2024.05.19 17:20 alirawright Supplements for weight loss?
Yes I know, overly asked question. And before you start saying āchange diet and exerciseā ā¦.. I am a non smoker, non-drinker, adhd, ptsd, ocd. Have been on a naturopathic elimination diet for 9 weeks to help my mental health. Go to therapy twice a week. Get 15,000-20,000 steps a day. Highly physical mental and physical full time job. Walk daily through a park with a river. Not seeing any results with my weight though and itās starting to concern me. I gained close to 50lbs in a year after quitting smoking and experiencing extreme trauma & grief. Only medications are nuvaring & sabutomal inhaler. 28f, 5ā4, 170lbs.
Supplements Iām on now: Vitamin C, vitamin d, magnesium bi-glycinate, 5-htp, l-tyrosine, pysllium husk, chelidonium plex(temporary) and d-hist(temporary) I also drink a mix of turmeric, black pepper, ginger, cinnamon & cayenne pepper 2x a day for pain management in 40oz of water.
Any input is appreciated š

| How can she lose weight eating 15 point yogurts? I know WW determines how many points you can eat in a day based on weight and Iām sure her allowance is significantly higher than what Iām used to. I also know that she gets more points for working out. But 15 points for a Greek yogurt? It just doesnāt make sense with her weight loss journey. Sheād have to have an allowance of 50 points a day to even make this rational. Maybe Iām the odd one out whoād never waste 15 points on a yogurt. š submitted by Express-Hedgehog8249 to balancedmissbailey [link] [comments] |

2024.05.19 17:10 Molehill_Mountains Shot 13 Update (5mg)
| UK based. Thirteenth post in my accountability series. Using this as a progress diary since startihg my weight loss journey on 12th Feb 2024. Started the week at 154.2 (down 1.6lbs from) 155.8 the week before. Now this has been an interesting week to say the least. With 3 weeks left on MJ (I canāt afford to do any longer) I wanted to push the boundaries a little. I wanted to see what wiggle room I have. Iāve made some real changes with walking, drinking water and portion size, to the point that my body water % is up 3% since making my health a priority, and my average daily steps has doubled. Now this isnāt to say Iām not going to continue with these great habits, but I wanted to see how affected Iād be if I didnāt do these things consistently. This week I switched out some of my water for lightly flavoured sparkling water on occasion (think appletiser) and had a glass or two of Prosecco a few weeks after work with my husband (had a few days of work and was feeling a lot more chilled than usual). Brother in law stayed over from Wednesday to Friday. Even though heās very health conscious, I think his presence threw things off food wise in the house. Husband was more keen to get takeaway and snacks. Itās not necessarily because bro in law wants them, but I think husband feels happy and at peace when heās around and fully relaxes. I love that, but not necessarily the food effect. I stayed eating the way I have but I had a KFC drum stick and some small chips (very delicious treat, but definitely more than enough). Husband has been very congratulatory about my weight loss. I wanted us to go through this together as we were both unhealthy, overweight and have been through the rigmaroles of weight loss countless times, but he wasnāt ready. After bro in law left on Friday, and seeing my progress husband spoke to me about being interested in MJ. Iām excited for him if itās a step he chooses to take. We had Mexican for dinner on Friday after dropping our little one off at my parents house. I stuck to two appetisers which were protein and salad heavy and seasoned with lime for extra flavour. Delicious. What a relief it is to eat with my stomach instead of my eyes. Iām no longer exhausted thinking about food, I know how much will satisfy me and I donāt go beyond that, because why would I? Saturday morning rolled round. Husband and I were busy and some friends very kindly offered to look after our dog overnight. We dropped him off and they were very surprised and congratulatory about my weight loss. We see them every few weeks but now the weather is changing, Iām not bundled in jumpers like usual and I guess my weight loss really showed. I didnāt really know what to say! I think Iām almost getting a little embarrassed now. I think I need to work on saying thank you, and knowing