I'm probably gonna stop using this account and Reddit as a whole after this post so I guess use this comment section to tell other people why I'm wrong and have a skill issue or something.
Slayer is broken.
If you have a character who can do >480 damage in a meterless combo, that is not good design. That is blatantly unfair and Pay-To-Win, as we are all aware Slayer is DLC. I love strive and GG as a whole, but seasons 3/4 have really thrown me off, as I feel like every character released is just an 'original cast' character (non DLC) or early DLC but...better? Johnny was just Goldlewis but zoner (similar damage and ability to loop guard crush), Elphelt is Elphelt (I surprisingly hate fighting her the least), A.B.A. is...boy do I have some things to say about ABA (like how her main downside is just blatantly a lie, she's still pretty damn good in her normal mode), and then Slayer. Who is the topic of this post.

So damn much, he does way too much damage, is practically unpunishable, is way too fast and his overdrives are questionable as to who moderated them (a full screen instant overdrive with 2 frames of startup and what is practically 1 frame of reaction time you get to block, which then leads into Slayer's stupid mixup? Really?).
I get that Slayer has always been the 'high damage character', but in a game where damage is already noticeably high, he just doesn't fit at all. Either he keeps his current damage and wins from sheer chip damage from his stupid dash spam cancer 'strategy' or he gets his damage nerfed and loses what makes him unique (he doesn't, but I guess I can see why people would think that).
This is supplemented by the fact that his already insane damage guard-crushes, so guess what? Your opponent correctly reads your attack and blocks you? Well don't worry, just RRC and get a free wallbreak 60% health combo and put yourself at advantage! How fun Slayer is! He has 1-2 combos that I see people do (so people want to complain about Ky being boring? Play/fight Slayer). His dash shouldn't be a mixup potential either. He already has ludicrous mixups and extreme damage and practically free combos, he doesn't need even more mixup potential.
And it's not even like he's high-risk high-reward, he's just a braindead character that makes Sol players look like geniuses. You get read and countered? Don't worry, your guts is good, you'll be fine and then you can one-hit your enemy later! Your attack missed? Follow it up with the same attack! Bonus points if you guard crush with it!! Imagine is Elphelt's rekka GC'd, people would complain about it so much, but when Slayer, a faster and higher-damage character, gets that it is deemed as completely fair and balanced.
And take into account, this isn't even fuelled by the fact that I can't fight Slayer, most of my fights with Slayers end in 2-0 victories for me. But that's not because my character could match Slayer, that's because the people playing Slayer hadn't had much time to adjust to defending as Slayer, and so got wiped then they did make a serious mistake (which is what you end up fishing for, either you play the game at a snail's pace and draw out the Slayer into making mistakes, or you try to break his defence and get guard-crushed insta killed).
I also hate the tower, that's massively put me off GGST (I've won 17 games on floor 9 and lost 4-5...and then I went to floor 8. I hate tower).
So yeah, rant over I guess, I hate Slayer, Johnny, ABA and the tower. Pretty normal tbh.

