Norman took one look at the towering building to his left. Then he took off.

The new hunting cry boomed through his body. It was much louder than the first building’s, albeit shorter, like a tap on the shoulder from a titan proclaiming its presence to the world.
Of course, the tap of a titan could flatten a man.
Norman fell. His legs had simply stopped working. Jaws clenched, he forced his will into wobbly muscles. His palms slammed into the waterlogged street, stopping the fall. With a sharp push, he sprang back to his feet and ran on.
Norman yanked out the remaining two flash grenades on the go, strung them together, armed and drew back for a throw.

That quick boom pounded through him. His fingers faltered. The flash grenades slipped from his grip and fell. He was still recovering from the sound when they went off at his feet. The nightsight filtered the flash, so he didn’t go blind. He’d gutted the flash grenade’s speakers, so he didn’t go deaf. The peeping building could deafen him all on its own … no, this wasn’t a peeping building. He’d slew a peeping building. They were small fries by comparison.
This was an eyescraper.
Tentacles the width of busses unsheathed from its sides. Even if he’d managed to launch the grenades and bathe it in smitelight, he suspected that wouldn’t be enough.
Norman sliced at its eyes with a focused beam. It barely flinched. Maybe if it got close enough, he could affect it a bit. By then, it would be too late.
Throbbing chuffs thundered from the monster. It sounded like a laugh.
Norman shot it a defiant glare. He bolted. Not fast enough. He could feel the giant closing in. So, he moved faster. Then faster, and still faster. His muscles blared their warnings. Rain lashed his face. He felt the air begin to resist his movements as he reached a speed at which it mattered. It was in his way, so he pushed through it too. No one was there to tell him he was moving far faster than any human known to history. All he cared about was hearing that thing fall behind him, and so it did. The tremours of its tremendous movements grew fainter.
At the end of the street, an apartment building came into view. Norman threw himself against it, climbing with the reckless abandon of a madman. He was halfway to the top.

Oh, right. There was a skyscraper running him down. To think he lived in a world where that made any sense. He rubbed his throbbing head. It was hard to think, though.

Brain fog would have to wait.
In two twos he jumped onto the side of the building and kept going up and up without breaking the momentum of the leap. Adrenaline had challenged gravity. Gravity lost. There was no pause to assess handholds. There was no rain stinging his face. In his mind, there was only ‘CLIMB, CLIMB, CLIMB!’ Crest the rooftop. ‘RUN, RUN, RUN!’ Descend the other side ‘JUMP!’ Gravity greedily reclaimed Norman, dragging him 4 storeys down at breakneck speed. He hit the ground in a parkour roll. Bruised a bone. Nearly fractured a shoulder. Wrenched his spine. Joints, muscle, ligaments almost popped. They didn’t.
He was running again.
Norman had never heard a building shred like paper. He’d never thought to wonder what it sounded like.
*( ( BMMM! ) ) ( ( BMM! ) ) ( ( BOOM! ) ) *

SHHHHHRRRRRRMMMM!

Now he knew.
Those booms … was it the eyescraper’s tentacles breaking the sound barrier, or punching holes through the apartment building? Maybe both. It didn’t matter. What mattered was that it was tearing the building in two with the ease of one parting curtains. Buildings were not designed to be parted. Two became legions as the sundered building collapsed.
Norman rushed for an abandoned truck, slid beneath the trailer. Not quite fast enough. Most of the rubble didn’t reach him directly, but upon hitting the ground? It pulverised into a blast of cloud like a sandstorm. Hissing beneath the trailer, the dust stung at his ankles. He ignored it, racing for the truck’s cabin at the front. Perched on the step beneath the door, he braced as the dust raced beneath, around and above him. The cabin was his shield. He flinched to a duck when its windows shattered as the dust cloud blasted straight through them. The truck rocked and slid slightly, bombarded by wind and dust. It lurched as a chunk of debris finally reached it, crumpling the trailer like cheap foil.
Time to move.
Particles prickled Norman’s eyes, finding their way through the nightsight. He took a fresh glimpse of the path ahead before clouds of grey engulfed it all.
Memorised.
He dashed on. A split second later, the cabin was levelled under a larger slab of concrete. More sporadically thundered down around him. His eyes were squeezed shut, denying entry to any more particles. He scrambled through the street, dodging obstacles from memory. As for the concrete rainfall that couldn’t be seen? He had some prayers about that, but it probably came out like half-baked gibberish.
Norman chanced opening his eyes. They watered like crazy. At least most of the dust was gone. Behind him, the eyescraper’s menacing silhouette was picking through the rubble. Finally, an unblocked street was in sight. He rounded the corner.

