Lisinopril and hcg drops

Hi, 41 year-old male here. I just want to get my blood pressure under control, but nothing is working. NOTHING. It honestly freaks me the heck out. Over the past 12 years or so, I've always gotten readings that hovered around 150/90, more or less.
At my worst, about 2 years ago, my BP was at 167/110! Made me sick to my stomach. Just seeing those numbers made me queasy. I vowed right then and there to get this taken care of.
I made an appointment with my doctor at the time, explained everything, and they gave me a prescription: Hydrochlorothiazide (small daily dose). Took that for a few months. No change. Fast forward another year, changed doctors, and they put me on Lisinopril. On a sidenote, the whole thing was tormenting me because I didn't like the idea of taking medication for the rest of my life, but I told myself it was better than living with the uncertainty of this monster. After a few months of that, I mustered up the courage to finally take my reading on my own. No change! I began to get very discouraged and teetered between obsessing over this to completely ignoring the issue, since it was frankly just overwhelming. Some medical professionals mentioned that I may have "white coat" syndrome, and that the act of taking my reading was enough to spike my blood pressure since it made me so anxious at that particular moment. Part of me believed it, since I DID notice I would get anxious during the reading, but could you blame me? The other part of me didn't believe it because, although I did believe that the anticipation of taking my blood pressure did stress me out, I didn't see how it could raise my blood pressure THAT much. So, fast forward another year, and I finally find a third doctor which I honestly liked a lot. Explained my issues and they put me on Amlodipine, 5 mg.
This is where things get a little interesting: They told me to start taking it daily, come back in 2 weeks, and they would monitor my progress to see how it was working. At this point, I highly doubted there would be any difference but I went through the process anyway. On my return, they took my reading (I was anxious and pessimistic), and was euphorically surprised to see the exact numbers 120/80! I was so happy that I had finally gotten this under control! I resigned myself to the fact that I was just going to have to be on this medication forever, but came to terms with it. So the months pass, I'm taking 5mg Amlodipine daily, started exercising, eating better, stopped drinking, and even lost 15 pounds. I was ridin' high! Fast forward about 6 months of maintaining this new healthy lifestyle, I go in for another physical. I'm happy and relaxed, and honestly kind of excited for them to take my blood pressure reading. I finally felt normal and healthy. They took my reading, and it was at freaking 150/90. I felt the room close in on me and was just speechless. Defeated. Hopeless. All they did was up the dosage to 10 mg instead of 5. Blegh.
So this is where I am now. They recommended that I get my own at-home blood pressure machine, which I did, so that I could "get used" to the process since it seemed like the anticipation of getting checked was possibly affecting my readings. But honestly, I'm so distraught, exhausted and traumatized by everything I've been through. There are times when I see a blood pressure machine and I just want to throw up. Makes me want to curl up into a corner and not move. Despite taking daily medication, cutting alcohol, exercising, losing weight, going through 3 different doctors, and being on that stupid medication for 6 months, there is no change. I really am perplexed, scared and pretty much have accepted that I will just spontaneously drop dead one of these days from my heart exploding or something like that. Can anyone give me some advice? This is awful.

Just got my second hcg result and my number dropped. I’m shocked, I had such a good feeling about this one. I even had the thought they mixed up my labs with someone else’s (irrational, I know)
This is the earliest I’ve ever miscarried. I’m 4w2d. Will the bleeding just be like a heavier period? They don’t do d&cs this early, do they?
I’m taking progesterone so I guess I can stop now. I assume it’s keeping me from bleeding.
I’m just in disbelief right now. Wtf.

I had my last Ih peak day36 of my cycle, started bleeding late on 8dpo, 9dpo today and bleeding not as heavy as my usual period/ no clots but it is incredibly early I usually have a 13 day luteal phase, but I also have to consider I had two Ih peaks, if I ovulated at day33 I'm still only 11dpo at max. Early progesterone drop? Menstruation? (if I was 8dpo if there was viable chance, a early progesterone drop would ruin that which ofc super sad) Or maybe a really bad implantation bleed? (Seems to dissipate after wiping) Praying the bleeding will stop tomorrow night no positive hcg yet... holding onto to tomorrow praying the bleeding stops. Looking at the tissue like wtf are you, period blood or egg that hit vessel, really don't want to admit I'm staring at period blood at 9dpo🤦‍♀️ or if it's even possible to ovulate a egg and have another Ih peak🤦‍♀️

My Hcg dropped from 74 to 56. I assumed that it must be another chemical pregnancy. However, after bleeding for 7 days, I took beta tests again to make sure that these betas have dropped below 5 but BOOM they came back 147! How is it even possible? My gyno suspect ectopic pregnancy. I went in for a scan, they couldn't see a thing on my tubes but radiologist found an extremely small mass on my right ovary ( which she isn't sure whether it is ectopic related or not because I have polycystic ovaries). I don't know what is happening! I am in a disbelieve. I have been struggling to get pregnant for so long. Any suggestion? Should I get an injection? Will I be able to conceive again in future?