You’re a damn fool, you know that?”, said Gemeti.
After they arrived at the palace, Lord Gyholt’s servants showed them to their quarters where they would stay with the Fursaglan lord’s own staff. It was a spacious set of rooms, whitewashed walls and a light breeze gliding in from the outside bringing in the awful smell of the city’s smoke. They seemed nice enough though there was no way to communicate anything to them since neither group knew the other’s tongue. Gemeti took a reluctant Ettu away from the main group to chastise her in a corner of the room.
Ettu sighed heavily, “Yes, I know. You’ve done nothing but tell me since I joined Lord Palanu’s service. He can punish me if he wants to. That Marhuk’s smile and laughter would be worth every bit of misery”. She could still picture that beautiful smile he had that made her heart skip a beat.
The other woman put her fists in her hips, “What would your mother say about this?”.
Ettu laughed, “She would hand me a flask of animal fat”.
Gemeti blushed and sucked in her breath in irritation before throwing her head back in a guffaw. That’s when Ettu knew she had her. Her mother always told her to win people over with a smile and a jest and ever since it had worked like a charm and got her out of trouble many times. The other woman stopped suddenly when she realized she was loud enough to draw the gaze of several of the other servants but then giggled more quietly with Ettu.
The giggling was cut short when a Fursaglan servant hurriedly entered the room and closed the door behind him. He leaned against the door as if bracing himself to prevent anyone else from coming in.
One of the other Fursaglan servants walked up to him and asked a question. Before he could answer, a sword ran through his back and out of his stomach and spat blood out. The worried man screamed and coughed blood as the door hinges broke and the door itself crushed him. Through the door, came a man in silver armor, other armed men behind him. The warrior was big and muscular which left Ettu in no doubt that he broke the door down by himself. He hacked down the inquisitive servant, killing him with two blows to the head.
One woman belted out an ear splitting scream, cut short by the murderer’s quick dash towards her, ramming his obsidian sword through her heart. Another woman began running for the window which led the others to do the same. More assailants filtered in, slashing at more men and women and creating a pool of gore and guts.
“Oh fuck!”, said Ettu.
Gemeti took her hand and pulled her away from the bloodshed and into the window. But all the servants rushed through at the same time, leaving none of them free to jump out. Hemmed in to one side of the room, they made it easier for the warriors to cut them down.
Gemeti’s face was struck with horror, “Gods! They killed them. Just slashed them like lumberjacks at a forest”.
The first intruder cleaved her head off with his already gory sword. The warrior had been sawing off another servant’s arm when he saw her with an almost feral expression on his face and jumped at her. Blood flew at Ettu’s face, a gasp all that escaped her. She never had it in her to scream but that didn’t mean she wasn’t scared.
Piss slithered down her legs as she knelt before him, “Please don’t kill me. I don’t want to die”, with hands held up as if she could stop a sword swing.
The warrior smiled at her fear, enjoying every second of it. Through his grin he said with a thick accent, “Die, Aroloth”.
Suddenly, one of her hands turned bright green. A sharp pain surged through her arm and manifested itself in a lance of fire, blasting from her palm and into the murderer’s chest. He fell down, never knowing what killed him.
At the north wing of the palace, Lord Gyholt was gesturing at his Sentinels, barking out orders and cursing at his manservant to put the armor on faster. He had men watch the windows to gauge the enemy numbers and servants cowering at a corner. Meanwhile, Palanu calmly ran an oilcloth along his khopesh and swung it around to test it amidst all the chaos in the room. Two of his guards flanking him.
“Asula! Go with Mazni and his brothers. By Crudas! Where’s Marhuk?”, said Gyholt as he swore by the Fursaglan god of warriors.
The throne room was a cream-colored, marble representation of Fursagla’s history with intricately etched bass reliefs of the Eagle Kings and their households. The images were everywhere, in each floor tile, round pillar, step in the dais, and the very throne itself. The whole place seemed to burst with reminders of Fursagla’s martial glory as if a man might quickly forget it.
“What’s the best route to the barracks?”, asked the Aroloth lord.
Gyholt shooed his manservant away once he was done, “What? You mean to go out there? Wait for me and my Sentinels. We can go out together to rescue your men”.
A man’s howl of pain took both lords’ attention. One of the watchers was pierced with an arrow in the clavicle. A warrior climbed in through the window as the watcher sobbed at his pain, the sobbing man grew quiet as a sword thrust to the temple ended him. More assailants entered, killing another watcher with a spear through the skull.
Immediately the Sentinels ran to their lord in a wall of bronze and hides and slammed their shields into the ground with an intimidating, “Huh!”. The enemies quickly swarmed the room, tearing arms and slashing necks all the while of any man not behind the Sentinels or Palanu and his guards. One assailant in particular wore Dendra armor and a plumed helmet with cheek pieces and a grim smile plastered on his face.
“Gojan”, said Lord Gyholt.
“Gyholt”, said Gojan son of Asgena.
“Where’s your father? If we could get to him then we can end all this senseless violence and make amends”, said the Fursaglan lord.
The nobleman sneered, “What makes you think we’re stupid enough to believe that?”.
“You were stupid enough to attack my palace”, retorted the former rebel.
The younger man snarled and shouted an order to attack. His men charged, bringing to bear wrathful blows and glory-hounding sprints. Palanu and his two guards (Sylon and Naru-zim) braced for impact, holding khopeshs and tower-like shields except for the Aroloth lord.
Even with the lack of shield, Palanu held his khopesh before him, giving vicious strokes with its hungry edge to the first man that faced him. The warrior had barely grown his chin hairs when he threw himself at the noble with wide eyes and panicky spear thrusts. The khopesh darted out and banged against his copper helmet. While his opponent was dazed, Palanu quickly reversed his grip and hooked the young man’s shield, pulling him away from his companions as if a babe from a nest of vipers. Only the babe landed in a nest of cobras. Once he stole away the shield, the Aroloth pushed the tip of his sword through his gullet and tore it out with a strip of flesh dangling in the hilt. The fight lasted less than two seconds.
The room became a cauldron of action as men on both sides jabbed and pushed each other, a red flood spilling into the floor. In the midst of this battle, Gojan saw Palanu’s prowess with his khopesh. After killing his first opponent, the lord let the next man come only to hack him down with equal vigor. His beautiful, sky blue sleeves became drenched in crimson blood, spit adorned his forehead, fire burned behind his eyes.
The magma in his veins coursed through his body, his whole world narrowed down to his blade and his next victim. He killed them all, the ugly, the beautiful, the sad, and the happy. Gojan watched it all traverse before him. With greedy determination, he pushed past his men to get to the Aroloth lord.
“AROLOTH!”, he bawled.
Sylon saw him first whilst his lord slew yet another traitor and bellowed out a war cry to call him out. The Fursaglan noble fixed his eyes on the bronze-armored guard and stomped towards him, bashing the heads of the remnants of the fighting men still not in formation, chunks of brain-matter and skull-bone flew up and rained down, adding to the collage of death unleashed by Asgena.
Sylon’s khopesh wove a tapestry of slaughter as he ended the lives of men who stood between him and Gojan. There was no speech by either man like in the songs, no ceremonies like in Strohinite duels or war dances like in the Demon Isles, just the fight. Mace met khopesh, stone against bronze. The bronze-armored man expected to get a few chips off his opponent’s weapon but had realized it was spell-bound. Gojan grinned nastily as he belted out an animal growl that caused it to glow a deep purple and they clashed again.
The blade juddered and nearly leapt from Sylon’s grasp this time, but he bit his tongue in determination and his knuckles whitened as he tightened his grip. The mace spat lightning and hissed with every touch. Another series of clashes pelted Sylon’s khopesh with many notches. Battle-madness held him, veins popped out along his hands and forehead. The Fursaglan noble lost his grin and sweat beaded his brow as he only barely swept aside yet another lunge from the guard.
Though he was an expert warrior trained from birth, Gojan only ever fought against peasants in the battlefield. Unbeknownst to him, Sylon was as blueblooded as he was and was considered gifted for his young age. When the son of Asgena realized the man wasn’t going down, he grew desperate, driving harder swings into his opponent and expending more of his strength.
Sylon realized this and simply let his shield take the beating. The cured hides blackened and light wisps of smoke rose from the places the Fursaglan bashed with his mace. The Aroloth man’s muscles jolted, the slight twinge of fear that belied his defence fueling his every move and stratagem. With a twist of wrist, the mace slid by and took the Fursaglan’s momentum with it. Out balanced and out maneuvered, Gojan was at the mercy of Sylon’s blade. The tortured khopesh sank deep with a vengeance between shoulder and neck.
Nerveless fingers dropped the mace, the deep purple glow dissolving into thin air. The noble warrior himself staring at the ground with glazed eyes and dripping blood. Sylon slid the khopesh out and much of his neck with it. Before the body dropped on the floor, the guardsman yelled out, “For the Emperor!”, as he awaited the next foe.
Naru-zim fought methodically, cold calculation and ruthless determination guiding his strikes and parries. Both khopesh and shield were trained for offense and defense and narrow was the window which a man could strike true against a foe like him. Nary a flinch shook him from his deep concentration from the killing, slicing flesh with a butcher’s precision and sending souls to the River Vim which was his people’s concept of the afterlife. He made no war cry, he let his blade do the talking. And it sang a bloody chorus as men fell like trees in a logging camp. After his last swing felled another man, he noticed the rest of the traitors were retreating with tails between their legs. Cowards, he thought. A man should stand and fight until his lifeblood oozed from him.
Palanu wiped his khopesh in the cleaner parts of his clothing, “Peace be with you”, he said to the dead men who were his victims.
“They were traitors to our God, Lord Palanu. No men are less deserving of mercy as these”, said Naru-zim as he stabbed a groaning traitor and left him in a pool of his own blood.
“Mercy is a gift of the righteous, my friend. A man is not judged more than when he has the upper hand”.
Naru-zim bowed at his lord politely before he turned a corpse over and pushed his khopesh into its neck. When Sylon strayed from them to kill more of the wounded, he barked out, “Sylon! What are you doing?”.
The other guard turned to him, “What do you think? Killing the enemy”.
Naru-zim screwed up his face in anger, “Our job’s to protect Lord Palanu not running off after the enemy”.
“How else do you protect him if not by killing the enemy?”, said Sylon, flabbergasted.
“Enough, both of you”, growled Palanu, “Like a pair of old wives, you are. We are still in the presence of Lord Gyholt and his Sentinels. Don’t shame the Emperor’s name”.
The two guards muttered their apologies and Sylon jogged back to Palanu’s side.
Lord Palanu approached Lord Gyholt and gave him an apologetic smile, “Please forgive the disgrace you witnessed, my lord. My men are… young and untested in the realm of manners and discipline”.
The Fursaglan lord nodded in understanding, “They are like brothers. I’m certain it is merely their eagerness to serve”.
Palanu nodded thankfully yet in the back of his head he was disappointed. ‘All my life I’ve heard of the many glorious deeds of the guardians of the God. I never pictured them bickering amongst themselves’.

