[HELP] Plugins for sending paragraphs to another note

2024.05.17 14:24 CuriousBilal [HELP] Plugins for sending paragraphs to another note

I capture ideas throughout the day that come to my mind in a note called "Inbox"...
then at the end of day I put those ideas (from inbox) in their best note so that I can easily find them later. (By the way, I use PARA method for organization.)
Now, the problem is... It's been a week and I haven't put those "Inbox notes" into their notes and I'm here looking at the piles of little lines of notes which I have to individually put in their places.
Is there a plugin to make this easy... where I can just select the text, hit a hotkey and search the regarding note and just send it to that note?
"Send" is the keyword here. Not go into the note, find the place, hit enter, paste and then come back to the "Inbox note" and repeat that for 200 times at least.
I hope that makes sense!!!

Kasalanan ko ba kung sinasabihan ko bf ko na tanggalin facemask nya when taking pictures??? at sinabihan ko pa na i think it's disrespectful kapag nagfafacemask sa photos lalo na intimate??? idk
Hi everyone!
This happened multiple times and it's fine health protocol nga yang facemask dba? pero in crowded places mas nagagamit but when it's only the two of us like walang masyado tao pag nasa labas, he keeps on wearing it lalo na when we're taking photos and nakakasira na din ng confidence.
I suggested to take off his mask pero sya pa tong galet kasi dami kong sinasabi. He doesn't even know he is ruining the photo and the confidence that I tried having para lang makapagpicture kami kahit sobrang insecure ako sa mukha ko. I also encouraged him by telling him how gwapo he is and more kasi baka dba one day magtanggal ng face mask.
This time around, he sent me a phoo with his friends and it bothers me na sya lang yung nakatakip mukha with his facemask and others hindi. Kaya sinabihan ko in a nice way na approach na bakit di nya tinatanggal yung facemask nya sayang yung capture ng moment with your friends baka mag look back ka and magsasabi na sana d ako nagfacemask ganun and he snapped. He said I was looking for another fight.

2024.05.16 08:46 Correct_Chipmunk5966 [ROUTINE HELP] 35yo F Skincare (normal)

Hello,
I have normal skin, no breakouts, wrinkles, fine lines, or hyperpigmentation. My biggest concern would be texture, my skin could be softesmoother. I also do notice a little bit of sagging, but could just be some weight gain, still maybe something could help lol. I think I should start incorporating anti-aging products including sunscreen (available in AU), looking for recs/alts to what I already use. The list below is things I use and/or have but hardly use.
Currently using
Make Up Remover: BareMinerals Smoothness Hydrating Cleansing Oil (I do not like cleansing waters)
Cleansers: YTTP Kale Superfood Cleanser, daily Dry days: KiraMoon Silkie Rinse Gentle Hydrating Ceramide Cleanser OR La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser (open to alternatives for dry days)
Toners/Treatments: Son&Park Beauty Water as a daily toner, mornings I've stopped using my Dennis Gross Peel Pads as a nighttime treatment, but I do miss it Honestly, my favorite steps are toneserum. I think they make a big difference for me, open to suggestions!
Essences: Mary & May Blackberry Complex Essence, Dior Capture Totale Intensive Essence, Tatcha The Essence (havent used them consistently yet)
Serums: Dior Capture Totale Le Serum, Tatcha Silk Serum, Skin1004 Centella Probio-Cica Intensive Ampoule, Olay Retionol Serum (havent used consistently), COSRX snail mucin (dont notice a difference with this one).
Moisturizers: I dont like using moisturizers often since I find using toner and serums is enough for me. I like Sleeping Packs a lot, I use Skin1004 Centella Hyalu-Cica Sleeping Pack or Pacifica Wake Up Beautiful Sleeping Mask. Sometimes, I'll go in with an actual moisturizer like Saint Jane Hydrating Petal Cream, Pacifica Ceramide Barrier Cream, Dior Capture Totale Cell Energy, Tatcha Weightless Firming or Dewy Skin, Kinskin Oat Ceramide Relief Oil
Facial spray: none, open
Sunscreen: Biore UV Aqua Rich (burns my eyes) Beauty of Joseon (burns), Pacifica Future Youth SPF 50 (also burns). I've tried Peter Thomas Roth Tinted Mineral, Murad City Skin, La Roche Posay Anthelios, Sheseido Wetforce - all decent and no burns but open to trying anything new! edit: I moved to AU and I think the recommended is SPF 50 and above. I prefer mineral but doesn't matter. I don't care about white cast. I think above 10% titanimum dioxide/4% zinc are the good ones, right? Can't remember :)
Thank you