that thatās a full and complete sentence. Baby steps with that I guess. On Saturday afternoon I had a big brunch that was booked from a few months ago and lovely fried rice dish and unlimited Prosecco / woo woo drinks for a few hours. I happily ate my portion of food, taking my time to chew eat and enjoy, rather than wolfing it down like I used to. The flavour was delicious and I really enjoyed it and had time to think about how much I was enjoying it. Itās wild that I didnāt do this before. Now the drinksā¦ I read a lot on Reddit and otherwise about the averse side effects people have even after a couple of light alcoholic drinks, so Iāve always been cautious about have 0-1 drinks if I do have a drink with MJ. Hand on heart, I lost count after 6 Proseccos, and had a few more in the pub afterwards. I had a small glass of water between drinks when I could remember. I was fully expecting to throw up or have a terrible tummy, but I write this now at 6:47am on a Sunday morning, waking up happy and well rested without even a whiff of a hangover, ready to resume my regular schedule (MJ shot, walk, healthy eating). I think I had a lucky escape, but it definitely isnāt something Iām in a rush to repeat. But a part of me wonders if Iām ok because of all the changes Iāve made. This is now a little blip rather than the norm. Iām not really sure what my update is about today other than surprise. My son is with his grandparents for the weekend, and I guess I had a big relax. But Iām ready to get back to normal. Itās so interesting how aware I am of how my diet has changed. This would be something I could mindlessly do on a Friday and Saturday without thinking before. It wouldnāt have been an active choice. Looking in the mirror, I like what I see and how I feel. Iāve readjusted my goal weight again since I feel I look good now (and looking good on the inside according to my stats), so would be happy with the top of the range. Iām really focussed on body recomposition and have started a home programme of 20 minutes of exercise after the little one has gone to bed. As I expected, thereās nothing interesting to report stat wise, but I enjoyed the week. 2024.05.19 17:10 Healthyreviews- How to Reduce Belly Fat: Practical Tips and Strategies
| If you're looking to shed some belly fat, you're not alone! Many people find it challenging to lose weight in this area, but with the right approach, it's definitely achievable. Here are some tips and strategies that can help: https://preview.redd.it/gbywgtn4ge1d1.png?width=244&format=png&auto=webp&s=a47aa0ea33a28bb1be19a25b730664f5957d0f01 1. Focus on a Balanced Diet: - Reduce Sugar and Refined Carbs: Limit your intake of sugary foods and drinks, as well as refined carbs like white bread and pastries.
- Eat More Protein: Protein can boost your metabolism and help reduce cravings. Include sources like lean meats, fish, eggs, and legumes.
- Healthy Fats: Incorporate healthy fats such as avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil.
- Fiber-Rich Foods: Soluble fiber can help reduce belly fat by promoting feelings of fullness and aiding digestion. Good sources include oats, flaxseeds, and vegetables.
2. Exercise Regularly: - Cardio Workouts: Activities like walking, running, cycling, and swimming can help burn calories and reduce overall body fat.
- Strength Training: Building muscle through exercises like weight lifting can increase your metabolism and help you burn more fat.
- Core Exercises: While spot reduction isn't possible, strengthening your core with exercises like planks, crunches, and leg raises can improve muscle tone.
3. Stay Hydrated: - Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Sometimes, thirst is mistaken for hunger, leading to overeating.
4. Get Enough Sleep: - Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night. Poor sleep is linked to weight gain and increased belly fat.
5. Manage Stress: - High stress levels can lead to weight gain around the midsection due to the hormone cortisol. Try stress-reducing activities like yoga, meditation, or deep breathing exercises.
6. Consistency is Key: - There's no quick fix for losing belly fat. Consistency in your diet, exercise, and lifestyle habits is crucial for long-term success.
7. Consider Professional Guidance: - If you're struggling, consulting a dietitian, personal trainer, or healthcare provider can provide personalized advice and support.
