starting off in a forest before entering a building of sorts. His fight is also pretty varied with his attack patterns being more complex than the average R&F2 boss. His weapon for Mega Man is kinda eh, it’s pretty much just Break Dash from MMW5 but without needing to charge it, but with downside that you can’t move, but his weapon for Bass is quite literally game breaking because of it allowing him to pass through walls and become intangible. The main thing that brings him down is that unless you have beaten Dangan Man and gotten a vulcan weapon then his fight becomes a lot of waiting and also his midboss is literally just a larger version of an already existing enemy and is also very cumbersome to fight.
3rd: DWN - 061: Search Man: I like his weapon, I think having a literal split personality is a cool concept, and his stage is probably my favorite from MM8… that’s about it.
But what are your top three favorite Robot Masters? I’m curious to know what your thoughts are on each of them because I think the subject is really cool, fr fr. With that said, I hope you have a great day, and I’ll see you around, take care! :)
Side Note: If you thought I was going to include myself then [[EXTREMELY LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER]].

2024.05.17 14:02 PineapplePickle24 New mardu ephemerate brew

Hello all! I've been working on another brew and I really think I might be on to something here. I've wanted to do something with [[ephemerate]] for a long time but with BW turning into blade, there's only really jeskai. I recently found [[ardent elementalist]] which means I could ephemerate loop without blue which would make something different than jeskai possible. I initially tried boros, but where these decks excell is with the indestructible artifact lands and [[cleansing wildfire]], so much so that I saw a competitive boros deck that played 5 off color bridges just to run wildfire. That got me on the line of thinking that I could use that extra color basically for free since the bridges are so central to the core of the deck.
Now let me go over the deck itself, and some of the recent tweaks. It overall hasn't been tested much but I'm looking to do that more soon, and if anyone has these cards on MTGO and would be willing to try it, that'd be awesome.
You'll notice a strong foundation of white creatures for strands, the most recent of which is the 2 inspectors (different printings for the funny). I'm thinking the extra source of card draw is always welcome as late game I found I was lacking my card draw creatures sometimes. Plus they fill out the curve and are white. The exception to the white creatures rule is [[thorn of the black rose]] which I'm running instead of the white version because of deathtouch as a blocker. This is up in the air because having a white create as my emblem is very nice so I can protect the emblem with strands on that creature.
Dawnbringer is a star here, being the anti bogles/ponza, grave hate, and life gain for red. We're running one main and can bring in a full playset. This deck in general has most answers covered for any matchup, we have revoke existence for affinity/artifact lands, fumes and Hadar for sweepers, pyro for spell protection vs blue, our last cast down for biger creatures when bolt isn't good, and [[stonehorn digintary]] for combat based decks. Even main board, bolt/cast down/strands is REALLY good for answering most threats. They make it able to stall once we slam emblems, then the plan is to grind our way to victory with trap and bolt. There's a very good sense of inevitability with our ephemerate loop, plus our one of late to dinner making it able to get back our key pieces, like elementalist or paladin, and then it itself being able to be looped is phenomenal since it buys us more time with creatures and food. Finally, the wildfire is awesome for any lands that tap for more than one (familiars, bogles, ponza, fog, Tron) and can really slow down those decks. The worst matchup I think is ponza, especially post board. However it is totally winnable with our hate for their utopia sprawls and bolt for the elfs.
TLDR: Grindy mix of jeskai and BW ephemerate that wins with ephemerate loops and initiative with answers for most every deck.
Hope you like it! I'm quite happy with it and really think it has a ton of potential. Feel free to comment with suggestions or questions and I'll do my best!

2024.05.17 14:02 Responsible_Fig_7600 New player looking for deck to rank

Hi, i started playing yesterday, i made some solo to get back up with rules and cards and managed to get 10k gems. I would like to build a deck for pvp, i like decks who dont win by merely putting in big monsters and going face. Can you suggest me some deck who does some shenanigans, some miracle plays and wins by damaging not just with monsters? I’d like something meta ofc, i like having fun but not if im losing every match. If you can suggest me what packs should i open to get the cards for the deck it would be perfect, thank you!

