im currently preparing for jee advanced which happens on may 26th. after that im basically jobless for another 3 months atleast. this may sounds fun to most of you, but here’s the catch. It was night around 10. There was a motel in an abandoned area. Hey everyone,
I need some advice because I have not been able to quit caffeine even after years of trying. The problem is, my sleep is screwed up from a combo of having kids and my caffeine use. I have been trapped in a cycle of wake up at 2:30 or 3:30 am because of either caffeine or eating too much because I am tired from waking up early the previous day. And I relapse every attempt because i am just trying to fulfill my duties as and employee and a father.
Before I had my first kid, I was caffeine free for almost 2 months. I had weaned down over a few years from 1,500mg. Then I slipped after I started not sleeping to force my mind and body to get through the day. I went 6 years without any weed and I only drank 1 single drink of alcohol every 3-6 months. I currently consume betwwen 375-425mg of caffeine per day.
A couple months ago I started drinking a glass of whiskey or two every single night. And even started eating weed edibles. This made my problems worse so i decided to wean off the whiskey and weed and am currently at 7 days no alcohol and no weed.
I run daily, eat pretty healthy during the day until around dinner time, I'm not obese. Maybe around 20-25% bodyfat. Around 195lbs. I drink plenty of water. Journal. Meditate occasionally. 9 days without porn or masturbaion. I'm trying to stack the deck in my favor in as many ways as I can.
When i wake up too early, it's usually a combo of my brain starting to wake, and my body is a little uncomfortable because I have to poop. So i wake up. And go straight for caffeine to help me poop. And drink 16 ounces of water. Then I journal, make my wife her single cup of coffee for the day, (She refuses to admit that coffee is even a problem for her, maybe it's not I dunno).
I guess I just need some kind of support community or advice. No one in real life would ever admit caffeine is a problem for them. Literally every single person I know just accepts it as a part of life. I know better. I've read multiple books about quitting caffeine and drug addiction.
I have been a serial taperer with no serious commitment to quit. Tapering has helped my keep my intake somewhat in check but it always leads to relapse. Maybe I need to cold turkey it but I would probably have to take a week off work but then I still have kid duties so I dunno.

Maybe let’s not start with egregious. Let’s start with something simple! Here’s something that’s reasonably common:

1. Pay people to buy your product (or like give them huge discounts or whatever). Inflate your revenue. Lie about your actual customers.
2. Hype your company up. Do an IPO, take your company public. Sell some of your own stock.
3. Slowly try fixing your numbers. If you happen to succeed, that’s great! You win. If you don’t succeed, you still win? You’ve done your IPO and sold some stock. That’s a lot of money.

This is the simple kind of fraud, which also makes it difficult to identify. You might have to talk to the company’s customers, read the fine print in its disclosures, do sanity checks of its financials, that sort of stuff. It’s tough to catch the simple kind of fraud, which is also why so much of it exists in the form of whispers and rumours without ever getting proven.
Now let’s go egregious:

1. Why pay people to buy your product? Hell, why even have a product? Just manifest in your imagination that there are hundreds of thousands of people buying whatever you’re selling and write it down.
2. Hype your company up! Do an IPO, sell some stock. This part remains the same.
3. Don’t bother fixing your numbers. Instead, keep publishing imaginary revenue figures. Keep selling stock to public investors. Publish your financials every quarter with whatever numbers you like.

If you do this, there’s only so far you can go. Eventually, your hype will attract attention and someone might figure out that both your customers and product were creative imagination.
Here’s a SEBI order from late in April about Manpasand Beverages. Manpasand used to be a beverages company based in Gujarat. In 2019 the company shut down because it got caught in a bunch of frauds. Fake it till you make it (or don’t)

Manpasand faked its revenue (of course). It also faked its expenses, customers, vendors, tax liabilities, etc. How did it get away with doing this stuff? I don’t know, someone’s gotta ask Deloitte. They were Manpasand’s auditor for eight years, resigning only in 2018. The company’s fraud came out officially in 2019—Deloitte, whose job was to make sure the books were right and also had access to all the inside information, figured that something was off only a year earlier!
Anyway, SEBI appointed its own auditor to figure out what was wrong with Manpasand’s accounts and the auditor came back with a bunch of stuff. [2]

