So, I really liked the series, at least until 2-3 episodes from the end. In the first half, I loved the style, the slow images, the black and white, the tension and suspense of a film noir, and the composition of the images in terms of objects and subjects. I liked that the series, for the first time or at least in rare cases, had actors speaking in English if they were American, otherwise all in Italian since it is set there, but with some devices where, for example, some Italians speak fluent English. In short, I was loving it, but by the last episode, I couldn't stand it much anymore and it saddens me because it's a series with style. I believe that some narrative problems already seen in the early episodes, as the episodes went on, grew considerably, leading to a rushed finale with many small lines opened and closed hastily and with several errors.
For example (I'm not going in order, but as they come to mind):
Marge: I just don't get her. She seems extremely in love with Dickie, but in the end, she starts flirting with Tom (completely unnecessary) and becomes stupid in her behavior. You'd expect her to have doubts (she was warned, she didn't get along with him) and to play a double game to understand who Tom was, but instead, she was genuinely infatuated with Tom and completely forgot about Dickie. I really don't understand this huge change in personality.
Dickie and Tom: Why did Dickie, if he wanted to get rid of Tom, take him alone in the middle of the sea on a boat 1500 km away? Did he want to get himself killed? You don't trust someone and you go together to an isolated place, without a reason?
The detective: He's a character I love, well-realized and wonderfully portrayed by the actor. Serious, intelligent, shrewd, and likable. Then he gets to the last episode and even he loses depth. An intelligent detective, who looks at details, who notices everything and makes appropriate conjectures and connections: he didn't want to personally verify Tom's passport, he never requested an investigation of his apartment (being a suspect) of Tom or Dickie, and on top of that, he goes all the way to Venice, sees Tom in person and doesn't question the fact that this man uses a wig, has the same voice as Tom and the same features as if he were his brother (light or no light, he shook his hand five centimeters from his face)? None of this makes sense. Moreover, he was looking for him so much, they gave him false leads, saying he was in Rome, he checked all the hotels, and when he meets him he doesn't solve the case by asking him in which hotel he had stayed after looking for him so much? Verify, don't find him, know he is lying. Instead, no. Then, why does he believe the boat story when the boat keeper had filed a report the same day? And what explanation does he give to a boat with blood and full of rocks that had been stolen?
Why does Tom buy six train tickets when he returns from Palermo?
The private detective arrives in grand style from America, already knows him, knows he is a scammer who changes identity, and when he talks to him believes everything Tom says, but what did he also get hit on the head?
In the last episode, all tension is lost, every scene that should make us jump out of our seats leads nowhere but to a dead end and a scene that is overcooked.
John Malkovich: Where did he come from? Casually in the last 20 minutes of the series, he goes to a dinner and he is also the stranger who always changes identity. What, two playmates found each other there by chance and without ever talking about it, they understand each other about what they do for a living?
In the entire series, no one ever saw a photo of Dickie? Even when they were on the table and at home?
The bank makes all that fuss from America for a false signature, then someone writes a letter and they believe it immediately.

The Camorra guy: He's there for two episodes, he's interesting, mysterious, and scary, and then he lets Tom walk all over him in three seconds and his only job in the series was to sell a boat? And the secret deliveries? And the art pieces?
Dickie's family: They come from America and for the English boy Miles, no one comes, this young man doesn't even interest his parents.

Also, excuse me, but here in Italy if someone makes all that noise on the stairs every three minutes, whether it's four in the afternoon, midnight, or three in the morning, you go there and look or call someone. He went back and forth (why didn't he take off his shoes for the noise of the heels?), elevator, doors, not even the lady of the building came out.
Moreover, the biggest of all: how long is the night of the murder and how does Tom go from the historic center of Rome to the Via Appia all those times back and forth if: the distance by car is about 30 minutes and on foot it is a good 1 hour and 30 minutes?
In short, I think this is a bit of everything that makes me frown and that, in my opinion, narratively creates a real imbalance and makes no sense. Moreover, the ending is really banal: wouldn't it have been better to catch him? Who really deserves a spin-off is the detective. I'm posting it here since many asked to inform the wife and I want to as well. But I want to protect myself from any harm that he might cause to me.
I had met a man, initial letter N (31M) through reddit some 4-5 months back. He commented on my post that he had a few materials for a competitive exam that I was giving. I DMed him asking the same and moved to telegram to share the same files.
There was an instant connection and we started talking. On the first day itself I had asked him if he had a gf or wife. He said no and so we continued talking. After 1 month, he went to his hometown during his leaves and communication was infrequent. He wouldn't talk when he was home, disappeared during the long weekend completely, etc. I couldn't understand if he was just uninterested or was dating someone else.
I tried talking with him about this, a couple of times, he just shut down saying he was going through a lot etc. But then suddenly he flipped and started talking like before. He even came to met me in my city. He even asked me what does he see in next 2 - 3 years for us. And he was talking in long term right from the starting.
I asked him multiple times to tell me if there's someone else. He gaslighted me each time. Told me I'm overthinking etc. But still we had very less communication and I was fed up of it and anxious all the time. So I too stopped putting in the efforts. One day he posted status of link to his mother's youtube channel. My instincts were screaming by then. So I stalked the account, came across one name. Somehow I found her account on instagram but it was private, she had a small business too in which the contact number for queries given was his. And of course she wasn't his sister, because the surname in bio was different. I also found her sister's instagram which is an open account. I saw their wedding video. He's been married for 3 years and dating her since almost 2017 (I guess).
I confronted him, he left the msgs on seen. I had to threaten him to just agree. Even then he tried to be the victim. After that I blocked him from everywhere. This was almost 20 days back but somehow the girl keeps coming in my mind. I'm really confused if I should msg her and tell her everything. I have screenshots and all the proof. He cheated on her emotionally and physically.
And I'm sure I'm not the only girl he was talking to. There might be other girls too from reddit itself. If any of you think you are talking to a guy I described, dm me the reddit ID or name of the person and I'll tell you. Should I tell his wife? If so how without causing any damage to me?
I honestly don't care if she stays or leaves him. My only concern is if she should know and how can I do that without him causing any harm to me? I do have her insta ID and I know he's home on leaves right now, so it's best chance for her to catch him red handed. They are in a long distance marriage currently due to their jobs.

