I hope the devs will see this one, IMO the mafia update is one of the best updates for the game but in its current state, its severely lacking.
Add illegal business
The crimes tab is bit of lacking as of now, and the way the "ranks" within a mafia family are partaking in those illicit activities are kinda awkward, Caporegimes stealing cars? the Godfather personally extorting a business? that's unrealistic, I suggest that "wet work" types of crimes should only be reserved for the associates and the soldiers, while the the Caporegimes can start or set up illegal business', like the following:

• Gambling Den
  
• Prostitution ring
  
• Pornography Studio
  
• Drug Trafficking
  
• Loan Sharking
  
• Smuggling
  
• Arms Trafficking
  
• Labor Racketeering
  

In setting those business' up, a legal front will be needed (lesser profit but reduces heat from the police/feds) or you can have the option to secretly operate those business' (bigger profit but attracts more attention from the police/feds).
Second, the Capos can set up the business' independently or the higher ups orders a certain business to be operated.
Third, a maximum of 5 business' should only be allowed for each Capo (if the player Capo has 5 gambling dens but the higher ups wants to set up a drug trafficking business, one of the gambling dens should be demolished.)
Fourth, the generating income for the player Capo from those business will be similar to how the family takes cuts from the crimes tabs
Fifth, a maximum of only 3 (+1 if you reach the Capo rank) capos for a mafia family and 5 (+1 if you reach the Capo rank) Capos for the Sicilian Mafia.
Sixth, each business will have varying "sizes", for example before you can set up the business you have to choose how big the operation would be, a small gambling den? a large drug trafficking ring? and each "sizes" will correspond to generated profit, a small gambling den will generate less profit compared to medium size one etc. and each "size" will also generate "heat" for your character Capo, the smaller the operation the lesser "heat" generated.
Lastly, like I said in the beginning, the associates & soldiers, each of them will be assigned in to a Capo, and the Capo can delegate "wet work" types of crimes for each of them.
Rank Options:
Associates
The typical stuff from the crime tabs:

• Bank Robbery
  
• Burglary
  
• Extortion (no "whack" option)

Associates should never perform hits, this should be reserved for his/her "initiation"
They will also get random orders from a made guy (not necessarily from a Capo.)

Soldiers
Aside from the typical stuff, the Soldiers should be able to have "perform a hit" crime in the crimes tab, it can only be done thrice a year and each hit will be difficult than the last, it has high chance of getting caught but if successful it will improve your standing within the mob by a large degree (the payout should also be good, no pay cuts you take the full amount of the money being rewarded)

• Ability to recruit Associates (if a current associate dies or have been promoted into a made man, you can able to recruit a associate to fill in a spot)
  
• They will also get a random orders from the Capo only
  

Salary: similar to how the players take a cut from performing crimes and if successfully performed a hit, he/she will receive huge sums of money and his/her standing within the family will exponentially increase.
Caporegimes

• Set up illegal business
  
• Bribe city officials (another way to reduce police attention, success depends on the character's notoriety, the higher the notoriety the lesser chance of success)
  
• Assign work (this is for the associates & soldiers) ​
  
• Propose/recommend an associate (the capo recommends an associate to be made, the success depends on the relationship of the player capo to the underboss & the godfathegodmother)
  
• Settle disputes (this will improve the income of your crew, settle any disputes among the soldiers & associates or sort out any grudges)
  
• Do favors (you can grant favors to to local people, like a school teacher, a lawyer, a small business owner or even a municipal judge etc, you can later "cash in" with these favors, may it be monetary value for the family, legal protection or personal wealth etc.)
  

Salary: takes a cut from the illegal business
They will also get a random orders from the Underboss or rarely from the godfathegodmother.
Underboss
In the mob, the Underboss is sometimes called the streetboss, because they oversee the entirety of the operations of the mob on a daily basis, he directly reports to the boss/godfather, so basing on that, the following options should be added into the game

• Collect contributions/tribute (this is for the illegal business', this is only available once a year)
  
• Add a business (You'll order a Capo to operate a certain business)
  
• Propose a Soldier (same with the "propose/recommend an associate" option in the Capo rank but this time when a Capo dies a Soldier will be promoted to a Capo)
  
• Delegate a hit (when the godfathegodfather orders a hit the underboss will delegate it with one of their capos, the success depends on the capos intellect & willpower)
  
• Perform charity (at the behest of the godfathegodmother, you'll perform charity works to lower down the police attention of the family, lesser sting operations, lesser rats popping up. Just like the "bribe a judge" option, charity foundations will also be reluctant to accept funds if your heat/notoriety levels are too high)
  
• Bribe a judge (to protect family members from prosecution, depending the amount of money being given, the maximum years of legal protection will be 15, for example a soldier got caught murdering a rival family soldier, if the Underboss bribed a judge, the family soldier will not be convicted. the success of the bribe depends on the Underboss' "Heat"/Notoriety level, the higher the heat/notoriety the lesser chance the bribe will be successful, if yo fail to bribe a judge, you can be also arrested and tried)
  
• Procure weapons (Distribute weapons to each of the crews, it may be small handguns, shotguns or even assault rifles, this will increase protection of the business' and of the members of the family from the rival family during mafia wars, this option should available during peace time & mafia wars)
  
• Will also get a random orders from the GodfatheGodmother
  

Salary per year: 5 to 7 million
The GodfatheGodmother

• Wage a mafia war against your rival family, there will be two sub options for this part, the justifications will either be "eliminate competition" (total destruction of the rival crime family) or "take over their business"(a "skirmish" type of conflict, instead of eliminating the rival family you instead take some of the "turfs") AI GodfatheGodmother should be able to wage a mafia war
  
• When a mafia war is ongoing, there will also be options for the GodfatheGodmother to pick, like "destroy rivals business", "take out their soldiers", "raid a rivals business" (unlike the destroy one, your soldiers will only raid for money), "order the hit of the boss of the rival family", "call for political support" (this basically calling on the police to take your side against your rivals, this is only available when you have a political ally, and depending on the position of your political ally if your political ally is a senator he/she can instantly imprison majority of the members of the rival family, if your political ally is the mayor of the city the only thing he/she can is increase the sting operations of the rival family), "ensue peace" (this can go both ways, when you lost the war you can still ensue peace, but the consequence will be either you're will be removed as the boss or worse be killed, and when you win, depending the choice you made for the cause of the war, you will be rewarded handsomely and a chance your rival family will be wiped out)
  
• Form alliance (Instead of going to war, you can also have the option end the rivalry between the families and start an alliance, work together in terms of business, this will generate bigger profits for your family but the downside is the police/feds will be now more active to take you down, more sting operations, more rats popping up)
  
• Support a local politician ( sub options are "fund a his/her election campaign" (or you can go to a more devious plot like rigging the elections), "eliminate his/her political enemies", "give a gift" etc, after gaining a political ally, you can now use him/her for your own ends, like "ask for political protection", "clean criminal records" etc.
  
