2024.05.19 11:50 DelayMobile2633 Is the Keto diet good to treat diabetes?

The ketogenic diet, or keto diet for short, is a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that has gained popularity as a weight loss and health improvement technique in recent years. The keto diet aims to induce a metabolic state known as ketosis, in which the body burns fat for energy rather than carbs.
Diabetes is a long-term disease that affects how the body processes blood sugar (glucose). Diabetes is classified into two types: type 1 and type 2. The body does not manufacture insulin, a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar levels, in type 1 diabetes. The body either does not produce enough insulin or does not utilise insulin efficiently in type 2 diabetes. High blood sugar levels can result from either kind of diabetes, increasing the risk of major health problems such as heart disease, nerve damage, and blindness.
The keto diet has gained popularity as a viable treatment option for diabetics, particularly those with type 2 diabetes. However, those with diabetes should consult with their healthcare provider before beginning any new diet or fitness program, as the keto diet may not be appropriate for everyone and may have risks and downsides. In this post, we will look at the benefits and hazards of the keto diet for diabetics.
How Does the Ketogenic Diet Work?
The keto diet is intended to produce ketosis in the body. The body begins to use fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates when in ketosis. When the body does not have enough carbs to consume for energy, such as when fasting or following a low-carbohydrate diet like the keto diet, this mechanism is initiated.
On the keto diet, a person typically has to consume fewer than 50 grams of carbohydrates per day to enter ketosis. This low carbohydrate consumption forces the body to rely on fat for energy instead. The diet is heavy in fat, accounting for around 75% of daily calories, and moderate in protein, accounting for approximately 20% of daily calories.
Carbohydrates play a limited part in the keto diet, as the diet focuses on eating healthy fats and proteins instead. The concept is that by substantially limiting carbohydrate consumption, the body would enter ketosis and begin burning fat for energy. However, not all fats and proteins are created equal, and it is critical to select nutrient-dense sources to guarantee an adequate intake of crucial vitamins and minerals.
It's also worth noting that the keto diet isn't a one-size-fits-all approach, and your carbohydrate requirements may differ. Working with a healthcare practitioner to identify the optimal level of carbohydrate intake for an individual's specific needs and goals is critical.
Diabetes patients may benefit from the keto diet.
The keto diet has gained popularity as a viable treatment option for diabetics, particularly those with type 2 diabetes. According to some research, the diet may have various potential benefits for people with diabetes, including:
Improved blood sugar control: According to one small trial, the keto diet improved blood sugar control and reduced the need for diabetes medications in persons with type 2 diabetes. It is crucial to remember, however, that the keto diet is not for everyone, and blood sugar control should be closely maintained while on the diet.
Weight reduction: Because of its low carbohydrate content and the resultant shift to burning fat for energy, the keto diet may result in weight loss. Losing weight can assist improve blood sugar control and lower the risk of diabetes complications.
Reduced insulin resistance: Insulin resistance, a prevalent feature of type 2 diabetes, refers to the body's inability to utilise insulin efficiently to manage blood sugar levels. According to several studies, the keto diet may enhance insulin sensitivity and decrease insulin resistance in persons with type 2 diabetes.
More research is required to properly understand the potential benefits of the keto diet for patients with diabetes. Before beginning any new diet or fitness program, individuals with diabetes should always consult with their healthcare provider.
The risks and disadvantages of the keto diet for diabetics.
While the keto diet may have some potential benefits for diabetics, it is critical to be aware of the dangers and cons. Some potential hazards and disadvantages of the keto diet for diabetics include:
Careful monitoring and medical supervision are required: The keto diet may not be suitable for everyone, and those with diabetes should consult with a healthcare team before beginning the diet. While on the diet, blood sugar levels should be constantly checked, and medications may need to be modified.
Nutrient shortages: Because the keto diet is low in certain nutrients, like as fiber, fruits, and vegetables, it may raise the risk of nutrient deficiencies. To guarantee a proper intake of key vitamins and minerals, pick nutrient-dense sources of fat and protein, as well as a variety of non-starchy vegetables.
Difficulty sticking to the diet long-term: Due to its tight carbohydrate limitations, the keto diet can be difficult to follow to long-term. This might make it difficult to stick to the diet and can lead to feelings of deprivation or boredom due to the limited food options.
Before beginning the keto diet, it is critical to thoroughly assess the potential dangers and drawbacks for those with diabetes. It may not be appropriate for everyone, and working with a healthcare team to find the optimal treatment method for an individual's specific requirements and goals is always recommended.
Finally, the keto diet has gained popularity as a possible therapeutic option for persons with diabetes, particularly type 2 diabetes. According to some research, the diet may offer various potential benefits for diabetics, including improved blood sugar control, weight loss, and lower insulin resistance. However, it is critical to be aware of the possible risks and drawbacks of the keto diet for persons with diabetes, such as the necessity for constant monitoring and medical supervision, the possibility of nutrient deficiencies, and the difficulty of adhering to the diet over time.
Before beginning any new diet or fitness program, individuals with diabetes should always consult with their healthcare provider. The keto diet may not be appropriate for everyone, and it is critical to establish whether it is a safe and appropriate treatment choice based on an individual's specific needs and goals. It is also crucial to highlight that, unless specifically prescribed by a healthcare expert, the keto diet should not be used as a substitute for proven diabetes therapies such as medicines and insulin therapy.

2024.05.19 11:49 Marlax101 Tiers of medical.

More or less some thoughts to distract me from swiping for a Polaris even tho for some reason i feel my smaller ships need it. lets talk potential effects of medical tier healing for a more interactive medical.
t4- medic/ med gun- able to bring someone back in downed state and able to keep them alive as long as you keep applying proper medical treatments.
t3- bed able to revive bodies dragged back to the bed and heal some injuries from soft downed states while allowing them to remain stable for longer. unable to repair major injuries from death but can keep you alive.
t2- able to repair some major injuries and increase survival time of transported t3 beds with catastrophic damage- perhaps able to help mitigate some catastrophic damage with the help of augmentations. Revival from dead state from a distance but you do not recover full limb health - perhaps resting for specific periods could slowly recover some limb health over time.
t1- able to repair any injury without augmentation at distance, and fully heal transported injured patients without wasting vital respawn stability. No limb or rest time penalty to fully recover.
just a simple thought about medical. About to get off work and crash. have a good night all. or morning I should say perhaps.

2024.05.19 11:47 cuBLea "Dark" MR: Memory Reconsolidation for Fun, Profit, and Psychosocial Manipulation (partial essay)

