Hello there! My name is Brian, and I am interested in this Reddit group because Hell's Kitchen is one of my favorite TV shows. I am particularly fond of the Thailand variant since I have experience visiting a Thai restaurant.
For those of you who don't know, I work on Hell's Kitchen fanon projects as part of the community.
I have been thinking about the new contestants, head chefs, sous chefs, and maître d’hôtel. If it were up to me, Hell's Kitchen would take place in Tokyo instead of Los Angeles/Las Vegas, since Japan is a popular tourist destination. In this version, Gordon Ramsay would not be featured, but instead, he would appear as a guest judge in future episodes.
Interestingly, none of the contestants would have any culinary experience, and they would be aged between 21-35 and come from different parts of the world. I am anticipating the presence of a main protagonist, a main antagonist, some supporting characters, and a few minor characters.
Lastly, I would not include their last names to protect their privacy.

Kim, 40, Boston, Massachusetts: Kim is one of the head chefs that Jake hired, and she acts as his right-hand woman during services. Unlike her co-workers Jake, Eleanor, Lola, and Renata, Kim is always calm and collected and never gets angry, even when chefs make mistakes. She is generally a charming and cheerful person who provides chefs with advice and encouragement to help them succeed during dinner service and any challenges that may arise.
Eleanor, 71, New York City, New York: Eleanor is one of the head chefs hired by Jake and she acts as his right-hand woman during services. She is generally more subdued than Jake and Renata, but she has her limits. When she is pushed, she will lash out at any chef who disrespects her. She can also become rude and annoyed when chefs are being unprofessional and talking back to her. However, overall, Eleanor is a nice and helpful person. She has a lot of cooking experience in the past, and is known for preparing restaurant-quality dishes.
Lola, 48, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico: Lola is one of the head chefs hired by Jake. She acts as his right-hand woman during services, and holds the same high standards as Jake. Lola often gets irritated by contestants' constant mistakes. However, she is not as subdued as Kim, Eleanor, and Renata. She has her limits, and when pushed, she will lash out at any chef who disrespects her. Lola becomes stern when the chefs aren't doing their jobs properly. She easily gets angry, uses vulgar language, and is sarcastic when a chef is not professional, makes mistakes, or fails to meet Jake's standards. Despite this, Lola is generally kind and humorous.
Renata, 42, Berea, Ohio: Renata is one of the head chefs hired by Jake. She acts as his right-hand woman during services, holding the same high standards as Jake. However, she can become irritated by the constant mistakes made by the contestants. While she is more subdued than Jake and Eleanor, she has her limits when pushed and would lash out at any disrespectful contestant. Her behavior is often passive-aggressive. Renata becomes stern when the contestants don't take the competition seriously. Her criticisms can be considered slightly or overly harsh, sometimes even taking a contestant's poor performance as a personal insult and berating them for their mistakes. Otherwise, Renata is generally respectful and polite. She is an expert in desserts.
Sous Chefs:
Wilson, 27, Union, Missouri: Wilson is Jake's Sous Chef and acts as his right-hand man during services. He holds the same high standards as Jake and gets irritated by the constant mistakes of contestants. Wilson is generally calm and composed, but he becomes stern when chefs fail to do their jobs properly. He warns them that he can be as aggressive and harsh on them as he won't tolerate poor performances leading to bad dinner services or losing challenges.
Lily, 32, Chicago, Illinois: Lily, the Sous Chef of Jake, serves as his main assistant during services. She shares the same standards as Jake and often gets frustrated by the constant mistakes of the contestants. Despite that, Lily is generally friendly and caring. However, she has her limits, and if disrespected, she will become stern and lash out at the chefs. She is known to lose her temper with chefs who do not perform their jobs adequately during dinner services or in challenges.
Maître d’hôtel:
Louise, 34, Toronto, Canada: Louise was one of the most respected and loveable staff in the history of the show. As the Maître d'hôtel at Hell's Kitchen, she served at the front of the house and often handed out tickets to Jake. If there was a tableside dish, she was responsible for instructing the assigned chefs on how to make it, due to her vast experience in cooking. However, she would get upset with the chefs when they made mistakes that resulted in customer complaints.
Conclusion:
I have created a detailed summary for my upcoming project. I plan to release the first episode when I can find some free time. It will either premiere after the conclusion of Hell's Kitchen Thailand or at a time that I believe is appropriate. This project will have more intense and unique rewards and punishments compared to the previous ones. As expected, none of the contestants will be nominated by the head chefs, and all of them will be eliminated properly, except for the Running the Pass Service. The head chefs are expecting two chefs before the finale. I also expected the teams to not be divided by gender. I would love to see friendships and romance develop between members of opposite genders. Furthermore, I'm excited to see how the best blue team and the worst red team in the show's history compare to previous seasons. There is going to be more drama, bad dinner services, and brutality, unlike Gordon Ramsay's version. As anticipated, there will be no punishment pass, Cook For Your Life Challenge, and Black Jackets Challenge because it would not be fair for certain chefs who wanted a reward and stayed in the competition for obvious reasons. The winner of this series will receive a prestigious head chef position at the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Restaurant in Sunway City, Kuala Lumpur, with a salary of $250,000. Interestingly, all the chefs who competed throughout the series will return for the finale to join one of the largest Final Service Brigades in the show's history. **TL;DR; I’m worried my boyfriend doesn’t find me attractive. To give some context - we have been dating for just under 1 year. He’s super sweet and shows a lot of love through actions (like helping out proactively without me asking, carrying things for me, opening doors, buying flowers, immediately changing any behaviour I say I don’t like etc) but not through words. For the first two months he didn’t give me a single compliment, but after this point randomly said “I just realised I never told you how beautiful you are”. I thought this was nice but it also got me thinking about it and why he hasn’t. He claims not to be a very verbal communicator, which I to some point can see. For further context, I’m not an unattractive woman. I’ve been told I look like a blond, more athletic Barbara Palvin many times, as well as a blond Natalie Portman. My point isn’t whether or not that is 100% true, but more that I am not ugly and often get told by others that I am very good looking. I’ve gotten asked to model many times but I am personally really turned off by things that I find very superficial, so I’ve said no. I also have an athletic body type, and am toned but do not have massive boobs that I feel many men may be drawn to.
When this worry initially came up I decided to look through his Instagram followers (just a few as he follows a lot of people) to see if he was the kind of guy who followed influencers. There were a handful of accounts of Instagram “models”. And I thought to myself “this must be what he finds attractive”. By this I mean the very artificial look; fake tan, lip filler, acrylics, hair extensions, big boobs etc - and to me it suddenly made sense why he never complimented me. I prefer a natural look and pride myself on natural beauty I’m also outdoorsy and climb a lot (so acrylics are a no go) but if this is what he likes there’s no way he is attracted to me. In addition I’m a creative person and my style is more fashion-y and subtly sexy than sexy sexy. He says he likes this, but I’m wondering if what he prefers is the overtly sexy (tight outfits, low cut etc). Part of the reason this bothers me is not because of jealousy (I like the way I am and don’t want to change) but to me there is something tasteless about these types of looks. And of course everything is personal preference and people should look how they want, but to me it says something about your values and interests. If he likes these things it also says something to me about how he views women and that maybe we have some core (and critical) differences in values that I shouldn’t overlook.
I confronted him about it. And after a few talks (initially I was trying to play it cool and didn’t let him know how much and why this made me uncomfortable) he unfollowed as many as he could and continued to unfollow the others as they popped up in his feed. And I know that he actually did do this.
Despite this, this still effects me. He compliments me rarely. We have talked about this and he makes an effort to do it more but says it doesn’t come naturally to him, which also comes across as the compliments seem stiff. Periodically he will struggle to finish when we “do it”, he blames this on stress (and to be fair this usually only happens when he’s running late for work already or similar situations). But I can’t help but think if he was with someone who looked like these girls he used to admire he would be complimenting her all the time and would be much happier and would never struggle to finish.
I love him and he’s great for me but I believe attraction is a big part of a relationship. I asked him about this too, saying I don’t understand how he can find that look and me attractive at the same time. First he said he didn’t find it attractive, but I pointed out that it made no sense to follow such accounts if he didn’t. He later admitted that he did find it attractive, but he finds lots of different looks attractive and that he followed those accounts when we was single and living semi off-grid (he works with outdoor sports and touring). I find this hard to believe (that he can find two so polar opposite looks attractive) and am stuck wondering if I should leave him, despite everything else being good. This has become a rift in our relationship and I’m struggling to see if I am being too black and white (and maybe a little dramatic) or if he really just doesn’t find my type of woman attractive.
Any thoughts? Is what he’s saying true or am I being lied to? And why do men find this very artificial look attractive?

So I heard someone during an interview allude to Elphicke being out of step with the rest of her old party on the issue of housing. So I did some reading of her previous positions and they do give some context to her defection that I wasn't aware of and hadn't seen anywhere else. So I thought I'd post it here.