• Support a national politician, same as the "support a local politician", besides the basic benefits, the benefits you receive if your national political bet wins (senator or presidency) your heat will be erased, no sting operations, no rats, if caught by the authorities the charges will be dropped and lastly if your character is engaged in a mob war, this political ally can instantly imprison the majority of the members of the rival family, thus increasing your chance in winning in a mob war. Downside is its much harder for your political bet to win, if you want a successful results or chance to win, either rig the elections (high risk of getting caught) or contribute 250 million into his/her campaign
  
• Order a business to be operated (same as the Underboss option)
  
• Put out a hit/put a contract (you can choose anyone from relatives, enemies, random people, friends and anyone in the family)
  
• Promote an underboss (when the current underboss dies, you can instantly promote any Capo for that position)
  
• Policy making (The GodfatheGodmother dictates on how the family runs its "business'" and passes certain "laws" within the family, for example, you can outright ban the drug trafficking business to reduce heat from the authorities or only men can join the family vice versa)
  
• Appoint front boss (appoint a "front boss" to insulate yourself from the feds/authorities, if your political bets didn't win the election you may choose this option instead, it lowers your heat/notoriety levels, lesser sting operations waged against you, and even if a sting operation is successful, the front boss will be the one who takes the fall & and rival family will have a hard time assassinating you during a mob war, The disadvantages are, it doesn't lower the chances of having rat in your family & no political backup during a mob war)
  
• Distribute funds (when a crew is an dire straits you may give them necessary funds to operate, the Capo will automatically owe you a "favor", you can later "cash in" these favors in terms of personal wealth, like cars, planes, boats, rings, or even properties)
  
• Go legitimate (This option will only be available when you're already the godfathegodmother for more than 15 years and have the enough funds (around 100m), this will dissolve all the illegal business of the family and turn you into a CEO of a legit company)
  
• Step down (retire as the GodfatheGodmother, to let the younger generation to take over, this option will increase health & happiness for the player character, and erases the notoriety/heat levels completely & you will also receive 250 million dollars, random events will pop up like a Caporegime from your family paying respects to you, a soldier seeks your advice/wisdom, or the underboss visits you to reminisce the good "old days" etc. these events will either increase your happiness or health)
  

Salary per year: 65% of annual earnings of the family (I.e the family earned 15 million during a year, 65% of the earnings will be your salary)
Day job
This option should be included, this will also be a good way to avoid police attention in-game or decrease your "heat", its awkward to see a unemployed schlep making millions of dollars every year and not get caught by the IRS or something lmao,
"Heat" system
For every crime you commit there a corresponding level of heat added to the character's overall "heat", the more serious the crime the more likely the police/feds will target you
Bodyguard system
As I observed in the game, you can easily whack anyone in your family, this should not be, by adding bodyguards, the chances of your success will decrease exponentially

• Associates - 0 bodyguards
  
• Soldiers/"Made Guys" - 1 to 3 bodyguards
  
• Caporegimes - 5 to 10 bodyguards
  
• Underboss - 15 to 20 bodyguards
  
• GodfatheGodmother - 20 to 40 bodyguards
  

The "put a contract" option should only be available for the the godfathegodmother
The only sure-fire way to "whack" a family member is using the "put a contract" tab, the bodyguard system will not be in effect, because as the Godfather, every family member would obey you no question.
Mafia Wars
During a mafia war, business will generate lesser profits (or will even close down), the heat from the police will be much higher & funds will quickly diminish.
There will be only two ways to win a mafia war depending on the justification you chose, these will be:
Eliminate Competition

• Rival family business are wiped out
  
• Rival family members are all dead or imprisoned
  

Take over their Business

• Rival family business' are in ruins (this is determined on how much of their illegal business were destroyed)
  
• Rival family members are in disarray (this is determined on how much of their soldiers/"made guys" were killed/imprisoned)
  

If you win the "eliminate competion" option, your family will receive 500 million cash, your illegal business' will triple their profits, consequences are the police will now target your family more (double the sting operations, more rats popping up etc), seeing that your organization is now the most powerful mafia family in the city.
If you win the "take over their business" option, your illegal business will triple their profits, the rival family will be weakened, the police will be more wary of your crime family there's a big chance of rats & stings operations.
If other Crime Families sided with you during the war & you won, you will have to compensate them for 40 million
Ways to lose a mafia war

• You've run out of funds
  
• Got arrested and convicted during a mafia war
  
• All of your family members are dead
  
• You willfully surrender to your rivals
  

Consequences for losing the war, you will be removed from being the boss or outright be killed by your rivals.
Some Factors in winning a Mafia War

• Capos/Soldiers that have high Intelligence & Willpower have the higher chance of killing/wiping off enemy Soldiers/Members & Businesses
  
• Your family's number of Soldiers vs the enemies number of Soldiers, if you have a higher troop count, you have a bigger chance of winning the war, if both syndicates have the same amount of soldiers you may have a tougher time in winning the war.
  
• Number of political allies, having a political ally may also increase your chance in winning the war.
  

Character interactions
Your family and friends should be wary of you being a mobster, for example, you mother or sister found out that your character is actually a mafia soldier, this will make them disown you, your relationships with them will instantly go to 0 & your happiness will also take a dive.
And the interactions within the mafia family should follow the hierarchy (For example, no associate should be able to directly access the GodfatheGodmother and ask him/her out to go and watch a concert of Lady Gaga lol)
Random Events
Random events should be according to your rank, for example, you're the current Mafia Godfather random events should be in line to your rank, a random guy suddenly insults you on the streets, there should be an option like putting a contract on his/her life or have your soldiers whack him/her or a celebrity starting a "beef" with you, you can either order your men to kill him or just order them beat him up.
Rival Gangs
If you choose to be in the Italian Mafia, your rivals should be the other gangs like Russian Mafia, Yakuza, Triad, Lating Mafia etc and If you're in Sicily, the rival family will be another Sicilian Mafia (i.e You're family is the Visconti Family your rivals will be another Sicilian family)
There should be also family rankings, for example, the Italian Mafia is the current most powerful crime syndicate in the city, followed by the Russian Mafia, followed by the Latin Mafia etc the rankings can change yearly depending on how much muscle (number of soldiers) & income of the families earn, you can also be the most powerful crime family for 10 years if you won a mafia war. If you choose to start a Mafia War the other families can join sides, for example the Italian Mafia waged a war against the Yakuza, the other families will join which side they want, or if you formed an alliance with another mafia family, they will side with you during the war no matter what.