Feel free to share your own tips and experiences in the comments. Remember, everyone's body is different, so what works for one person might not work for another. Stay patient and keep making healthy choices! TL;DR: To reduce belly fat, focus on a balanced diet, regular exercise (both cardio and strength training), staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, managing stress, and being consistent. Consider seeking professional advice for personalized guidance. Good luck on your journey to a healthier you! 2024.05.19 17:02 Craig_Dubya E-trike Advantages and Disadvantages
| https://preview.redd.it/ljp39ehbee1d1.jpg?width=2093&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9f27ddb6d1ca20cb5949a79050027d8f0c605fca f you are new to the world of e-triking and considering your first purchase, the advantages vs disadvantages of e-trikes is an important topic. What disadvantages will be experienced if I choose to get an e-trike rather than a āānormalā trike? The positives are manyā¦more efficient exercise, hill-climbing power, plus great speed for crossing busy intersections. And donāt forget ease of use for people who suffer with arthritic knees, sore backs, degrading hips, etc. But what about the negatives e-trike ownership? Advantages vs Disadvantages of E-trikes Most e-trike riders are enthusiastic about the advantages of their electric vehicles. Itās also important to be aware of the disadvantages. Letās take a closer look at those few disadvantages worth mentioning: weight, price, range, and maintenance. Weight They are big and beautiful, and in general, e-trikes are heavier than conventional tricycles of the same size. A 20ā³ e-trike similar to the Mooncool TK1 Fat Tire pictured above can weigh upwards of 90 pounds. If handling that much weight is difficult for you, then you might have to get creative with some details of e-triking. For example, if you expect to transport the trike, make sure you have a plan for loading it onto a vehicle. Be wary of e-trikes that weigh less than 80 pounds. Unfortunately, this type of e-trike normally has much less motor power and a less capable battery. Also, it is often more expensive. Mooncool e-trikes provide greater stability, traction, power, range, and comfort. That additional comfort, power, and safety means greater weight is a necessity. You canāt have the combination of a sturdy frame, powerful motor, and long-lasting battery without the accompanying weight. Price The ancient adage āyou get what you pay forā can certainly be applied to e-trikes. To get all the advantages that come with a high-powered motor, strong battery, and comfortable fat tires ā well, we have to dig a little deeper into the wallet. The very things that we love the most about e-trikes, including the amazing fuel economy, are the same things that add substantially to the price! The Big Bucks Components Motor Battery Brakes These three items account for a significant portion of the increase in price as compared to buying a conventional tricycle. The electric motor, preferably at least 500 watts, ads $350 ā $500 to the price you pay for your e-trike. A decent battery adds $500-$900 ā varying with size, quality, volts and amp hours. The heavier weight of an e-trike makes disk brakes very advisableā¦either mechanical or hydraulic. And that will add another $50 ā $250 to the cost of your e-trike. A little quick addition tells you an e-trike can easily cost $1000 more than a conventional tricycle of similar quality. But what a difference! That $1000 expense makes cycling possible for many people who thought they would never ride again. This would not be possible without the assistance of a motorized tricycle. Range Naturally, everyone wants an e-trike that can handle a long ride. Technology will eventually catch up with demand. Sadly, at the moment, we must be satisfied with lesser ranges. It is possible to configure your e-trike for carrying two batteries (also more expensive). Without 2 batteries, you can forget about riding more than 40-50 miles on a single battery charge. If you are not content with a 40-50 mile range, then range must be considered a disadvantage. On the positive side, many riders find that they rarely have the need or desire to travel more than 20-30 miles on one ride. On average, with light-to-medium pedaling, most e-trikes can achieve a range of at least 30-50 miles. Also of real importance, range varies from person to person. It is vastly affected by terrain, wind, tire pressure, and rider weight plus gear weight. If you are a commuter, an e-trike may well be a great solution to rising fuel prices. A 30-mile round trip could cost you $3-$6 in gasoline. The same trip will require only 4 cents in electrical costs for riding your e-trike. Every time you make a quick trip to the local grocer, thatās another $2-$3 saved in fuel expense. Over time, it adds up to a substantial savings! Maintenance Owning an e-trike is a significant investment in better health, exercise, and enjoyment. Certainly, it follows that good maintenance is important. As noted above, motors can be expensive, and so can motor repair. Tires, battery, chain, frame, brakesā¦it all requires