Wonderful inventions abound in the world that were once only the product of geniuses' epiphanies. Most of us cannot image a world without the inventions and conveniences that we have grown to depend on and take for granted. The world does, of course, always change, in part because bright brains never stop coming up with amazing ideas for inventions that can improve people's lives.
It can be overwhelming to a new inventor with a fantastic idea to know where to begin or what to do. Sometimes as a result, people give up on their aspirations of invention and put the concept out of their heads. Had this occurred with any of the numerous inventions on which we now so rely, just think! Instead of giving up on an idea, new inventors can consult industry professionals like InventHelp.
Naturally, you want to be sure you make the best decision when you are thinking about hiring a new inventions company to help you advance with your idea as a new inventor. This implies that you must do your homework and learn as much as possible about any service—InventHelp included—that you are thinking about using. Fortunately, you may make your decision more easily because InventHelp has been in the business for many years and there is a wealth of information available online.
When you get into the field of new inventions, you will need assistance with everything from marketing to patent protection to prototype development and more. From the beginning to the conclusion of your first invention journey, a full-service provider such as InventHelp will be able to support you.
We've written a guide with additional details about InventHelp and what it offers new inventors to help you make the best choice. You can also read Q&As from other new inventors trying to learn more about the company and some of the most often asked questions by those who do online research on the company.
Questions from New Inventors About InventHelp

Many new inventors understandably have a lot of questions when they consider working with a company like InventHelp to move forward with their invention idea. Naturally, they want to ensure that they choose the best new invention service provider for them, which means learning about some key factors that can help them make the right decision. So, let's look at some of the questions that new inventors ask about InventHelp, because they can help you learn a lot about the provider and its new invention services.

How Long Has InventHelp Been Around?
Most new inventors want to know how long InventHelp has been in this industry. This shows how reliable, experienced, and well-known the company is. You should find a new invention service provider that has a good reputation and a lot of experience in the field. To do this, you should find out how long they have been in business.
The good news is that InventHelp has been around for a long time. It began in the mid-1980s. From then on, the business has helped many new inventors in many different niches and fields, and it has built a strong reputation along the way. It is easy to see why a lot of new inventors choose to use this service to help them with their first invention. They have been in business for more than forty years.
Also, it's important to note that InventHelp has 65 offices in the US and Canada, making it a very strong presence there. The company hires teams of professionals with years of experience and knowledge in the field. The company is also divided into different departments that handle different parts of the new invention process. This includes professionals in legal matters, marketing, design, and a lot of other fields.
So, if you want to hire a new invention company with a long history, you can rest easy knowing that InventHelp has been around for decades.
Can InventHelp Assist with Patenting My Idea?
A lot of new inventors don't know much about patenting, but they do know that it's an important part of the invention world. There are a lot of people who want to know if InventHelp can help them get patent protection because of this. They can do this without any problems.
When you work with InventHelp, the team can put you in touch with lawyers who specialize in patent law. This way, you can get patent searches and applications done right away. Then, with the help of lawyers, you can get your patent protection set up. This will give you more peace of mind and protection.
Getting a patent for a new invention can be hard and take a long time because there are so many steps involved. Patent searches are needed to make sure that your invention won't violate any patents that are already out there. In addition, the patent application process has to be completed. This can be difficult and stressful for people who don't know much about patent law.
There could be serious problems for you in the future if you don't have patent protection in place or if searches aren't done. If you don't do the right research, your invention might violate an existing patent, which could get you in trouble with the law. Someone could steal your idea or design if you don't have a patent to protect it. They could then claim it as their own, which is called intellectual property theft. Also, someone else could have the exact same thought and patent it before you do.

What Are the Benefits of Using InventHelp?
When looking into this invention company, many new inventors wonder how InventHelp can assist them and what advantages they will reap from working with the firm. Obviously, you should inquire about this and conduct research to make sure the provider is a good fit for you. You should know that InventHelp offers assistance in a wide variety of ways since they are a full-service new invention provider.
The many steps involved in bringing a new invention to fruition can be overwhelming and difficult for a first-time inventor. In order to help you with this, the experts at InventHelp are available to you at all times. As a new inventor, you can expect a great deal of assistance from the provider, and there are numerous advantages to working with them. Now we can examine a few of the main advantages:
· You get support and guidance from the start to the end of your first invention journey from industry experts
· They can assist with important tasks such as patent protection and searches, creating prototypes, and more
· You can benefit from access to a database of thousands of companies that are willing to review your invention idea
· There is access to a wide range of tools and resources to help you to learn as you go
· The team can help with marketing your invention to help generate interest
· You can get assistance with creating great pitches to impress potential investors and businesses
· There is tailored support to meet your individual needs

This is just a sample of the wide range of services and assistance that InventHelp can provide to new inventors. As a result, it has become a very popular choice among new inventors in all sorts of industries.

