2024.05.17 18:55 EJC28 Commanders 2024 Draft Analysis Compilation

Round 1, Pick 2 - Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU:
NFL: It’s rare to find a quarterback prospect with A+ arm talent and rushing ability. Daniels was surrounded by talented playmakers at LSU, but I’d argue he was the biggest playmaker on that offense. He is the prototypical, new-school quarterback as a dynamic athlete who is a refined pocket passer with the touch, accuracy and timing to consistently drop passes in the bucket on deep throws.
CBS Sports: A. I love this pick. It’s a great situation for a rookie. The team has a new owner, coach and now quarterback. They can grow together. He will be the best QB in this class.
ESPN: In Adam Peters' first draft as Commanders' general manager, he opted for Daniels over J.J. McCarthy and Drake Maye. If Peters got the right man then Washington finally will have a solution to a quarterback problem that has plagued them for decades. Peters' pick will always be judged by the success, or failure, of McCarthy and Maye -- though far less so if Daniels thrives in Washington. If Daniels becomes the quarterback they hope, Washington could finally end decades of subpar play on the field. Its .399 winning percentage over the past 10 years is better than only five teams. The organization has not won 10 games since it last had a dual-threat rookie quarterback in 2012 -- Robert Griffin III. He energized the fan base unlike any player in recent memory, and the hope for Washington is that Daniels will do the same. But the Commanders need that fire to burn longer than one year, as it did with Griffin.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Has been able to fart on command since he was 9.
Round 2, Pick 36 - Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois:
NFL: The Commanders clearly read the comment above this one. They'll happily take Newton, who is a ferocious scheme-wrecker as a 3-technique and probably should have gone higher than this. They might have bypassed offensive tackle for now, with no talent worth taking here, but they interestingly are pretty stocked at defensive tackle.
CBS Sports: A+. Serious talent at DT. Powerful, polished upfield rusher with stellar hand work. Pad level raises at times but that’s nitpicking. Need meets awesome value here for Washington.
ESPN: Washington did not need a defensive tackle, and clearly have some key holes to fill, but the Commanders opted for the best player available in taking Newton. Washington drafted Phidarian Mathis in be the second round two years ago, but he has yet to make an impact playing behind Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne. They also have John Ridgeway, but beyond that they needed more help. Another key: Allen has no more guaranteed money on his contract, which runs through 2025, so the team could move on from him after this season. As a result, Newton can help this season, but take on an even bigger role in the future.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: He once ate cottage cheese on pizza, it wasn’t that bad.
Round 2, Pick 50 - Mike Sainristil, CB, Michigan:
NFL: One day, Sainristil will be your favorite nickel back's favorite nickel back. Scouts love the guy in spite of his smaller, leaner frame and despite switching over from receiver only a few years ago. His football instincts are extremely sound, and his intangibles are off the charts. This is a terrific pick for a franchise bent on completely remaking the football culture in Washington.
CBS Sports: B+. Pesky nickel CB with flexibility, instincts, and a high motor. Can beat some blockers en route to the football. Reasonable twitch and plus zone awareness. Exactly the type of playmaker the Commanders need. Tackling good, not amazing. Maybe a touch early.
ESPN: Washington's cornerbacks struggled last season. The Commanders signed three corners in free agency, but needed more players who could compete for starting roles. Sainristil will do just that, though he would play in the slot, where there also was a need. Quan Martin started in the slot at the end of the season, but the second-year pro can also play safety. Sainristil also showed he can take the ball away in college with seven interceptions. Washington needs more players like that in the secondary.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Has a flask of water that was blessed by an Alaskan Medicine Man.
Round 2, Pick 53 - Ben Sinnott, TE, Kansas State:
NFL: The newfangled Commanders seem to get this draft thing. Their three Day 2 picks so far have all been personal favorites, including Sinnott, whom I appeared to be higher on than some other media draft folks. He's got some Mark Andrews to his game, as Sinnott can find open spaces readily, has reliable hands and will break tackles in the passing game. He also gives good effort as a blocker.
CBS Sports: A+. Love this pick. Athletic, explosive athlete. Clearly the second-best receiving TE in this class. YAC skill is outstanding. Strong hands. Just not a true burner down the seam. Will be a go-to target for Jayden Daniels.
ESPN: Washington needed more versatility at tight end, which is what Sinnott provides. He can help as a tight end, but, at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, he has the size to help as a blocker from the fullback position as well. He also showed he could catch, with 49 receptions for 676 yards and six touchdowns. The Commanders needed another tight end with pass-catching potential to pair with Zach Ertz. Washington also has John Bates, but he's more of a blocker. Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury likes to use a lot of two tight end sets so adding someone else who can catch was a must.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Applied to be on Survivor, but doesn’t like sand.
Round 3, Pick 67 - Brandon Coleman, OG, TCU:
NFL: He was announced as a guard, interestingly, which is not where Coleman played primarily last year -- and tackle is certainly the biggest worry in Washington. But he did see time at guard, too, and has the athleticism to work in a Kliff Kingsbury offense predicated on OL movement.
CBS Sports: A. Big, girthy OT who probably kicks into guard at next level. Measurables are impressive and he’s a special mover for his size. Weapon at the second level because of that combination. Burst and finishing ability. Can recover and hand work is polished. Lateral quickness a bit slow at times. Love this pick for Washington after Daniels in Round 1.
