Heyo!
I just want to start off and say I’m playing MapleStory on a HHKB which is a 60% keyboard. My current setup is really weird and it requires me to have wireless peripherals due to the distance between my computer and the monitor which I play at.
The HHKB works perfectly but I got tired of missing keys so I got a wireless numpad, this worked and it allowed me to move around. The issue was it would stutter and have connection issues. I returned it and opted to get the XPPen minidial shortcut keyboard in hopes to be able to use it for MapleStory and other tasks as well. I just got it and tried to set it up, it works for everything but MapleStory. The arrows keys just won’t let me move in game. I’m wondering if it’s the anti cheat blocking it thinking it’s a macro or something? But it’s a huge let down as this little device serves more purpose for me than a numpad.
I’m wondering if there is some kind of workaround possibly. Another idea I had was that it might be that the key functionality is determined by a driver software instead of being a firmware push to the device to act like native input. This might be why it’s being blocked by MapleStory.

Hoping someone can help me out here as I'm tearing my hair out - iOS Big Sur 11.5.2 and iOS 17.4.1 on iPhone 14Plus.
I downloaded AltServer and AltStore, then Delta, just fine and have been playing games for a week or so. As I got the "AltStore cannot be opened" and "Delta cannot be opened" error messages yesterday, I worked on the instructions found here - it didn't work and I decided to delete everything - the Delta app from my phone, AltStore from my phone, and AltServer from my MacBook, and attempt reinstallation.
My phone is plugged into my laptop, with all locks cleared (I noted the phone as a trusted device when I plugged it in, and I have all screen locks off). I've also restarted each device and started from the beginning, with no luck.
I downloaded AltServer from altstore.io and opened it just fine, menu bar, "install AltStore," chose my iPhone, successfully logged in with my Apple ID, got the message "Installing AltStore to (my iPhone), this may take a few seconds," then AltServer disappears from my menu bar with no corresponding app on my iPhone. It seems like it's crashing before the install is complete, but I can't verify if something else is happening here or if I'm correct - it's especially frustrating because this was doing great until the app expired.
Any advice would be welcome. Thanks so much!

I'm going to try to hold in all of the curse words and wishes I'm thinking in this version of the post to avoid anything. Now, I strongly, strongly despise any boss fight that makes its devastating, attempt-crushing special attacks very hard to avoid. Yes, some...probably found tips online because there's no other way you could possibly avoid Sephiroth's final cancerous special attack where he overwhelms you with his two jets, a bunch of whispers, and then a final attempt-crush-sealing octoslash that you basically can't avoid. It's broken, clearly artificial difficult design.
I don't need to hear anything else from any of you. I know you all cheated and found tips on how to avoid it (you need to do exactly this at exactly this time).
Basically, the fight is broken since Hellish Angel or whatever is basically going to empty your HP every time and then that final special attack to ensure you don't beat the boss (unless you do some secret combo code of attacks). Good job, Square Enix. You really hit it out of the park here, and it's evident with your clear, overwhelming success from this game

The other day I saw someone here who made a jump from King to Deity in a span of several YT tutorials. Maybe that method works for that guy compared to my tl:dw sort of mentality. But I can imagine they expect rapid calculations and foresight, something that leaves room to be desired for me.
And now here I am juggling between: I need more cities but settlers are too costly, and I could have used it for something else; I need to develop my city but I will lag behind in military, vice versa I build and army and my yields will be behind. This compounded with my tendency to autopilot and inability to properly micro my stuff.
Sure, the AI aren't that good in city development and warfare, but if you're next door to an aggressive or scientifically powerful civ, it's not much of a difference.
And yes, I can reroll and save scum as much as I want, because if the AI "cheats" why wouldn't I, but it feels very cheap and I just want to play with the cards I was dealt and make the most of every step, only sparingly fine tune a few things and restart when I see there's no winning the game at some point.
My only motivation to hop into Emperor is how easy my King games have been, and I am surrounded by those who make it look very easy; it almost as if these people are mocking my lack of skill.
Someone will say to just play to have fun if I think being battered in high difficulty is to much for me, but there's also no joy in lack of challenges. And I just want to jump this hill that is to consistently gain wins in Emperor, as any civ I want and at a reasonable pace.

