French nouns that start with y

This is my first time posting in this sub but I've been a long time lurker. For reference I am 28 y/o F and 5'4". Current weight 165. Goal weight 125-135.
Between the years of 2018-2020 I was successful in my weight loss goals for the first time in my life. I lost nearly 40 lbs and hit my goal weight on my fitness pal. Shortly after, the pandemic started and I slowly stopped working out and counting calories but didn't really gain weight, just maintained. In late 2022, I noticed I started growing out of my jeans but didn't think that much of it because I generally "looked" the same (I also had stopped weighing myself out of feascale ran out of batteries lol). Fast forward to now, I knew I had put on weight between 2022-today, but was not expecting to see the number on the scale that I saw this morning. I am essentially 30 lbs heavier than I was in 2020 during my peak weight loss. I basically gained it all back and I didn't even notice. This shocked me because my weight gain was very evenly distributed throughout my body. I vented to my friends/significant other and they were surprised to hear how much I had gained because to them I didn't look drastically different. Now I'm just upset with myself and mourning the loss of the progress I had worked so hard for. Looking at old pictures eats me up inside. I don't hate my body by any means now but my confidence is so low. I'm slowly starting to get back into counting calories but its so hard to get back into that habit after years of eating "intuitively". All of this to say, I am frustrated that I'm starting over in my journey. Any advice or words of encouragement appreciated.

Hey y’all, I’m new to the whole community and I’ve grown up with the Hunger Games movies. With the latest new movie, the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, I started to pick up my hyper fixation and have tons of thoughts about it. Since I’m pretty young and barely have anyone to talk about this who isn’t busy, I wanted to talk on this Reddit.
So to start, I want to talk about the 10 hunger games we saw in the Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes because it is so interesting to me. It’s great to see these games and how the games started out during the early stages and right after the Dark Days. It showed how harsh the Capitol use to be and the District’s treatment. The Capitol barely cared about them and didn’t have the special treatment they had during Katniss’ games like District 1 and 2 only had the advantage of being well-fed but that’ll all. Not the abilities to have Capitol favoritism nor the knowledge on killing or even how to wield a weapon in general as seen with Sabyn (Sorry if I misspelled her name), Marcus, Facet, and Velvereen. The only ones who did have a significant advantage were tributes like Coral, Mizzen, Treech, Tanner, and even Lamina. The main reason is because they had experience welding weapons or thing back in their district that could be used to kill someone. Additionally, I loved to see the progression we see in all of the tributes by the time of the 10ths Hunger Games. We can see this in Lucy Gray where at the reaping, she can be seen with her hair all made up, her dress being clean and somewhat light, and her face blushed and touched up.
Anyways, those are my main thoughts and I do have more that’ll I’ll post later. Thank you, sincerely.

One night me and my aunt were going to play the ouija board and so we got set up around 11 and so we got set up we put our hands on the board which we should’ve never put our hands on that board we start asking if anything was there nothing for 20mins this kept happening so then we got some candles and put them around the board then we got something We talked to a Apache named Peter Youngblood he died in 1842 he didn’t know how he died he had a horse that was black white and brown and he settled with his tribe in the area so we looked it up and the Apache’s were near west Texas and north Texas we asked about if he owned the gun that my grandpa found he said no so we asked are there more spirits here with us he said yes sometimes during that night my aunt would have to take her hand off the board and put it back on once she would he would spell out stop or angry
So yeah that’s my story if y’all have any questions or thoughts or story like this let me know.

Ive been with y boyfriend for almost 7 months and he's graduating in a week. Two days ago he asked for space so he could decide what he wants to do with his life (which I completely understand) however I though he already had a plan to stay in my home town with me and go to school for radiology? apparently he wasn't done deciding. He also told me this the night before his last day at school with me. I wanted to have a good memorial day with him. Everything has been great which hurts because I though he would want to talk to me and we had plans the night after his last day of school then He told me he didn't want to hangout anymore that night. Hes still active on all social media and I'm assuming he's gaming with his friends. So I don't know what thinking he's doing. It just feels like he wants me to leave him alone. He was really nice to me before we decided to start the space. He told me we weren't breaking up I just don't know tho. Im scared and I feel like I cant do anything. I just need some advice I don't wanna lose him.

