I've been making a short list of a rival re-write, it's mainly for me lol, but I'm considering making it a game or series of videos whenever I'm old enough to afford that or learn those skills. The list shows their name, their canon elimination, and lines to introduce them (reminiscent of the rival introduction YandereDev made)!
Here's the list so far:
Rival 1: Amai Odayaka
Canon Elimination: Poisoning (may be changed later, as I plan the canon eliminations to slowly go from safer to violent)
Rival Introduction (normal): Oh, Taro, you're just in time! I made cookies. Your favorite is chocolate chip, right?
Rival Introduction (blushing): You know, it's not a coincidence that I've been making your favorite food ever day...you deserve it, you know?

A little back story, my sister is like a second mom to me. She always took care of me when I was younger, we had a little gap in our relationship once I reached my teenage years until I turned 22 I believe. She also helped me out a lot as an adult when I was doing bad, and helped with the kids, which I am very grateful for. I am doing 100% better financially and life wise thankfully and we grew very close. She comes over to my house daily and we chat. I love her very much. She is or was? My best friend.
On Friday, our mom had a gastric balloon inserted and the plan was that my sister will drive her to the hospital, and then she will drop mom off to stay with me and I will look after her for a week.
Unfortunately, or irresponsibly I kept postponing my oil change and drove 400 miles over and my plan was to get that done and a few other tasks on Friday before it was time to get kids from school and watch mom. Plans changed and my sister made an appointment on Friday at 10 AM and I had to go to the hospital and switch out with her. My mom and I left the hospital around 11:30 AM. I called my sister, asked her if she will be able to come keep mom’s company at 3, so I can get kids, change oil, and go get my bonus child “A” from an hour away. She told me no she cannot leave work, and I said ok. She asked me “why?” I answered and told her my to do list. She told me everything can be postponed till Saturday, and my husband can borrow her car and pick up “A” alone. I said “aww ok” she asked why do you wanna go anyways? I told her I enjoy it. She told me ok well u got a more important task which is take care of mom. I agreed and we hung up.
My mom overheard me mention my oil change. She said she was okay because of the strong meds and to go get it done because its bad for the car. I asked her are you sure? She accused me of gaslighting and that I am only watching her because she “blocked” all the excuses I had to not watch her by lending my husband her car for the long drive, and suggesting it can wait until Saturday. I said “that’s not what happened. You asked me why I was asking you to watch our mom.” (I thought I was talkin to a friend and told her whats on my mind..) Her “This is the first time I see a toxic trait from you!!” and kept interrupting me (the whole time yelling) “I’M NOT UR EFFIN HUSBAND I’M NOT GONNA GO IN CIRCLES WITH YOU. I’M ON MY WAY TO GET HER.” I said “ok I’ll see u” and we said bye then before hanging up she said in a disgusted tone “Gaslighting bich” I sent her the address and texted her that she was very mean.. She called me immediately yelling “You wanna fight?! I’ll fkin fight” and said many mean things yelling… I said “No. I’m not trying to” she kept going off and I repeated many Okay’s as I couldn’t let a sentence out.

Mother’s day comes up, she texts me abt a present at the door. She bought me a balloon and a teddy with flowers with a really sweet note. Mind you, I did not talk to her for almost two days. Ever since the trailer for SotE dropped and we got our first look at Messmer, coupled with the info that Miyazaki has provided in interviews since then, people have theorised that Messmer is the child of Marika ( confirmed ) and Radagon. At first I couldn’t really see this being the case even with the supporting evidence, such as Messmer aligning pretty well aesthetically with the smouldering butterfly, completing the trio alongside Miquella’s nascent butterfly and Malenia’s Aeonian butterfly, as well as the initial letter M in his name suiting the twins’ naming convention along with the obvious red hair.
The reason was simple; if Messmer exists in the Land of Shadow as an already well-established historical figure who seems to have been wiped from the histories of the Lands Between then how could he exist as a sibling to Malenia and Miquella who were born well after the establishment of the Golden Order? Everything about Messmer visually as well as what little we know about his character seems to suggest a strong connection to the twin prodigies, or at the very least Radagon, yet his very place in the word of Elden Ring seems to contradict the idea of him being born any later than Marika’s campaign to become God of the Lands Between. In other words, Messmer’s very existence which seems to only be acknowledged within the confines of the Land of Shadow suggests that he was likely born there and has either been bound to or willingly decided to preside over the Land of Shadow (or possibly even been assigned the Land of Shadow as his domain by Marika herself). There may very well be something concrete I’m overlooking that could explain this discrepancy, if so please let me know.
So how do we reconcile this contradiction? Basically what I’ll be positing is that Messmer is the result of Marika’s first foray into the world of asexual reproduction, the same process that would eventually result in the births of the Twin Prodigies, Miquella and Malenia.