2024.05.15 10:03 reddithenry 2023 Ausone

£2640/6
A blend of 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Merlot, the 2023 Ausone has a pH of 3.63 and a deep garnet-purple color. It is very mute and reticent to show its personality to start, needing a lot of shaking and pleading to coax out a series of intense scents: fresh blackberries, violets, licorice, pencil shavings, and tar, leading to an undercurrent of Sichuan pepper and fertile loam. The medium-bodied palate has wonderful tension and is incredibly taut and tight-knit, offering glimpses at layers of mineral and floral accented fresh blackberry flavors. It is textured by incredibly ripe, fine-grained tannins, delivering a very long finish, laced with mineral sparkles."98-100 Points, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Independent (Drink 2030-2060).
"I don't think I have tasted an Ausone like this. The purity of fruit and fluidity is so primary, like perfectly picked grapes with their juice. Then there is citrus freshness. It's muscular, with toned tannins that caress the palate and give a seamless finish. This really could push the boundaries for the character of Ausone, in the way of finesse with structure. Watch it. 60% cabernet franc and 40% merlot."98-99 Points, James Suckling.
"Density and well-cushioned fruit, another stunning vintage of a wine that somehow manages to make an effortless impression, edges of cloves and grilled sandalwood, full of nuance and capturing the aromatics depths and heights of the vintage, gorgeous. 100% new oak. Philippe Baillarguet cellar master, Vauthier family owners, organic certified in the vineyard."97 Points, Jane Anson (Drink 2032-2050).
"The 2023 Ausone was picked September 14 to 30 and matured for a planned 20 months. It has a wonderful bouquet that is very floral in style and perfectly controlled, perhaps more refined than the 2022 (which incidentally had a degree more in alcohol). The palate is medium-bodied with a silky smooth entry, finely tuned with impressive mineralité. It just gently "rolls out" on the languorous finish. This is a more understated Ausone compared to recent vintages, but it exudes sophistication and could easily surpass the Vauthiers' 2022." 96-98 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous (Drink 2028-2060).
“The 2023 Ausone reveals an incipient bouquet of violet, smoke, dark wild berries, spices and cherries, all beautifully interwoven with creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with a rich chassis of tannin, it has a vibrant core of fruit and a long, mineral, vanillin-inflected finish. At 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Merlot, this ranks alongside the 2014 vintage as one of the most Cabernet-dominant Ausone vintages of recent years, and it will mature for 20 months in new oak barrels.”95-97 Points, Yohan Castaing, The Wine Advocate (Drink 2025-2055).

Building an automated testing system for graphical software using QtTesting
Automated testing is an essential component of modern large-scale software. High amounts of automated test cases are used to maintain the stability of large software products. For the software with a graphical user interface (GUI), establishing an automated testing system can be challenging due to limited resources. Previously, the author has written articles on automated testing for engineering simulation CAE software, see “Automated Testing for General-Purpose Engineering Simulation CAE Software”, “Quickly Create Regression Test Cases for WELSIM”, and “Automated Regression Testing for General-Purpose Engineering Simulation CAE Software”. This article presents how to use QtTesting to quickly implement an automated testing system for graphical software from a software development perspective.
https://preview.redd.it/6i0l2gi9di0d1.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=f946effd4b35f4e44678dbc840fabef01a772804
QtTesting is an open-source testing framework with a friendly license, similar to BSD3, and can be used for commercial products. It has been applied in practical instances for large-scale software such as VTK, ParaView, Slider3D, and WELSIM, proving to be an effective and user-friendly testing framework. As long as the software utilizes QT as its GUI framework, QtTesting can be used as the foundational component for the testing system. The source code of QtTesting can be directly downloaded from https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/qttesting or https://github.com/Kitware/QtTesting.
QtTesting is officially endorsed for UI testing. Although, in practical use, it not only can test GUI, but also can test any other functionalities of a product through the properties provided by the GUI, such as the accuracy of calculation results. Many of the numerical results in WELSIM can be validated through the functionality of QtTesting.
https://preview.redd.it/bir67ehbdi0d1.png?width=1332&format=png&auto=webp&s=cec341ccf972fa1df006aebb0c53829d5c37d9e4

QtTesting Framework

The Testing Module of QtTesting consists of two major modules: Translator and Player. Both modules establish connections with widgets in the QT framework to interact with the GUI framework. The translator captures events or signals of the widgets, while the player controls the widgets by traversing all active widgets to obtain the current object of the widget.