Can InventHelp Assist with Prototype Creation?
They think that just telling people about their new invention idea is enough, and some new inventors don't realize how important a prototype is. To attract attention and, maybe, investment, you need to be creative. If you have a prototype, you can use it here.
Sharing the visual, functional, and operational aspects of your invention can be challenging without a prototype. Prototyping allows you to accomplish this in a way that is impossible without one. Selecting the most appropriate prototype from the many available choices is crucial.
If you need help with this, InventHelp has a team of design experts that can help. Their assistance in developing a faultless prototype can greatly increase your chances of attracting the attention of potential investors.
Will InventHelp Review My Idea?
One thing that a lot of new inventors want to know about InventHelp is if the people who work there will give them feedback on their invention idea. They will not do this, which is a shame, because it would not be right for them to. In fact, it's important to remember that no new invention company should give their opinion, and if they do, that should be a red flag. You can't ask the team what they think about your invention idea, so don't expect them to give you feedback.
You can, of course, do other things if you want to find out what other people think about your invention idea. These days, a lot of people do things like this on social media. If you have a lot of friends, you can share the idea to see what they think. You should be very careful, though, because you don't want your idea to get stolen by someone else before you get a patent for it.
One of the safest things you can do is to ask your close friends and family what they think about your invention idea. Not all of them will tell you what you want to hear, but some will probably tell you the truth. This means that you can get an honest opinion from some of them.
What Can InventHelp Do for Me?
New inventors sometimes don't know what a new invention services provider does or how they can help someone who is new to the world of invention. Well, as we've already talked about, they can help you in a lot of different ways. This is especially helpful for people who don't know much about invention or have little experience with it.
If you've never been involved with inventions before, you should know that the whole process can be very complicated and hard to figure out. This can make it very stressful and scary for new inventors. Some people find it so scary that they give up on their idea or invention dreams rather than continuing to try and get past the problems they face.
If you have professionals there to help you, the process is much easier and less likely to be scary and stressful for you. You can have a better first journey as an inventor with the help of InventHelp. They can make sure you enjoy and learn from your first experience. This can boost your confidence and fire you up to move forward with your dream of making a new invention.
Will InventHelp Assist with Marketing?
Marketing is an important aspect of new inventions, but many first-time inventors are unfamiliar with it. Many newbies wonder if the InventHelp team can help, and with a team of marketing experts on hand, the answer is yes.
When it comes to marketing your new invention idea, it is critical that you employ the appropriate marketing techniques and strategies, as these can make a significant difference in generating more interest and raising awareness of your invention. Having professionals on hand to assist you with this aspect of things can be extremely beneficial.
In addition to assisting with marketing campaigns, the InventHelp team can help you develop a strong pitch for your new invention. When it comes to impressing businesses and potential investors, having a great pitch is essential, but most new inventors are lost. With the experts on hand to help, you'll have one less thing to worry about.
Will I Succeed with InventHelp?
Some new inventors think that if they go to a new invention company, they will be sure to be successful. There is no way to know for sure that you will succeed, so this is not true. That's why you should be very wary of companies that say their new invention will be a success. Not even the most experienced inventors can be sure if their latest idea will work or not.
When you first start out as an inventor, your dedication and hard work will definitely lead you in the right direction. You can get through your whole journey with the help of the right people and information. But none of this means you will be successful, so you should never go into this business thinking you will do well no matter what.
People Also Ask: More Questions and Answers About InventHelp

When you run a search in InventHelp, you will also find a wide range of other questions that people ask, and it is well worth reading through these if you want to learn more about the provider and what it has to offer. This is a great way of getting some of your own questions answered, and viewing some other questions that you might not have thought about. Some of the top questions that people also ask are:

