Who Are The Servants Of Light?
About Us: So, The Servants Of Light (or TSOL [tee-sol] for short) started out as another Destiny 2 clan made to give a few people a way to earn some extra rewards and group up easier. Over the past 5 years we have grown and evolved into so much more. Destiny is, of course, a big part of what we do and who we are, but I think that what makes TSOL special is everything else we get up to. From just talking to each other in the general chat, debating silly things like what counts as a sandwich all the way to all our events. We have fortnightly Game Nights, Movie Nights and a special raid night known as Raid Roulette. We also like to do bigger events throughout the year, the biggest of which is our end of year BONANZA! A huge gameshow style event where we like to dress up all fancy, announce the winners of our community voted awards and challenge you to various themed rounds with a prize on offer. We even have a yearly meetup for those so inclined towards in-person interaction.As for our general focuses for within Destiny, we do a little bit of everything. I would probably say we are a much more PvE leaning clan, we have teams going for clears on contest mode (and may have a space or two open for the next one if you are into that kind of thing and get along with us), we do GM’s and raids every season and aren’t scared off by legend difficulty activities. PvP wise, we have a few guardians who jump into things like trials regularly but for most of us PvP is an ‘as and when’ kind of activity, stacking 6 in iron banner is always fun though.No activity is mandatory and we really just want to play the game we love with people we like, in whatever form that takes. (NOTICE: If Gambit is your favourite gamemode then you will be judged for it but not penalised)The Testimonials

Last week my bf wanted to watch Godzilla with me and our friends and we both ended up getting sick so we postponed till the next following week, which is today.
We found out today that the Godzilla movie wasn’t showing up in theatres anymore and he told me that we could watch a different movie (forgot the name) and I just wasn’t into what it was about so I declined. He got upset and started raising his voice at me to check the summary and said “you just don’t like the change of plans”.
As we got home, he asked about the movie again and I said I didn’t want to watch it. He ended up getting mad saying that I should just come and spend time with him and his friends and that I didn’t have to be an asshole about it. I told him the movie “didn’t peak my interest” and it made him even more upset, leading him to say I don’t care about him and only think about myself, and that he’s going to start telling me he doesn’t wanna do things with me. We found out today that the Godzilla movie wasn’t showing up in theatres anymore and he told me that we could watch a different movie (forgot the name) and I just wasn’t into what it was about so I declined. He got upset and started raising his voice at me to check the summary and said “you just don’t like the change of plans”.
As we got home, he asked about the movie again and I said I didn’t want to watch it. He ended up getting mad saying that I should just come and spend time with him and his friends and that I didn’t have to be an asshole about it. I told him the movie “didn’t peak my interest” and it made him even more upset, leading him to say I don’t care about him and only think about myself, and that he’s going to start telling me he doesn’t wanna do things with me. hours later, i log into instagram as i had deleted it to focus on my mental health for a while, and i see that they unfollowed me and kicked me out of all the chats. i message Jane and i ask how are they going to do that when they were saying how much they wanted to fix things and how much they loved being friends with me. i told her that i wish them well and that i hope they do amazing things in their lives, but that i also hope that they grow more compassionate and never have to go through any of this.

FYI a new NHTSA recall has been posted for X567M built in April. Anticipated that ~2300 X5s will be involved built in April. It's what led to delivery stop on my X5 as well as others in the past weeks. You can probably check your VIN on the NHTSA site.
Front seat sensors may incorrectly detect latched vs unlatched. Anticipated that only 1% will be effected but will need to be inspected at the dealer. I'm sure you can unofficially test it at home per the PDF docs.

Hello GOG community, this is my 5th attempt at requesting a popular game known as The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild available only on the Nintendo Switch which released together on the 3rd of March 2017.
Let's start with a short summary of what the game is all about The land of Hyrule is in trouble and after a whole century of (100 years) sleeping deeply (I need that) the hero known as Link awakes without any of his memories to the land and Zelda from a variant of Ganon (Calamity Ganon). Using the abilities that he gains from the various shrines spread across the entire region using a important item known as the Sheikah Slate (discount IPad... pretty cool) which is obtained at the beginning of the game. After getting the Master Sword (obtained from the Great Deku Tree located in the Lost Woods) Link will be able to beat the threat that is Calamity Ganon itself
Features present in the game itself The game contains a ton of things ranging from hidden items such as heart containers (which gives the player more health) to certain mechanics such as the durability that item has before it breaks apart. The game features shrines which have puzzles inside for the player to complete (most of the don't for some reason). Other stuff include upgrading gear, ride horses and breed them , hunting and gathering, pet the dawg (very important feature), talking with a large number of npcs, etc.
Why I want this particular game Not much to say here other than the expansive the world that game is set in with the freedom of going wherever I would want to as it is not a linear game by any means except for perhaps the tutorial, the length of how long it would take to bea- no, 100% the game is pretty intense seeing as how you would have to collect , complete, explore and beat a ton of things (the 900 Korok seed will scar me for life) throughout the massive map that Breath of the Wild contains which might take roughly around 150 or so hours maybe a couple weeks as I only play games in the weekends that arrive. From what I have heard from people who played the guy , they have said that the second village is very hard to find and get to, this adds to my increased interest of playing the game seeing as how I like a challenge.
The part that everyone puts in their posts The only reason why I can't get it for myself would be due to how poor I am at the moment, and the fact that I'm studying to earn money. I'll try to pay back if it is needed after I'm able to get a job but that will that some time

My team mate, Steve, wants to record audio notes (quick) rather than typing out all his ideas (slow).
Enter: AudioPen
AudioPen supports Webhooks so on creation of a new voice note, I can send the original transcript AND the AI-generated summary to my automation platform or backend of choice.
I choose to send these Webhooks to a Make Scenario with the Custom Webhook module as the Trigger therein.
The output from that module then flows to a table in an Airtable Base using a Personal Access Token (issued within Airtable).
Steve also wants to keep a local copy of the original audio file he records in AudioPen (it is easy to download the .mp3 in the tool) so that he can upload it to Castmagic & use it in other ways.
Once Castmagic has done its, well, content magic (using AI) Steve can then grab the generated text — a 600 word blog post in our example today — and save it to another table in the Airtable Base which stores blog post ideas.