ESPN: Washington has spent the offseason trying to rebuild and fix its offensive line. The Commanders added two starters via free agency in center Tyler Biadasz and guard Nick Allegretti. Coleman now can help at tackle, though he also started games at guard while at TCU. But the immediate need remains at tackle so the Commanders need him to fill that void. Washington cut former starting left tackle Charles Leno Jr., and does not have a full-time replacement on the roster -- which is why they need Coleman to work out. Also, Washington drafted a tackle in the fourth round last season in Braeden Daniels, but he struggled in training camp and eventually was placed on injured reserve with a rotator cuff injury. He did not show he could be a future starter last summer.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: THIS TRUE FACT BROUGHT TO YOU BY DRAFT KINGS: The crown is yours.
Round 3, Pick 100 - Luke McCaffrey, WR, Rice:
NFL: GM Adam Peters came from San Francisco, where they had another guy with the same last name. This McCaffrey is a converted QB who has settled in nicely at receiver, able to translate his football IQ and athleticism into production. He has good hands, likely will work best in the slot and is regarded as a future coach. Another culture pick for Washington.
CBS Sports: B+. Older wideout with obvious NFL bloodlines. Juice galore and can separate because of his jagged movements in the route. Salesmanship is there at times too. Not a YAC freak but will make cuts without losing speed with the ball in his hands. Length and physicality hurt him. Good hands in traffic. Nice weapon here.
ESPN: McCaffrey provides needed depth at receiver. Beyond Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson, Washington had too many questions at this position. And Dotson has not yet ascended to the level the organization hoped when it drafted him in the first round two years ago. At 6-foot-2, McCaffrey gives Daniels a bigger target from the slot -- Peters likes his quickness inside. McCaffrey started his career as a Nebraska quarterback and ended it as a receiver at Rice.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Pick #100. Buckle up. Only 157 more to go.
Round 5, Pick 139 - Jordan Magee, LB, Temple:
NFL: If Magee is protected well up front, he can fly around and make plays with his energetic style. But his slender frame and lack of take-on strength might limit him to passing-down duty and special teams.
CBS Sports: A-. High-cut plus athlete at the off-ball LB spot. Starter athleticism with requisite length. Inconsistent beating blocks. Can avoid them with them at times but not a calling card. Has the frame and athleticism to be a quality coverage ‘backer just doesn’t have much experience doing so to date. Range is there.
ESPN: Washington has spent the offseason rebuilding its linebacker core, adding starters Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu as well as backups Anthony Pittman and Mykal Walker. They also still have Jamin Davis. So Magee will have work to do in order to make the roster and contribute -- most likely on special teams. Magee has experience playing special teams. The Commanders have focused in part on adding good leaders and Magee was a two-time team captain at Temple. He started for three seasons and led the team in tackles each of the past two years. Last season he also had a team-high 14 tackles for a loss and was tied for most sacks with 3.5.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Went on a 2 week road trip following the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile.
Round 5, Pick 161 - Dominique Hampton, S, Washington:
NFL: Hampton took a longer path to success with the Huskies but developed into a good hitter with experience at multiple spots. Scouts debated where his NFL home might be on defense, but at the very least he carries good special teams experience into the league.
CBS Sports: B-. One of the best overall athletes at the safety spot in this class. Explosive, bend, suddenness, it’s all there. Play ID’ing skill should be sharper given he was at Washington for six years. Wants to be part of the action just very boom-or-bust as a tackler. Will find it in the air but not a man-coverage specialist.
ESPN: Washington has a core of young safeties with Darrick Forrest, Jartavius Martin and Percy Butler, plus veterans in Jeremy Chinn and Jeremy Reaves. The Commanders did not have a need for another safety to provide immediate help, but they could use one to develop, and that's where Hampton enters. His size -- 6-foot-2, 215 pounds -- is a good starting point. Any help in Year 1 would come on special teams -- he was named the most outstanding special teams player at Washington in 2021. He spent six years with the Huskies, starting the last two and led the team in tackles this past season. He also showed versatility, playing some corner for the Huskies.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Keeps a massive scratch and sniff sticker collection.
Round 7, Pick 222 - Javontae Jean-Baptiste, DE, Notre Dame:
NFL: An ideal camp-competition pick, JJB is a middling athlete with some stiffness, but he showed improvement as a super senior and ran back a blocked kick for a touchdown last season.
CBS Sports: A-. Started at Ohio State and plays like an ascending defender because of his athleticism, bend, and glimmer of pass-rush moves around the corner. But is an older prospect already. Plus athlete. Has to get stronger. Plenty of length. Nice roll of the dice.
ESPN: The Commanders signed three edge rushers in the offseason, but only Dorance Armstrong received a multi-year contract. They do have two young holdovers from last year's draft class in KJ Henry and Andre Jones Jr. Jean-Baptiste will challenge those two for a roster spot. Jean-Baptiste spent six years in college football -- the first five at Ohio State and last year at Notre Dame. He was a reserve for the Buckeyes but started for the Irish and led the team with 10.5 tackles for a loss and five sacks. He had the seventh fastest 40-time (4.66 seconds) among defensive ends at the combine.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Actually wanted to be a kicker but that didn’t work out so he’s this position.