I'm looking for a 2/1/0-1 townhouse in the outer-inner-west and the prices are insane. I'm regularly seeing sales for $1.3-1.5m. In 2021-2022, you could buy a duplex for that amount -- which go for up to $2m now.
I can just barely afford these prices, but it feels like such poor value when you also remember how garbage Australian building standards are if you aren't buying new -- which will have an even bigger premium and an unknown number of defects.
Anyone else not bought because of this? I just have all my money in stocks right now.

AITA for building a DND 3.5 character with a higher power level than the rest of the party/group?

LONG
BACKGROUND
so, a little background, ive been a member of a teens-youg adult group at a local gameshop for a few years now and aside from the DMs everyone has stayed from when i first joined, as for the current DM he has run the last 3 campaigns (a VTM, WTA and the current 3.5) and definatly seems of the CN variety as he tends not to stress the hard details/rules too much and often decides against looking up specific rules (called shots, unusual battlegrounds, special attacks, multiclass rules, etc) in favor of creating a quick patch for the circumstances and keeping with it should it come up again(unless someone brings up a specific concern). he plays by the rules of "the stronger you make your characters the stronger monsters you'll find" (which is fine, keeps encounters interesting and you get cooler monsters to fight). as for character creation we started lvl 4 and it was my first time playing 3.5 (had experience with pathfinder 1e tho) he allowed a surprising amount of books to draw from and i decided to make a cleric of gorum (pathfinder battle deity i ran by him first) and eventually landed on a half ogre(from savage species 1 lvl adjustment, +6 str -2dex +2con -2 int -2cha, large size) 1 lvl in barbarian with variant whirling frenzy rage, 2 lvl cleric with war(greatsword) and str domains. i continued to lvl cleric to lvl 3 and then just before THE SESSION took place i took a lvl in shaman (oriental adventures, domains: str and wrath), the feats he had were power attack, additional rage and battle jump(oriental adventures, different from battle leap) at this point we were lvl 6.(side note, all characters had max hp for their hit dice per lvl). the party consisted of: half elf paladin of freedom(healer, frontliner), an assimar cleric of anubis (healer, damage caster), bugbear pugilist fighter(tank/vanguard, comic relief), and me(healer, dps and slight glass cannon)
THE SESSION
the session started out pretty standard, we had spent the last 8 or so sessions exploring a megadungeon and we had left off in some catacombs, few traps here and there we arrive at where the main fight happens, we were fighting a giant praying mantis and a giant python, me, the paladin and the fighter start fighting the mantis and the anubian cleric starts a sandstorm around the python, a few rounds in and the mantis is mostly down due to my damage(i have noticed in a few prior fights that i have a significantly higher dps than the rest but i brushed it off with the thought that i also had the least hit points and get much closer to dieing most fights), meanwhile the python has managed to grab the cleric and has started constricting him rendering him somewhat in a pickle, the paladin on their turn (just before mine) manages to finish the mantis off so i decide to pull out the combo that i had just assembled on the python, using my str domain ability and having had both animal's frenzy and bulls strength + rage on me i had quite the str that round (32 for a +11str) and i used both battle jump and Rino's rush(from the wrath domain) to give a x4 to my charge attack and deal a nice round 160 dmg in one strike, as i was somewhat explaining what i was doing the others(fighter and paladin) were warning me against it due to prior rule regarding powerful characters and that i might hit the cleric(to which i was confidant enough my at the moment +21(which rolled to a 33) to hit wouldn't miss the snake), as i concluded damage calculations the dm looked to the other cleric and said to take half(80) of that damage which already being down 30-40 hitpoints instantly killed them and the dm promptly explained that the snake had only received 80 dmg as well and that it was due to how the constriction worked. i then proceeded to get somewhat berated by F and P (the cleric was somewhat quiet and had somewhat continued to work on his tank backup he ironically had been making before the session began) about how i shouldn't have assumed that the DM would let me just hit the snake and not my own ally(it is worth mentioning at this point two things, A. that no one had landed a hit on the snake during constriction and thus we didnt know the damage sharing ability and B. that even without the battle jump and rino's rush if i just walked up to the snake and hit it twice(not difficult with +21 against aproxamate ac 22) i still would have likely ended up killing the cleric since he stated that even 36 damage would have instakilled him (avg damage per hit with these buffs applied added up to 3d6(13.5)+23 dmg and constriction and or bleed would kill him) and when i protested to the dm that there are ways to deal damage without striking it down the middle (ex, cut off the snake's heat) he said i never asked for a called shot. i was then declared to have moved down to chaotic evil (priorly CN who at the start of the campaign was CG and had moved down due to breaking a parley declared by ambushing kobolds and a kobold mage whom i thought would be enemies of the faith due to gorum's tenants which in hindsight was meant to become a social encounter) despite (at that point) my intent to grieve once the battle was over(the cleric had been the kindest in the party thus far and i was still trying to play CG). i could somewhat see where the alignment change had come from since actions determine alignment and thus i could still reclaim my alignment by properly displaying my atonement and sorrow and desire to do better(and i spent a good few minutes trying to figure out how to revive him cause at this point i knew i had screwed up and needed to try to fix it). aside from that it was now the fighter's turn and at this point i got slightly distracted trying to help cleric with his backup and went to grab/check the index of a book on the far shelf, when i returned a minute later it was the python's turn and it attacked me (naturally) and had transformed into a dragon(which at this point was the only time id seen the dm rebalance a combat mid combat) which then proceeded to one-shot me to death despite only being down 10hp this whole fight and as far as im aware he never even bothered to ask for AC(when i had just made a massive AC boost from scale male to +1 plate earlier no less) and when the paladin attacked after both us clerics hit the floor and got a 32 to hit on a smite missed, after P and F consulted about escaping and/or retrieving the anubian cleric's body(whom it was stated was beginning to be devoured alongside mine) the dm did some deus ex machina'ing (which he has done before mostly to prevent large numbers of character deaths in the past and not unusual for the table considering we swim in powerful company frequently). after the session as me and cleric were setting up new characters and after being threatened if i made another min-maxed character(of which there was very little of deliberatly done, im not known for playing broken characters (gimmicky? yes, broken? rarely or only as ideas) cleric said that he was fine with me having killed his character which helped me feel a bit better about the whole thing but im still troubled about how DM, P and F reacted respectively to the event. AITA?