As some point after Godfrey’s exile from the Lands Between Marika would call upon Radagon to essentially abandon all his duties/responsibilities in Liurnia and return to the Capital to serve as King Consort and Second Elden Lord. Radagon, being the (in Marika’s own words) “leal hound of the Golden Order” he is, does this without question, but not before leaving an an amber egg behind as his parting gift for Queen Renalla. We don’t have too much to go on from this point on aside from minor interactions/tidbits of info regarding the relationship Radagon seems to have had with his children, as well as the fact that he seems to have been the most ardent supporter of the Golden Order. A child who was marked with the same curse as his father, a burning mane of red hair. As to why Marika would decide to have this child, it could any number of reasons (early attempt at birthing an Empyrean to succeed her, deciding to have a child in case Hoarah Loux wasn’t chill like that and deeming Radagon the only one worthy of being father to the Queen’s son for whatever reason, etc.) but I don’t think it’s too far of a stretch given Marika’s heavy association with the power of giving birth/life, both literal and symbolic. I believe this child to be none other than Messmer.
Seen as this part of history is very murky it’s unclear just how long Marika had stayed in the Land of Shadow. For the sake of speculation I’m going to assume it was long enough for Messmer to have grown into an individual in his own right, perhaps even standing out as a truly faithful servant of the Erdtree just like his father, and a Demigod who might one day be worthy of Empyrean in the eyes of Marika. As Marika’s ambitions eventually led to her union with Hoarah Loux/Godfrey and the establishment of a Royal Line, it was becoming increasingly clear to her that Messmer could not be allowed to exist in a world where his lineage would undermine the claim of her child(ren) with her now-husband and King Consort Godfrey. Marika’s solution was rather blunt yet undoubtedly cruel; if Messmer couldn’t exist in Marika’s New Age then he simply wouldn’t. Prior to embarking on her final campaign, Marika would grant Messmer dominion over the region that is now called the Land of Shadow and would bestow upon him the task of punishing those who are without Grace.
This is where I am yet to decide whether I think Messmer is carrying out Marika’s wishes loyally, completely oblivious to the fact that his mother has virtually erased him from the hearts and minds of all inhabitants of the Lands Between, or if he is aware of the fact that Marika abandoned him in the Land of Shadow and holds some degree of resentment toward her for it but still deciding to ultimately be Lord of the Land of Shadow.
Just a few more things regarding Messmer specifically: - He seems to have heavy association with/control over flames in general, whether this comes down to a connection with Dragons or the Flame of Ruin is anyone’s guess. I personally believe it to be both given that he has the red hair synonymous with Giants in the world of Elden Ring, as well as seemingly draconic features such as his eye and the dragon-like wings on his helmet and all over his snakes (also his drip which many people have compared to the Drake Knight set). - Messmer’s snakes seem to indicate some connection Messmer may have with the Serpent that has only ever been described as an ancient enemy of the Erdtree. If this is the case then not only would it give us an idea of why Messmer might hold some kind of animosity toward Marika/the Erdtree but it would also parallel the biblical serpent (who is Lucifer in disguise) in the Garden of Paradise who leads Adam and Eve to stray from obeying God and eating the forbidden fruit. In this case Messmer would be Elden Ring’s Lucifer; he who was once the most faithful, now the very icon of blasphemy. At this current point in time we can only speculate on his motives, though I suspect he may have been punished and ‘veiled’ beneath the Erdtree/in its shadow (his own ‘hell’ that he claims rulership over) as punishment for embracing things that Marika sought to eventually cull (after the Giants had been slaughtered maybe) despite himself being not only her son but an enforcer of the Golden Order. - Then there’s the case of the butterflies. I still believe there’s a chance that Melina could be matched with the smouldering butterfly though I can’t ignore the glaring possibility that this could very well be Messmer’s butterfly; not only for the visual similarities but also because of the fact that Messmer seems to have a unique relationship with flames, with an NPC even commenting on his flame in particular in the trailer for SotE. There’s also the fact that, despite being present almost anywhere in the Lands Between that has fire, the smouldering butterfly seems to bare connection to and might even come from the Mountaintops of the Giants, further tying Messmer to the Giants/Fell God. Butterflies are also symbols of metamorphosis, transformation and rebirth, and each sibling born of Marika and Radagon seems to experience a “hatching from the cocoon” represented by their butterfly; Malenia Aeonian butterfly representing her blossoming into the Goddess of Rot, Miquella’s butterfly representing his premature removal from his cocoon, and perhaps Messmer’s butterfly represents being born of the Fell God of Flame or maybe it’s just meant to visually represent him. It is possible that Messmer also shares the theme of rebirth through his father Radagon who had gifted the Rune of Rebirth to Renalla, indicating that Radagon was the very least interested enough in rebirth that he decided to extract the rune that was rebirth manifest. I personally think Messmer’s butterfly (if it is indeed his) could symbolise any hope of Messmer’s ‘second life’ in the Lands Between going up in flames as a result of Marika’s actions and subsequent reign.

It was this vestige of the Fell God’s influence that had forced Marika to resort to most unusual means of expelling the influence of an Outer God; to simply carve out the piece of her that has been ‘tainted’, so to speak. In order to do this she would need to take full advantage of her power to give life by physically expelling/carving out the part of her that has been cursed by the Fell God and, rather than letting even a piece of her being be taken by death, sprouting that piece of herself into a unique life form in itself. A life form whose sole purpose is to serves as the vessel for a curse. This being would eventually go on to serve Marika and even become her most loyal follower, a natural development given that they are literally a part of her. This part of Marika would eventually go on to become a well established figure among the Erdtree Faithful despite their mysterious beginnings, the only clue to which being his burning red hair; a constant reminder that he was born of a Fell God’s curse.

This is where things get a little complicated as we don’t have sufficient enough info to properly speculate imo on the circumstances surrounding the Land of Shadow, but I’ll try anyways. I believe that at the time of making contact with the Fell God, Marika had still been residing in what is now the Land of Shadow. I believe that, prior to marrying Godfrey and securing his might in support of her genocide on the Giants, Marika had already given birth to a child. A child who was marked with the same curse as his father, a burning mane of red hair. As to why Marika would decide to have this child, it could any number of reasons (early attempt at birthing an Empyrean to succeed her, deciding to have a child in case Hoarah Loux wasn’t chill like that and deeming Radagon the only one worthy of being father to the Queen’s son for whatever reason, etc.) but I don’t think it’s too far of a stretch given Marika’s heavy association with the power of giving birth/life, both literal and symbolic. I believe this child to be none other than Messmer.
Seen as this part of history is very murky it’s unclear just how long Marika had stayed in the Land of Shadow. For the sake of speculation I’m going to assume it was long enough for Messmer to have grown into an individual in his own right, perhaps even standing out as a truly faithful servant of the Erdtree just like his father, and a Demigod who might one day be worthy of Empyrean in the eyes of Marika. As Marika’s ambitions eventually led to her union with Hoarah Loux/Godfrey and the establishment of a Royal Line, it was becoming increasingly clear to her that Messmer could not be allowed to exist in a world where his lineage would undermine the claim of her child(ren) with her now-husband and King Consort Godfrey. Marika’s solution was rather blunt yet undoubtedly cruel; if Messmer couldn’t exist in Marika’s New Age then he simply wouldn’t. Prior to embarking on her final campaign, Marika would grant Messmer dominion over the region that is now called the Land of Shadow and would bestow upon him the task of punishing those who are without Grace.
This is where I am yet to decide whether I think Messmer is carrying out Marika’s wishes loyally, completely oblivious to the fact that his mother has virtually erased him from the hearts and minds of all inhabitants of the Lands Between, or if he is aware of the fact that Marika abandoned him in the Land of Shadow and holds some degree of resentment toward her for it but still deciding to ultimately be Lord of the Land of Shadow.
Just a few more things regarding Messmer specifically: - He seems to have heavy association with/control over flames in general, whether this comes down to a connection with Dragons or the Flame of Ruin is anyone’s guess. I personally believe it to be both given that he has the red hair synonymous with Giants in the world of Elden Ring, as well as seemingly draconic features such as his eye and the dragon-like wings on his helmet and all over his snakes (also his drip which many people have compared to the Drake Knight set). - Messmer’s snakes seem to indicate some connection Messmer may have with the Serpent that has only ever been described as an ancient enemy of the Erdtree. If this is the case then not only would it give us an idea of why Messmer might hold some kind of animosity toward Marika/the Erdtree but it would also parallel the biblical serpent (who is Lucifer in disguise) in the Garden of Paradise who leads Adam and Eve to stray from obeying God and eating the forbidden fruit. In this case Messmer would be Elden Ring’s Lucifer; he who was once the most faithful, now the very icon of blasphemy. At this current point in time we can only speculate on his motives, though I suspect he may have been punished and ‘veiled’ beneath the Erdtree/in its shadow (his own ‘hell’ that he claims rulership over) as punishment for embracing things that Marika sought to eventually cull (after the Giants had been slaughtered maybe) despite himself being not only her son but an enforcer of the Golden Order. - Then there’s the case of the butterflies. I still believe there’s a chance that Melina could be matched with the smouldering butterfly though I can’t ignore the glaring possibility that this could very well be Messmer’s butterfly; not only for the visual similarities but also because of the fact that Messmer seems to have a unique relationship with flames, with an NPC even commenting on his flame in particular in the trailer for SotE. There’s also the fact that, despite being present almost anywhere in the Lands Between that has fire, the smouldering butterfly seems to bare connection to and might even come from the Mountaintops of the Giants, further tying Messmer to the Giants/Fell God. Butterflies are also symbols of metamorphosis, transformation and rebirth, and each sibling born of Marika and Radagon seems to experience a “hatching from the cocoon” represented by their butterfly; Malenia Aeonian butterfly representing her blossoming into the Goddess of Rot, Miquella’s butterfly representing his premature removal from his cocoon, and perhaps Messmer’s butterfly represents being born of the Fell God of Flame or maybe it’s just meant to visually represent him. It is possible that Messmer also shares the theme of rebirth through his father Radagon who had gifted the Rune of Rebirth to Renalla, indicating that Radagon was the very least interested enough in rebirth that he decided to extract the rune that was rebirth manifest. I personally think Messmer’s butterfly (if it is indeed his) could symbolise any hope of Messmer’s ‘second life’ in the Lands Between going up in flames as a result of Marika’s actions and subsequent reign.