Test Translator

The translator module provides users with a fast way to create test files, essentially acting as a macro command for mouse, keyboard, and widget controls. When users perform certain low-level Qt actions such as “mouse movement,” “button press,” “button release,” etc., the generated signals will be captured and converted into higher-level events that can be serialized and played, such as “button activation.” The pqWidgetEventTranslator class and its derived classes play an important role in QtTesting. The derived classes of pqWidgetEventTranslator need to implement the translateEvent() method to handle Qt events and convert signals into high-level events consisting of two strings: a command and a command parameter (which may be empty). Finally, the high-level events are passed to their output container by emitting the recordEvent() signal once or multiple times. This is saved to an XML file, completing the recording of a macro command.
https://preview.redd.it/uu3xq5yfdi0d1.png?width=1450&format=png&auto=webp&s=6a6fbee0873b08024b6dad1ef25a06f43a99155b
During program execution, pqEventTranslator receives every Qt event that occurs in the entire application runtime and sequentially passes Qt events to each pqWidgetEventTranslator instance. The high-level events emitted by pqEventTranslator can be captured by corresponding observers. Observers either serialize and print the high-level events, or save them. Currently, QtTesting includes two observers, pqEventObserverStdout and pqEventObserverXML, which serialize high-level events to standard screen output and XML files, respectively. Developers can also create their own observers to implement custom functions, such as serializing events to log files or Python scripts.
https://preview.redd.it/36v9bblhdi0d1.png?width=980&format=png&auto=webp&s=e38287db5e10ee95b4952b64b518e578f2ce85c7
The translator module can also record check events, such as verifying a property. During the check, an overlay will be drawn on the widget where the mouse hovers. A green overlay indicates that the widget can be checked; if the overlay is red, it indicates otherwise. When clicking on the widget for checking, a check event will be recorded, and a related QString value will be output. This feature is a crucial part when verifying numerical results in WELSIM automated testing.
https://preview.redd.it/gtga3biidi0d1.png?width=526&format=png&auto=webp&s=79c056ce858122d7dd64f21c90d00dddd2e80094

Running Tests

The essence of running automated tests is to play back recorded macro commands. In the QtTesting framework, pqEventSource provides an abstract interface for objects that provide a stream of “high-level events.” pqXMLEventSource inherits from pqEventSource and implements specific functionality. It is capable of reading XML files generated by pqEventObserverXML.
https://preview.redd.it/4lazua0ldi0d1.png?width=962&format=png&auto=webp&s=221bbd6ef049297228191c017713063f8f2a1b44
pqEventPlayer maintains a set of pqWidgetEventPlayer objects responsible for converting high-level events into low-level events. pqEventDispatcher retrieves events from pqEventSource and passes them to an instance of pqEventPlayer for execution. During runtime, each high-level event is encoded into three strings (object pointer, command, and parameters). Those are passed to pqEventPlayer::playEvent(). pqEventPlayer decodes the pointer address and uses it to locate the corresponding widget. Then, pqEventPlayer passes the high-level event and widget to each pqWidgetEventPlayer until one emits a signal indicating the event has been handled.
https://preview.redd.it/ka93c64mdi0d1.png?width=1444&format=png&auto=webp&s=1fc104d9f50dd951279b1e807df99e3c73ed088c

Creating New Translators and Players

A new translator must at least reimplement the translateEvent(QObject object, QEvent event, int eventType, bool& error) method. First, it must check if the object is of the correct class. Then, it should handle the case of pqEventTypes::ACTION_EVENT, saving the command and related parameters. Sometimes it should also be able to handle pqEventTypes::CHECK_EVENT.
Similarly, a new player should at least reimplement the playEvent(QObject* object, const QString& command, const QString& arguments, int eventType, bool& error) method. First, it should handle pqEventTypes::ACTION_EVENT, converting the read command and parameters into Qt commands, returning true for events it can handle. For checking commands, it should be able to handle the pqEventTypes::CHECK_EVENT event type. Using the provided command and parameters to check the current value of the Qt object, it should set the error variable to false in case of different values, but it should return true for all handled check events, even failed ones.
Sometimes translator and player classes will correspond one-to-one. Developers can refer to pqLineEditEventTranslator and pqLineEditEventPlayer for simple examples, and pqAbstractItemViewEventTranslatorBase/pqAbstractItemViewEventPlayerBase for advanced examples.