I've created a relation between the tables in the Base so that Steve can track which blog post is generated from which audio note.
There's a bit more automation to do to make this as simple as possible to record ideas AND generate a ton of content from them using AI but we are well on our way to NoCode / AI / Automation heaven...
I advise you to have a look at AudioPen and think about how you could speed up your workflows with it because after all, talking aloud about an idea is a heck of a lot faster than typing it out!

I had it tested and it said it was code P0497. On that initial test it said I failed my check engine, and I’m not emission ready. I changed the part that was required “Fuel tank pressure system” The light came back on two weeks later. I had it retested and now it said the same codes but that I also failed my ABS. Any reason why? Last night I filled up my gas and my car wouldn’t start. It wasn’t cranking like a dead battery. It sounded like it was about to turn over but wasn’t. A lady gave me a jump and it started. I’ve never had any issues with my starter being faulty. I had my battery tested. It’s fairly new not even a year old and they said it’s all good. I need help you guys I’m so lost. My car is having one issue after another & I just got it used from the dealership not even 3 years ago. It’s a 2016 Honda HR-V I changed some fuses that read bad the other day because I lose some function in my car. Over headlights, windows, locks wouldn’t work unless car was on. Key fob wouldn’t lock and unlock car. It all works now with the changed fuel. Could this have any effect on what’s currently happening? |

So all my ties are officially cut from my former employer. As what everyone suggested, I did try reaching out to a lawyer. Unfortunately, my local ones charged almost 500 for a 30 minute consultation. And that is almost half of what I earn every two weeks from unemployment. I didn’t want to lose that large chunk.
So I tried google searching for lawyers that offered free consultation. I reached out to one, where they asked for a brief summary. They eventually got back to me saying they can’t offer a free consultation, but gave me contact info for another place to contact.
Unfortunately, I got busy between applying for the government funding program for school, and other life stuff, that I didn’t focus on contacting them right away.
I don’t know if my former employer saw my Reddit post, because they reached out far sooner than I expected. They weren’t suppose to get a hold of until the end of April. Instead, HR reached out on the last Friday of March. They left a voicemail and were wondering if I’d be able to return by April 1st or 8th, and asked for me to call them back by the Wednesday at the latest. HR then sent me a email almost right away after calling basically repeating what they left in the voicemail.
I didn’t call them back. I figured I’d let them sweat about it for the weekend, with the intention of calling by the Monday.
I planed to call late Monday, but HR called twice in the morning and emailed again. So I called HR back, and I had someone where there listening in as a witness, as well as recorded the conversation. I told HR I wasn’t coming back. They stammered when they heard that. Doing a lot of “Um, ah, uh.” Before finally saying “Congratulations.” Me and the other person with me looked at each other wondering why they said congratulations for quitting. HR asked me what was doing, I just said I was going to school.
My one theory is maybe they laid me off as punishment, and would think I’d be more than willing to come back after a few months, and me saying no was not what they expected. If that is the case, it is fun knowing they shot themselves in the foot. The other reason why I think that, is I went to one of my other former employers stores, to talk to a good and very close friend of mine. They said management was recently going to them because they knew how close we are, asking them “Have you heard from OP. What is he doing. Do you know what he is going to school for.”
They said they didn’t know. Which was the truth, since we hadn't seen each other in close to a month, and they felt it was none of their business.
I have thought back on everything, on whether I could have done things better. But I think everything worked out for the best. Under Ontario law, from what I read, and they laid me off in retaliation and claiming a slow winter, I would have legal recourse if no one else in the company is laid off. I did hear from a few sources that there were a few lay offs.
And I did have the right to refuse the lay off when they first told me, where I could have said either I keep working, or you fire me. So all my ties are officially cut from my former employer. As what everyone suggested, I did try reaching out to a lawyer. Unfortunately, my local ones charged almost 500 for a 30 minute consultation. And that is almost half of what I earn every two weeks from unemployment. I didn’t want to lose that large chunk.
So I tried google searching for lawyers that offered free consultation. I reached out to one, where they asked for a brief summary. They eventually got back to me saying they can’t offer a free consultation, but gave me contact info for another place to contact.
Unfortunately, I got busy between applying for the government funding program for school, and other life stuff, that I didn’t focus on contacting them right away.
I don’t know if my former employer saw my Reddit post, because they reached out far sooner than I expected. They weren’t suppose to get a hold of until the end of April. Instead, HR reached out on the last Friday of March. They left a voicemail and were wondering if I’d be able to return by April 1st or 8th, and asked for me to call them back by the Wednesday at the latest. HR then sent me a email almost right away after calling basically repeating what they left in the voicemail.
I didn’t call them back. I figured I’d let them sweat about it for the weekend, with the intention of calling by the Monday.
I planed to call late Monday, but HR called twice in the morning and emailed again. So I called HR back, and I had someone where there listening in as a witness, as well as recorded the conversation. I told HR I wasn’t coming back. They stammered when they heard that. Doing a lot of “Um, ah, uh.” Before finally saying “Congratulations.” Me and the other person with me looked at each other wondering why they said congratulations for quitting. HR asked me what was doing, I just said I was going to school.
My one theory is maybe they laid me off as punishment, and would think I’d be more than willing to come back after a few months, and me saying no was not what they expected. If that is the case, it is fun knowing they shot themselves in the foot. The other reason why I think that, is I went to one of my other former employers stores, to talk to a good and very close friend of mine. They said management was recently going to them because they knew how close we are, asking them “Have you heard from OP. What is he doing. Do you know what he is going to school for.”
They said they didn’t know. Which was the truth, since we hadn't seen each other in close to a month, and they felt it was none of their business.
I have thought back on everything, on whether I could have done things better. But I think everything worked out for the best. Under Ontario law, from what I read, and they laid me off in retaliation and claiming a slow winter, I would have legal recourse if no one else in the company is laid off. I did hear from a few sources that there were a few lay offs.
And I did have the right to refuse the lay off when they first told me, where I could have said either I keep working, or you fire me. Environmental / Tileset Artist:
- For the demo, we will have one playable island that will consist of some ocean, beach, open areas, cave, and a jungle area. We don't need to create full tilesets for all of these, but portions for each to complete the demo. There will be one intact buildings, some ruins, a yacht, a small boat, some ingredient harvesting resources, and environmental items (trees, plants, flowers) that will need to be designed for the overworld. Lastly, we'd need a battle scene backdrop for each zone.