Ever since the trailer for SotE dropped and we got our first look at Messmer, coupled with the info that Miyazaki has provided in interviews since then, people have theorised that Messmer is the child of Marika ( confirmed ) and Radagon. At first I couldn’t really see this being the case even with the supporting evidence, such as Messmer aligning pretty well aesthetically with the smouldering butterfly, completing the trio alongside Miquella’s nascent butterfly and Malenia’s Aeonian butterfly, as well as the initial letter M in his name suiting the twins’ naming convention along with the obvious red hair.
The reason was simple; if Messmer exists in the Land of Shadow as an already well-established historical figure who seems to have been wiped from the histories of the Lands Between then how could he exist as a sibling to Malenia and Miquella who were born well after the establishment of the Golden Order? Everything about Messmer visually as well as what little we know about his character seems to suggest a strong connection to the twin prodigies, or at the very least Radagon, yet his very place in the word of Elden Ring seems to contradict the idea of him being born any later than Marika’s campaign to become God of the Lands Between. In other words, Messmer’s very existence which seems to only be acknowledged within the confines of the Land of Shadow suggests that he was likely born there and has either been bound to or willingly decided to preside over the Land of Shadow (or possibly even been assigned the Land of Shadow as his domain by Marika herself). There may very well be something concrete I’m overlooking that could explain this discrepancy, if so please let me know.
So how do we reconcile this contradiction? Basically what I’ll be positing is that Messmer is the result of Marika’s first foray into the world of asexual reproduction, the same process that would eventually result in the births of the Twin Prodigies, Miquella and Malenia.

As some point after Godfrey’s exile from the Lands Between Marika would call upon Radagon to essentially abandon all his duties/responsibilities in Liurnia and return to the Capital to serve as King Consort and Second Elden Lord. Radagon, being the (in Marika’s own words) “leal hound of the Golden Order” he is, does this without question, but not before leaving an an amber egg behind as his parting gift for Queen Renalla. We don’t have too much to go on from this point on aside from minor interactions/tidbits of info regarding the relationship Radagon seems to have had with his children, as well as the fact that he seems to have been the most ardent supporter of the Golden Order. His story would ultimately culminate in the shattering of the Elden Ring with his role being that of a doomed servant, slaving away in an attempt to repair the Elden Ring despite the futility of it, minding the Elden Ring until the arrival of the next Lord.