I have seen a surprising (and saddening) number of users on this sub who are supportive of not just a wider conscription effort in Ukraine, but also of European countries deporting eligible Ukrainian men back to Ukraine to fight. This noble desire to see Ukraine win the war is, however, blinding some people to the troubling conclusions it leads to.
If military conscription is considered acceptable when a country faces an existential threat, wouldn't forced pregnancy and birth also be justified in the face of declining birth rates? Basic math shows that a nation with below-replacement fertility rates will eventually cease to exist. By the logic of some in this sub, this justifies a nation's use of any means necessary to ensure its survival. Policies to encourage childbirth could certainly be explored before that, but that's not the point here. The question is: if all else fails, is it moral for a country to force women to bear children against their will? I would emphatically say no, and I believe most people here would agree.
I've seen a tiny number of people here support forced births as a last resort so I imagine there are those here who support both drafts and force birth. To those people, I simply ask that you say the quiet part out loud.

Some with distinctive differences, Some close to similar, Some illogical, Some made up of something else(laws, concepts, views, mathematics, science, fire, ice, time, anything). He is at the top of this. Meaning infinitely above these "glasses".
Now he finds something that transcend these glasses. Lets call it "factory". In this factory is someone. "Johnny" lets call him. Johnny views all of the glasses he made as fictional. He is transcendentally above his creations. (BY THE WAY THE GLASSES BELOW HAVE EVERTTHING) . Somehow "Joe " transcends the place he is in to the place where "Johnny" is. Joe kills Johnny. Meaning he killed his author.
1). Is this cosmology feasible? 2). Does it contradict the definition or rules of a cosmology? 3). Where does this cosmology scale to? 4). How do I further expand this cosmology?

I’ve yet to find a nuanced discussion about “privacy”. It’s usually a bunch of people complaining about consent and their “data” being used to profit. And then when people push back on it they’ll say something like “okay what’s your social security number?” “What’s your home address?”
To me this feels like an enormous reach, and it makes me wonder what do people actually care about in terms of privacy?
I won’t be giving out my social security number because it can be used to create accounts in my name and steal my money, or impersonate me and cause me legitimate trouble.
But if some company sees that I clicked on a website about the best house cleaning robot, or that I like hot cross buns. Why would I care if companies know that? If someone wants to show me something about something I’m interested in shouldn’t I want to see it?
Wouldn’t it be better than getting ads about stuff I don’t give a shit about?
And social media and search engines have their whole business model around ads, and so does YouTube.
So to me it seems like they’re really saying “I want to pay money for all these things I get for free because I don’t want to see ads about things that I am interested in”
It also feels anti-small business because people are wanting to make advertising more difficult, therefore making it harder for small businesses to succeed while big corporations still rake in huge profits.
I’m pretty sure we can have a world where our “actually private” data like social security numbers and emails are protected while still allowing companies to see that we like cooking.
Maybe I’m just bias because I have a business and using ads helps me survive.
So… what data do you want private? And what would you be willing to share in an ideal world?

Edit 2: I’ve seen some people complain about being accused as criminals, like when some dad took pictures of his toddler and sent them to a doctor, or the guy that “looked like the criminal”, but these cases sound like it’s a case of mismanagement or lacking appropriate functionality to handle those situations rather than actual privacy issues.

Someone tried to break into my house(by kicking the door and breaking 2 windows glasses with a rock) - called the police, officer showed up, collected info and gave me his card and case number
3 days later the person came back and just threw a rock at another window. - called the police, no officer showed up but I was given a case number through the phone
Then I installed some camera.
Last night (10:46pm) I saw 3 guys on my camera, one of them came to my garage and I could hear him saying to the others that "a camera was installed". - called the police twice, no officer showed up, no case number, I had to almost beg them to collect the video footage I have from the guy walking (can only see his white hoodie, he was fully covered)
My house is 50ft from the street and I have neighbors all around. By the person's voice I would say he is 20 or younger. They walked up the street, no cars seen.

Context : I (26 F) shifted to Delhi 5 months back with a new job from my hometown. I actively sought out opportunities in Delhi NCR because doing my MBA online, and then WFH for 2 years completely drained my learning, social life and job readiness. My friends, extended family and partner are all based out of Delhi so I took a job here. I thought I could be happy here but it feels like things have gone horribly South. I want to have a job that pays my bills and a little extra for my savings and future financial goals, and I want to have time for myself to spend with my friends, family and personal interests.
A Little about me and my current job : I graduated with an MBA in marketing during covid and got a decent package and worked a marketing manager for 2 years in an Ed tech company. My current job role (education industry) , when I interviewed was supposed to be on the same line, however as soon as I joined, on the first day the role was changed and it has become a completely sales and target driven role. It is a role that involves entering a new market outside of India and I am the only one working in this role. I thought about it for a while and decided to continue because I thought that it will be new and challenging and I will get to learning curve and growth will be holistic. However, it has turned out to be exactly the opposite. There is zero guidance I receive from my boss and there is an intense pressure to meet the targets every month. If there is no guidance, then at least there should be an openness to experimenting and failing at an organisational level. I feel like there is neither currently and nor is it going to change. Last week I was randomly called to a meeting and put on PIP as my numbers were not met. My boss is rude, unsupportive and doesn't listen. I did not get a chance to even speak or make my case. My motivation to work in this role and this company has completely vanished and I don't even like the product that I am selling. Only my gaps are being pointed out but when over the last 5 months I have constantly gone to ask for help, I was told off saying that my boss doesn't have the time. At a self confidence level I am at an all time low, and so the money that is coming in at the end of the month, feels like it doesn't even matter. I have been working 12-15 hours a day including weekends and it feels like the work is never ending and I am getting nowhere. Oh and to top it all off, I recently found out that I am one of the lowest paid person in my team (comparing this only with folks who are my age, have the same kind of experience as I do and also don't even have an MBA). I am thinking of quitting this to find something more suited to my education, interest and skill set - but that takes time and there is a lot of uncertainty involved. There is also no guarantee that the next job will be worth it as well.
Advise I need : 1. Given that my fixed expenses are about 50k per month (including rent, bills, food and EMI payment for education ), and I have about 2 lacs in savings, should I quit and search for better full time opportunities? While I am going on the job hunt, I do want to spend some time doing a bit of soul searching - take part in NGO work (part time), doing part time coaching for school kids and work on my art projects? 2. Am I over-reacting on this whole thing? I need somebody to tell me the truth. Is corporate life just like this no matter which company I go to? I have also thought about the fact that my experience is worse because of the whole culture shock and completely different way of life. I sometimes cannot understand why Delhi folks, especially in the business world, say something but always mean something different. Where I come from, people say things how they are. Should I just gulp my aspirations down and go about it for some time till I get my confidence back and have a little bit of more financial backing? 3. What is the chance that after a bit of career break, I will be able to join the workforce again and start off with a decent pay hike?
I am wracking my brain over this for the last couple of months and now I have reached a tipping point. What do I do? Please advise.