The problem of housing is made infinitely worse by a shortage of housing caused by a shocking failure to build the homes we need. We have fewer available homes for our population than any other comparable developed nation. We have the smallest number of available properties per head of all OECD countries. We have the oldest housing stock in Europe, and we are burdened with the highest proportion of substandard and inadequate homes.

Blips, sags, dips or anything else less than a smooth, continuous flow of electricity aren't tolerated at Stream Data Centers' two computer server sites in suburban Chicago. The converted warehouse buildings host thousands of servers, backed up by banks of batteries and diesel generators.

"We're considered a mission-critical facility," said Stuart Lawrence, Stream Data's vice president for product innovation and sustainability. "The customers we're serving are very energy-conscious."
​
The company acquired more than 50 homes and businesses nearby that it has razed to make way for a new three-building data-center campus. Construction on the first building is expected to start next year.
​
Data-center developers are in the midst of a building boom spurred on by powerful new computer chips driving artificial intelligence-enabled products, such as ChatGPT, that sift through vast repositories of information and images to make decisions. AI servers are being layered on top of an already robust data-center market for cloud-based servers that empower consumers to remotely pay bills, purchase clothes, send emails or stream their favorite TV shows on computer screens.

U.S. data-center space expanded by 26% in 2023, according to real-estate firm CBRE, with a record amount under construction. Prices for available space continue to rise.
​
"I don't see the music stopping any time soon," said Nic Bustamante, chief technology officer for Corscale, a Houston-based developer and manager of data centers.
​
The usually staid market for outfitting data centers with generators, batteries, transformers and other electrical gear is being supercharged by the build-out. Companies including electric equipment makers Eaton, ABB, Schneider Electric and generator manufacturers Caterpillar and Cummins attribute rising electrical equipment sales to data centers' expansion.
​
Schneider last fall received a five-year, $3 billion contract from Dallas-based Compass Datacenters to provide prefabricated rooms with power management equipment that can be dropped into data centers under construction.
​
Engine maker Cummins recently said it expects sales from its power-generation business to increase by 10% to 15% this year, up from its previously forecast 5% to 10% growth. The company aims to expand production of 95-liter engines used for data-center generators.
​
"We're sold out on our 95-liter through 2025," Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Rumsey said.
​
At rival engine maker Caterpillar, sales of diesel engines for power generation grew to $6.4 billion in 2023, a 29% increase from 2022, driven by data-center sales. Sales of power-generating engines rose by another 26% during the first quarter of 2024.
​
Caterpillar plans to invest $725 million in its Lafayette, Ind., plant to expand production of large engines used to generate electricity.
​
"We see electric power as a growth business within Caterpillar. A big driver of that is the data-center business," said Jason Kaiser, president of energy and transportation for the construction and mining-equipment company.
​
Eaton reported recently that orders for data-center electrical gear have more than doubled over the past 12 months. "We are signing multiyear agreements with our customers to ensure that we have capacity in place to support the demand they need from us," CEO Craig Arnold told analysts on a conference call.
​
Backup power, air cooling, power distribution gear and other building systems account for as much as half the cost of constructing data centers, which typically ranges from $500 million to $1 billion each, according to developers. Large diesel-powered generators cost as much as $1.5 million each, with waits to get them from manufacturers stretching as long as two years.
​
"The challenge is having power available. You cannot have downtime and you cannot have a power outage," said Natalie Silva, critical power and sustainability leader for ABB.
​
Developer CloudHQ has more than 300 Caterpillar generators at seven data centers operating in Northern Virginia -- the nation's data-center hub -- and two additional sites under development there.
​
Generators and battery backups see sparse duty in most parts of the country. At CloudHQ's Virginia data centers, the generators typically turn on once or twice in a year in response to a full power outage and usually run for a minute or two before regular power service resumes.
​
CloudHQ's data centers draw power from their own electricity substations that are connected to electrical transmission lines, lowering the likelihood of a prolonged outage from storm damage that other businesses or houses may experience, Vice President Brian O'Hara said.
​
At one of Stream Data's suburban Chicago data centers, more than two dozen generators built by Cummins stand by to provide the 32 megawatts of electricity needed to maintain the center's servers and other systems.
​
The data center features four separate halls packed with rows of metal racks that hold the computer servers. The higher density of newer, more powerful computer chips and servers require about twice as much power a square foot in a data center as a decade ago.
​
If the center loses power, the servers would draw power instantaneously from banks of lithium ion batteries dedicated to each of the building's server halls. Short of an outright loss of power, the center's uninterruptible power supply also smooths out the momentary dips or other irregularities that regularly occur in the power supplied by a utility company.
​
"The servers have become less and less tolerant to the slight sags in power or brownouts," said Adam Compton, head of data-center strategy for Schneider Electric, the supplier of the uninterruptible power systems for Stream Data.