Another peeping building, rumbling in from the new street. Alright. Straight it was.

Maybe not. A third building emerged from the rainfall ahead. All streets blocked. He glanced about. All alleys still blocked. This really was a hunting net, but this much energy for a tiny human? Predators weren’t usually like this.
He ran for the nearest building that wasn’t occupied by eldritch calamari.

( ( BOOMM! ) )

The eyescraper’s tentacle crossed his path. Its supersonic shockwave sent him flying.

Norman came to. Rain poured against his face as he lay on his back. How long was he out? Why was it so cold? The atmosphere didn’t quite feel right. It didn’t look right either. Something about the colours, or subtle lack thereof. Everything seemed a bit desaturated. Norman sat up and coughed his lungs out, evicting a mix of dust and rain water collected in his slackly gaping mouth. Buildings towered above him on every side, a bit too close for comfort.

Oh, right, those weren’t just buildings.
Norman raised a finger, gesturing to wait. “Could you *kaff!* quit subwoofin’ at me for, like, ten seconds!”
“Plucky.̵͚͐͝ for all seasons I .̵̦̺͐̅see,” came a skin-crawling voice from behind him.
Norman swung back his smitelight. It barely moved half a foot, then it stopped. Rather, something stopped it. That ‘something’ was cold. So cold. His wrist felt the chill without even touching it.
Norman turned, slowly, so as not to trigger further attacks. He found himself looking up.
Eight feet tall. Dark grey skin. A grin that went a little too wide. Dagger teeth. An open-chested jacket, revealing sinewy muscles with luminous markings like tattoos. His ebony eyes bore penetrating white pupils. Of all his traits, the dreadlocks stood out most. They belonged in a nightmare, dancing through the air with a life of their own. Somehow, they looked blacker than black, absorbing every ray of light or heat that came their way. That icy chill in the air shifted with the movements of his dreadlocks. They seemed to drink life from the air itself. Norman almost found it hard to breathe. One dreadlock clutched Norman’s smitelight, only by the tip, but its grip was iron.
Norman stared the tall man down.
The nyctal’s grin grew by a smidgeon.
Taking a calculated risk, Norman released the smitelight. Perhaps a peace offering would do good.
“Good.̷̧͋͌̎̿ boy,” the tall man nodded, admiring the smitelight as the dreadlock rotated it. “Clever.̴̧̤̩͈͓̖͂ͅ toy.”
Norman noted an understated Jamaican accent in his voice.
More dreadlocks slithered across the smitelight, as if tasting its every nook and cranny.
Norman did his best to look casual as he scanned for an escape route. The eyescraper’s tentacles had wrapped around the street, fencing him in.

The nyctal’s eyes shifted to Norman inquisitively. He frowned, raising an eyebrow as the comments piled up. Finally, he smirked mischievously.
“Your fanbase has peculiar tastes,” purred the tall man.

The tall man handed Norman his smitelight.
Norman’s suspicious gaze flicked between the nyctal and the weapon. Finally, he reached out and took hold of the smitelight.
It crumbled in his fingers like ice-cold ashes. If not for the insulation gloves, he might have gotten frostbite.
The nyctal laughed.
Norman didn’t find it particularly amusing.
The tall man sauntered towards the eyescraper. Beyond it was a darkness even the nightsight had difficulty piercing. He beckoned Norman as if it were an afterthought.
“Please come in, .̵̭̻͌̓̂Norman.̶̲͕͇̅̑̚,” the nyctal instructed.
Norman stared stubbornly, hands in his pockets as he rocked on his heels. He felt for his smartphone. It wasn’t there. When had he lost it?
Without looking back, the nyctal held up Norman’s phone. It disintegrated between his fingers as he rubbed them together.
Norman glared. At least the guy hadn’t pickpocketed deeply enough to find other things.
“Hey. To whom do I owe the … pleasure?” Norman almost had to push the last word through his teeth.
The nyctal stopped in the eyescraper’s doorframe. Shrouded in shadow, little could be seen of him, save the piercing white pupils peering out. Then the glint of his Cheshire grin.
“.̴̜͓̭̻̤̍̈́̆͑͑John Crow.̸̻̮̓̈́̏̓͘,” he answered, before receding into the darkness.
The eyescraper’s tentacles dragged in across the street, corralling Norman towards the building. With an exasperated groan, he trudged towards the main entrance.
“I want my bed,” grumbled Norman.