Same story, my mom got super into the political news 24/7 and loves trump. Around 2018-2019 it really started.
She never even voted before the 2016 election but she's super invested in Trump and is constantly watching the 24 hour news networks.
This has been going on for years and I've played along because she doesn't leave the house except for doctor appointments so I'm like ok this is her world I get it.
but she's been on Facebook listening to this lady who "has conversations with god" and god seemingly only talks to her about politics apparently and the future of what's in the news... Very vague messages like a political horoscope.
"Something something trump is innocent sayith the lord" it's super creepy.
She is constantly watching this lady and telling me what she says every time I'm over there once or twice a week and I don't even know what the hell to say. Apparently people coming into the country are terrorists and being paid by the government to start a civil war.
I mean she's telling me about some reporter who's lying because he wants to see trump go down. What? Where is she getting this information from?
My step dad said it's all she talks about and he recently subscribed to Netflix hoping she will focus on something different because he thinks she's lost it and won't talk to her about any of it. He's basically moved out to the garage because she doesn't talk about anything else.
What the hell do I even do? I used to sit and talk with her for an hour or 2 but now I'm checking out after about 10 minutes I can't take it.
I honestly thought her meds needed adjusted and was going to mention it to her psychiatrist doctor but maybe it's just a thing I need to accept.
I asked her "if you were god would you find it acceptable to stop what you were doing and talk to a random lady about trump?" And she said "yes, because trump is an important child of god and he needs to bring the Democrats down"
That was my giving up moment.

I have several friends who don't own this game, but come over to play casually.
So far, we've just been playing my favorite scenarios from various expansions, but I figured it might be interesting to combine some of my favorites into a custom campaign, & paste on some unifying theme:

• Tragedy strikes! After the events of MTS, a group of villains make a concerted assault on Odin's vault & take back the Infinity Gauntlet. However, since these villains do not trust each other, no one was willing to give all the Stones to 1 person. So they decided to give one to each villain to rule in their own area of time & space. Fortunately, you can track each Stones' electomagnetic signature, so you know their locations. You just need to wrest them from the villains who have them.

You can do the following 6 scenarios in any order (*I picked scenarios that I thought my friends would like):

1. Soul: Green Goblin* (or Venom Goblin)
2. Power: Juggernaut* (or Nebula, Ronan)
3. Reality: Zola* (or Red Skull)
4. Mind: Mr. Sinister* with Focusing In as the first Main Scheme 2A (or Stryfe, Mysterio)
5. Space: Hela* (or Magneto, Collector, Mojo Mania, Dark Beast)
6. Time: En Sabah Nur* (or Kang)

If you win the scenario, you keep the Stone.
If you lose the scenario, the Stone will added to the Infinity Gauntlet mod of the final scenario. And if you own a lot of heroes, those heroes are killed & cannot be used again in the campaign.

• Final scenario: Apocalypse*, who backstabbed all of the villains who were still holding Stones. He has the MTS Infinity Gauntlet mod, except that blank cards take the place of any Stones the heroes have (so that if there's only 1 stone, it doesn't trigger every 2 activations).
• So you are incentivized to beat the first 6 scenarios. Otherwise, the final boss could be difficult with a full Infinity Gauntlet.

With my friends I'll probably just do Option 1 below, but I'm thinking about other possible options for when I play solo:
OPTION 1: Keep it simple; just play as stated above.
OPTION 2: Use the appropriate MTS Infinity Gauntlet mod card & use counters to make it trigger about every (P+3) rounds (P = number of players), except for Power Stone, which is used as is.
OPTION 3: Use a custom Infinity Stone mod for 6 villains & their respective mods, which, like the MTS Power Stone mod, can pass back & forth between villain & player. Possibilities:
Soul: All minions (for villain) or allies (for a player) gain Tough.

• Switches to player when they defeat a minion they are engaged with.
• Switches to villain when they defeat an ally of the player with the Stone.

Power: +1 ATK; cannot be stunned (or just use the MTS mod)

• use same requirements as MTS mod

Reality: If villain has it, they get 1 facedown boost card at beginning of villain phase. If a player has it, once per round they may play an upgrade or attachment for 1 less resource.

• Switches to player when they discard half of their printed hero hand size (rounded up) from hand.
• Switches to villain when the encounter deck runs out.

Mind: +1 SCH/THW; cannot be confused.

• Switches to player when their identity (not allies) thwarts for 4+ from main scheme.
• Switches to villain when they SCH for 4+ against the player with the Stone.

Space: If villain has it, their attacks gain ranged & they allies cannot defend against their attacks. If player has it, their attacks gain ranged & are unaffected by guard.

• Switches to player when they spend a physical + mental + energy resource.
• Switches to villain when the encounter deck runs out.

Time: If villain has it, +1 Acceleration icon per player. If player has it, they may ready their identity after a basic action (once per round).

• Switches to player when they perform no actions during the player phase (skips a turn, in other words).
• Switches to villain when the encounter deck runs out.

OPTION 4: Add a related mod, such as:

1. Soul: Down to Earth
2. Power: Super Strength or Symbiotic Strength
3. Reality: Dystopian Nightmare or Legions of Hel
4. Mind: Personal Nightmare &/or Whispers of Paranoia (or Enchantress until defeated)
5. Space: Add Badoon Headhunter to every future scenario, until they're defeated
6. Time: Add Master of Time or Future Past to every future scenario, until they're defeated

OPTION 5: During setup, put a Mojo Mania Environment in play, such as:

1. Soul: Fantasy
2. Power: Horror
3. Reality: Sitcom
4. Mind: Crime
5. Space: Sci-Fi (or Blue Moon from Dark Beast)
6. Time: Western (or Savage Land from Dark Beast)

OPTION 6: Use the GMW Market to get cards. To unlock the Market, you must either have a Guardian hero, or the Space Stone, or have won a Mojo Mania scenario (so maybe this campaign has 8 scenarios).
I just started thinking about this, so I'm open to any comments or feedback (especially Option 3, since I haven't playtested anything yet).

