Brazilian wax diagram

For about 7 months I was getting Brazilian waxes without any ingrown hairs/rad bump problems, and then, due to moving house, I switched to a different waxing place which definitely uses a different type of wax (a way less painful one, I have to say), but I've suddenly got loads of ingrown/bumps down there.
Could a change of wax or maybe waxing method of the salon, be the cause of this?
And any tips to get rid of the redness ASAP??
I already exfoliate, and i'm gonna start IPL soon, but I'm looking for fast solutions in the meantime if possible - it's driving me crazy!!!

I need help in ending this relationship but more in a mature matter where it doesn’t lead to me ghosting, blocking or whatever immature actions that doesn’t need to end in that way.
I don’t really consider this a relationship but the guy I’ve been talking too see a potential relationship with me long term when my initial intentions were to have fun and go on our separate ways. I have created several posts about this but I’ve deleted it out of feeling shameful.
Shameful for rejecting love that was handed to me the first time. Well not the first, but to meet someone who genuinely wants to be with me, form a future with me or added with the fact would bend his own values just to work with me hurts me a lot.
The only reason I’m asking for help about this is because I’ve thought I have set my standards and boundaries clear to the guy I’ve spoken too but I realize that I’ve entertained too much of hanging around with despite his clear obvious feelings he has for me and that I’m too much of a coward to be bluntly honest that I’m just not attracted to him and for that I don’t want to continue this relationship he is dreaming of.
At first I was willing to try slow baby steps in getting to know him but I just can’t do it. One, I’m not into age gap relationships. NEVER will. Despite being an adult myself I’m not attracted dating someone that’s older than me 8-10 years apart. my standards and expectations are high when it comes to adults. Plus I don’t like the fact that I’m with someone who would eventually lose their physical appearance once the years pass by. “Remaining youthful” for their interest doesn’t flatter me at all. I find it very unfair especially when I’ve accepted other attributes from him that I’m not into. I’m not into men that smokes or does drugs, men with facial hair, tattoos. The last one is quite petty in my part but he’s a white guy with Dreads. I hate it. It irritate my skin and I would rather see his natural hair than tolerate his matted hairstyle.
He’s genuinely a great person, he knows that. But honestly his immature moments annoys me sometimes. Speeding often, including sex whenever we chat, being inappropriate randomly out of the blue, one time he push me into almost falling onto his fishing poles, his jokes where he would playfully clown or mock me, he get so upset when it comes to us talking instead of listening to my POV, random hyperactive behavior; ugh, he literally act like a teenage boy.
Which is expected to happen in age gap relationships. Old people trying to remain youthful or having a “youthful” personality trait whatever. I’m not into that at all. I’m quite reserved most of the time. I have my playful childish moments here n there but like I say previously I’m not like that when I’m around adults. My expectation is high and seeing an adult acting like a child is a turn off for me. Having them act this way around me because I’m in my 20s doesn’t make it better.
Another note, he wouldn’t offer me some financial assistance for anything. I’m not saying anything that’s sugar baby related. He wants my vagina to be completely bald for sex whenever we get intimate. So I pretty much have to get a Brazilian wax whenever we have sex. The cost of it is $60 a visit. I’m not interested of doing that. Offering $60 a visit would be nice since I don’t even care to be consistent going to the wax Solon since I don’t have a job to visit the place every 3-4 weeks. But he set a standard that he is not obligated to help me with those minor inconveniences. Understandable, bills whatever. But I don’t see what value you bring besides sex and company. It can’t be a full relationship without the other.
Anyway, the guy is a great guy. He offer word of affirmation almost everyday to me, we only went on two dates the last date i paid the bill, he pretty much love the shit out of me but I just can’t see myself continuing this. I will admit that I had fall for him on some occasions whenever we hang out but once I return back home from hanging out with him I fall back into reality that I am not attracted to this man at all.
Till this day I still don’t know him simply because he’s not willing to offer anything new “relationship” wise. It’s just little things I have to pick up on and pretty much address to him that I don’t like.
One example is our conversation of having children. He has mention 4 times that he doesn’t want children but when I told him that is something I wanted for myself and would probably accept him as my boyfriend if he felt the same way, he felt offended.
As in, “convince me why I should have children” I shouldn’t have to convince shit for why you want kids. He clearly doesn’t want them but he’s putting up this front that he does just for me to stay with him.
If I’m being judgemental or too picky, PLEASE advise me or tell me what I’m doing wrong here. I’ve never been in a relationship before but I feel like it’s wrong for me to openly accept someone just for the sake of love. No. I need help with this crap. It is NOT easy. I’ve said multiple times to this guy that we aren’t compatible and HE STILL CANNOT GET THE HINT. someone assistance me.