Ever since the trailer for SotE dropped and we got our first look at Messmer, coupled with the info that Miyazaki has provided in interviews since then, people have theorised that Messmer is the child of Marika ( confirmed ) and Radagon. At first I couldn’t really see this being the case even with the supporting evidence, such as Messmer aligning pretty well aesthetically with the smouldering butterfly, completing the trio alongside Miquella’s nascent butterfly and Malenia’s Aeonian butterfly, as well as the initial letter M in his name suiting the twins’ naming convention along with the obvious red hair.
The reason was simple; if Messmer exists in the Land of Shadow as an already well-established historical figure who seems to have been wiped from the histories of the Lands Between then how could he exist as a sibling to Malenia and Miquella who were born well after the establishment of the Golden Order? Everything about Messmer visually as well as what little we know about his character seems to suggest a strong connection to the twin prodigies, or at the very least Radagon, yet his very place in the word of Elden Ring seems to contradict the idea of him being born any later than Marika’s campaign to become God of the Lands Between. In other words, Messmer’s very existence which seems to only be acknowledged within the confines of the Land of Shadow suggests that he was likely born there and has either been bound to or willingly decided to preside over the Land of Shadow (or possibly even been assigned the Land of Shadow as his domain by Marika herself). There may very well be something concrete I’m overlooking that could explain this discrepancy, if so please let me know.
So how do we reconcile this contradiction? Basically what I’ll be positing is that Messmer is the result of Marika’s first foray into the world of asexual reproduction, the same process that would eventually result in the births of the Twin Prodigies, Miquella and Malenia.
Radagon
One of the biggest mysteries in Elden Ring ever since it’s release has been Radagon. Whether it be his origins, powers or emphasised significance in the Lands Between despite very little information regarding his past, Radagon has been shrouded in mystery. What little info we are given regarding his character only serves to complicate things further, as his statue in the Royal Capital reveals that Radagon is Marika. We know that he was once a champion of the Erdtree Faithful and waged two wars on Liurnia on Marika’s behalf, and that soon after he would fall in love with and marry the Carian Queen Renalla, bringing an end to the conflict and establishing peace between the Carians/Academy of Raya Lucaria and the forces of the Erdtree. As some point after Godfrey’s exile from the Lands Between Marika would call upon Radagon to essentially abandon all his duties/responsibilities in Liurnia and return to the Capital to serve as King Consort and Second Elden Lord. Radagon, being the (in Marika’s own words) “leal hound of the Golden Order” he is, does this without question, but not before leaving an an amber egg behind as his parting gift for Queen Renalla. We don’t have too much to go on from this point on aside from minor interactions/tidbits of info regarding the relationship Radagon seems to have had with his children, as well as the fact that he seems to have been the most ardent supporter of the Golden Order. His story would ultimately culminate in the shattering of the Elden Ring with his role being that of a doomed servant, slaving away in an attempt to repair the Elden Ring despite the futility of it, minding the Elden Ring until the arrival of the next Lord.
I believe that Radagon’s story begins much earlier than initially expected. It was commonly assumed that Radagon was active, at the very least, as a loyal supporter of Marika as far back as Marika’s genocidal campaign against the Giants, but I believe his story begins much earlier than that. I believe that prior to even marching on the Mountaintop of the Giants Marika may have come into some kind of contact with the Fell God, or at the very least an avatar of some kind for the Fell God’s power, and that this encounter left Marika marked with some kind of curse and that this curse would manifest physically. It was this vestige of the Fell God’s influence that had forced Marika to resort to most unusual means of expelling the influence of an Outer God; to simply carve out the piece of her that has been ‘tainted’, so to speak. In order to do this she would need to take full advantage of her power to give life by physically expelling/carving out the part of her that has been cursed by the Fell God and, rather than letting even a piece of her being be taken by death, sprouting that piece of herself into a unique life form in itself. A life form whose sole purpose is to serves as the vessel for a curse. This being would eventually go on to serve Marika and even become her most loyal follower, a natural development given that they are literally a part of her. This part of Marika would eventually go on to become a well established figure among the Erdtree Faithful despite their mysterious beginnings, the only clue to which being his burning red hair; a constant reminder that he was born of a Fell God’s curse.
Messmer
This is where things get a little complicated as we don’t have sufficient enough info to properly speculate imo on the circumstances surrounding the Land of Shadow, but I’ll try anyways. I believe that at the time of making contact with the Fell God, Marika had still been residing in what is now the Land of Shadow. I believe that, prior to marrying Godfrey and securing his might in support of her genocide on the Giants, Marika had already given birth to a child. A child who was marked with the same curse as his father, a burning mane of red hair. As to why Marika would decide to have this child, it could any number of reasons (early attempt at birthing an Empyrean to succeed her, deciding to have a child in case Hoarah Loux wasn’t chill like that and deeming Radagon the only one worthy of being father to the Queen’s son for whatever reason, etc.) but I don’t think it’s too far of a stretch given Marika’s heavy association with the power of giving birth/life, both literal and symbolic. I believe this child to be none other than Messmer.
Seen as this part of history is very murky it’s unclear just how long Marika had stayed in the Land of Shadow. For the sake of speculation I’m going to assume it was long enough for Messmer to have grown into an individual in his own right, perhaps even standing out as a truly faithful servant of the Erdtree just like his father, and a Demigod who might one day be worthy of Empyrean in the eyes of Marika. As Marika’s ambitions eventually led to her union with Hoarah Loux/Godfrey and the establishment of a Royal Line, it was becoming increasingly clear to her that Messmer could not be allowed to exist in a world where his lineage would undermine the claim of her child(ren) with her now-husband and King Consort Godfrey. Marika’s solution was rather blunt yet undoubtedly cruel; if Messmer couldn’t exist in Marika’s New Age then he simply wouldn’t. Prior to embarking on her final campaign, Marika would grant Messmer dominion over the region that is now called the Land of Shadow and would bestow upon him the task of punishing those who are without Grace.
This is where I am yet to decide whether I think Messmer is carrying out Marika’s wishes loyally, completely oblivious to the fact that his mother has virtually erased him from the hearts and minds of all inhabitants of the Lands Between, or if he is aware of the fact that Marika abandoned him in the Land of Shadow and holds some degree of resentment toward her for it but still deciding to ultimately be Lord of the Land of Shadow.
Just a few more things regarding Messmer specifically: - He seems to have heavy association with/control over flames in general, whether this comes down to a connection with Dragons or the Flame of Ruin is anyone’s guess. I personally believe it to be both given that he has the red hair synonymous with Giants in the world of Elden Ring, as well as seemingly draconic features such as his eye and the dragon-like wings on his helmet and all over his snakes (also his drip which many people have compared to the Drake Knight set). - Messmer’s snakes seem to indicate some connection Messmer may have with the Serpent that has only ever been described as an ancient enemy of the Erdtree. If this is the case then not only would it give us an idea of why Messmer might hold some kind of animosity toward Marika/the Erdtree but it would also parallel the biblical serpent (who is Lucifer in disguise) in the Garden of Paradise who leads Adam and Eve to stray from obeying God and eating the forbidden fruit. In this case Messmer would be Elden Ring’s Lucifer; he who was once the most faithful, now the very icon of blasphemy. At this current point in time we can only speculate on his motives, though I suspect he may have been punished and ‘veiled’ beneath the Erdtree/in its shadow (his own ‘hell’ that he claims rulership over) as punishment for embracing things that Marika sought to eventually cull (after the Giants had been slaughtered maybe) despite himself being not only her son but an enforcer of the Golden Order. - Then there’s the case of the butterflies. I still believe there’s a chance that Melina could be matched with the smouldering butterfly though I can’t ignore the glaring possibility that this could very well be Messmer’s butterfly; not only for the visual similarities but also because of the fact that Messmer seems to have a unique relationship with flames, with an NPC even commenting on his flame in particular in the trailer for SotE. There’s also the fact that, despite being present almost anywhere in the Lands Between that has fire, the smouldering butterfly seems to bare connection to and might even come from the Mountaintops of the Giants, further tying Messmer to the Giants/Fell God. Butterflies are also symbols of metamorphosis, transformation and rebirth, and each sibling born of Marika and Radagon seems to experience a “hatching from the cocoon” represented by their butterfly; Malenia Aeonian butterfly representing her blossoming into the Goddess of Rot, Miquella’s butterfly representing his premature removal from his cocoon, and perhaps Messmer’s butterfly represents being born of the Fell God of Flame or maybe it’s just meant to visually represent him. It is possible that Messmer also shares the theme of rebirth through his father Radagon who had gifted the Rune of Rebirth to Renalla, indicating that Radagon was the very least interested enough in rebirth that he decided to extract the rune that was rebirth manifest. I personally think Messmer’s butterfly (if it is indeed his) could symbolise any hope of Messmer’s ‘second life’ in the Lands Between going up in flames as a result of Marika’s actions and subsequent reign.
That’s about all I have for now, feel free to point out anything I may have missed in-game that could reduce my entire theory to smithereens.
TLDR: Marika at some point during her time in the Land of Shadow encountered the Fell God and was marked with a curse. She expelled this curse through what is essentially mitosis in a way, splitting herself in two and having her other half (Radagon) carry the curse (red hair). She then proceeds to have her first child (Messmer) with Radagon before marrying Hoarah Loux/Godfrey and abandoning Messmer in Australia and making sure he never sees the light of day.