Basically one of the lens got a crack idk if it was there before or after the drop anyways how do I find The serial number the box is gone and can't find it on the headset I need it so I can fix it I'm hoping it's not to expensive to fix it And also i would rather not spend money on this if you know any fixes without buying that would be great I have tried re calibrating it but it can't track so not possible

I’ve gotten lots of helpful notes from this forum so also sharing my experience here for reference:
Age: 30
Facility: NYU Langone
Final results: 54 retrieval, 36 mature for freezing
Overall experience: felt very normal and stable physically and emotionally during the cycle except for some bloating/heavy feeling towards the very end; morning monitoring and injections were easy; post retrieval was rough (heavy cramping and nausea, stayed in recovery room for 2h before able to leave). Still feeling bloated and sore now almost 36 hours after. Doctor said it’s normal given that I’m petit + large retrieval number
Prep: did my initial consultation back in June last year and procrastinated till now to actually do the cycle (first month of turning 30). I always take vitamin c, d, and fish oil. Starting taking prenatal with frolic acid and coq10 maybe 1-2 months prior. Didn’t stop drinking or exercising till actual cycle start.

5/18 day 1, called nyu to schedule for day 2
5/19 day 2, started meds Gonal-F and Menopur
Morning monitoring every other day, which for me was a pleasant walk across Central Park so no complaint.
5/26 day 8 onwards, started to go every morning; stopped Menopur in the last two days
5/29 day 12 got instruction to do trigger shot 80 units Lupron in the middle of the night
5/30 day 13 trigger shots past midnight and in the afternoon (80/40 units)
5/31 day 14 retrieval around noon. Felt easy and relaxed before the procedure and was honestly a bit shocked how weak/impacted I felt afterwards. Nurse said I looked very pale and had to have me more liquid IV and meds to alleviate the pain&nausea. My blood pressure was very low so had to stay in discovery room for monitoring. After going home, I couldn’t really move as everything felt very tender. I kept on drinking coconut water and water with electrolytes. I ate some home cooked congee and cookies for dinner and crawled back to bed. Woke up in the middle of the night feeling very bloated and uncomfortable- any movement creates soreness and certain angles are painful to lie on. Can’t really take deep breath or engage core at any capacity- felt very immobile. 6/1 day 15 felt better when I woke up but still had trouble moving/standing straight/breathing deeply. Pretty much in bed all day but can feel the recovery as the day passed and even ventured out (slowly) to Trader Joe’s to buy more liquids. Doctor called to inform final count and told me it’s normal to experience a rough recovery as I’m a small person and it’s a lot of eggs!
Will continue to update as recovery goes!
For reference my friend who did retrieval three years ago when she’s 27 got out 37/47 and my other friend (same age) who did it last September got out 33/37. Both of them felt fine very soon after retrieval so I’m surprised I’m experiencing such strong reaction. Fingers crossed for a fast recovery. Can’t wait to get back to running & CrossFit!