A Brazilian wax figure.

Hello. This is my second time getting a Brazilian wax. Second time in two years. My first time I got waxed, the next day I had little whiteheads ALL over. I can see the whiteheads again, my second time waxing, the day after. My first time, it did go away in like 24 ish hours. So I wasn’t worried. But is this normal? Why is this happening when people don’t usually experience this? Are there any preventatives or creams that I can use?? Thank you!

Just wanting to share this here. I stopped shaving for almost 5 years or more na ata and this is is my routine
I wax kapag more than 1in yung length of hair. I do it every 2 months pero YMMV kasi slow talaga hair growth ko down there kahit shaving pa ako
Reason I switched to waxing was grabe yung ingrown hair and yung kati kapag yung cut hair eh nagpepenetrate na ulit sa skin
A day before the wax: I gentle exfoliate down there, up and down lang mga mi, wag circular and key word here is gently. I use plain sugar or sugar + carrier oil. I don’t use any whitening or what down there kasi sensitive ako
The day of the wax, I do it at the end of the day after I shower. Syempre prep mo na yung waxing machine mo, imelt mo na yung wax beads and your powder (I use the johnsons baby powder cornstarch).
I do this on the floor and naglalatag ako ng any type of newpaper na uupuan ko. Tapos apply your powder para dry talaga yung skin
Check the temp of your wax on the inner side of your wrist, dapat hindi masyadong mainit. Then iapply mo na yung wax, for applicator bumibili lang ako ng tongue depressor sa pharmacy (mga 5pesos lang)
Direction of wax application is against the hair growth direction. So for me, from bottom going up pagapply ko
Generally, dapat ganun din magpull, pero never ko ginawa yun kasi takot ako na masyadong masakit so pagpull ko is from top to bottom
Wala namang side effects
Tapos do small areas, wag kayo magapply ng big areas or iiyak talaga kayo
Yung small areas ko is like 1 - 1.5inch in length tapos di ko na nilalapadan
Based on my experience, okay lang umulit ulit sa isang area kapag may naiiwan pero huwag gawin if super sensitive talaga skin nyo

Pain during the first few times is 10/10 haha, no bleeding naman. Now mga 4.5/10 nalang tapos dati mga 50mins to an hour ako magwawax kasi syempre kailangan ko icheer sarili ko, now mga 20-30mins nalang
Lifechanging for me. Di ko na need pumunta sa iba para ipawax haha pero maybe in the future magpapaIPL ako. For now, eto ang pasok sa budget

Hi all,
I have pretty fair skin and my hair in this area is very dark. I've been waxing for 5+ years (last time 1 month ago). Yesterday I had my first session of LHR. I am doing the Brazilian area so bikini line, butt and everything inbetween except for a triangle on top which I left unshaved so she could see where to zap and where not to. I am paying £300 for 8 sessions.
I have 2 concerns that I want reassurance on!

1. She took LITERALLY 3 minutes. I have quite a few folds down there and she did move stuff around, but still... 3 minutes? Is it really that quick?
   
2. I shaved right before, and in most areas on my skin (but especially on top, like between the unshaved triangle and my leg) you can still see the black "dots"/hair follicles. I was under the impression these are the ones that get zapped away when doing laser. Should they not be gone now? I'm sure that when I went for a patch test, the patch they did was smooth (looking like it had been waxed) afterwards. I was expecting the same result all over.
   

The super short amount it took + me still being able to see the hairs sit there under my skin makes me worry she did not get all spots equally.