- If the demo goes well and we go beyond demo, we'll have a big world with a range of environments to create. From icy regions to volcanoes, jungles to plains, beaches to swamps, mountains to crystal caverns, and desert to name a some environs. Each environment will need battle background designs and overworld tile design. In addition, there be quite a few buildings with unique styles to match the three primary regions the archipelago is divided into which have distinct personalities due to the cultural influences of each. Other features include bridges, boats, vehicles, shrines, arenas, building appliances, etc. these features are intended to have a semi-futuristic feel and alternative technological advances from the real world.
- Design will include menus for the game menu, pause, battle scenes, inventory, maps, monster party tab, dex, guides/quick references, game mechanic pages, upgrade screens, etc… The desired vibe includes a sharp, clean look speaking to futuristic technology such as AI and nanotechnology. We want the UI to feel fresh within the genre. Most importantly, info should be shown in such a way to feel natural and easily accessible, providing a seamless experience for players. A monster tamer battle relies on heavily on providing players information to make informed decisions. This also includes iconography design. For the demo we can work together to focus on critical menus and reuse menus as needed. If the game goes beyond demo we can then work on further individualizing menus if appropriate. It is nice to have some consistency between menus so may not be necessary.
Briefly:
- The dev team is working away on fleshing out character and monster designs and starting some basic animation work. (We have a full list of monsters for the game, working on fleshing out some of the evolutionary lines so they can be incorporated in game)
- We have placeholder levels designed or nearly designed for the demo using temporary pixel art tile set assets. Would love to replace those with fresh 2D tilesets for the demo.
- We have a game design document available upon request that lists out major mechanics of the game in some serious detail. The game lore and storyline first draft is complete and being refined by the writers.
- We use discord to house our internal team coordination. Works great and meetings are via discord.

Welcome to our fifth discussion of Leviathan Wakes. Hold onto your cool detective hats or your environment suits, because we finally get some answers to our mystery! This week, we will discuss Chapters 34-40. The Marginalia post is here. You can find the Schedule here.
The discussion questions are below. One note - this is a very popular book series and TV show, but please keep in mind that not everyone has read or watched already, so be mindful not to include anything that could be a hint or a spoiler! Please mark spoilers not related to this section of the book using the format > ! Spoiler text here !< (without any spaces between the characters themselves or between the characters and the first and last words).

Chapter Summaries:
Chapter 34 - Miller: Detective Miller and the crew of the Roci board the hidden ship (the one that captured the crew of the Scopuli before destroying it), wearing environment suits because the ship has no atmosphere - someone left the doors open. They stick together at first as they move through the ship, discovering signs of a struggle, zombie vomit, and twelve torpedo tubes big enough to destroy capital ships like the Donnager or the Canterbury. Miller uses his detective skills to determine that everyone but Julie retreated to engineering. Once there, they discover a truly grisly sight: layers of human flesh and bones are sort of fused around the reactor, which has been shut down. Naomi and Holden gasp in shock and disgust, Miller turns on his cop brain to suppress emotion and view it as a crime scene, and Amos seems… calm and able to ignore the gore. The team splits up to look for more clues.
Amos stays in engineering to start up the computers and get the reactor back online. Naomi works on the ops deck to run diagnostics. Miller and Holden head to the bridge, which wasn’t affected by the fighting onboard. Miller reviews the internal feeds and finds footage showing the captured Scopuli crew being led onto the ship, stripped, and put in restraints. Julie fights back viciously but is knocked unconscious and stuffed in a locker with a jumpsuit (which is where we met her in the prologue). The crew is left in the galley for 132 hours before they decide to make a stand, but it is quickly suppressed. One of the crew is thrown out an airlock and the others are heavily restrained as they scream and cry. Just as Miller gets to the first appearance of a vomit zombie (at hour 160 of footage), Amos yells that he’s been exposed to some radiation because the human flesh blob had damaged the reactor shielding. He decides to keep working while Alex monitors his health status from the Roci.
Then Holden calls Miller over to view one of the last feeds Julie accessed. It’s a corporate presentation video created for a man named Dresden and the board of Protogen. It features a man Miller dubs “the sociopath” because of his cold, practiced smile…and because of the content. The sociopath tells the board (and us) the history of scientific discovery on Phoebe, which was thought to just be a moon and a source of water, but became a research station when a survey found complex silicon structures in the ice. Protogen was tasked with investigating and discovered that Phoebe is not a moon but evidence of a galactic biosphere: it is an alien weapon sent towards Earth 2 ⅓ billion years ago, which never made it because of orbital mechanics. Protogen has discovered that this weapon is not alive per se; rather, it is something they’ve termed the “protomolecule” which has the ability to maintain structure while replicating other systems and manipulating them at scalable rates. Of course, they alerted the proper authorities and made sure… just kidding, they’ve secretly been doing tests. The sociopath believes that whoever controls the protomolecule will gain control of all political and economic power going forward. Chillingly, the sociopath urges them to pursue large-scale testing to understand the protomolecule and its human applications. That large-scale testing is Eros.
TL;DR - Julie found evidence that Protogen has discovered an alien weapon, branded it the “protomolecule”, and secretly tested it on the people of Eros (and probably other smaller tests). The entire war has just been a distraction.
Chapter 35 - Holden: Naomi explains that most of the messages on the comm logs have been coded, but the last one is in plain text: the captain informed Thoth Station that the ship was contaminated, everyone was about to die, and the “materials” had been secured. He also planned to send vector data so they could find the ship. The Roci crew put two and alien-symbol-for-two together: they figure out that the captain has locked protomolecule samples in his safe. They also decide that the tightbeam messages were being sent to a secret research station Protogen was using to monitor the Eros experiment. Even though the fact “Naomi is the best” is a proven concept on par with “space is cold”, she is NOT able to open the captain’s safe, so they decide to cut it out of the wall and bring it with them on the Roci. They also scuttle the ship so no one can a) recover the stealth technology and alien weapons, or b) get exposed to the protomolecule-human soup inside. (Amos would have preferred to hack the frozen dead body goo off the reactor with a chainsaw and salvage such an impressive and expensive ship, which is… another way to go.)
