Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster. Check out my record! Def not a traditional dub record so I hope it is ok to share. But as the one sheet says, it draws as much from Scientist and King Jammy as it does from DJ Premier and the Mizell Brothers. Hope you dig it! It’s some 21st century psychedelic dub jazz funk fusion.

2023.12.04 19:15 StruggleBusSince85 Potato partially eaten underground?

I must have accidentally left a potato in the ground last year when harvesting, because one plant grew back this year. My landlords had this plastic-y fiberglass boards over the spot I would normally plant my potatoes, so nothing new went in the ground this year.
I just dug up the spot and all I could find was one giant potato that looks like part of it was eaten. The little holes are familiar, but I'm guessing it's mice or rats that ate part of it? There is a big rodent problem here. I'm in eastern Newfoundland. The town I'm in is constantly complaining about rats. And with the potato plant area being mostly covered by fiberglass, it would be a prime spot for rodents. I didn't notice any holes in the ground, though. It's not soft or mushy anywhere.
I guess I should throw out the potato? If I cut part of it off and eat the rest, will I get the plague?

2023.01.14 21:14 imjustmatthew How to Migrate Monitors from LevelDB to RocksDB?

The release notes for Quincy mention:
LevelDB support has been removed. WITH_LEVELDB is no longer a supported build option. Users should migrate their monitors and OSDs to RocksDB before upgrading to Quincy.
...but they don't point to anything about how to tell if the MONs are still using LevelDB or how to migrate them. My cluster is very old (started on Firefly IIRC) though it is now on Pacific and managed by cephadm, so the Monitors were certainly deployed with LevelDB originally.
Proxmox happens to have documentation of how to find what store the MONs are using:
head /valib/ceph/mon/*/kv_backend
That isn't exactly the right path since my cluster is containerized, but the kv_backend file is present in my MON data directories and says LevelDB. Based on that I think my MONs are still LevelDB. What I can't find is any documentation on how to migrate them to RocksDB.
Does anyone know how to migrate Monitors from LevelDB to RocksDB?
Edit to add solution:
So, based on the suggestions to redeploy them, here's what I was able to do.
ceph orch apply mon "monA,monB"
Then wait for monC to be removed.
ceph orch apply mon "monA,monC"
Then wait for monB to be removed
ceph orch apply mon "monB,monC"
Then wait for monA to be removed. Finally bring all the mons back together:
ceph orch apply mon "monA,monB,monC"
Checking the files on each host (/valib/ceph//mon./kv_backend) they are each now on RocksDB.
Thanks to TheBigBadDog and TheSov for pointing me in the right direction.

The city
Paris is the capital and biggest town of France, and one of the most visited city in the world.
It has seen some major changes in history such as the French Revolution or the birth of Napoleon’s Empire.
Since the works of Baron Haussmann at the end of the 19th century, Paris has kept its looks we all know today: large, wide avenues with buildings whose façades are quite remarkable.
Lesser known is the other half of PSG, Saint Germain.
Saint Germain is a town in the western suburbs of Paris which primary feature is a castle which used to be a residence of the kings. But this castle lost a lot of its relevance when the one at Versailles, really nearly, was built.
History of the club
PSG is quite a young club. Founded in 1970 when two clubs, the Stade saint germanois and the Paris football club decided to merge to create a strong professionnal club in Paris which it was lacking at the time. Just a few years later Paris Football Club decided to part ways and become independent again and they play today in the French third league, the National.
The newly formed club was promoted to Ligue1 in 1974 and has since been there, a record in France.
The club has had some period of success, notably in the 90’s, when Canal+, a french tv channel, bought the club to challenge the very strong OM of Papin.
Players like Le Guen, Ginola, Weah, Rai, Djorkaeff all played for PSG at the time.
During 5 consecutive seasons, PSG was in semi of C1 or C2, winning the C2 in 1996. During that 5 year span, PSG was the best club in Europe according to UEFA rankings. That was the golden era of PSG, that even today’s squad havent even come close.
Then followed a really dark period for PSG, not winning the title and even almost getting relegated in 2009. Although the results were mediocre, some players shined at the club, notably Ronaldinho and Pedro Miguel Pauleta, childhood hero of many PSG fan today (at least mine).
And then in 2011, QSI bought the club, after some drastic planning drew the ultras away from the Parc des Princes. Then arrived players like Pastore, Silva, Cavani, Di Maria and of course Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The strength of PSG combined with the weakness of other French teams led to a domination of PSG in the national level, winning 11 of the last 12 national trophies, but failing to reach the last 4 of the CL.
The main objective of the owner is to win in the coming years the CL and the squad is built around that.
Last season and expectations
It isn’t a secret PSG dominated French football last year like never before.
This is of course due to the strength of PSG but more importantly to the weakness of usual powerhouse like OM, OL, and Monaco, which all had different reasons for their failures.
The season of PSG is also marked by the elimination by Man City in the CL round of 8, which was very hard for the club and fans because City felt winnable and yet we didn’t succeed. This, combined with Ibra leaving, meant the end of an era in the club. The main figures used to be Ibra-Silva-Maxwell-Motta-Blanc. With Ibra gone (a decision of the club--good if you ask me), Blanc sacked, Motta and Maxwell both aging and in their last year of contract with players already there to take their places (Kurzawa and Krychowiak), it seems like it really is the end of an era. Blanc’s PSG was based on possession and a slow progression towards the goal, heavily relying on the CB and the midfield. Let’s see what Emery does with the squad.
Winning the title is expected and doing at least as well as before in the CL too.
Expected XI
We seem to be heading towards a 4-2-3-1
Areola (or Trapp) Aurier – Silva – Marquinhos – Maxwell (or Kurzawa) Verratti – Krychowiak (or Motta) Di Maria – Pastore – Ben Arfa Cavani
Player to watch
Focus on Verratti
PSG’s best player with Silva. The young midfielder from Italy is a fan favorite here at Paris and he seems to love the club back, saying again and again how much he want to retire here.
Often mistaken for a defensive mid, although his defensive ability are correct, Verratti is a deep lying playmaker who loves to gives through balls or long balls to the forwards with a precision like almost no other in the world. His vision of the game and passing ability make him one of the best creative midfielder in the game.
PSG with or without him is not the same.
Why should you follow the club ?
Because Paris is the most beautiful city of the world
Because CL will be ours in a few years.
Because we play attractive football and our shirt and players are sexy as fuck.
Why should Messi come to Paris ?
Because we can pay his taxes and still gives him a huge raise.
Because he will have someone smaller than him in the team (Verratti).
Because he has always dream to play vs Dijon.
Why would PSG get relegated to Ligue 2 ?
Because Aurier taught how to use Periscope to every player who then goes on saying stupid shit and Emery uses youngsters all season long, while those youngsters, drunk by the quick fame surrounding them, spend their night in the Parisian nightlife and fail to score in the last game of the season.
