I acquired 2 acres in 1999(with deed) with a survey done in 2000. Both of these have been filed with the county clerk and can be found on the county's online official records search.
Last month I was messing around with an online tool to compare land areas on google maps and discovered a Farm to market(FM) road was built on my land in 2016. About 1/4th of the land is "lost" to the FM.
Based on my research(county's online official records search), my neighbors sold a portion of their land to Texas Department of Transportation(TxDOT) for the FM. The county sold 7 acres to TxDOT, 0.5 of which is my land. So it seems like the county believes they own my land.
So far I've met with 2 lawyers. The first lawyer put me in contact with a surveyor, he plotted the coordinates from the 2000 survey and it maps on with what the county sold(just an online plotting tool, no new official survey done yet). The lawyer has grown too busy to take my case. The lawyer he recommended didn't seem interested in the case and was quick to send me off to ask the county clerk for a check in my name(they didn't have one).
I've contacted TxDOT about my case and I'm currently waiting for a respond. I'm here to ask if there's any case precedence on what I should expect. I couldn't find this happening to anyone else online. Should I expect to receive 2016 value for my land? Since the FM was built new business have moved in very nearby, so can I get todays land value?
Taxes have been paid every year. No letter was ever sent to buy the land.

Is there any way to buy fighter coins in increments larger than 250 coins? I want to buy a bunch of stuff and can't have a thousand purchases on my card in $5 increments.

The title pretty much sums it up, but I have a few complications and I think this subreddit is perfect to help me.
So, I have a big group of friends, but they all live in other states. Every year when we gather, we play lots of it. At home, I basically just have my fiancee and he's not that big on board or card games. Also, the ones I have are usually for 3+ players.
My favorite categories so far are: mystery, puzzles, riddles... But I'm also open to new things!
My favorites to play in group so far are: Azul, Dixit, Arkham, cards against humanity...
Would there be anything for fellow such as myself?
Oh, and printables sound interesting. I've searched for murder mysteries to play by myself like I'm a detective and haven't found anything yet.

My boss adopted this guy many years ago when he was in high school. Rush forward to present day, he’s a couple years younger than me.
My boss/owner of the business is a multi-millionaire. When his adoptive son gets arrested for things say—DUI or transaction card fraud or theft — he’s never made it past a holding cell. He even paid a lawyer to get him an out of state drivers license because I guess money can’t buy a suspended drivers license back.
But even this last felony he got - transaction card fraud which in Georgia I think comes with a minimum jail sentence — how does money buy charges to go away without it being illegal? I’ve looked at his past charges online. He never makes a plea and the dockets just go cold, with judges and prosecutors being unassigned from the cases.
I’ve never broken the law but I’d really like to hear more about how people pay for their freedom? It’s inspired me to pursue law school but I really want to understand if this is corruption or if law school is the way to tackle this kind of corruption?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post, I appreciate your opinions. Things have been going well dating my gf of 4 months. We took things slow to really get to know each other before making things official. Since things were progressing well, we discussed our families and relatives and how we wanted to introduce each other to our families. During this discussion, I learnt my gf’s stepfather has a criminal history. I would be lying if I said it did not create feelings of doubt and unease within me to continue to relationship.
My gf’s stepfather came into their life when they were 18 when the stepfather married her mother. My gf moved out when they were 22. The stepfather served 10 years in prison starting at age 19 for choking his drug dealer to death after an argument while high. My gf said because their stepfather was pretty with blond hair and blue eyes, to survive in prison he joined the skinheads white supremist group and got a racist tattoo. My gf said the stepfather is a changed man with regret for his past. The stepfather got his degree in prison, reflected on his past, and swore to never repeat his mistakes. When he got out, he had a daughter to whom my gf says he has been the best dad to. He worked hard and built a business for himself. Despite that, his daughter cut contact with him after age 18. It devastated him and forced him to look inwards and become a better man. My gf says because of this, the stepfather considers her his child and really dots on her and their mother.
My gf said they initially hated the stepfather because of his past and warned her mother against dating him. Over time, she saw how well the stepfather treated her mother and began to accept him into their lives. She says the step father is one of the kindest men they have ever met. Extremely conflict adverse to the point the mother wears the pants. My gf says if I give him a chance, I will come to like him too like she does. idk
I feel unease with the fact. I asked her why their stepfather never removed the tattoo after coming out of prison, she said the tattoo was a part of his life in prison, a reminder of the mistakes he has made. I asked if he still does drugs and she said he has been sober for years. I try to be understanding but something is eating away in my mind.
My internal conflict is two factors
1) I am a person of color and I do not think my family will accept me dating someone with immediate family who was racist and a past murderer even if he is a changed man
2) my gf has been great so far, and this man’s history is independent from her. She wasn’t even raised by him, so I feel its unfair to see my gf in a negative light for something they did not do. However, I think this is a major consideration for a future relationship even if she is at no fault
I do not know what to do or even how to approach the situation. My gf has never done anything to break my trust or make me see her in a negative light and this situation is so far out of their control I cannot blame them. However, I am unease with things going forward given my family is not white and a little part of me fear for my own and their safety
I’d really appreciate your opinions on how to move forward with integrity, dignity and respect for myself and gf. What would you guys do? How would you approach this situation? Am I overreacting?