So, I know we release estrogen when we lose fat, because fat cells store estrogen.
Endometriosis is also known to progress faster the more estrogen is available.
In another subreddit someone seemed to assume that by releasing fat + estrogen, that estrogen was then freed up for the endo to ‘feed on’. That’s incorrect right? Surely by releasing estrogen it’s no longer in the body?
I’m terrible at biology but would appreciate a doctor’s opinion!

Went to the ER last week due to a pretty bad viral infection that wasn’t getting better. Went into the ER, waited about 6 hours. When I finally was seen the doctor had the nurse test my blood. Turned out my levels were slightly abnormal. They gave me an IV to bring them back to normal. They tested again and since the lab showed my levels were trending down I was released.
A few days later I get a bill for $1756.63. I do have insurance which pays for 80% of ER visits before my deductible. Fine, no problem. Thing is, after the lab work (which amounted to approx $6600 billed to insurance) they charged an ‘emergency services’ fee of $11,146.40 (also to insurance). From what I can tell that’s the charge for walking in the door.
I didn’t have any scans done and only spoke to one doctor, who, by the way, billed separately from this amount. Also, when I asked for an itemized bill the ‘emergency services’ explanation says ‘HB ED Facility Level 4 W/Proc’.
I get that hospital bills are insane but this one seems particularly egregious. Insurance rep told me I’m lucky I have insurance. I feel like this is their way of making me pay a lot and while making me feel like I should be grateful.
Any chance I have any recourse here? Also, thanks, I’m feeling better (physically). End of rant.

Hello everyone, I've been wanting to make this post for a while and now here we are ! This is a long post but ENJOY !!!
Another Eden is now 7 years old which means many stories, characters and an entire world...or rather time periods/timelines that currently exists. So here's the question, what's your Another Eden Hall of Fame ? Both Meta and Non Meta related.
Note: Remember that what I'm about to write is based SOLELY ON MY OPINION but I'm interested to see what my fellow Residents of Time's Forgotten Keep think ! Without further ado, let's start:

1. Best Story Protagonist (Excluding Aldo): Nona
   Another Eden is composed of many stories and they are NOT always centered around Aldo which is the game's protagonist, few examples of that being Deirdre in the Knights Episodes/Nona in Apocrypha and Wryz from the recent Wryz Saga. My pick is Nona because she has BY FAR the best character development and to me she took the spotlight in the entire Apocrypha. In fact I'd argue that if Another Eden had the "Choose your Protagonist" Aldo would be the Male Protagonist and Nona would be the Female one because she's litterally the Protogonist of Apocrypha and it can be regarded as a "Game within a game" so yea that says alot.
   
2. Best Side Story: Western Mythos (Song of Sword and Wings of Lost Paradise)
   The Western Mythos is the best story in my opinion (And actually alot of players do agree with me on that). The Zerberiya continent, the world, the cast of characters and the story is phenomenal from it's 1st chapter to the finale. I know that people will tell me Future Mythos is also great but it doesn't have THAT impact on me as much as the Western Mythos did.
   

Which is why (Rant Warning!) WFS ! WHERE'S MY WESTERN EXPANSTION !!! WHY DID YOU FORGOT THAT ZERBERIYA EXISTS ?? WE NEED MORE OF PEAK !! That is hurting me alot !! The only story which is a close second is Apocrypha but Western Mythos is the far better one and I'm thankful for Another Eden for creating that. I do hope that the Highly Rumored Eastern Mythos would be just as good because speaking of...

1. Best Main Story: Main Story Part 2 (Tales of the East)
   There are currently four Main Stories: Main Story Part 1;Main Story Part 1.5 (Ogre Wars) ;Main Story Part 2 (Tales of the East) and the currently Main Story Part 3 (Into the Hollow).
   In my mind while having played all of those stories, I still find myself being drawn and attached to the Eastern Continent ! Because I truly love the setting ! WFS clearly nailed it and even so when you consider the amount of "Eastern" Personality characters that are in the game which is the highest in the game at 30 characters (Not counting AS/ES). Heck I'm currently replaying the Main Story Part 2 because I enjoyed it even better than the current Part 3 which from a pure gameplay sure it's better but in terms of Story/Characters and OST then to me nothing beats the Garulea Continent (Present/Past/Future and Underworld) !
   