How Much Does InventHelp Cost?
New inventors want to get rich fast, but they have to live on a tight budget like everyone else until their invention becomes a hit. Most people have a set amount of money they want to spend on their new invention idea. So, they want to know if InventHelp charges for its services and, if so, how much it will cost.
Not only that, but keep in mind that InventHelp is a business and needs to make money just like any other business. Because of this, services can't be given away for free, and there is a cost to become a client. Getting the service can cost different amounts, so you need to talk to them about your project first to find out how much it will cost.
That being said, the business is very clear about its prices and fees, so you can find out exactly how much you'll be charged before you sign anything or commit to anything. Because of this, you won't have to worry about any hidden fees, and you'll know right away how much the service will cost. Then, among other things, the costs will help you decide if you want to sign up or not.
And, of course, you should think about how much help and services you will get from InventHelp as part of the fee they charge. It can be hard for new inventors to figure out how to go about the processes involved with new inventions, as we've already said. Getting the right support and help can make a huge difference.
Is InventHelp a Legitimate Company?
The legitimacy of InventHelp is another question that people frequently pose online. Naturally, when a person uses a company for the first time, especially for something as crucial as supporting their new invention, they are always concerned. Many people who are unaware of InventHelp are therefore interested in learning if it is reliable.
Given its existence since the middle of the 1980s, the company has a proven track record. Many inexperienced inventors have already benefited from it in the past with inventions in a variety of fields. Furthermore, the internet offers a wealth of information about the provider, including testimonials and reviews, which helps you to find out more about its standing.
Just like with any other business you are using for the first time, before you join up with a new invention services company, including InventHelp, do as much research as you can. This allows you to gauge their offerings more fully and decide if it is the best option for you.
InventHelp is, however, a respectable business with a solid presence in 65 cities in the US and Canada and forty years of experience in the field.
How Can InventHelp Assist with Patenting?
New Inventors often ask online if InventHelp can help new inventors with the patenting process. Some new inventors are also interested in this. As we already talked about, patenting is a very important part of the process. Its job is to keep you and your invention safe. The good news is that InventHelp has a team of lawyers and can put you in touch with one of their patent law experts to make sure that the searches are done and that the patent protection is filed quickly and correctly.
This can help you get your patent faster and give you peace of mind that everything has been done correctly. When you go through legal processes like patent protection, you need to make sure that everything is done correctly. The lawyers at InventHelp can help you with this.
Can InventHelp Offer Funding?
Not many new inventors think about how to pay for their invention at first, but later on, they do. This is why a lot of people have asked if InventHelp can give money to new inventors. InventHelp does not directly offer funding, but they can still help in other ways.
The team can, for example, put you in touch with possible investors who might be willing to give you money if your new invention idea really impresses them. In addition, they can help you make a great pitch that will impress investors, which will increase your chances of getting new ones on board.

Does InventHelp Offer Confidentiality?
Rightly so, most new inventors are fiercely guarding their new invention concept! They therefore want to make sure that the specifics of their invention are safe and secure, and many of them wonder if InventHelp provides a private service.
You may relax though, because the InventHelp staff is highly concerned with information security and secrecy. Keeping this in mind, they have put in place a number of procedures to guarantee the security and safety of your data. This covers the companies on their database as well as all others who will be working on your project signing confidentiality agreements.
During their online research on InventHelp and its services, many people have the following important questions.
Can InventHelp Help with International Patents?
InventHelp can assist inventors with international patent applications through mechanisms like the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and by coordinating with foreign associates or patent agents.

Do I Need a Prototype to Work with InventHelp?

Can I Work with InventHelp If I Already Have a Patent?
Yes, InventHelp can provide various services even if you already have a patent. They can assist with marketing, licensing, and commercialization efforts.

Is There a Guarantee of Success with InventHelp?

Can InventHelp Help with Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)?
Yes, InventHelp can assist in the preparation of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to help protect your invention idea when discussing it with potential partners or investors.

Do I Have to Share Ownership or Royalties with InventHelp?
Any agreements about ownership or royalties will be based on the deal that the inventor and InventHelp make, and these terms should be written down in the deal.
How Much do Inventors Make on Royalties?
Inventors' royalty earnings vary widely, but typical royalty rates range from 2% to 10% or more of net sales, depending on several factors.
Can I Just Sell my Invention Idea? Yes, you can sell your invention idea to a company or individual without having to manufacture or develop the product yourself.

Should I Patent my Idea Before Selling? It's generally advisable to consider patenting your idea before selling it, as a patent can add significant value and protection to your invention when negotiating with potential buyers or licensees.
How do Inventors get Paid? Inventors typically get paid through royalties, upfront payments, or a combination of both, as specified in a licensing or sale agreement with a company or individual interested in their invention.

[9 YOE] Mid-Career Environmental Consultant's Resume - I've gone 10/10 for interviews this past year.
This has been my general resume format since 2015, and it's worked really well for me over years. Outside of my first job hunt, which admittedly was a bit of a challenge, I've never had significant difficulties finding new employment.
On my most recent job hunt back in spring 2023, I went 6-for-6 with this resume. Every single place I applied to I got an interview at. Even still, while I am quite comfortable with my current employeer, I still get requests from recruiters to chat and send resumes over - and every single recruiter I've sent a resume to wants to set up an interview.
Format-wise, I kept it as simple as possible, no fancy styles, colors, or anything like that. I know there's a lot of back-and-forth on whether or not a summary is good/bad, but I prefer to use one. Even keeping my resume at 1 page, I think having a summary saves time for those who don't want to take 3 minutes and read the whole thing. Just by reading the summary, I think the reader can gain a good understanding of who I am and what I can do.
Second to this, which I didn't post, I have about a 4 page long Experience Summary document, which sums up all the major projects I've managed or played a major role on. Instead of a cover letter, which is pretty useless, I submit the Experience Summary instead. It's much more geared towards technical reviewers, not HR or any non-technical folks, because it is a bit "weedy".