Running Tests

The source code of QtTesting is easy to compile, provided with a CMake program, which allows quick compilation into a static or dynamic library. Since this testing module is called in only a few places in the product, compilation into a static library is appropriate.
QtTesting has been successfully applied in software such as VTK, ParaView, but no test cases are available publicly. Fortunately, the general-purpose engineering simulation software WELSIM not only uses QtTesting as the GUI testing framework, but also open-sourced all test cases. Users can download WELSIM and the test cases to experience automated testing based on QtTesting.
https://preview.redd.it/xng1jxypdi0d1.png?width=1984&format=png&auto=webp&s=84132581457d16d58929363a4691c1927485ba49
WELSIM’s automated testing user interface is based on the interface of QtTesting, with additional features, such as:
  1. Support for reading *.wstb files, which contain a set of *.xml files, allowing for easier reading of multiple test cases at once.
  2. Saving failed test cases to *.wstb files. Users do not need to manually select test cases for saving.
  3. Adding a right-click context menu for selecting or deselecting test cases.
Developers can also add other functionalities as needed.

Conclusion

QtTesting is a free testing system for Qt GUI frameworks. It not only provides the core functions for capturing QT events and signals, but also offers a user-friendly interface, making it friendly for both developers and end-users. QtTesting can assist software developers with quickly establishing testing systems. Its built-in functionality for capturing and controlling widgets can meet the testing needs of most products, and it is easy to adapt. Developers can add new testing modules based on the widgets of their own products.
We have successfully applied QtTesting to the automated testing of the simulation software WELSIM, achieving great results. The content discussed in this article can be applied not only to CAE simulation software, but also to any graphical software built using the QT framework.
WelSim and the author are not affiliated with Qt or QtTesting. There is no direct relationship between WelSim, the author, and the Qt or QtTesting development teams or organizations. The reference to Qt and QtTesting here is solely for technical blog articles and software usage reference.

2021 Meme Gains Approaching Before Rate Cuts? Lets Dive In 🐳
2021 was a magical time where the standard for turning 100's into 6 figures and thousands into millions required a smartphone, Robinhood Options account and 4th grade reading level to change your life. It looks like we may be seeing another round of life changing money being made in the markets behind some similar names as well. The meme stock craze stems from a stocks value being held in social media mentions despite how bad the business may be.
"Roaring Kitty" the man behind the original frenzy resurfaced on "X" this last week and this sent people into a frenzy where Gamestop & AMC has made life changing money for a lot of people on the timeline this week. Today alone GameStop saw a 72% surge on Monday's trading session.
The PeloSwing Trading group was able to capture a 1600% bagger on AMC 3.5C on the 5/17 EXP, as AMC also flew 31% in the trading session. There are plenty of other companies that have fallen into this category and in some cases are truly undervalued companies that still have some upside potential, just with WAY more risk and a potential LONG wait time to see the fruits of an investment. Other players in this space that have seen a recent surge are BlackBerry with a 12% run up in the market recently as well, more than 44 million shares were exchanged in Tuesdays trading session, when the average volume is 8.8 million.
This recent rise back into the meme stock industry is showing that gains from 2021 might be on the table again for 2024. Here are some other companies that you can also have on your "Meme Stock WatchList":
  • $BB $SPWR $AMC $GME $CNK

2024.05.13 13:32 Lluvia4D Optimizing Weekly Review for GTD and PARA Systems: Inbox