Sorry for the long paragraph. I don't know which community is right. I am new here. So, um when I was in class 8. We have a board exam that year. So I kinda started my year with a banger. I was studying more attentively. I was being more present in class. I was answering questions. I never answer unless the teacher picks me, which rarely happens. I am a good student. This makes me a bit arrogant, cuz if I got such decent results by not even properly studying, I don't need to stress. So yeah. My year was going super good. And boom covid fucking started. And even tho I was super studying. I am way too lazy too. Now that we were in lockdown. I completely abandoned my books. Forget studying. I was in my phone all day. Like actually all day. To give a bit more info. Class 8 has an board exam. Class 9,10 is studied with the same books, it's where we choose majors like science, commerce, and arts, I was a science student. 11,12 is college and we still have majors like science, commerce, and arts, still choose science. After that is uni. Class 8,9 went like this. Since it was lockdown, my father would scold us all to study my would be the typical mum I wrote below, sk I didn't. Studying would make them win. :) For us to be promoted to class 10 they took an annual exam in September I think I forgot. I don't remember my result but I crammed everything. Then in class 10. We finally went to school. Like I said classes 9, and 10 are the same book. Soo I didn't touch my book for a year now I know nothing. That went like this. In the class sitting helpless cuz I know nothing. Then my sister told me about her tutor, so me and my friend went to him. He, we will call him C, introduced us to his friend, and we'll call him K who also became our tutor. Side note, I got comfortable with K, way more than C. K, was kinda my motivation, I wanted to make him proud, but I didn't, I failed. I haven't called him in a year. I am so sorry. I didn't want to disappoint you of all people. But I did. Just to get you the gist there was a time i studied at 5 tutors. Yeahh, so now I get to the main point. I think since all I did during lockdown was be on my phone I am still kind of stuck at that age in some ways, mentally. I am almost 18. I was 13 when COVID started. Me and my mum was in some bad blood at that time, probably she asking me to study, I not. Other than studying for my tutor's homework. I didn't touch my books enough. Suddenly it was exam time. I've left so many times in the past 14 years, never successfully. He's followed me, held me at gunpoint and broken everything to get me back. Our daughter is 13 now and we're exhausted of it. His brother died from cancer in January. He begged me at the funeral to give him once very last chance we had been free for 3 months at that point, moved across the street from him, I was stupid. I thought he had changed he pretended to stop smoking to stop drinking to stop gambling. He had been doing all the correct pretending and mannerism. Now he's gotten me fired from my job for harassment and stalking me, threatened my boss. Daily he's been screaming and yelling at both me and our child. He convinced us to completely move out of our apartment and go in with him to another lease. We've been here 6 weeks now. Mother's Day was hell. He screamed and yelled at me because nobody will hire me when he shows up asking follow up questions post interview. He tells the potential bosses that they'll need to call him when I leave and arrive to work. Ummm no!?! They tell me different things but always that they've decided to go on a different direction for hiring. Last month my only access to a vehicle broke completely down. He took every penny I've made since January. I'm scared. On Sunday I told him I'd get just yelling and screaming at us to please go take time with his parents down the road for a while. He was so angry. He dragged his 80 year old parents to my for to scream at us in front of the neighbors. My child and I have been sick inside of our apartment afraid to leave since then because he still has his key and the second we leave, we're scared to lose everything and we have nowhere to go or no way to get anywhere. We live in Texas and to make it worse my family passed away over the years and he's isolated me for a decade and half so I'm not even on speaking terms with friends not do we know people here. His family and his hometown. And sadly his family know everyone in this small town. Even his mother went to high school with the local shelter lady so anytime I've ever called cops or the shelter, they hear the family name and say I'm mistaken, it's just "emotional misstep" and they never file anything. He's put me in the hospital, not once, not twice, he's been arrested when we lived back home where nobody knew his family, over 4 times but we moved back to Texas during COVID. Even if I wanted to take a bus there's only one day they run each week and I only have sold enough of my possessions to have $30 to my name right now. I'm looking at me and my daughter who I have full custody of since our divorce before COVID, I'm looking at us literally leaving hundreds of dollars worth of things we owned and nobody on Facebook market place seams real they're all along for pin codes etc. Where do we go? How do we get there!? I'm stuck. He can literally come back anytime. The fatality risk score at national domestic violence hotline was really high. I need ideas what to do, how? Yesterday, I've watched Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves again. First I've watched it long before the game. I've decided to watch it again, and I highly recommend you all to do the same.
While I was watching, something has occured: one of the peak moments of the movie includes "talk to the corpse" spell. I've never played D&D as a tabletop frp. I've read some of Strahd/Ravenloft, Raistlin Majere and Drizzt books when I was in highschool and college but never played, so I'm not familiar with the D&D rules. In that scene, tiefling druid girl Doric, asks Simon, half elf sorcerer, why the spell lets us ask only five questions, and Simon answers "Just because, I don't know, it works like that." Doric also asks "But why five? It's like so random?" In our game, we can use this exact same spell to ask corpses exactly five questions. I immedietaly wondered if that's a post movie, very early game referance, because I've read that both movie and the game were in writing process at the same time and both writers looked each other's works. But it can be this spell's own rule in D&D too, so maybe a dumb question. Do you know which? Oh, and movie's party includes four chars too. And when a temporary party companion leaves the party, he just walks in a strict way, like an npc and in the movie they are talking about that too. That's just lovely.
I, really, highly recommend you all to watch that movie after playing our precious game, again. It's a gem.