NOTE: I drafted this before reddit slashed its allowable post size and decided it was unpublishable at that point. A friend strongly recommended I post whatever reddit will allow and if people wanted to see more, I could post more of it. So here's the first segment of it.
Therapeutic memory reconsolidation has a dark side. It's not something typically discussed outside of the coffee rooms of the lab-rat and clinical-practices sets, where the tedium of the current work occasionally gives rise to darkly humorous dystopian speculations.
This dark side is not simply the stuff of mad-science speculation and dark fantasy. In fact, its existence predates even the discovery of the MR process itself. And it has already resulted in mild-to-catastrophic negative consequences for hundreds of thousands of people. (Depending on your perspective, it's conceivable that the current victim count could be in the tens or even hundreds of millions ... we're notorious for undercounting casualties of previously-unrecognized catastrophes. Fair disclosure: I'm one of those casualties.) It's an aspect of MR that I believe is worth knowing about for anyone seeking to exploit MR in therapy either as a practitioner or as a client.
For almost as long as the transformation (i.e. MR) phenomenon has been recognized, there have been tales of sordid applications of this effect. Religious sects, particularly the charismatic ones, have been exploiting the MR phenomenon for thousands of years, typically labeling it as either divine healing or proof of faith. Not that the results aren't beneficial for the individual. In most cases they are. But reconsolidation is only a part of the whole process of restoring health to old psychic wounds. The inducement of therapeutic MR in an individual not ready for the experience can be among the most brutal tortures imaginable, but most of the harm that comes from misapplication of the MR phenomenon can be traced to opportunistic exploitation of the setup for, and aftermath of, the transformational experience, and it's my belief that most of this harm is done by individuals and/or groups with little or no sense of the risks involved in
Keith Raniere's NXIVM organization is probably the most widely-known example of a cult founded largely on a MR-consistent methodology bent to less-than-humane ends. It made national news for years in Canada based on allegations of financial wrongdoing and sexual scandals, its leader was indicted in the US in 2018 and was sentenced to 120 years, and in 2020, not one but *two* major exposé miniseries/docuseries aired on streaming services.
"The Vow" (Mark Vicente's story)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Vow_(TV_series))
Vicente's series orients around his involvement in the growth and promotion of NXIVM, and isn't afraid to get into the weeds around how Raniere strategized and developed the organization's techniques and tactics.
"Seduced: Inside the NXIVM Cult" (India Oxenberg's story)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seduced:_Inside_the_NXIVM_Cult
This series centers more around IO's personal journey with the cult, and the people who were caught up in its darkest aspects.
"The Vow", first to be released, was not a fun watch for me. Thirty years prior to this, I had been ensnared by another cult, closely affiliated with the Unity Church of Today in Warren, MI at that time. Both of these cults exploited phenomena surrounding therapeutic memory consolidation as their primary lures years before we even knew that MR had a scientific footing.
The two organizations had shockingly similar modi operandi. So similar, in fact, that I still suspect that NXIVM's founder might have gotten much of his basic training from CoT's Pavillon resort in Quebec, whose month-long "therapeutic retreat" programs were a clever and completely unabashed cult indoctrination program. Ok ... well ... nearly completely unabashed ... during the month that I attended, we were only told that we were being groomed for the cult on the third-to-last day, by which time they surely knew who was ripe for the picking and who wouldn't be swayed, and were pretty confident of no open objection to such an announcement.
I want to make clear that this is not a word of exaggeration. The head of the "clinic" literally told us that if it felt to any of us like we were being recruited for a cult, he assured us that yes, we were. Nobody gasped, nobody even giggled. And as if to prove that this wasn't just dark humor, the director assured us that it was all fair play on their part since his was "the only cult that matters". That is exactly how confident Pavillon were of their methods. (Or at least they were in mid-1989 ... Pavillon appears to have vanished in the mists of history. Not every great cult idea grows up to make it to the big leagues.)
Neither "Seduced" or "The Vow" actually get under the hood and explain the psychology underlying the cult's success, let alone in context of therapeutic memory reconsolidation. In fact, I'm pretty sure that MR was never mentioned in either series. But right from the introductory/demo sessions presented in the first episode of "The Vow", most readers of this sub will instantly recognize that NXIVM leveraged the benefits and relative simplicity of MR-consistent transformational therapies to capture the attention, loyalty, and ultimately the wealth of prospective cult members.
But that's not nearly enough to lead us to a real understanding of how this happens. If either of these series' had been able to achieve that, this post could effctively end here. It's my belief that those of us who are consumers of MR-consistent services, or who work with consumers, do need this understanding. When the mechanics of the seduction are understood, it doesn't just help us to identify how malignant influences were brought to bear on potential victims, or provide us with a degree of immunity from those influences. It can also help us to better identify and relate to individuals who may be particularly vulnerable to these influences, and not just in therapy cults, but in all cult-like cultural groups, and get a better sense of how we can best communicate with people living under less-than-virtuous influence.
Fortunately, it doesn't appear to be all that difficult to acquire this understanding. Simply knowing basic MR theory and therapeutic application takes you halfway to mastery in a world still largely ignorant of how transformative change works. And the successes of Pavillon and NXIVM, coming as they did well before the general public even knew that MR was a "thing", pretty much proves it. But solving the remainder of the problem appears to involve first understanding how the application of MR-consistent methods could lead to cult exploitation in the first place.
MR-consistent transformational phenomena were relatively common knowledge back as far as the early 1980s in new-age/psychotherapy circles, and were even well-understood by certain inner-circle dwellers. And it was clear at least a decade earlier that certain disciplines practiced in a certain way were capable of producing remarkable therapeutic effects, even if no one could quite explain how or why. All Raniere and Pavillon needed to do was to refine techniques already known to be highly effective and they could reproduce those results. Which is exactly what happened, and this gave these two groups a powerful enticement, or a free sample product if you prefer, for people interested in living better, happier lives. Whatever else they did that we would likely view as objectionable or even evil, they both figured out how to get people to transformational moments in ways which were a lot easier than Erhard Seminars Training (EST), more efficient than religious or mystical practices (Transcendental Meditation, kundalini yoga, visionquesting, etc.), and less exclusive/expensive than a stay at Esalen or a year or two of the "talking cure".
So whatever we may think/feel about their methods, credit where due: they knew a good thing when they saw it and they got the transformational part right. So how did techniques which we rely upon to free us from exploitation by our own nervous systems become tools for THEIR exploitation? On the surface it seems like using MR to coerce and enslave people makes about as silly as trying to poison someone with multivitamins. But there's a clever logic to it, and to understand this we need to look beyond the bounds of MR and the transformational phenomenon, and at how the entire transformation process is managed. (And there's the operative word: managed, not facilitated.
We know MR as the process that underlies transformation. But transformation isn't healing, but only a subprocess within a greater restoration process. Healing doesn't usually even end the process, either. Following transformation, stress must be managed until the subject's next full sleep cycle or treatment efficacy is substantially impaired. Even beyond that, the structure of post-traumatic adaptation leaves the individual vulnerable to retraumatization in the wake of treatment, meaning that in perhaps a majority of cases, the triggers which activate PTS symptoms need to be kept to a

[Every now and then, I thought we have to reflect on ‘the totality’ of the indeed depressing seemingly unrelated realities; nobody does it better than OXFAM].

1.0. Since 2020, and the beginning of this decade of division, the five richest
men have seen their fortunes more than double, while almost five billion
people have seen their wealth fall.

1.1. 791 million workers have seen their wages fail to keep up with inflation
and have lost US$1.5 trillion over the last two years, equivalent to nearly a
month (25 days) of lost wages for each worker.

1.2. Billionaires are US$3.3 trillion or 34% richer than they were at the
beginning of this decade of crisis, with their wealth growing three times as
fast as the rate of inflation.

1.3. Despite representing only 21% of the world population, countries in the
Global North own 69% of global wealth and are home to 74% of the world’s
billionaire wealth.

1.4. Globally, men own US$105 trillion more wealth than women --equivalent to
four times the size of the US economy.

1.5. If the current trend continues, we will see the first trillionaire in 10 years,
but we will not eliminate poverty for 230 years.

1.6. If each of the five wealthiest men were to spend a million dollars daily,
it would take them 476 years to exhaust their combined wealth.

1.7. It would take 1,200 years for a female worker in the health and social
sector to earn what a CEO in the biggest Fortune 100 companies earns on
average in one year.