Just tried on my bug out bag for the first time. I'm what you call an armchair prepper the guy that bought tons and tons of stuff without actually trying it out because he was too busy with work and other things. I'm what you call a dunce, a dingus, a razzmatazz, a ding dong. This thing almost broke my back when I put it on I literally could not walk more than a hundred steps with it. Please in the comment section cleverly berate me for being a knob and give me advice on how to have a much better bug out bag.

I'm realizing now I had no clue what an actual bug out bag was. I was just throwing everything I bought into a giant rucksack. Long guns and arrows were not in bag just being carried. I was calling this a bug out bag but it was just straight up storage. Someone from this sub messaged me and explained everything to me with a diagram. Lots of good advice here from everyone!!!!

So I get Brazilian waxes every month, and at the end my waxing lady uses an IPL machine to target hairs/follicules that the waxing missed. I've had pretty good results with this, however hair regrowth is really patchy.
I'm considering buying my own IPL machine, and using it all over a few days after waxing, to further slow down regrowth.
Would this work?
I've seen lots of comments saying waxing and laser shouldn't ever mix, so I'm just pretty confused.

I’ve been getting a Brozilian wax every month for a year now and it’s been great. I love how it looks, and contrary to what most guys say, it doesn’t hurt that bad. I’m half asleep during most of it.
I recently moved and had a three month period where I didn’t get waxed. I trimmed my hair down there but for the most part it grew out, but never over an inch in length at the longest. Earlier this week I finally booked an appointment to get waxed by a new waxer. This was by far the most painful waxing I’ve ever had to deal with and I want to know if there was something I could do to avoid this in the future.
I got recommended this waxer by a waxer at a different salon. I booked an appointment and when I finally arrived for it that’s when the first minor red flag went off. This person didn’t have their own studio like they claimed online. They had a small utility closet sized room with poor lighting inside of a hair salon that someone else owned. At first I didn’t think much of it, small business owners need to start somewhere, I just thought it was odd that the room was so dark, and just expected her to miss a lot of hair in the end.
Everything got worse once she actually got started. She used almost no talc powder or oil to help protect the skin. Most of the passes she did with the wax were large, like she was trying to get the job done in as few passes as possible. The biggest issue was that she didn’t seem to know how to rip the wax off. I’m used to the person putting the hot wax down, letting it harden briefly, applying tension to the skin and ripping the wax strip off in the opposite direction of the tension. This person would do a large strip of what felt like cold wax, wait too long for it to harden, and when it came time to rip it off, she would just yank it straight up. The first wax strip she did took five tries for her to get it off, and most of the wax was pulling on my skin and not the hair. That’s how the whole appointment went, with her having to try multiple times of each piece of wax. Then at the end she used a rough towel to remove any left over bits of wax that she didn’t get up. When it was time to do my butt, she only did the inner cheeks (I’m used to getting the whole thing done), and she did all of it in two giant passes. It felt like she was trying to pull my ass crack off of me.
This experience was terrible, and I am currently looking for someplace else to get waxed at. What can I look for or ask about to let me know that the people working there know what they are doing?

I, 20y female, got my first full brazilian wax 2 weeks ago, two days after I got bumps everywhere on the top. After searching on google, I learned this is normal. 2 weeks later and they are still there, some getting bigger over time. There are areas where my hair has grown as normal, then the areas with bumps have no hair at all, I am thinking they might be really bad ingrown hairs, but I have used ingrown hair oils and scrubs, nothing is helping. They are not cute and itchy. Some have pus and are painful. What do I do?? I am supposed to go in 2 weeks to get another one because I prepaid for a whole years worth of waxes.

