2024.01.28 02:06 Best-Lawfulness-4048 Help for Gsnap

Im trying to use gsnap in audacity. I downloaded the 32bit and gsnap didnt even open in audacity, then i downloaded the 64bit, it opened but it doesnt change any sound from the clip whatever i do. Could it be a problem that i have downloaded audacity in D drive instead of C since all the videos I''ve seen are talking about "program files(x86)"? Or what else could the problem be?

2023.07.20 08:14 wayne_rea How can I (16F, digital music trainee) enhance and autotune my voice?

AUDIO ENHANCEMENT
Y'know that when you're actually good at singing and start recording, you reproduce the audio and you hear that you don't sound like that?
That's what I'm trying to fix, I used my headphones with a mic on it but it still sounds bad and I don't even have a professional mic.
I used an AI to enhance my voice recording, it worked, but sometimes removes my high pitch.
AUTOTUNE
I'm also trying to find an autotune because not only I hear I sound bad, but also not tuned.
I heard that there's an Autotune in FL Studio, but can't find it because I use 12 instead of 20 (my dad said it's best to use 12 cuz I had FL 20 and one project of mine for my school was erased).
I also heard about the GSnap effect in Audacity, I tried to download it following the steps on YouTube, but when I try to enable GSnap, it says "could not load file".
I have Reaper but I don't know how to really use it and I don't even know how to start a track. Comapred to FL Studio, I only know that it only makes a track by linking an instrument and record it.
I also heard an autotune app on computer and I always see their process with the same app they use. The user on Instagram, "There, I ruined it", is an example, they use this app to change a singer's tune and "ruin songs". Could you tell me what app is called??
NOT RELATED TO THE TOPIC BUT I'M TELLING YOU ANYWAY
I also have a problem of stretching an instrumental cover in FL Studio and Reaper. I searched the song's bpm and I timed it to generate it's bpm.
The start of the song timed perfectly but everytime it processess, the timing slows down. I tried to adjust the tempo as possible, but the tempo is still slowing down, so I decided to use Audacity instead to make covers.

2022.08.07 02:18 chelledoggo I want to make a GLaDOS/turret-esque sounding voice, but I can't afford Melodyne. Does anyone know some good settings for Gsnap/Graillon2 or another free program?

I've been trying to get the same sort of GLaDOS/Turret voice effect with Gsnap and the free version of Graillon 2 for DarkAudacity, but it just doesn't seem to come out right?
Can anyone either recommend some good settings for one of the programs I mentioned, or maybe suggest another free software that I could use?
Thanks in advance.

I have put the extension in plugins but when I go to add/remove plugins in audacity and try to enable it, this message comes up: Effect or Command at C:\Program Files (86x)\Audacity\plug-ins\GSnap.dll failed to register: Could not load the library. I've looked at videos but they all just show how to install Gsnap and not fix the problem.

2022.03.01 00:11 CarrotMissile No notes displaying in pitch visualizer of GSnap (Plug-in)

Thanks to tutorials and other posts here, I've managed to get GSnap set up and merrily pitch-correcting my content. However, a feature mentioned in the manual that isn't working for me. I'm struggling to find guides that show how to troubleshoot it (or show it in action at all, for that matter).
(Description from GSnap Manual by GVST)
To the left of the controls is a visual representation of the pitch of the source and "tuned" material. The source material appears as a red line graph, and the tuned material a green one.
(Image of how it should look)
For me, the window and the controls show up perfectly, but the visualizer area remains grey no matter what. Even when the section is selected and I can hear GSnap successfully adjusting pitches, no colored lines or anything else show up.
If anyone has it working on their computer or knows of a guide specifically about this feature, that would be hugely appreciated!

2020.06.04 21:57 MarcusEdwardius76 Gsnap integration with Mac Catalina

Gsnap integration with Mac Catalina
Hey everyone. I'm working on a virtual choir project and I need a litttle (okay a LOT) of autotune help. I'm seeing that gsnap is the best plug in for this function, and so I've downloaded and attempted to enable it in Audacity.
Problem is ... every time I try to enable it, I get an error from Audacity saying it "failed to error" and even when I go to the Privacy screen in my System Preferences on my Mac to give it access, nothing happens when I click "Open Anyway."
Any suggestions on how I can get around this hurdle? Thanks.

2020.05.26 16:43 L0ij94 GVST Gsnap plug-in problem in macOS Catalina

Hi! First post ever so please bear with me! I'm running Catalina 10.15.4 on my macbook and have successfully bypassed the "unidentified developer" thing and have Audacity installed and working properly. However, when I try to install the GVST GSnap plug-in, my computer keeps on insisting I can't use the plug-in since it's from an unidentified developer. I've tried some things. First I went to System Preferences > Security & Privacy on my mac and there it said: "GSnap.vst was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer." Next to it, it says "open anyway"... Which I click on and then... Nothing. It does absolutely nothing. I've tried installing the GVST GClip (no GUI) for mac (for 32-bit VST hosts) version (I'm currently back to trying with the 64-bit) but that doesn't change anything. I just want to autotune some vocals in Audacity but can't seem to work around the developer thing. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or know of any other autotune plug-in I can use in Audacity on macOS Catalina? Thank you so much in advance!