Just a heads up, this theory is posted at the time that only a few episodes of the anime have been released. Depending on how much the anime stays like the manga, details may end up changing. Therefore, the entire theory will be based solely on the manga. I will also leave snippets of the manga with the highlighted text to support my claim. Thanks!Hello, my fellow Platinum End fans! If you’re like me, the ending completely caught me off guard and left my head-scratching. Do not worry! I’ve overanalyzed everything and made a theory to possibly explain who god and those beings at the end of the story are, so you don’t have to. Those beings at the end of the manga, chapter 58, are drum roll…humans of the future who have achieved many scientific advancements who existed well before the story of Platinum End takes place and are simulating their own world with fake humans, fake angels, and a fake god. Why are the real humans running this simulation? Simply put, they’re suicidal and no amount of therapy is going to help with that. Why are they wanting to die? In the future, it is predicted by Gaku Yoneda that within 500 years, humans will achieve immortality. Once they achieve immortality, they will eventually master time and space and will be able to do things like teleport, time travel, see the future, etc. And once humans achieve immortality and are able to know all of the future, they will discover that the future cannot be changed according to Dr. Yoneda. Just like Dr. Yoneda’s prediction, the real humans are wanting to die which is why it’s stated by one of the real humans how annoying it is that there is no death. Whatever the process was that made the real humans immortal, it seems that it cannot be reversed to restore one’s mortality. Although it’s not stated how humans will achieve immortality and allow them to control time and space, this will somehow cause humanity’s apocalypse as well, destroying the original Earth. What makes these creatures more human-like than god-like is that they admit they were born on another planet, most likely the original Earth. They are also aware that they too were created by something that is above them. How do we know Dr. Yoneda’s predictions are right? It was stated by Shuji Nakaumi that his past predictions came true. One thing to understand about science is that it’s extremely good at accurately predicting things. Example 1: With Issac Newton’s law of motion, scientists can predict the position of an object at any specific time, past, present, or future. Example 2: In the 1840s, Fitzner astronomer Urbain Le Verrier was analyzing the orbit pathway of Mercury and found that it is changing very slowly over time. With technology limited at that time, it was hard to provide proof. In 1915, the famous German physicist, Albert Einstein was able to calculate the influence of the curved space in Mercury’s orbit. That is 75 years later that science proved its prediction was right. Although science cannot tell future events like a psychic will attempt to, I believe this is what the author was using to help advance the plot for the ending. The real humans already know the future and they’re aware that no matter what they try, death is not a part of that. If they cannot do it, someone else can. That is when these simulations come in. The real humans will create simulated humans. In one of the simulations, the story of Platinum End takes place. This would not be on a computer. This process would involve terraforming an entire planet to support carbon-based life. The planet that the simulated humans live on will be similar to the original Earth as well as the history and advancement of science will be similar to the real humans. As the simulated human’s society progresses, like in Platinum End, they would eventually learn how to become immortal and learn how to control space-time which would lead to them wanting to die just like the real humans. But unlike the real humans, the simulated ones may actually achieve a way to kill themselves once they obtain immortality that the real humans could use. But as we already know stated by the real humans, this specific simulation was a failure. Nothing was created that was capable of killing them. Thus, the real humans will move on to a new simulation. Pay very special attention to this picture. Notice right after all of the humans disappear when the fake god kills himself, the buildings are slowly crumbling away since no one is here to maintain them. According to World Building, it would take an average of 250 years for a building to start to break apart since materials like wood and plastic would be destroyed by the environment if not maintained. Metal would be expanding and no longer able to keep the building's structure in place. This would cause things like windows to fall off and shatter. So after a few hundred years, the real humans return to the planet after the simulated humans disappeared due to the fake god’s suicide. It’s possible that during this time they’re running other simulations on other planets and returned when this simulation was completed. Since the real humans have achieved master over space-time, teleporting to anywhere in the universe would not be out of the question. Since they cannot die, the amount of time it would take for the real humans to travel anywhere in the universe is irrelevant as well. Even though Gaku Yoneda’s predictions about the simulated humanity’s end were wrong, he was technically right. It did come true for the real humans. If Shuji Nakaumi, as the fake god, did not kill himself and wipe out all of the fake humans, they would of most likely learned how to cheat death and to control space-time in the future. Gaku was wrong about the fake god being a product of human belief in order to live. He even admits that the composition of the fake god was wrong. If the fake god required human belief to live, then Shuji would not have erased the memories of those who were not god candidates as it would have affected the fake god's existence if fewer people believed in him. There is one thing that begs the question. Why is a fake god needed to run these simulations? Why do the simulated humans have souls? Why not just create the simulated humans and leave them to figure out how to create an immortal killing machine without the process of a false god? This is because God and souls are actually real and are necessary for life to exist. To clarify, the “God” that Shuji Nakaumi was transmuted into is not the true God that I’m referring to. I’m referring to the first cause of everything, a self-aware creator, a deistic God who existed before time and space who created the universe and does not intervene in its creation. This means no miracles, prophecy, answering prayers, divine revelation, etc. Everything in the universe is governed by physics and these laws cannot be broken. The real humans who are running the simulations are aware that they are a creation made from a creator. However, since a deistic God does not interfere in the universe, the real humans cannot know of him, at least while they are still alive. Considering the real humans can control space-time, I can say for certain at one point, at least one person went to the very beginning of time and saw something that would be evidence of an intelligent designer creating the universe. When the real humans are conversing with each other at the finale, one human suggests identifying what created them and the second one replies that seeking their creator will be a waste of time. If a deistic God won’t intervene in its creation, the real humans would be wasting time by attempting to contact him. Even though they can control space-time, if the creator exists outside of reality, they would not be able to reach this entity. Focusing on figuring out who created them means that time is wasted if they're not figuring out how to die which is why it would take them further away from death. Just as the simulated humans have souls, the real humans also have souls. At some point, the real humans discovered the soul. They are aware that this is needed for life to be sentient. The discovery of the soul could have played a key part in the real humans achieving immortality. The fake god is engineered by the real humans to create souls so that life can be sentient, mimic the universe's deistic God by allowing the simulation to run with no interference, and act as a mod to keep an eye on life with the red and white arrows. The celestial realm was created so the fake god would not be a part of the simulated world. Even though time moves differently in the celestial realm, it is the closest thing that the real humans can engineer to simulate a deist God that is separated from its creation. This fake god does not have the powers of a supreme being. The fake god does not know everything, is not everywhere at once, and does not display any sort of omnipotent ability. There is a lot of things that the fake god admits to not knowing, such as who created him, why are souls preserved, and how long does the merging process take. Although we do see the fake god have the ability to observe humanity, I would say that this is the equivalent of having admin privileges to watch humanity live-streamed on YouTube. The fake god is aware that he is created by someone. The fake god noticed that there are things that had already been created that he was not a part of just by observing everything in the universe. Although he seems to not understand what created him. He even acknowledges the idea that humanity could have created him. All the simulated souls come from the fake god. This is done through a process of emanation, which means to flow from. In the Abrahamic religions, specifically Gnosticism, Jewish Mysticism, and certain sectors of Protestantism, instead of your typical creator being separate from its creation, everything is a spontaneous outflow from God. As pieces of God emanate from him, it becomes less divine, but these pieces will eventually become an individual soul that forms into human spirits, angels, demons, as well as other things that come into reality such as heaven, hell, and the world of the living. Eventually, everything that came from God, will return back to the creator. (If you’re still confused on what emanation is, I would do more research before continuing to read as this will play a key role in understanding who the fake god is.) Emanation is how the fake god created the simulated human and their soul, the fake angels, and the celestial realm. The fake god took a piece of himself and used it to create life. Since everything emanates from the fake god is connected to him, as he is dying, most of the angels are dying too. Due to this connection, when the fake god killed himself, everything that was tied to the fake god disappeared. But because the creation of the fake god is not connected to the physical world, the planet and everything that is not life remained on it. When the simulated human beings die, the soul goes to the celestial realm. This is the returning aspect of emanation. The souls that came from the fake god are returning back to him. You always see all angels, regardless of rank, having the task of carrying the souls to the celestial realm. It seems that the main purpose of the angels is to help with the return part of the emanation process. The more that the emanence is divided, the less divine it becomes. This is why the fake humans are considered sub-celestial in the hierarchy. It appears that there is a certain order to the flow of emanation. The newest creations emanate from the fake god. Kids will be the first in the line for the emanate process and their parents will be behind them. This is why when the fake god committed suicide, the kids were the first ones to disappear, then the adults. All things that emanate from the fake god are returning to the original source in reverse order when the fake god takes his own life. When the fake god merges with a human, this appears to go against the set pattern of the emanation process by breaking the order in which the emanence flows. This is why when Shuji merged with the fake god, it felt like there was something foreign in the fake god's body similar to how an infected person's body acts when the immune system detects foreign bacteria or a virus. The only way to get around it is by the fake god merging with a simulated human and having the fake god take over the new body when the fusion is completedIt is stated by the fake god that it is nothing more than humanity's assumption that God cannot die. This may be true for the deistic God, but not for a fake god. It is already known that the real humans achieved immortality. Although the fake god could have been engineered to be immortal, that would just create another being who would eventually want to die. The fake god was designed to live a long life, compared to humans, that could be extended through the process of merging with one of its emanated counterparts until the simulation was completed. This has been done throughout time in the form of the god choosing process. The fake god confirmed to Shuji that his purpose was to create life. Professor Yoneda confirmed that the fake god was created by human imagination and that its purpose was to end life.On the surface, this may seem like a contradiction. But both of them are right. The fake god’s purpose was to create the simulated humans. God is metaphorically a creation of human imagination. It was not by the simulated human’s imagination as stated by Yoneda, but it was designed and engineered by the minds of the real humans. Since the purpose of the simulation is for the fake humans to achieve immortality and figure out how to reverse it, you can say that the fake god is a part of that process of killing humanity. Right as all of the humans are disappearing, Dr. Yoneda realizes that the composition that makes up the creature is based on a science that the simulated humans have not discovered yet. The composition of the fake god is Aether. In medieval times, a common study among scholars is alchemy, which can be best described as the forerunner for modern-day chemistry mixed with the pseudoscience of metaphysics. According to Charles Gillispie, a historian at Princeton University, in his book, The Edge of Objectivity, An Essay in the History of Scientific Ideas, Aether is the fifth element, along with earth, wind, fire, and water, that are the basic building blocks of the universe. During medieval times, Aether is the substance that is believed to connect the physical world to the spiritual one. It was even a common belief that the Abrahamic God was surrounded by Aether and that all of the angels, demons, and souls that dwelled in the afterlife breathed it in as humans breathed in the air. According to Jakob Bernoulli, a mathematician from the 1600s, believed that Aether is what allowed souls to interact with their human bodies. All of these characteristics of Aether match the composition of the fake god. Aether is what allows life to become sentient, connecting all of the simulated humans back to the fake god from the physical world to the celestial realm. It seems at some point, the real humans discover this element. This discovery most likely led to the discovery of the soul. Using this element, the real humans used Aether to construct the fake god needed for the simulations. Everything that is a part of the simulation, the fake god, angels, the soul, the arrows, is made up of this element. The red arrow is what allows the god candidates to make other humans fall in love with them so much that the person who is under the influence of the arrow will do literally anything the person who is in control wants, even die for them. The white arrow has the ability to kill any life while all inanimate objects are unaffected. These were limits placed on the arrows by the fake god. According to Ogaro, the fake god can use the full power of the arrows at will. The red arrow is more than just making someone fall in love. The arrow does this by taking away their free will. The god candidates were limited to using the arrow on 14 people at once for a period of up to 33 days. With the fake god able to use the full power of the red arrow, he can enslave any or all simulated humans with a snap of his finger for as long as he desired. The red arrow also played a role in creating the first simulated life as well. The fake god stated that if life was left alone, it would multiply. The desire of falling in love and wanting to procreate was implanted by the red arrow when life was created. The white arrow is the opposite of the red arrow. This arrow can kill life instantly. The limit that was placed on this arrow is that only one white arrow can be shot at a time. Just like the red arrow, this arrow has a maximum range of 31.6 meters. When cycling the white arrow, there is a cool down period of 0.3 seconds. If these limiters are removed, the fake god can kill all humans with the white arrows with virtually no limit on distance, any number of arrows can be used simultaneously, and there would be no mandatory cool down period.The creation of the simulated humans involves two key ingredients. The first is the soul which comes from the fake god. The second is a physical body for the soul to be attached to. The real humans asked if it was worth planting another seed and another god as those are two separate things.The making of another god is obviously the fake god. But what is the seed? The seed is what makes the physical embodiment of all plants and animals that all emanence is attached to. I.E., souls attached to bodies. There are two types of bacteria, a classification of anaerobic bacteria that ate other organic compounds and simple sugars to survive. The other kind is autotrophs bacteria which is capable of self-feeding. Anaerobic bacteria would evolve into modern-day animals. Autotroph bacteria would evolve into modern-day plants that still have the ability to self-feed through a process of photosynthesis. It is possible to send bacteria through space. According to a 2020 study published in the Journal of Frontiers in Microbiology, bacteria were able to survive in space for three years. If the real humans were able to transport the seed through space in less than 3 years, it could easily survive. Considering they achieved immortality, it is within reason to think this would be a piece of cake for them. At some point, part of the anaerobic bacteria would come in contact with the fake god, who was on the fake Earth at that time to make life, recognized the fake god as food, and attempted to feed off of him to survive. The bacteria that fed off the fake god would eventually evolve into Nasse. The bacteria that did not feed off of the fake god would evolve into more complex forms of life on the fake Earth. Since Nasse was accidentally created from this event, it most likely means that she is the first angel that the fake god created. This means that she could serve as inspiration for the fake god to create angels for the celestial realm. The angels don't seem to share any ability to reproduce with each other. There is never any mention of any family heritage. It means that all of the angels were created around the same time. Since Nasse is the only angel that came from the seed/bacteria, her biological makeup differs from all the other angels. While the majority of her is angel, part of the genetic makeup is similar to carbon-based life. Although I would not say Nasse is an angel-human hybrid, she could be considered a type of Nephilim. Due to this biological difference, Nasse is the only angel that can interfere in both the physical world and the celestial realm. Much research has shown that facial expressions are innate among all animals, not just humans. The same animals that display facial expressions when expressing emotions, lying, determination, etc. use similar muscles in the face as humans do. For example, a Psychologist, Paul Ekman, studied facial expression from hours of film and ventured on to multiple isolated tribes who have very little contact with modern society. He showed them pictures of facial expressions and asked them to interpret them. These people were able to match facial expressions and their meaning with high accuracy. This is one of the many studies that show facial expressions are genetic. Even though Nasse is single-minded, she is able to understand facial expressions due to her biological relationship with the simulated life on the fake Earth. But hey, this is just a theory."