I don’t understand how you are all getting hundreds of thousands of rolls with APM. I watched a tutorial posted 1 month ago explaining how to do it on my iPhone. Put on APM, roll until the app pops up with ‘no internet’ message. Record each number roll you have. Delete app, turn off APM, and redownload. Then adjust multipliers based on the rolls because they should theoretically be the same as before if they are predetermined.
The first 4 times it worked, but ever since then the rolls are proven to NOT be predetermined for me as they are completely different numbers than when I was on APM. It’s like within minutes the glitch stopped working entirely. So there is no way to benefit from this now.
It’s not fair that this glitch works for some people and not for others. Having an advantage in the game that others don’t have is cheating, and I wish they’d patch this up so I can actually compete in tournaments instead of going through 10k rolls for 5k points and still coming in 50th place while first place is 220k points. It’s just not fun anymore.

To keep the vanilla experience authentic there are no game changing plugins or commands.

It's been a hell of a week.
I've been holding this story to myself for my entire stonks adventure. I've written it up a few times and deleted before I posted it, but I had a few drinks last night and typed it up again, and the return of the hype has me introspective.
I lost my little brother to cancer in the late '90s. Leukemia, or to be more specific cascading organ failure due to the side effects of chemo.
I was a sophomore in college when he died. He was 18.
Growing up, I was a car guy, but he was a console gamer and an artist, a pokemon collector and anime fan. From the time I was in middle school and he was in 5th grade my parents would let us walk together to the mall about 2-1/2 miles away on the weekends or during school breaks. We were supposed to stick together, but we'd usually split up and hang out with our friends.
Our usual spot to meet up for the walk home was GameStop. It was his favorite place to go. I'm pretty sure there were a lot of times he just hung out there for a few hours browsing games and playing demos. The cashiers knew him by name.
After spending the afternoon at the mall we'd meet up at GameStop, grab a slice or two for dinner at Sbarro's in the food court, and walk home before it got TOO dark out. A lot of times we'd swing over to Blockbuster across from the mall if it was summer and we still had light. When my parents were having a hard time financially I'd use some of the money I got from mowing lawns and working at the gas station and tell him it was our allowance from mom. I'm not sure if he ever caught on.
"I'll meet you at GameStop at 6". I can't even imagine how many times I said that. He liked to talk with hands, so a lot of times I'd end up holding his games as well as my bag with a model car from Kay-Bee or some Testors model paint from the Hobby store, sometimes a Lambo poster or supermodel poster or techno-junk trinket from Hot Topic. He'd usually want to see what I got, and then he would ramble all the way home about some new game he was excited about, or tips he got on how to beat the most recent Nintendo game we had.
He was a little bit of a budding entrepreneur- he'd reserve every game they released and sell the ones he didn't want to his friends at school. He really loved drawing, especially anime, and we found out later he was also supplementing his income drawing titty pics for his friends for a few bucks. Good Lord, the fallout from that!
I was in college out of state when he got sick. The summer after my Freshman year. I ditched my summer internship before it started and came home to be a bone marrow donor. By the time fall semester rolled around it seemed like he was getting better. When I came home for Christmas break I got to take him to GameStop in the mall to spend his giftcards and the cash he got. He was in a mask (way before Covid) because his immune system wasn't working right but he wanted to go in person so bad that my parents gave the OK. It was the last place I went with him that wasn't the hospital. The last time I had a meaningful conversation with him was on the drive back from the mall. We talked about where he wanted to go to college, about how he felt about graduating high school next year, and about the girl he liked. We drove around aimlessly for a while talking before we finally headed home.
I went back to college a few days later. Worked a summer internship away from home that year and then started my Sophomore year. Just before Thanksgiving, he suddenly got very sick and went into a coma, which he never came out of. We never did get a satisfactory explanation for it, just "these things sometimes happen after chemo."
I stumbled across the DFV saga on the WaSaBi sub in the early days of the sneeze and it set off something in me. It was a perfect storm of emotions reading through the DD and stories- Not only were these Hedgie bastards going after my little bro's favorite hangout, there was also the same flavor of corruption that we all gagged on in the '08 housing crisis. All the soulless corporate raiding and underhanded crap, all the sleaze and outright cheating.
I bought in with all the cash I could afford to lose. I haven't sold. I used to have other hobbies but now I buy GME and shop at my local GameStop stores. I have found a few things I enjoy, and I have kids to shop for, so I plan to support as best I can for a long time to come.
Here's what I don't think the Hedgies got at first, maybe they still can't comprehend. For some of us Apes, maybe even a majority, it isn't really just about the money. I think for maybe a whole a lot of us, it's not about the money at all anymore, even if it started out that way.
And the Hedgies can't win because we are not playing the same game.