I thought I'd put his post out there for people curious on builds for War neo and some feedback so this may be a TLDR post for some 😅
My early impressions on War neo and I predicted this a few months back is that War Neo when it comes to the regular floors will be the easiest Neo tower we will have down to the fact shooter being consistently viable and meaning you can keep serial killer up and not getting hit much so keeping Defence high. Just to add as well that you have to use War Ensemble armor so you will have pierce resistance unlike Neo Dod.
However I can't stress enough this is considering the shooter class. Melee classes from others I've seen use works, but as expected will be a bit more tough.
Haters on floors like Uge and Kitamin for example I used a m2g firework to group them up then rocket to 1 shot them in earlier floors. I'm not an m2g knife god so this is my go to for groups ☹️
Dev haters up till 85f + melt from m2g knife.
Screamer Pits: I've done this run a run to 80f and 65f Neo War and yet still haven't had one. EZ with shooter probably but Melee will mean some hits will be received.
Jin Die Was surprisingly not as tough as I thought she would be but again using a shooter with full serial killer will do that to her. With a Melee build I'd recommend Saving a Snailshroom as it basically means a free opening when she uses her shock projectile attack. Not gonna lie though I don't really have Melee experience vs her with War Ensemble Melee Weapons.
Jackson With shooter all about the power of the mushrooms vs Jackson. Kamas will shred and if you are an m2g god, jin die and Jackson (decal set up dependant) will be a field day and as above i don't have experience vs Him with Melee War Ensemble Weapons but looks like the new Machete BP Fenrir will be good vs him and Jin die.
Red Napalm My strat was
Step 1 Run to left pillar, while not getting hit.
Step 2 Block her blue wave to keep serial killer up.
Step 3 Eat an attack buff shroom.
Step 4 Eat either Cat eye (best choice) or umbrella shroom. If you don't have any of these then I'd suggest doubling up on attack shrooms and tough shrooms.
Step 5 Go ham while she does her 1st reload.
Step 6 She runs away and goes invisible listen for her and avoid her attack and punish her reloads and staggers. With a shooter you can run around her rage and get in a few hits as well just before her rage ends as her aim messes up when hit.
You see with Red Napalm hell she really suffers not having a timer as you can just take your time walking around her attacks and keep punishing her reloads.
Just make sure to stay as central as possible so her rocket splash doesn't hit you from behind and punishing her openings and she will fall.

While i think monkey team is a fine addition to the game, golden bloon fucking suck.

The problems
First thing, if you back out using the home button the gold bloon just dissapear entirely, i think it's because you can used on rounds where the golden bloon spawn so that you can prepare for it, but like who the hell care, and if i'm playing on impopable and bloons start leaking i have to use a continue because if i back out i'll loose the golden bloon, and this has been a problem for more than 3 years since the entire golden bloon existance, why has there been no fixes yet?
Second thing, it's so repetitive, unlike monkey team where you can try different strategies, there's only a few towers that work with golden bloon, and most of them require very specific setup which mean your choice of towers will be even more niche (you can only use short and medium range tower, and no tower near your glue/ice), i used to go with a 250 glue storm + bloon sabotage for golden bloon because since the ability is global range it let me pop the golden bloon without having to compromise my defenses, but now even that doesn't work anymore due to the slowdown nerf of glue storm, the only real other option that can consistently pop golden bloon and doesn't compromise having you to use specific tower is the pop and awe, which is extremely annoying to saveup for in the early rounds and also if you time the ability even slightly late the golden bloon will get past your defense. So in general, the way that the game want you to pop a golden bloon is to buy the exact same tower to pop the golden bloon and not let you buy global range/long range towers (which let's be real is usually the most fun tower to use)
Third thing, the golden bloon mechanic is just super annoying. Like why does it have to spawn on a random round? I don't think there'd be any issue if it spawn on a specific round like rounds that ends with 5, after all NK is trying to crack down RNG of many towers (which they should, because it's a tower defense game, loosing to rng is not fun at all) yet they still leave the golden bloon RNG to be a thing, there's a huge difference in difficulty if a golden bloon spawn in on round 21 or 29 for example. Same thing with the jumping mechanic, it's just so unpredictable that it makes the golden bloon unfun to play especially on harder maps like advanced or expert (i usually don't like playing on beginner or intermediate since it's too easy but on harder maps it become way too inconsistent).
And lastly, the rewards are just plain garbage. The only reason anyone would do this and keep up with the frustration is just to clear achievements. Like seriously i think it's much more efficient to just ignore golden bloon and play like normal to clear the map faster, and also the golden bloon isn't on all maps so it'll be even rarer for it to be conviniently on a map that you're grinding for
TLDR: Golden bloon doesn't let you back out of the game, is super repetitive and has very few strategies that work (while all of the good strategies being boring), has an overall rng and frustrating mechanic, and the rewards def needs a buff
What i would do to fix it: -Fix the back to home bug/feature, it's just an annoyance and absolutely do not need to be there -Either nerf the jump mechanic or rework it entirely, this mechanic just make it so that it's super annoying to deal with -Add some variety into the golden bloon gameplay, an idea is that every golden bloon game there'll be a special modifier in the golden bloon that get randomly selected every game (for example, the "golden MOAB" modifier, after round 80, the golden bloon will get transformed into the golden MOAB which mean you'll have to change the way you tackle the golden bloon since low tier ice monkey or glue gunner won't work on it anymore. Another modifier is regrow golden bloon that regenerate hp over time but have its invincibility and jump range reduced, which make tower like the glue gunner not as viable while making other fast attacking towers like the supermonkey viable) -Buff the reward, maybe give an extra insta monkey and the more golden bloon you pop, the higher rarity it will be (maybe only up to like tier 4, and a 5% chance to get tier 5 if you pop all golden bloons) -Reduce the RNG in golden bloon by making the spawn range smaller or remove it entirely and make the jump distance a fixed amount

Apologies for the absolutely insane number of words, got carried away trying to compensate for being slower than usual with my recap.
The cold open for the finale has a nice little parallel to the cold open in S1E2, which similarly has Deborah walk in to Marty who’s in a somewhat compromising position with his trainer to deliver good news, although in this case her news is something they both celebrate, rather than a win she uses to gloat over Marty
Even though she’s in a much less combative place with Marty, Deborah still isn’t willing to admit that she came over to tell him the news in person and insists that she’s only there to return the key, showing the limited extent to which she is willing to open up even to people she’s known for a long time.
Deborah and Marty doing the tango together to basically celebrate the news is quite cute and a fun way to kick off the episode
I do think it’s kind of sweet that Kathy is quite looking forward to Deborah’s visit, and J Smith Cameron plays up Kathy’s somewhat childlike excitement at this during the opening of the phone call
Nice to see Deborah making an effort to follow up after inviting Kathy for Christmas, committing to a sister’s weekend is a not insignificant step although it also becomes clear that she’s not 100% committed to it. Waiting for Kathy to call and then tell her there’s a change in plans instead of just straight up telling her isn’t a particularly nice thing to do
Deborah has a weird look on her face when Kathy brings up her parents at the mausoleum, which I initially thought was because she didn’t really like to reflect on the past, although on a rewatch it becomes clear it’s because she knows the truth about the mausoleum.
“She’s pivoting into being an adult” Found the way Kayla phrased this part of the child star to adult actor experience to be very funny. I guess the Bella Donaldson character is supposed to be a reference to people like Zendaya, Zac Efron and Selena Gomez (Cannes Best Actress winner!!???), Disney child stars who are trying to shed their past image and be taken as serious adult actors to varying degrees of success. Also the bit about getting awards buzz for an Aronofsky movie feels a bit like what happened/ was projected to happen with Sadie Sink and The Whale
Deborah watching her old Late Night tape and Ava seeing her do that is a nice callback to and reversal of S1E3, where it was Ava watching Deborah’s tape and discovering more about her past
I love Hannah Einbinder’s simple but sincere delivery of “I knew you would” as Ava, and the way Jean Smart lets just the tiniest smile play across Deborah’s lips in response to Ava’s belief in her
Ava being able to only write stuff for Deborah’s Late Night show and not any actual material of her own shows that even though it’s been a year plus since the S2 Finale she still has the same issue of Deborah being “the one with all the stories. What do I even have to say?”
Ava’s voice going up endearingly high when she says “This is gonna be amazing” is very cute, what a touching and lovely scene between Deborah and Ava showing the respect and admiration they have for each other. I’m sure that will continue for the rest of the finale!
How does a safe in the floor of the pool even work lol
Very fun comedy freaking out by Mark Indelicato as Damien, him becoming hysterical at the thought of becoming the new Marcus is hugely entertaining.
According to Hannah Einbinder and Jean Smart on Variety’s Award Circuit podcast, thy did shoot a scene for this episode where Marcus does tell Deborah that he’s leaving but it was cut from the episode. Honestly not sure what role Marcus will play next season and curious to see what the writers will do since it seems he’s going on a very different plotline than the rest of the show. If this was another show I’d say he’s being written out but from interviews and other behind the scenes material the cast and showrunners are fairly tight knit, so I’d imagine they’ll find a way which makes sense for Marcus to continue being around
Between this guest appearance as Bella Donaldson and the release of Lisa Frankenstein and Abigail, Kathryn Newton is quietly having a pretty cool 2024. She absolutely nails the passive-aggressive “nice” girl type that she’s asked to play here. Also the Zack and Cody mention is kind of neat since Newton starred along with Cole Sprouse in Lisa Frankenstein earlier this year, while the goat demon movie mentioned might possibly be a nod to Newton’s affinity for the horro horror adjacent genre?
Quite like this Jimmy/Kayla B plot, allows Meg Stalter to show a different/more emotional side to Kayla who’s usually just the very fun comedic relief. Her smiling nicely and trying to politely ward off Bella’s passive-aggressive “niceness” is such a deeply human character beat.
Deborah Margesson doesn’t quite have the same ring to it as Deborah Vance, so I guess that’s why she didn’t go back to her maiden name after the divorce.
Deborah moving her parent’s remains to Vegas and not telling Kathy for twenty plus years is absolutely deranged behaviour. “It was a corner plot” and “I used my art shipper!” are ridiculously bad responses to the situation, this being the last straw for Kathy is very understandable. Although in Deborah’s defence I guess the fact that she was willing to accompany Kathy to the mausoleum for what she knows to be a completely empty gesture is her deranged way of showing care for her sister and not wanting to hurt her feelings.
Also in hindsight Deborah lying to/not telling Kathy about their parents to avoid hurting her feelings and any conflict is good foreshadowing since that pretty much turns out to be what she does regarding Ava and the head writer job