Hi. New here. Was hoping someone could maybe help me out. Im just starting out mixing my own vocals using reaper i got a pretty good hang on the basics of the daw. The mixing is a little rough tho. I been using some autotune plugins (gsnap, and mautopitch) looking for a decent tpain effect and im barely getting any. In gsnap the option to force keys is not even on the interface. Im thinking maybe using audacity for autotune but i dont feel like doing any downloading tonight. But do yall have any idea why my autotune wont tpain? Lol

2019.10.02 05:02 Ocefox Voice Changer, seriously need help (software for YouTube Channel recordings)

No Idea if I used the right "flair", please tell me which to use if this is wrong. Thank you.
Hey, so I have no idea if I've already posted this kind of thing here. At this point I've looked in every nook and cranny for help and have made so many threads I dun even know. So here's the deal, I'm FtM with currently no intention of starting T. I'm closer to the non-binary scale than true masculine and a lot of the changes of T are ones I know would cause more dysphoria (like body and facial hair and balding). Even if I did take T (cause I'll probably cave and do it at some point) I'm on a long waiting list for the gender clinic and it'll be months before my first assessment appointment. I have chronic illness and really need to get a job but most jobs are out of reach so I figured why not start a YouTube channel? Basically all I do is play Minecraft while I learn programming and 3D modelling from my dad and if I can monetise that then awesome! (I also love talking and acting and YouTube is where people who like those things go to be a goof so, there's more than just money that I see as an advantage. A cool place to express.) But I've already tried YouTube before, a few years back I made 2 episodes of Bioshock and aside from it being extremely cringey the major reason I stopped uploading was my voice. It was extremely upsetting uploading videos with my natural feminine voice.

So that's the backstory. Lately I've been trying to figure out how to modify, either real time or during editing, my commentary audio tracks to sound naturally male. Key here, naturally. I tried Rovee, Kerovee, Graillon 2, Gsnap all for Audacity, tried pitch shifting and bass altering in Audacity straight, tried Voice Mod, MorphVX, Voxal, and Clownfish. They all just sounded like pitch changed girl audio except Kerovee which sounded identical to the voice in my head, (my real voice imo) but distorts the audio to the point where the quality is definitely below the bar for a YouTube video. I heard good stuff about MorphVX so I even bought it (was like, 67 aussie bucks) but it just sounds like pitch changes and definitely doesn't make me feel like crying with glee like the Kerovee change does, but it DOES produce better quality audio.

Honestly, this is driving me insane. A lot of the programs seem to think they can get away with just dropping the pitch but voice changes don't work that way. I've heard it work for singing sometimes but talking is different. Chances are I won't be singing much in my Minecraft Let's Plays *rolls eyes*. Anyway, I'm frustrated. I dunno what to do. I can't do anything to my physical RL voice until I get into the clinic and I want to sort this out so I can start recording. Kerovee worked so well... But I searched and searched and there isn't a way to clear up the audio quality. Using a better mic might help because Kerovee could be accentuating otherwise inaudible audio quirks but I can't afford a shit hot mic right now and I don't really think mic quality covers it.

I need help ;w; please help me. Any suggestions for making MorphVX sound more natural like the Kerovee voice? Any tips for clearing up the Kerovee audio so the quality is nice? Something else? I've sunk over a hundred dollars into this at this point thanks to MorphVX and Voice Mod but they're both the same as just manually changing pitch in Audacity. So please, help me ;w; please. I need to make this work. If you wanna hear examples I can post some audio clips but you'll have to tell me how cause I dunno. Reddit won't even let me post images lol.

2019.09.11 17:37 LesPaltaX Autotune (GSnap and other *.so) in Audacity

Hi! I've been trying for a while to get an Autotune plugin to work in my Pop-OS distro, but I haven't been able too.
I found this topic https://www.reddit.com/linux/comments/ajclo/finally_autotune_for_linux/ but it's archived and I've also followed some youtube tutorials without any luck.
My main issue seems to be that I don't know how to install *.so files. They don't show when I put them in the Plug-ins folder, and I can't find /uslib/ladspa that is mentioned in the thread above.
Has anyone had any luck? Share your experiences!

2019.06.03 03:33 NickDB8 Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors Vocals?

Trying to record a remix/cover of Pulk/Pull for more practice in terms of mastering, engineering, etc. I know the vocals are run through some sort of autotune, and Thom once said "You give the machine a key and then you just talk into it. It desperately tries to search for the music in your speech, and produces notes at random. If you've assigned it a key, you've got music."

I have an autotune plugin (GSnap for Audacity), does anyone know what key/specs I should set the vocals to in order to get the Pulk/Pull effect?
