Fragments of chapter 2:
Naruto put on his usual orange jumpsuit he wore and Kichiro would wrap around hos neck like a little scarf. No one would notice as it was usually chilly this time of the year. Now Naruto made his way downstairs to head out the door. He passed his family along with Jiraya and Tsunade who was having breakfast, Kushina called out. "Naru-chan? Where are you going?". Naruto turned around to see the whole family look at him in confusion but Menma just glared at him. "Its your siblings birthday breakfast! You should be eating and spending time with them" Minato said with a smile which pissed Naruto off heavily.
"You do realize that it's not just their birthday, don't you? It's also my birthday as well...." Naruto said, clenching his teeth in anger. The whole family minus Naruko and Menma was shocked to the core. They forgot all about Naruto. They were so focused on the Naruko and Menma that Naruto wasn't even a thought. "S-Sure we did, Sochi! We planned of giving Naruko a birthday breakfast, Menma a birthday lunch and you a birthday dinner!" Kushina said with Minato going along with her. Naruto watched all of them in their faces and spoke. "I'm not a dumbass you know. You pulled that out of your ass so fast, you digested the alphabet and shat out that piece of fuckery you called an idea!" Naruto said, heading out the door while hearing Tsunade open her mouth.
"You brat! Apologize to your parents! That was uncalled for!" She yelled. Naruto just scoffed as he left, not opting to stay and hear his mother sniffles and sobbs. Just how bad did they mess this up? Meanwhile, Naruto quickly makes it to his favorite training grounds, the Forest of Death. Once they got their, Kichiro hopped off Naruto's shoulders and landed in front of him. "Okay Naruto! Whats up now?" Kichiro asked. Naruto smiled in glee as he but his finger. "Time to work on my Kenjutsu..... Summoning Jutsu!" He shouted out and slammed his hand on the ground to summon Takeo. The fox itself smiled evily at the
two. "Get ready for your daily tortue routine!" That caused Naruto to
cringe.
"Here! Take this!" Takeo unsealed a wooden sword from his scroll he pulled out and threw it at Naruto. "A bokken? Why not a real sword?". Takeo raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you stupid? When growing up. before knowing how to walk, did you start trying to run and ride bikes and climb trees?". After seeing the blonde shake his head, he spoke. "Then You will have to learn to fight with this before you even think if touching a real sword, kit. Now, let me teach you the katas!" Takeo said es Naruto started training with the bokken without second thought
while Kichiro watched for a few hours
Alter that though, Takeo stopped. "Someone is coming, Naruto. It was a short session so I'll make sure to double your training next we meet Takeo said as he disappeared, only getting Naruto to shake in uncomfortabile, Naruto sighed as Kichiro jumped on his shoulders and Naruto tied the bokken to his shoulders which was the time Two ANBLU came to him. One was a weasle and the other was a dog and the latter spoke "Namikaze-sama, Hokage-sama has requested your presence at the Uzumaki-Namikaze residence.... Naruto frowned. 'Whats this about? They never tried this before? I'm getting a bad feeling from this. Kurama, "Me too kit.....but go anyway! Your "father" has already called for you' Kurama growled.
Naruto sighed as he spoke. "I'll be there" he said as he began to move. "We'll take you there immediately Weasel said as he put a hand on Naruto's shoulder and the three Shunshin to make it in front of the Hokage's mansion which was full of villagers and clans members of Konoha. He sighed as the meade his way through the villagers but once he made his way to the front door to enter, a tipsy villagee stopped him. "Hey!! Y-You're that brat... the N-amikaze ghost c-child!" He said getting a few people attention. Naruto started to grit his teeth. "Yes, that is me What of it, are you going to stop me from entering my own home?" He
said in distain, having to call this place his home.
"Are Y-You threatening me?! You little shit" "Are threatening the
Hokage-sama's son? That is at least punishable by treason!" Weasle
said with an edge. "N-N-No sir 1-1-1 apologize the villagee said as he
drunkily moved aside to allow them to pass. Naruto frowned as he
made his way inside the house with Weasle and Dog following. "You did
not have to do that, ANBU-san. I had it under control". "Be that as
may, Namikaze-sama, I must assure your safety no mattee the cost he
said as they made it into the living area where mostly everyone was.
"Naruto! You little gremlin! Where have you been?!" Kushina said while
Naruko and Menma were behind her.
"I was out training. Thats why I was so late" he respond "Ha! You? Training? Oh please, idiot! You couldn't even throw a Kunai right yet you're training?! Leave it to the professionals, loser" Menma insulted causing the whole party to laugh. Naruto just watched him in an uncaring attitude. To hirn, Menma was a dumbass. Nothing more, nothing less. "Come one Nii-san! Let's open our presents!" Naruko said grabbing Naruto's hand to pull him but Naruto ripped it away. "What presents? You two have presents, /don't. Go ahead an open them, I don't care anymore...." He said looking to the side. The room went silent. They also had forgotten about Naruto but vowed to themselves they would buy or whip up something later, feeling utterly bad about the poor boy.
As Naruko and Menma moved to the table where a pile of presents were, Naruto was being harassed by the villagers and smaller clans that wish the boy a happy birthday and promises of presents from them soon. Naruto knew why they did that, it was to get in better graces with his parents so he just told them to stop with the promises and the leave him the hell alone. Menma and Naruko were just bursting their gifts with glee and obtained new awesome stuff like Kunai, shuriken, etc. Then The godparents came up next with big scrolls.
"Menma, I want you to sign the Toad sammoning scroll, you'll be training under them from here on out!" He said. Tsunade went to Naruko. "And You, Naruko-chan, you will sign the Stug contract and train under them!". The two grinned like idiots and signed the scroll with glee with Naruto watching them. "Heh! You know, if you hadn't given me the fox summoning contract, I'd be rather jealous, ya know he said to the fox, I know, you're welcome kit! Kurama said. "Umm...could. Nii-san sign it too?". Jiraya and Tsunade both widened their eyes in shock. Oh crap/forgot about Naruto! If he signs the Toad/Slug contract, I can hold this over Tsunade's/Jiraya's head for a while! They both thought.
"Yeah sure!" They both said as they raced to Naruto, who was just sitting in a chair in the far side of the room with his eyes closed, hoping that this'll all end soon. He opened one eye to see Jiraya and Tsunade standing in front of him with grins on their faces and scrolls in their hands. "What?" He asked, "Naruto, I present to you the privilege to sigŰ§Ù„ the Toad contract!" Jiraya smiled. "No way! Naruto! You should sign the Slug contract! Its a way better option for you!" She said with a beautiful smile. The crowd laughed at the actions of the two Sannin. Minato smiled. I hope Naruto picks the Toads, that was my contract when training with Jiraya-Sensei!" He thought
Sochi, please pick the slugs! If you do, me, you and your sister can work together and be closer Kushina thought. Since this morning, Kushina thought about all the times her family has ever done anything with her eldest and when she drew upon none, she ran to the family photos to barely see any pictures of Naruto. She broke down crying in the photo album, she couldn't believe they ignored her baby so much of his life. What is his favorite food? Colour? Hobby? Did he have friends? All these things she didn't know, she knew Menma's and Naruko's but nothing of Naruto. He was like a stranger to her and she hated it. She vowed from then that she would change. So she was hoping she could start with his contract summoning. But when Naruto said his next words, shocked not
only her But the entire party was shocked.
"No, I'd rather not sign either" he said. "W-What? What do you mean you'd rather not?!" Tsunade yelled. "Kid, you do realize that this type of thing comes around once in a blue moon, right?" Jiraya said, "I know but I would rather not, I already have a caple contract". That widened everyones eyes. "Oh yeah?! With who?" Menma said, calling his bluft. Naruto smiled as he but his finger and ran through the hand seals.
"Summoning Jutsul" He shouted as he slammed his hand down and sooner or later, Sonya appeared. "Naruto-kun! You called me? Is there anything could do for you?" She said with usual kindness in her voice.
Everyone around was shocked to their very core. Naruto had the fox contract. This is unbelievable. "No, Sony-chan, just probing a point. You can go now and tell Takeo-Sensei I'm sorry about the interrupted training and we'll continue soon!" He said. Sonya nodded and puffed. out of their plain. "N-N-Naruto? Where did you get that contract?"
Minato asked. "I found it off a deceased shinobi in the Forest Of Death! go there from time to time to train" he said. Menma frowned he marched in front of Naruto, "Give me the scroll, I wanna sign it!", Naruto chuckled and slapped Menma's cheek soft but firm, "Even if I wanted to, I can't it's not up to me! So.....sorry" he said as he passed. Menma and made his way upstairs. "Sochi, don't you want to stay for cake? Please, let's enjoy this time as a family!" Kushina said with a loving smile.
Naruto stayed silent. He felt his chakra flare but he couldn't suppress it in time or in simple words, he didn't try to. He turned to this 'family and guests and spoke. "Family? Family is a strange word to me, it even sounds funny when I say it. Family......Family. It sounds like it doesn't belong in my mouth concerning you guys. Family, thats the most terrifying thing to call this piece of shit group" Naruto said as he ran upstairs in a hurry to go to bed. Once the door slammed Kushina broke down in tears. "He hates us! I knew it!" She said as she ran upstairs to cry. Minato sighed. "Party's over everyone! Thank you for coming but I kindly ask that you All exit, please!" He said as the room cleared out. As soon as it did, Minato made it upstairs to comfort his wife while Merma
and Naruko stayed downstairs
Nii-san....why? Can't you see we love you and we're sorry? She thought
as tears streamed down her face as she cleaned up from the party.
Menma growled. Stupid idiot! Making mom cry! I'll show that worthless
loser he thought as he vowed to make Naruto pay, one way or another.