Alot of people in the sub love Eastern characters, most notably u/NoWaifuN0Laifu who like Hozuki, an Eastern sensual Fox Lady so yea there's that.
This is in part why I'm extremely hyped for Eastern Mythos and I can't wait for it ! And Yukino Alter (One of the main things keeping me attached to Another Eden)

1. Best Character Quest: Melissa
   Melissa is by far the best Character Quest and ask any veteran player and he'll tell you that. It's also the darkest and the saddest one in the entire game and it's special in the fact that Aldo IS NOT PRESENT in it at all ! Imagine THAT ! I won't say more because of spoilers but if you don't have Melissa you can just search on Youtube as her CQ is there and you can watch it ! If you have her but have not played her quest...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING for ? DO IT !
   
2. Best Character: Yukino
   This is subjective and my AE subreddit flair checks out, I love Yukino so much since her introduction, apart from me having a thing for women/girls with Ice powers, her story and how she was created (Also she's Eastern as well so another point !) also her relationship to Tsukiha so no need to say more!
   
3. Best Antagonist/Villain: Guildna (Main Story Part 1)
   The reason why to me Guildna is the best villain is NOT what you think it is ! Another Eden is a game centered around stories Beyond Time and Space there I said it but while there are really good villainy characters like for instance the Empress/Emperor of the Land of Mi and Shin (Again Eastern !) Garneli and Genshin but Guildna is special because he made me appreciate Main Story Part 1 alot more then the other characters, it tells you what happened if Guildna makes some impactful decisions in the storyline. Besides without Guildna there's no Aldo and therefore no Another Eden !
   
4. Best Cat Companion: Kuchiba
   I love the Siamese Cat Breed and Kuchiba IS the only one in the game in whom I didn't change ever since I found her years ago in Vermillion Road (Another Eastern Reference, see what I told you)
   
5. Best NPC: Some Guy
   He's Scott literally everywhere in the game. From the past to the future, from Zerberiya to Garulea, heck even in the Hollow you'll find him ! There's no way I make a list without appreciating "Some Guy" and his deeds to the game.
   
6. Best Frog: Cyrus (He's Eastern aswell ! I tell you this is why the Eastern Setting is THE BEST !!)
   
7. Best Main Cast Character: Guildna
   
8. Best Mascot: Varuo
   If Moke wasn't released as a playable Sidekick he would have been my pick but now I have to choose the 2nd best IMO and that's Varuo. The Iconic Cat mascot in the game.
   
9. Best Boss: Caroline and Justine (From Persona 5 Royal part 2 Collab)
   This boss used to be the hardest boss in the game for a long time and for good reason as it has alot of HP stoppers and has TONS of HP, while the boss has been powercrept and now easy with the recent units...back than it was a pain, another close second would be the Toova AS Manifest Battle which used to be the hardest Manifest fight in the entire game because of Toova AS insane fixed DMG and RNG involved.
   
10. Best OST: エルの唄～メリナ Song of Sword and Wings of Lost Paradise ED ~ The Stifling Song Melina Edition
    The best theme for the best story in the game, everytime I hear the OST I unconsciously start humming and even start tearing up because it's JUST THAT GOOD and after playing the Western Mythos and knowing what the lyrics means...man it hits hard ! A close second is Apex Logic and Cardinal Scales ED ~ Immaculate Full Version but let's be real ! The game is full of the best OST in a game ever !
    
11. Best Battle OST: Apex Logic and Cardinal Scales ~ Last Notes of the Battle Song Alter Dewey Boss Theme.
    This one is hard to choose as the game is packed full of Bangers in the Battle Theme departement but this one personally gets me all hyped...besides even you didn't reach that part of the game it still hypes you up ! A close second is First Knight and The Holy Sword ~ Dear My Dearest -Prayer of the Holy War- as I loved the Knights Episode Story so much and love the plot twist which leaves to this battle.

Now let's go to the Meta:

1. Best Free Character: Nona AS
   Seriously she's by far the most flexible free character in the game, yea sure it takes a bit to get her but she can give 1/3 of her stats to anyone and she can mold her kit into the unit she's devoted to including zone setting/element and attack type change etc... She's even more good when used with Aldo (And it's canon aswell as she's devoted to Aldo and loves him so much which he also does (Not in a friend way btw)) and we know SA Aldo is OP especially at 255 Light so yea !
   