30f Pregnant Smoker
Doctors are innacurately classifying my current and previous baby as SGA and I don't know what to do about it, it's affecting my appointments and it disqualified me from MLU and it's going to affect any future pregnancies.
I'm 35 weeks and my baby isn't underweight or small, they are saying she's SGA, under 10th centile, for no reason. For reference my previous kids (10 years ago) were 3.4kg (12th centile) and 3.3kg (7th centile) and it's very very innacurate, 3.3kg is absolutely normal and should in no way be under the 10th centile?!
Any research I do on this shows that both my previous children should've been over the 20th centile.
I'm looking at my current centile growth chart and the expected 50th centile at 40 weeks is 4.1kg, that's not normal and way too big of an expectation for me?! And 3.5kg is barely over the 10th centile. History clearly shows that my kids are under 3.5 and that's normal for ME, why do they expect me to have a huge baby?
Also I'm a smoker and I feel like I'm added to the statistic of "smoker = low birth weight" even tho there was absolutely nothing wrong with my kids birth weights
I'm also worried because I read that SGA babies nowadays tend to be induced at 37 weeks, and i don't want to be induced for no reason, especially when I don't trust doctors judgements (induction hasn't been mentioned to me yet, I'll see if they say anything at next week's appointment)

I wanted to share an exciting project I've been working on for the past couple of weeks. I've been developing a custom AI to assist with my tabletop game world, which I've been building for close to 10 years. This world is incredibly vast and complex, and I often lose track of how everything connects or need some inspiration that's relevant to my setting.
I've been exploring AI development over the past year, specifically using the tools offered by OpenAI. I had the idea to create a custom GPT that acts as a historian from my setting. The AI provides ideas and inspiration based on my world and allows my players to explore the lore without overwhelming me or me overwhelming them. The project has been going really well, so I wanted to share how I went about it.
Creating the Custom GPT

1. Using OpenAI's Custom GPTs: The main task was to train the AI with my world-building notes. I use OneNote for my notes, and my notebook has around 500 some odd pages last time I checked.
2. Preparing the Notes: I created a copy of my notebook and removed pages that I didn't want my players to see or find out about through the GPT. I also cleaned up unfinished or contradictory areas.
3. Exporting Notes: Finally, I exported the notebook as a PDF and added it to the custom GPT's knowledge base.

Overall, I've been very happy with the results. Having a custom GPT as a historian for my world has been a game-changer. It helps keep everything consistent, provides quick answers that are based in the world, and offers relevant inspiration based on the history and lore I've built. However, it is not to accurate when it comes to dates, but that may just be for my setting in particular.
There are a few additional features I plan to add to make it even more useful during game sessions:

1. Economics and Pricing: Train the GPT on more data about economics and pricing to help me figure out the cost of goods on the fly during a session.
2. Rules Integration: Give it a solid grasp of the D&D rules I use so it can create magic items, spells, etc.
3. Inspiration: Enhance its ability to generate world-accurate storylines, side quests, characters, etc.
4. Travel Distance and Time Calculation: This one might be challenging to implement, but my goal is to eventually teach the GPT to read maps or use a database of reference points along with their distances and locations. This would allow it to calculate travel times between locations on the fly. This feature would be incredibly useful, as my games often involve long-distance travel across the vast world of Novistar.

1. At King David's granting of her request, Bathsheba bows down and says, “Let my lord King David live forever!” Why did people say this to kings? Especially when it is plain here in the case of granting his successor, that King David will not live forever?

2.) Peter Pan starts by saying We're Lost Boys'. And yes, I know that's how the gang is called and that Wendy is also part of the Lost Boys but it's still an interesting choice
3.) The whole song Best Man can be read like she is calling herself the Best Man

TL;DR : how people can easily not follow up on infatuations?
I am 43M, married with 42F. With my wife everything is great, strong feelings, good communication and support etc etc. However, I am having, for the fist time in my life, a strong infatuation for another 45F. I am trying to understand how to deal with it, option 1 is that I cheat, option 2 is that I talk to my wife about it, option 3 is that I close any contact with the other woman.
I think I would go with option 2 in the end, but this is not the point here.
However, what I do not understand, is why option 3 is followed by so many people as I read about several stories ended up like this. I take myself as an example: I feel attracted by this woman, my impulse is of course to approach and contact her. Cheating is absolutely wrong, because I respect my wife. But forcing myself not to have any contact with her I consider the equivalent of cheating myself. Option 3 would not be respectful of myself, isn't it? How can people do it?