2024.05.16 17:06 basic_cookie_crumb Great news today

Before are my numbers from April 6. My diet consisted of cottage cheese, 3 to 4 eggs at a time, cheese, big portions. I had surgery in February to remove a fibroid, and before my surgery, I was still consuming alcohol, big portions, and cheese and every now and then.
When I found out about these numbers, I completely changed my world in a matter of minutes. I began researching, and looking up foods to eat and not to eat, and decided to start counting my calories.
My doctor put me on 10 mg of Lipitor beginning April 10
I tested again, May 13, and I received my results with the green, flying colors. My diet has insanely improved since and before, then, eating very minimal, no red meat, no processed sugars, and counting my calories by the gram and eating maximum 1600 cal a day. I’m currently working with an nutritionist as she believes that I’m eating less than what I should, because , my main job is working at an airport so I’m always lifting luggage up to 20+ pounds, pushing heavy machinery and overall a very physical job.
I’m very happy with my results, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to celebrate with huge pizza or anything like that. This is a lifestyle for me now and I intend to keep it this way, and I hope you guys found some motivation from my results. Granted, everyone and every body different , and these are just my results
I use the Lose It! app and it helps me tremendously and I make conscious good choices, but occasionally will indulge in white bread or cheese.

2024.05.15 20:49 wasntme420 Last update in my cancer-cstion that you all helped me with!