1.8. The richest 1% own 43% of all global financial assets.

1.9. A wealth tax on the world’s millionaires and billionaires could generate
US$1.8 trillion dollars each year.

2.0. According to new data covering the first six months of 2023, 2023 is set to
shatter all records as the most profitable year yet for big corporations. 148 of
the world’s biggest corporations (where data is available) made nearly US$1.8
trillion in profits in the 12 months leading up to June 2023, which is 52.5%
higher than their average for 2018–21. Their windfall profits --defined as
profits exceeding the 2018–21 average by more than 20% -- are nearly
US$700bn. Taxing these windfall profits at 90% would generate nearly
US$628bn in revenue.

2.1. The biggest winners in terms of windfall profits have been 14 oil and gas
companies whose profits in 2023 were 278% above the 2018–21 average,
representing US$190bn in windfall profits in 2023 and US$144bn in 2022.

2.2. For every US$100 of profit generated by 96 major companies between July
2022 and June 2023, US$82 was returned to shareholders in the form of stock
buybacks and dividends.

2.3. New Oxfam analysis of the World Benchmarking Alliance’s data on over
1,600 of the largest and most influential companies worldwide shows that
0.4% of companies are publicly committed to paying their workers a living
wage and support payment of a living wage in their value chains partners.

2.4. Oxfam’s analysis of the World Benchmarking Alliance’s data of over 1,600
of the world’s largest companies finds that only 0.7% fully meet a global bar
for collective bargaining --by disclosing collective bargaining coverage in their
workforce and their approach to supporting collective bargaining through their
business relationships (e.g., their suppliers).

2.5. New data on over 1,600 of the largest and most influential companies
reveals that only 24% have a public commitment to gender equality. Just 2.6%
of companies disclose information on the ratio of pay of women to men.

2.6. Just 4% of the over 1,600 largest and most influential companies sampled
worldwide fully meet the World Benchmarking Alliance’s social indicator on
responsible tax, by having a public global tax strategy and publicly disclosing
corporate income taxes paid in all countries of residency.

2.7. Shell made US$29.2bn in profits between July 2022 and June 2023, an
increase of 222% compared to its average profits from 2018–21. Of those
profits, 87.7% were handed back to shareholders in the form of stock
buybacks and dividends.

2.8. Between July 2022 and June 2023, Brazil’s Petrobras made US$30.3bn in
profits --almost four times more than its average annual profits from 2019–2021.
It paid out 118% of those profits to shareholders in the form of dividends --
more than three times what Petrobras invested in capital expenditure.

2.9. If the amount companies spent on dividends and shareholder buybacks
for the richest 10% in 2022 was redistributed to the bottom 40% of the income
distribution, global income inequality as measured by the Palma ratio could
decrease by 21.5% --equivalent to the actual drop in the Palma ratio observed
over 41 years.

2.10. Just half of the amount from payouts to the top 10% in 2022 could
reduce global poverty (defined as US$6.85 a day, 2017 PPP), and a mere 1.6%
of the payouts could eliminate extreme poverty as defined by the World Bank
(US$2.15 a day, 2017 PPP).

2.11. The world’s five largest corporations combined are valued at more than
all the GDP of economies in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean combined.

3.0. Of the 10 largest listed companies in the world, seven have a billionaire as
either a principal shareholder or CEO. The total value (market capitalization) of
these companies is $10.2 trillion.

3.1. Of the 50 largest listed companies in the world, 17 (34%) have a billionaire
as either a principal shareholder or CEO. The total value (market capitalization)
of these companies is $13.3 trillion.

Bottom line: Phew!

2024.05.19 11:42 Dancing_Penguin22 The issue of double standards.

Good day everyone. I'm afraid I can't stop posting on this subreddit because I simply can't help myself 🤭it's nice to share my perspective with my fellow Nigerians and I hope this rant finds you well _^
We're well aware that double standards is prominent in Africa, but I'm going to come down to our country Nigeria. Being a young girl brought up in a Nigerian household made it very clear to me that men can do what they want but us women are subjected to submissiveness (I speak for myself and many others. Though I know not every woman was brought up this way).
My brother (who is a bit older than me)is allowed to interact openly with females and even declare publicly that he has a girlfriend, whereas my mother forbids me from even mentioning the name of a man in her presence. My brother is allowed to whore around and everyone knows but in my case, she'll always harshly remind me that I'll be useless if I allow men ruin me at a young age. I know this is her way of caring for me,but why does she give my brother free reins while I'm constrained in such a way? Don't we deserve equal treatment?
Why should my actions be limited because of my gender?
My female friend was just telling me what her mother had told her recently. Her mother advised her to be decent for when she gets married and my friend countered, saying that she expects the same decency from her husband but her mother reminds her that a woman should not expect such from her husband, rather she's the one that has to be virtuous?
This thought process is twisted, and very common among African homes too.
It's not ok!!!
Double standards is an unfair and unequal treatment which can jeopardize one's life and it mainly affects us females. The social conditioning that females are inferior and must be submissive to men has resulted in the issue of early marriage, depression and lack of freedom.
Let us see all individuals as the same, regardless of sex.
Thank you (•‿•).

2024.05.19 11:40 Brilliant_Top_3832 Teacher - Need new path

Hello,
I guess you could say I’m not your typical liberal teacher. I hate everything teaching and education promotes today from being DEI, to being a victim - everyone’s a racist, misogynist etc., climate change is going to kill us.
I am a conservative and was a top athlete and top academic student growing up with the value of hardwork, dedication and perseverance. I’m also extremely outgoing and love being around people. I probably should have gone into sales when I was in my 20s. I build relationships with people relatively easily and make friends playing golf.
Teaching and the education is soul Sucking. As a teacher, I have no authority to discipline students, give them late marks or fail them because our education system panders to these students/parents that whine and complain. Classrooms are a disaster with behaviour and cell phone management. I literally realize every teacher is make ZERO impact on our society. Some think they are but they are not because the majority of students are so desensitized by technology and have never been disciplined by their parents that they are just mindless drones.
I can’t stand being a teacher especially after Covid. I seen I should have done something different but I’m 40 now. I don’t know what to do. I could stick it out with teaching until 55 and get a pension which my family thinks I should do. I also know there is not a lot of jobs out there that are going to pay me 100K per year with 3 months off and pension at the end.
I just hate how meaningless my job is and how even 100K can’t afford shit today plus the lack of respect for teachers. I know why our kids are fucked today because parents don’t love their kids. It’s plain and simple. They don’t want to be parents and discipline them. They want to be their friends. Parents have become so weak and lazy. Everyone blames the kids. It’s not the kids. It’s our society lacking any morality, no discipline at school or home. No wonder kids are anxious, depressed and offing themselves. Our adults are bunch of pussies.
Anyways, that’s the end of my rant. I don’t know what to do anymore.

2024.05.19 11:32 desperate-alpaca Imposter syndrome - not a typical ADHD child

I’m struggling with major imposter syndrome and trying to read around ADHD as much as I can. I’m on Elvanse 50mg and it has changed my entire life in so many ways. I feel embarrassed that I need stimulants to feel calm. How does that even make sense? How can a stimulant make an ADHD brain calm? I sometimes think it’s placebo, so I miss a dose or two, and then I can’t quite believe I was this “bad”. I’m sleeping better ever since I started taking stimulant medication. I can plan things. I can finish things. I don’t constantly feel overwhelmed from the moment of waking until sleep (which used to be at 3-4am).
Context: I was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD a few months ago at the age of 32. I was an extremely high achieving child and I’m in an objectively “good” profession. My inattentiveness and executive dysfunction (amongst other symptoms) appeared when I moved away from home for uni and then got dramatically worse when I started working.
I tried treatments for anxiety and depression, despite not having obvious symptoms for those. I tried CBT too. Then I started reading about ADHD but didn’t identify with the “naughty kid” who can’t focus in class.
After speaking to my psychiatrist, in hindsight, I seem to have “gotten away” with my symptoms by being a girl, quick to memorise textbooks, with two helicopter parents who probably parented this way because of my forgetfulness, impulsivity, poor focus etc. I had private tutors for many subjects.