I think Kathy’s reaction to Deborah here and deciding that she’s had enough of her BS and not wanting to put herself through even more hurt in attempting to maintain a relationship is completely reasonable, really liked J Smith Cameron’s work here, as well as Jean Smart playing Deborah’s silent acceptance of this relationship blowing up yet again

Kathy’s reaction to Deborah’s BS here serves as a great contrast to how Ava deals with Deborah’s BS later on in the episode, it truly takes someone special/equally deranged to want to continue being with Deborah despite all her flaws and the hurt she causes to those around her. To use some internet parlance, Kathy is unwilling to put up with Deborah’s freak, while Ava ends up being more than willing to match Deborah’s
Lewis Benton/ fake John Oliver’s line to Ava about her being the hardest-working person in the office is a nice reminder of how working with Deborah has changed Ava for the better in some ways by giving her a stronger work ethic
“Maybe our paths will cross again” Just speculating here, and maybe this would be too inside baseball of a storyline for a show that initially at least was about two people on the “outside” of the entertainment industry, but might there be a future storyline of Deborah competing against fake John Oliver for an Emmy? A recent Emmy rule change starting from the Emmys earlier this year means that Oliver no longer competes with the more traditional Late Night shows like Colbert, Kimmel, Meyers, The Daily Show etc prior to that this had been the case for the past ten or so years
Kayla being the funny one growing up as a defense mechanism against bullies like Bella is such a great character detail on the part of the writers, makes so much sense and explains so much about Kayla’s outlook and attitude
This conflict is so great because both Jimmy and Kayla do have a point. Obviously Jimmy standing up for Kayla who’s being bullied is a good thing for him to do as a friend, but Kayla’s also not wrong in feeling that Jimmy is kind of ignoring her work and being a bit patronising. Really liked how Meg Stalter plays Kayla’s hurt feelings in this scene, it’s a well-executed emotional beat for a generally comedic character. And this continues the throughline about whether Jimmy has what it takes/enough stones and guts to be in the business which was also seen in the back part of S2
Quite liked the scene between Deborah and Biff Cliff (what a name!), a pretty sobering reminder of the obstacles faced by women in entertainment and just how precarious making it in the business actually is, makes complete sense that it would spook Deborah to do what she does later on
I thought the Jimmy Page dating a 14 year old story was meant to be a jab and Jerry Seinfeld and his 17 year old girlfriend, but googled and found out that that was a true story too
I feel like the bit Ava has as a writer taking new headshots and the different treatment they receive compared to actors must be drawn from the real-life experiences of the writers/showrunners, it’s such a specific joke. That said I think if you asked a layperson to tell who’s a writer and who’s an actor from this Deadline photoshoot I think they’d be hard pressed to tell the difference (very complimentary).
Ava sharing her excitement over her “dream job” as head writer for Deborah with a random make-up artist is very endearing, and just makes what happens later on even more crushing
Deborah going to the exec meeting and slowly realising just how much is being invested in her is a great bit of reaction acting from Jean Smart, and further helps reinforce the pressure she’s under and explains her choices
Quite liked the scene of Deborah telling Ava that the network doesn’t want her as head writer, on first watch it seems like Deborah is just worried about how to break the bad news to Ava and let her down easy, but on rewatch it feels so obvious that Deborah is just lying through her teeth to Ava and struggling with it big time.
Jimmy’s “proposal” to Kayla on the plane is such a great comedic setpiece/skewing of the rom-con trope, everything from the overly-excited passenger who completely misreads the situation to Jimmy kneeling because the flight attendant says there’s no standing in the aisle is just perfect.
It’s also just a really good way to cap off the season long plot involving Jimmy and Kayla, we’ve seen throughout the season that they make a very good thing and that Kayla’s kind of a genius at this in her own unique way, very satisfying to see Jimmy finally recognise this and promote her. Jimmy and Kayla’s mentomentee relationship serves as a healthy contrast to Deborah and Ava,with Jimmy as a mentor who recognises the mentee’s contributions and is willing to make compromises (see his acceptance of Kayla’s three funny videos a day)
Jimmy’s voice going up absurdly high when he says “Leave us alone!!!” and “What is your deal” is fantastic comedic work from co-showrunner Paul W Downs, he’ll get Writing and Series Emmy nominations this year, but he should really be getting one for Supporting Actor too.
I guess if you want to nitpick you could say Ava running into Winnie is a very convenient thing to move the plot along, but I choose to look at is as a reminder that Ava has moved on up in the world since the end of S2 and is now at a place where she can get takeout from fancy places where a high-level network head might also dine