It’s clear that someone else with stealth tech is searching actively for this ship, but the Roci won’t see them coming so they decide to get the hell out of Dodge. Naomi jokes that their options include turning the safe over to the OPA (they’d be heroes), selling out to Mars (they’d be rich), or starting their own biotech firm (just kidding, that’s evil). When Miller checks in with Holden about a decision on where to go next, he drops a figurative bomb on him regarding actual bombs in the news. Since Holden did his best Edward Snowden impersonation and leaked the data that the mystery ships are from Earth, Mars asked a few too many questions and in response, Earth has blown up a whole bunch of Martian ships and destroyed the Deimos deep radar station. Miller ruefully gives Holden credit for sticking to his guns about his belief in “free information”. He also points out that Holden’s principles make him responsible for all those deaths and the destruction of the Earth-Mars Coalition… and possibly the universe as they know it.
Chapter 36 - Miller: The war between Mars and the Belt seems like no big deal now that Earth and Mars are fighting. Miller watches the news feeds as the conflict turns into a blockade, and he realizes he is steeling himself for an announcement of a planetary attack on Earth or Mars, but it never comes. He and Amos deal with the stress by having beer for breakfast.
Miller meets up with Holden in the med bay for their routine blood flushes and cancer treatments, and they reopen their debate about what to do with the data files and who is to blame for the war(s).
Chapter 37 - Holden: The crew of the Roci is taking a break from doom scrolling to cook fake space lasagna for dinner and bond over the food and conversation. As Holden watches the crew laugh at Amos’s belches and Miller’s wild story about cheese smuggling, he reflects that they represent all three prongs of the conflict: Naomi and Miller are Belters, Amos and he are from Earth, and Alex is from Mars. Yet they’re friends, and Holden knows this is what they have to fight for. The cheese smuggling makes no sense to Amos (why cheese and not drugs?), and Naomi points out that this illustrates how little people from the inner planets understand Belters. Earthers have free air and easy access to resources, while Belters know everything that sustains life is rare and their access to it is fragile. And this is why Protogen didn’t blink an eye before killing 1.5 million Belters on Eros: they’re “other”. Then Alex points out that this doesn’t make sense; it's a risky and unnecessarily complicated way to kill people just to satisfy prejudices. It becomes clear that Eros isn’t a hate crime, it’s a vacuum-sealed test tube to let the protomolecule learn how to do its job better by giving it access to a huge amount of biomass. The early transformations looked incomplete, as if it didn’t know how to work with human flesh yet, so Protogen was giving it a chance to train. Holden wants to know where they would even find enough people who would support an evil operation like this, and Miller promises to ask Dresden (the Protogen board member mentioned in the video) when they meet him. Something tells me that conversation won’t go well.
As the Roci approaches Tycho station, Holden and Miller take in the view of the Nauvoo, the partially constructed Mormon generation ship. When Miller says the Mormans may be in for a long and lonely death if they don’t find a habitable planet, Holden notes that this is the good kind of galactic exploration humans can accomplish (the protomolecule being the bad kind). Miller then asks Holden why he trusts Fred, and Holden explains that in addition to being the only person who hasn’t tried to jail them or blow them up since all this began, Fred is “real OPA”: he’s a politician and not part of the war-mongering factions who think they can survive indefinitely without the inner planets. When Miller points out that there isn’t a political solution to Protogen, Holden insists Fred has other skills, too. Later, Fred reads through all the information on the protomolecule and is incredulous that anyone could think to do this. Miller assures him that genocide is an old-school crime and it’s important that they stop it. Holden offers up the location of the observation station in exchange for enough OPA fighters to take down Protogen, and the right to retain custody of the safe and its contents. Fred agrees only after Holden points out that no one else can be trusted to do the right thing with a secret this big. Plus, he says Fred already knows what Holden will do with it.
Chapter 38 - Miller: It feels strange to Miller to explore the wide open spaces of Tycho Station, the fanciest place he has ever set foot on. He notices Naomi working on her hand terminal and letting her food get cold; she is too preoccupied with trying to figure out the location of the station to enjoy the amenities. As they talk, Miller is reminded of Havelock’s advice to just let go when he got pulled off a case, which jogs his memory that Havelock actually works for Protogen! (I’m surprised he didn’t get there faster; maybe everyone had a point that he was sort of a washed up detective.) He rushes off to make contact with his old buddy - probably his last real partner ever - in an encrypted drop site of a Ganymede server cluster. As he waits for a response, Miller is amused to realize he has started thinking like Holden: he feels like someone should warn the Mormans that they could potentially run into the alien creators of the protomolecule who may want to kill them. Havelock comes through, passing along the coordinates to a “very scary deep research and development lab” and asking Miller tobe discreet never contact him again so he doesn’t get killed for betraying his employer. Miller sends him an encrypted warning to quit his job ASAP and not take postings at any black ops sites, before saying goodbye for the last time to the only person that still respected him as a cop. (I may or may not be sniffling a bit at this.)
Miller rounds up Naomi and Holden so they can bring Fred the coordinates. In Fred’s office, Miller starts lecturing him about the serious nature of the mission and the need to have a solid plan with adequate firepower, not the usual OPA shenanigans. Everyone’s a little confused until they realize that Miller doesn’t know that Fred is “the butcher of Anderson Station” and a former Colonel in the Earth Navy. Fred assures Miller he’s no amateur and will plan ahead. Miller then insists that he get to come along for the assault on Thoth Station. Eight days later, the plan is set in motion and Miller begins packing his meager belongings into a very small bag, figuring he’ll never see the Roci again. Even if he makes it off Thoth alive, he’ll have to figure out a way to make money and improvise a life plan of some sort. He tries to thank Holden and say goodbye, but the Roci’s captain interrupts Miller to ask where they’ll all meet up after the mission is complete. Miller is confused at first, then overcome with emotion when he realizes Holden considers Miller part of the crew! I’m not crying, you’re crying. Actually, it’s Miller who is weeping. But he pulls himself together so he can head to the assault ship.