Last post here: https://www.reddit.com/MontereyBay/s/CAVt4gBIMJ
We had an amazing trip thank you for all the suggestions! Here's how the trip panned out:
Drive down:
First stop in pescadero at arcangeli grocery for yummy artichoke garlic sourdough. We were going to go to Harleys farms for fresh goat cheese and baby goats, but we weren't able to make it before they closed.
Next stop pie ranch. Unfortunately, we were also too late for any fresh pies or baked good. But bought some frozen chocolate pies which ended up not being that great. Would love to stop by here at an earlier time to get some fresh baked stuff.
Stopped at shark fin beach which was where I found some of my first shells and found a ceab in some little tide pools! Hold on to the end to see what I did with the shells.
On our way to the air bnb in carmel valley, we stop at iliolis and grabbed a pizza. The air bnb was great and secluded but it was really far out there and not super convenient. This is the one thing I would change, I would have gotten a room at one of the cute hotels in carmel-by-the-sea. Much more central and easier to go back to the room if you need to.
Saturday
Headed out to point lobos for opening at 8 and the tide pools. Saw so many hermit crabs and a pool full of sea urchins.
Headed to carmel by the sea and got breakfast at one of the cafes ( I can't remember which one) I stopped at the three major bakeries there and got deserts for later that night. The lobster tail we got from one bakery and the cookie/croisannt from another one were my favorite.
Walked through the town and headed to the beach. Walked out on the beach for a little bit and then looked for the cottages.
Stopped in at the mission carmel and then grabbed lunch at one of the delis someone recommended (blanking on the name). Headed to lovers point beach for lunch, had to fight off a seagull from stealing my food and saw my first beechy squirrel which has 0 fear of humans.
Headed back to point lobos to check out some more beaches since we paid for the day and then back to our air bnb for a nap.
Dinner at sur at the ranch
Sunday
We had planned a horseback ride in carmel valley but the guy canceled on us the night before. Holding my breath to see if he actually refunds my deposit. We found a place near by us that we are going to reschedule that activity at a more reputable place. So we pivoted, took our time and headed out to breakfast at from scratch, which turned out to be closed. So we headed to the butter house, which had 106 ppl on their waiting list and a 2 hour wait. However, someone working there heard us asking to confirm that was correct and told us it was open seating at the bar and there were open seats. We got right in! French toast was delicious but biscuits and gravy were a little disappointing.
Headed to the monterey bay aquarium that a reditor gifted us tickets for! So grateful. Neither of us had been before so it was really cool to check out. Walked down cannery row and got some souvenirs for the kids.
Started the drive home and stopped at a farm stand where I spent $8 and got so much produce!
Stopped at the rip tide outlet and found some amazing deals. My husband lovingly let me know it was time to start wearing hats due to my chemo hair loss and I got 3 hats for $30 all together that are normally $30 each.
Stopped at a beach just before shark fin cove and shell hunted for teeny tiny shells and sea glass for at least an hour.
Last stop was the famous taco bell in Pacifica. I felt gross after... but was so hungry!
What did I do with the shells? I took teeny tiny glass bottles and put the teeny tiniest of the shells and sea glass into the bottles. Gave them to my kids and told them if a day ever comes that I'm not here to be able to go to the beach with them, they can bring these glass jars and I'll be there with them.

My teen came to me a few months ago and asked if they could adopt rats. For a few reasons, we waited until now to get them. We've spent the time trying to learn about their needs and what to expect. We also tortured ourselves almost daily looking at all the cuties posted here.
We went through a rat rescue that works in our region, and drove about 6 hrs round trip to pick them up. Part of me thought I was a little crazy to drive that far for 'some rats' but I'm so glad we did. We got a pair of sisters about 10 weeks old. I was told they're on the petite side, but they're total sweethearts and very outgoing. I love their fur colors. Hazel has all these different shades of brown and black (agouti?), while Roci is smaller and more black with silver hairs mixed in and has a cool small white marking on her belly.
They've been with us now for about a week and their (BIG) personalities are really starting to show. (I've become kinda obsessed ngl.)
They're absolute chaos potatoes! They're fearless and LOVE to explore. We started with smaller budget cage and within a few days I was already sick of it and ordered a DCN. What a difference of a cage both for me and for them! They're living like little queens.
A few random thoughts on how fun they are:
  1. We love giving them new foods to check out. They're huge fans of cottage cheese and stealing bites of pizza.
  2. We've accepted we are their personal jungle gyms. In their eyes, we exist only to ferry them around to explore new places. (As it should be)
  3. They LOVE their silent runner wheel. Hazel has soooo much energy, she's on it all the time. It is so intense watching them 'fight' over who gets to use it. Hazel wins only because she's a bit bigger than Roci, and has flung her sister out of it. So *sigh* I ordered another one so they can both become the track stars they were meant to be. (But Roci still kicks her butt outside of the wheel)
  4. Even my 'grump' of a husband who 'never wanted the responsibility of pets' has caved and admitted he likes them. He comes to say hi to them and was the one to told me to splurge and get the double critter nation cage and extra wheel. He's been a great sport humoring our new obsession.
Anywhoo thanks for reading! We're so excited they joined our family. :)