Ok In my recent post i left off at when my best friend and her friend took me with them to this Mexican dude apartment. My bestfriends FRIEND was the one talking to the dude or w.e. So fast forward me and my best fr fell out once again out of no where i didn’t know why she just stopped talking to me but i just let it be. So as time went on one day I’m on facebook and the Mexican guy messages me or whatever and i thought it was a setup because if you from wherr I’m from… these girls are SETUPS! Its sick! But anyway i wasn’t never texting him back until one day me and my bestfr got back cool again for the 100th time but yall i was like 17 atp and idk i was just done with the on and off friendship like no. And i think my bestfr caught on to that so we was cool for a long time after that n didn’t fall out until a couple years later yall nd that’s the SICK PART!

( my bestfr) ok so boom in the recent post remeber i said i had like 3/4 homegirls but ONE of them was the strict one and the other was just like me And my bf.. always outside or w.e but her mom would never let her outside we would have to buy her mom cigs just so she can come out or w.e i would sneak them in my window to my room so they can shower while my mom was at work cs yall we was some bad teenagers so its like our moms was always kicking us out. Ok so one day my bf got locked like we was so bad always stealing cars n people cards bro just dumb stuff but the police NEVER TOOK US TO JAILLL! We would take the police on high speeds n everything get caught but they always took us home never to jail! Until one day my bestfr went to jail/dentention home cs we still minors atp. They came and locked allll of us up because one night we went to the beach and stole somebody car, took the police on a highspped allllllll the way to richmond i lie to you not! A HOUR HIGHSPPED CHASE. But after that one everybody was locked up for like 30 days so i got out but my bf was still locked up so it was just me and our other friend with the strict mom. We calmed down after that with the cars we stopped that n starting skipping school yall. ( this before i dropped out btw)

Alright so boom, fast forward my bf locked up so I’m hanging with our other friend a lot!!! We get real close n we went with the Mexican dude one day remind y’all he was 30!!!! We in high school bruh 17!!!! But didn’t care just grown like ew but anyway he would come get us from school like everydsy we skipping school to go chill with this grown ass man. So my friend end up getting locked up tooo so it was just me. I started going with the man y’all and mannn i dont even wanna get into that cs its so traumatizing too look back on.

Hello Reddit, my English is not the best so if there are some mistakes I apologize.
I (29F) met my boyfriend (31M) 4 years ago and started dating him 2 years ago. Before that, he was with his beautiful wife for 9 years (we met a year after her passing). She was his first everything and he is my first everything (I’ve always been the little chubby one of my group so let’s just say that I never had any men interested).
Unfortunately, I’m in a position where I really don’t think I can continue this relationship for 3 reasons:

1. He told me he doesn’t compare the two relationships and I try to do so (I know comparison is the thief of joy) but I genuinely don’t get how and why he could want to be with me. Is he using me? Maybe. Am I just a placeholder? Probably. I don’t talk about those insecurities with him because he never did anything but be a good partner. I know these are my own issues to deal with and I certainly don’t want to bother him with those. 2. He is so out of my league. Listen, I know physical attractiveness is not everything but there are some limits. To give you an idea, she was the typical blond hair, model body, blue eyes and what not. He is tall, blond and in shape. They looked like Barbie and ken. I’m 5’2 and a little chubby (150 lbs) I have glasses and a small French accent when I speak English (I sometimes look like an idiot). We also have opposite personalities. She was an extrovert, lots of friends and was in general very “popular”. She reminds me of myself when I speak French (language barrier is crazy). I also LOVE being ALONE. My career is in research so I guess you can call me a lab rat. Anyway all of this to say that this relationship doesn’t make sens. Yes we have the same humor and are always having fun but I just know I’m a downgrade. Like how disappointing is that. I know his wife and him were in a group of friends together (he still talks to them frequently) and it’s just a lot of things I can’t relate to. 3. I feel really guilty for his wife. He tells me a lot about her and she’s the type of person I admire and wish I was more. She deserved the world and I feel like it’s unfair that I get to have those things. Maybe I’m just crazy but even if marriage is a subject my bf talked about with me, it’s not something I could go through. In my eyes, she is his wife (I always refer her as such when talking about her). He talked about how he would love to have kids but I just cannot do it. Again, maybe it’s the guilt but I just feel like she’s the one who should be in my place. 