So just had my second transfer after a failed one last month. Last Friday which was 8dpt we had our first beta and got the call that it was successful and congratulations we were pregnant! Our HCG was 34.43. Excited is an understatement. It was the first positive we have ever seen after several failed IUIs, failed transfer and 4 yrs TTC.
THEN, we had our second beta 13dpt and HCG was now 51.50. They called and said the numbers are concerning and asked me to come in the following day (today) to check again. The nurse said if the number drops more it is likely a chemical pregnancy and if it increases it is concerning for an ectopic pregnancy and I would need to be closely monitored.
I’m just so thrown off on why this could have happened. Does anyone have experience with low betas and went on to have a healthy pregnancy? Or anyone with experience with chemical pregnancies and have had a similar experience that can explain this?

I had my blood work drawn at 6 weeks and 48 hours later to check on hcg levels and progesterone levels.
My hcg levels at 6 weeks 83 820 and progesterone 11.4. My next bloodtest 48 hours later 104 405 and progesterone is 11.3.
Is this ok? My hcg levels have risen but not doubled in 48 hours and my progesterone has dropped from 11.4 to 11.3 in 48 hours. I am extremely anxious and worried. Please give me some advice. Thank you

I received my second dose of Methotrexate in March. About 6 weeks ago. My HCG started dropping appropriately until today. My levels went from 11 to 17 in one week. I was really hoping to be at <5. I completely stopped bleeding but still feel stabbing pain by my pelvic area that comes and goes. Has anyone experienced this? This sucks and I don’t even know what to think anymore. Just want it to be over.

Hi there. I’m 10w+6d tomorrow, and I’m getting my D&C at noon-ish local time. My doctor officially diagnosed me with a MMC last Friday after two ultrasounds showed baby #1 measuring at 6w1d, and baby #2 too small to measure. My bloodwork also showed my otherwise high HCG dropping 😭
I’m relieved to finally be getting a D&C to let this horror pass, but also gearing up for some awful mourning.
For those of you who’ve had a D&C, what helped you feel okay and cared for after? My friend’s mom asked if there’s anything she can get me to make me feel more cozy and comfortable and my mind is absolutely blanking—I don’t know what can or will comfort me as this loss becomes physically very, very official and I won’t be even a little bit pregnant anymore 😭

So I'm on my 2nd day of Lisinopril with a diuretic I used to be on these b4 but I lost my insurance in august last year. I got 20mg/25mg the Dr told me to take half a tablet so that I don't go into shock for the 1st couple of days. I tooken a full one 2 days now and my bp was 160/102 the 1st day and today was 155/96. I feel fine other then getting a little sweaty and having to pee a lot I just wanted to know how much is a dangerous drop that could send me into shock. It was 169/111 is the one the took and the Dr but it was even higher the 1st time the took it around 188/118 but they said they found it's usually lower being checked at home.

I’m nearly 8 weeks along with an ectopic pregnancy. My doctor has recommended expectant management, because my HCG levels are dropping on their own - from 1700 on 4/25, 900 on 4/27, and under 400 on 4/29.
On 4/28, I had a lot of right side pain and I passed tissue that was analyzed and is not pregnancy tissue. I had a thickened uterine lining (endometrium?) and I believe the tissue was my body shedding that lining. I also have (or had) a corpus luteum cyst on the right side.
My pain and bleeding have both subsided and I’m now mildly bleeding and cramping, no serious pain since Sunday. I had an ultrasound (regular and transvaginal) over a week ago and they couldn’t find my pregnancy but are confident it’s ectopic.
My questions are - is that normal with an ectopic to have such major pain and then it subsides? Does anyone have any experiences with expectant management that they can share?
Also I’m so tired, is that normal? This is my first ectopic and pregnancy loss and I’m scared and sad. Thankful for this group and reading all your posts, I feel less alone.

I am devastated. After 3 of ttc I just got to see two rainbow lines last week but the happiness was just short lived. My hcg was 66 on the day 1 beta test and it dropped to 21 today.
I already had two failed IUI. Can this process be less cruel to us.
We transferred 3AA embryo, did all diet control as I could, still don’t know what went wrong.