2024.05.10 15:43 boutell New US and Canadian CHAdeMO chargers in April 2024

Welcome to the March new chargers report, fellow Chadoomers!
Almost all of you are my fellow Leaf owners, hoping for just one new chargepoint on your favorite route, before the great dwarven CHAdeMO forges beneath the earth go cold for all time. Here's an update.
Here are all of the new US and Canadian CHAdeMO (Leaf fast-charging) stations that rolled out in April, according to the Alternative Fuels Data Center. You can fetch the data yourself here. Feel free to report inaccuracies to the AFDC.
For comparison's sake: in the US, there were 200 "new" (or updated) CHAdeMO stations added in March, with at least 200 chargepoints. To put it in perspective, there were 102 new or updated US stations in April of 2023. This month's report is surprisingly strong, given how late we are in CHAdeMO's lifecycle. It is unclear if this is due to a large number of refreshed stations, or a large rollout of new stations that happen to include at least one CHAdeMO chargepoint, but it may be the latter thanks to Inflation Reduction Act funding. In any case, it is good news for those of us with legacy vehicles.
Keep in mind that even EVGo has started to roll out stations where only some of the bays support CHAdeMO. This makes sense given that only Nissan still sells a CHAdeMO pure-battery-electric car in the US, and the newer Nissan Ariya model is CCS. The Mitsubishi Plug-In Hybrid Outlander PHEV also supports CHAdeMO.
Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
If you'd like to know about new chargers along your routes right away, or reading these monthly reports is just frustrating in your state, I've set up a free service that provides email notifications only when new stations actually open. You can sign up at evpov.com. I built it to help EV owners like myself (especially my fellow Leaf owners). You can pick other plug types as well.
To streamline this post, multi-chargepoint locations are listed with the number of chargepoints first. Some stations may actually have more CHAdeMO chargepoints than reported here, but most won't, because even EVGo has started to reduce the number of CHAdeMO chargepoints per station. So in the case of CHAdeMO I make a pessimistic assumption to avoid creating unrealistic expectations.
Even so, for actual trip planning I recommend using PlugShare. This report is mainly useful to understand trends.
If you get a chance, do check out reported new stations near you and add PlugShare reviews, which helps everyone.

2024.05.10 15:33 boutell New US and Canadian CCS chargers in April 2024

Here are all (*) of the new US and Canadian CCS (Level 3 fast-charging) stations that rolled out in April 2024, according to the Department of Energy. You can get the data yourself here.
These chargers are suitable for most new EVs on the market, except for:
  1. Tesla drivers who haven't bought the official CCS adapter yet. Certain older Teslas need additional work done to accept the adapter.
  2. Leaf owners like me, owners of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, and some owners of older cars that also use CHAdeMO. If you drive such a car, see my matching post in leaf.
Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
There were 330 CCS charging stations with a total of 682 chargepoints added or refreshed in April 2024, which is a major uptick in both stations and chargepoints. There were only 166 new CCS charging stations in April 2023, with only 267 chargepoints. Things are trending dramatically upwards.
Some part of this is due to Tesla Magic Dock stations. Previously Tesla didn't report these to the AFDC as CCS, but now they do. And that makes sense because all CCS drivers can use them.
NOTE: most Tesla Superchargers do NOT have magic dock as of this writing (all those shown in this report should have it). I recommend using PlugShare to locate compatible stations for your vehicle.
(*) "What about other Tesla Superchargers? Can't everybody charge with NACS now?"
It's coming for many makes and models, and for newer Ford models as well as a few other manufacturers charging at v3 and v4 Superchargers is already an option with a free adapter from the automakers. GM should release their adapter in the coming weeks. But since they are not open to all CCS vehicles, this report is not the place for them. Tesla's app provides the best guide to their locations, including locations that work with non-Tesla vehicles.
Other Notes
To streamline this post, multi-chargepoint locations are listed with the number of chargepoints first.
For serious trip planning, I recommend PlugShare. But by all means check out these reported new locations and submit reviews on PlugShare, which makes things better for everyone.
If you'd like to know about new chargers along your routes right away, or just prefer not to check this list monthly when new openings are rare in your area, I've set up a free service that provides email notifications as soon as they open. You can sign up at evpov.com. Or not! I don't really have a business plan here, I built it to help EV owners like myself. PlugShare has a similar feature.