Hello everyone,
I've been using both the Getting Things Done (GTD) and PARA systems, which I believe complement each other well by covering different key aspects of productivity and organization. However, I'm currently facing a challenge with my weekly review process.
I have a weekly task that summarizes the checklist of steps to follow, but I'm unsure about the ideal distribution of tasks and how to allocate the workload according to the authors' recommendations. I understand that the information may vary depending on the source.
My main concern lies in processing my various inboxes:
It's clear that the PARA weekly review handles notes, voice recordings, and files within the PARA distribution in documents and cloud storage. The author also mentions emptying these inboxes during the review.
I believe the best approach for reviewing email is to process it completely and assign actions as needed, which aligns with the GTD methodology. However, I have doubts about how to handle my reading list and screenshots, as I often take screenshots on my mobile device to quickly capture ideas or notes.
I'm curious to know:
I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice from those who have experience integrating GTD and PARA in their weekly review process. Thank you in advance for your help!
pd: also, do you think it is better to do PARA first or GTD during the week?

2024.05.12 17:09 MY_GUY_C4RG0 A meandering rant about work making me miss seeing the big solar storm last night.

Idk if this is the right sub for this type of rant but it's most definitely anti work so we'll see 🤷‍♂️
TLDR; A long-winded rant about me missing my chance to see the Auroras because I had to get up early for a job I can't take days off from.
Preemptively, I recognize my position of privilege when it comes to being able to complain about something comparatively menial to the other absolute atrocities happening in the world today, but this feels therapeutic and, if nothing else, I want to put it out there for selfish reasons (possible vindication idk).
Since the start of my senior year in highschool I've worked in my family's business as a vendor to some local grocery store chains, I get up at five am five days a week and three am on the other two days. I only get national holidays off and sick days are all but non-existent, I've been able to have my dad pick up for me if I was vomiting and couldn't stand or something. I've been doing this job for about three years now. It pays well considering I still live with my parents and they don't make me pay rent, but it's nowhere near the amount I could live on my own.
I recently picked up a second job at a greenhouse with a shitty boss, the workers (like usual) run the store and a lot of the decisions when my boss can't be fucked to leave their office, but we still get paid far less than them. I work my greenhouse job three days a week and go from my morning job straight to the greenhouse and I get home around five thirty-ish. All this context is to establish that I don't have a lot of free time and what little I do I cherish and protect as fiercely as I can.
While I don't think my conservative ultra religious city has much in the way of a night life, I have no way of knowing for sure because of my line of work I've needed to be home and asleep by nine o'clock ish so I can get up on time the next morning. My body is really weird in the way that if I don't get enough sleep I will literally wake up with what I imagine a hangover to be like (vomiting and a horrible headache) so I never got around much in highschool or anytime afterwards because the night was basically off limits to me. It's hard to meet friends who have a similar schedule where they're free during the day and occupied at night, but I'm autistic as hell so I can just put that on my tab in terms of social problems.
The whole reason I'm making this post though is because of what happened this morning. I'm a huge astronomy nerd, I love stargazing, looking through my telescopes at different shit I can barely make out through all the light pollution, and trying my hand at astrophotography when I can. That whole hobby has basically been cut out of my life since I got the vendor job.
Just last night was a huge solar storm, Auroras would've been pretty plainly visible from where I live and I haven't been able to see them because it happened on a night where I was getting up at three am. Since it's a family business, we have no other employees that could fill in for me, days off just aren't a possibility. Waking up this morning, I saw so many people's stories on Snapchat of all the gorgeous pictures they were able to capture of the auroras and/or the times they shared with their friends or partners stargazing.
I'm just utterly devastated, I've never been able to experience night life with the small handful of friends I do have and for the foreseeable future I won't be able to. The society we've been trapped in just seems so hopeless to me, I can't even afford a break from work to look at the fucking sky. I've been distracting myself all morning throughout the job with different podcasts and videos and any other para social relationships I've developed, but that's just it, in order to stop feeling so shitty about missing this huge storm and the isolation that comes from not being able to experience it with others, I've pacified myself with media and tried to claw back any sort of comfort I can get, i just hate it.

2024.05.12 09:25 Goodisabelle Youtubers who shared Build your second brain techniques by Tiago Forte do not do it justice.

This book is so underrated. I see lots of YouTubers trying to summarise this book and clearly do not convey the message in the full-length book. The reiterated messages in the book were written repeatedly for emphasis. The stories shared were inspiring. The stoic advice hidden between the passages of “techniques” was memorable. These understanding of little gold nuggets of advice are the differences between people who end up actually taking advantage of the second brain system and those who are simply reading and forgetting.
I hear of friends who tell me they know the PARA system well, but rarely do I find them using it at all. More than PARA, they will not understand the point of having a second brain.
Edit: I realized my comments above are too brief and should be substantiated with some practical examples of where I think the gold nuggets are. So below are some key phrases that may pique the interest of those who haven't read the book. Hopefully, readers resonate with some of these and dive deeper instead of skimming the surface of this book.

