Okay so I really wanted to rewatch it all for quite some time and always failed to convince my bf to watch it with me 🙄😂. basically he hates medieval „horse“ series (how he calls it) and all that fake stuff (dragons, robots, aliens, you name it). BUT what gives me hope is that he did watch harry potter with me and quite liked it, although he didnt like LOTR (only watched like 30 minutes tho). now i‘m hoping the first episode convinces him enough to keep watching 😬😬 wish me luck!! anyone in here who was super sceptical at first as well but ended up getting hooked from the first episode on?

Hihi! I’m desu! To jump into the meat of it, here’s a few things about me and what I’m looking for!
All characters and writers 18+! No exceptions!

• I have weird schedule! Yes, a super weird one. Most of my downtime to write is scattered throughout the entire 24 hours of the day. I work nights so on good nights I can write a LOT. My next big open slot is in the mornings (7-10am Central American time), one small slot in the afternoon (3-5pm Central American time), as well as the entirety of 10:30pm-6:30am central if work is merciful.
  
• I also have a busy life! That doesn’t mean I won’t put my best foot forward to reply to you though! I love ooc chit chats and banter. I’ll quickly reply ooc even if I have no time to reply to a big big post. I have two kids, a spouse and a full time job. Sometimes it’s hard. Also, I rarely write on the weekends!
  
• Fandoms & OC’s only! As much as I really enjoy the thought of world building, I don’t have a whole lot of bandwidth set side for it. Would I do a pure homebrew? Maybe. You would have to have a lot of it set in stone so I could lean on it. It takes a lot for my to work myself up and write into one.
  
• Lit to Novella! I write big hunky blocks of stuff! I write anywhere from 2 paragraphs to the message limit. My average is about 4 good sized paragraphs. This is something I will not compromise on!
  
• Comfortable playing any role! Male? Female? Villain? Good guy? Anti-hero? I’m down as long as there is a basis to the plot and a story or goal to follow! My password is citrus for the messages in my DM’s!
  
• Topics and settings? Sure! My weakness is high fantasy. I love high fantasy and similar settings of any kind. I’ll almost never turn down a chance to write though. Romance, sci-fi, modern, historical, anything. High fantasy is definitely my favorite but I’ll try anything with anyone once.
  

So, for fandoms, some I'm comfortable completely leading a campaign in and others I would need varying levels of help.

• The fandoms I really want are Fire Emblem 3H, Naruto and The Elder Scroll
  
• Fandom's I'm comfortable taking the entire lead in if needed: World of Warcraft, FFXIV, New World, Pokemon, V Rising/Generic Vampire RP, Avatar the Last Airbender (All time periods), Demon Slayer
  
• Fandom's I'm interested and mildly experienced in but would need a little help with crafting a story: Bleach, Soul Eater, Jujutsu Kaisen, , Monster Hunter, Soul Caliber, Conan the Barbarian/Conan Exiles, Black Desert Online

I need your help.
I’m thinking of starting a monthly FanFiction Crossover Challenge, where I spin two wheels and make a story based on the resulting categories. For example, if I spun Harry Potter and James Bond, I’d write a story based on that.
I’m looking for popular FanFiction stories to include on the two wheels. Please can you give me some ideas?

I know a lot of people think the genre isn't that important, but I do want to target agents who can make my book the smash hit overnight bestseller it deserves to be, and to do that I need to figure out the genre. A lot of agents are only interested in certain genres, so I want to get as close as I can to finding the right fit. The right fit = best chance at a yes. My problem is that I have no idea anymore. I'd like to simply say it's erotica. But it alternates chapters. Some are on Earth, present time, nothing extraordinary, and then some are on an alien planet, futuristic, dystopian, some messed up 💩 going on, zombies, dragons, magic schools, superheroes, a murder mystery, and the omegaverse? Its really hard to say. So do I base the final genre on those chapters or the entire book. Which would make it a mix? And how do I know which of those fitting genres is the one to fall back on as a whole. Think along the lines of heaven & hell, life and afterlife, humans and aliens, earth and unknown planets, capitalism and communism, LGBTQ and normal. But the issue is that it's not entirely clear which is which, who is who. I mean it is to me, but not to the reader until things are being revealed. It's just frustrating that I'm stressing over GENRE more than plot or writing. It'd be great if I could find an agent who's been looking for a book that falls under all of these categories but that's already been done in Harry Potter so I'm not sure if they'd be willing to take on another one.
I know my book is sounding confusing as all hell but I swear everything comes together and makes sense 🤣