I have two..... I want them to flesh out Gabriel in a way not seen since PSH in MI3. It'd be nice to get a villain that's intimidating. Gabriel in Dead Reckoning was horrible. Completely flat and every monologue from him felt pointless. The second flaw I want fixed is Grace. She annoyed me in DR. Not the performance but the writing. At no point was she anything but an absolute liability and downright threat to Ethan and yet the film demands you buy into their "connection". It was forced and not allowed to flow organically. Personally I'd like to see one MI where Ethan isn't dealing with a potential love interest. The stakes should be so high that it's just him one continuous stretch throughout the film. That last bit is a rant. Grace is less important of a needed fix to Gabriel. Right now Gabriel isn't interesting in the slightest. That bullshit "he's from Ethan's past" did nothing to make him appealing.

I’ve seen a lot of videos lately of phone scammers asking people for Google Play, Best Buy and other gift cards. I get Bitcoin, wire transfers and checks to shell companies but I don’t get the gift cards. Do they have a way to receive the money?

I am genuinely worried about Upwork. After I buy the connects and get myself a project, I'll need to contact support for verification at a particular time because I'm in Australia.
I can't create a ticket at any cost, meanwhile, my friend can do it easily. He's also already verified his account and has never purchased anything.

I've read a lot of articles and posts on how to get rid of springtails, but I'm at a total loss.
After a move from a very humid environment where I had a total springtail infestation (every wall, bed, bathroom, etc) I am in a more dry climate. While I was unpacking though, a few springtails found their way with me! This was after I had left all my luggage in the heat for at least 2 days to kill anything off that may have traveled with me. I was shocked and upset.
I live in an apartment. My landlord said pest control came by and sprayed. But I've been seeing more and more springtail activity at night. I'll admit there is extremely poor ventilation in the bathroom, so moisture pools up. That's where I am seeing the springtails.
I can't sleep. I can't focus on work. I don't know what to do. These things are ruining my life. I'm considering only showering at my local gym for a few weeks to reduce the moisture. I've placed out glue traps, I'm cleaning heavily with a bleach spray, I've got moisture absorbers. I'm hoping to buy a small dehumidifier. I wonder if leaving everything out in the heat again would help at all? Maybe if I left it out for longer? I'm not sure how to identify the nest. The newer springtails are much smaller which tells me a nest has formed and there is new growth. I just don't know what to do.