2024.05.11 20:02 2ndgenerationcatlady Trip Report: Four(ish) days in Early May

I’ve noticed this sub tends to have a lot of people asking for feedback on their itineraries, but few people returning to the sub to share their reflections post-trip. When I’m planning a trip, I find these sort of trip reports from ordinary people (as opposed to the countless outdoor influencer blogs you find online that rave about everything) to be the most helpful – so I’m posting this here as a way of paying it forward. It’s long, but I’ve used headers to help people skim.

Basic Details:

Who was on the trip: My partner and I, who are both in our 30s and in somewhat above average shape, at least compared to the typical American. We jog/hike/do yoga on a weekly basis, but are by no means super fit. Our style of travel with trips like this is to have fairly full days, but we also don’t like feeling rushed either.
When: May 4 – May 7.
Weather: May 4 and 5 were mostly solid days of rain (moderate to light), May 6 was rain and then scattered showers/sun, May 7 started with light rain and ended with mostly sun. Of course, it was no doubt different in different parts of the park.

Our Itinerary:

Day 1 (Lake Quinault): Because our trip began in the Columbia River George, today we woke up in Portland. We had been warned by a Reddit user that I-5 could get crowded on weekends, so we got up early and arrived at a coffee shop when they opened at 6am and then headed out to Lake Quinault. We encountered no traffic of significance, and arrived around 9:30. We did the 6mi Rainforest Loop trail near the park lodge first. I’d say the trail was a mix of lightly trafficked to moderately trafficked, depending on the section. Then we drove to the North Fork trailhead, stopping to see the big Sitka and the waterwall along the way. Then we hiked the North Fork trail up until Wolf Bar and headed back (5mi). This trail was totally empty, besides the one camper at Wolf Bar. You get a fair number of river views along the way. On the scenic driving loop, we saw a bear and a heard of elk. Then we drove to the Salmon House for dinner, and then checked in to the motel (Lake Quinault Inn).
Reflections: Physically this was a fine amount of hiking for one day, but it was moderate to light rain the entire time, which even though we were prepared in terms of gear, did make everything a bit more taxing (including driving). I would not recommend doing the 6mi version of the Rainforest Loop trail - I'd do the 4mi version instead. You don’t see anything too special in the longer version, and it requires you walk the end bit along the road which is not pleasant nor scenic (I had hoped you’d at least get lake views along the road, but it’s blocked by trees). The hike to Wolf Bar was very lovely, as good as the Hoh River Trail we’d do the next day, and much more remote. The Salmon House was a bit of a letdown – quite expensive and just okay – we split a meal with soup, and while the salmon was tasty, it was nothing special. Lake Quinault Inn is the cheapest option, and it’s perfectly comfortable.
Day 2 (Beaches and Hoh Rainforest): Another early start today to hit a 6am low tide at Beach 4. But beforehand we did a quick stop at the Tree of Life, then Beach 4 for tide-pooling, then Ruby Beach, and then Hoh Rainforest, where we did the Hall of Mosses and River Trail to 5mi Island and Back. Then we drove to Rialto Beach, though did not complete the hike. Stayed in Forks (Far West Motel), had dinner at the Westend Taproom Tip & Sip.
Reflections: The tree of life is a nice short stop, but I wouldn’t recommend people go out of their way to see this – it’s fine, but the experience in-person is not terribly different than the experience looking at a photo. I don’t mean to sound negative here, I’m glad we stopped, but sometimes I see itineraries where people drive all the way from Forks and back just to see this, and I wouldn’t recommend doing that – not worth the drive time. The tide pools at Beach 4 were a bit of a letdown. To be fair, the low tide was approx. 