Some background, I was unemployed for 4 months because I had to leave my last job due to what happened to me. It's left me with very little trust and I went into a severe depression after what happened... so I know I'm not in the best mind frame.
I accepted an esthetics position almost an hour away from where I live. The position is in Westchester. Pay is $120 for the day, 20% on services and 10% on products. Okay, I felt that was decent. I only trained with her for 2 weeks at maybe 3 days a week because I have 12 years experience and she really needed me on the schedule. I was very excited to start, but felt uneasy after I had to sit and watch almost 5 facials 1 day, but whatever, she's type A control, methodical and I need a damn job.
I started taking clients and realized how inexpensive services are. $85 for a regular facial, $115 for a vitamin C peel, etc. My waxing services are also not that expensive. Mind you, my specialty is waxing, and she knows this. I was very disappointed and I felt that since I have a lot of experience, my services should be a little more. She has a tier system, and I was placed at tier 1. Tier 2, is the services range from $10- $20 more. On top of the obvious duties of performing services, we're also reception. So we do emails, phone calls, scheduling, check in/out, cleaning, inventory and stocking. Okay, fine. It's a lot but it is what it is. I also found a letter from the old employee I replaced saying she did not want to enter a contract with my employer to be placed up a tier. That definitely didn't sit well with me. No one should have to be contracted to receive a raise if they're doing good work.
Anyway, this lady has been saying she's increasing service prices and products... okay cool, maybe I'll start to get a little more mula and I'll stick with this as long as I can, because the commute isn't for me anymore but again, survival. We have our meeting for her to fill us in on pricing, she didn't necessarily say how much services were going up, but I'd venture to say anywhere from $10-$20...because anything more would be a massive jump. She's dropping our service commission. Instead of 20% we will all be at 18%. Then said that allows room for growth so maybe in a year we can go up to 19% and longer, 20%.
Thank God I called out because I would've kicked this woman in her camel and left. I was on the meeting via phone because I called out sick, and still did this fucking meeting. I've had it. I feel so disgusted and disrespected at this point by people in this industry. We're keeping our 10% on products which is also going up, but it doesn't sit right with me. Aside from the other 2 women I work with being there maybe 2 years...thats shitty. But as for me, a 12 year veteran wjth extensive knowledge and skill, who you have received nothing but amazing reviews about, who can do a Brazilian in less than 20 minutes with soft wax, who's trained on manzillians, who's absolutely killing products sales.... you fuckin selfish bitch. That's how I feel. I feel beyond betrayed and looked down. And I've just fucking had it.
And the woman has hyped us up about making more money for over 2 weeks... seriously

I've googled local businesses, but most websites don't specify services for men. Anyone have experience in this area?

I was recently looking into waxing, and of course various waxing salons offer bikini/brazilian waxing with the option of leaving a triangle or "landing strip".
I began to wonder, how did this come to be? seeing that pubic hair is not really something people talk to others about.

Just added all the dollar prices for the complete series of books, three colors and all, found in Amazon, E-Bay, Tiendamia. To bring them to my country today is over 12,000 BRL (Brazilian Real) including taxes, ouch!
It's about 2,300 USD, so this value waxes and wanes for us.
Just as a comparison, the minimum monthly wage in Brazil today is exactly 1,412 BRL or 271, 53 USD.
Is it THIS expensive to you, as well, to get this system's books?

I’m so thankful na nage-exist ang service na ito. Super sarap sa pakiramdam, palaging fresh. Wala lang. Naisip ko lang bigla kasi kakapa-Brazilian wax ko lang last Friday tapos 9km brisk walking ng Saturday. Walang naiipit na hair and walang makati kahit pawis na haha.
I always do mine sa Laybare (I know, a lot will disagree, but I realized depende siya sa branch and wax professionals. Personally, I love the Gateway and C&B Branch). I love how they take care of my 🐱 and ensure that I’m not hurt. Super linis pa ng waxing, pati sa underarm.
Ang problem ko lang now is paano ako magiging fresh palagi pagdating sa face. I have very oily skin, so medyo mahirap gawan ng paraan. Kahit yung Clean & Clear tsaka Gatsby blotting papers hindi umuubra. Kaka-pat ko lang sa mukha, maya-maya meron na naman 🥲

Hi! I’m planning on getting a bikini wax- Brazilian (with a landing strip) on Monday(13th) & planning to go to the beach on Saturday(18th). I have eczema (sensitive skin) & curly hair (prone to ingrowns despite using the scrub/exfoliater & moisturizer for your private) .. is that enough time to ‘heal’ to go to the beach?
I haven’t scheduled my appointment yet- I want to make sure I have enough time for my pores to properly close to enjoy the beach. Would it be better to just shave & get a wax after the beach?