2024.05.19 11:32 eaturpineapples Feeling a little lost! Need to vent! (Depression, imposter syndrome, pay)

Hi all!
I recently graduated with my MSW and I am feeling that I made a mistake. I wish that I had obtained a degree in clinical mental health psychology, MFT, or something more counseling related. I am currently working in SUD and often feel that I am lacking the tools/experience that I need. I have not had any negative feedback and am told that I am doing great, but I can't help having these thoughts. I have been at my current position for two years as an intern and took on a full time position about 6 months ago, before I completed my internship. I work 36 hours a week, which is great, but I am only making about $22 an hour. I feel undervalued and this makes me feel depressed. My pay was based on when I asked to work full time still as an intern. Should I ask for a raise now even though I have not passed the LCSW exam? I plan on studying of the exam and my goal is to take it by the end of July. I do have my Social Work Candidate License (SWC- Colorado), so I am allowed to practice by law. I also do not want to look for a new job right now because my husband and I are going through fertility treatment and a new job would be added stress. Please give me advice and support! Thanks

2024.05.19 11:28 Shot-Caterpillar235 Never had this breakout before! 😫

Never had this breakout before! 😫
Please help! 30F. I never had this breakout before, I usually get one or two pimples only when I'm about to get my period. I did not have skin care routine, I just washed my face hence I have no idea what products to use for this kind of breakout. It started when I had stomach issue and took probiotics and activated charcoal. I saw small pimples in my forehead which I thought just normal pimple (30 March). After a month, it just keeps getting worse so l decided to buy SebaMed cleansing foam and AcneMix treatment. I used it for a while but it's not really helping. AcneMix was really strong for me it's stinging my eyes as l had put it above my eyebrows. After a week of AcneMix, I stop using it and used the following products: • Bioderma Atoderm Gel Douche (day and night) • La Roche-Posay Effaclar Ultraconcentrated Serum (every night) • CeraVe Moisturizing Cream • La Roche-Posay Anthelios Uvmune400 Oil Control Fluid SPF50+ I experience purging using the serum, where whiteheads are coming out from my face. But it only looks worse after a week. It's so depressing. I decided to buy anti-fugal cream Clotrimazole, thinking it might be fungal acne. I only used it last night, and it seems to flare it up.
Can you please help me identify if this is fungal acne? If this is not fungal acne, can I continue the LRP serum instead?

Some of the promises they have made in their manifesto seem like the final blow and nail in the coffin to Indian Democracy.
1. One nation one election, under the garb of saving costs will deal a deathly blow to our Democracy which is already in ICU.
  1. Dilution of Regional Issues: State elections often focus on specific regional concerns, and combining them with national elections could overshadow these crucial matters
  2. Reduced Accountability: Longer election cycles may reduce the frequency at which voters can hold governments accountable for their actions, potentially leading to complacency among elected representatives
1. When elections are staggered and spread across, it atleast keeps the national/multi-state parties on their toes and keeps them somewhat accountable and also allows for other states’ issues/national issues to affect state elections.
2.For example : Say a massive farmers protest occurs in Delhi and their ill treatment might influence voting decision of farmers in local states that are going to elections in the following months or a big corruption scandal that got exposed nationally might affect the same party’s prospects in the local elections.
  1. The constitutional challenges of "One Nation One Election" intensify if a government is dissolved or dismissed prematurely. This scenario raises complex issues regarding synchronizing the terms of the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies, requiring amendments to Articles 83, 85, 172, 174, and 356 of the Constitution. The need to manage breaks due to dissolution, President's Rule, or hung assemblies poses significant hurdles, potentially undermining India's federal structure. Without proper synchronization and constitutional amendments, the proposal risks facing legal and structural criticisms, impacting the democratic fabric of the country.
2.UCC
  1. UCC and Some sections of the new criminal laws are outright anti people and snatch away our freedoms. Like UCC requiring live in relationships registration and requiring scrutiny/consent from a police station guy, maintaining registry, and then after breakup
  1. Anti-Woman and Anti-Democratic (Anti-Liberty and State interference in personal lives): The UCC is seen as anti-woman, anti-democratic, and draconian. It restricts adult women's sexual autonomy, allows for moral policing, and interferes in consensual relationships, including marriage and divorce
3.Criminalization and Penalties: The UCC is criticized for its heavy focus on penalties and punishment, creating a legal environment that criminalizes personal choices and relationships.
4 Exclusion of Tribes and Targeting Minorities: Critics highlight the exclusion of Scheduled Tribes (STs) from the UCC and its perceived targeting of Muslims. The law is viewed as a "Hindu Code" that imposes cultural values on all citizens, especially minorities
5.Registration of Live-In Relationships: Mandatory registration of live-in relationships is seen as intrusive, violating individual autonomy, and potentially leading to marital disputes, interference from authorities, and societal scrutiny
  1. Selective Application and Double Standards: Critics argue that the UCC's selective application, exemptions for certain communities, and exclusion of tribal and minority groups undermine the law's claim to uniformity and equality
  2. These criticisms collectively paint a picture of a UCC in Uttarakhand that is perceived as regressive, discriminatory, and detrimental to personal freedoms, especially in the context of relationships and breakups.
And then if BJP wins this time with almost similar results as 2019 and in worst case if it gains more seats, then it reinforces BJP’s mindset , attitude and gives them bold confidence that what they are doing does not matter to people
  1. Manipur does not matter. They can get away with gross incompetence.
  1. In any half decent democracy, this alone would be enough for a president’s rule to be enforced and state govt dismissed and army brought in.
4.Protests mean nothing to this govt and are dealt with force.
1. Farmers protest took over a year with 700+ deaths and we all saw how the recent farmer protests were treated almost as an infiltration into the country with nails, spikes, blockages etc
2.Wrestlers protest and nothing happened
3. Ladakh Protest
  1. Not attending and not even acknowledging the protests and meeting the agitated is basic responsibility of a govt. Whether the demands are reasonable/feasible/logical or not is secondary. If govt believes they are unreasonable then govt should atleast meet them and explain and sort things out.*
  1. Extreme Misuse of agencies does not matter.
  2. Press freedom does not matter. PM holding a open press conference and being held accountable does not matter. PM coming to the the parliament and answering questions does not matter.
  3. Passing bills without any discussion or debate does not matter
  4. Suspending MPs for raising their voice does not matter, Mass suspension also does not matter
  5. Use of governors to interfere in state govts functioning does not matter
  6. Washing machine politics does not matter. People dont care
  7. Communalism and Hate speech does not matter
  8. Toppling govts doesnt matter
  9. Election Commission and its discharge of constitutional duties does not matter
  10. Using PMLA and UAPA on civil society activists does not matter
  11. Electoral bonds does not matter
  12. Covid mishandling does not matter
  13. Weakening of democracy does not matter. CAG / RTI is being diluted..
  14. Heck, rejecting opposition candidates’ nominations, forcing them to withdraw and win uncontested without even a single vote being cast like it happened in Indore,Surat and In Arunachal Pradesh, 10 BJP MLAs have been declared elected unopposed (they have simultaneous assembly and lok sabha elections)
  15. I also have a distant fear that once NRC is brought in and implemented, Muslims might be particularly at the receiving end and a significant number of them might be declared as infiltrators. I dont know why I feel this , but I feel this more so after PM gave a blatant hate speech saying Muslims are those who have more kids and are infiltrators…
The list is endless and these are some of the major things that come to my mind and are certainly gloomy.
I seriously don’t have energy to fight the whataboutery and falsehoods spread about the INDIA Alliance..
Remember in India politics is not who is good and better than the other but rather who is the lesser evil…and it’s clear who the lesser evil is.
Amazing how People are willing to trade humanity, empathy and their freedoms/liberties/privacy, democracy, social harmony for infrastructure.
Its highly likely that BJP will return to power for 3rd term on their own. As much as I don’t want BJP to return , I’m starting to lose hope and I’m starting to believe in what Bhakts say , “Ayega toh modi hi” ,
So be mentally prepared (atleast I am)… Good luck and best wishes to all of us.