good maintenance habits. Indeed, an annual trip to a local bike shop is a good idea, just to ensure you havenāt overlooked anything. Perhaps the most important consideration for your e-trike is safetyāyour personal safety as a rider. Of course, that makes regular and careful maintenance a priority for every e-trike owner. https://preview.redd.it/g5gs5c7gee1d1.jpg?width=1827&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2fe27dc6863d0146b9ce390c14d7630451e88061 So there you have itāweight, price, range, and maintenance. All four are very important, and all four require extra expense for both the manufacturer and the consumer. Taking all that into consideration, hereās the big question: All in All, do I Want an E-trike? For most riders, the answer is an unequivocal āYes!ā The pleasures of e-biking are phenomenal, and the fuel savings are quite significant, accumulating quickly. Then, when you consider the health benefits, the pendulum swings far in favor of e-triking. Additionally, many physically challenged people find that an e-trike makes all the difference. Suddenly, they can once again enjoy outdoor cycling, even as they gain in strength and flexibility. Senior adults who thought they would never enjoy any sport again are now riding e-trikes daily! Of course, for those with balancing problems, riding on 3 wheels instead of 2 wheels makes cycling possible again! Lowering the Price Barrier Mooncool has a strong commitment to customer support. That commitment includes providing a high-quality electric trike at the lowest possible price point. Etrike shoppers will quickly recognize that choosing Mooncool is a sound financial decision. 2024.05.19 17:01 hiyokos Help! How do I feel less frumpy as a stay at home mom to a toddler?
Hi! Iām a stay at home mom so my only trips out are usually the grocery store or the park. I hate how frumpy I feel. I recently cut my hair to chin length after having it almost waist length and while I like it, I feel like I look too much like āa momā.
My daily outfit is usually leggings and a tshirt or pullover. Leggings work good because theyāre stretchy and Iām always sitting down or putting things away. I hate feeling constricted in jeans and how I canāt stretch.
I like dresses and skirts but I feel like they make me look too fancy. I also hate anything short and usually prefer midi length or a tunic length dress that I can wear leggings under. Whatās the middle ground? The tops also have to be nursing friendly. Iām also on a budget too.
I take care of myself and exercise and recently loss the baby weight. I love skincare and makeup but the fashion department is the issue.

2024.05.19 17:01 cutiepie6900 extreme weight loss in a very short time
extreme weight loss in a short time
preface: i gained about 60 pounds from 2020-2023. for reference i am a 20 year old, 4ā11 female so i was left overweight. i know that i have always had body dysmorphia but never considered that i could have an eating disorder. i thought that my eating issues were just not extreme enough to be considered a disorder or that if i brought it up then i would just be asking for attention. i see pictures of me from years ago at 100-120lbs and cannot even imagine how at that time i thought i was fat. it makes me really upset remembering how disappointed i was with my body when now i look at those pictures and think that i was perfect.
about two years ago i started looking for treatment for ADHD, depression, and anxiety. and for the past two years psychiatrists only thought my mental health issues (not eating disorder) were due to depression and not ADHD. so i tried many ssriās that didnāt work. i was finally diagnosed with ADHD a few months ago and got prescribed adderall. i have had an addiction to adderall for the past two years, hence why i wanted to be diagnosed with ADHD for the prescription. so having that medication solved my school and depression issues. however, now there are more problems.
today: so since i have been taking adderall for the past few months, i have not noticed any physical changes to my body. but about two weeks ago i noticed that my jeans were falling off so much that i couldnāt even wear crop tops anymore bc you would straight up be able to see my ass when i sit down. i have about 4-5 inches off of my waist on my jeans and i canāt believe i only noticed it two weeks ago. i think i was so caught up in thinking that i was fat that i just didnāt even think losing weight was a possibility. i have spent my whole life without a scale in my house bc i knew it would take over my life. now that i noticed the significant difference in the way my clothes fit me i was curious, so i bought a scale. i have lost 35 pounds since this february. i have no idea when exactly this weight loss happened but it has just been a lot more lately now that im noticing it.
basically, adderall makes me not hungry all. most days now i go without eating anything and if i do eat, it isnāt anything healthy. i donāt obsess over the food that i eat but now that i know i am losing weight i can tell that subconsciously i am deciding not to eat even when i am hungry. consciously i convince myself that i am not hungry.