Chapter 39 - Holden: The Rocinante needs to sneak up on Thoth Station, so they are pretending to be a loose cargo container that broke off the Guy Molinari (the Belter ship carrying the assault team, which is pretending to be a cargo ship). They fly with everything shut down so that it’s more convincing, hoping they can get close enough to the station to do some damage before Thoth starts firing back. As they approach and are able to reboot everything needed for battle, a stealth ship is spied hanging out near Thoth Station. Then, suddenly it becomes clear that there are two small stealth ships, which will be much harder to fight off. Everyone does their jobs efficiently on the Roci, but in the ensuing battle with the stealth ships, they start to take some damage. First, the Roci is hit by a gauss cannon that goes straight through the machine shop and galley. Holden mourns his coffee maker. Amos notices a leak in the maneuvering thrusters and heads to fix it between the inner and outer hulls, which isn’t an ideal place to be floating around during a battle. This stresses Naomi out, but Holden orders everyone to stay focused. They are able to take out one of the stealth ships, but the other gets close enough to do some impressive damage to the Roci. There is major hull damage as well as loss of four maneuvering thrusters, a PDC, their O2 storage, and the crew airlock. Alex is about to destroy the second stealth ship when the Roci’s point defense cannons (PDCs) detonate an enemy warhead up close. It knocks everyone out, punches holes throughout the Roci (narrowly missing Naomi), dislodges equipment, and fills the ship with debris. Holden marvels that they are alive at all, and Alex points out that is only because the ship’s anti-spalling webbing eliminates shrapnel. They make contact with Fred, who says he’ll find them a place to land, and the Guy Molinari prepares for the assault on Thoth Station. It’s Miller’s turn to shine!
Chapter 40 - Miller: On the Guy Molinari, Miller is talking to a Belter kid named Diogo as they wait for the assault to start. Miller realizes that while he has fancy Martian armor from the Roci and experience with gunfights in station corridors, he is surrounded by inexperienced young Belters with borrowed gear, and he will likely have to watch dozens of them die during the battle. But Diogo isn’t worried; he is confident and eager to get started. Fred points out that they know about Eros, but Dresden insists no one knows what they did there, and there won’t be a better bargaining position for Fred when Earth sends its battleships. Chapter Summaries:
Chapter 34 - Miller: Detective Miller and the crew of the Roci board the hidden ship (the one that captured the crew of the Scopuli before destroying it), wearing environment suits because the ship has no atmosphere - someone left the doors open. They stick together at first as they move through the ship, discovering signs of a struggle, zombie vomit, and twelve torpedo tubes big enough to destroy capital ships like the Donnager or the Canterbury. Miller uses his detective skills to determine that everyone but Julie retreated to engineering. Once there, they discover a truly grisly sight: layers of human flesh and bones are sort of fused around the reactor, which has been shut down. Naomi and Holden gasp in shock and disgust, Miller turns on his cop brain to suppress emotion and view it as a crime scene, and Amos seems… calm and able to ignore the gore. The team splits up to look for more clues.
Amos stays in engineering to start up the computers and get the reactor back online. Naomi works on the ops deck to run diagnostics. Miller and Holden head to the bridge, which wasn’t affected by the fighting onboard. Miller reviews the internal feeds and finds footage showing the captured Scopuli crew being led onto the ship, stripped, and put in restraints. Julie fights back viciously but is knocked unconscious and stuffed in a locker with a jumpsuit (which is where we met her in the prologue). The crew is left in the galley for 132 hours before they decide to make a stand, but it is quickly suppressed. One of the crew is thrown out an airlock and the others are heavily restrained as they scream and cry. Just as Miller gets to the first appearance of a vomit zombie (at hour 160 of footage), Amos yells that he’s been exposed to some radiation because the human flesh blob had damaged the reactor shielding. He decides to keep working while Alex monitors his health status from the Roci.
Then Holden calls Miller over to view one of the last feeds Julie accessed. It’s a corporate presentation video created for a man named Dresden and the board of Protogen. It features a man Miller dubs “the sociopath” because of his cold, practiced smile…and because of the content. The sociopath tells the board (and us) the history of scientific discovery on Phoebe, which was thought to just be a moon and a source of water, but became a research station when a survey found complex silicon structures in the ice. Protogen was tasked with investigating and discovered that Phoebe is not a moon but evidence of a galactic biosphere: it is an alien weapon sent towards Earth 2 ⅓ billion years ago, which never made it because of orbital mechanics. Protogen has discovered that this weapon is not alive per se; rather, it is something they’ve termed the “protomolecule” which has the ability to maintain structure while replicating other systems and manipulating them at scalable rates. Of course, they alerted the proper authorities and made sure… just kidding, they’ve secretly been doing tests. The sociopath believes that whoever controls the protomolecule will gain control of all political and economic power going forward. Chillingly, the sociopath urges them to pursue large-scale testing to understand the protomolecule and its human applications. That large-scale testing is Eros.
TL;DR - Julie found evidence that Protogen has discovered an alien weapon, branded it the “protomolecule”, and secretly tested it on the people of Eros (and probably other smaller tests). The entire war has just been a distraction.
Chapter 35 - Holden: Naomi explains that most of the messages on the comm logs have been coded, but the last one is in plain text: the captain informed Thoth Station that the ship was contaminated, everyone was about to die, and the “materials” had been secured. He also planned to send vector data so they could find the ship. The Roci crew put two and alien-symbol-for-two together: they figure out that the captain has locked protomolecule samples in his safe. They also decide that the tightbeam messages were being sent to a secret research station Protogen was using to monitor the Eros experiment. Even though the fact “Naomi is the best” is a proven concept on par with “space is cold”, she is NOT able to open the captain’s safe, so they decide to cut it out of the wall and bring it with them on the Roci. They also scuttle the ship so no one can a) recover the stealth technology and alien weapons, or b) get exposed to the protomolecule-human soup inside. (Amos would have preferred to hack the frozen dead body goo off the reactor with a chainsaw and salvage such an impressive and expensive ship, which is… another way to go.)
