Lcm-22w3 driver

My 16:10 monitor is suddenly only supporting lower resolutions.

2018.11.11 08:11 Darkbeetlebot My 16:10 monitor is suddenly only supporting lower resolutions.

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit (6.0, build 6002) CPU: Intel Core i7 870 2.93GHz GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 Windforce OC, 6GB RAM: 8 Gigs
I'm using a Westinghouse LCM-22w3, a 22" widescreen monitor that's supposed to support up to 1680x1050 res. Now, for the past few months that I've been running this thing, it has worked perfectly fine at 1440x900, my personal preference. However, I started up my computer a couple days ago to notice that the monitor said it was out of range. I unplugged it and plugged it back in a few times, and it went back to normal. The next day the same thing happens, but this time I had to go into the setup menu and allow low res startup for it to show anything. So I go into the personalization settings and notice that all of my widescreen resolutions are either gone or somehow become stretched and blurred when I try to display them. It now thinks that the monitor's native res is 1280x1024 and refuses to go any higher.
It gets the graphics card right in the settings, but it also seems to think I have 4 monitors when I only have the one. It lists the other 3 as (Default Monitor) and this one as a Generic PnP. I checked the card's driver, and its the most up-to-date one I can get before they stop supporting vista (372.70). I have had no problems with this driver over the past year I've been using it. I also had to hook it up with an HDMI-to-VGA adapter since the monitor has no HDMI port.
I have performed a cursory search on google and can't find any drivers for this monitor. This one has also been having problems since I got it. Namely, the monitor takes a very long time to actually come on, and rarely flickers off for a second. Thus, I'm beginning to think it is a connectivity issue, because my previous monitor did not have these issues and worked for almost a decade without problems.
So all the drivers seem up to date, I've tried plugging and unplugging, cleaning the VGA cable, trying different cords, and trying (failing) to find the monitor's drivers. I get that I probably won't get the full res with analog, but I just want my old res that WAS working back. Otherwise I'll be stuck using a 4:3 res with Maintain Aspect Ratio on and having to deal with two annoying black bars on the sides. And on 1280x800, which it should support, it has black bars on the top and bottom. How do I fix this?

2016.10.18 13:24 makeshift_euphoria Fullscreen results in hard crash requiring reset, but Windowed mode works fine

I've been having this problem with a few games. Borderless windowed works fine, but as soon as I select fullscreen, the screen goes black and is completely unrecoverable. I'm forced to reset the computer every time.
So far, this has happened in 3 games: Witcher 3, FFXIV Realm Reborn, and now Battlefield 1.
Interestingly, FFXIV only crashes in DirectX 11 mode, it runs fine fullscreen in DirectX 9 mode. But I've played plenty of DirectX 11 only games with no problems, it's only the 3 I listed that have this fullscreen crash.
I've resided to borderless windowed in Witcher 3 and Battlefield 1, and DirectX 9 mode in FFXIV, but I'd really like to find out what is causing this problem so I can play in fullscreen again. I've tried uninstalling the display drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller and then re-installing many times, no dice.
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated :)
Some specs:
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, latest 373.06 drivers
CPU: i7 6700k
MOBO: MSI Gaming M5
My monitor is a fairly old "Westinghouse LCM-22W3", in case that might have something to do with it. Windows lists it as a "Generic PnP Monitor" in Device Manager.

2015.03.08 23:33 aaronts9 Secondary Monitor not working on desktop

So yesterday I was cleaning my room and decided to open up my desktop and vacuum out some of the dust that's accumulated around the motherboard and fans.
Both my monitors were working fine until I replugged in everything. Now, my second monitor has "no signal input". Both are connected to my desktop by DVI cables.
Here are some troubleshooting steps I took to try and diagnose/solve the problem:
  1. Switched the DVI cables around on the GPU ports. In one configuration, windows only sees 1 monitor in display settings. In the current configuration, it sees both but when I boot up, there is no image on the second monitor.
  2. Updated all Nvidia drivers, no luck.
  3. Turned secondary monitor on and off. It powers on with a green light, then turns orange and displays "no signal input."
I also notice that on boot up, there is no splash page from the BIOS/motherboard like there was before I cleaned my desktop. On top of that, when I unplug the secondary monitor from the wall socket, I notice it's power light doesn't go out immediately. I've read a little bit about these westinghouse monitors online and some people have said something about faulty capacitors (which if i understand correctly, hold charge) and might cause this.
tl;dr secondary monitor doesn't work; tried switching input cables, tried power cycling, tried driver update, to no avail.
any ideas would be SO HUGELY APPRECIATED! thank you in advance reddit!

2011.07.30 06:24 Inspector_Jones Monitor Problems.

First of all, my monitor, a Westinghouse LCM-22W3 finally went up and died on me. With some help, I managed to replace the capacitors on the board and now my monitor is fully working again, with one tiny problem.
Windows is now detecting my monitor, which I believe displayed previously as a generic plug and play monitor, as an Acer whatever model number here. I don't think replacing the capacitors caused this, because before I replaced them I had hooked up a second monitor and saw that windows still recognized my monitor, even though nothing displayed on the screen, as an Acer. I tried using a different cord to plug in, and I tried a system restore to a few days back, and I tried going into device manager and uninstalling my ATI Drivers.
I posted this in tech support sub-reddit as well, so hopefully someone can help.