Got referred to hospital where they took bloods again and hcg hac dropped to 1900. Doctors say its OK to manage on its own and keep checking hcg levels to see if they keep decreasing without medication as apparently the mass is relatively small.
Has anyone been in this situation before? Is there hope it will continue to drop, my next bloods are in two days.
So for ref hcg was 2700 seven days ago, 2100 two days ago and 1900 today.
Any help really appreciated. Don't have any symptoms/pain etc

I found out on march 5th I was pregnant & after some thought, my boyfriend and I decided an abortion would be best. We’re only 20 and not ready mentally or financially for a baby even though we wished we were. I had my surgical abortion on march 15 (I was 6 weeks 2 days) and bleeding followed for the next week but stopped after that.
On April 3rd some very light spotting came on for about 2 days and then got a little heavier for another 2 days. I went to get blood tests from my doctors to make sure my HCG levels were dropping. On April 9th, they were 7.9 and on April 12th they were 4.7. I know below 5 indicates a negative pregnancy test so my guess is that bleeding at the beginning of April was the remainder of the tissue passing. I am not on birth control & never have been but have always had pretty regular cycles. They said my period should return within 8 weeks. I’m on week 7 right now but just wondering if anyone’s has ever come later than 8 weeks? Or what the doctors would do to help it comeback? I am going to an obgyn appointment tomorrow in hopes to get an IUD inserted.

I don’t really know if there’s a point to this post but just wanted to share how I was treated throughout the process (as I wait for my hcg numbers to drop).
A month and a half ago I met with my obgyn about infertility. Was really unhappy with how that convo went so I went home and picked a new doctor. Then I got pregnant! I went in for my first scan at 7 weeks 4 days and didn’t see anything in my uterus. My new obgyn was so kind while explaining what has to happen now and our future options. Gave me a hug. She sent me down the hall to get an ultrasound to ensure it wasn’t there and see if they could locate where the ectopic was. Found it in my right tube.
I’m lying on the table with the radiologist tech. She’s saying crying doesn’t help anything, that we were only trying for 6 months and got pregnant without assistance (except it was ectopic so….) and that I’m only 31 and have plenty of time. She also mentioned she is a mom like that helps somehow. I snapped at her and said that I cry at everything and I’m allowed to feel this way and also I just can’t help it.
Later that day a nurse was about to give me my mtx shot. For some reason when she told me it had to go in my bum I started crying again lol I told her at least I was doing a pre-planned staycation this weekend and it would be a good distraction. She said if I feel something I should allow myself to feel it because it’s still a loss and she held my hand. I’ll remember her kindness forever.

Hi everyone, I am 10 weeks into my first blast. I am running 300mg Test E 300mgPrimo 250ui hcg 0.5mg of aromasin weekly. I've noticed hair shedding recently and I am concerned. I am not sure if it use due to Primo or aromasin or both. Please help. Should I drop primo? or just got back to TRT?

UPDATE hcg-still low: my last period start at 3.24.. The lifelabs range always made me confused and by LMP am in wk 5 for my first pregancy. My average period days is around 32 days, day ovulated is probably in 4.9th. I just checked with the doctor this morning and she suggested me to do the US ASAP so I will do the US in urgent care tmr and update.
My hcg is 846 IU/L on 4.24, wk4+4
2065IU/L on 4.26--48hrs wk4+6
6058IU/L on 4.29--72hrs wk5+2
11381IU/L on 5.01--48hrs wk5+4
All those numbers looks pretty low using lifelabs range. Does anyone has similar experience with the numbers?My friend told me as long as your number doubles in 48 hrs you will be fine. However, 830 - 2000-6050, the increasing rate is dropping from 140% to 100%,and for the result in 5/1, the hcg doubling rate is declining to 88%, I am really afraid that the double rate will decreasing to below 66%.
Any one has similar experience? and how did the result? Also my blood pressure is 117-86,is this normal because I uaually have 90-65 before my pregancy.
Also do I need to test the progesterone too or take medicine？The doctor said my hcg is low and I am really worried that I cannot delivered baby.

I did my first cycle of Testosterone Enanthate @ 500 mg for 14 weeks starting in August. From the beginning, I took 750 IU HCG/week. I also took 6.25 mg aromasin as needed, usually 1-2x/week. After week 14, I dropped the HCG and waited 3 weeks for the test and HCG to clear from my system. I then began a PCT with enclomiphene for 7 weeks, 6 weeks of 25 mg and 1 week of 12.5 mg.
I ended my PCT at the start of January and waited until now to get the post cycle bloods, just to make sure all of the drugs were cleared. I didn't expect my results to be this way, since I've felt perfectly fine and haven't had any low T symptoms like low libido, loss of muscle mass/fat gain, or fatigue. T
Should I take some aromasin and see if that gets everything back into check? Or is this way outside of my paygrade?