It’s clear that someone else with stealth tech is searching actively for this ship, but the Roci won’t see them coming so they decide to get the hell out of Dodge. Naomi jokes that their options include turning the safe over to the OPA (they’d be heroes), selling out to Mars (they’d be rich), or starting their own biotech firm (just kidding, that’s evil). When Miller checks in with Holden about a decision on where to go next, he drops a figurative bomb on him regarding actual bombs in the news. Since Holden did his best Edward Snowden impersonation and leaked the data that the mystery ships are from Earth, Mars asked a few too many questions and in response, Earth has blown up a whole bunch of Martian ships and destroyed the Deimos deep radar station. Miller ruefully gives Holden credit for sticking to his guns about his belief in “free information”. He also points out that Holden’s principles make him responsible for all those deaths and the destruction of the Earth-Mars Coalition… and possibly the universe as they know it.
Chapter 36 - Miller: The war between Mars and the Belt seems like no big deal now that Earth and Mars are fighting. Miller watches the news feeds as the conflict turns into a blockade, and he realizes he is steeling himself for an announcement of a planetary attack on Earth or Mars, but it never comes. He and Amos deal with the stress by having beer for breakfast.
Miller meets up with Holden in the med bay for their routine blood flushes and cancer treatments, and they reopen their debate about what to do with the data files and who is to blame for the war(s).
- Holden’s position: Broadcast everything to everyone! (I know, I know, so out of character, right?) People will understand that they’ve been set up and will turn their wrath on Protogen instead of each other. Also, these are ancient conflicts. The Belt has always hated Mars and the inner planets in general. Mars and Earth have always had animosities secretly brewing and they do military training for the inevitable showdown. Or as Miller puts it, “Not my powder keg; I just brought the match.”
- Miller’s position: Stop and consider what people will do if they hear an Earth company did this. Every other data leak has been used as an excuse to shoot at someone the other side doesn’t like. Also, people suck. They aren’t going to hold hands and sing Kumbaya just because Protogen is the bad guy. They’ll move on to shooting each other so they can be the ones to control the protomolecule. Or as Holden puts it, “Maybe Protogen is a little right. People are too dumb to be trusted with big information so we should keep hard, scary stuff a big secret. That’ll totally work out.”
Chapter 37 - Holden: The crew of the Roci is taking a break from doom scrolling to cook fake space lasagna for dinner and bond over the food and conversation. As Holden watches the crew laugh at Amos’s belches and Miller’s wild story about cheese smuggling, he reflects that they represent all three prongs of the conflict: Naomi and Miller are Belters, Amos and he are from Earth, and Alex is from Mars. Yet they’re friends, and Holden knows this is what they have to fight for. The cheese smuggling makes no sense to Amos (why cheese and not drugs?), and Naomi points out that this illustrates how little people from the inner planets understand Belters. Earthers have free air and easy access to resources, while Belters know everything that sustains life is rare and their access to it is fragile. And this is why Protogen didn’t blink an eye before killing 1.5 million Belters on Eros: they’re “other”. Then Alex points out that this doesn’t make sense; it's a risky and unnecessarily complicated way to kill people just to satisfy prejudices. It becomes clear that Eros isn’t a hate crime, it’s a vacuum-sealed test tube to let the protomolecule learn how to do its job better by giving it access to a huge amount of biomass. The early transformations looked incomplete, as if it didn’t know how to work with human flesh yet, so Protogen was giving it a chance to train. Holden wants to know where they would even find enough people who would support an evil operation like this, and Miller promises to ask Dresden (the Protogen board member mentioned in the video) when they meet him. Something tells me that conversation won’t go well.
As the Roci approaches Tycho station, Holden and Miller take in the view of the Nauvoo, the partially constructed Mormon generation ship. When Miller says the Mormans may be in for a long and lonely death if they don’t find a habitable planet, Holden notes that this is the good kind of galactic exploration humans can accomplish (the protomolecule being the bad kind). Miller then asks Holden why he trusts Fred, and Holden explains that in addition to being the only person who hasn’t tried to jail them or blow them up since all this began, Fred is “real OPA”: he’s a politician and not part of the war-mongering factions who think they can survive indefinitely without the inner planets. When Miller points out that there isn’t a political solution to Protogen, Holden insists Fred has other skills, too. Later, Fred reads through all the information on the protomolecule and is incredulous that anyone could think to do this. Miller assures him that genocide is an old-school crime and it’s important that they stop it. Holden offers up the location of the observation station in exchange for enough OPA fighters to take down Protogen, and the right to retain custody of the safe and its contents. Fred agrees only after Holden points out that no one else can be trusted to do the right thing with a secret this big. Plus, he says Fred already knows what Holden will do with it.
Chapter 38 - Miller: It feels strange to Miller to explore the wide open spaces of Tycho Station, the fanciest place he has ever set foot on. He notices Naomi working on her hand terminal and letting her food get cold; she is too preoccupied with trying to figure out the location of the station to enjoy the amenities. As they talk, Miller is reminded of Havelock’s advice to just let go when he got pulled off a case, which jogs his memory that Havelock actually works for Protogen! (I’m surprised he didn’t get there faster; maybe everyone had a point that he was sort of a washed up detective.) He rushes off to make contact with his old buddy - probably his last real partner ever - in an encrypted drop site of a Ganymede server cluster. As he waits for a response, Miller is amused to realize he has started thinking like Holden: he feels like someone should warn the Mormans that they could potentially run into the alien creators of the protomolecule who may want to kill them. Havelock comes through, passing along the coordinates to a “very scary deep research and development lab” and asking Miller to
Miller rounds up Naomi and Holden so they can bring Fred the coordinates. In Fred’s office, Miller starts lecturing him about the serious nature of the mission and the need to have a solid plan with adequate firepower, not the usual OPA shenanigans. Everyone’s a little confused until they realize that Miller doesn’t know that Fred is “the butcher of Anderson Station” and a former Colonel in the Earth Navy. Fred assures Miller he’s no amateur and will plan ahead. Miller then insists that he get to come along for the assault on Thoth Station. Eight days later, the plan is set in motion and Miller begins packing his meager belongings into a very small bag, figuring he’ll never see the Roci again. Even if he makes it off Thoth alive, he’ll have to figure out a way to make money and improvise a life plan of some sort. He tries to thank Holden and say goodbye, but the Roci’s captain interrupts Miller to ask where they’ll all meet up after the mission is complete. Miller is confused at first, then overcome with emotion when he realizes Holden considers Miller part of the crew! I’m not crying, you’re crying. Actually, it’s Miller who is weeping. But he pulls himself together so he can head to the assault ship.