2024.05.18 09:03 Alive_Art583 My dojo turned out to be an mcdojo and i dont know what to do

Alright so to start this post off i need to give some context. Im a highschooler who is currently doing online school as i do not live in my home country at the moment, i had been rotting in my room for roughly one year with absolutely no social life until my dad suggested starting karate (kyokushin) and i decided to try it out.
At first things seemed fine, the owner of the dojo (7th dan) was all smiles constantly which was off-putting to me at first, but i decided that hes such a high dan that it should be fine.
Fast foward a year later and im knees deep in this shit as i have somehow advanced to 7th kyu, facing a kyu exam for the 6th (which im currently regretting signing up for). I do learn fast, but i am accurately aware that this is not a normal progression speed when it comes to the kyus. I have some absolutely talented people as my senpais and i look up to them, but i also have some people who are 2-4 kyus above me and somehow doing worse than me, not only that but there are people who are the same kyu as me who still cant get kihon right.
Extra highlights from the dojo include, black belts that arent even 15, owneshihan owning a "nutrition club" thats just a herbal life recruiting scheme and last but not least extremely high seminar fees, including "free" herbal life bs snacks that are definitely included in the high fees
The latest bs that happened: As my dad also decided to join the dojo (8th kyu going to be 7th if he passes the exam) and nationals are coming up, we decided to try out family kata along with both of us also wanting to do individual and bo kata, everything sounds alright we know all our katas and the ones we havent perfected yet we still have time to practice, right? Wrong, as shihan decided to pressure the entire dojo into joining synchrone. And lets ignore the fact that he did that just so he can pocket more money out of us and maybe say "alright we can do that" But me and my dad got put on a team with this absolute horrible of a classmate we have, the woman isnt a bad person or anything but dear lord she has been in the dojo longer than me and somehow still cant get basic kata right.
Now here i am, hyping myself up to tell shihan im signing out of the synchrone and trying to come up with a plan as to what i can do once im back to my home country (do i start from a white belt, do i just quit karate as we have exactly 2 dojos in my town 1 of which ive tried and absolutely hated, so if i also dont like the other one i wont have any options).
Anyone got any advice??
Tldr: started practicing karate because i was rotting in my room for roughly a year with no social contacts, ended up knees deep in some bs, almost 6th kyu in a year, studying under an incredibly greedy man with no other options but to stick it out or just outright quit (which i really dont want to do). Help!
Ps. This is my first reddit post so sorry if it sounds incredibly convoluted 😬
Edit: Tysm to everyone who gave advice/their opinion on the matter, after considering it i do not think the dojo is an McDojo altho it does have some dodgy practices that ill try to look out for once i need to find a new dojo when i go back to my home country. Also wanted to say thanks for all the criticism i got when it came to some of my wording as i did infact include some unneeded things into it!

2024.05.17 22:41 AGuyfrometernalsky Medovey tribes: These three western Abkhaz mountain tribes(Akhchipsou, Aibga and Pskhu) were among the most warlike and heroic groups in the Caucasus and were the Ubykhs' closest allies. They fought until the end (21 May 1864)...

Abkhaz elders from the Aibga, 1860s.
Abkhazians from the village of Pskhu, 1860s. Photo by an unknown photographer
In the same area described above, but moving away from the seashore and approaching the mountain gorges, three Abkhazian societies inhabit: Akhchipsou, Aibga, and Pskhu, which some classify as part of the Jigetian***(Sadzs)*** group, while others consider them a distinct branch called Medozuyi or Medoveyevtsi. The Akhchipsou live in the upper reaches of the Pskhu and Mzymta rivers. Did not bow to anyone, they are known for their warlike spirit and ferocity. They maintained close ties with their neighbors, the Ubykhs, and participated in their ventures. The high mountains and impregnable gorges occupied by the Akhchipsou, along with their inaccessibility from the sea, presented significant difficulties for subduing this society, which at one time was the most troublesome of all the Abkhazians for Russia.
The Aibga live between the Akhchipsou and Pskhu societies, in the upper reaches of the Khashuapse River; this is the smallest of the three Medoveyevtsi societies, primarily engaged in theft and robbery in Abkhazia and among the Circassians who lived on the northern slope of the Caucasus range. The Pskhu live in the upper reaches of the Bzyb and Mezhita rivers. This society shares with all the Medoveyevtsi a propensity for predation and the capture of prisoners for later sale to Turkish merchants. In 1840, they submitted to Russia and handed over hostages, but in the last war with the Circassians, they took part against the Russians. The population of all the Medoveyevtsi, before the resettlement of the Circassians to Turkey, amounted to approximately 7-8 thousand souls.
E.P. Kovalevsky. Essays on the Ethnography of the Caucasus. 1867.
Abadzes, inhabiting the eastern shore of the Black Sea from Bzyb to Sochi, are divided into many societies, independent of each other, free, and not subject to any authority. In each society, there is one or two families who, due to the antiquity of their lineage, wealth, and numerous members, enjoy general respect and inviolability based on the number of avengers they can mobilize in case of an offense against one of their members. There is no popular enmity between these societies, which does not prevent individual families from engaging in feuds that often disturb general harmony.
There are as many societies as there are villages, and they are as follows:
  1. Akhchipsou, at the upper reaches of the Mzymta River... situated on slopes and small clearings at the foot of mountains forming the gorges of the mentioned rivers. The houses (of which there are about 200) are scattered over a distance of almost 5 versts, each family having a garden and a small field sown with corn and gomi near their dwelling. Communication within the village is extremely difficult, consisting of narrow, rocky paths often blocked by huge masses of stone... steeply disappearing over the precipitous bank of the Mzymta, across which there are 2 suspension bridges, with fords for crossing horses nearby. The dominant family here is the Marshanias, extremely numerous, the most senior and respected being Dudarukva Bagarkan-ipa Marshania.
  2. Aibga, at the upper reaches of the Psou River, somewhat smaller than Akhchipsou and containing up to 180 families, also settled by the Marshanias; in addition to them, there are the uzdens Vakhokh, Tlabog, and Kota, who have some influence among the people.
  3. Chuzhgucha, on the Chuzhipsy River, a tributary of the Mzymta; its population extends to 100 families, who have built their dwellings on the forested heights along this river. They are poorer than the inhabitants of Akhchipsou and Aibga, due to the lack of space, which does not offer the resources enjoyed by the mentioned villages. Here too, the Marshanias are the primary family, with the senior and wealthiest being Kazdatuk Dudarukva Marshania.
The villages of Akhchipsou, Aibga, and Chuzhgucha, being not far from each other, in naturally fortified places, are closely connected through the Marshania family that inhabits them, and together they are known to their neighbors as the Medoveyevtsi. Related to the Abkhazians, they speak the same language and differ neither in lifestyle nor customs from the latter. Among the highlanders, the Medoveyevtsi are known for their predatory behavior, aided by the impregnability of their homes, shielded by mountains from raids by neighbors who might seek retribution.
  1. Chuzhi, on the Khudaps River, about 100 families, whose homes are scattered on more open heights than the previous ones; here, grapes are grown, which the Medoveyevtsi do not have, and farming is in better condition. The Chuzhi society acknowledges the authority of Prince Djimir-ipa Islam Baga.
  2. Chua, on the Mtsa River, with about 150 families, living spread out over a distance of 3 versts, recognizing the authority of Prince Bezish Achu.
The inhabitants of the Chuzhi and Chua societies, living amicably among themselves, call themselves Abadzes, not adopting the name Sadz, which belongs specifically to the coastal inhabitants of the Abadze tribe.
  1. The village of Sochipsy, or Oblagukuadzh, located on both sides of the Sochi River, in a rather extensive valley near its mouth; it has up to 450 families, partly Abazins, partly Ubykhs, and a small number of Turks, united under the name Sashe. The Turks in this village have one of their main settlements and conduct trade with the highlanders from here; their influence on the inhabitants is noticeable by the zeal of the latter in performing the rites of the Muslim religion, which is not seen in other villages.
Prince Ali Akhmet Oblagu, whose origin is from the Adyghe tribe, is a zealous Muslim surrounded by Turks. The Sashe tribe obeys him, although not in all cases; his influence particularly declined when the natives, for unknown reasons, began to suspect him of secret relations with the Russians, but nevertheless, he is the strongest among the princes and owners from the Shah River to the Bzyb River and enjoys good prosperity.
Prince Oblagu*'s house is built one verst from Sochipsy and at the same distance from the sea, where a small barricade of trees and earth has been made to cover the road leading to the village.
In Sochipsy, three languages are in use: Circassian, Abazin, and Ubykh.
  1. Khaltis, on the right bank of the Mtsa, near its mouth; about 60 families; adheres to the Hamysh society.
  2. Hamysh, on the slope of the mountain, above the sea itself along the river of the same name, recognizes Prince Djembulat Hamysh as their prince, weak even in his own domain, although considered by lineage to be the senior of the Abkhazian princes. There are about 80 families in the village.
  3. The Eskhoripsh or Artkuadzh society counts up to 200 families, settled along the Khudaps River, two versts from its mouth; it obeys no one; the uzdens of the Arta family reside there.
  4. The Aredba society, settled in the Liesh valley, counts about 430 families, benefiting from the plains, which other villages lack. Farming and cattle breeding are in better condition here than elsewhere, and there is a small herd of horses. The wealth of the Liesh valley inhabitants is known among the Sadzes.
The Aredba brothers - Beslan, Sousran, and Chigua - the senior members of the lineage, have no authority over the people but are respected. They lost their influence when they entered into relations with the Russians and have had to endure frequent reproaches for this.
The settlement of the Aredba society, encompassing the Liesh valley in a crescent shape, is divided into the following auls: Kereka, Abakha, Banshiripsh, Uchuga, and Khishkhoripsh, lying on the slopes of hills bordering the Liesh valley from the east, Kata, and Djankhota...
Along the road leading from the seashore through a small interval to the mentioned villages, 2 or 3 versts from the mouth of the Mzymta to the north, residents have built a large, but weak for defense, barricade on the very sandy shore.
  1. Gechkuadzh, on the right side of the Psou River, holds up to 80 families and is inhabited by the Gech family, among whom Edyrbey is the most significant.
  2. Tsandrypsh or Tsankuadzh, along the Khuchups River; it has up to 120 houses, mostly occupied by the uzdens of the Tsanbai family, the senior being Hadji Salama.
  3. Khyscha, on a mountain, the residence of the Anchabadze family, counts no more than 40 families.
  4. Begeucha, or Bagrypsh, the village closest to Gagra, contains about 100 families.

d) Psou – between the sources of the Bzyb and Apsta rivers, Aibga – at the upper reaches of the Psou River, Akhchipsou – at the upper reaches of the Mzymta River, Chuzhgucha – at the upper reaches of the Mdy River. These four societies, known among the Circassians living on the northern side of the mountains under the common name Medoveyevtsi, are Abkhazians who have retreated for various reasons to the impregnable rocks adjacent to the eternal snows. Occupying places that are difficult to cultivate, poor in pastures and land products, they are in need of bread, livestock, and clothing. Only in the villages of Akhchipsou and Chuzhgucha do fruit trees grow, which are found along the seashore in Abkhazia and among the Ubykhs. The impregnability of their homes and extreme poverty have made the Medoveyevtsi predators, feared by their neighbors. The Medoveyevtsi form kinship ties with their fellow Abkhazians and Sadz, sometimes maintaining friendly relations with them, and at other times being at enmity.
The Medoveyevtsi are openly hostile to the Circassians: crossing the Caucasus mountain range, they descend into the forested gorges of the Urup, Laba, Khodz, and Belaya rivers, killing Circassians there and capturing their people and livestock. Almost every year, the residents of Chuzhgucha and Akhchipsou drive off sheep from the Abazeks; only once did the Abazeks, having gathered in large numbers, manage to rob several border houses in Akhchipsou.
The Medoveyevtsi have no religious beliefs; only some of the nobles perform the rites prescribed by the Muslim faith, without caring, however, about its doctrines.
In all four Medoveyevtsi villages, the Marshania***(Marshan)*** family is dominant, divided into two lines – the Mas-ipas and the Bagarkan-ipas; the former live in the village of Psou, the latter in Aibga, Akhchipsou, and Chuzhgucha.
Judging by the places they occupy, the Medoveyevtsi cannot be considered to number more than 5,000 males.