My god, Ava confronting Deborah is just a perfect perfect scene, the writing is so sharp and Jean Smart is fantastic at playing Deborah going into ice/hardened mode when being confronted, but what a tremendous performance by Hannah Einbinder. She just captures the mixture of betrayal, hurt and anger that Ava feels so naturally and powerfully
There’s so many callbacks and references to previous Deborah/Ava confrontations and scenes from across the show. Ava accusing Deborah of just doing the same thing is from their very first meeting S1E1 where she calls her a hack as well as from their argument in S1E10 when she calls her the same thing. The line about being “a shark or whatever” comes from S2E5 which is what Deborah’s retired comedian friend Susan describes her as, with Deborah later then telling Ava that “You’ve got to be a shark” at the end of S2E8. And Deborah’s advice to Ava to be ambitious and saying that she feels lonely when opening a champagne bottle comes from S3E5 (take that people who said the woods episode was pointless filler).
“You can be the woman behind the man behind the woman” What an unappealing job description, and also a sign of how far Ava has comes since the S2 finale when she was unwilling to take the credit for writing Deborah’s special. Now her time away from Deborah has allowed Ava the space to truly value herself, her achievements and be justifiably proud of them (she stresses her job at On The Contrary to Deborah back in S3E1 and stresses her co-producer role when in bed with Christina Hendricks in S3E6), and she’s no longer willing to accept this demotion and wants credit for her work.
“You’re already making decisions out of fear and you’ll keep doing it” A really cutting observation from Ava which completely nails what Deborah is doing, much like how she immediately clocks in S2E8 that Deborah is pushing her away because she’s afraid.
“It has to work. I’ve lost way too much for it not too” Deborah’s sentiment applies equally to Ava as it does to herself, and helps explain just why Ava would go to the the extremes she does later on
As much as the dialogue in the scene is great, this Deborah and Ava argument also hits hard because of the silent moments in between. The wordless ten seconds or so which rests entirely on Ava after Deborah says that she’s willing to lose her is just tremendous stuff from Hannah Einbinder, all the hurt plays across her face and Einbinder is simply terrific in making the audience feel the deep hurt and sense of betrayal of that moment
Ava saying that Deborah will die alone is something that Deborah has thought about before, saying back in S1E9 in her interview with a journalist that she accepts the truth that people leave the world completely alone and refuses to pretend otherwise
One Last Time - Deb’s Final Stand Up is the track which plays as the big Deborah/Ava argument scene closes out according to Shazam, with the track (that played in the S1 Finale) taking on a whole new meaning in this context. The soundtrack isn’t a big selling point of the show unlike something like say Succession, but the themes by Carlos Rafael Rivera are simple but always effective
Jimmy taking a selfie in his new office is quite cute, and him saying that he didn’t do it alone and comforting Ava at the end of this scene is a much needed nice beat after the intensity of the previous scene
“shows that already exist with one tiny tweak, or huge global hits” Honestly a pretty depressing but frankly accurate read of the current media/television landscape
Jimmy saying that he knows Ava will do the right thing brings to mind these Deborah lines to Ava from the previous episode “It’s so easy for you to say what’s right or wrong. It’s never that simple. One day you’ll understand that” Ava’s move of blackmailing to get Deborah to do right by her certainly falls into the “never that simple” category
Curious about the politics/legal behind the scenes stuff that needed to be cleared to have Deborah be the host of a CBS late night show in the world of Hacks, while Hacks the actual show is under Warner Bros. Discovery which does not own hacks. I guess in this universe Deborah gets the Late Late Show timeslot instead of Taylor Tomlinson with After Midnight
Deborah’s left Vegas but the vanity plate for her car will continue to follow her and be updated
Deborah excitedly taking a photo of her Host parking spot is very cute, but the beat immediately after when we see a hint of her being sad and uneasy/regretful is also great, she’s achieved her dream but at great personal cost, and has no one to share the photo and moment with
It’s been a central thesis of the show that Deborah and Ava are ultimately more alike than different despite their different ages, backgrounds etc. Even in S1E2 the antiques dealer says that Deborah and Ava are “the same” and are “both psychotic b*tches”, and in episode after episode we see just how alike they are. For example in S2E2 after Deborah finds out about the email she says that Ava is just like her, being equally cruel and selfish. Ava blackmailing her abusive boss so that she can continue to work with her is just a completely insane thing to do, and also very much something Deborah would do herself to help her career, as we saw back in S1E5 when Deborah blackmailed Marty to secure her dates at the Palmetto
This move also shows just how much Ava has learnt from Deborah and how much the student has learnt from the master. Ava takes Deborah’s advice from S2E8 to be a shark, and her advice from S3E5 to “concentrate on what’s best for you”. It’s also ends up becoming a twisted version of Ava saying that she won’t leave Deborah in that same episode too, with Ava resorting to blackmail to stay with Deborah. And Ava finally does what she said back in S2E8, which is that “I get to decide what’s best for me”. I love love love the layers to this show!
I love love love the cocky and slightly confident/smirking Ava that we get a brief glimpse of from this scene, coupled with the power suit she’s rocking it makes for such a satisfying moment as she gets one up over Deborah after being on the back foot previously
We’ve seen a different and more vulnerable side of Deborah this season in S3E5 and S3E7, and seen her be like a fangirl in S3E4, but this scene and her stepping up to Ava and slightly seething as she says “You wouldn’t” is a nice reminder that she can be absolutely terrifying when she wants to be
That tiny tiny little gulp that Hannah Einbinder does when/just after Ava says “I would” is so so good, Ava’s standing up to Deborah but Deborah is still one very scary person. Also really love her cocking her head to one side as she says “Wouldn’t you?”
This has already been pointed out on Twitter, but Deborah and Ava sitting apart in the writer’s room at the end is kind of like the pepper shakers which Deborah rearranged to be apart in S3E1. Also a nice contrast to S3E8 when they were sitting apart as Ava was reporting the journalist’s article to Deborah, even despite them sitting separately they were still very close emotionally, but now the physical distance between them is reflective of the division between them as friends/colleagues
Spoilers for Succession S2E10: This Hacks finale is very reminiscent of the Succession S2 Final This Is Not For Tears. In both episodes the older mentor who’s been trying to teach their protege/successor to be harder and tougher ends up being too good at their job and get betrayed by their mentee in a stunning rug pull moment, even though for much of the season it seems the mentee is perfectly content working undefor their mentor. It’s a plot twist that’s both completely shocking in the moment yet makes so much sense when looking back on the season and the series as a whole. And of course the finale ends on a shot of the older mentor as they take in what their mentee has done, with a mixture of anger but also just the slightest hint of pride and begrudging admiration
This final twist in the finale of Ava blackmailing Deborah is so so good and satisfying, does what great season finales do which is deliver a “twist” that feels like a gut punch initially but has actually been building over the season, and sets up a really juicy scenario/ status quo for next season
Ava blackmailing her way to head writer on Deborah’s show is such a juicy scenario to leave things for Season 4, Ava has never had power over Deborah like she does now and I’m personally very much looking forward to how that changes their dynamic next season
My only concern is that I do hope the Vegas aspect and the characters from that part of the Hacks universe don’t get left behind with the focus shifting to running a Late Night show. If there is something to ding this season of the show it’s that there’s not enough Kiki, I’m not smart enough to figure out how a Vegas casino dealer will be able to regularly show up in LA but I selfishly want the writers to figure that out because Poppy Liu is just too fun as Kiki to leave out. Also kind of curious as to how they’ll keep Marcus around since he’s now leaving Deborah’s QVC empire.
Overall a really really great season finale and a very strong season as a whole, easily the best Comedy of the year and one of the best shows of the year. Really rooting for the show to win big prizes at the Emmys later this year against the Bear although that will be tough, pulling hard for Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder to win and for the show to at least win Writing if it can’t win for Comedy Series. Also would be very happy if Meg Stalter and Paul W Downs got their first-time noms this year, they were both great this season

In my opinion she doesn't really do anything valuable.
Aircraft efficiency: I did some testing and this is basically a worse bottom path discount village but the tier 4-5 upgrades also have a discount. Still the decrease is almost nothing. These are the prices in hard mode:

1. Apache dartship: 21,170 - 20,110
2. Apache prime: 48,600 - 46,170
3. Spectre: 25,270 - 24,010
4. Flying Fortress: 91,800 - 87,210

Maybe I'm not doing the math right but most people usually have around 10,000 money leftover when they finish a chimps game so this barely changes your run long term.
So here are my ideas for how to improve the discount:

1. Decrease prices for tiers 1-3 the same amount as 3x stacked discount villages.
2. The 1-3 tier discounts stay the same and the 4-5 discounts increase. (Not too much though getting flying fortress in chimps would be way too easy).
3. The discount should increase the higher her level is.