2024.05.19 11:25 untangable Do I come back?

I was on effoxor 75mg for roughly 2 years through out a abusive relationship. It ended and I fell pregnant and was advised to discontinue my use. I'm now 10 months post partum and some how my depression has become worse then ever (I've been diagnosed Major Depressive Disorder for over 10 years). I know how hard the first 2 months were when I started taking it while trying to level out. I remember the brain zaps, the fog, sleep deprivation and sweats and the emotional blunting. I'm concerned about getting back on it when I have a little one to care for who still doesn't sleep threw the night and it imparing my ability to give care or foster a healthy relationship with my kid. Other medications don't really agree with me, pristiq and zoloft made me increasingly suicidal. I don't know, I just want some opinions from people who currently take it as to weather I should get back on it. I can get a script for it instantly as it's still on my file.. What would you do in my situation
I would like to add when I took effexor it affected my sleep to the point I would only sleep 3 hours a day whilst also being administered tamazpam. I have horrific nightmares on effexor and struggle sleeping the tamazapam makes me dead to the world for 3 hours at most then I'm back awake as soon as I gain any sort of autonomy. I'm concerned with this when being the only care giver for my kiddo. This is something I need to consider too.

2024.05.19 11:10 Legitimate-Donkey-56 Is there anyone else out there with one lesion… (progressive solitary sclerosis)

This has taken me so long to write in this group because I don’t know where I belong
I have been given a temporary diagnosis of progressive solitary sclerosis, I have one lesion on my brain stem, but the location is so rare and so devastatingly positioned, it is progressively deteriorating my left side of my body, my memory the right side of my face. My left arm curls up like a claw and feels most comfortable when it’s curled into my armpit which looks so unnatural. It’s painful when i use it for periods of time, my left leg… I don’t even know how to explain it feels absent. There is some feedback missing. I walk with like a limp I can’t explain, it just doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do??? and my back, hip and leg hurts so much because of how I walk. Over a year since my first batch of optic neuritis, it has gotton so much worse over the last year, I’m scared to think what I’ll be like in another years time. They said my case is very rare, I have tried baclofen and paxam and neither work. I have had a one treatment of rituximab which stopped my constant flare of symptoms but they won’t give me anymore until another lesion occurs. I’m constantly being put in the too hard basket from fleets of neurologists I don’t know what I am or where I belong, all I know is that I’m deteriorating and my neurolgy team don’t care because they don’t know what to do. It’s hard to get support because I don’t have a formal diagnosis. I’m a mother, a wife and a 2nd year teaching degree student. I’m not willing to give up everything I worked so hard for but I’m so depressed lately I feel like my memory and my body is worsening slowly everyday and nobody cares. I’m sick of crying in front of my kids, I’m sick of taking 10 minutes just to urinate, I’m sick of not being heard, I’m just sick of everything. Is there anyone else like me out there?

2024.05.19 11:04 ActuallyThePerson A Question about BPD (My partner has BPD)

My partner has Quiet BPD (that's the form that they tell me they have) and sometimes they say things to the effect of "my BPD will never change" trying to say that they're never going to get better. They feel pessimistic about their future and don't really have high hopes because of the ways that BPD makes their life more difficult. I do have hope for them but I am having trouble convincing them this. It is hard for us because I don't have any "proof" that it can get better, and I don't know how to help them (especially with identity and overall treatment). We are trying to get them into therapy but even so they may not be able to get medications to deal with the mood swings where they are at their age and that specifically bothers them. I personally have dealt with depression and identity (identity issues adjacent to them but not specifically the same, I am trans but they are genderfluid) but I don't know how to help them very well. The whole reason I'm making this thread is because I need 1) some success stories to hopefully give them some hope, and 2) to get some advice for how to deal with this day to day and how to help someone with this.

2024.05.19 10:50 Lotoalofafaavauvau My psychiatrist won’t let me try lamictal

First time poster. I have bipolar 1 with psychotic features. I have been medicated for over a decade on a low dose of Tegretol, lithium and clonazepam. I can’t tolerate higher doses but this regime does prevent full blown mania and psychosis.
I have suffered severely for all these years this fluctuating between up and down swings despite trying every med Dr.’s can think of. I desperately need something I can use to stop the mania and the insomnia that goes with it. Every episode is a battle to keep in control, a battle I usually lose with torturous consequences.
I have been asking to try lamictal now for 6 months and the Dr., well nurse practitioner, keeps putting it off. He told me yesterday that it’s “only for depression; it doesn’t treat mania.” I responded that it’s a mood stabilizer, like Tegretol, and I was under the impression it treated both.
He also said because I am alternating my Tegretol dose every other day he won’t let me try lamictal. I am alternating every other day because they don’t offer the dose I can tolerate which is 250 mg. He hates that I do that and is getting frustrated with me. Any lower and my psychosis starts creeping in. Any higher and I get debilitating GI issues. I was devastated to hear him say I could not try it and postponed it for the 4th time.
He also says despite me being on a super low Tegretol does I would be doubling my risk of Steven Johnson’s syndrome (the deadly rash).
He won’t let me take Tegretol and lamictal together because he says he won’t know which one caused the rash, (if I were to get it) but I’ve been on Tegretol for over a decade with no rash.
The question: is lamictal just for bipolar depression? Does it not curb mania? Is he overreacting regarding the risks? Is his frustration founded regarding me taking the every other day alternating dose? I do that to cope with the fact that they don’t make the dose I need to stay sane enough; it’s not for fun.
I was ready to brave another med trial, which is usually debilitating for me. When my brain is active, which is now, i am able to try new meds. When I am down I am not. I desperately need more medication and he’s basically stringing me along while I am barely keeping it together between mania and the insomnia that comes with it.
When I’m down again, he says he may let me try it, if I promise to only take Tegretol 200 every single day, never going to 300mg even if I feel I need extra to sleep or whatever. Is that too strict or is it reasonable?
I do appreciate a lot of things about him and there is a provider shortage where I live so finding a good alternative doesn’t seem likely. He does seem to get easily stressed and frustrated, seems he’s overworked right now.
I am venting a bit but any thoughts or advice is welcome. 🙏

2024.05.19 10:40 ancient-canopies Did you have a plan B while building your own business or did you invest everything in plan A?