Anyway I know it’s a lot of text haha I apologize. He is the one who made me believe in love. I’m not jealous of his wife. She was her own person and I find her really cool. I just wish I could experience the type of love they had. With him, I know he loves me but i don’t know, maybe I’m just better alone in my laboratory lol. I don’t want to be his one and only (weird and corny). If someone is or was in the same position, your opinion is really appreciated. Wherever you are, I hope your day is going well :)
TLDR; I don’t know if I should continue this relationship considering the fact that I constantly feel like I will never be what he really wants.

😵😵😵😵So yesterday after ✍️ down My dreams, washed up, prayed with mantras b4 stepping outside. Initially didn't know where my feet was taking me but walked so far from home and into a parade/festival of some sort. Found a spot by a big river sat and and reflected on everything Leading up to this point in my life. Started playing music, sm🍃ked, and felt the intense vibes from b4 settle down. There was some concert too, as everyone, dates, families and kids were eating, dancing, 🍃🍀🥂🥪⚽️etc as 👁 was walking back towards home down a big hill/bridgeway, saw it in the sky....That Symbol Got from a game 🎮 play on my phone, but the all seeing 👁ON everything 👁 love saw it and even tho was in the z🍃ne I'm very much observant! Looked around at the people behind and beside me if they saw what 👁was seeing, but everybody was just in they own 🌎The sky was baby blue but the part where saw the eye was gold! Honestly gasped, turned my music down and felt overwhelmed af seeing the gold surrounding the eye open up a bit more. This Honestly freaked me tf out but made me feel "seen" IF u would because my guides cry when 👁😢😥my guides dance when 👁dance and my angels know how empathetic my 💚is and hate when auras try getting over on me, and when my l💚ve isn't reciprocated.. I'm not sure if this is the right sub for this. I was visiting Boulder Co, and saw some guys playing what they called handball in a racquetball court. Evidently they have a league for that. Unfortunately, there's no interest in my city in Florida.
But it does seem like fun to go to my local gym and do the same to get some exercise. So I'd like to buy a ball and gloves. Any suggestions on what would be good to start with? I don't know if I'll like it or stick with it, due to some health problems, so lower cost is best.