Hey y'all, so this week, I had probably the biggest episode in a very long time. And I was sitting here thinking how out of all my mental issues, BPD is by far the worst. So, I called my mom, who while I was growing up, didn't understand the BPD. So, I went down the list and walked her through each and every thing that makes me, me.
She listened, asked questions, and tried to understand.
We then went into the relationship I have with my kids. I explained that I've done research on how children of BPD folks tend to grow up and view their BPD parent as toxic, and use that knowledge to try and be opposite. I have a 10 year old and a 1 year old. I am extremely open with my 10 year old. She knows every part of my mental health. I can tell her in the morning for instance if it's going to be a bad day, and she will tell me it's ok to have a bad day. My daughter is the most empathetic person I've ever met. I told my mother that the openness and showing her that it is ok to not be ok is how I'm hoping she won't look back one day and be like some folks I know with parents with this disorder.
But back to my mother, so after an hour conversation about my mental health, she told me she was proud of me. She told me that it's crazy that I did it all alone and apologized for medicating me at such a young age, she thought the doctors were doing right by me. She then told me that I'm a better mother than she ever was to any of her kids. That she wishes that my life before I was adopted by her had been better, and I never had the laundry list of problems that I do, but because of that, and because I have a driving force to become a better mom(not become my egg donor), that she is in awe of me.
To say I cried ugly tears was an understatement. I have not had a good cry in years, but to hear my mom apologize for the life I went through, and tell me those things and finally hear me was just something I had to share.
Tldr: my mom told me she was proud of who I've become and that I'm a better mother than she was.

Hi! I was just wondering how complicated some families can get? My family isn’t that complicated at all, if you disregard my step-grandmother like we do, but I know that some people’s families can get extremely complicated. For example (the reason I pose this question in the first place) a girl I used to be friends with in high school, her best friend once everyone realised how toxic she was, was her ex-step-step-cousin (ex step siblings ex step siblings cousin - it’s how they met), and I’ve recently heard that her ex step step cousin is now her step niece, if that makes sense, but also her step aunt on the other side of her family (half sibling via fathers step daughter, and mothers new step sister). I’m honestly confused about her family as a whole - I remember each time she got a new sibling or step sibling while we were friends - at LEAST twice a year. So anyway I was wondering - how complicated can families get?

Hey there, Gamers! Thanks for possibly being interested in helping me get this game, it means quite a lot to have someplace to at least send a request into the proverbial void to potentially get something if I don't have the particular means to, and occasionally it's nice to get something from the goodness of people, so thanks for allowing for that to happen regardless. Now with my gratitude expressed in a way I'm happy with, let's move onto the meat and potatoes of why I'm here:
Of course, the game's not anywhere near being finished given there's regular major updates before release, but frankly the excitement of seeing the game develop over time and have more to see about it isn't something I've experienced since having bought Ultrakill and seeing that game update as an example. Yet from the smattering of content I've seen personally of the game, I'm absolutely hooked on wanting to play the game and experience its secrets for myself rather than just watch the game myself. Frankly, there's just a lot to do even in the Early Access stage that it's in, and having the ability to play a sequel to a game I dearly loved and played the hell out of on Xbox would be very much appreciated.
Now for the part that we've been waiting for and the question of the century:
Now, normally I'm perfectly happy to have an excuse to stay home and enjoy some time with my grandma, but as explained above, I couldn't also have a job just because there isn't a car free for one and nobody is hiring for evening shifts from what I've researched from a couple of weeks ago and still recently.
As such, unfortunately I just can't spare the time between taking care of my grandmother and trying to work around my mom's schedule to get something that would work for a job, which sucks, but I hope it's at least understandable why I can't. At the very least though, I'm very excited and happy to see my grandmother again and spend time with her, though I would deeply enjoy being able to still play Hades II in my free time over the summer and onwards.

The much-awaited yet simultaneously unexpected golden child of Supergiant Games' Hades, Hades II follows up on its predecessor in what is effectively... even more of everything people loved about Hades and set with a separate tone and even more content! Of course, the separate tone with things such as witchcraft incantations, a cast of new characters, and even double the content for runs makes this sequel an absolutely interesting experience to behold from streamers playing the game and uncovering as much as they can. And not to mention the character design of the games which honestly is rather inspiring to see how Supergiant adapts even more of the Greek mythos to their telling of the world and the stories within. Personally, I have to say that I'm absolutely excited to see more of Odysseus, Nemesis, and Hecate after seeing they're part of the cast, and the sprites for things such as bathing and the like are absolutely phenomenal to see after experiences the first game.Of course, the game's not anywhere near being finished given there's regular major updates before release, but frankly the excitement of seeing the game develop over time and have more to see about it isn't something I've experienced since having bought Ultrakill and seeing that game update as an example. Now, this is something that I frankly wish I could buy for myself given it's only around thirty dollars, ESPECIALLY given the fact that I've got a break over the Summer to possibly take a part-time for some personal income given everything else is already covered, but the fact of the matter is that my grandmother had been scheduled to be flown in from my mom's home country of Peru to stay with us over the Summer (which I'd been unaware of), and as a result I have been tasked with taking care of her and everything since she arrives tomorrow and all and my mother still has work. As such, given the fact we only have one car and I have the free time to spare, I was given the responsibility to make sure and help my grandmother around the house to make her stay comfortable.Now, normally I'm perfectly happy to have an excuse to stay home and enjoy some time with my grandma, but as explained above, I couldn't also have a job just because there isn't a car free for one and nobody is hiring for evening shifts from what I've researched from a couple of weeks ago and still recently.

This seems like it would be pretty straightforward, except I got the 'tism and and I'm having a hard time processing the negativity.
My sister's stepson (?m), at some point when my sister was housesitting while I was working in a remote location, stole one of my credit cards and racked up $1,400US in charges to a mobile game. My sister, her husband, and I sat down with the child and had a conversation, while on speaker with a state police officer, letting him know that the only reason he wasn't being arrested for grand theft was due to his age. Sister, BIL, and I all agreed that if the bank doesn't reverse the charges, that his XBOX, bike, and Switch will be sold to recoup the costs. If that doesn't cover the debt, any money he earns over the summer break will be given to me. He's also been informed that he is no longer trusted to be in my home, supervised or not. Everyone is in agreement, he fucked up and there are consequences.
Everyone except his birth mother and his grandparents.
His mother is calling me a "greedy and selfish asshole" because, in her words to me, "you make three times that debt in a single pay period, what's it to you?" She's now gone as far as messaging people in my friend group and leaving out the part that her son stole almost $1,500 from me.
His grandparents are accusing me of basically the same thing, and have threatened to go to the police for "stealing his things" (the bike and consoles).