The coastal Djigets, Shapsugs, and Natukhay are more than ever showing a desire to submit, but the main, so far insurmountable, obstacle in this is the Ubykhs and the mountain Djiget societies of Aibga and Akhchipsou. The leader of this hostile faction is Hadji-Berzok, an old man who is wealthy, enterprising, and has great influence among the people.

REPORT BY I. R. ANREP, CHIEF OF THE BLACK SEA COASTAL STRIP, TO E. A. GOLOVIN, COMMANDER OF THE CAUCASUS CORPS, ABOUT THE DJIGET AND UBKH NOBLES WHO TOOK THE OATH OF LOYALTY
May 25, 1841
Following report No. 133 from May 6, I am honored to inform Your Excellency about the submission of the Djiget community of Hamish. I am also honored to report that now all the coastal Djigets and part of the Ubykhs have taken an oath of eternal loyalty to Your Excellency and have given hostages.
I am very pleased to inform Your Excellency of this event and would like to present the details of this matter, which promises very important results, with your permission.
The people living in the area between the Ubykhs and Abkhazians are called Saadzen; among the Georgian tribes, these people are known as the Djigets. The Djigets speak Abkhaz and, in their traditions, resemble the Abkhazians more than their other neighbors, the Ubykhs. Since ancient times, the Abkhaz rulers have had influence over them and held them in high regard. The princes and noble families of Abkhazia are related to the Djigets. The social structures of these two peoples are identical: without question, the princes and noble families held power.
During the conquest of Abkhazia, the alliance between this region and the Djigets was destroyed, and in recent years, hostility arose. As a result, the Djigets joined forces with the Ubykhs, who are also known for their warrior skills, and together they launched operations against Abkhazia and our fortifications. The Djigets can be divided into two main groups: the highlanders/mountaineers (Akhchipsa, Aibga, and Pshu) and the coastal people (Hisha, Tsvandrypsh, Gecha, Areda, and Hamish).
The first group can be estimated at 2 to 3 thousand households. The highland Djigets live in the upper reaches of the Mzymta, Psou, and Bzyb rivers, which are difficult to access. Historically, this region has served as a refuge for those pursued by our administration and sought by their people for revenge. Among the surrounding peoples, the highland Djigets are not known for great warrior skills and valor, but they are the most tireless and agile bandits. In the northern part of the Caucasus, they are famous as Medoveev for their predatory activities.
The coastal Djigets' territories are especially divided by the high mountainous area between the Psou and Bzyb rivers, but in the area between these mountains, there are many fertile, rich, and densely populated valleys. Proximity to the sea and trade provided the coastal Djigets with various comforts of life, thus the violent raids on the coast had a direct impact on them. On the other hand, the strengthening of Gagra blocked the best route to Abkhazia for them, forcing the Djigets to take difficult and unsafe snowy mountain paths.
A few years ago, Hadji Berzek swore not to travel to Abkhazia via the mountains after losing 700 men in a snowstorm. We had the means to invade the lands of the Djigets, frequently threatened them on this matter, and sometimes carried out our threats when possible. In 1838, we organized an expedition to capture the Pshu community, which was scattered above the Bzyb River and consisted of 300 households. Circumstances prevented this move, but in 1839, the Pshus themselves surrendered. Subsequently, in 1840, the Hisha community (150 households), subject to the Anchabadze princes, and several villages of Tsvandrypsh closer to Abkhazia were conquered.

9. Achyps and Pskhu
The highland Abkhaz tribe Achyps(Akhchipsou) inhabited the headwaters of the Mzymta River in the territory of historical Abkhazia, which is now part of the Russian Federation. The center of the Achyps society was the village and area of Gәbaa-dәы ("Gubaa clan clearing"), known in Russian sources as Kbaade. The tribal self-designation of the group is Achyps (Đ°ÒłÒ·Ń‹Ô„ŃŃ‹Ì//ÒłĐ°Ò·Ń‹Ô„ŃŃ‹Ì), and it is known by the same name to other Abkhaz communities. Representatives of this group call their language Đ°ÌÔ„ŃĐ°ŃˆÓ™Đ° "Abkhaz language". It is noteworthy that the Karachays refer to the Abkhaz as khachyps-ly, as they had the greatest contact with this Abkhaz community.
The Pskhu society lived in a mountain basin at the headwaters of the Bzyb River. In addition to their common self-designation as Đ°ÌÔ„ŃŃ‹ŃƒĐ° "Abkhaz", the Pskhu people also refer to their group with the hybrid term Ô„ŃÒłÓ™Ń‹Ì-Đ°ÒłÒ·Ń‹Ô„ŃŃ‹ "Pskhu Achyps". Linguistically, their speech is hardly distinguishable from the speech of the Achyps, and it can also be defined as a dialect of Achyps. The self-designation of both groups (Achyps and Pskhu), now represented only in Turkey, is Đ°ÌÔ„ŃŃƒĐ°//Đ°ÌÔ„ŃĐ°ŃƒĐ° "Abkhaz".
The phonetic system of the Achyps dialect coincides with the system of the Aatsyn dialect of the Bzyb dialect, the Turkish Bzyb dialect, the Sadz dialect of the Tsvydji dialect (but in the absence of the phoneme [f']), and the Tsabal dialect. Like in the Tsabal and Tsvydji dialects, the finite forms of dynamic verbs in the present tense end with -oo-t, while those of stative verbs end with -oo-p. Another feature of Achyps is that it has parallel forms for stative verbs: -u-p (as in the Bzyb and Abzhuy dialects) and -y-t (as in the Sadz dialect and in the Kvin dialect of the Ashkhar dialect), although forms with -y-t are rarer, e.g., "ĐčŃ‹Ì-ÒŸĐ°-Đčт" ("that is, there is") alongside the more common "ĐčŃ‹Ì-ÒŸĐ°-уп" ("there is"). In the Sadz dialect, these forms are also parallel, but forms with -y-t are, on the contrary, more common.
The villages inhabited by representatives of the Achyps and Pschu groups are located in the following provinces of north-central Turkey: DĂŒzce and Sakarya.

The point that should be known in this information is that villages and neighborhoods such as NĂŒfren Beylice, Hacımbey, Halilbey, Akçayır ƞabatbey, NĂŒfren Soğuksu, Tepsek, Kanca, Bıçkıatik, Ayazdağı, Çukurhan, SĂŒleymanbey, Zekeriya Mahalle, Harziya Mahalle, Çayköy, Kurak Mahalle are not entirely of Akhchipsou origin. It is a mixture of Akhchipsou, Pskhu and Aibga. There is no clear information about which villages and families are Akhchipsou, which are Pskhu, and which are Aibga. Research on the subject continues.
Today, the Pskhu villages established between Hendek and DĂŒzce in Turkey are NĂŒfren Beylice, Hacımbey, Halilbey, Akçayır ƞabatbey, NĂŒfren Soğuksu, Tepsek, Kanca, Bıçkıatik, Ayazdağı, Çukurhan, Bıçkı, Karaçökek villages. The Pskhus living here define themselves as Apsua. These villages are not entirely of Pskhu origin, but are mixed with Akhchipsou and Aibga groups. Some of these villages no longer have Abaza(Abkhaz).

The australian outback experience is a term used to describe the remote and arid interior regions of Australia, characterised by its sparse population, harsh climate, and vast open spaces. It encompasses various landscapes, including deserts, grasslands, rocky ranges, and ancient gorges, each with its own distinct beauty and allure.

2. Geographical Features of the Australian Outback

I. Vastness and Diversity
One of the defining features of the Australian Outback is its sheer vastness. Stretching across the central and western parts of the country, it covers over 70% of Australia’s landmass, making it one of the most extensive arid regions on Earth. II. Unique Landscapes
From the iconic red sands of the Simpson Desert to the rugged terrain of the Kimberley, the Australian Outback is home to some of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes. 2. Flora and Fauna

I. Adaptations to Harsh Environment
The plants and animals that inhabit the Australian Outback have evolved remarkable adaptations to survive in this harsh and unforgiving environment. Drought-resistant shrubs, like spinifex and mulga, dot the arid plains, while iconic species such as kangaroos, emus, and dingoes roam the vast expanse in search of food and water.
II. Iconic Species
The Outback is also home to a wealth of unique wildlife found nowhere else on Earth. From the elusive bilby to the colorful budgerigar, these iconic species have long captured the imagination of visitors and inspired countless tales of adventure and discovery.

5. Challenges and Conservation Efforts

I. Environmental Threats
Despite its remote and seemingly untouched appearance, the Australian Outback faces numerous environmental threats, including habitat loss, invasive species, and climate change. These challenges pose a significant risk to the fragile ecosystems and iconic wildlife that call the Outback home.
II. Conservation Initiatives
To address these threats, various conservation organisations and government agencies are working tirelessly to protect and preserve the unique biodiversity of the travel outback australia. From land management practices to habitat restoration projects, these efforts are crucial for ensuring the long-term sustainability of this iconic landscape.