Guardian Automaton: minus %30 discount on anti-bloon. This seems good on paper but she levels as fast as Sauda and Ezili. This causes a lot of issues.

1. In non chimps, you'll probably be able to farm enough monkey money to get a full price anti-bloon without needing the discount.
2. Secondly in chimps she levels too slowly and can't be placed round 1 so you won't be able to get her to level 20 to buy anti-bloon so what's the point? Maybe on an expert map she can reach level 20 but by then (usually round 98-99) you already have more than enough money to buy anti-bloon without needing the discount.
3. Thirdly anti-bloon isn't even a good chimps tower just buy a mad. The anti-bloon is 80000 so the discount makes it 56,000 but you need to buy tech-terror so add up all the cash required to get a 2-5-0 anti bloon is 90300 while a 2-5-0 mad costs 71600. That gives an extra 20k to use to her a spirit of the forest or bloon solver

Her base attacks:
They're pretty good but her moving spots is not instant and disables her attacking which means you can't micro her mid round.
Ideas:

1. In later levels she should have pursuit targeting by default and the level 7 should buff her attacks after this.
2. level 10: Rosalia gains pursuit targeting in her tower radius
3. level 20: Rosalia constantly dual wields both grenade + laser and now has global range

Ideas for further passive buffs to Helis and aces:

1. Gives sky shredder neva-miss targeting option but reduces fire rate by 50% (this might be too op but it would be funny)
2. +1 pierce to all helis and aces
3. +2 damage to all helis and aces
4. +5 blast radius to flying fortress
5. +10 blast radius to spectre
6. -20% cooldowns on all helis and aces

She's called the "tinkerer" so give her passive buffs to machine based towers such as spike factory, engineer, robo monkey, tech terror so here are some random ideas:

1. Bloon trap can store twice as much bloons and gives 20 percent more income
2. All engineer monkey cooldowns are reduced by 20 percent
3. Robo monkey has +1 pierce
4. tech terror ability has -20& cooldown

I'm not saying to give her all of these passives these are just examples

protesters led by Bagrat Galstanyan clashed with police while attempting to enter the Foreign Ministry building

The pro-Russian former regime continues to demand PM Pashinyan's resignation. Yesterday protest co-organizer Bagrat Galstanyan said he was preparing a "surprise" for the government.
On Friday, Galstanyan and a group of supporters clashed with the police after he gave FM Mirzoyan and other ministry officials "30 minutes to come down and talk" and said he would enter the building if they didn't come. Galstanyan said he wanted the crowd to enter the building, too, but the police was against it.
Galstanyan said that the police "would be responsible for any clash". He said he didn't care if the police brought 2,000 more officers because he was determined to enter the building. The crowd eventually clashed with the police. The officers pushed them back. Galstanyan threatened the police chief: "You will answer with your head." Galstanyan wasn't happy that the foreign ministry leadership refused to meet him. The police warned him not to incite the crowd. He blamed the police for the incident.
Galstanyan was rousing the crowd before the clash. He accused the police of hooliganism and using insults, and urged his supporters to treat the police "like they treat you". He held the loudspeaker at the police and gestured for his followers to shout at them. The situation began to intensify. Some officers began slamming their batons against their shields but the commander signaled them to stop, and they did.
Galstanyan instructed his followers not to back down: "Do not take a step back... Our patience has limits." Galstanyan kept accusing the police of inciting things while the police stood there without taking action. The police spokesman also brought a loudspeaker and accused Galstanyan of being an agitator and inciting the crowd.
7 police officers and several protesters were hospitalized after the clash. 28 protesters were arrested and are facing charges.
During the evening speech, Galstanyan said he doesn't regret today's events and urged his followers to take action and get arrested if necessary:
GALSTANYAN: If you do not get arrested today by this government, tomorrow you will have to answer for that. //
Hanun Republic party chief Arman Babajanyan, a former churchman, said that Church leader Garegin B will be responsible for future clashes incited by his "imprudent son" Bagrat.
BABAJANYAN: I hope FM Mirzoyan and others won't meet this clown and won't interact with him. This movement has become an entertainment for media outlets in Turkey and Azerbaijan. //
REPORTER: The number of protesters is small. Is the protest fading?

Bagrat Galstanyan was nominated by the former regime as their candidate to replace PM Pashinyan. In response to observations that Galstanyan cannot be a PM because he must wait at least 4 years after ending his dual citizenship, Galstanyan's supporters say there are ways to bypass the restriction. For example, Serj-era Justice Minister Gevorg Danielyan claims there are no constitutional obstructions, while Galstanyan's supporter lawyer Arsen Babayan [Serj-era parliament official] suggests ignoring the Constitution altogether.
ARSEN BABAYAN: When the issue is to save the country, the Constitution and the law must be pushed to the background. This is very important. We cannot lose the country because of the law and the Constitution. Let's not forget that it's the people who decide how the Constitution should be. I want Galstanyan to be appointed as the PM and then amend the Constitution, not the other way around. //
RULING MP: The daily nonsense continues. In other words, Arsen Babayan admits that there is a legal obstruction but he wants that obstruction to be ignored and changed later.
REPORTER: ARF MP Garnik Danielyan says they have supporters in state agencies who are ready to join them when the time is right.
RULING MP: It doesn't matter what Danielyan says; he is just selling hope to his supporters.
REPORTER: Your administration failed to "clean up" the state agencies and carry out "lustration".
RULING MP: We promised after the 2018 revolution not to carry out a vendetta and to allow experts to stay in their positions. This is why so many employees with ties to former administrations continued to work and receive higher positions. It's another thing that they didn't understand and appreciate the opportunity to serve the state and not the government. Today the opposition is doing the [self-]lustration much better than we could have ever done.
Today the protest organizers are trying to bait the authorities to take certain actions against protesters so the organizers can present it as a valid reason to end the protests because they understand they have reached a dead end. The only thing they have accomplished is annoying the residents and obstructing their roads. //
The opposition doesn't have enough votes to initiate an impeachment process against Pashinyan, let alone succeed by securing a majority of votes. They are short of 1 vote to initiate the process. They are hoping to convince their former partyman Ishkhan Zakharyan to join the process but Zakharyan left their ranks a while ago to continue his service as an independent MP and doesn't seem to be eager to join the impeachment. On Friday Zakharyan was seen with Pashinyan's Chief of Staff Arayik Harutyunyan during the session of the Executive Committee of the Pan-Armenian Games. Zakharyan recently told protest leader Bagrat Galstanyan that he "doesn't reject" the impeachment process but there are no reports of him joining it either.
In other news. Bagrat Galstanyan's supporter Don Pipo, a criminal subculture figure wanted by Armenian authorities since 2022 for allegedly organizing a murder, is organizing groups of Russian-Armenians to travel to Armenia to join Galstanyan's protests.
In other news. The police announced the arrest of a protester who had a dispute and allegedly stabbed a fellow protester in the cheek and neck in the backyard of St. Anna church where Galstanyan regularly holds evening gatherings to announce the plan for the following day.

the Church owns hundreds of apartments that are not being taxed: ruling party MP

MP VARDANYAN: There needs to be a study to understand the volume so we can decide how to tax just as we tax other things under Armenia's law. //
The MP pulled out a phone with an Excel sheet reportedly displaying the list of properties owned by the Church and scrolled it for several pages to show it to the reporters.
MP VARDANYAN: There needs to be a study to understand how these properties are being used. The ones used for commercial purposes and manufacturing must pay taxes like everyone else does. This study is my personal initiative with a group of colleagues; it's not an official process yet.
REPORTER: When was this idea born?
MP VARDANYAN: We were discussing it some time ago and the conversation was revived after the recent public discourse about the Church and taxes. In the past, we discussed the import of raw paraffin under "charity" which was later re-categorized and today it's imported from EAEU. Perhaps all these discussions weren't interesting in the past while we were having it. Every citizen must pay taxes and no one should be above the law.