2024.05.18 22:02 1Sockrock What can I improve, elaborate on, omit, or include? Soon to graduate with PhD in chemistry, but unable to land interviews.

I'm graduating with a PhD in chemistry in July and have been searching for jobs in biotech/pharma. The positions are usually scientist I-III with roles in canceimmune research.
While my degree is in chemistry, our lab does little traditional chemistry (e.g. chemical synthesis), and instead focuses on areas such as immunotherapy, biophysical, and analytical microscopy. I'm not sure if the fact my PhD is in chemistry rather than immunology or something similar is hurting my chances or if my experience isn't competitive enough, my resume doesn't convey the relevant experience well, or if I'm not even making it past the ATS or recruiter.
I've applied to ~75 jobs since the beginning of April and have only have 1 real interview. I use a hybrid resume/CV (I read that's best for industry research position. I also try to tailor my resume for each application (putting most relevant experience first, using matching keywords and skills), but most of the positions are very similar and my resume doesn't change much.
Thanks in advance for any help!

2024.05.18 18:31 nullvoxpopuli Davinci Studio 18.6 on Ubuntu: Fairlight recorded audio cannot be heard in the edit view.

I can hear the voice over clip I recorded if I find the files and open them in my system audio player -- but the edit workspace doesn't play the audio clips.
The wave form is visible.
Other audio I import into the timeline can be heard.
I know davinci on linux has a ton of audio issues out of the box, but I don't know what's going on.
What's extra suspicious:
fairlight recorded audio: PCM S24 LE (s24l), 48000Hz, 32 bits per sample
audio recorded externally and works (can be heard): PCM S24 LE (s24l), 48000Hz, 32 bits per sample
thanks!
edit! it seems I had to unmute the bus!
what's the proper workflow here? should I have a new bus per voice-over clip? or is there a way to detach this association?

2024.05.18 14:42 ohmahgawd Audio drops when focusing on another program or window

SOLVED: The issue was Voicemeeter. I was using voicemeeter to do some additional audio routing for other programs, but it was causing audio to drop out as I tabbed between Premiere and Firefox. Removing Voicemeeter from the loop fixed the issue. I guess I will only run Voicemeeter when I need it in the moment. I'll leave this up for anyone that might run into a similar issue in the future.
Hey there. I'm trying to figure out how to fix a recurring issue I'm having with audio dropouts. To preface this, here are my specs:
Ryzen 9 5950x 128GB ram @ 3200MHz RTX 4080
The content being edited is on an nvme drive, plenty fast.
If it helps, I am on Win11 23H2, and Premiere version 24.3.0
My sequence is a two cam podcast, roughly two hours long, with some light graphics work in the timeline. Nothing major. I'm using ProRes proxies at quarter resolution. Audio setup is ASIO with an Apollo Twin interface. IO Buffer size 512, Sample Rate 48kHz.
My issues is that, during playback, if I click a different program or window on my computer (firefox, for instance, if I'm searching for something while also listening to playback) the audio will cut out for a few seconds and then return. It doesn't happen if I stay in the Premiere window, and playback is generally pretty smooth given my specs and proxy workflow. Any idea why these audio dropouts occur when window focus changes? Is there anything I can do to fix that?

2024.05.18 14:28 JustJoyousForNothing TTC for ~3 years now, multiple FETs and fresh transfers - failure. Feeling totally lost. Need help/suggestions/advice.