Initially started playing CS2 with an R7 5800X + RTX 3080 + 32GB RAM (3200 MHz), average 230-250~ average FPS on Dust 2, closer to 140-170~ on Ancient. (Dust 2 best performing map, Ancient worst performing map). Originally 350-400~ FPS on CSGO on most maps; I don't have those numbers anymore. First thing I noticed was that CS2 improperly utilizes the CPU, stacking all of the GPU rendering load onto 1 core, causing the CPU to only be at 5-10% utilization (1 core maxed out) with my GPU sitting pretty at 30-40% usage and my FPS barely at my refresh-rate (240 Hz). CSGO had this problem as well, but not nearly as bad. Obviously, this is a problem that thousands of people have run into.
Fast-forward; I got a job that requires me to be out of state 2-3 weeks out of every month, so I sold my desktop and bought a reasonably-priced Alienware M15 R5 laptop (Win10, 1080p, 360 Hz (excessive), R9 5900HX, RTX 3070 (80%~ performance compared to desktop version), 32GB RAM (2667 MHz). The 5900HX is not really comparable to my previous 5800X, obviously. Still, I expected it to be able to play eSports titles reasonably well. CSGO played perfectly fine, 250-300 FPS generally. Valorant currently gets the same, 250-300 FPS (Valorant actually uses all of my cores. Hah).
Out of the box with no launch options, CS2 gets 50-100 FPS depending on the map with this laptop (Inferno and Ancient are especially terrible), only using 5-10% of the CPU (1 core maxed out), 20-30% GPU usage. These FPS stats do not get better by lowering any settings (because of the intentionally-designed CPU bottleneck), but input latency somewhat improves by playing on lowest settings (with FidelityFX disabled). This is, pardon my French, fucking ridiculous. Entirely foreseeable and preventable during engine development, and completely insane to be overlooked without more context. Secondly, Source 2 is over a decade old, so really it's a miracle that anyone thought it was a good idea to release a modern sequel title on this ancient technology.
Before anyone asks, I've done everything possible after 20+ hours of research to try to increase FPS on this system. My best results have been with the "performance" power plan in Windows these launch options (if anyone says "that one doesn't work anymore" I literally don't care, I'm over it and decided to throw everything at it, and these all seem to improve my FPS through a lot of split-testing): -dx11 -coop_fullscreen -force_allow_coop_fullscreen -mainthreadpriority 2 -disable_affinity_preferences -r_max_device_threads 64 -threads 17 -set_power_qos_disable -favor_consistent_framerate +engine_low_latency_sleep_after_client_tick 1 +r_low_latency 2
My FPS has since improved to something resembling a playable experience (90-190 FPS depending on map). I'm aware that I could replace my RAM with a higher clockspeed to further improve performance with a single core, but I have other priorities than spending more time or money trying to improve this. Regardless, I wanted to share what worked for me because there was a huge lack of infomation anywhere in one place. I found these launch options from user Aveyo. Either way, this is as good as forcing low-spec players to flock to this game's main competitor just so that they can have a vaguely similar experience with playable FPS. No, sub-100 FPS is not playable for anyone who can tell the difference between 144hz and 240hz and wants a somewhat competitive experience. I can't yet justify spending over $2k on a laptop with a reasonable CPU/GPU combo that would meet my standard because of a single game whose devs are basically telling me they don't care enough to add reasonable multithreading and that I should get over it. Especially when this PC works completely fine for everything else, including playing their competitor's game instead (begrudgingly).

After my soulmate cat passed a month ago, I started visiting cats at the pet store - not to adopt, just to talk to them and pet them through the cages. It was comforting somehow. A few weeks into it, I started asking about fostering adult cats (I wasn't interested in kittens), and they said there aren't often adult fosters, but they were fine with a foster-to-adopt trial for one of their cats.
This cat is very gentle, if a bit timid. After I heard her story from her foster mom, I figured that maybe she was feeling a bit lost because she'd always been surrounded by cats she loved, and was now an only cat. I adopted one of her babies, and reuniting them in my home genuinely moved me to tears. Mama cat instantly came out of her shell. This morning, I snuggled with them both in bed, one under each arm.
...but I just can't get this persistent, anxious feeling out of the pit of my stomach that this is all happening too soon. These cats are wonderful - a 2 y.o. and her two-month-old kitten, both incredibly gentle and sweet. The adult's still technically on a foster-to-adopt trial (it's just been a week), and although I formally adopted the kitten, I think the mama is best off with her baby around so I'd surrender them both.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? I feel pressured to keep them, but also pressured to give them up. The guilt of having mama cat be shuttled from her original owner to the shelter, then foster home, then shelter, then pet shop, then my home, and then going back to the shelter to be rehomed again makes me feel so guilty. She's a good girl and she deserves stability, not constant upheaval. Are butterflies or anxious feelings normal when adopting again after a big loss, or is this my gut telling me to pump the brakes and grieve a bit more first? Has anyone been in a similar situation or had similar feelings?