2. Best Zone Setter: Iphi
   To qualify for The Best, a unit doesn't just has to set a zone but it needs to have OP effects with the zone setting skill/VC and to me no one who's better at that than Iphi, her zone setting skill Walpurgisnacht is seriously broken: First of all the skill is Pre-emptive; you get the best elemental zone (Shade zone); you get Blood Contract which gives you survivability and Lunatic Risktaker; you get 5T Magic Focus and if you recast it, you get Kaleido switch to Shade element for 1T for all units...ALL OF THOSE in a single skill and moreso when you realise that these are all skills you usually see in Stellar Awakening Locked-Behind recent units in a unit released a year ago
   
3. Best Damage Dealer (DPS): Xianhua
   Before Xianhua got released and broke the DPS meta, Yakumo and Sesta used to dominate that market but now Xianhua is the best end of question ! The reason being that her DPS potential is not locked behind her SA skill as most recent units does.
   
4. Best True Tank: Radias AS
   Some people might argue that Radias AS is being powercrept but to me a Tank is more than just high HP/DEF/DMG Mitigation via Shield or Debuffs but to me a Tank in AE needs to have Guard and Rage and to me Radias AS is still the best one even if she's now almost 2 years old. While Alma AS is alot more recent and has all of those she's more of a Secondary DPS/Support than a tank and her Guard is conditional; Soira AS doesn't have Guard;Anabel ES doesn't have Guard nor Rage and Prai is constrained by Stun after Guard
   
5. Best Support: Myunfa Alter
   I tried alot of units but to me no one can do support/sustain in the entire game than Myunfa Alter, seriously her kit is a dream to every one, she has everything you can think of, YEP EVERY.SINGLE.SUPPORT.EFFECT in her kit. If you have the fourth slot (80 light) she's even better, she support the entire party but more so the unit on her right:
   

* She can heal HP and MP and reduce MP consumption.
* She can tank (Tho not with Guard but with DMG mitigation such as -50% DMG taken, a 2000 Max HP Shield and insane debuffs + Buff END/SPR).
* She can set Earh/Magic Zone (3 Staff users+) and can awaken any zone.
* She can give Magic and Singular Focus.
* She can give Weapon Type DMG and Weakness Multiplier.
* She can give Status and Knockback Immunity.
* She set 3T pain/poison ignore res.
Yes everything I said above is in her kit, what's more is that she can do most of these preemptively and do you know what's more insane ! She's not bound by the Stellar Awakening System !

1. Best Healer: Anabel ES
   She can heal 50% HP/15% MP but unlike Radias AS which can also do it in a counter, if you put her in Guiding Light she gets +50% DMG and Healing meaning she can potentially heals 100% HP ! Something only seen in EX Attacks in ES characters and that one requires complex setting.
   
2. Best Pain/Poison Setter and DoT (Damage over Time) user: Pom AS
   A Best Pain/Poison setter doesn't just have to set p/p ignore res as most units can do that but can use p/p as DoT (Damage over Time) and no one can do it better then Pom. Heck 4⭐ Pom has been known for her gimmick of giving p/p if you have the appropriate equipment and there's Grasta Ores that gives +50% DMG if user is inflicted with Pain/Poison so yea.
   
3. Best AF user: Miyu ES
   To qualify for this the unit has to benefit more from using AF (Another Force) either by doing more DPS in AF or get easy AF Combo Multiplier, it's been known that Thunder units are the ones who can use AF efficiently and while the current Meta revolves around DMG outside AF, some units only shines in AF and Miyu ES is just that, a close second would be Victor AS but he can be tricky to use as you need the AF Combo to 1000% for him to deal 7300% DMG Multiplier but in a Thunder Team with high SPD it's possible.
   
4. Best Singer: Milsha AS
   While Singing has been powercrept by Praying, I still use Singing units from time to time and Milsha AS is by far the best from the best, seriously her 2 songs can give different Lunatic to the entire party depending on the Song being user (Sacrifice and Risktaker) and this effect can co-exist with other lunatic.
   
5. Best Praying unit: Toova ES
   This one is hard as most Praying units are OP ! However for me Toova ES takes the crown by a slight margin, just set her pray and forget about her and if you have a unit which can Cover (Iphi is most used with her) then you don't have to worry about her taking DMG and breaking Prayer.

Phew This essay took me 3 hours to write but that's how much I love Another Eden even tho the game's questionable direction does leave alot to be desired, I hope you enjoyed reading and I want to see everyone's opinion

As I have sifted through this new tarkov mystery quest line im seeing so many connections to bsg videos and past events from years ago.
Is there a discord out there of a group of people piecing together this story and decrypting all the tarkov event stuff?
Some key points to this event is continuing the story of Ryhys.