Hey yall so for context I got married a couple years back and moved states to my husbands hometown. It was extremely difficult moving at such a young age and not knowing anyone here and i really struggled in many aspects of my life the first year or two. This isn’t capturing the severity of it but I was rlly depressed lol. Not to mention we briefly lived with his parents (abt 8months) before literally escaping (and yes I use the word escape) and moving out. I am no contact with my husbands immediate family except occasionally seeing them at holidays and bigger family events and life is better and less stressful that way for all of us. I can get into the reasons why but I promise you it’s completely valid and it’s either no contact or I called the police and cps so I’ll leave it at that. That being said, I am extremely close to my husbands extended family. Especially his three cousins. Their mom is like a second mother to me and we live down the street from each other because of how close we all are. Or so I thought. One of his cousins (all my age or younger) decided to completely cut me off. And It was immediately noticeable because we all usually hang out regularly. Every weekend if not multiple times a week. We grab food sometimes or go out to the mall or school events or we just hang out at their house talking till late at night and having so much fun. I genuinely love these girls and felt like I finally had close friends for the first time in my life. We talk about our innermost thoughts, vent to each other, and just behave as a usual girl group of friends do and I absolutely loved it. They’re pretty much the only friends I have here despite having moved over three years ago and I never felt like I needed to find others because my new relatives provided me with such a great friendship. One of the girls (I’d say I was actually closest to her) decided to cut me off. And I noticed right away because no texts came weeks after she decided to stay silent at my bday dinner. The entire. Evening. . When I’d drop by the house like I always do she’d never come out her room. I heard her mom at one point yelling at her to come greet me at least and she refused. I ignored it but it really started to hurt me. Especially when their parents started asking why I haven’t been around like we usually hang out. I asked the other siblings and they brushed it off saying how weird we were being and we should just talk if something is bothering us or whatever. But I noticed they stopped reaching out as well. A few days ago it was her graduation ceremony. And despite us making plans for over a year about the bouquet she wanted me to make, decorating her huge grad party, all these things, I was not invited or even made aware of the event until they posted it. That was the ultimate slap since her mom had asked me weeks before to make her a grad cake for the party (over 100people attending). After her ceremony she texted me asking to speak to me in a very hostile message, mentioning how it will be in private as “it’s no one’s business”. I agreed and went over after my shift and she called me to her room and sat down and proceeded to say the most hurtful things I’ve ever heard. She preyed on every insecurity she could think of and started to say how since the day I moved here she’s never felt comfortable around me and she shouldn’t have to put herself thru this tension and stress to be around me and how every conversation we‘be ever had has added no benefit to her life. She said she feels uneasy whenever I come over and that she just decided she doesn’t want to fake having to like me anymore and I can’t do anything to change that. And she said this all smirking and smiling as I had tears pouring down my face. It’s been three years of slumber parties shopping birthdays holidays family events weekends pool days everything u could think of we’ve experienced it together and those are some of my happiest times. All for her to say it was all fake? I kept asking her how she could say such hurtful things when I see her truly as a younger sister and one of my closest friends and after I’ve opened up to them so much over the years. I swear I even told them how grateful I am for their friendship and how I struggle to make friends because I feel like others judge me or make me feel bad for my personality. But I never in all these years felt that with them. Not to mention that I am literally married to their cousin. I’m the closest thing to a sister in law. How could she throw all that away? And she just shrugged and said none of that matters and I don’t get to decide who she speaks to. I asked if she really means she doesn’t want to speak to me anymore and she just chuckled and said ya. “It’s better I don’t see you or that you don’t come around here and make me uncomfortable.” A lot more was said but for the sake of reading I’ll leave it out. I left her room sobbing and she slammed her door shut behind me. Her sister was in the room next door and did not say anything. the rest of the family was asleep or in bed. I cried all night and literally feel Ike I’m going thru a breakup or something. My poor husband is so confused and mad but we have no idea what to do. It’s more deep rooted since I’ve literally bonded so much with this family I love them all truly and now Ifeel crazy like I imagined these three years of friendship. i keep thinking back and doubting every second I spent there. I have so many pictures in my apartment of all of us and thousands on my phone of us just hanging out and I keep looking at them and doubting if she hated me all those times we talked.
Her mother called me the next morning saying how her husband told her what he heard of the convo and how they were both so so sorry for what she said. She said her daughter has done this before with her own brother and didn’t speak to him for weeks but I told her this is different. She could very well go the rest of our lives not speaking and there goes my future of comfort in my only family here. She said she will talk to her and get her to apologize but I don’t want to even hear that. I can never bring myself to see these people again and I will not beg for a friendship with someone who doesn’t want me around. I have that much self respect at least. I’ve done so much for these girls I bake every bday cake I buy them great bday presents I celebrate every happy moment with them and support them when they feel low. I’ve given them the most kind and genuine friendship… the kind I hoped to receive in turn. I honestly cannot believe that chapter of my life is over and now I feel so alone. I spoke to one of the other cousins when she jokingly asked why I left crying (she lives with them too) and I broke down and told her everything said and how hurt I was. This girl just shrugs and says “ya that’s how she is we can’t change that” like are u kidding me??? I mean absolutely nothing to these people. They all went out and posted it and I’m here crying all day. How do I get over this pain and how do I handle the rest of my life with these people. I still care about their parents I’m just so hurt and offended and shocked at how shitty this one person made me feel. Sorry if this is all confusing I’ll probably delete this in an hour. I've been wanting to get one for the longest time and I'm finally going to commit, but I need help.
Function: decorative with minor use (swing at tall grass and maybe thin twigs)

Questions:

As the title says, I want to buy either an electric bike or a scooter with a budget of 1500 usd. Im only 5'11 but my legs are pretty long for my height so it d be great if that bike could accommodate a 6'1 dude. I like to have my legs at around 150 degrees when fully extending my legs on the pedals. Having my legs locked at anything less is mental torture for wtv reason. Also fat tires (26' by 4') are great since canada has all types of weather. I d say minimum 25mph speed as well and something that can go uphill. So far, i got the velotric nomad 1 on my mind which seems perfect, but its only sold by bestbuy and its out of stock... So what are your recommendations for somethings thats sold in canada at a 1500usd budget and respects my criteria. Also if buying a bike and adding a battery and all the stuff is cheaper and more reliable, I can do that, im good at tinkering with stuff.