Hi everyone,
Me (F, 33) and husband (M, 33) have been TTC for ~3 years now, 1.5 years with IVF treatment. Never conceived/got pregnant yet. I have been quietly lurking in the subs here and some of your posts/comments have been helpful in many ways. This is my first post here.
History/tests done and results for me so far: Normal TSH, DHEA-S 294.8 ug/dl, AMH 1.21 ng/mL (low for my age?!). Have PCOS. No abnormal gene carrier, normal karyotyping results, no Lupus, no Anticardiolipin Ab, no HBSAg, no autoimmune diseases. HyCosy/HSG/MRI revealed left fallopian tubes was blocked and had adhesions along with the left ovary. Also learnt through the IVF cycles that my left ovary doesn't do much - barely any eggs retrieved from the left ovary, most eggs are coming from my right ovary. I also had surgery to remove polyps and uterus septum before any IVF cycles. I also had low Vit D for ~3 years, at normal levels now with taking regular supplements. Now I am actively trying to lose some weight to see if it helps (??!!) - weight in March 2024 was 196 lbs., current weight is 182 lbs. (height is 5'3"). Trying to lose more weight - walking 10K steps a day, focusing more on protein intake, low carb, clean eating no junk.
History/tests done and results for husband so far: 1 out 3 tests showed slightly abnormal sperm morphology. Sperm DNA Fragmentation Assay (SDFA) score 19 (borderline between 'normal odds' and 'reduced odds' of success). No abnormal gene carrier. Normal karyotyping results. No autoimmune diseases.
Supplements/medications I am taking: Prenatal, Vit D, Vit C, CoQ10, Omega3, Alpha lipoleic acid, Seed probiotics, Metformin.
Supplements/medications husband is taking: Multi-vitamin, Vit D, CoQ10, Omega3
IVF retrieval and transfer history/timeline:
1st retrieval in May 2023: Used GonalF 375 IU, MenoPur 150 IU, Cetrotide 0.25 mg. Trigger with 10,000 IU HCG. Retrieved 10 eggs, only 1 of those could be frozen after PGT-A. Used ICSI for this cycle.
FET in July 2023: Used oral Medrol, oral and vaginal estradiol, crinone progesterone vaginal gel once a day and PIO every 3 days. Transferred 1 PGT-A tested Day 5 embryo (4BB) - ended in chemical pregnancy.
2nd retrieval in end of Sept 2023: Used Clomid flare, GonalF 450 IU, MenoPur 150 IU, Cetrotide 0.25 mg. Trigger with 10,000 IU HCG. Retrieved 10 eggs, only 3 of those could be frozen after PGT-A. Used ICSI, Zymot for this cycle.
Fresh transfer in Oct 2023: Used only Crinone progesterone vaginal gel once a day. Transferred 1 untested Day 5 embryo - No implantation.
FET again in Nov 2023: Used oral Medrol, oral and vaginal estradiol, crinone progesterone vaginal gel once a day and PIO every 3 days. Transferred the remaining 2 PGT-A tested Day 5 embryos (4AB and 5AA), also used embryo glue - No implantation.
Doc suggested removing my blocked left fallopian tube -- had laparoscopic salpingectomy surgery in Feb 2024. Took uterine tissue biopsy samples during surgery - normal results, Doc mentioned no endometriosis.
3rd retrieval in April 2024: Used Lupron 10 IU, GonalF 300 IU, MenoPur 300 IU. Trigger with 10,000 IU HCG. Retrieved 8 eggs, 2 of these made it to blasts, none frozen. Used PICSI for this cycle. I was also on Dexamethasone.
Fresh transfer in May 2024: Used only Crinone progesterone vaginal gel once a day. I was also on Medrol, baby Aspirin and Doxycycline. On top of this, I added Pepcid, Claritin, Benadryl. Transferred 2 untested Day 3 embryos - No implantation (got beta result yesterday, also got my periods right after the blood draw in the morning, was devastated).
I have also tried eating pineapple core, beet+pomogrenate juice, McD fries, sex the night before transfer - all of it.
I am at a loss, I do not know what to do now. I am sitting and sobbing here as I am writing this. Thankfully, my insurance covers most testing and procedures, except PGT-A and my medication has copays. But this process is so emotionally draining. My husband is super supportive and tries to keep a positive vibe all the time, but I feel bad for us. Also, it is so hard to keep a nice face at work - no one (family, friends, colleagues) knows we are TTC with IVF.
What are we missing here? I feel like I have implantation issues? Any more testing? What else can I do?
Please let me know what worked for you, what more can be done in my case to have a successful pregnancy. ANY help is appreciated. TIA.

2024.05.18 07:03 Dragon_OS [Online] [CST] [Other] [Text-based] [LGBT+ Friendly] [Noob Friendly] [Roleplay-Focused] Looking for players wanting to tell a story for a chill theatre-of-the-mind game in a custom magitek setting.

I'm looking for 2-3 players, but that can be negotiated with to help create a fun experience for everyone.
Looking to play on Fridays or Saturdays starting at 6PM to 7PM and lasting until 9PM or 10PM. I suggest being an adult when you apply, but its not absolutely required as the general vibe will be chill with occasional mature or dark moments.

We will be playing in defined sessions on Discord with a priority on text-based roleplay. Voice chat will be optional but recommended as we will have a music bot and use the voice channel for questions and out-of-character discussion.