1. ryhys father was taken by usec(shown in first chronicles of ryhys) and used by TerraGroup as a lab rat to be expirmented on to test a drug that "turns a person into a docile sheep" (refrenced from bsgs "Message" video 5 months ago).
2. Ryhys broke into labs and stole the very information that shows terragroup was doing experiments, (ryhys chapter 2)
3. sanitar left terragroup and his time at resort he made the obdoblos injector and is in search of the documents ryhys took (ryhys chapter 2)
4. ryhys is trying to contact Mr. Kerman (all of ryhys videos) and Jeager, Mechanic, Ragman, are all trying to help him get safe/get into contact with mr. Kerman.
5. Reshala, kaban, sanitar, glukhar, klollontay as well as a guy with a black hat and red plaid shirt(no refrence thus far on identity) wanting to kill ryhys during kollantays bday party. (also in one of ryhys chronicles) side note tagilla and killa were in the arena trying to kill anyone that was left so i suspect part of the boss group.
6. Fence is trying to find this information as well during the during the "terragroup trail" video from bsg, fence and his people are also incontrol of the majority of tarkov's boarders, aka with sniper scavs(mentioned in the bsg video "Fence" and asks the pmc to join his cause rather then terragroups.
7. during this new tarkov mystery quest line skier wants u to spy on the terragroup area on ground zero to find more information on the other hand the untar conterpart peacekeeper wants to kill any pmcs trying to place cameras. and as we all know untar is not wanted in all of tarkov.
8. during fences talk with us during the "terragroup trail" he refrences lightkeeper and Zzryachiy knowing about the documents and bomb, whats odd is the digital secure DSP radio transmitter wiki shows u cant access the lighthouse keeper in pve mode.....but then the unheard edition that has cultist stuff all over it released the mark of the unheard thats linked to fence and scav passiveness...maybe u need this item now to get to the lighthouse keeper.

theres more i just havnt been able to organize all this better and thought id ask reddit if theres a discord or community looking deeper into this. in the last 3 years or more bsg has been revealing more and more of this story and i find it interesting.

I had the idea of saying someone passed away in my family, but then I got nervous I’d be asked for proof of death certificate or something so then I thought I could say I’m seeing a specialist in a different state(I often have to leave work or ask off because of my stomach issues, they’ve always been very gracious) but they might ask for doctor note. but I also don’t know how many days it covers? It’s about 36 hours built up. I’m not sure if I even have to have an excuse to use my sick time? I also am going to quit a little after that since I’ll be moving soon. What would the best course of action be?

I feel like I'm losing my mind. My 6 yo daughter has had headaches for the past 2 months and we noted increased water consumption. She had strep a month ago which went away on antibiotics (and the headaches got better for a few days). We brought her to the doctor with the headache complaint recently and they ordered bloodwork. A few days later she was at the doctor again for vaginal irritation. The doctor noted a red throat, swabbed it and came back positive for strep. The bloodwork came back and all looked OK except the following-
Lyme VISE Igg/Igm ab came back as equivocial 0.94.
Lyme igg ab came back as negative 0.098
Lyme igm ab came back as positive 1.75. (Chemiluminescent Immunoassay)
In googling it The Lyme IGM is typically ignored if positive and if symptoms have gone on for more than 30 days.
Also, the Lyme IGM is notorious for false positives (abt 80%) if there is another infection (strep?).
I want to proceed to get the Western Blot test done to confirm lyme diagnpsis (per CDC guidelines). Doctor says it isn't necessary since the IGM is so high, it's definately lyme.
We are going in an infectious disease specialist in Thursday and she's been on Ceddinir since the strep diagnosis. I would just appreciate some insight from another doctor in the meantime.
She has no body aches in the past 30 days, no bullseye marks noted, only the headaches, increased water consumption and strep. Thank you .