Tldr: Plan “B” (WebDev) is safe but requires a big chunk of my limited energy. Meanwhile I FEEL called and inspired to build plan “A” (my own business). I have 2 years, but in my current state it’s like 6 months, so I need to decide if the investment in plan B is worth it or if it’s holding me back, because I am not advancing enough in both.
I’m building a one-person-business so I can do meaningful things with my time. It’s not the most profitable thing but it’s my real Dream. So it’s gonna take long to earn a minimum wage off of it, and I started learning Software Development to have a backup plan. I’m in my 30s now.
I know, many relate to the feeling “I don’t wanna sell my time” anymore. But not all of us invest the necessary energy into becoming financially independent, and each one has a reason (maybe not a justification but an explanation at least).
In my case, I understand I have too little control over my mind. I lack will power.
After having spent 16 years clinically depressed, I changed my inner perception of life and healed, so I know I can change this too, and I am doing it. It’s just taking me so long… I procrastinate and get burned out easily when I have more than one single task to achieve in the day. But I want so bad to be independent that I even gave up the idea of having a family. I’m a complete hermit, because I need to feel like I’m allowed to fail without being responsible for other people. And if I can only succeed enough to sustain myself, I’ll continue alone so I don’t have to hustle more than I can be in peace with.
Sometimes I think the plan B is hurting more than helping. Because I’ll still need a good year before I’m able to work with code (in very simple projects) and I could be using this time to develop the business better. I don’t have a lot of energy (It’s clinical because I have chronic pain since I was a kid but I already receive treatment so, there’s not a lot I can do about it at this point).
It’s been a month since I am burned out again (all I was doing was learn code, work on the bizz, do a little physical activity… max 6 hours a day) and now I can only commit to one task a day. Yesterday I worked out after a 2 weeks break. Today I’m choosing coding because I feel guilty that I will run out of money before the business is ready, and I’ll have to work on the service industry again, since I also won’t be ready for the IT industry yet.
I have about 2 years to start earning money on my own or I’ll have to sell my time to build other people’s dreams (again). Then I’d probably be 60 before I launch my own.
It’s starting to feel like coding has become the new “working for others” since I “have to” learn it instead of following my flow with the business creation. The important part is that I KNOW I will be working for others if I need to code before I can live off my business, but the plan was always to freelance and make the ends meet without committing to a 9/5 on IT. This would be like another investment in my own business, so I can continue building it. It seems worth it, but I need to decide if it really is because of the low energy.
I don’t have to be on Forbes, I don’t want expensive stuff. I’ve been the person collecting stamps on my passport and it’s ok… but what I really yearn for is a simple life, with a rich experience of time and purpose.
If you relate with this please share your experiences and thoughts. I appreciate it!

2024.05.19 10:18 Empty_Expression7315 My parents add a lot of pressure. Is this normal?

Hi folks,
I’m 16, in the middle of my GCSEs and have had Type 1 nearly 9 years. My TIR is 83% and last HbA1C was 5.6%.
First of, I have a lot of non-diabetes related issues at home and my school, especially my history teacher and mental health lead, are invaluable at supporting me and they actually try to learn about my diabetes, unlike the horror stories I’ve read here.
Like when we went out the other day, my mum said I shouldn’t bring my bag with hypo treatments because I could run home to get it if I went low. What? Just what? That’s incredibly stupid advice.
I had 2 days of double exams and ate after my last exam of the day so my BG didn’t go crazy eating at the wrong time (2nd exam started at lunch), yes I’ve lectured my self internally already, I know this was stupid. I got home and got torn a new one about how I need to look after my diabetes better and I should be making my life easier by eating, which would have thrown my BG majorly off for my exams.
Whenever my parents hear a Dexcom alarm they’re always like “Really, again?” And sound really exasperated over my going low. So now I feel like a complete inconvenience.
Is this behaviour normal?

2024.05.19 09:31 Fun_Sun2481 Im 19 im 5’5 i have narcissistic tendencies i have problems with empathy and im extremely lonely and honestly feeling hopeless and desperate for intimacy how do i fix/cope with this.

I have my fair share of problems and insecurities that i deal with everyday like everyone else but everytime i try to talk about them i always feel like what im saying is stupid invalid and i always feel unfulfilled after i poorly convey what im feeling. I dont know how to cope with these problems. 1. My loneliness My loneliness has always been a problem. Its made me depressed anxious desperate and its made me an attention seeker. In any social situation im always trying to get all the attention on me by making jokes or saying the most outrageous lies so people will see me and when they dont i feel bad. My friends always call me out on my attention seeking and i never let them know it bothers me but it does. I feel small and i want to be noticed and wanted and desired but nobody feels that for me. I always go out of my way to talk and call people but its hardly ever reciprocated and that makes me feel even worse. It also doesnt help that i have trouble with women. I crave intimacy with women who i have romantic interest in platonic interest in and even no interest in and its lead me to get with some questionable women just because im so desperate, i dont even care half the time. And when i do luck out and have a relationship with a girl its always short toxic or unfulfilling. Majority of the time its my fault for that because when i do land a good thing with a girl i treat them horribly like i dont care if they leave me or not but i always regret it because when theyre gone i feel even more alone but i often ignore the fact that it ended because of me which leads me to my narcissist tendencies 2. My narcissism Every relationship I’ve ever been in has ended because I treat them horribly and I see no problem with it. I always believe that there’s nothing wrong with the way that I treat these women and it often falls on my friends to help me realize what I’ve done wrong, because I often feel like I have done no wrong to them and it confuses me when they leave me. Ive said some horrible things, and done horrible things to alot of sweet girls all because of my nonchalant i dont care attitude and it always back fires on me in the end because i always feel alone and desperate after the fact. Im my own worst enemy it’s not even with women it’s with my friends to. I say horrible things just for the sake of being horrible and when they get upset at me, it’s almost like an instinct for me to believe that they’re being sensitive and I’m not wrong for what I did or said, what is wrong with me I’ve learned a little bit, but the narcissism is still there 3. My empathy or lack there of I’ve heard that narcissists have lots of problems with empathy, and I most definitely have a lack of empathy for others around me. I’ve always had trouble feeling for other people and understanding how my actions affect others and it’s ruined a lot of relationships that I’ve had with people and women. just the other day my friends were talking to me about how I don’t ever think about how what I do affects others around me and I’m not sure if it’s because I just don’t care or if it’s like an inability to and it’s also confuses me. I try sometimes to feel for other people, but I often feel like it’s superficial like I don’t understand why they’re mad but I see why they’re mad so it makes me feel bad and if i care enough ill apologize. Growing up affection and emotions were never some things that were important and I’d say 90% of my childhood. None of that was ever expressed. I’m not sure if that’s a factor of why I have problems empathizing with people but I’m sure it’s a reason one of them at least. I have ADHD, and I’ve often thought that I am on the spectrum because emotional intelligence has never been my strong suit. It used to be even worse years ago, but I’ve had a lot of bad experiences that have allowed me to learn, but it’s still not enough. And it makes me sad because I do care for the people around me and how they view me but When I feel like I’ve been called out, I get defensive and I get mean and I say things that I shouldn’t have but I’m so caught up in my own emotions that I see no wrong with what I’ve done because I’m trying to make them feel worse than how I do 4. My insecurity with my height I am extremely insecure with my height. All my friends are tall and I am so jealous of them. It makes me honestly kind of resent them and when they tell me their problems, I often think how could you feel this bad when you’ve been gifted with height? I try not to think about it, but I think about it all the time when I go out when I hang out with my friends before I go to bed when I wake up when I go to work when I go to school when I look at my parents when I look at my siblings. It follows me everywhere. I feel small like I don’t matter because I am small and I don’t know how to cope with that because I can’t change it. I’m sure that it’s a big factor for my attention, seeking because. when I’m with my friends that are tall there and noticed, and they do it effortlessly, but for me, I feel like I have to try to be noticed by being a fool I’m self-destructive, because I am insecure when people call me out on my bullshit a double down and I try to find anything that I could use to hurt them. It doesn’t matter if they trusted me with the information and when they are hurt because of me, I don’t care because they make me feel insecure and I try not to let them know that Which makes me look like an even bigger piece of shit because that’s how a lot of people know Me. People either think of me as autistic,a fool, A liar, a narcissist, a piece of shit and attention seeking a little kid or whatever else I don’t know. what do I do 5. What do i do How do I talk with this the loneliness the desperation, the narcissism the empathy, the insecurity how am I supposed to fight that I’ve done a lot of things I’ve isolated myself I’ve tried not to think about it. I’ve poured myself in the weed. I’ve talked about it I’ve cried about it. I’ve written about it, but nothing ever helps in at the end of the day I’m still the same. I don’t want to feel like this anymore I don’t wanna feel hopeless and like I hate myself I don’t wanna feel alone anymore. I don’t know what else to do these last couple of years. I’ve just been ignoring it because I’ve been surrounded by friends but now it’s just me and I can’t help to think about how lonely I am, and how desperate I am for any kind of intimacy I don’t want to get bad like I used to be but I’m kinda afraid that I will because sooner or later If I keep feeling like I am hopelessly alone, I’m gonna start acting reckless like I used to getting depressed but what are you guys think? Any advice or help? I just don’t know where else to turn. Thanks. This is a lot I’m sorry.