2024.05.15 10:55 CakeandTea78 My thought about all private servers that based on 4.6

Hi no matter what version you advertised your server as long as you based on 4.6 this is my thought.
Despite level limited is 55(2.7) or 60(3.0) most of the servers give starter set which meant to be given at 4.6 event with max level 65 in mind. This created unpleasant leveling experience for 2.7 and 3.0 limited content servers especially. I don't know what cause mentality that all players want to skip all leveling process to rush to max level as fast as possible. All servers have weekend exp boost drop boost in mind. This is not Aion only but most likely happening to all game servers. My opinion is this is causing FOMO (Fear of missing out)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_of_missing_out
It's negative feeling it doesn't make players feel healthier or happier but rather forced players to stay home during weekend to play the game. It's a scumbag strategy. Let everybody enjoy your server any day not just weekend. I would support a server without exp boost weekend boost just because it gives a peace to players and slow life.
Ultima of FOMO, most of 4.6 events give the tempering solution as an ultimate prize from event. IMO tempering solution should be farmable from instances at decent rate but it was designed to be abysmal rate so they would rather hand out in events instead I can't blame this on private servers directly but rather how lame NCsoft designed this item after all. Still on some 2.7 server I see they adapted event from 4.6 change some loots. More events don't mean healthier server it just means more FOMO and more money for the server owner during more reset scrolls etc they will sell during events. I saw some servers planning to add more custom events on their servers and I was like "FUCK THEM" I'd rather playing nothing than playing a game with a ton of FOMO.
Well you misunderstood if you think Euroaion are made up by English speakers population. Most are Russians. If you check out all servers. You will find most popular server is Moscow based + some influx from Chinese players during their close location to Moscow given low ping enough (I believed it's about 100ms from Hong Kong). So no Europeans do not make the most populate of server but rather Russian and no Europeans shouldn't discriminate someone solely based nationality or whatever their political of their countries. Unless they're so arrogant about it then report them and get them ban.
Again this is not direct blame on private servers but rather scumbag strategy from NCsoft. They made drop rate on instances abysmal so they can sell drop rate buff. This can be simply fixed by rising drop rate permanently and don't sell VIP or drop buffs.
This is clearly P2W, Mounts obtainable in game are too few such as Kahrun, TS mounts. They should add some shop mounts in game and making them drops from 4.x instances at decent rate 5-10%. It's not a game breaking. Mounts are essential in order to chase someone or escape someone in PvP so everybody should have it not just shop.
This instance do no good for anybody. It's just luna instances of 4.x. It's boring stressful no fun of it at all and potential unleash the nasty greed of human. It's better to make cera medals rewarded from Tia siege at 100% chance and from Dredgion for winning. Those are much more fun than EB. EB gears can completely removed no one will miss it if nobody can get it. So Glory Point will mainly coming from PvP.
IS/Kata should be easily access to everybody not just rich people if you can't get rid of key process of it then at least make material widely available to 4.x maps.
I have no experience about PvP in Aion so I won't comment about Arena , PvP instances anyone want to add comments about it please feel free to do so.
Conclusion if a server followed my suggestions you would see a paradise server and it doesn't even need updated content or anything it's just regular 4.6 with some modify. Read and comment if you like thank you :)

2024.05.14 12:27 PhoenixFllies777 Judoka in MMA / High-level Judo use in MMA (List)

Judo is extremely underrated in MMA. It is definitely under-represented as well, due to a multitude of reasons (MMA is no-gi, Judo doesn't train leg attacks, IJF bans its top athletes from cross-competing, most MMA is in the USA where Judo sucks and wrestling is world-class, etc etc), but Judo is still very much used in MMA. The problem is many times, nobody recognizes it. American MMA commentators are also almost always completely clueless when it comes to Judo, which doesn't help (you need not go any further than Karo Parisyan basically going through half the Gokyo on his opponents, only to be greeted with the same OH MY GOD ! JUDO THROW! by Joe Rogan). There are many fighters, both superstars (Islam, Fedor) and not (Gregory Rodrigues, Luana Pinheiro) who heavily use Judo in their matches.
Over the years, I have actively been looking for Judo in MMA. I am going to share my list of fighters displaying high level Judo in MMA, as a reference point for anyone looking to see how the art is used in MMA, or even for anyone just looking to see some banging throws. The list is by no means exhaustive. I would love for people more knowledgeable than me to add fighters I may have missed.
Disclaimer: Let's focus on Judo use in MMA. There are several fighters who have a background, even a black belt, in Judo but don't really use it (Amanda Nunes, Valentina Shevchenko, Merab Dvalishvili, Shinya Aoki, Seika Izawa, Fabricio Werdum, Ronaldo Jacare Souza just off the top of my head). Also yes, Morote Gari is a leg takedown, and it is in the Judo syllabus. Almost nobody learned double legs in Judo, let's not go to these extremes.
Karo Parisyan
The OG of Judo in MMA, the man who single-handedly put Judo on the MMA map. Judo is displayed in all of his matches; several Youtube breakdowns and highlights exist as well. He also put out a Judo for MMA instructional which is gold, if you can get your hands on it. Unfortunately he got derailed by personal issues (I hear he's doing better now thankfully). Huge variety of throws, he used throws nobody else has used before or after against very high level opponents. Shoutout to his kimura grip hikikomi gaeshi that he almost beat GSP with.
Ronda Rousey
UFC champion, Olympic bronze medalist, WMMA pioneer - you know her, everyone knows her. Extremely one-dimensional, but a pioneer for her time. Her entire game plan was clinch JUDO THROW juji gatame (armbar). Shoutout to her textbook use of hip toss into kesa gatame into roflstomp (vs Alexis Davis). Her matches with Miesha Tate are also among the best MMA matches (male or female).
Fedor Emelianenko
PRIDE champion. Arguably the Heavyweight GOAT. Probably the best example of Judo adapted to MMA (together with Islam), as he did not rely on Judo as much as Karo or Ronda, but perfectly blended it with his striking to create an unstoppable force. I'd heavily recommend watching Sonny Brown's Fedor breakdown on Youtube, or pretty much any one of Fedor's matches, they're awesome. Shoutout to his use of the overhand right to switch stances when initiating clinches (as a R-handed Judo fighter fighting out of an Orthodox stance).
Islam Makhachev
UFC champion. Ideal example of Judo adapted to MMA. Yes, he's a Dagestani, and he has been training in MMA all his life, so obviously his style is not purely Judo, but it's obvious to anyone who knows where to look that his grappling base is more Judo than wrestling based. Shoutout to him submitting Charles Oliveira, the most prolific BJJ specialist in MMA history, with a Kata Gatame (arm-triangle choke, routinely taught in Judo as a pin with submission potential). His style is also very different from Khabib, who I will not include in this list for the opposite reason; his grappling base was significantly more wrestling based (although he did execute some ridiculously perfect Judo throws on occasion). The entire Khabib camp uses both Judo and wrestling though.
Jon Jones
UFC Champion. Contender for all-time GOAT. Is Jon Jones a Judoka? Nope. Do his matches feature Judo? Absolutely. You only need to watch one of his highlight reels to see a variety of Judo throws, Osoto Gari, Harai Goshi, Tai Otoshi, Sasae, a variety of Kosotos, along with his wrestling-based takedowns. He also uses a lot of inside trips, obviously from wrestling, but he's still a good example of how to use Ouchi Gari in MMA.
Jimmy Hettes
UFC former fighter. Old-school prolific grappler. Very high level Judo and BJJ. Did not have many matches, but they were all grappling clinics, and every one included a multitude of Judo throws (mainly Harai Goshi).
Kayla Harrison
PFL tournament winner. Double Olympic gold medalist. Her recent UFC debut against Holly Holm featured a Harai and a brutal Osoto Gari into a finishing choke.
Yoshihiro Akiyama (Sexiyama)
Heavy Judo base. Struggled in the UFC, but had some banging throws. Still competes at almost 50. Also his nickname was Sexy, can't go wrong with that.
Hector Lombard
Judo Olympian. Heavy Judo base as well, with very slick throws, although he preferred to stand and bang. Was once one of the hottest non-UFC MMA prospects, his career took a massive dive after he got popped for roids.
Satoshi Ishii
Judo Gold medalist. Heavy Judo base. Fought in a variety of promotions around the world, an absolute dog but with average results. He got brutally destroyed by Cro Cop, then went to train with him in Croatia, then denounced his citizenship and became a Croatian citizen. Lol. Also trains with Danaher, and has a bunch of no-gi Judo instructionals at ridiculous prices (because Danaher).
Serghei Spivac
UFC Heavyweight contender. Ragdolls everyone with sloppy but effective Judo throws. Shoutout to his landing in Kesa Gatame too.
Luana Pinheiro
UFC fighter. Judo black belt, (I believe) Olympic alternate. Uses Judo as her main offensive grappling base, has taken down all of her opponents with the same Harai Goshi / O Guruma hybrid.
Gregory Rodrigues
UFC fighter. ?Relative unknown. I personally never heard of him, until I randomly came across one of his matches were he executed one of the most brutal Harai's I've ever seen into a finish. All of his matches feature some degree of Judo, mainly uses Harai. No recorded Judo rank on his wiki (he's recorded as a heavily credentialed BJJ blackbelt), but it's obvious he has Judo training. Also very good wrestling and kickboxing (yes, he's very exciting to watch). Shoutout to his match against Brunno Fereira, a Judo black belt who escaped top position from Rodrigues by securing an Ippon grip, rolling to his knees, and chucking Rodrigues forward with a kneeling Ippon Seoi before brutally KO'ing him a few seconds later.
Tagir Ulanbekov
UFC fighter. Khabib's camp. Uses a lot of clinch takedowns. An absolute specialist in step around throws (I believe it's called "Polish" in wrestling?) - in Judo terms it would be Kosoto Gake +/- Ura Nage depending how you finish it.
Ayaka Miura
ONE Championship fighter. Heavy Judo base. Shoutout to her use of Kesa Gatame to finish opponents.
Rick Hawn
Judo Olympian. Twice fought for the Bellator championship. Unfortunately, I have not watched any of his actual matches, so I cannot confirm how much Judo he uses (I'd love for someone to chime in). Still has a highlight-reel standing Ippon Seoi Nage into KO, so I had to include him.
..
Honorable mention to Yoel Romero, an absolute unit of an athlete. Olympic silver medalist and World champion in Freestyle wrestling, fought for UFC gold. Obviously not a Judoka but he has the cleanest Sasae you will ever see in MMA, as well as a bunch of beautiful step-around throws and inside trips you've probably learned in Judo.