After the tragic passing of your parents you were taken in by one of the high ranking soldiers. He looked after you, alongside another, and you saw him grow his wealth. Wealth was all the man needed to build up a family at home and that was what he did
A few years after taking you in he had a daughter. His precious little daughter with a curse that would haunt her for the rest of her life. From the moment the girl was born she was in danger and targeted by many groups. Some wanted to kill her and some wanted to use her for the key that she possessed in her heart. After realising this: the man had trained you up in the arts of combat to make you the best agent that he had! Though you still failed to be his number one agent. Your 'brother' was always one step ahead of you. He could figure out ways to handicap almost anyone.. hacking their security and taking over everything that they had. Instead of you, he was put up to protect the bosses daughter and you were made to become the bosses mercenary, taking care of any threats that could possibly cause harm or damage to him and his family.
Although soon that would all change.
One night the daughter and her best friend had gone out for a party.. just for a bit of fun. But when the morning came the daughter and her protector was no where to be seen. A few years after taking you in he had a daughter. His precious little daughter with a curse that would haunt her for the rest of her life. From the moment the girl was born she was in danger and targeted by many groups. Some wanted to kill her and some wanted to use her for the key that she possessed in her heart. After realising this: the man had trained you up in the arts of combat to make you the best agent that he had! Though you still failed to be his number one agent. Your 'brother' was always one step ahead of you. He could figure out ways to handicap almost anyone.. hacking their security and taking over everything that they had. Instead of you, he was put up to protect the bosses daughter and you were made to become the bosses mercenary, taking care of any threats that could possibly cause harm or damage to him and his family.

I (28F) went on a first date with a guy (28M) who travelled from Toronto to London (where I live) for 5 days. I know he didn't travel to meet me because he had tickets for a football game and I had kind of ghosted him in the talking stage when he first said he'd come to London to meet me and we could spend that whole time together. We met on Instagram, we didn't text much because he wanted to call asap. On the call he hardly asked me questions to get to know me/show interest, he asked a few but brought the topic to hooking up, not full on sex talk but like kissing, touching etc. I find that talk extremely uncomfortable as it's fast and I can't desire someone I don't connect with yet or hardly know of. I think it's because growing up I got lots of unwanted male attention due to my body and face which are deemed conventionally "attractive" by societal standards but I can only desire people I find intellectually interesting, with whom I share interests etc. Anyway, I ghosted him for weeks due to this, he tried again a few times but he then unfollowed me, but texted me again after a while.