What is Batana Oil?

Batana Oil, also known as Miskito Oil, is a natural oil derived from the nuts of the American palm tree, Elaeis Oleifera, native to Central America, particularly Honduras. It has been traditionally used by the Miskito people for its therapeutic properties in promoting hair and skin health.
For centuries, the Miskito people have treasured Batana Oil for its deeply rooted cultural significance. This ancestral knowledge and tradition have been passed down through generations, highlighting the deep connection between the people and this natural remedy. The process of extracting the oil is a meticulous craft, involving traditional methods that honor the palm tree's natural gifts. The rich nutrients present in Batana Oil make it a versatile elixir for skin rejuvenation and hair nourishment. Its moisturizing properties are renowned for promoting healthy hair growth and providing a radiant complexion.

How is Batana Oil Made?

Batana Oil is extracted through a cold pressing technique from the nuts of the American palm tree, Elaeis Oleifera, to preserve its nutrients and natural properties. This traditional method of oil extraction ensures the oil retains its therapeutic benefits.
The process of making Batana Oil through cold pressing involves carefully selecting ripe Elaeis Oleifera nuts, which are then cracked open to reveal the kernels inside. These kernels are sun-dried before being cold pressed to extract the precious oil, ensuring that the nutrients and therapeutic properties are well-preserved. This method, commonly practiced in Central America, where the American palm tree is prevalent, is known for producing high-quality oil rich in nutrients essential for nourishing and rejuvenating the skin and hair.

What are the Benefits of Batana Oil?

Batana Oil offers numerous benefits for hair and scalp health, including promoting hair growth, nourishing the scalp with essential fatty acids like omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9, providing antioxidants for hair health, and adding shine to hair affected by environmental influences.
Originating from the lush Mediterranean region, Batana Oil has been used for centuries as a holistic solution for maintaining healthy and vibrant hair. Its natural composition not only accelerates hair growth but also aids in deeply penetrating the scalp to nourish and rejuvenate hair follicles.

This process not only encourages faster hair growth but also helps prevent hair breakage and split ends. By delivering essential nutrients such as Vitamin E, Omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants directly to the hair follicles, Batana Oil revitalizes the scalp, creating an optimal environment for hair growth to thrive.

Moisturizes and Nourishes Hair

Batana Oil serves as an excellent moisturizer that deeply nourishes the hair, providing essential hydration and combating frizziness. It acts as a natural conditioning oil for smoother and healthier hair.
The unique composition of Batana Oil allows it to penetrate deeply into the hair shaft, delivering nutrients that strengthen and repair damaged strands. This botanical oil is rich in antioxidants and fatty acids, which help to restore the hair's natural shine and vitality.

Its therapeutic uses extend beyond mere symptom relief, as the oil's nourishing components penetrate deep into the skin, enriching it with essential nutrients for long-lasting health. The oil's antioxidant properties combat the harmful effects of free radicals present in the environment, which often lead to hair damage. Regular use of Batana Oil can help in revitalizing and rejuvenating hair, making it stronger, healthier, and more resilient to external aggressors.

What are the Side Effects of Batana Oil?

While Batana Oil offers numerous benefits, some individuals may experience side effects such as allergic reactions, particularly those with hereditary hair loss concerns. Proper skin care is essential when using this oil.

2024.05.19 09:30 beeby8 I need help if anyone is willing to listen.

Hi everyone.
My name is Isaac. I am 26 years old and I live in Frankston, Victoria.
For almost the past decade (ever since leaving high school), I have gone back and forth between being employed in work and job hunting both in person and online and I am honestly so sick of it. It has severely impacted my mental health when 95% or more of the jobs that you apply for you either never hear back from or if you do, you are just told that you were unsuccessful with no reason given as to why. It really makes you feel like you are worthless and they don;t even give you any constructive criticism as to what you can do to improve for the next job that you go for. And somehow, doing it is even worse in person when you physically hand someone a resume, then turn around as you're leaving the store to watch them literally throw it in the garbage.
As far as the jobs I HAVE had in the last 10 years, I have done everything from call center work to delivery driving to factory work to a little bit of retail and tons of other stuff that I can't even think of right now.
Those were just the jobs that I had though. As far as what I specialize in, my last two jobs were working for Telstra selling phones and mobile/internet plans in an actual store and Aussie Broadband in their Residential Customer Service department. I was let go from Telstra after 6 months because I wasn't meeting their incredibly unrealistic KPI's for such a tiny store and I voluntarily left Aussie because several of my supervisors and managers there were not treating me very well. I did actually enjoy doing both jobs however as it was in a field and an area that I actually have an interest in, that being the internet and technology in general.
As for what I want to do next, I recently applied for a job as a field service technician for the NBN doing Fibre to the Premises upgrades in peoples homes which I already know alot about as I dealt with the NBN pretty much on a daily basis both at Telstra and Aussie Broadband.
Just a little bit about me personally though, I do happen to have Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD. I was diagnosed with both in my early primary school years and even though the conditions affected me far more and worse in my primary and high school years, it doesn't as much anymore, although it still does occasionally. I still do suffer from anxiety and depression every now and then and have the odd panic attack here and there too. I am not medicated for it the way I used to be when I was in school because I feel like I can fight it on my own with regular therapy sessions. I also did not like who I was when I was heavily dosed on so much medication. It turned me into a zombie like robot and took away everything that made me who I am as a person.
Because of this, I also have to be linked with a disability employment agency and I have been through so many of them in the last 10 years as well and the majority of them are garbage who don't care about you at all and just see you as a number, not a person. All they care about is getting you into any random job as quickly as they can without worrying about if its actually suitable for you or if you'll just be gone from there in a month or two.
I also have a physical medical condition where I had to have an operation to repair a serious hernia that I had. The operation was just over a year ago and while I am pretty much fully recovered from it now, it has started to come back, meaning that I will have to have another surgery in a few years, depending on how long it takes for it to fully return. It's only had a partial resurgence so far. This means that I can't do any physically demanding job (like a trade for example) that would only increase the rate at which the hernia comes back fully.
So why am I writing this? Basically, I have honestly tried everything that I can to try and find long term employment in a job and an area where I can grow my skills, meet new people and have financial security and independence. So I am appealing to my community to see if anyone can help me. If anyone is hiring or knows someone who is hiring who is looking for someone like me in an area that would suit me. If you do, please get in touch with me by messaging me directly on Reddit through the DM feature and if you have something for me, we can exchange more private contact details and go from there.
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this if you made it this far. I really appreciate it.