CUSTOMS CHIEF: I'm not aware of the details. We will provide taxation statistics if they request it. No requests have been made so far.
REPORTER: Is the Church paying taxes today?
CUSTOMS CHIEF: They have some employees engaged in commercial activities so they pay income tax from their paychecks. The law grants tax exemptions to the Church for the sale of certain ceremonial products, property tax, and various other exemptions.
REPORTER: Why were they granted those exemptions?
CUSTOMS CHIEF: For various reasons. If there are activities relating to religion it can have exemptions but it's necessary to understand what's religious and non-religious.
REPORTER: Why was the taxation brought up now?
CUSTOMS CHIEF: We've been discussing changes to the tax law with the Church for several years. We discussed the law on charity. We suggested that they make payments for imports of paraffin and tserezin. We offered to cover the full cost of import duties on those items but for some reason the Church refused. [Pashinyan said earlier that they offered the Church to improve its financial transparency by having them pay taxes and receive all of the paid taxes back.]
REPORTER: Why did the Church turn down the suggestion?
CUSTOMS CHIEF: I don't know the reason.
REPORTER: The MP said they are studying thousands of properties owned by the Church and that they might prepare a resolution.
CUSTOMS CHIEF: As I said, we are ready to cooperate by providing statistics if necessary.
REPORTER: What is your personal opinion on taxing the Church?
CUSTOMS CHIEF: Things with religious purposes should not be taxed but when you sell something and collect a profit, that's something we can discuss.
REPORTER: Can you bring an example?
CUSTOMS CHIEF: No problem when the Church receives a donation, but if the Church sells an item for profit, including candles, it should be taxed.
REPORTER: Have you already studied the volume of such sales?
CUSTOMS CHIEF: No.
REPORTER: Protest leader Galstanyan said businessman Hayk Shahnazaryan's business was investigated because of supporting him. Is this policy applied in the case of other businesses as well?
CUSTOMS CHIEF: You just presented misinformation as a fact. The individual you mentioned has been at the center of customs checks since 2023 and the same violation happened again so that was the reason for the latest action as well. There is always an attempt to manipulate the enforcement actions by distorting the timing of events. Today one of the MPs said that a supermarket belongs to a ranking police official and asked "why do you not investigate them?". I published the list of investigations against that supermarket, showing ֏10 million in fines imposed on them. These manipulations are common. Everything is a conspiracy, starting from the weather.

Serj Sargsyan and co-defendants, including the owner of Flash fuel company, were accused of conspiring to embezzle fuel meant for farmers. The case was brought almost 5 years ago. Some of the key witnesses died of natural causes and COVID during the process, which lasted for so long that all the defendants qualified for release under the statute of limitations even if they were found guilty. The court returned a not-guilty verdict on Friday. Prosecutors will appeal it, which means the case will be heard by the recently-formed Anti-Corruption Court of Appeal.

This is difficult to prevent since we don't have a giant concrete-metal wall on our borders. Since we didn't have professional devices with international standards to measure the signal strength, we couldn't contact the international union to ask them to require our neighbors to reduce the power of their towers located near Armenia. This is why the Rohde & Schwarz measuring radio-monitoring devices were acquired and I'm glad they are in Armenia now. Have you measured the signals and contacted the international body?
HIGH-TECH MINISTER Hayrapetyan: The issue requires multiple steps and owning the $1.3 million equipment alone won't solve the issue. The government decided to first understand where these signals are coming from and the clarity in Armenian frequencies. We are hiring more staff in Goris station. We have not yet launched the measuring process. We are still preparing the infrastructure and qualified staff. We are competing with the private sector to attract specialists.

(Just for reference I play a lot but very casually, mostly recruit captains I think look cool) 1: how do people get 7777 orcs, I see pages about being hacked and such? 2: I have someone named the tower, I saw something saying you can only have one in a play through but then there are pretenders. If the tower is in my garrison can orcs spawn with the armor? Or can more pretenders spawn naturally? 3: I like the more armor intensive looking orcs, is there a way to get them to spawn more? 4: I love the way the “machine” orc looks can more spawn or does it only happen once? 5:is there a method to getting three epic traits? 6: is there an epic decoys trait? The underground system of catacombs, old World War Two bomb shelters, and aqueducts echoed with the rumble of voices. Aldo Riganelli rushed towards the sound, determination in his eyes and the old Italian anthem playing in his mind.
He couldn't believe it. It was happening, the liberation of Italy– and within his lifetime, too! Aldo believed that, in the best of cases, Alfheim would have tightened the noose around Italy, annexing the peninsula. And at worst, his lands would have been occupied by the Japanese and subjected to an even harsher rule after a devastating war.
Well, the last part happened, partially, he thought. But the details didn't matter to him now. All he cared about was seeing his country free. Aldo entered a narrow hallway, at the end of which one large man stood on guard.
“I'm Aldo!” he said, “I’m with you.”

Before the guard could finish his sentence, Aldo immediately replied: “Garibaldi.”
The guard promptly raised his hands and moved out of the way. “Oh ok, come on in then.”
Aldo found himself in a large, if somewhat empty room. A table had been brought in, alongside some chairs and a whole bunch of documents, papers, and more. Sitting at the table were many of his colleagues. Men, women and anything in-between who, much like Aldo, all “worked” for the Oligarchy. Yet, since they were all there, those ministers and interns were anything but loyal. Indeed, they were all gathered for one thing.

“You're late, Aldo,” said one of the ministers there. Angela Furini, who had been working as Minister of External Affairs, yet had found nothing but disappointment as her office was practically overshadowed and ignored by the Oligarchy, who were focused on “handling the internal chaos of Italy”.
“It won't happen again,” replied Aldo, taking an empty seat at the table. “So… what were you all talking about again?”
“Oh, nothing much. Just the very simple and irrelevant discussion of who's gonna lead each ministry.” The sarcasm and annoyance in Angela's voice was palpable.
“W-well… You're already Minister of External Affairs so that one's settled.” Aldo chuckled. He really was late. Part of him wanted to just bury his head in his arms/ but he resisted the urge. “Who else is there?”
“The ‘Regent’, who'll hold the position until we can organize elections, is Mario de Gregori over there…” Angela pointed to a man sitting on the far end of the table, a short man with olive skin and a beard.
“Then,” she continued, “Giordano Miglio is Minister of Agriculture, Franco Pausini is Minister of Infrastructure… you would be a good Minister of Internal Affairs.”
“Hmm…”
Aldo thought about it for a moment. Originally he was aspiring to become Regent, but he knew he wasn't going to be a popular option so it was a pipe dream. He would have liked to become Minister of Infrastructure, due to his experience in Urban Planning, but Minister of Internal Affairs was an adjacent position, so he could make it work.
“I accept,” he said.
“Good,” said Mario de Gregori from his end of the table, “ I guess that leaves only the position of Minister of Defence empty. Are there any volunteers?”
“There is one.”
The reply came from a voice so deep it made Aldo skip a beat. Loud footsteps echoed across the catacombs, as the source of the voice revealed itself, entering the room.
Aldo could not believe his eyes. He was staring at a giant– no, a mountain. A man in military uniform, so tall and large he towered above everyone in the room, including the guard in the hallway. For a moment, it was like gazing upon a god-turned-man, such was his stature.
The man had a prosthetic left arm, which he put on full-display, uncaring about the judgment of others. Yet, the sighting of prosthetics was not a rare occurrence in Italy by now. No, the most significant feature of the giant was the enormous red scar on the right-side of the face, with his eye covered by an eye-patch.
Aldo had only ever heard of him, yet, in that moment, he had no doubts: that was the man who would lead the Coup against the Oligarchy. Brigadier General Ettore de Angelis.