Have seen a lot of posts about “you might not know this if you’re new” Here is one I wanna share: If you go into your map and press whatever button normally opens your daily and weekly tasks, you will notice there are other tabs. One of these tabs (social) has you use photomode to take a certain number of pictures in a region. All of these tasks can be done in a single spot in each region (except the forest one that has different locations you need to take the picture in). But yeah, just go to the region you are trying to get atom points for, open photomode (go to map and hit whatever button it says to hit for photomode) then take 20 pictures in the same spot. You will get free Atom points that you can spend in the atom shop. Quick & easy early boost to your atom points that you may not know is there. (If you want to do the forest one, just select the forest photomode task and it will show all the locations you need. Each photo taken in a particular forest region location counts as one picture and there are more locations than you need to complete the challenge.) Photomode is different than taking a camera picture of something. That requires you to find a broken pro snap camera, taking it to a tinkerers’ bench and making a prosnap camera, making film, and then equipping it from your weapons tab. Another note on camera picture requirements: Things that you need to take a camera picture of can be dead and still count. So a pile of dead animals in a taxidermy shop count as long as it says the target’s name on the display when you are “aiming”& if you need to take a picture of something big and scary, you can kill it first(or let someone else do it for you), then take the picture of its corpse. I've got this script to create dynamic groups built on a set start then a groupname followed by country and city All that works but since the amount of jobtitle differ from 1-7 per groupname I wanted the script to only create the dynamic rule containg the jobtitle cell with data and if the cell is empty skip it when building the $jobtitleQuery for the $groupquery later used to create the dnyamic group.
Any ideas and thoughts are welcome! Probably missed something as I'm fairly new to this.

This is a pattern of behavior, as they admitted to doing this to their former partner to “protect themselves.” In addition, a major reason why I finally walked away was realizing that they are a groomer and have many “friendships” with girls as young as 12 years old. I think if someone got access to this person’s Telegram, WhatsApp, and Google Drive, they would find a lot of horrible stuff.

The post/mail is one of the most insecure communication methods available. Not only does our postman often deliver letters to the wrong house, meaning anyone can open them, there often isn’t a way to know if a letter has been sent to you and intercepted by a malicious person. Further, for people in shared houses, anyone in the house can open letters addressed to other people.
This means anyone can steal your identity if your full name, address, and date of birth is on a letter.
With this in mind, my pension provider keeps sending me post with my full name, address, and date of birth on it, even though I’ve selected the Paperless Communication option on their app. I phoned them and asked them if there’s an option on their system to make it clear I don’t want any post, and they said some of the post they send is a legal requirement.
Considering that, I’m wondering if I have a case to sue the government or the pension provider (or both) and try to ensure the law is changed to no longer put us at risk of identity theft.
There is absolutely no need for this to be a mandatory thing. If people want letters for things, they should be able to opt in to them, but we should all have a right to data security.
An example: I changed my pension fund. I did not need a confirmation of this because the confirmation is obvious by me checking my fund on the app. Yet my pension provider still sent me a letter with my full name, address, and date of birth on it. Why would my date of birth need to be on a letter that merely confirms a change of pension fund? This is scandalous. Surely I should be able to sue my pension provider for being careless with my data and harming my data security? My neighbour has been getting some of my post and I’ve been getting his. I don’t trust or even know him. Pension providers and other organisations should consider post to not be a secure communication method.
Any advice would be much appreciated. I’m based in England.