i love that i am losing weight. i hate that it isnāt in a healthy way. i know itās bad but i donāt want to stop this trend. i want to get to a healthy weight and then work to keep that weight in a healthy way.
itās difficult because now my bosses at work are starting to notice that there may be an issue. my shifts are 12-9pm and i donāt take a break to eat or take a break in general. the other day she told me that i need to take a break to eat and i said that im okay. the next day we went to dinner after work and they ordered appetizers that i didnāt eat because i didnāt like them, not because i wasnāt hungry. she asked if i wanted any to which i said no thank you. she then tells me that im a strong girl because i can hold myself back from food lmfao. but then she asks āwhat have you eaten todayā so i just kinda laughed a little bit and go āfoodā LOL. the subject changed really quick by some miracle since there were a lot of other people. i think they really only noticed that i havenāt been eating because a few days ago i forgot to take my meds which made me hungry that day. i asked to take a break to get food which was my first time doing that since i started working there in february.
i feel a lot happier knowing that i am losing weight but it scares me what i could be doing to my body. i have so many things wrong with my body that have come up the past couple of months and now i am starting to wonder if it is because i am practically starving myself. i avoid going to the doctor because i assume that the issues will go away or that i can handle them myself.
anyways, i honestly am not looking for advice, i just wanted to say it somewhere since i havenāt really told anyone how bad it really is. i know what i need to do to fix the issue and i hope to go to the doctor soon. but if you feel like you want to say something, please do:)

2024.05.19 16:55 Icy_Algae_9558 Debating second surgery in UK
Hi all, I had gyno surgery 5 years ago in dubai. I got gyno from taking oral steroids and not taking a pct. While, I feel that the gland has been removed, I think there's a bit of flab under my arms and if I lean forward, there's a triangular moob sticking out. So I'm wondering , why does this remain if the gland has been removed. I'm going to try and lose 15lbs and then consider surgery. Tbh I think , it looks less noticeable when I'm carrying more weight. Anyways, could I just get lipo and would that be cheaper ? I'm based in the UK currently. But would be willing to travel. Though, best to do it here for aftercare. Oh while I'm on the subject, I was offered love handle lipo before. I seem to have big trouble shifting fat from this region. Is that a side effect of steroid use too ? I bet if i do manage to shift it , it will only accentuate my chest more. Anyways. Thanks.

2024.05.19 16:54 InsaneAdam Update: What 100 lbs off looks like. Day 112.
| 320-220 March 2023 320 January 2024 303 May 2024 220 On day 112, going to day 200. 112 days of swapping between OMAD and extended water fasting. With 30 minutes of walking daily for first 100 now it's 1hr walk daily, will add weights next week. Here is what I take daily with a gallon of water. Walmart. Salt/peppeSeasoning isle. For the pink Himalayan salt, potassium no salt substitute. Walmart supplement isle for Magnesium and multivitamin. 2.5g-5g SODIUM, THAT'S SODIUM, not salt Sodium is inside salt. It makes up a big but not whole part of salt. So make sure you're measuring by the sodium amounts and not the salt amounts For my pink Himalayan salt, it comes out to 1 tablespoon (the bigger spoon), not the 3x little tea spoon ones 3.5g potassium mixed into a gallon of water. For my no-salt potassium, it also comes out to 1 heaping teaspoon (the smaller spoon), not the big table spoon. A flat teaspoon is 2.8g for me. 400-600mg Magnesium pills. 2x daily multivitamins. That's what I take during a water fast. Now, if I'm over two weeks, I'll add vitamin C, b12/B-complex, calcium, and D3. Himalayan Chef Pink Salt 1lb Bag https://www.walmart.com/ip/359695093 Keep your caffeine and nicotine levels the same during the fasts as it was before the fasts. Drink a gallon of electrolyte water a day if you can, but you got to really try. Take a multivitamin or 2x daily. Have over-the-counter heartburn medicine on hand. Break the fasts with food and an Anti-dierrehhrial like immodium. Don't weigh during the extended water fast. Wait two days after. Follow up extended water fasting with OMAD and a diet of 50% protein, 40-50%fat 0-10% carbs. Count calories a day or 2 or 3 days every few months to help keep an idea of what each meal is actually getting you in terms of macro and micro nutritional contents. -Adam submitted by InsaneAdam to fasting [link] [comments] |
2024.05.19 16:53 Philatios Blood in Mucus
25M, 5'10 220 lbs (slightly overwright), non-smoker.