Hello ive been reading my tarot farely well but only do 3 card spreads (Past, Present, Future) can you guys recommend any spreads especially for more cards?

I actively wait until I can't advance in the story without doing the robbery mission with him because I can't stand him at camp.
It's like dr. Smith in lost in space. You want characters to be hated but not to where the viewer is contemplating no longer playing or watching.
You want Floyd Mayweather hate. People hated him but watched his fights to see him lose.
Micah doesn't have that. At least for me. I think they went overboard with him
His character makes literally no sense. For one he's barley in any missions until never hallow. So you can't even say Dutch let's him stay because he's benefitting the gang. He does nothing. Didn't even help rescue Jack at the Braithwaites or stormed the Italian guys mansion. What does he even do?
He physically assaulted swandon (I think or he just spat on him). He implies he wants to kill Hosea and hopes he dies soon (does Hosea have no power in the gang or something?😂). Says he'd kill uncle. Dutch acknowledged that Micah tried to manipulate him into telling him where the black water money is and Dutch just brushed it off. After gurama I understand why Dutch keeps him around. But even if you let Micah come back to camp as soon as possible he does nothing until the shoot out in roads. I can't think of a single mission Micah does from the stagecoach one and to the Rhoads shootout where Sean dies. He doesn't contribute to the gang (sure his name appears in the ledger but he's not in the story). He's just tormenting people around camp and Dutch is in love with him or something.
You'd think Hosea, Arthur, Susan, 3 of the original 4 would go to Dutch. I would have loved to see a scene like that. And sure it's childish to go run to dad when you're being bullied. But Micah is threatening people, wishing death on them. What he does to Swanson where Susan come to his rescue you'd think she'd go to Dutch. But we never see it. Is there a single member of the gang that Micah doesn't harass besides Dutch and maybe Molly?
Rockstar over did it with him. And the fact we never seen anyone go to Dutch tells me they couldn't think of a way Dutch could justify micahs actions so they just don't have anyone go to Dutch.
But the fact that you can tell Dutch knew what micah was doing when he asked him to tell him where the money is and when Micah was being a major kiss ass. Dutch doesn't even seem to like micah in their interactions. He knows he's trying to manipulate him and he does nothing. If Micah was like Arthur and going on all these missions you can say he's a good gun. But he does nothinggggg for most of the game. All he does is stay at camp tormenting people.
In such an amazing game Micah is bad writing

In this psalm we see how many facts God knows about us, but that is only a small part because God has far more knowledge about us, but it is practically impossible to express it in words, and here we see that God knows when we sit down, when we stand up, what we do, how we work, he knows all our ways, all our words that we have spoken, he writes that he knows even our thoughts, we can further see that God knows the past, present and future, knows everything about us even before our birth, etc. This clearly indicates that we cannot do anything without God's knowledge, and this applies only to us humans, who are only a small part of God's omniscience.
Here are a few examples that are close to us from life, something that everyone can understand because not all people are scientists or academic citizens, there are far more "ordinary" people, especially throughout history, and the Bible is written in simple understandable language so that everyone can understand him.
And from this it is clearly seen and everyone can understand that God is omniscient.

Here, these verses confirm again that the Omniscient God had a practical lesson here, a friendly advice from God, and it applies to our life, it applies to what we do, how we do and what we say, because God knows everything he does to me, so if we persist, we refuse to live according to the will of God, it is our own fault and one day we will bear the consequences for it. Of course, God does not want to force us to do something, it is our choice, but it is great wisdom to listen to the advice that God gives us because God does not want us to perish so that all may live, and that is the meaning of the word "repentance" from 2 Peter.