2024.05.06 18:23 SpiritedBat896 I've been going to doctors for over three months now and no one is giving me clear answers

I am 23 years old, male, 195 cm - 100 kg. Alcohol use five years ago. Smoked a lot of vape. Eastern Europe. To make a long story short, I have some basic questions.
Can gastritis cause skin rashes?
Can gastritis provoke problems with the nervous system?
If so, why haven't I had this before, but I'm pretty sure I've had gastritis before?
Disclamer: I am not a doctor and realize that my assumptions may be wrong. The names of the drugs I mention below are sold in Eastern Europe (where I live). If you notice any mistakes, I apologize, I used a translator to translate all this. All the photos and test results https://imgur.com/a/6X5IlpN
My medical history has been going on for over three months now and I still don't know what is wrong with me.
In February 2024 I started having anxious thoughts, my state was anxious without objective reasons. Mostly the anxiety was due to the fact that I was afraid of going crazy. Around the same time I noticed strange rashes on my skin similar to cropivnica. The rashes didn't itch. I had never had this before. I did not pay attention to the rashes on my skin because they were small and did not bother me. I went to a neurologist and had an ultrasound of the blood vessels in my head and neck. If it is important, I will add a photo.
The ultrasound showed that I have everything bad, but I have a suspicion that it was incorrect because I did a second ultrasound two weeks later and it showed everything normal. The doctor who did the ultrasound the second time said that the results of the first ultrasound were absolutely delusional, this was confirmed by the neurologist. But I should also clarify that I have been sedentary for the past 8 months, although I have been walking almost every day for a few hours. In addition, I have been smoking vape VERY heavily. After the first ultrasound I went to a neurologist and she prescribed me medication:
Anxiomedin 1 time a day at 18:00.
Sonomedin once a day at 20:00.
Bafazol 3 times a day.
Videk once a day.
Thiocetam forte once a day.
I started the course around February 25
On March 7 I started having atypical rashes, they were slightly larger and slightly swollen. I noticed them first thing in the morning. I was a little sick during those days and the previous evening I had taken 6 Strepsils Intensive tablets (throat medicine) in 6 hours. I don't know if it was related to the rash on my skin. I took an antihistamine at 4pm, 2 hours later I ate pizza, then after some more time I got more rashes, it was 10pm and the rash started to appear all over my body except my face (maybe a little). I called an ambulance and they gave me 2 shots of dexamethasone, but it didn't help. After an hour I went to the hospital and they gave me 2 more shots of dexamethasone and 2 shots of dimedrol. The rash started to disappear little by little. In the morning there were still traces (photo). After that incident I went to my allergist, but she said she didn't know what was wrong with me. She prescribed me Enterosorbent for 5 days and Eden for 10 days. And by this point I was taking a course of medication from my neurologist, she prescribed it to me for 3 months. The rashes continued, they were mostly small red dots. At some point I noticed that the rashes appear especially when I sweat. It didn't matter if I was wearing clothes or not. The rashes are mostly on my arms, less often on my legs, even less often on my torso and almost never on my neck or face. The rashes are absolutely not itchy. I have noticed that if I wash and go to bed, the rashes disappear and do not reappear. Every evening, even if I have a lot of rashes, they disappear in the morning. The rashes do not appear in places where sweat is secreted.
On March 31, I went to a dermatologist and she ordered tests. General blood test, blood chemistry, blood test for hepatitis, hormone test, thyroid ultrasound and stool test for helminths. (Results pictured.)
When I saw I had elevated bilirubin I decided to see a gastroenterologist. The gastroenterologist palpated a bunch of bile from me and said it was intoxication. YAY, I was very relieved that I had finally found the cause of my problem. Also, the gastroenterologist said to do a gastroscopy (I have a white tongue) and an ultrasound of the abdominal cavity. (Photo of the results)
She prescribed me Rabimac and Trimspa (trimebutine maleate). And also a diet. Diet:
5 meals a day of 250 grams.
It is forbidden to eat: canned food, coffee, confectionery, pork, bread, sausages, carbonated drinks, juices.
I also stopped taking all the medications I was taking before.
Almost immediately I felt better. My mental and physical condition became better, the rashes on my skin became noticeably less, but not completely gone. I had an abdominal ultrasound and gastroscopy about a week later. I was found to have inflammation throughout my stomach but no Helicobacter Hillori was detected. I can add a picture of the gastroscopy if needed. I went to my gastroenterologist again and she prescribed me 2 more medications, Artigel and Hyalera. The doctor felt my stomach again and there was significantly less bile, but the rash was still there. So far I am half way through the course I was prescribed for a month. I broke my diet a few times and may not have been eating right or eating more than normal and I thought the rashes were getting worse because of that. But there was also a day when I ate right all day with cooked chicken, cottage cheese, sour cream, yogurt and the next day I had quite a few rashes all over my body. Can the fact that I ate all day foods containing a lot of protein be connected with the rashes? But these rashes like all the others went away the same day.
2 weeks ago I went to a proctologist (I had an itchy anus). He said that according to my tests I might have Gilbert's syndrome and recommended me to consult another gastroenterologist about it. The proctologist said there was nothing wrong with my anus and beyond, btw.
I went to another gastroenterologist and he said he agreed that I may have Gilbert's syndrome, but he also said that my rashes are not caused by gastritis.
So, can someone tell me roughly what is wrong with me? Or am I right that the rashes could be caused by gastritis? Maybe someone can tell me what else to look for? All the photos and test results https://imgur.com/a/6X5IlpN