To preface, I have recently been getting treated for some chest pains I had over the last year. Dr. says it's some acid reflux so ive been taking pepcid 20mg twice daily as of about a month ago. Id had a couple nights were the reflux was bad before getting the medicine where my throat was burning and I was coughing a bit. Occasionally now though I start to taste a bit of blood, usually without any coughing and then I'll suddenly feel like I need to clear my throat. This has led me to try and spit out mostly clear saliva or white mucus, but sometimes there's a little blood. Typically stops within 10 minutes and doesn't seem to be triggered by anything in particular. This morning I sneezed and got the feeling and had more blood in the mucus than I normally do, it lasted 30ish minutes. Usually it's very minimal spots of blood here and there. This time it wasn't more than a teaspoon by any means but definitely more than the past. I have a followup for reflux in a couple months, should I schedule another visit because of this? I had an x-ray feb 2023 because I went to the ER for chest pains and they said everything looked good then. Is it possible for things like lung cancer to develop in that the time since then? 15 months? I'm not having issues breathing, no weight-loss, no pain when it happens. Haven't had chest pain like I went into the ER for since then. I'm not currently showing any cold symptoms, I did get 3 short colds within the first 3 months of this year, but I was traveling a bit around the US and in Spain. Any thoughts? I cant attach a photo here but DM me if it'd help.

2024.05.19 16:53 Rosecello Does anyone know anything about hospital bariatrics dept weight loss programs? My doctor is saying she hasn't had success recommending patients to a nutritionist.
I don't know anything about proper dieting so I reached out to my doctor. I've got some things working against me causing a lot of rapid weight gain especially in the last year: genetics (whole family's morbidly obese), PCOS, bipolar depression, antipsychotics and lots of stress from being poor.
I'm a little surprised that I'm asking my doc directly for a dietician and she said she hasn't had success with it, and offered to get me into a weight loss program with their bariatric department instead.
Are dieticians and nutritionists not good sources of info? Should I seek one out on my own? I need to be taught about dieting, as doing my own online research overwhelms me and I'm not sure what to believe and don't want to take a bunch of random diet advice without a professional weighing in so I don't actually cause myself more problems.
Also, if anyone knows anything about these bariatric weight loss programs, I'd love to hear about your experience with them.

2024.05.19 16:51 Weird_Tumbleweed_720 Itās been a month! Wow, the changes. š¤Æ
I posted this the other day, but I think the subreddit didnāt like that I included underwear progress pictures so Iām trying again. I started my journey with tirzepatide on April 17, so Iām officially one month down! Wanted to give a little recap and review for those who have followed along so far! Also TW super responder
31F / 5'4" / SW: 175lbs / CW: 160lbs / GW: ???
Never took name brand Mounjaro or Zep. My main goal was to lose weight and improve my fertility and get myself in better shape before trying for another baby. I'm a little over a year postpartum and l've been really unhappy with my energy levels and just how I feel overall while trying to keep up with my daughter. I aspire to be a more physically active and involved mom, and starting tirz was a big push to make that happen. :)
2.5mg from Emerge (Hallandale), split into two 1.25mg doses per week (Wednesdays and Sundays. Took a full 2.5mg dose exactly once, that first week, and had some intense and unsettling side effects (big increase in anxiety, insomnia, dizziness, wooziness, etc)). Splitting minimized those side effects but kept the food noise down consistently. Other side effects l've experienced include dry mouth and some fatigue in the day after injections. Zero Gl side effects at all, which I was pleasantly surprised by.
Overall, I've lost 15lbs in the first month (8% of my body weight) which is absolutely insane. I had no idea what kind of loss I should anticipate, especially at my height and starting weight, so this was a crazy drop. It's actually a little too fast for me, so l'm going to focus on actually eating more this next month and hopefully pump the brakes a bit on that rate of loss. Clothes are getting loose and baggy already. Sticking with 2.5mg because there's no reason to bump up for me quite yet.