2024.05.14 06:19 TotallyNotAjay Quick Kodokan Goshin Jutsu Clinic Write up

This weekend, Ajax Budokan invited Kodokan 9th dan and former head of the Tokyo Police dojo, Michio Fukushima Sensei, to conduct a 4 hour clinic for Kodokan Goshin Jutsu. It was open to yellow belt and higher, though the majority consisted of Yudansha. My senseis had the honour of demoing the kata, as Fukushima Sensei's health did not permit presenting each technique multiple times, though he did show some of the finer details, demo mechanics, and gave comments as to what was good and displayed what could be fixed. He also talked about older versions of the techniques and how/ why they have been changed. Regretfully, it totally slipped my mind to film during the seminar, as there was a lot of good information, translated (and left untranslated) by the interpreter.
Some General Notes on Fukushima Sensei Fukushima Sensei on multiple occasions mentioned how one should carry themselves and move, more specifically he talked about how he usually sees toris get away with bad shisei as uke's attacks are generally to kind or passive, and that if they genuinely attacked, most toris would be off balance. Additionally he mentioned that a lot of IFJ competition now is power judo, where the technical aspects are replaced for brute force and speed.
The main note he makes is to keep the knees alive (slightly bent and bouncy like a spring), and that most novices have a tendency to straight leg their kata. He also made it a great point to explain the logic of the waza in the kata and how the kuzushi is created. Other important details he talked about were that uke shouldn't be a limp noodle once his attack is over, that tori should keep good sabaki (unclear if sabaki was short hand for tai sabaki as he also stated tai sabaki on different occasions (the details were paraphrased by the translator)), and the usage of rotation from the hips to maintain proper balance (tai sabaki). Additionally, he talked about things relating to karada (the body) and some anecdotes (such as stories about judoka such as Michigami, Isao Okano, and Nagaoka if I was hearing correctly, though I don't speak Japanese, only somewhat familiar with it), which were left untranslated or paraphrased sadly.
Emphasised details in the kata (not explanations or descriptions of how to do a technique) and my experiences (FYI Sensei mostly used the Tomiki names for the waza Tori applied)
Attacks when held
  1. Ryote dori - my partner and I (both new to this kata for the most part) went in on this one and struggled as we didn't see the detail of thumb in hand for the lock (blind leading the blind, though we later worked near a kind pair after this who helped check more closely as they were experienced in the kata)
    1. Yahazu (hook notch shaped hand [thank you Mr. Gatling for pointing that out]) is very important to direct uke's arm
    2. You aren't pulling the arm away to free it, you are pushing your elbow forward which pressures uke's arm
    3. Te gatana to the uto (point between uke's eyes)
    4. When applying the lock (te gatame), make sure to rotate uke's hand such that the fingers are pointing up
    5. When applying the lock, take the uke's arm in the direction perpendicular to the line made by his feet
  2. Hidari eri dori - I particularly liked this one, though my uke was confused the first few times as he kept trying to apply waki gatame.
    1. Tori must grab underneath uke's hand on the lapel when stepping back
    2. When grabbing uke's hand to break the grip and apply the lock (kote hineri), tori should have his thumb in between uke's thumb and fingers, and to take the uke's arm in the direction perpendicular to the line made by his feet
    3. Uke should try to maintain jigo tai rather than lean so the lock is applied cleanly
    4. Tori's hand should not be limp when delivering the strike
  3. Migi eri dori - I couldn't get kote gaeshi to work properly, will have to practice and ask my sensei about it later, same with my partner
    1. Tori should maintain a upright posture as uke pulls him forward, and use the landing of his foot to drive his hand for the uppercut to uke
    2. Tori should try to keep uke's hand attached to his centerline as he makes tai sabaki
  4. Kata ude dori - My uke was very stiff, so applying the initial lock to him proved difficult, though he claims he felt it. I found this kata easy to remember as the legs go left right left right (step, step, tai sabaki, kick, then lead with the right for the lock)
    1. You are kicking with the side of the foot
    2. The step before the kick pivot around so your feet are almost parallel
    3. For waki gatame, you should be standing inside his feet, near parallel to the line perpendicular to his feet
  5. Ushiro eri dori - I had experience with this one as sensei had taught during some free time a while back
    1. The parry with the arm was stated to also be the preferred way to receive punches, though take that as you will (though it is a common method in karate as well)
    2. The strike should be to the suigetsu (solar plexus)
    3. Trap uke's hand with your head so that it can't wiggle all over the place when applying the lock
  6. Ushiro jime - My partner and I both had a tendency to lift the shoulder off after spinning out, will have to work on that. I will be honest, had I known this escape, I probably would have come out of an incident a few years back (before I started Judo) rather unscathed as I was jumped and then kicked on the ground by a person who was quite a pain.
    1. The attack and initial defence are identical to that of katame no kata, following which tori rotates out
    2. Keep pressure with your shoulder until your grip has been changed
  7. Kakae dori - We didn't have enough mat space to finish the throw without running into other groups, but the technique is surprisingly effective. Though I couldn't initially find out how to do the armlock and had to ask my sensei about it, now it's pretty easy.
    1. Rotate the arm away from you (clockwise from your perspective) and pull uke's arm into you
    2. During the initial stomp, straighten up and raise your arms to loosen uke's grip
Attacks when at a distance - I got less time to try these in general as I wanted my partner to get a feel for them as they are a bit more complicated and he is less experienced
  1. Naname uchi - this was a fun situation, it shows how a little bit of atemi can be used to setup a randori waza, and Fukushima Sensei complimented my senseis' performance saying that it was better than the current text book
    1. Te gatana is used to redirect the strike
    2. Osoto otoshi is performed
    3. Pushing the arm through is important to create the kuzushi necessary for the waza
  2. Ago tsuki - I didn't actually get a chance to try this one more than once as my partner struggled with it, he kept applying a shoulder lock by pushing on the elbow without the redirect with the thumb up (shoulder is still sore)
    1. when directing uke's attack up and away, do not lean back as then you are unstable
    2. Use yahazu to direct uke's elbow toward his ear
    3. As uke will not like this use the moment after releasing the elbow lock to throw him forward in the direction perpendicular to his feet.
  3. Gammen Tsuki - My partner really liked this one, I can see the uses as I've used similar entries when messing around with strikes + judo with this partner as I have a bit of karate experience
    1. Uke is meant to do a break fall, thus tori needs to get out of the way after releasing the choke
    2. Uke should realistically be aiming for where tori's uto would be if he did not evade
  4. Mae Geri - this was a relatively easy one to grasp, but quite a bit of practice is needed before a full force kick can be considered
    1. Rotate ukes foot outwards so that it is not easy for him to rotate in to escape
    2. In the original, tori would lift uke's leg high but many ukes ended up injured from hitting their heads, so now tori just pushes back
  5. Yoko geri - My sensei has introduced this one at the dojo before as well, though he prefaced it with about a minute of just practicing a side kick. My partner (who suffers from light knee pain) couldn't kneel during the finish
    1. The use of the te gatana to redirect the kick in the direction it is going, very similar to karates low block
    2. During the finish tori creates a void for uke to be thrown but in real life tori would throw uke onto his knee
Attacks with weapons - I understand people dislike these (reasonably in some cases), but I've found them to be useful points to explore
Attacks with a knife - Sensei Fukushima mentioned how despite my senseis making it look easy
Both my partner and I have practiced these quite a lot (I was the only one who was taught it by sensei but we practiced it on our own time), so not as many personal notes. Though I don't have a good experience so my brain switches to serious and my heart rate increases despite the fact that I know these are fake weapons.
  1. Tsukkake
    1. The elbow should be pushed forward (I've actually experimented with this in the past by asking uke to try to stab me as I applied the defence, and we've found after the initial push and strike, tori is in a relatively good position, be it to run away or finish the kata)
    2. Push the locked up arm up and towards uke, then guide him to the ground
  2. Choku zuki - I struggled to apply the waki gatame, I'm guessing it was control of the wrist that was the problem, this form is relatively straight forward and makes sense
    1. The strike should not be a boxer style punch, but more like the first punch in szkt
    2. uke should not go limp
    3. when moving away from uke, take him perpendicular to the line between his feet
  3. Naname Zuki - Personally I think this form is cutting it close in many regards, but the control tori has is quite surprising
    1. Don't grab the blade from the sharp edge
Attacks with a jo - PSA, no matter how much you trust your uke, mistakes happen (especially with such a solid weapon) so remain vigilant to mitigate damage
  1. Furi age - this was a relatively easy technique to grasp as it is an application of O soto gari setup with a palm strike to the chind
    1. Tori should enter as soon as uke begins to raise his arm, almost a preemptive entry
    2. Tori strikes at the ago (chin) with a palm strike, then places his hand on the throat for the throw
  2. Furi oroshi - My partner leant into the swing and wacked me on the forehead, it could've been worse but it just grazed the outer layer as I saw the jo come closer after my initial retreat and attempted to turn out of the way. Both a PSA for tori and uke. Tori do not keep your eyes off uke, and uke please don't lean into a swing, you are horribly off balance, and you make it harder for tori to read. Also uke don't speed up when you 2 are learning (I don't know why my partner chose too...)
    1. Do not hop back onto one leg and then towards uke with the other, it leads you to have bad posture
    2. Better to make a big retreat than get hit
    3. 2 strike, one ura ken (back fist), followed by knife hand push
    4. Uke's swing should be at a diagonal
  3. Morote zuki - I didn't get to practice this one as my partner was taken a bit aback after the previous incident and couldn't get the steps right for this one. Fukushima Sensei mentioned something along the lines of how a judoka was faced with a juken and couldn't figure out what to do, and thus this form was created to address that.
    1. Tori shouldn't be rowing the jo away to shake off and throw uke
    2. The arm puts pressure on uke's arm forward
    3. Tori should be trying to angle the jo down towards himself after the initial grab
Attacks with a gun - I struggled with all of these, but I think the principles are relatively sound. Though in real life, I'd most likely give up my valuables. Fukushima Sensei emphasised hip rotation in these movements, as he says that you want to direct the gun away without moving your feet, which is what uke would be seeing when looking at your pocket.
Always make sure to begin your defence after uke is clearly focused on checking your pockets, never when his focus is directly on you
  1. Shomen Zuke
    1. Grab the barrel of the gun thumb up
    2. During the disarm, push the gun's muzzle to face towards him
  2. Koshi Gamae - I kept getting the second hand wrong and thus the barallel was pointed towards me in the final attack, will need to work on that
    1. Grab the barrel of gun initially with the thumb down with your right hand, and push the gun so that it is horizontal after turning left, then grab the gun from below with your right
    2. make sure to not point the gun at yourself when hitting with the butt
  3. Haimen Zuke - this is quite a dangerous move in theory, but also one of the more likely ones
    1. Wrap uke's arm with your arm, but make sure to direct the muzzle up with the free arm
    2. [uke] should let go of gun, as this is a hard breakfall
Overarching and repeated themes in the kata
Overall, it was quite a good event, and I learned a lot. This kata isn't the most realistic with the attacks (though apparently a few people I know have used the ryote dori attack shockingly), but what I've learned so far is relatively sound, hopefully some time soon I can convince my partner to do some live resistance sparring with some gear on (which I have done with the knife portion with a plastic knife). Fukushima Sensei had a lot to say, as he was actively discussing his experiences and koshiki no kata after the seminar with another Japanese speaker, and I hope to be able to attend another one of his classes again someday.
Here are some videos featuring Michio Fukushima from a few years back, both where he was actively demoing, and where he had a slightly more corrective position.