2024.05.19 09:25 BryggerHeise Numerological day analysis of 19-5–2024 23/5 Unconditional Love or ‘Cry for Love’?/ Expansion, Fullness, Order, Inner Motivation, Adventure, Freedom

Numerological day analysis of 19-5–2024 23/5 Unconditional Love or ‘Cry for Love’?/ Expansion, Fullness, Order, Inner Motivation, Adventure, Freedom
Inspired by the ability to Heal - to make things “whole” again- you want to express Unconditional Love today which then leads to feelings of Expansion, Order, Fullness, Adventure and Freedom.
19-5–2024 23/5 Unconditional Love or ‘Cry for Love’?/ Expansion, Fullness, Order, Inner Motivation, Adventure, Freedom
Spirit: 19 Healer factor
Soul: 5 Expansion; Fullness; Inner Motivation; Adventure; Freedom; Order
Body: 24 Day and Night; Light and Darkness
The sum total of today is 23: Unconditional Love leading to 5: Expansion. You want to love unconditionally through your Spirit’s Healer Factor, your soul’s Expansion, Order, Adventure and Freedom and your physical Ability to go through the Night to see the Light of a new day.

Day of the \"Prophet-Preacher\" Archetype Pentagram
Themes
There are three major themes driving your process. The axis of ‘Expansion of Self-Awareness”, the axis of ‘Focus-Fate’ and the axis of ‘Change-Transformation’.
Blue 2- Red 1: Axis of Expansion of Self-Awareness: 2(6)-7(1)
The axis of inner awakening and leadership drives the axis of the expansion of self-awareness. The challenge is to answer the quintessential question: “WHO AM I?’ As It is the second dominant axis in the Pentagram after the central axis, it is imperative in the 15 Pentagram that you work on the expansion of your self-awareness. The two opposing principles are the ‘Healing and Salvation number’ coming from the spiritual level to join with the ‘Visionary’ coming from the physical level. So working on the expansion of your self-awareness brings healing and salvation on the spiritual level which could translate into visionary powers on the physical level. Remember that the 2-7 axis is also called the psycho-somatic axis. If you fail or refuse to work on your self-awareness, it will have its effects on the physical body. Either making you feel depressed, without energy or even allow illnesses to grow.
26: ’Healing and Salvation number’.
Positively your Power -Force drives your Intuition and creates healing and salvation. Negatively it may shatter your intuition completely. The earthly-physical power may at times not accord at all with intuition on the spiritual level. It is a difficult number to live. The solution lies in its sum: When you use the feminine receptive side of you, you may be able to bring those two principles together.
76: ’Visionary’
Visionary is the higher dimension of ‘Insight, the Inner Rising Sun, the new dawn of awareness. Being the visionary, you start to understand -on a physical level here- the spiritual relationships and their origins.
The balance of these two principles lies in their sum: ‘Factor of Justice; Master’. It is the turnaround of the RuleJudge energy and it demands that Self-Awareness guides the Mind. Being a “Master” means having the awareness of being the Co-Creator of one’s own life. It has at its core the healing and salvation part of this axis.
Remember that there is no scientific all-encompassing answer as to Who or What or Why you are. In itself it is a Zen Koan and only you know if you have found the right answer. You do when you the answer resonates with your deep inner feeling of Justice and Mastery.
Blue 4- Blue 9: The axis of Fate, Focus and Concentration: 4(8)-9(3)
The way you relate to others and how you define your relationships drives your focus and concentration. In short: your relationships trigger what you need to let go of and what you need to hold on to. Should you fail to do so, then Fate falls upon you.
The two opposing principles are ‘Karma of the people', coming from the emotional level to join with ‘Spirit of Time, Reformer’ coming from the mental level. You basically want to combine your desire to solve Karma of yourself and others, with your mind awareness of what is actually going on in the world and which reforms are needed.
48: Karma of the People
It deals with the current state of our human development. 4-8 is the Astral-Emotional level in the Pentagram. You want to support yourself and others in resolving their fate. It brings the desire for perfectionism and the will to change. Your warm side (8) wants to invigorate your cold (4) side. It calls for a conscious decision for perseverance, intuiting to accept the light and the dark and merging the masculine and the feminine. The danger is to doubt and to refuse to move on. If you do that, it creates even more Karma.
93: Spirit of Time; Reformer
3-9 is the level of day consciousness n the Pentagram: being wide-awake in the here and now. Here you start to pick up the changes in the Zeitgeist, as you hold here all the accumulated experiences and wisdom of your life (and perhaps previous lives). It seeks the same perfection as in the Karma of the people. It calls for the conscious decision for the awareness that God (or the Divine) manifests itself through us and in us by means of Divine Guidance.
To balance these two principles you must take the conscious decision to learn and receive insights from karma and that those insights lead to focussing your life. It also brings out the “Luck-Monogram”. Once you hit the right focus, Luck will be bestowed upon you.
Blue 5 - Red 4: Axis of Change and Transformation: 59-(10)4
Focus concentration drives your change and transformation. You constantly need to ask yourself: what do I need to let go of and what do I need to hold on to, so that I may advance and create change and transformation in my life? The two opposing principles are the “Ascending Prophet” coming from the physical level to join with “Harshness of Life, Deepest Commitment” coming from the spiritual level. Being on the physical level you become aware that there is more to life than what you can hear, see, smell, taste or touch. On the spiritual level you are aware that the only constant is change-which scares the hell out of you.
59: The Ascending Prophet is still very much in the ‘learning phase’ and thus confronted with the Temptation to either refuse this spiritual calling or to consider as something too special for him and to only concern himself with the external or physical matters of life. The dedication to your own spirituality is the determining factor (in your life as well). If you do commit yourself to that, then from deep within come the conscious insights, which you then want to share, making you a prophet (perhaps against your will)
104: The only constant is ‘change’. Harshness of Life confronts you with that when you desperately try to hold on to what you have and what you know. It feels as if you can only serve progress and transformation through the deepest commitment- without being aware that it is you yourself that blocks the progress and commitment.
If you are able to use your receptive femininity to re-construct and re-new, if you trust your intuition to guide you to (un)deserved Luck and manifest your healing- and saving capacities, then Harshness of Life will give you the insight when to stop and when to transform . Life fulfillment will be the end result.
To balance the two principles you must become wide awake in the here and now and even take that to a higher level. It calls for developing an “awakened divine awareness” in which the only constant is change.
Levels of awareness’
Your spiritual, emotional and physical awareness is high today.
On the spiritual level obtained through ‘Healing and Salvation’ combined with ‘Harshness of Life’.
On the emotional level through ‘People’s Karma’ and ‘Detachment, Redemption’. On the physical level through the ‘Ascending Prophet’ and the ‘Visionary’.
All levels give you the desire to intuitively ‘Know God’ and by manifesting the Divine Connection. In practical terms is means that you listen and act upon your intuition, your insights, your inspiration, your ‘hunches’ as opposed to listening to your instincts.
Triangle
Your spiritual, emotional and physical awareness is further enhanced today by the connection to the 1st principle. It wants you to expand your serving, healing and aiding of others and yourself, with mastery and power at its core.
Quadrants
The spiritual-physical quadrant is again active today. You are actively trying to connect the spiritual world to the physical world. It carries the energy of ‘Transformative Healing and Salvation’ and the energy of ‘Immortal Re-Birth, Renewal’.
Note: If your birthday is today, the topics described above are your topics for 2024. Should a baby be born on this day, then today’s themes are the baby’s life-themes.