This post is to keep the international community updated on what is currently going on at The International School of Dakar (Senegal). Since this website seems to be the best vehicle to share information to educators around the world I'm choosing to write on here for the first time.
PLEASE BE AWARE (Especially if you are coming to work at this school next academic year) that the current director is being pushed by the community (parents, students and staff) to step down! The community is dissatisfied with his leadership and the board of trustees' complicity in enabling his poor decision making. This director is not focused on upholding high quality education and building a stronger community/identity, but rather on the appearance of the school for accreditation and online (hired an overseas marketing/strategy leader for the next school year when this was not a pressing need for the school based on location and demographics). The (almost) entirely new administration working alongside him have also been blindlessly following his directions without speaking up due to fear. The board of trustees are subservient to him and protect him rather than hold him accountable. Teachers are refusing to nominate themselves to be faculty representative next year as he has instilled fear in staff to not speak up for the wider community's needs. It would be no surprise if a new teacher next year would have to take on that role (the same way practically all new incoming teachers are given the new team leadecoordinating positions next year due to most long-tenure teachers being gone). He has consistently refused to answer questions from staff AND parents during meetings about the culture of silence and the lack of transparency from him and the board of trustees. Often adopting an aggressive and angry demeanor when asked reasonable questions, his behaviour has many people of the community worried...
This year's parental satisfaction survey results are mediocre with a very small percentage of ISD parents who would recommend this school to a colleague or a friend... The data for student and staff satisfaction surveys has yet to be released to the community. The school has over 30 employees leaving next year due to so many people choosing to not renew their contracts. Although the administration tries to excuse this by saying that it is "the nature of international schools for teachers to come and go", please know that teachers are leaving because of the toxicity of the environment and the lack of competence from this new administration. Staff dread school-wide meetings and avoid all celebrations off campus due to not wanting to be around the administration.
Parents have complained this year about the school's environment being a facade... Smart enough to look ahead, teachers are leaving for their mental/physical wellbeing and to avoid the avalanche coming soon...
*Lastly, it is important to note that this director has a history of short serving in international schools as he was also pushed out of his previous school (after only 2 years) due to inequitable and poor treatment of school staff. Under his leadership, the quality of education at ISD will decrease and students will pay the biggest consequences. It's a true mystery how such a wonderful school could have landed in his care...*

I quit alcohol after I started having terrible issues with sleep and anxiety. At first I had terrible insomnia and was afraid to fall asleep. I had this terrible dry eye issue. After a couple months I got over that and the insomnia. The biggest issue is that some days I wake up as if I haven’t gotten any sleep even if I slept between 8-10 hours. This feeling causes me to not be able to function and causes terrible anxiety. I will randomly feel these effects control me. Some days I wake up feeling rested and can get things done. Even on those days I can be hit with this overwhelming fatigue feeling that makes me wanna lay down otherwise I feel like I’ll faint. Other days I feel so tired and sleepy I can’t do anything but lay in bed. I have no idea what to do at this point because I want to work and need to make money but it’s almost impossible when you don’t know if you’re gonna wake up feeling like complete shit or not. I have a pituitary tumor but my doctor says it’s unlikely that it’s the cause of these issues. I’m on month 10 now of being sober and I feel a lot better than I did at the beginning. I ended up having 3 sleep studies, one of them showed mild sleep apnea while the others didn’t. Mild sleep apnea doesn’t qualify you for a cpap. So I’ve been using nose strips. At this point my doctors aren’t sure what’s wrong with me and chalked it up to CFS(chronic fatigue syndrome). I don’t think it’s that but I honestly don’t know at this point because I don’t think it’s anxiety or depression, these symptoms feel way too awful and physical to be that. I’m wondering if anyone else has had these issues? I’ve heard of PAWS but from what I understand it goes away after a while. Bloodwork on everything is fine as well.

Side note: I had been drinking for almost 4 years sometimes on and off but most the time 2-3 times a week, pretty heavily.

Like most people I was very excited to read that Trupanion has announced they will cover FIP treatment!
Like all recent news released about FIP, it’s not black or white, it’s just gray. Trupanion's FIP coverage is a step in the right direction. I'm waiting for top-ranked providers to offer more comprehensive coverage options. While Trupanion's efforts are appreciated, their coverage falls short for me.
Here's a summary of the information they have given me.

• There are no exceptions to the waiting periods on the policy, but they may be waived if enrolled within 24 hours of bringing the pet home from a participating breeder or shelter, or if enrolled 24 hours after a vet visit.
  
• If a pet is diagnosed with an illness like FIP during the waiting period, it will be considered pre-existing and ineligible for coverage.
  
• There are no limitations on relapses or re-infections. However coverage will be dependent upon your vet notes.
  
• An official diagnosis is not required for coverage; Trupanion will cover testing and treatment costs even if the underlying issue is suspected but not confirmed.
  
• Pre-existing conditions are defined as anything listed on the pet's medical history prior to enrollment, and may include curable or incurable conditions.
  

-Trupanion bases coverage decisions on medical history and vet exam notes, and cannot guarantee coverage over phone or email.
Example from Trupanion via email : If the kitten had a broken leg prior to the policy, it would be noted on their file. But we would not necessarily deny any future claims for another broken leg as a "pre existing condition". Should the kitten develop arthritis in that leg down the road and the vet state in their notes it's likely medically related to broken leg as a kitten, it would be denied.