I'm working on a personal project where I extract three types of information from a PDF. Before extraction, I crop the PDF where I want to extract the information in three separate functions, build a dataframe, and save it in parquet files, giving me three files.

My question is, what is the best way to handle these files after their creation? I need to join the information after, the information is extracted in parallel, and in the end files don't seem related. Should I choose another file format that can handle more complex data types, or can I continue using parquet and join the files using the metadata?
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

While the election is a toss up and it's unclear at this moment who will actually win, one thing is clear in my opinion: Joe Biden will receive less minority votes, as a whole, than he did in 2020. There are multiple reasons for this and I will go through all of them.
The black vote: Joe Biden received enormous support from black voters both in the primary and general election in 2020. There are two reasons for this: nostalgia for Obama and the racial awakening following the Floyd incident. Black voters voted for the man who they associated with Obama and also became more politically active after Floyd.
However, in 2024, we have had no such racial tension(so far) and we are 8 years out from Obama's last year in office, as opposed to 4 years in 2020. This means that black voters are very likely unenthused. Polls show Trump getting almost a fifth of black support but I think this is likely an overestimate-I think it's more likely that a lot of them will just not show up to vote for Biden, which would help him anyway.
The Arab vote: Arab Americans are quite angry about Joe Biden's support for Israel during the current Gaza war. Many of them have sworn not to vote for him because of it. The war is not likely to end soon either-it'll likely drag into the end of summer or even fall.
I have experience with Palestinian Americans and can tell you that the guys hate the current administration's stance on Israel, they love Andrew Tate, and some of them already voted Republican in the past. At a minimum, I can see Arab women voting mostly uncommitted/third party and Arab men voting mostly uncommitted/third party and Trump.
The Hispanic vote: Hispanic Americans have been lurching right-wards for years now. They vote slightly redder every election. This election will likely be no different, especially because the border crisis is something that Latinos are very concerned about. Many, perhaps most of them, are anti illegal immigration. The majority are working class and many of them live in border states, making them the most likely to be impacted. 2023 saw record numbers of illegal immigration and the trend has not ceased.
When you put all these trends together, it's kind of hard not to see a situation where Biden ends up with less minority votes than he did the first time around. Again, that doesn't mean that he'll necessarily lose because the democrats have made gains with white suburban voters, especially women. But it doesn't bode well either.