I've kept my diet pretty strict and clean with a huge emphasis on protein. I've only eaten out twice this month. Cooked all my meals from scratch otherwise. Lots of chicken, fish, green veggies, some sweet potato, some rice, cooking everything in a small amount of olive oil or butter. Trying to keep it balanced with protein/carbs/fats. I had a huge sweet tooth before but I don't crave sweets at all anymore so I haven't really had anything like that. Zero alcohol, but I wasnāt a big drinker before either. I also havenāt had any sugary or fizzy drinks, simply because I donāt crave those anymore either. Just water and electrolytes.
Positive things l've noticed this month aside from the weight: I noticed a huge drop in inflammation almost right away! Things that kind of had a low grade ache that I never even really paid attention to suddenly don't hurt at all anymore. I've incorporated running again (something l used to love!) and I feel like I can actually run so much more because my body doesn't hurt anymore. Plantar fasciitis vanished. Shin splints aren't an issue anymore. No knee pain. Nothing! I feel physically SO good! Because of all this, I feel like I'm physically capable of so much more now! I now regularly run, weight lift, do yoga, and get in 10-15k steps per day now just because I feel like I have a ton of energy and I actually want to move more. I was always so physically tired that walking around the neighborhood with the baby would wipe me out, and now I want to do so much more than that. There's a bit of fatigue in the day after my injections, but otherwise it feels like there's a fire within me that's pushing me to do more more more.
Anyway, I know this journey is different for everyone, but I just wanted to give such a positive review for my first month! The compound is working insanely well for me and I can't wait to see what the next few months holds!

2024.05.19 16:49 Consistent_Problem17 Journaling weight loss
I wanted to write somewhere about my weight loss journey, but didn't want to spam on some advice subreddit, so I decides to make my own. If someone ever finds it then you are welcome to post here too, if not, then I have my own private space to vent and see where I end up with this lol.
I'm in my late 20s, nearing 30, often depressed and lonely guy from Poland; I've tried to lose weight, to run and go to gym multiple times. I tracked my weight, did intermittent fasting, had a professional diet etc. Every time it failed, so now I want to try and experiment with documenting regularly my journey.
Ive no idea how much I weight currently, was kinda scared to check it. I was 103kg sometime ago, but lately I've been mostly eating shit food, potato chips and stopped runnin, so probably I've gained several kgs. Lowest weight was several years ago, during my diet, around 85kg.
But diet was too much for my depressed brain, so now I'm starting intermittent fasting and recording my calories, from tomorrow. Last year it worked kinda ok for me, so I hope it will work rn too.

2024.05.19 16:47 Traditional_Goat_995 Confused by these results (1mg/week)
I was put on Ozempic from May last year to November. In that timespan I dropped 50 pounds (from 250 to 198lbs). I'm a 42 yo pretty active man. Weight lifting...boxing and some cardio and tons of walking. But I do have a binge eating disorder (Night eating syndrome) at night. It's not as bad with Ozempic but I haven't been able to shake off that habit... I've been doing this since I'm like 6 years old.
Despite that I lost 50+ pounds then was put on Rybelsus and my weight crept back up to 225 from November to March this year. Rybelsus was not very effective because of the oral route and i cant seem to be on empty stomach ever because of how much i eat at night.
Was put back on Ozempic (1mg/week) in April and I expected my weight to drop rapidly again. Night food cravings aren't nearly as bad and side effects have been heavy (lots of throwong up but I can handle it).
despite that my weight is frozen at 223lbs and won't budge after a full month on Ozempic max dosage (I know you can have higher semaglutide dosage with wegovy). I'm not sure it's approved in Canada yet
Anyway, could the Ozempic take a couple of months to really take effects? Or should I lower my expectations? Last year the bulk of the weight loss was pretty early into the treatment.
P.s. I know I should get treatment for my eating disorder. I already see a nutritionist and a therapist but it's hardwired into my brain and hard to treat so please stick to the Ozempic talk thank you :)