Hey I’m Robbie I’m 25 so I ask my RP partners to be 18+ . I’m a lit to adv lit writer so I as that you be around the same . If you do more I will try and match your length as it’s only fair . I’m looking for a RP based in the Harry Potter series, I ran a DND game for some friends last year and I think it would work well as roleplay. I’ll put a bit of info below to give you the general idea . I’m also happy to hear your ideas for a plot and hopefully we could work both together. A dark gloom seems to fall over the castle as students have started to get ill . No one could come up with a reason not the teachers, the hospital wing or even St.mungos . The only thing noticeable is only muggleborn and half-blood students are the ones getting ill . After a weekend all the whispers are of missing student . Hufflepuff prefect Jacob Kingsley has gone missing , after asking around the group find the last people to be seen with Jacob and the investigation begins. I’m also a big Star Wars fan so would be happy to make a Star Wars plot with you too !

I’ve always related to Harry Potter in the sense that I considered school to be my real home, and that’s only gotten stronger now that I’m going to college. My family moved to Canada soon after I went to the U.S. for college, so I don’t even have a permanent residence anymore, let alone a ‘home.’
It’s easy to forget how much that actually messes with my head until school breaks come up. I hear all my friends talk about how excited they are to go home, see their friends, play with their pets, sleep in their own beds, etc. Meanwhile, I’m preparing to feel like a guest in my own family’s place for 3 months.
To make matters worse, I can’t even do the whole ‘home is where you family is’ thing because my family is highly dysfunctional and the source of many of my mental health issues. I dread having to spend extended periods of time with them, and they don’t even act happy to see me.
The closest thing to a real ‘home’ that I have is college, because that’s where my friends are. Unfortunately, my friends all have real homes that they want to get back to. Leaving me all alone.

Basically, I’m a girl in my early 20’s and for some reason I just don’t like reading fiction, and I never have. I mostly just read personal development books but also books about psychology or business. or just random non-fiction books.
I can finish a non-fiction book in the matter of days but it takes me months to get through a fictional story. Which is the complete opposite of the current trend, when I observe people my age on BookTok as well as my friends in real life. They all like fiction and don’t like non-fiction.
I truly want to enjoy fiction bc the way my friends are always soo obsessed and in love with new books and characters and get so excited about books seems really fun. But idk what it is, I just don’t enjoy it.
And I’ve tried. I own all the popular BookTok books there are, but I did not finish most of them, I forced myself to finish some of them but I just kept skimming through and couldn’t wait for the book to be over. I don’t like regular romance, but I dislike ¿romantasy? even more, which is the most popular genre with my friends. I just simply can’t make myself care about a made-up stories of someone’s life. I just simply do not care.
And with fantasy it’s even worse. I’ve never liked fantasy even as a kid. When everyone was obsessed with Harry Potter when I was a kid, I didn’t get it. I started liking Harry Potter after I have watched the movies. The same with romance - I love watching romance movies but I can’t get through romance books.
Idk if this is something that can be changed, if I could somehow learn to like fictional books. But I want to try everything to enjoy it so that’s why I’m asking here. Maybe it’s a ridiculous question but idk what to do.
Those of you who enjoy reading fiction, do you have any tips on how can I enjoy it too?

Basically Harry ends up being abandoned in Japan and ends up adopted by Goku and Chi Chi. Meanwhile Lily Potter divorces James who sent Harry away as Dumbledor messed up and declared Harry's twin The Boy Who Lived in error, this lead to James shunning Harry and spoiling his twin worse than even Dudley was in cannon.
During Harry's childhood he trains as best he could despite being only a wizard and could spar on semi equal footing to Yamcha. Sadly Chi Chi ended up dying in such a way that the dragon balls couldn't be used to bring her back.
Flash forwards to the Cell Saga and one of the wishes used after the battle was for Harry to be a Saiyan like his adopted father and brothers. Soon after Harry ends up in Hogwarts due to the Goblet of fire and predictably freaks out and causes a LOT of damage trying to escape before Lily calms him down. Soon after Goku arrives with Vageta tagging along to see what the brat he had been training went.
What follows is the result of the wizarding world severely underestimating Saiyans. Hermione starts off as a bit of a brat in no small part due to lies told by James Potter and Harry's twin but quickly finds out the truth and turns her back on the spoiled brat.
2 pairings I remember off the top of my head for this are Goku/Lily and Harry/Hermione.

Dostoyevsky is interested in realism, but Tolkien is, in this section, explicitly discussing things like escapism.
I find RoP with all its ups-and-downs, the wrinkles and warts, real or perceived, a wonderful piece of escapism. I can overlook things that apparently other people find off-putting.