2024.05.17 13:59 StatusRefrigerator76 My desk

My desk
Hello friends, just wanted to share a photo of my set up and decor, with close-ups and details.
Starting off is a photo of the desk as a whole. I took this one so you guys could see how I have it set up. Personally I’m not a fan of the mousepad and will be getting a new one soon, possibly a Great Wave off Kanagawa themed one. If anyone has any links or can point me to some nice Japanese themed mousepads I’d greatly appreciate it. There are quite a few gorgeous ones on Amazon but I’m not sure how nice they will look in person.
Apologies for the whole desk photo being in landscape mode, I have an iPhone 14 so not the best camera.
Starting off the close-ups, this gorgeous beauty needs no introduction: Clan Sakai Mask. I got this with the collectors edition in Australia, not sure if it was the same every where else. Not sure if you can tell but there are a couple dinks on the nose. This was because at the time of release, my ps4 was at my then fiancées house (now my wife), and she wasn’t really a fan of me having set it up in the living room 😅. So when I left I took it with me and as I was walking to my car, it slipped out of my hands and cracked when it hit the pavement. I was honestly heart broken but thank God it didn’t shatter, and I was able to super glue it back together. I just couldn’t really get rid of the damage unfortunately.
Next up is this really beautiful container, showing Mt. Fuji in autumn on one side, and spring on the other. I currently have it on the autumn side as it’s currently autumn in Australia 🍁. This was a gift from my farher in laws colleague, that just came back from a trip to Japan. Inside is a pouch of green tea leaves.
Item #3 is a post card (not sure if it’s just a souvenir or legit), which was also a gift from the FILs colleague. I love it and I’m obsessed with this art style, so if anyone knows what it’s called I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me 🙏🏼.
Finally at number #4, we have what is probably my most favorite piece (I say this with minimal confidence because I love all of them). This was hand painted by this Japanese artist that I seen at Darling Harbour in Sydney selling a whole bunch of her original pieces and reprints. She had a lot of anime characters, mainly ones from one piece. This samurai is what caught my eye though, like love at first sight. This is the original piece so there are no other copies of it. The cherry on top is she asked me if I wanted to add any writing, so I asked if she could add “strength” “honour” and either courage or bravery. The amazing thing was that she wasn’t even charging a set price, she was letting us customers choose how much we wanted to pay her, as she explained that she was just doing this as painting is her passion. So I paid her $150 for the samurai painting, and another $50 for a Roronoa Zora reprint of hers that I got for my cousin. I honestly feel like I didn’t pay her enough but that was all I could afford at the time. I did get her business card if anyone wants to check out her work, I’ll just need to find it.
I hope you guys enjoyed and please let me know what you think!
On a side note, does anyone else’s phone go super slow when making a reddit post this long?

2024.05.17 13:58 Kruelheart [Update] Gigabyte has the worst support

I posted this https://old.reddit.com/IndianGaming/comments/1c7vsq6/gigabyte_has_the_worst_support/ previously of my experience with Gigabyte Support.
TLDR: Support process sucks and their Quality check for BIOS sucks even more.
Now if you want to read the whole experience, see below:
Issue TLDR: PC crashes ~6 to ~7 out of 10 times when resuming from sleep.
I have an update to the story.
I received the card back during 1st week of May, issues were worse, sometimes I did not get any display and PC would stay black screen. Attempting to restart, display would be blank but keyboard numlock/capslock did respond.
Note that I did not have issues with 1060 which was my daily driver and 3070 I used for a day that I tested by putting it to sleep and resuming multiple times.
My seller was aware of this, shared them video of the issue and continued to argue the card was the issue. They tried to push from their side and Gigabyte did not agree, it was back and forth with them.
Upgraded to windows 11 same issues. Used ddu to update to latest nvidia driver. Same issue.
Meanwhile, I dual booted Nobara and issue was even worse. After sleep the PC display wont even turn on consistently (tried only 2 times though) and PC was laggy as hell.
Apparently, Gigabyte wanted them to test and showcase the issue and so I sent the card to my seller. They were no able to replicate (not sure what build they were using as they said similar)
I got my PC on Feb 27th or so and the card was experiencing issues within a few days (I reported issues to MS forums on 6th March after I was unable to fix it for 4 to 5 days). So either I was having issues or running my build without the card for 2 and a half months.
I finally gave up and fought with my seller to give the card back so I can sell it online. They gave me the card back.
As my whole build was Gigabyte I took my PC to the collection center with the card installed and told them to fix the issue or replace whatever part they see as the issue.
Issue was reproducible. And I was told, that even if the guy at Bangalore sends the GPU for replacement same process (test and Chennai) will be followed and replacement will be rejected if they cannot simulate in their setup. WOW!
I called a Gigabyte employee who had discussed this with me before and he instructed that it could be PSU or MB causing this and they began testing.
I asked them to put a spare 40 Series card they had to test. The issue was reproducible with another 4070 (not 4070 Super).
Finally realized that this could be an incompatibility issue(10 series or 30 series did not have issues) and tried the oldest firmware that Gigabyte had for the MB B650M DS3H rev1.3 and the issue was no longer reproducible.
I have the card with me for almost a week now and I dont have issues. Feels damn Good!
Hopefully no other soul has to go through the same after buying a product with hard earned money. Apparently the card is rated for around 100 reseats, not sure how many this card went through in 3 months.
Gigabyte Support if you just listened and ran the same build (with rev1.3 MB and firmware you would have seen the issue). When you try reproducing the problem to confirm or deny, use the whole damn build as you neglect any tshoot a customer does.
This was a pure miss on the Gigabyte BIOS QA part which led to me having such a frustrating / nightmare experience. Good thing is I found about their Support process through this. I dont think I will build another PC with any Gigabyte part.

2024.05.17 13:58 TeacherLucy I (22f) am becoming a jealous partner about my boyfriend (22m). How do I stop it?