Chapter 39 - Holden: The Rocinante needs to sneak up on Thoth Station, so they are pretending to be a loose cargo container that broke off the Guy Molinari (the Belter ship carrying the assault team, which is pretending to be a cargo ship). They fly with everything shut down so that it’s more convincing, hoping they can get close enough to the station to do some damage before Thoth starts firing back. As they approach and are able to reboot everything needed for battle, a stealth ship is spied hanging out near Thoth Station. Then, suddenly it becomes clear that there are two small stealth ships, which will be much harder to fight off. Everyone does their jobs efficiently on the Roci, but in the ensuing battle with the stealth ships, they start to take some damage. First, the Roci is hit by a gauss cannon that goes straight through the machine shop and galley. Holden mourns his coffee maker. Amos notices a leak in the maneuvering thrusters and heads to fix it between the inner and outer hulls, which isn’t an ideal place to be floating around during a battle. This stresses Naomi out, but Holden orders everyone to stay focused. They are able to take out one of the stealth ships, but the other gets close enough to do some impressive damage to the Roci. There is major hull damage as well as loss of four maneuvering thrusters, a PDC, their O2 storage, and the crew airlock. Alex is about to destroy the second stealth ship when the Roci’s point defense cannons (PDCs) detonate an enemy warhead up close. It knocks everyone out, punches holes throughout the Roci (narrowly missing Naomi), dislodges equipment, and fills the ship with debris. Holden marvels that they are alive at all, and Alex points out that is only because the ship’s anti-spalling webbing eliminates shrapnel. They make contact with Fred, who says he’ll find them a place to land, and the Guy Molinari prepares for the assault on Thoth Station. It’s Miller’s turn to shine!

Hi all, I am looking to restructure the credit cards I currently have to maximize my rewards. I think my current arrangement is a bit complicated. Currently I put all my expenses on credit cards and then fully pay them off each month. My partner and I are also in the process of combining finances, so I want a simpler arrangement for us. The only credit card he has is the Apple Card, which he will keep separate, so all the cards listed below are in my name. Currently he is an authorized user on the Amex Platinum and I would add him to other cards to cover the majority of our joint expenses (dining, groceries, travel, entertainment). With all our joint expenses currently going on the Amex Platinum, we are only earning 1x points on most of our purchases, hence why I want to change up our arrangement. I do use all of the Platinum credits making my annual fee effectively $0, and we want airport lounge access, so I would like to keep the Platinum. I would also keep my Apple Card separate as I use the ACMI program for my phone. What I was thinking is keeping the Platinum, Prime, and SavorOne. A friends computer is actually acting weird. He has 2 games he really only plays Football Manager 2022 and Sims 4, every now and then the games crash with the error IRQ not Less or Equals.
Anyway, Things I have done/tried
Ran Memtest86 overnight - No issues, and a nice Pass
Ran Prim95 for 5 hours, again no issues at all.
Ran Heavin benchmark over 10 times, no issues. Ran Furmark for 3 hours, no Issues. Bios updated to latest update
Took the GPU out and gave it to my son to use on his games and his PC, after 12 hours no issue. Swapped the RAM with my Sons PC and again no issues with my son using it.
I am unsure where else to look for this issue. I have upgraded him from Windows 10 -> 11 and the issue persists.
Crashes only happen during gaming. and again not every time.
Sometimes they can go days/weeks with 0 crashes on Sims, then play it once and crashes 6 times in a row,
Same thing with Football Manager
The only thing I can think off is the GPU needs 650w, and its only a 550w PSU installed, but I expect that to crash the whole PC as in I.E. Turn off, as I have had an issue like that before.
Anyone have any ideas what to try? Event Viewer is as useless as a chocolate teapot in this instance, and any Minidumps point to kernel.

As implied by the post title, this is an ongoing campaign (we are 12 sessions in at the time of this post). Due to some irl commitments weve recently dropped a player and are looking to replace them.
As the title suggests, this is a roleplay focused mystery/lore driven campaign. Expect an overreaching plot with ample secrets to uncover, conspiracies to unravel and eldritch truths to unearth. The first word of the password is "Doth". On the same level of importance or more important even be that the players preference, there is a variety of subplots to engage with, from small and goofy and random to ones rivaling the main story arc in complexity and variance. Among these, individual character story arcs play a leading role, at times seamlessly intertwined with the current focus of the party, at times separate and independent.
As was already mentioned and is further described below, this is a roleplay focused campaign and a roleplay heavy game. This means that roleplay exists as a unifying concept for all other aspects of the game including exploration, combat, and puzzles. That said DnD is only DnD with all three of its main pillars intact and this campaign is no exception in that regard. I very much enjoy the mechanical side of the game as well besides roleplay and so things like multiphase boss fights and custom magic items are definitely on the table.
I would describe my DMing style as driven, realistic, and involved but also very conscious about player agency and collaborative storytelling as core values that make TTRPGs so popular and unique. I spend a lot of time ensuring the worlds I create and the stories I want to tell feel alive. From hand-picked music, to fully voiced NPCs and scenic descriptions designed to breathe life into the campaign setting I daresay my games rival in quality those of the professional DMs that charge for each session.
There is a drawback to this all however. Second word of the password is "thy". I expect a lot from my players as well. Writing a story in DnD is not a one person job. It takes a collective effort of the entire group to create something truly unique, something that one can be proud while looking forward to each session. Unwinding and letting off steam means something else for everyone. For me it means losing myself in the creative process of roleplaying an NPC or describing a scene, watching my players masterfully portray their own characters or having the party derail my plans in an awesome unforeseen and unexpectedly enriching way. If you find yourself in any of what I just described than this may be a game for you. If you don’t, that’s fine. This is definitely not a game for everyone.
When it comes to setting of the campaign in the world of Faerun I have once again made a somewhat traditional pick and decided to place the onset of the game onto the Sword Coast, more precisely into the city of Waterdeep. If one of the key upsides of Forgotten Realms is diversity of content, Waterdeep is one of the best representations of this. Being the largest settlement on the known Faerun, Waterdeep offers nigh limitless options in terms of main story arc genre, character creation and character backstory implementation. It has everything every large TTRPG settlement ought to have (fickle upper class, enigmatic factions, quaint taverns and extravagant nightclubs, always in bad mood city watch, a castle and a harbor) as well as few pretty original ideas such as colossal definitely not alive statues, a city council where even its members don’t know each other’s identity and a massive dungeon right underneath the city where you can literally fall right from a tavern taproom.