We will be using a CUSTOM theater-of-the-mind system with dice rolls to spice things up. Roleplay will be the main priority but combat will also be in play later on in the story. If you want a game where you can focus on telling a story with your character, this might be the thing for you. It will take place in a custom setting of my own creation. It should be noted that I am a relatively new DM, so there will be some growing pains, but the sample groups I have worked with in the past confirmed it is a positive experience.
The setting is a near-future alternate timeline of Earth where magic made itself known to the world in the year 2021 for unknown reasons. This causes North America to unite against magic, discriminating against it in both a social and legal manner as they view magic as a threat to national security. You will be playing a group of magic users in a resistance effort to help prevent a civil war between the magic and mundane worlds. More details are available if you DM me on Reddit or Discord.
The overall themes of the story will be like a blend of Fallout, Lovecraft, folklore, Tolkien and other fantasy topics. I prefer to keep real-world politics out of my games to keep a friendly environment for everyone involved. My games are LGBT+ friendly with a variety of tones. This includes some darker themes that will be discussed with the group prior to their occurence in the campaign.

If you would like to sign up, contact me on Reddit or dragon_os on Discord.

In late 2021, the world was forever changed when supernatural forces from cultures around the globe revealed themselves to humanity. While it initially caused great deals of conflict, the world settled into an uneasy coexistence with these magical beings. Magical creatures were seen as subhuman, or often as outright animals. The entirety of North America united in an attempt to drive out magic from within. But in the year 2025, what was known as The Seal was broken, revealing an entire new continent full of magical creatures that had been hidden from humanity's view for centuries. As the world was halted by this revelation, tensions began to rise. Many feared the unknown, while others saw the opportunity for great discovery and exploration. Borders were redrawn, alliances were made, and the stage was set for a massive conflict between those who sought to control the magic of this new continent and those who sought to explore and learn from it. It is now the year 2027. The fate of this new world and its magic rests in the hands of those brave enough to take up arms and fight for what they believe in.

2024.05.18 04:39 KeybladePrincess "No later than Friday"

I had a interview this week that seemed to go fairly well. The manager said they had one more interview the next day but planned to have an answer by Friday. She later responded to my thank you email asking for some samples of my work. She received them and responded that she would be in touch no later than Friday. She'd also mention during the interview that she was leaving over the weekend to go to a conference.
Yesterday, I sent HR my list of references because she had mentioned that that would be one of the next steps for whoever they offered the job to. Yesterday afternoon, all of my references received an email request from the HR recruiter. I know that at least two of the three have sent their responses back.
Of course, it's now almost 8:00 p.m. on Friday and I haven't heard anything all day. Logically I know there's a million reasons I may not have heard anything, but my anxiety has been a WRECK and I assumed I'd at least know one way or another today so that I could process the news, good or bad.
I hate being given such a specific timeline that isn't adhered to.

2 Week djs Postop Update: Timeline of what to expect if you get djs in Taiwan
PHYSICAL UPDATE:
My almost non existant swelling situation has been a major blessing in my journey. I never even had any bruising! Pain is now tolerable. I stopped taking ibuprofen at 1 week and since then it's just been a tylenol every other day. A week of torture for possibly a lifetime of happiness? Anyways, my face still feels quite stiff and Im scared to pop my alar cinch, so I'm not yet ready for bigger expressions like smiling with teeth. From the front I'm still recogniseable as myself (which is what I asked for), from the side there's a dramatic difference if you compare my result to my old sleeping photos. Was def guilty of trading in my tmj health to pull my jaw forward and catfish my way through life! Sleep and breathing have been perfect since day 6, and once I'm cleared to chew I should be able to eat food properly for the first time in my life :)
(More questions regarding my own surgery experience may have already been answered in previous posts)
SURGEON BASIC INFO:
Taipei Chang Gung Teaching Hospital Surgeon: Lin Cheng Hui, specialty- sleep apnea, offers surgery first approach, big portfolio of Asian patients, speaks English and Chinese. Cost: (excluding braces) 15kusd for Taiwanese, around 30kusd for internationals (but you get unlimited time during consults) Total suggested stay in Taiwan: 2 months (2 weeks-1month if you go to a different clinic) I stayed 6.5 weeks.
TIMELINE:
1month preop: Land in Taipei, Consult with the surgeon+ ortho, they'll order tests (e.g sleep apnea, cognitive function), scans etc. It takes Chang Gung a whole month to finalise your surgical plan. This timing issue was the only downside for me. Use your time here to have fun exploring and sampling local liquid foods. Some of my friends who did the same djs journey used this month to do a whole Asia exploration trip. I guess dedicating a month to lowering stress before surgery is a great idea for healing anyway.
2 week preop: Optional donation of 500ccs (2x250ml bags) of your own blood to be used during surgery.
1 day preop: Check into the hospital, ortho preps you for surgery e.g braces, invisalign-like buttons or just fitting moulds.
Day of!!!: Surgical students at this hospital only observe, so dont worry about anyone other than your chosen surgeon operating on you. While youre under, the nurses will teach your family how to take care of you (they also speak basic English), so everything is ready when they wheel you back to your room.
Day 1-2 postop: The surgeon checks in on you every morning. Nurses are very informative and attentive. While walking up and down the corridor, you'll see at least 3 other djs patients with ice bags on their faces, it's a very popular surgery here. If you're OK, you get discharged on day 2... and also the bill.
Day 3-4 postop: dealing with peak swelling (mine was day 2) and the chore of eating and cleaning, but at least in the comfort of a home of your own choosing.
1 week postop: visit the ortho and surgeon for postops. I started going on easy trails and mini hikes. You're also supposed to have postops at 2w and 1m with the surgeon, and at 3w with the ortho...
HOWEVER My healing went too smoothly :)
2 weeks postop: changed my flight to head back to work early!
BTW: I found Taiwan to be a great place for djs recovery. Yummy nutritious drink and soft food options everywhere, $15 shampoo/ shoulder massage places, accupuncture clinics, nature trails... never had a single ensure or bored day! And lots of people wear masks here, so it's easy to hide your swelling if you don't want to show your face in public.