In the last year, I've had a cholecystectomy, tonsillectomy and carpal tunnel release on my right hand.
CRP always between 20 and 30 mg/L(normal is <5mg/L).
Suspected Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (most likely classical like or hypermobile).
I bruise very easily.
(BsN student).
I went in January 2024 for a routine blood draw that I get done yearly, everything was okay besides low vit D, folic acid and iron(44 microgram/dL -normal 50-170microgram/dL). My doctor prescribed me iron 80mg daily for 30 days which I did take .
I went to the doctor early April (not my GP but her colleague) for orthostatic low blood pressure and persistent dizziness and he said to try and drink electrolyte drinks, increase salt intake etc to get my blood pressure up. If it persisted, I should get blood drawn to be sure there's nothing underlying. That happened this week and my iron came back as 35 micrograms/dL.
It has never been this low in the past 10 years(just checked every single blood test I've had done, lowest it has been was 44 like 7 years ago)
What could be going on?

Prior to the Weekend 1 update, the entirety of FNF (assets and code) was licensed under the Apache 2.0 permissive license. The general gist of the Apache license is "you can use our stuff but you gotta give proper credit" (it's obviously a bit more complex than that). This permissive license allowed the modding scene to explode since mod makers were given permission to create any derivative works they wanted using the FNF assets.
However, this has also led to bad actors creating for-profit bootlegs that still could technically comply with the license, with the biggest offenders seeming to be unofficial Roblox games. As a result, the FNF team has stated that that the license for FNF would be changed going forward to prevent this.
With the release of Weekend 1 update, this change has been put into place. The FNF source has basically been split into separate repositories. The code for the game engine itself remains unchanged under the Apache 2.0 license. But assets/art have been placed into separate repositories with their own license, or rather with no license. All of the game's assets (art, music, sound effects, even the charting for some reason) are proprietary, with copyright and trademark enforcement specifically stated.
With this new licensing, mod creators cannot include any of the base game assets without committing copyright/trademark violations. This includes BF/GF/Pico/etc character sprites, the vanilla FNF noteskin, any vanilla FNF stage background, the FNF alphabet sprites, etc.
Furthermore, copyright enforcement also means you cannot be compliant if you include any derivative works based on the game assets. Or in other words, you cannot create/distribute anything based on a preexisting FNF asset without it being illegal. For example, including any vanilla FNF character in your mod whatsoever would violate the license. Even if you draw entirely new sprites of BF, the new sprites would be considered derivative works of the original BF (and no, creating B-side/C-side/D-side/Æ-side versions of BF doesn't bypass this) and thus would be a license violation. You also risk violations by including remixes of vanilla FNF songs in your mod for the same reason. Even if you made an original song, you could still be violating the license if you include BF's voice.
What this means is that going forward, mod creators cannot have their mods be compliant with the FNF license while including any assets taken from or based on what already exists in FNF. Everything in the mod would need to be 100% original to be compliant. Original music, original characters, original backgrounds, original UI, etc.
On a side note, this also means that any FNF video content online (such as on YouTube or Twitch) henceforth also risks copyright/trademark violations. This includes streams, reaction videos, gameplay videos, remixes, and fan animations. These types of videos would all be copyright/trademark violations due to distributing FNF intellectual property without permission.
Interestingly, it seems that the original plan was to have the assets use a modified version of the Apache 2.0 license, one that would only permit non-commercial use. This would've made it legal (i.e. compliant with the license) to make stuff like mods. But that seems to have been dropped at some point.
Realistically, the FNF team most likely won't persecute mods and fan videos even though they're technically illegal (they'll probably go after for-profit stuff though). I don't think they've changed their personal stance on mods (which is that they like mods), only their legal stance. But this does mean that for example, you can't put your FNF work in your portfolio since they're technically unauthorized works now. Also, since most types of mods are not legally allowed, this probably also means that the FNF team won't be setting up an official mod portal/site for FNF. So we're gonna keep using GameBanana, I guess.
That being said, this creates a grey area for stuff like putting ads on FNF gameplay videos or taking comissions to make FNF songs/sprites. I am unsure what the FNF team's stance is on something like this, whether they would choose to take legal action against this kind of behavior or not. To be on the safe side, I would suggest not putting ads on any videos involving FNF, and not taking/paying comissions for FNF mod assets (unless the assets created comply with the FNF licenses, i.e. are 100% original).