2024.05.13 15:51 Braunb8888 Finally finished this one after having it sit on the backlog for a while

Quite the ride. I’m overall pretty mixed on it. It’s easily the most gorgeous looking game I’ve ever seen, so Respawn deserves all the props for that, but my god, I don’t think I’ve ever seen worse level design.
I can’t count the amount of times where I was like “where the fuck do I go?” I had to look up level guides multiple times and the solution was very often something that made me go “oh fuck you devs”. So that hampered my enjoyment a bit.
Missions themselves were also kind of underwhelming. There seemed to be a lack of enemy variety and the levels themselves were just weirdly and frustratingly put together in a way that didn’t really make sense, making it a chore to get through at times.
The combat was mostly great, but I used a mod that allowed me to switch to any stance I wanted, which made it immeasurably better. Never made any sense why it was limited. It also felt like the lightsaber was just
idk weak? I felt like I was under equipped vs purge troopers with stun batons and that should never be the case. The limited amount of force use also sucked, making it impossible to consistently use it in a fun way and instead like maybe 3 at a time before you have to build it up again.
Boss fights were very cool however, and pretty tough, though I found it weird how easy the final boss was compared to Dagan and Ravis. Felt like maybe they should’ve swapped those around?
Story wise
ugh, I mean, Sagan’s pursuit of tanalor and the whole race to get there just sucked, there was nothing interesting about it. I personally hate “get to the promised land” stories. Dagan had an awesome design, but I feel like they went with the wrong voice actor for him, I just wasn’t intimidated by him at all. His quest was ultimately underwhelming and just kinda there. Bode on the other hand, well I didn’t see that coming for the most part, though they do hint at it strongly after you kill Dagan.
I thought the missions following his betrayal were incredible, and easily the best in the game from a story and gameplay standpoint. from ceres epic last stand to taking down the imperial base and having that scene with bode, kata and cal reminded me of kill bill vol 2s ending and both voice actors absolutely killed it in that scene. Also the unleashing of the dark side is perfectly done too.
The problem is when we finally get to tanalor. Like
.thats it? It’s just a planet that’s pretty? I just don’t get why it’s the promised land other than it being hard to find. And Bode reaching it felt odd, like
it should’ve been Dagan who reached it and got there and been wildly disappointed in what it actually was, fight him in the temple and then after he dies you discover it’s some kind of force factory, where the Jedi can be reborn or something of that nature.
Bode being there felt kinda awkward, like okay, how exactly are you gonna raise your kid on a planet with seemingly no life or food? Just felt kinda “he has to get there because it’s epic” our final showdown with bode should’ve taken place at the imperial base, we should’ve killed him ruthlessly in front of kata, leading her to turn to the dark side and be a problem in the future.
That said overall pretty solid game and loved the dark side implementation at the end though I wish they went further with it. Having force lightning accidentally come out would’ve be been awesome to see. Interestingly, it felt a lot like Spider- man 2, with the main villain built up the whole game, only to be thrown aside for a villain much more personal to the character but ended up feeling semi rushed in the process along with the main character turning to the dark side possibly along the way.
Just my thoughts and I’m looking forward to seeing what they do with the finale of the trilogy or more if they’ve got it in them.

2024.05.12 23:48 Whatsiupp REP SCIENCE FULL REVIEW: THE ROW x 2 different factories: pitting Kata vs Other Factory

Hi Wagooners! This is my first review and it was a doozy! I hope I get the classic "well done you!" from the admins, but also let me know if I need to add more detail.
Today I am reviewing The Row’s Black Soft Margaux in 10” and 15” sizes, both in the more expensive leather, black smooth leather that is supposed to mark up and age nicely. As the title says, this review is 100% REP SCIENCE. Same bag, same model, different size, different factories, all from the same seller!
Author Expertise:
Fashion college graduate, 20 years in NYC, with good friends who are VP’S at top Fashion houses, including The Row. I have owned, borrowed, and touched many auths. I have owned a handful of reps. I have purchased reps on Canal Street (in early aughts), Panda buy (wegobuy), and lone wolf Reps in China.
I now full-time buy reps and not Auths because of the buyer's remorse. They just aren’t worth that much money and like a car, the value goes down once we walk out that door.
I tend to choose simpler designed bags, in easy to replicate colors, and I avoid hardware as much as possible. So, this brought me to The Row’s Margaux 10 and Margaux 15.
Disclosure (and interesting to note!):
Amelia, my seller, is aware I am doing this review, but did not give me any incentive (nor would i ever accept one!). I DID tell her that I intended to do a Wagoon Review (hoping that would help make sure she sends me the absolute best), which (I think) resulted in her bringing Other Factory into the mix to help promote OF. As I understand it, we think The Row is the latest line to be added to Other Factory.
Seller Contact:
Whatsapp Ameila. I chose Amelia because she checked off all the boxes for me: Fast Communication, no fluff or niceties, and I happen to prefer fast and direct people. Her packages tend to get to people faster than other sellers (when I did a deep dive reviewing the other sellers in this sub), she reps the best factories for the brands I like.
  1. Paid 4.12.24
  2. QC Photos: 4.25.24
  3. Shipped 4.26.24
  4. Arrived at my doorstep: 5.09.24
Price Paid for Item:
Factory:
Amelia automatically sourced from two different factories without asking me. She DID tell me after I wired the money. I decided to just “trust the process” and as one redditor in this group suggested to me “do it for the REP SCIENCE”. When I asked her if there was a difference in quality she said “very little”. When I did research of OF in our sub, I saw that it had a good reputation for their leather quality, but no review for THE ROW.
Quality of your rep from your factory:
Kata Factory Margaux 10
Leather: The leather is thick, but very very soft and will have a nice slouch over time, right now it feels sturdy in quality. Smells great, feels great, feels expensive..will break in nicely
if only I hadn’t also received Other Factory’s Margaux 15 on the same day!
Stitching: Clean stitching except one area. There is a knot, which seems small and inconspicuous enough, but I really hope it doesn't undo and unravel. We shall see.
Hardware: just “fine”, passable, but could be better. The feet had scratches after the first day (and didn’t take it out of the house). I wish the hardware were just about 30% heavier.
Overall finishing: The finish and brand stamps are good and clean. I saw in another thread showing a Margaux AUTH with messy edge finishing on the seams, so I made sure to take close attention to mine. There is one spot that has a white line that I can’t get rid of, but since it’s on the bottom, it doesn’t bother me. Inside pocket looks clean.
Lining: Perf, no complaints here.
Other Factory Margaux 15
Leather: When reviewers in this sub said the leather from this manufacturer was REALLY GOOD, they weren’t kidding. OF is the winner here. The leather seems much better oiled or conditioned. The leather is thick and sturdy-ish and will break in nicely and will no doubt have a good slouch.
Stitching: Clean stitching
Hardware: just “fine”, passable, but could be better. I wish the hardware were just about 30% heavier.
Overall finishing: The finish and brand stamps are good and clean. Edge and seam finishing is very clean and well done. Inside pockets and zipper are great.
Lining: I can’t tell if it’s just me, but the lining does not fit perfectly in once small section. This is me being nitpicky. To a naked eye and if I were to hand this to someone, they probably wouldn’t tell. But, with my fashion school eye, it’s not fitting perfectly.
ACCURACY:
Extra curricular: Good blog post on how to spot a fake The Row

Accuracy write-up:
I do not own the AUTH nor have I ever touched The Row’s Margaux. Based on countless auth Margaux reviews, here is a breakdown on both factory’s:
Leather: Other Factory wins this round, the leather is far superior to Kata’s. They both smell incredible, I can’t stop sniffing the smokey leather, it smells rich. I can’t compare the leather to the real thing since I haven’t held an auth, but from pictures and review videos, they both look the same.
Foil Stamp: Kata wins here - the foil stamp is supposed to be a bit faded, like the authentic version. Other Factory’s foil stamp has no fading, but since I like to beat up my bags, I don’t think it will be hard to wear in OF’s foil stamp. Other Factory’s stamped logo has a font that is slightly more spaced out, but nothing too noticeable and because i don’t have an auth in person to compare it to, it’s hard for me to say which factory wins here.
Handles push test (see blog post above): The authentic handles are supposed to be soft and pass the “push test” (again see the blog post above). Both handles are soft, but Kata wins here, as the handles are softer.
Edging: The edging is supposed to be “perfect” and skinnier than fakes, however we have seen a picture of an authentic Margaux with terrible edging, so I am less worried about this. However, when I inspected both, the edging width seems to be on par with an authentic version and there were no bumps or tears. This being said the Kata had a slight white line (a very small nick!) on the bottom of the bag, but so small that it doesn’t bother me and nobody will ever see it. I could easily cover it up, but I don’t care enough.
Metal hardware: I can say with confidence that both versions fail here. Don’t be deterred, I have yet to find a rep from any factory of any brand pass my metal test. Nothing is ever as substantial as the real thing. It looks to me that they have the same metal material and both set of feet have already gotten some subtle scratches. Both versions have their branded feet facing each other, the correct way. Other Factory’s versions, like their gold stamp, have a font that has a spacing that is slightly wider. Hard to notice, IMO and since I don’t have an auth to compare it to in person, hard for me to say who wins out here.
Lining: Both have good quality lining that is the same color as the auth, but because I haven’t held the auth, hard to say if they are 100%. I will say that the OF version’s lining isn’t perfectly fitted, but hard to notice and I wouldn’t care if a friend went through my bag because they would never notice.
Pockets & Zippers: The zippers are never as good as the auth and I am guessing the same here. However, since I think everyone should lower their expectations when it comes to reps, I think the zipper on the Margaux 15 is very decent. Margau 10 does not have a zipper. Pockets are great on both. Functional, fits a phone on the bigger one.
Dust Bags: Both dust bags look authentic, shape, label, and the wide ribbon (vs the more narrow ribbon NS store uses). That being said, they are the thinnest dust bags of all the dust bags I've ever had in my life, if this matters eve.
BONUS:
Other Factory wins this round! The leather is just better, slightly softer, slightly more oiled in. This being said, if I had only received the Kata factory version, I would have been over the moon and I am over the moon and as you see in my review, Kata wins in other categories.
Rep Satisfaction (required)
Very, very, very happy with both. I can't stop smelling both of them (they have that rich leather smell). They look close enough to the correct thing that I am wearing them out and about daily, without thinking about. IT DOES SCRATCH MY AUTH ITCH, I am just as excited, proud, obsessed with my bags as if they were Auths. The same feeling I remember from buying my Auths! The small discrepancies don’t bother me as I don’t think anyone would be able to notice them, unless it were a SA doing a very close inspection, bright lights, magnifying glass, and all.
Seller Satisfaction (required)
Very happy with the seller Amelia. I saw that Wagooners received items from Amelia within 2-4 weeks and this was true for me too. I know people complain about how Amelia is cold and to the point, but I find her to be really fast and to the point in her communications. She is efficient and I like her services so far. Without asking, she made sure to source from the best factories for quality. I am still a bit confused as to why she sourced two different factories, except to get the word out on Other Factory making The Row. And well done, Other Factory DOES make great Row Reps. I guess if you are from NY, NJ, Boston, Asia, Eastern Europe go with Amelia. If you are from the Southern US states, TX, or California, find another rep! There’s no pleasantries with Amelia!