Need support/suggestions/hype up
Hey everyone! I think I need a little hype/support. I bought my wedding dress last year and am having some dress regret 😢 I was looking into different dresses but don't think it's in the cards for me with my timeline/wedding budget, so I could really use a hype up of this dress. I just want to feel confident in my dress on my wedding day! I'm open to suggestions regarding alterations/small changes. My first appointment for alterations is in July.
Dress is Alena Leena Santolina with added detachable sleeves. First 3 pics are me in the sample dress and last 3 pics are me in actual dress.

2024.05.17 19:46 birdy_244 Elevated Liver Values Concern

Hello!
I am wondering if I could get some advice as I’m all alone in this and trying to figure out what’s going on with my dog. My dog is a female, 9lbs and is 7 years old. Chihuahua mix, other part unknown. Maybe terrier because of wire like hair. History of pancreatitis, but her last episode was 2021. Since being on the low fat food she hasn’t had another episode.
Timeline of events:
Early January 2024 - emergency vet visit for random pain, they found possible bladder stones in x ray.
Late Jan 2024 - regular vet confirmed bladder stones and ran blood test. Blood test came out with slightly elevated ALP at 155. Chica was put on urinary care to dissolve stones. Also diagnosed with UTI after symptoms and urinalysis. Put on antibiotics.
Mid March 2024 - stones did not dissolve and surgery was elected in Mid April (vet was extremely busy at this time and it was the earliest appt I could get) Emergency vet visit a week before her surgery due to blood in vomit and panting. Emergency vet took blood sample and ALP rose to ~395.
Mid April 2024 - bladder stone surgery, they found hundreds of stones. Vet also recommend we do further tests after recovery period because of rising ALP. Opted to take another blood test in May to see her levels.
May 2024 - ALP levels rose to 495 and ALT rose from 35ish to 295. So not good. Vet suggested ultrasound and fine needle aspiration which is scheduled for May 22. Despite the blood test, she is eating, drinking and full of energy. Has not lost any weight. Is drinking normally now, versus a lot when she had the bladder stones. She still has minor bladder accidents though. Another urinalysis is being done today for a recheck after surgery.
I’m freaking out about her liver values and so concerned it’s cancer. Should I be super worried? Is this likely cancer? Am I going through the correct process to figure out what’s going on? Her 2023 bloodwork was normal, especially the alt and alp values.

2024.05.17 02:58 West_Peanut_7247 Achievement Unlocked: Ghost

Achievement Unlocked: Ghost
(HARVEST AN ALBINO GRAY WOLF)
My journey:
1) Completed all missions/achievements on Hirschfelden then Layton, ending with “Vualez Arc” on 14th June 2023.
2) “The Apex Hunter” was achieved on 3rd July 2023, would have encountered Gray Wolves in Medved-Taiga starting now, but was not grinding wolves or their drink zones.
3) Worked through Medved, Vurhonga, Fernando, Revontuli, and Silver Ridge one by one.
4) Two achievements on the 5th December 2023 marked a transition. “A Sample of Parque Fernando’s Finest” and “Grizzled Veteran” showed the exact migration to Yukon.
5) 5 months and 13 days, or 165 calendar days later, a ghost would be harvested.
6) With all other goals out of the way, the last achievement dated 13th December 2023, marked the start of the Albino Gray Wolf grind. Delta to completion: 5 months 3 days. (Achievement Date: 16th May 2024.)
OVERALL: Current Harvests: 4644 Diamonds: 29 Diamond Odds: 0.62% Albino Wolf Odds: 0.05%
HARVESTED: Diamond Wolves: 11 Other fur types: 1x Red Brown
Albino Location: Copper Rock (-10472 : -8687)
MY METHOD: Tents opposite drink zones seemed to work for me. Never excessively killed (over 3+), just fast travelled and shot around 150m ~ 300m away.
RIFLE: ZARZA-10 .308 MOONLIGHT AMMO: .308 Polymer-Tip Bullet Range: 239.84m
(Annoyingly only a Gold, would have loved a Diamond!)
Note: Didn’t play religiously everyday, but hopefully this reflects the timeline for a casual player like myself and how long it might take to track down this trophy.
Thanks!