A bit of context. My (22f) boyfriend (22m) and I got together at the end of 2022, and admittedly it wasn't a great start. This was two years ago and I have learned a lot since then so please don't judge me. He had just joined the hospitality job that I was working at at the time, and we became fast friends. It didn't take long for us to get quite close when I realised that he wasn't bringing his girlfriend up much in conversation. I would try to ask questions about her and he would just give short answers and quickly move on. Eventually, I confronted him about it and he told me that he had fallen out of love with her months ago, but because he had moved across the country for her he didn't have anywhere else to stay if they broke up. I offered my couch, mainly because I had just recently been in a situation where I couldn't leave an abusive relationship for months because of housing issues so I empathised a lot. After he decided that he was going to break up with her, our friendship took a bit of a turn and things became a bit flirty. Please don't hate me for this, I regret it a lot and I feel so horrible for his girlfriend at the time. Anyway, it was all very subtle flirting and at one point I set boundaries about what we were saying because he was still in a relationship and I was uncomfortable with where it was going. He would occasionally push those boundaries, and at one point he said that he hated how much of a 'good person' I was because he wanted to say so much more.
Anyway, we kept those boundaries up until one day he messaged me and asked if I was able to help him move his stuff that night because he was going to break up with his girlfriend. From what I know, he spent all day packing and she came home to boxes and him sitting on the bed waiting for her. They've talked about it since and he regrets how callous this breakup was. Anyway, I swung by, he loaded his stuff into my car, and we left.
He stayed at mine for a bit and spent about two weeks crashing at other people's places before I just offered my place up indefinitely. By that point, he was not sleeping on the couch. We weren't officially together until about two months later but we definitely moved very quickly all things considered.
Anyway, it's been about two years since then. We've lived together the entire time and have both learned a lot about relationships - though we definitely still have room to grow. Overall, we are both very happy and we're in a pretty good spot.
Now some other context, my partner has always had mostly female friends. In most pictures that I've seen of him as a kid he is in a group of girls, and he himself is not extremely masculine by his own admission. However, also by his own admission, he has a flirty personality, and he makes flirty jokes to both men and women. He also struggles to make friends a little bit, so he tends to cling to the ones that he has. Keep these things in mind moving forward.
My feelings of insecurity or jealousy started around mid-last year when he showed me that he had swiped up on a female friend's risky Instagram story of her in lingerie with some sort of flirty joke. It made me feel super icky but I didn't know what to do so I just smiled and said nothing. Then, in October at a Halloween party, we were pairing off for beer pong and he immediately turned to and partnered with that same girl when I was sitting right next to him and turned straight to him. That broke my heart a bit. He went out one-on-one with a female coworker to a cocktail bar after work for drinks, where they both got drunk but she got absolutely wasted so he walked her home. He was also mostly MIA on messages through this event. He's also told me some flirty jokes that he's made to his female coworkers that just give me the ick a bit. All of these situations we've had conversations about and mostly resolved, but I think it's informing the way that I feel now.
Here is my problem. We have a really great relationship and I can see myself spending the rest of my life with him, but I can't shake this feeling of insecurity and jealousy which I can't help but feel like is because of the way that we got together. I can also admit that I am a fairly insecure person and I have pretty low self-confidence which I'm sure is absolutely having an impact on this. It's to a point now where every time he goes out for coffee with a female friend or even just to work I get a twisting feeling in my tummy, and I've had a strong urge to go through his messages. To be completely clear, though, I have not touched his phone or messages, and I have not given him any indication that I am feeling insecure about him just going to work or anything like that. This isn't the kind of person that I am and I feel horrific that I am becoming so jealous.
He has always had female friends, so it is absolutely off the cards for that to just be a boundary, and we've talked about his flirty personality before but it's a hard thing to define and set boundaries around. I genuinely don't think that he is cheating as I don't really think he would have the time, plus our relationship is going well. I'm hoping for genuine advice about either how to approach this or how to check myself. I'd rather not hear "just break up with him".
Thank you for reading!

Learn Boundaries for Free for Three Months
I am always trying some kind of self-help resource to speed along my healing journey, but usually end up wasting my time. However, this is exactly what I have been needing for quite some time.
I struggle with boundaries, bc I wasn’t raised with any. I am now a people pleaser, who genuinely wants to help others, but I usually end up being used. I learned that people who don’t have boundaries tend to get used and abused more than people with healthy boundaries.
I did the 14 day free trial, which didn’t require a credit card. I have found this information so helpful and have already started seeing progress. I decided to purchase the subscription, but found a link where you can get three months for free.

What others are saying about Boundaries.Me: "Before Boundaries.Me, it was like drinking muddy water. Sure, I got water, but there was other stuff in my life that I felt kept me from ever being able to drink good refreshing water. Boundaries.me teaches me that I can have a filter for the water of life that I drink. The online content and community provide a safe place where my filter is fortified and refined because I am able to gain perspective and insight to the particles of mud that are still in my water and what needs to be adjusted to keep the bad out and let the good through."