2024.05.12 00:01 Typical_Software_798 Stranger in a strange world

Preface: I started hammering this out not too long ago, with hopes of it extending to the truely amazing lengths that other stories have. Personally I doubt it will, but hey might be entertaining for a few people. Criticism is welcome, constructive criticism even more-so. Formatting is not my strong suit (mobile doesn’t help, nor does not knowing what the hell im doing), neither is pacing nor doling out enough detail to certain points, hopefully in time I will improve. Title may be subject to change, still iffy on it.
Kata surveyed the fields below her, searching for her quarry. The corrupted beast had three times now harassed the keep, harming multiple guards and killing a child. She gripped her bow harder, poor Ensia
just a little girl, ripped from the world too young.
She knew her parents and saw them mourn. It was heart wrenching, listening to them sob. Holding the orange blood stained body of their little girl.
She owed it to them to bring back the beast’s head. She kept a close eye on the ground below, looking for the black furred bear. It fled into the nearby woods.
Tree cover was common but did not prevent much visibility to the ground. She knew it was fairly small, and packed a mean bite, but she had her stinger, positioned at the end of her armored tail.
The red scales a sign of her bloodline, a relative of the royal family. As such, it was her sworn duty to protect her people and hunt down those who threaten them.
Minutes of careful gazing and hearty flying later and she spied her prey, positioned by a tree and ravenously devouring a still live deer. She couldn’t help but pity the deer, dying to feed such a beast. She watched as it struggled, trying to escape.
Kata began to swoop down to the two animals. After she had killed the bear, she would put down the deer. It would only be right.
Tucking in her wings, she began to dive, twisting around a tree and notching an arrow into her bow. Pulling up from the dive to coast a mere 10 feet above the ground, she let the arrow loose, hitting the bear in the back of the neck.
It reared back, roaring in pain as she slung her bow and drew her sword. Coming in low and fast, nimbly twisting around trees, she let her momentum work for the cut as she held it out at an angle.
Simultaneously, she readied her tail to nab a quick sting on the beast just in case the sword wouldn’t prove lethal. Meer moments later her sword cut deep into the bear, dragging along its neck like a guillotine. It hadn’t cut as deep as she would’ve liked, so as she passed the beast she whipped her tail down onto its back, her stinger piercing its thick hide and quickly delivering a dose of paralyzing venom.
Pulling up, she began to loop back around for a second swipe. Agilely twisting mid air to avoid hitting branches. The bear had began turning to face her, stiffly moving as the venom did its work. Confident in its potency, Kata continued forward, sure that the bear would not be able to fight back.
Only as she got too close to turn away had she realized her confidence was for nought, as it reared up onto its hind legs and took a mighty swipe at her, knocking her to the ground and cutting a nasty gash into her face
. As she hit the floor, her head filled with a searing pain like staring into the sun. She began to worry that the bear had hit her far too hard for her to recover and fight back, until with a thunderous clap and bolt of blue light the pain disappeared.
She quickly clambered to her feet, ready to face the bear once more, but to her shock, the beast wasn’t charging her. In fact, before her eyes was not just a bear, but a large building of metal and strange stone.
To her astonishment, the bear started to roar in pain. Looking around for the cause, she noticed a concerning sight. Its rear quarter of its body was fused into the structure. She stepped forward, blood from her face dripping down her neck in non-concerning quantities, inspecting the odd building.
Matthew stared excitedly at the workshop before him.
The most interesting room of the Nevada General Laboratory. A research center for robotics, genetics, botany, and most relevantly, quantum physics.
The mainstay of the Quantum Physics Department was the Quantum Breach Array. Theoretically capable of creating a portal to any point in space, perhaps even time.
The prior test of the array had not gone smoothly. When it was activated, a black bear sized animal had bolted out and started attacking researchers, biting a technician in the shoulder before scurrying back through the array. He had shut it down as soon as he could.
Mostly ignoring a handful of warnings, his boss was too excited about the prospect laid before him to slow down the research. Matthew couldn’t fault him. He was always chasing something exciting, and ever since his career in the military the thrills had to be bigger and more intense.
Seeing as he had combat experience, they’d bought him a fairly sturdy set of equipment from a surplus depot and plopped him down in the room. His technical expertise and education were more than enough to run the necessary equipment.
Perhaps they had gone a bit overkill, with night vision, full body kevlar and plates, M4, 1911, and lever action shotgun, but over equipped was better than under, and he didn’t mind the extra firepower.
He waited until the PA system crackled to life as the words rang out, the excited voices of the skeleton crew in the building.
The Q.P supervisor, two Q.P researchers, and 4 researchers from other departments which wanted to be present for the test. Technically, he wasn’t part of the Q.P department. He was just a technician working with robotics, but he hadn’t minded the hasty change to his job description.
A flurry of quickly hushed voices echoed through the speaker, before a clear concise sentence was beheld.
“Activate the array.”
Like a good grunt, Matthew did as he was told. Walking to the console and starting the device.
He felt sick to his stomach as the array buzzed to life and forced a hole through time and space. An unnatural feeling to be sure.
Stepping away from the console, he heard a capacitor burst and looked up in horror as the array buzzed louder and louder, the blue orb in the middle starting to expand.
Stepping back to the console, he fiddled with the controls, trying to shut it down. Error message after error message met his attempts, before a blinding flash of blue light and a piercing headache pervaded his concentration with a thunderous, seering mental pain.
He hadn’t even had the time to fall to his knees before it dissipated, he went to take a step back, but felt something give resistance, turning around to see something which shouldn’t be there.
A shrub, phased into the floor, right behind him. Had he been standing just a foot back, he’d likely be part of the plant. Atleast, he would be taking up the same space. Something told him that would not be a pleasant experience.
Giving the workshop before him a quick survey, the array was scorched, but the machinery around it was fine. Lathes, drill presses, other machines. He noticed a few patches of grass poking through the concrete floor, as he began walking around around.
With his first real steps around the area, he felt light and airy. Picking up a nearby wrench and dropping it, he noticed as it accelerated down, it was about half the rate it normally should.
Excitement rose in his stomach as the implications were clear, he was in a new world.
He had to see the reactions of the others. Opening the workshop door, he quickly made his way to the observation room. It was close, despite not needing to be. They watched via cameras.
More shrubs and tree limbs littered the halls, which hardly slowed him down. Reaching the observation room, he tried to push the door open to no avail. Giving it a harder push, he heard the crunching of tree limbs. His gut sank with dread as he called out to no response
“Hello?”
He took a few steps back before charging the door with his shoulder, one hit. More crunching. A second, the door opened more, and a third hit forced the door open all the way.
What he saw within did not assuage his concern, as the room was filled with thick tree limbs. Through the leaves and branches he could see bits of lab coats. He could only mumble two words as reality dawned on him
“Dear God.”
All excitement vanished from his mind. He no longer desired to explore the new location before him. It had gotten people killed. Injuries can be treated, but catching a case of death?
Matthew took a deep breath, before closing the door to the observation room and walking down the hall. Heading towards an office, he opened the door and rummaged through one of his coworkers desks.
She was saving the bottle of whiskey for when the array was stable and could be reliably used, celebrating the hard work it took. It was a good bottle too, 20 years old. But she wasn’t going to drink it. None of the staff were, the facility has clearly moved.
The thought crossed his mind, imagine how confused the other departments must be when they show up for work in the morning. Pull into the gravel road, but no building meets them.
The thought of their confused faces forced a small grin on his face. But it didn’t last. Stepping over to a window, he gazed out to the landscape before him. It definitely was not the deserts of Nevada.
Placing his hand onto the window latch to open it, he felt a small static shock.
Kata walked up to the odd stone wall before her. It was quite bumpy and rough, looking as if it were sandstone, yet granite at the same time.
She wondered what it was, and where it was cut from. More importantly, she wondered how it got here. Godly intervention? A sorcerer messing up a spell?
Pulling her from her curious examination, the trapped, corrupt bear let out a low whine, as its forelimbs gave way, hanging awkwardly from its odd binds.
Walking over and hoisting her sword high, and bringing it down hard. Stabbing it between the eyes.
Thick black blood oozed out onto the blade, smelling like the rancid corruption it had been tainted with.
She was both concerned and angry. More and more tainted creatures had been popping up and they couldn’t find the source. It was frustrating, and she couldn’t do anything about it.
Corruption searches needed large, well trained units, along with plenty of supplies and squires. Searches took weeks, and it was imperative all casualties be accounted for. Such forces can only be mustered by houses which have months of preparation.
Returning to the building once more, she slowly outstretched her hand to touch it. Once her fingers neared close enough, a small arc zapped her fingers. Pulling her hand back with a small yelp she looked around, surprised.
The gears turned in her head, a weird building did a weird thing. Weird. But not weirder than it just showing up. Slowly reaching out to touch it again, focusing intently, she was startled by the sound of cracking from above.
She immediately drew her bow and notched an arrow, looking up to where the noise originated. She saw a hand pushing open a window, and acted automatically, letting the arrow loose straight at the hand, cutting a gash into its back.
Had it been parallel to the ground, the arrow would have cleanly pierced the palm. A yell sounded out from the open window followed by words. Foreign words, but words nonetheless.
Kata winced, she thought it was a threat, something tainted. But the corrupted don’t speak. If she were in that situation, she’d probably be swearing, so she guessed that’s what they were.
She called out to the voice, hoping they understood her
“Sorry! So sorry! I thought you could’ve been one of the corrupted!”
Slinging her bow and taking a few steps back, she leaped up to the window, beating her wings to gain more height on the jump. Grabbing onto the ledge and vaulting in, she continued to apologize, atleast, until she was cut off by another yell before a hard impact connected with her head
“OHB’JESUS”
She did not know what an “ohb’jesus” was but she certainly knew the person exclaiming that could pack a punch. Stumbling to her right, she bumped into a desk of sorts and used that to steady herself.
Looking at the person she accidentally attacked and who, to her, reasonably struck back, she was confused by the sight. They were not of her own people. They were slightly shorter than her, but a lot stockier. No wings, tail, or specialized ears. They had pale skin, a compact face, and weird legs. They also wore clothes made of a material unlike anything she’d seen before. They stood firmly, fists raised, ready to throw another punch, something she’d rather not have to deal with. She raised her hands out in front of her, in an expression of ‘lets calm down here, shall we?’
Matthew stood fists raised as a genuinely surprising sight stood before him. A manticore thing, though humanoid in posture. New world, new peoples he supposed. Regardless, he hadn’t expected to get shot nor for someone to just fly through the window, so he clocked them in the face.
He hadn’t hit too hard, but it still sent them stumbling to a desk. He was just about to throw another when they held up their hands.
Hopefully it meant the same thing to both parties, as he shifted his posture and took a step back.
Hopefully they were here to apologize, cause his hand hurt like hell. They began speaking, gesturing with their hands in what seemed like an apology, but Matthew couldn’t be certain. He had no clue what they were saying, new world and thus, new languages.
After a moment of confused staring, they pointed at his hand, to which he just gave a thumbs up. He thought they were offering to help with his hand, something which seemed like a nice gesture but Matthew knew he could fix it better. Unless they had magic.
Now that was something, the excitement of the situation wormed its way back into him.
He cautiously held out his hand, letting them come forward. He used that opportunity to get a good look at them.
They were slightly taller than him, like someone standing on their toes, and casting a quick glance down revealed that’s quite literally why. Their legs were digitigrade. Adding to that, they had wings, a scaled tail, and a mean looking stinger capping it off.
Looking at their face, it was odd. It looked like a shrunk down and slightly misshapen lion's head mixed with that of a humans.
After getting over the mild oddness of the sight, he noticed a mean cut on the side of their head, bleeding bright orange blood.
‘Wonder how they got that’
He thought to himself as he watched curiously as they began to take some items out of a bag. In short order he was disappointed to notice that they were rudimentary bandages.
He withdrew his hand and sighed, seeming to confuse the
person? He was going to go with a person. Before him. If his hand was simply going to be bandaged, he’d rather do it himself.
Walking over to a first aid kit, mounted just under a fire alarm, he opened it and took out a pack of zip stitches and a bandage. He gestured for the manticore person to come over, as he demonstrated the use of the supplies.
Apply the zip stitch, pull, adhere, and place a bandage over it. He gestured to their own injury. He might as well, at the very least, it could build some good will with the locals