Of course passwords should be hashed but what else should be hashed or encrypted ? Shouldn't I expect my database to be stolen at one point to forcing myself to apply a high level caution ? I was wondering if encrypting first name and last name of users, then decrypting using PHP to display could be useful? Of course if both the database and source code are stolen it would be critical but if I only loose the database, nothing would be readable for stealers.
What do you think about it ? What are the standards ?

Workbook.OpenText truncates decimal places
Hi guys, I'm trying to write a macro to perform a very simple task: open a bunch of text files and copy the first sheet of each into the active workbook.
This is the code I have (ignore the .xls filter, it's only in place to work around a quirk of the ERP system that produced the text files, which saves them with that extension):

The data files consist of tab separated values. Values are both numerical and textual.
The code I have works as intended, except all numerical values with decimal places get rounded to the closest whole number.
I don't know why this is happening. I have tried tinkering with OpenText's parameters, to no avail. I have also tried manually converting the text files to proper spreadsheets and using Workbooks.Open(). The same issue occurs (although the values displayed properly when I manually opened the text files in Excel).
What could be the problem here? I am running Excel 2019 on Windows 11.

For 16 years my mil an oldest sil have been awful, after dealing with it for so long I developed ptsd from their treatment. I been NC since April and it is absolutely wonderful, I juss wanna talk about some of the things they've done.
After the birth of my first daughter mil an fil were telling bf to not sign the birth certificate, and the nurses were giving me such a hard time for him to sign the paperwork. So when he came to the hospital after work I told him they wanted him to sign the papers he was refusing to go get them from the desk an I just had a c section, so I got mad and walked down there and got the stuff from them an took it back to him he did sign but mil an fil were not happy... it has always been difficult with husband until recently believing me about how awful his mother is to me he didn't wanna deal with any of it an basically wanted me to take their torture which the end result was my mental health, makes me really upset cuz I could of been smarter and just left an maybe today I would be able to go into a large crowd of people without feeling scared an panicking. I can barely go into stores now. But anyway....
Bf was giving me money to help buy baby stuff it was 100 every week, he was also giving mil 400 a week. Mil an sil cornered me and threw a fit about he was giving me to much money. Which i find funny bc he was literally giving her a lot of money, I was also on government assistance for like 3 months an she said bf was entitled to half of that money.
Mil put her electric in bfs name (he still lived there) she let the bill go up to over 2000 dollars and didn't pay it off till he gave her problems cuz they were sayin his wages were gonna be attached, we had juss gotten our first apartment when they threatened to attach his wages. She lied to him about paying it she did some but not all and he still gets letters about that bill.
During the first couple weeks at our new apartment mil would bring a plate of food for just bf an would give me dirty looks while he was eating it 🤣

Sometimes on the weekends we would drink beers an have people over, sometimes sil would come over and few times she'd bring her friend and their mutual friend would come now I knew right away they did this on purpose and it was absolutely intentional they had this girl flirt with husband I over heard this girl say something about how her crotch would get so wet and I went off it caused a big fight and when I told that girl we were married she acted shocked an left immediately never saw her again.

This one is the beginning of the end my father passed away and a month after was my youngest bday husband was outside cookin on the grill and mil and fil came in an mil starting making jokes about funerals even fil told her thats fked up. My mom went home later in tears. A few months later after that we learned fil had the same cancer my dad passed of.
Youngest sil overdosed 2 years ago and is bedridden now and mil takes care of her and her 3 kids 2 months before that happened we were all sitting at my kitchen table and mil told everyone idc what kind of drugs you do just don't get caught with them... I thought wow this is insane shit.
In February of this year I had gotten a fb message from someone idk and they were sayin all these things that would definitely make me break up with husband, in the messages they had given their self away sayin only things mil would of known. There was a huge argument and mil ended up writing husband f you and your family. Then all of a sudden sils friend gets a job at husband's shop an works with him... husband an I sat down and were talkin about how that whole thing was a big plan to get us to break up and sils friend to weasel her way into husband's life.
There has been so much more but those r the things that stay vividly in my mind. After the whole fb thing I was done an the last time mil popped up at our home an i had a panic attack she was told to not come here anymore of course she knows nothing and has done nothing wrong 🙄 an is currently telling people she doesn't know what's going on... she has to tell people that so she doesn't look like the bad guy cuz she has talked so much trash about me to everyone that they would know. She even sent her nephew to tell husband to call his mom 🙄 he never did... he texted her happy mother's day and she said to tell me the same from her I'm at the point I don't want to hear from her, don't wanna hear her name, I wanna forget what she looks like.
I forgot to mention they were all on m3th an that just amplified their stupidness which is probably why they thought that fb idea was the plan to finally get husband an I apart 😆 oldest sil is really bad on that stuff now an her life is Fallin apart everyone says she is goin down the same path as youngest sil but all they do is watch and talk about it.