He kept pressuring me to meet earlier when I said I have work and I suggested him places he can buy an adaptor, to ask in hotel reception they almost always have one etc but he didn't solve his problem. I had a long day with no sleep the night before, but I still put on high heels, a nice dress, got a blowout and my most expensive makeup and had to Uber there instead of tube. Because I was tired, it slipped my mind that I was supposed to meet him at his hotel to bring him an adaptor. We'd be late for our booking anyway, so I told him to meet at the restaurant which is a short 5 minute ride from his hotel. I arrived and made sure they can charge his phone there but he still was mad saying he can't come because his phone may die and it's at 2% (but he still talked for a way too long time that wouldn't last). I said the hotel can call him a cab which would be hardly a £5-7 ride and I'll wait in front and they confirmed they'll charge here. He lied on the phone saying all his credit cards are on his phone/he doesn't carry physical cards to pay (I saw him use them after). He made me wait for 40 minutes at the bar. By the time he arrived, I was a bit annoyed about how long it took him and how he wasn't being gentleman/had bad attitude, but we sat down for dinner. He said I can order food and he can order drinks. He then said that he doesn't know wine. So why do you insist on ordering the wine?? I grew up in France and have strong interest in wine, visited vineries across the world, worked briefly for one etc I'd have been happy to order for us but he didn't even let me share this. The wine he ordered was disgusting but he said he finds it so strange if people just send away after tasting although the staff always asks if you like it, as you know. Please don't think I'm a snob but I get icked out when men don't know anything about wine. It's ok to not know and admit it but why do you single-handedly decide then? I have photos in wineries on my IG, for example. He didn't seem open to ordering more than 1 pasta dish each and sharing an appetizer. During dinner he couldn't carry a convo well when I'd try to tell a story, he'd interrupt me or talk about himself. The portions were so small we weren't full but he didn't want to order more. I wanted to order dessert because I'm a sweet tooth and would've been happy to just share one, but he tried to delay it by saying let's go to the bar and drink instead or I can order to the bar because he doesn't like the seating. I got icked out that he wouldn't let me order dessert because it screamed cheap. This man was fully decked out in designer sneakers and coats and frequented fancy places, biz/first class flights but he smelled sweaty (I think it was the Moncler coat, I have the same because they tend to need a regular dry clean). I didn't offer to pay because he asked me out and I never pay on first dates. I'm in a good place financially and professionally myself and I think men who can't afford to pay for the first date should be dating, period. He said we can listen to live music at his hotel's bar. I said I don't want to sleep over but ok. On the road I checked and that bar was closed. At this point I felt so dizzy and he took me to his room which I don't remember well. I find it strange because half a bottle of wine and one cocktail never makes me like this. Did I get spiked? I said I feel so hungry still because he didn't let me order more and drank on an empty stomach. He tried to hook up but I said I won't have sex. I remember him jerking off to get himself out. So, I (20f) had a pretty rough childhood. My mother was kind of a pos and cheated on my dad all the time which led to their divorce when I was 2, and she got with the man she was having her latest affair with and it stuck. He came with two kids, a son and a younger daughter. When I was around 6, this older step brother, let's call him O (11) started to molest and rape me. He set up really weird sick and twisted games that all four of us, me, my brother, his sister and himself, would play, truth or dare type games. He was the oldest at 11 at this point, my brother G and step sister E were around 8 or 9 and I was the youngest at 6. He'd set G and E up together to go do naughty things, and himself with me. These "games" didn't last long, but he never let me out of his clutches. He even bragged about it to his friends when he was a few years older and they felt inclined to get in on the action, one even threatened me with a knife at one point when I was 8 or so. My mother is an awful person, she cares only for appearances and loves herself more than you cab imagine, I'm sure she only wanted children as future maids and cashcows, but for some reason she was particularly interested in living vicariously through me. I was quite the rough house tomboy as a child, and didn't care for typical girly things, when I was tearing up a tree or across a playground I was very shy and awkward and always avoided eyecontact and hid behind my massive poof of hair, my mother really didn't like this. She had always tried to brainwash me into being a charming, seductive feminine woman from a very young age, and seemed to punish me by throwing all the chores at me and verbally belittling me or even physically overpowering me from a very young age. My mother had witnessed O during one of his acts towards me. I was naked, had bruises and fresh bleeding scratches and was crying, she bust the door open while his mouth was suckering onto my chest at 8. She saw the scene, and closed her eyes and sighed at the floor, composed herself and said what she came to say, and left. I was gutted. I thought finally someone might help me, between the bullying at school and abuse at home I thought at least my mother would correct one of her children being "unsightly". In hindsight I suppose she put her marriage first and didn't want to cause any issues, but that was not the last time she'd catch him doing things to me, and she'd ignore them every time. There was even a point where O and one of his friends, let's call him A, same age, had a rivalry on who's sex toy I was, and would openly do things to me in front of the other to assert dominance and rile each other up. One of these times, O went home to tell my mother, at which she called me home and scolded me harshly for my behaviour. At the time I knew she wanted to say something but didn't, as I got older I realised it was "whore". I was 9 and A was 14. Now, amongst all of this, my brother was aware of what was going on, at the time I didn't think much of it other than it was terrifying to be home and I'd rather attempt to run away for the hundredth time, I thought it was normal and what I was meant for, to absorb the abuse and violence, but as I grew older I realised more and more about the world and realised it wasn't right, and I could chose to live with my dad. When my parents divorced we were 50/50 split custody, I'd be at my mom's for 2 weeks then 2 weeks at dad's. At 14 I simply decided one day to just ask to be picked up for my dad's again, no planning or packing, no plan in mind, just after being dropped off on my last day at my dad's for that week and asking "can you pick me up again after school? I don't want to go to moms". My mother threw a fit about it of course, she called up my dad spouting about how I was just being a spoiled brat and throwing a tantrum for not getting what I want, I never asked for anything ever even on birthdays or Christmas, so I have no idea what made up demands of mine she was referring to, but as the weeks passed by and I continued to stay at my dad, she got pretty furious. She'd cry to all our extended family members about how her dear daughter that she loved so much turned her back on her and left for her "richer" dad (neither parent was well off, but my mother blew most of her pay on jewellery, dresses, shoes and makeup) and turned my extended family against me. Now, somewhere when I was 14, just before leaving, I broke down to someone at school, I wasn't really friends with them, if anything they were more of a bully, and i told them about what my step brother and his friends had been doing to me, with the words I now knew to describe it, "rape" "molest" "grooming" and "sexual abuse". She had no reaction at the time, and didn't even seem to register it. A few months after I had moved out of my mother's, my anxiety disorder reared its ugly head, and I began being unable to even attend my highschool, and after being pretty much 100% absent for a year or so, police came knocking at my door. To give you a picture, on my brothers 18th birthday, he got a 3 tier home made cake, a slow roasted dinner that had been on for 12 hours, my dad, aunt and grandma sat at the table with him loudly congratulating him and celebrating his "first" beer, he was gifted a motorcycle and many presents. For my 18th birthday, the only one I was looking forward to, I got 5 minutes of attention when I opened everyone's gifts which was basically just sweets and chocolates, and then they all disappeared to clamour around my brother, G. I sobbed in my bedroom with my boyfriend, after a while the only family member I was holding out hope for, my grandma, came knocking at my door, I quickly composed myself and went to see her, at which she led me to the bathroom to tell me off for not giving my brother any attention. On my 18th birthday. Kinda lost it there lol and shouted at her. I was happy for him and congratulated him, but as I found out more, she was bad news. She'd send him texts talking about how he was special to her and she was so in love with him and they had sex, but she was still fucking her ex and 2 other guys and saying the same things to them, openly, in servers they shared. I was really worried for G and didn't want him to be heartbroken, and tried to warn him gently about not getting too in over his head, because he seemed to be taking all that she was saying to heart, and talking about her as if she was the one, when it's clear that she was just fooling around and looking for an easy bang sesh. G got very angry at me for daring to insinuate such a horrible thing about his sweetheart, and purely to hurt me, he told me he had covered for O and A when the police questioned them. I had completely forgotten about the police ever going over to question them, it didn't even occur to me that G would be part of that too, and here he was telling me that he told the police I was a liar and doing it for attention, the exact words my mother had been telling all of my extended family and turning them against me with. I had a big argument with my dad over it, G was my only chance at potentially getting justice for what they did, for salvaging my relationships with all my family who had disowned me, I only have my dad aunt and grandma, but my brother has everyone, everyone loves him in the family, and my own mother loves O more than she ever did me, he gets her love and affection, and all of it from the rest of the family, he's branded a poor victim of my manipulative vicious lying, while I'm the spoiled tantrum throwing brat who they are better off without. I wanted to leave around that time, but I stayed because I knew her useless husband and beloved two useless oldest sons would do nothing to help her. I sat in my room and listened to her vomit and cry and choke alone, I know they could all hear her too. But I was the one to go by her side, to wash the bucket, to change her sheets and clean the floor when she couldn't grab the bucket in time. I'm the one who sat her her side and held her as she sobbed. I'm the one who fed her when she was too weak to move. After I moved out she accredited all her "being looked after" and care to O and her husband. While i was arguing with my dad, I was crying pretty hard and asking him all these questions, "why do I have to forgive him? He didn't even try to apologise he just said it to hurt me and none of you care" "him telling the truth was the only way I could have had anything done to help me" "he protected my rapist and you're all just fine with it". Eventually, my dad said a line which really solidified to me, that no matter what I say or what G does, he will always be their priority. "He's my son, what do you want me to do?!?!". In that one sentence, I heard it. "He's my son, and you're not my daughter" "I'm willing to lose you but not him". I think it's been a year or so since that happened. I can't do it. Every time there has been an issue in the family I've been the one there. My aunties dog grooming business is falling behind because of her poor health? I work there for free. My nan almost dies from kidney failure? I'm there cuddling her and staying with her for months to do everything for her. My dad suddenly losing all his hearing in one ear and starts throwing up blood? I'm there, terrified, but doing my best to keep him alive until the ambulance comes. Every time my family had gone through a tough time, I've been there to patch it up. Every time they've gone through a rough time, I've begged G to please visit, help, stay a few days, at least see how their doing....but he'd rather stay at our mom's where he can play video games for 20 hours straight living rent free. I love my family so much...my dad, my aunt and my nan. But I can't handle it. It feels like every time I see them I'm breaking down a little more and more inside. I wanted to maybe give my dad the ultimatum of me or G, he can't chose both, but it feels like I already did in that argument and without even hesitating he chose G. I can't keep being around them, I can't make them love me or care about me, but I do for them, so deeply, and it hurts so much. I feel like I have to just shut up and suffer so they can all play happy family, but i can't take it.