I will be in thailand for a month next month and trying to figure out the perfect itinerary is overwhelming. So I did something a little dumb but the idea sounded fun. I asked chatgpt to give me the perfect itinerary. I used it a while back for a work out plan and thought it wasn't bad at all so I thought, why not?

It has a few of the cities I was planning on visiting and more I never heard of. The one thing that is different is that it's suggesting 2-3 by place while I was thinking a week but I think staying shorter amount of time is better?

Days 4-6: Ayutthaya
Days 7-8: Kanchanaburi
Week 2: Northern Thailand
Days 9-12: Chiang Mai
Days 13-15: Pai

2024.05.08 12:57 FrodoBaggins358 I need HELP creating my character!

I tried using the Roll20. net character creation page to give me some guidelines plus the core rulebook but I'm still kinda lost as how many powers from sets I can take but also they don't have all of them in roll20, I was hopping people from internet that knows better than me could help :' )
So my RANK 3 (you can go 4 too if needed) character: The main theme for his super powers is "GUN-FU" or "Gun-Kata" (he can use his guns as melee weapons for martial arts and is great at shooting, think of The Matrix, Dante from Devil May Cry or even Albert Wesker from Resident Evil), he has 2 iconic Revolvers (made by his personal tech-person, guy/girl of the chair)
For other relevant powers his martial arts are all about evading and counter attacks. has very hightened senses so he can react quickly, accuracy, acrobatics (for action scene shots), all that has to do with not being hit and trigger happy + some martial ability, he is stronger than the average human, but I don't think he is "super man strong", maybe as strong as spiderman or miles morales, thinking on 4 in Melee and 6 in Agility.
Personality: He used to have a very serious problem of anger but now he has reabilitated by a special training with some aikido martial artist who saw his potential and super powers, he doesn't take people serious as he is over confident with his abilities, he does care for people in need who cant defend, even tho he is kind of an anti-hero he can choose not to end a life if not necesary
His hero name is "Revolvo Striker" (open to suggestions, thanks a lot!)

2024.05.07 11:48 No_Summer4199 I finally lost my faith in my parents, they literally criminalized normal things...

I'm 19M staying in Hostel far from my hometown because I got admission in tier 4 city gov college
So the thing is When I visited home, my father caught me watching porn at 3 a.m.( pure din me privacy nai milti and hostel me to pata hi hota h ak room me 3-4 bande vha bi privacy nai milti), video wasn't even started and they came and grabbed me by my neck from behind and literally slammed me down like those WWE fighters do, literally😭), then he grabbed my phone and went into his room and came again then muje bi pakad k le gye apne room me(literally jese koi police bande ko pakad k khich k leke jati h) and they started parents talk at 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. for straight 3 hours at night....
First my mom started shouting k mobile JAPT kar lo iska pele to(literally word that is used with criminal), koi jarurat nai h kal nikalne ki, ticket cancel kar do(me next day college k liye nikal rha tha hostel), then suddenly they both started crying like muje bas apna bachha sahi salamat chaiye aur kuch nai chaiye zindgi me, so I got shocked and asked what happened?
Then they started ranting about how my mama's life is now at worst condition( in short: 15 years ago a girl started talking to him on phone like this for months and months and proposed him just few months ago of his arrange marriage with conditions like me kisi ko nai manaugi, me bhag k shadi nai karungi, Jo karna h tuje karna h and all, so he broke up a marriage which family arranged but that girl back outs after he broke up marriage and then depression and toxicity at peak for 6 years and all shit happened then usk baad kahi aur bi shadi k liye koi ha nai bol rha tha to mama ne maximum kaleshi aurat se shadi kar li kyunki vo Sundar dikhti thi, in all this my nana suffered from all sides like samaj se, apne sasural se and mama bi bohot kalesh karte the har din and all, because of this much depression and stress for 15 years, he got brain tumor and died even without seeing his grandchild jise mami ne Milne hi nai diye akhri dino me),
now they misunderstood at first that I was talking to a girl at 3 a.m. and i do this everyday so mom started shouting mama ne aese hi zindgi kharab kar di mre parents ki, tuje bi yhi karna he kya? and all, so I argued how time is changed now and I know this stuff because aaj kal college me kese kese lafde hote h pata hi he and tried to convince them don't worry that much about me(vahi vale jo aap soch rhe h )...
Then mom said exactly, that's why I don't want you to go to out of town, pata hi tha bachhe hath se nikal jate h teri tarah, and argued we know why you had to go to that shitty tier 4 college and not got admission in top colleges in tier 2 city like us, pele hi larkiyo k chakkar me Top colleges to chali gai, aese hi hostel me rha to zindgiya barbad karega tu, hame apna beta ankho k samne hi chaiye and all...
(Since childhood, i had to listen to mom k tane k how my "bua's" got love married and samaj me nak kata Diya and log kesi kesi bate karte he since I was in primary, even in that put me in all boys school till 10th, so I didn't had any female interaction till 10th and was in deep fear to talk in tution also then I started junior college and I didn't hard worked that much since I was busy and stuck in figuring out what is a girl and how to talk to girls and tried to get into situationship and all shit as late teenager), so I argued you were the person who was treating me like criminal, really i was even scared to save her phone number and literally memorized those and was clearing history regularly like I was dealing dru*s and i was cleaning it's chat history and all since they check my phone in every couple of days even now when I go home(by shouting parents he tere aesa kya Ganda and ILLEGALLY Kam kar rha h tu k phone Dene se Darna pade han?)
So I finally replied you were the reason I stuck into larkibazi(unhe vahi word use Kara tha isliye exact word), since bachpan se hamesa Ghar me aesa mahol rakha tha k dar lage, isliye Mera time waste hua important, so they again started shouting we were the one who were asking you and teasing you many times like larkiyo k sath ghumne gya tha kya?(Pure 2 saal me sirf 1 baar bahar cafe/restaurant me larkiyo k sath Jane ki himmat Hui thi inke dar se),Ya Aaj kal bohot bahar ja rha h kisi k sath han? (This were the efforts in just last sem because baju vale liberal Sharma ji apne larke k sath bohot Frank the aur ham ma-bap-beta nahi the)...
So I finally tried to end the argument by saying please don't worry much about me, me kisi bi hisab se nahi bigda hu while I was crying (people still taunts me at college for being too much sida aadmi, aaj bi kabi normally 7 baje bad hostel k bahar per nai rakhta me), but they still taunted me like so jao bachha to hath se nikal gya lagta he while they were crying..
And again at next evening my mom started scolding and shouting at me like how it's too low level to watch porn and that's why they get boys married at 21 In mom's hometown ( my fathers side family is less conservative and chill but my mom's side families are too much conservative and toxic, specially in their hometown ), and final argument they done was agar hame laga k tu aese hi hath se nikal rha he aesi hi gandi aadate rhi to me Teri 2-3 saal me shadi Kara dungi
Later on father tried to console me and chill the things like don't worry that much i ain't gonna let her do that, and I will send you those links if you really want to watch(he was joking)...
But the problem is mummy don't listen to papa many times and sometimes too much possessive about me that it becomes painful, please help...
Tldr: zindgi k maze chhor k sabse sidha larka bana Raha to bi mar pad rhi h parents se tu bigad gya karke😭

2024.05.03 22:43 stringbean9311 Yamato deck

Yamato deck
Just waiting on 07 to come out so I can add Otama searcher then I'll switch things up again. Just curious if anyone has any suggestions in the mean time that I can use to strengthen this deck. EB Hiyori is pretty sweet I definitely see the benefits of that card immediately. Kinda wish I had more blockers but green Wano cat is kinda meh in this meta it just gets popped or bottom decked instantly. Maybe Gan or Hoshi blockers from EB? I like the Ace from st13, it's a nice alternative to Hody when I don't want to take the risk of losing a life. Bege is a nice life trigger and additional counter or throw away card for events. I placed 5th at my local out of 14 the last couple times I went. I'm sure I could get those numbers up.....or down in this case lol. Saka and Kata usually get me in the end. I'd also like to add some 5c Yamatos (SEC) whenever I get some.