In case you are wondering, while this campagn takes place primarily in the city of Waterdeep itself, there is nothing stopping the players from exploring past the city if they so choose. The final word of the password is "crack?". Different parts of the main plot and various subplots can and will encourage the party to explore Waterdeep environs and sometimes even further.

PS: As a part of the questionnaire, you will be asked to submit a short piece of your narrative writing in a form of a google doc link (not a custom piece of writing, any relevant past one you have will do). Maybe best have that ready beforehand? On that note, dont apply for the game with a detailed backstory of a character you want to play that you arent willing to adapt to the conditions of the setting/campaign.
PSS: Not to discourage you but if you do make it through the questionnaire and into the second group of applicants you will be asked to do a discord interview with your webcam turned on. I am asking you to go through a lot for a game you might not even end up liking I know, but if you do end up liking it, all this effort will be well worth it as I am sure my other players would agree.

After a brief respite from the twisted and the unnatural the clouds once more begin to gather. Along the Long Road, whole hosts of wild beasts and monsters have been accosting travelers seemingly at random and in the grand metropolis of Waterdeep a sudden rise in crime seems to coincide with strange events passing unnoticed beneath the surface. Forgotten Realms is a default setting of Dungeons and Dragons but it is anything but boring and mundane. With now decades worth of lore behind it, it offers an unparalleled opportunity for anyone wanting to build on solid foundations to bring their ideas to life. While it has garnered a lot of attention lately with the release of a certain videogame (more people now know Astarion than a good amount of Hollywood celebrities I’d say) it has had its loyal following even before then, being constantly expanded and living its own life in a host of both online and home games. I feel with how great of a variety of content the Forgotten Realms offer everybody is able to pick something that suits their creative vision. 📃The requirements📃
No exceptions here. Unless otherwise stated, the requirements must be met at the time of application.- to apply you need to be 20+ yo
- you need a functioning webcam (at the time of application) and a stable internet connection - we will be using both video and voice on discord and as a general rule Wifi doesn’t handle long video calls well (believe me when I say I speak from experience) so cable or other similar form of stable connection is strongly encouraged
- you need a Discord account and you will need a Forge account - Forge is a hosting service for Foundry, don’t worry, you won’t need to input any personal info (besides maybe an email) to register and I will be footing the bill
- you need a PC that can and will run Foundry Virtual Tabletop - check the minimum requirements on the Foundry website, a fair warning, Foundry won’t run on tablets and phones (not that you should consider those in the first place)
- you need at least an elementary knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition - when it comes to the awareness of the rules, I won’t be too harsh, but definitely don’t apply if the first time you’ve seen the PHB was a week ago
- you need TTRPG/roleplay experience and/or a very strong roleplay inclination - this is a heavy roleplay game where most if not all ingame talk will be done in character and where you will be expected to voice your character in a way that is distinct from your standard voice
- you will need to be very punctual when it comes to session attendance - I expect my players to attend most if not all sessions, online or not, this campaign is a designed as a longterm commitment and by applying you are acknowledging this, having other hobbies and time-consuming real-life obligations is understandable (I got those too) but those 4-5 hours you will be expected to set aside for the session

Hello there and well met! If you’ve made it past the flavor text (or skipped it) and through the basic info (hopefully didnt skip past that one) you might very well be at the right address! Without further ado onto the post.
As implied by the post title, this is an ongoing campaign (we are 12 sessions in at the time of this post). Due to some irl commitments weve recently dropped a player and are looking to replace them.
As the title suggests, this is a roleplay focused mystery/lore driven campaign. Expect an overreaching plot with ample secrets to uncover, conspiracies to unravel and eldritch truths to unearth. The first word of the password is "Doth". On the same level of importance or more important even be that the players preference, there is a variety of subplots to engage with, from small and goofy and random to ones rivaling the main story arc in complexity and variance. Among these, individual character story arcs play a leading role, at times seamlessly intertwined with the current focus of the party, at times separate and independent.
As was already mentioned and is further described below, this is a roleplay focused campaign and a roleplay heavy game. This means that roleplay exists as a unifying concept for all other aspects of the game including exploration, combat, and puzzles. That said DnD is only DnD with all three of its main pillars intact and this campaign is no exception in that regard. I very much enjoy the mechanical side of the game as well besides roleplay and so things like multiphase boss fights and custom magic items are definitely on the table.
I would describe my DMing style as driven, realistic, and involved but also very conscious about player agency and collaborative storytelling as core values that make TTRPGs so popular and unique. I spend a lot of time ensuring the worlds I create and the stories I want to tell feel alive. From hand-picked music, to fully voiced NPCs and scenic descriptions designed to breathe life into the campaign setting I daresay my games rival in quality those of the professional DMs that charge for each session.
There is a drawback to this all however. Second word of the password is "thy". I expect a lot from my players as well. Writing a story in DnD is not a one person job. It takes a collective effort of the entire group to create something truly unique, something that one can be proud while looking forward to each session. Unwinding and letting off steam means something else for everyone. For me it means losing myself in the creative process of roleplaying an NPC or describing a scene, watching my players masterfully portray their own characters or having the party derail my plans in an awesome unforeseen and unexpectedly enriching way. If you find yourself in any of what I just described than this may be a game for you. If you don’t, that’s fine. This is definitely not a game for everyone.

Having only just recovered from the Second Sundering and the War of the Silver Marches, the North had been ravaged by a whole new set of tumultuous events - the rise of the Cult of the Dragon and that of the Absolute, the Fall of Eltruel and the short reign of the beholder crime lord Xanathar just some among them. After a brief respite from the twisted and the unnatural the clouds once more begin to gather. Along the Long Road, whole hosts of wild beasts and monsters have been accosting travelers seemingly at random and in the grand metropolis of Waterdeep a sudden rise in crime seems to coincide with strange events passing unnoticed beneath the surface.