While out for a coffee, my sister posed the most important question of all; ''If you could be a part of any fictional world, which one would it be?'' Without any thought, I immediately said the Harry PotteHogwarts Legacy universe. As a result, I've now been left with the itch that I just need to scratch. Thus, I've come to you- or Reddit rather, in search of someone who's sharing the same passion and enthusiasm about roleplaying in such a world/setting.
But first things first, some things about me;
My name is Vyra, and I've been roleplaying for over 8 years. I'm 21 years of age and my role-play style varies from lit to novella, 3rd person. I like to return in the same fashion that I receive.
Some 'requirements' if you will;
• Be over the age of 18. I'm not one to shy away from more mature topics along with depictions of those topics in a more graphic/gory manner, and I expect the same. Along with a basic level of human decency and common sense from my rp partner.
• The rp will happen over Discord. This will be am OC x OC roleplay, with me doubling as side characters (such as faculty members, other students, the bad guys) to get the roleplay going.
• Communication. I work every single day, so this is my only outlet at the moment. Life gets busy, I get it, but I do ask that you do not reach out about this if you're gonna get cold feet mid roleplay. I wanna do this long term with someone who's willing to commit and be open to communication.
• Have the same style of roleplay. As in, past tense, 3rd person. I'm not expecting a novel, but I'd like a bare minimum of nicely fledged paragraphs.
• I would like to have a a romance subplot between the characters, especially if there's an interesting dynamic. I'm comfortable with MxF pairings, with me roleplaying as the F.
That's about it I think.

One more thing is, I kind of have a plot in mind, but it is not fully fledged out. I do have some ideas that I'd like to bring to the table. I think the Harry Potter movies are one of the best book to movie adaptations of all time. Of course, they had to cut things out and some of those things we dearly miss (e.g. Peeves, Ginny having a personality, etc.) But all in all, I think they did a phenomenal job in deciding what to cut, what to keep, what to add. I’m interested in both fandom and original role plays! Here are the fandoms I’ll do, the characters I’ll write as, and some basic ideas I’ve had.
Supernatural: Dean Winchester
-Dean takes your character under his wing and teaches them how to hunt like a Winchester. They fall in love along the way.
Harry Potter: Severus Snape
-Maybe your character is in their last year at Hogwarts (legal adult) and has an attraction to their professor. How will Voldemort react when he discovers that Snape feels the same way? Snape will do his best to protect her.
Helluva Boss: Blitzø, Stolas
-Blitzø and Stolas are in love. I’d play one and you’d play the other. Maybe we could start during their full moon deal? Or maybe when Stolas gives Blitzø the crystal?
The original genres I’m interested in are romance (I need this in every role play), SOL, fantasy, sci-fi, post-apocalyptic, and supernatural. Here are some basic premises I’ve thought of for each of them. Of course we can collaborate on our actual plot, these are just suggestions to get the gears turning.
SOL: There are so many possibilities! Your character meets a handsome billionaire who wants to shower her in his wealth? Our characters meet when they’re trapped in a snowed in ski lodge? A bartender and her favorite customer? We can go practically anywhere with this!
Fantasy: For this we could do anything from a classic arranged marriage to a quest across the kingdoms. We could throw in a little enemies to lovers or even a kidnapped princess.
Sci-Fi: I’d love to do something inspired by Ice Planet Barbarians (but you don’t have to know anything about that, it’s just the general idea). Something where the human crash lands on the alien’s planet. Maybe at first there’s a language barrier. And they have to figure out each other’s different customs and ways of life, all while the human is amazed at the brand new planet.
Post-Apocalyptic: My characters are always really protective, and he’d love to protect your character in a zombie apocalypse (or something similar). It could be a return to basics. He’d have to protect and provide for your character in such a primal way as they survive the new way of the world together.
Supernatural: I’m a sucker for fated mates and everything that goes along with that. This could involved one or both characters being supernatural creatures like werewolves. Alphas and omegas are my bread and butter.

I’m interested in both fandom and original role plays! Here are the fandoms I’ll do, the characters I’ll write as, and some basic ideas I’ve had.
Supernatural: Dean Winchester
-Dean takes your character under his wing and teaches them how to hunt like a Winchester. They fall in love along the way.
Harry Potter: Severus Snape
-Maybe your character is in their last year at Hogwarts (18+) and has an attraction to their professor. How will Voldemort react when he discovers that Snape feels the same way? Snape will do his best to protect her.
Helluva Boss: Blitzø, Stolas
-Blitzø and Stolas are in love. I’d play one and you’d play the other. Maybe we could start during their full moon deal? Or maybe when Stolas gives Blitzø the crystal?