In the Bible, we find through different time periods and different manifestations of God's omnipotence, so we will mention some.
We see from the Bible that Abraham was 99 years old, but that he had no offspring, and on one occasion God appeared to Abraham and said:

We further see that Avram was not really sure about that, so he thought that he would never have children with his wife Sarah

And here we can see God's omnipotence, because he told Abraham something that was not very clear to the human mind, but it was very clear to God, that's why he said it to Abraham. We later see from the Bible that this promise was fulfilled, and it was fulfilled because God is omnipotent because He possesses all the knowledge and then it is no problem to fulfill the given promise. This or a similar promise can only be given by God because he is omnipotent, and let's imagine that now we humans make a promise about something that will happen in the future. The next example is from John's revelation, where we have a scene in heaven where four living beings praise the Almighty God, and in order for someone to be omnipotent, he must possess the power that sustains everything, and such power is possessed only by the Almighty God.

Humans are very intelligent beings and practically they can create anything they want up to certain limits, but in creation we read that God used only a word and it was created, he did not need any material like we need to create something and there is another proof that God is almighty.

Here we see that God uses his almighty power for his glory to fulfill God's plan because what he intended must be and nothing but the will of God can change that plan.

First of all, this post is not for the general audience. So please refrain from commenting things like "But my Pixel works great," "Good that you moved away," or "Yeah, not reading all of that." This post is specifically for those who are interested in moving to a different phone because they have had issues with their Pixel. You can also consider this an AMA, and I'll try to resolve any doubts you may have.
I used the Pixel 7 Pro for over a year. It was my first flagship phone, so I was quite excited about it. It didn't take me long to realize that Google is not good at making flagship phones. I was facing issues that I never encountered even on mid-range phones:

1. Tensor chips run hot. Just swiping through the UI warmed the phone up, so imagine my misery during video calls, gaming, charging, etc. The phone will punish you if you use 5G.
2. Battery life: It's no secret that Pixel has terrible battery life. It's worse than mid-range phones and other flagship phones that I've tried.
3. My display died on me twice. Both times, I had to send my phone for repair, which took over 20 days each time.
4. Performance is not comparable to other phones in this price range.
5. Videos taken by this phone are pretty meh.

I will agree that it takes great still images. But here's my experience with the S24 Ultra:

1. None of the problems I've mentioned are happening with this phone.
2. As mentioned, Google takes better still images under certain circumstances. But I've installed GCam on this device, and I'm not missing out on anything.
3. Above all, the phone is a delight to use. It's snappier, has a better display, better build, better accessory support, etc.

I'm completely satisfied with my switch, and if you're also planning to do the same, you don't have to think twice.

I've been taking esomeprazole (nexium) for the past 2 weeks. For the first 10 days or so, the side effects were a nightmare (mostly terrible headaches and fatigue), but I was back to digesting food and, now that I'm on day 14, they've eased a bit. The problem is, I think I'm experiencing a depressive episode. I've read that some people experience anxiety attacks on nexium, but what about depressive episodes? What's the worst that could happen if I quit cold turkey? It would take me at least 3 days to contact my GI doctor and probably a week to see my GP. Not to mention, my GI doctor also prescribed me an IBS medication which has diazepam in it and I'm not taking it because there's no way I'm taking an anxiety med without a psychiatrist managing it, so he might refuse to help me given that I'm not taking everything that he prescribed. I don't think I can put up with a depressive episode for that long. I literally keep crying over everything. Anyways, fuck nexium.

I bought something online and the courier is qxpress. I only realised after purchasing that my address details were missing a unit number. So I immediately sent an email both to the shop and Qxpress to tell them about the error. There has been LITERALLY NO RESPONSE for days on end. While all this was happening the delivery status showed that it had three failed deliveries, the first to the general area of my house, the second to some radnom place I have no idea exists and the tracking system now says that my parcel is already delivered. To where?? I read that after 3 failed deliveries a charge will be incurred so i'm damn scared that they suddenly charge me a bomb out of the blue. Anyone else had similar issues before? Even the qxpress hotline has no one picking up (which i'm calling right now) and i'm at a complete loss of what to do. Any help would be much appreciated.