Now Reading: Sanditon (May 6- May 20)
Welcome, JABC members! I hope you all enjoyed Lady Susan. It is now time to read the unfinished novel that started our journey here, Sanditon. Jane Austen only managed to finish eleven chapters (and start a twelfth) before she unfortunately became too ill to continue writing, but the story she conveyed continues to inspire many of us today.
Our assignment for the next two weeks will be to read the entire Sanditon fragment. Questions of the Day will be posted, but please feel free to use this thread to discuss anything that crosses your mind while reading.

Some things about the Sanditon fragment you may not know:

  • The manuscript shows that Jane Austen started writing Sanditon on January 27, 1817. The last page is marked March 18. She called the novel The Brothers.
  • In 1805, Jane and her mother, sister, and friend spent at least a month and a half in the seaside town of Worthing, England, which was a fishing village before becoming a fashionable resort. While there, Jane met and befriended the Worthing entrepreneur Edward Ogle, on whom Sanditon's Tom Parker is based.
Austen and her party stayed in this cottage (then known as Stanford's Cottage) during their trip to Worthing. Yes, today it is a Pizza Express.
The Worthing seaside today
Warwick House, the home of Edward Ogle in Worthing. Trafalgar House was likely based on this home. Sadly Warwick House is no longer standing.
  • Other visitors to Worthing in Austen's day included several royals, even the Prince of Wales (whom Austen famously disliked), and Lord Byron.
  • Jane Austen's nephew James Edward Austen-Leigh first published a summary of Sanditon (which he titled The Last Work) in his book Memoir of Jane Austen. Sanditon was not published in full until R.W. Chapman, a scholar and book collector, published it in 1925 under the title Fragment of a Novel.
  • Sanditon has been "finished" or continued by others many times, including by Jane Austen's own niece Anna Austen Lefroy in around 1840.
As always, links to read and/or listen to the book for free are available in the subreddit's menu/sidebar, as is our current schedule.
Happy reading!

2024.05.03 22:16 hollenix another pizza variant, HOMEMADE PIZZA ROLL

another pizza variant, HOMEMADE PIZZA ROLL
i was never a big pizza roll fan so i wasn't imitating anything in particular, but i saw a video where someone cut those baby tortillas in half to make some and i was SO INSPIRED, Y'ALL THIS WAS SO GOOD
i used low carb baby tortillas and cut one in half, folded it over a well spiced glob o' cottage cheese and half a grape tomato sliced up (ok i won't lie that was jank asf i don't own any pizza sauce 💀), then thoroughly crimped the edges with a fork, garliced up the top, and popped it in the airfryer!
easy, fun, low cal, and very good 😁 you could definitely add real marinara/pizza sauce, any other cheese, an oil/butteegg wash on top, and any pizza toppings and i'm sure it'd be even better!