Vittorio had never been a particularly strong drinker, but he didn't particularly care. Tomorrow he was gonna suffer from history's worst hangover, sure, but this wine was just so good, he couldn't stop. Besides, what was he going to do tomorrow?
The Oligarchs had ordered his unit to move south, towards Messina, but the commander had refused to follow the order and Vittorio sure as hell wasn't going to obey them himself.
Certainly not while his tank was still being repaired.
He both loved and hated that thing. Driving the LuWa made him feel powerful and unstoppable, yet whenever it broke down it was always a nightmare to repair. It was like a curse: the tank’s transmission would break and the engineers would try to fix it. As soon as they did, the tank’s engine wouldn't start. And so, repairing the tank always took double the time it normally should. What was even more curious, was the fact that no other tank in his unit had this problem. It was both hilarious and incredibly frustrating.
Suddenly, a fellow soldier walked in front of him, and placed a small piece of paper on the bench he was sitting at. Then, he quickly walked away.
“H-hey!” Vittorio yelled,”What… what's this?”
Vittorio grabbed the small note and, reading it, it all became clear. A huge smile formed on his face, as he read the last words of the message.

Springfield Desert Park has a new feature: the Devil’s Oasis. While Springfield’s dedicated churchgoers disapprove, Lisa sees an exciting opportunity to study rare desert chameleons for next year’s science fair. After convincing the rest of the family to take a vacation in the desert, the Simpsons become stranded out in the lonely sands after Homer’s donuts (the driving a car in circles kind, not the edible or spendable kind) leave their car broken down and unable to be towed. To return to their home in Springfield, the Simpsons embark on an odyssey across the desert, encountering an off-kilter artist making sculptures out of junk, a pretentious culture festival, casino hotel mirages, and a family of cactus people. Having lost all hope and ready to give up, the family is led to salvation by a parade of chameleons who guide them to…God? No, Ned Flanders! Eh, close enough. At least Lisa’s science project is going to be really interesting.

I used to play a game where the player has 4 characters, basically dogs with weapons. You just have to deploy them and watch the mayhem. I don't know if it's a Tower Defence game or not. I just remember the gameplay and the 4 characters. Also, one character has sniper, other dogs also have guns and grenades.
If anyone knows anything about the game please let me know :)

I dropped to the ground and gathered up my brass, then headed over to one of the smaller wolf carcasses. “You have any preference on how I [Dissemble] these guys? Are they any good to eat?”
Another strange look. “The meat has a strong smell, but is very tasty in a stew and provides good experience.” She looked around at all the carcasses. “It is a shame that most of this will go to waste.”
“Not if I can help it,” I said, triggering standard disassembly on the wolf and watching it dissolve into blue sparks.

Delilah was watching me process wolves like I was a talking snake.
Something about me mentioning I was a psychic upset her, so maybe psychic was a bad choice of career paths? Is it a Delilah thing, an Elf thing, or is it an everyone thing?
“Help me out here, Delilah,” I said, picking up another small blue mana stone and moving to the next carcass. “You seem upset and I really don’t have a clue why.”
She remained silent and turned back to hacking at the neck of Mrs. Chewie Face.
I pushed the matter to the back of my mind and disassembled the remaining wolves. She would talk when she wanted and pushing the issue wouldn’t solve anything.
Half an hour later I had 226 lbs of wolf meat, 14 small blue mana stones, 4 small white mana stones, 36 wolf fangs, and 18 wolf pelts, and I noticed that selecting the “Valuable” disassembly option increased the condition of the pelts from ’normal’ to ‘good’ with ‘excellent’ popping up on a couple. I guess sacrificing everything else for pelt, fangs, and mana stone makes a difference? I only collected the meat from four wolves, because didn’t want to ruin more pelts than necessary crafting ‘wolf bags’ to hold the meat. I roughly wrapped up the pelts with twine and dropped them into inventory. Five vanished into blue sparks with no trouble.

Well, shit. What’s my weight limit? I did some mental guesstimation and came up with about 640lbs. The total amount of ‘memory’ I had. Looks like my dream of becoming a one man cargo service just got axed, especially if I buy more skills or classes. I also managed to convert a bit over 5000 mana into credits for me, putting me at 5730. With my Battery sitting at 62% I was tired and could use a good meal and a soft bed.
Shit. My spit roasted rabbit is probably charcoal by now.
I wandered out of the ruined stable and over to where Delilah had finished carving a new hole in the back of Mrs. Chewie’s neck. My auric vision showed her glowing like a goddess, surrounded by blue and black motes from the decaying carcass. She had carved out one of the neck vertebra and was sitting with her back against the wolf, playing with it in her gore covered hands. Yeah… that’s not disturbing at all, it it?
“Whatcha doing?” I asked.
She glanced up at me, complex emotions playing across her features. “Carving a totem for her spirit to reside in.”
I watched as she seemed to mould the bone with her fingers, twisting and shaping, adding detail with her fingernails. She was done just as the sky was turning that deep, bruised purple colour that heralded the immediacy of night. Rising to her feet, she clutched the palm sized wolf totem in her left hand and placed her right against the huge beast that nearly chewed my face off.
As she began to chant in a low voice, I watched the blue sparks drifting from the corpse swirl and shift, accelerating into a vortex that twisted and flowed into the totem she held. The corpse vanished in an explosion of motes which were drawn into the totem like a magnet. Moments later, nothing remained of the wolf but a small black stone.
“That was beautiful.” I whispered, overcome with the feeling that I had just watched some sacred ceremony. I cleared my throat.
Delilah picked up the black manastone and placed it in a pouch at her waist, then turned to me. “Psychics are feared, Vinnie” she said, and paused to collect her words. “Maybe fear is too strong. Mistrusted. They are not mages, but perform magic. They can read your thoughts, change your thoughts. Even possess your body like a powerful spirit. The fact that you announce yourself as a psychic scares me more than if you were a mage.”
“What do you mean, being scared of mages?” I asked, furrowing my brows at her words. “Aren’t you a mage?”
She shook her head. “I am a summoner. I use mana provided by the Goddess Llewellen to work my magic. Human mages get their mana from their wizard towers that broadcast mana. Licensed mages that are powerful beyond words.”
Mana broadcasting towers? I really don’t know anything about this world, do I?
Blowing out a heavy sigh, I said “Look, I’m a traveller from a distant land who’s gotten himself lost. I could really use some information about this worl…country, and stuff. I was making camp and getting ready to eat some dinner when you came flying by, so why don’t we head back there and get some dinner, and maybe you can tell me a bit about this place?”

Hey, need help, something happened to my fallout and im not sure if its my mods or new updates or something else breaking my game.. so, basically, I get random GPU spikes to 100percent and then game crashes to desktop. This was not a bignissue before, but now I can only play for less than a minute before my GPU spikes and game is turned off.. this happens a bit less in settlements or small areas, i can sometimes even get like 20mijutes of settlement building before crash, but whenever something happens in game or inam in an open wasteland (especially near glowing sea), I only have a few seconds to play... i have seen some others with the sikilar gpu spike issue, butbhavent seen a solution yet, so hopefully someone can help, since its getting frustrating.. I love the game, but since i want to play with mods, i spent more time trying to fix the game than actually playing...
