1. Asylum - stellar acting, genuinely scary location, shocking moments and twists
   
2. Coven - scary and camp done well, with an iconic cast (Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, etc!)
   
3. Apocalypse - a fun crossover with new energy. Leslie Grossman and Cody Fern stood out to me this season
   
4. Roanoke - the first very jumpy season in a while and a close return to form imo (albeit I’m still not sure how I feel about the show within a show twist - it changes). Adina Porter was excellent
   
5. 1984 - fun and campy, if a little unevenly paced. Billie Lourd was great
   
6. Freakshow - scary and had some depth, but left me feeling uncomfortable. It felt like Jessica Lange was being typecast despite her great talent. Finn Wittrock and Frances Conroy were epic
   

These are my consistent top 6, but it was harder for me to rank the other seasons as I have a similar (or at least comparable) level of enthusiasm for a lot of them. But, right now…

1. Red Tide - to me, this felt like a strange season that didn’t seem to go anywhere for a while, but praise to Finn Wittrock and Lily Rabe (they’re the only reason this season is ranked higher than others). Macauley Culkin was a fun addition
   
2. Cult - Sarah Paulson was great but I thought the material was weak. It felt like the season was mostly just her in a house being scared. I think so much more could’ve been done with the theme
   
3. Hotel - style over substance and the beginning of the decline for me. Praise to Chloe Sevigny, Sarah Paulson and Denis O’Hare though
   
4. Death Valley - I found the season very confusing and out there, but I appreciated the show really thinking outside the box. Sarah Paulson and Cody Fern were great
   
5. Murder House - I tried to like it, as I know it’s a fan favourite, but I found myself feeling more bored, depressed and unsettled by it than spooked and entertained
   
6. NYC - I got bored of frivolous scenes, and it took a while for the storyline to get going, imo. Charlie Carver brought some good wholesome energy though
   
7. Delicate - Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian were great, but the writing (Kim’s lines appeared to have been written to go viral) and pacing didn’t work for me and the ending felt peculiar and abrupt. I think the supporting cast was so underused too. I’m surprised Leslie Grossman agreed to play the minor role she did

The Leo Fitzpatrick character preying on younger girls was disturbing and disgusting. From the start, you see he's a pervert because he's obsessed with sex. The Justin Pierce character appears to be the more rational one until the last scene which I found contrived and gratuitous.
Some parts are cringy and come off as more of a fantasy from the director, young girls talking about swallowing semen?
The subplot I liked the most was Chloe Sevigny's, the girl who finds out she's HIV positive and goes searching for her ex, the Leo Fitzpatrick character, who's having unprotected sex with every girl he comes across.