hello ! i thought it we be fun to post the wishlist i had for the episodes of season 5 about two years ago ( that's long time passed since we got the episode names ! ) i thought it would be fun to post it now . compared to what we actually got , do you prefer this at any point ? like , how would you feel if we got the actual season like this . i'm really curious to see what you think about it !

evolution : alex akumatized in past by the present monarch ( she was going to be timebreaker but she got akumatized into evolution ) gabriel using all of the miraculouses at once before akumatizing past alex and noticing the harm so he quickly decides to give the miraculous to others , gabriel finding a way to merge miraculouses and akumas . lila finding monarch's identity . getting back the rabbit miraculous and giving it to alex to keep it as bunnix .
multiplication : Mr. ramie akumatized . a new kind of charm to make people anti akumatized for ever and everrrrr( if you have it nearby ) , getting back the mouse miraculous . side note from 2024 : to make the charm actually make sense , i consider it as an upgrade to the magical charm .
destruction : lila telling gabriel that she knows his identity , lila akumatized , new cat noir powerup , ladybug telling cat noir about cat blanc at the end of episode , lila getting a lovecharm , gabriel and lila's alliance

conformation(the last day part 1): gabriel will do something very dangerous which is mixing the peacock miraculous into his body and making himself have the miraculous in his blood and this will make him so weak and almost making him get destroyed but also to control every sentimonster existed and will make them all disappear which includes felix and adrien . gabriel will make Natalie a more powerful catalyst to make himself scarlet monarch and will release a akuma that can even break the lovecharm ( he knew ho to break them since he already had gotten one in the episode revelation ) and will akumatize Parisians . there is none to support ladybug and she keeps panicking but her earrings are flashing so she decides to detransfrom rather than letting the supervillains to steal her earrings and once she thinks she has detransformed in a safe place , some supervillains will get her and her earrings to scarlet monarch .
recreation(the last day part 2 ): scarlet monarch will tell everything to Marinette/lady bug from the reason of doing all of this to the disappearance of sentimonsters . Marinette will find her miraculous again but will hide it so scarlet monarch can't get it . she will try to deakumtize the villains without her miraculous . she will deakumatize the most loyal ones ( like alya and nino ) and they will break their connection with scarlet monarch . Marinette will eventually get the cat miraculous too and will merge it with the bug miraculous and will get infinitive power , she will make a wish to bring back sentimonsters back and also emily agreste back to life and because of this someone else will disappear and that someone is gabriel agreste and since sentimonsters are all coming back another species of animal needed to disappear . the world will be rewritten by her. she tries to get the butterfly miraculous but she thinks that it's disappeared because they got the peacock miraculous back when the sentimonsters came back so some miraculous else needed to disappear but someone else has it . also this is the last day of school and Marinette and Adrien will go to the dance with being officially a couple and now also known as superheroes .
things to note :
episode 27 , action , will be an episode kind of like aftermath of what happened, where characters lives are shown . it will confirm that adrien gets the peacock miraculous and also lila is confirmed to be the person that had the butterfly miraculous and also felix is promising to be with her .
monarch will get two powerups this season , first in deflagration and second in protection
with monarch's power up , kwamis will forget about the whole agreste mansion and gabriel from deflagration and beyond ( cause they managed to find monarch's identity in transmission )
with monarchs powerup , supervillains will remember about their akumatization ( lila thought that this regretting will cause more negative energy in Paris )
the ultimate and full reveal for monarch will happen in revolution , for cat noir in recreation and for ladybug in conformation
lila and felix will actually start to grow their relationship , and in action , lila and felix will have their first kiss and felix will probably help lila in the season 6 with the duty of the butterfly miraculous .
in collusion , it will be revealed that agrestes family had criminal records in the past .
cat noir's power up in destruction will make him able to cataclysm objects with a near distance by looking at them and not necessarily touching them to destroy them . this will also give him a new suite .
so yeah , now looking at it it feels kind of weird but what do you think about it ?

Spoilers ahead: Just finished watching "Mr. Monk goes to a Fashion Show", fun episode as usual however the drama between Natalie and Julie was so contrived. The entire conflict at the end wouldn't have happened if she had told her daughter that the Julian was the killer. It is just so irresponsible whe. Natalie is more responsible than that. She even tries to blame Julie as the badguy. The rest of the episode was fine, although the way Julian scouted Julie was kind of creepy. Great episode all around though, and the models were pretty great. Munk figuring out there were two criminals was also a nice change of pace.