2024.05.16 23:57 DiscussionChoice1611 Herpes, Anal, Fissure, Constipation: My Journey So Far

I was recently diagnosed with hsv2 on 04/23/24. On 04/10/24, I had my initial OB, which I thought was a fissure, this made pooping extremely difficult, as if there was glass coming out my ass. There was a little blood in the stool during the next bowel movements I had, but this decreased over the week. I also fasted to heal the fissure up.
I have taken my valtrex twice a day for ten days and will continue on one a day, along with L-Lysine, Zinc, Multivitamins and Omega 3. My fissure is healed and the skin around my butthole looks fine. My anal area feels quite tight, where I can’t really open up my anus with my finger.
I am experiencing constipation, where there is a numbness in my rectal area, and I am unable to pass stool involuntarily. This has been the case for two weeks. Everything else is fine, my anal region feels slightly inflamed however, in addition to my sphincter being quite tight. My food digests well, and I am taking prune juice to make it smoother, I’m just not clearing out my stool as quickly and efficiently before this. Before I would go to the bathroom and everything would come out at ease. Right now I place my feet on my toes, and then the poop just falls out, but it doesn’t feel natural like before this whole thing started.
05/16/2024: It's been exactly a month since my first normal bowel movement, but everything is getting better. I still rely on prune juice, and smooth move tea sometimes, but honestly, I think it is a matter of getting your gut back to normal. I met with a proctologist, and he said that everything looked normal, which it did, as the fissure was healed after three weeks. My sphincter is also seeming to get looser, so hopefully this continues. In addition I met with a GI doctor, and provided my stool sample and blood work to see if there are any additional issues alongside this. I will also have a scan on 05/20/2024 to see if any issues can be viewed. I just wanna get back to normal bowel movements, I will never take pooping for granted again 😂. The GI doctor also mentioned that these things should take time, and surprisingly said that everybody has been in contact with hsv2 in some way or another if sexually active. In addition she mentioned that she’s seen people just doing fine with using L-Lysine, Zinc and management of gut health to ensure that the virus is kept at bay, so if anything, it’s our minds making a bigger deal of the situation. Remember that it takes time, and just stay calm, that is honestly the best way to go about this, and try and reestablish your gut health with probiotics, yogurt and general healthy eating.
What is the deal with hsv2 and the nerves down there, and what are the chances that I can restore my normal bowel functions?
For others that suffer with this or those that may have insight, what was your timeline in getting back to normal with this, and how are things now?
For anybody that had this issue, did anybody have recurrent outbreaks , and what were they like (did constipation return)?
Thank you for taking the time to read this, I will be active in replying and trying to help however I can!

2024.05.16 22:23 Familiar_Phrase_1315 Question about transforming data

I have a dataflow in Power BI consisting of multiple CSV files in a folder. One of the CSV file contains log entries compacted into a single column (LogHistory), with each entry separated by a tab. A new log entry starts with a date and time. I need to transform this data such that each log entry appears on a separate line while retaining the job number from JobNumber for each entry.
I’m a noob but back myself to use Python for this curious about what would be the best options.
Sample Data Below
JobNumber, LogHistory 12345, 08/02/2024 11:43:11 Alice Smith Status: PENDING -> LOST 15/11/2023 11:22:45 Bob Johnson Address Update: Old Address -> New Address 28/01/2022 15:20:25 Carol White Job Date: 24/12/2019 -> 28/01/2022 15/06/2020 13:49:16 Dave Brown Notes: Discussed project timeline with client.
Question:
I need help with transforming the data in Power BI to achieve a clean result with separate rows for each log entry. The desired columns are Date, Time, Editor, From, and To.
Requirements:
What is the easiest way to accomplish this transformation using Power Query or other tools available in Power BI?
I don’t have fabric capacity & currently no access to the original log history.
Any guidance or solutions would be greatly appreciated!