0.6 ft, not a negative tide. So perhaps that if it had been a negative tide, it would have been better. As it was, it was ok – we saw some sea anemones and a few star fish. But the pools we could see were not teaming with life (unlike what we’d experience later at Salt Creek Recreation Area). And the beach itself was less scenic than others we’d visit. Ruby beach was lovely, we spent about an hour there – we couldn’t do the “trail” on Alltrails due to a river crossing, but did hike a bit south to see some shallow caves. Spent about an hour here. Arrived a Hoh at 9:30am and I was a bit worried about potential lines to get in given this was a Sunday, but the parking lot was mostly empty. If you do the River Trail, there isn’t much need to do the other trails – Hall of Mosses does take you to a nice area, but there are equally impressive “halls of mosses” you pass through on the River Trail. Thankfully it was not crowded when we went, but it was started to get busy towards the end and I can see how it could get unpleasant in peak season. Again, it was raining the entire day, and in hindsight we should have not worried about getting to Rialto beach by 4:30pm so we could do hole-in-the-wall at low tide. By the time we did get to Rialto, we were both feeling a bit worn. Then to complete the hole-in-wall you either need to wade through a small river (we did not have gaiters) or clamber over a “bridge” of many downed trees – I felt okay doing this but my partner did not (we saw others do this, as well as many people turn back – I’d say if you are confident in your balance and not too fearful of heights, you’ll be okay – I would not take children though – short legs would make this much, much, harder). We still ended up spending enough time here that by the time we got to Forks, pretty much everything was closed (a lot of places close entirely or early on Sunday) and so the taproom was the only option.
Day 3 (Makah Museum and Ozette Loop): Our options for hiking at low tide were either very early or the afternoon. Initially the plan was do very early, but our bad luck with weather continued – the night before called for a potential morning thunderstorm. And at this point we were both a bit tired of hiking full days in the rain. So we slept in a bit, and then headed straight to the Makah Museum getting there a little after they opened at 10am. Much of this drive is very scenic along the Salish Sea (even saw some seals). Our plan was to re-check the weather once we were done. We spent a little over an hour at the museum, which was enough time to see everything. At that point, the weather in Ozette was looking a bit better so we decided to take a bit of a chance, and I’m so glad we did. Ultimately the weather was basically perfect – we finally got to enjoy a fair bit of sun. There were a few rain showers, but they were all short and light. The loop took us 6hrs, which included lots of time to explore the beach and take breaks. Then we ate dinner at the Breakwater Restaurant and Bar in Clallum Bay and headed to a yurt in a campground off of 101 in the Sol Duc area, arriving after dark.
Reflections: I am very glad today we got some good weather in the park – I know some people enjoy hiking in the rain, and I thought I was one of those people before this trip – but this trip made me realize that my capacity for hiking in the rain is two full days. The beaches, at least in our opinion, are so much more beautiful in the sunshine. Had it been a third full day of rain, I’m not sure what we would have done. In any case, the Ozette Loop was easily my favorite hike the entire time in ONP. The hike through the coastal forest/bogs is lovely, and the beach section was the prettiest beach we went to – not just because of the sun, but it was much more wild, covered in seaweed, crab shells, and all sorts of marine life, whereas the other beaches were mostly just stones. And there are just so many sea stacks, plus you can climb one at Sand Point. We also got to see a big bear on the beach, and found petroglyphs at Wedding Rocks. I think we appreciated these more after going to the museum, as well as the hike in general – the Makah Museum concerns the area of Ozette (the location of the archeological site), so I’d say it’s a must if you do this hike. Also nice was the fact that it was a lightly trafficked trail. The Breakwater Restaurant and Bar exceeded our expectations – the fried fish sandwiches are huge, and you get a great view of the sea.
Day 4 (Sol Duc, Salt Creek Recreation, Lake Crescent, Hurricane Ridge): Another early start, waking up at 5:30. This was because we wanted to get to Salt Creek in time for a -1.6 tide at 9am. We hiked the Sol Duc trail, which was practically empty when we arrived – we only saw three people the whole time. Then we headed to Salt Creek to catch the tide, picking up some excellent pie at the Blackberry Cafe along the way. I agree with everyone who says these tide pools are the best – they are excellent – teeming with life, though we only saw one blood star and no star fish. We also saw lots of seals in the water. You do need good shoes for this. A little over an hour was enough time for tide-pooling and eating pie while watching the seals frolic. From there we hiked the Devil’s Punchbowl trail, then we headed up Hurricane Ridge. Dealing with a last minute AirBNB cancelation had eaten up a bit of time en route to Hurricane Ridge, so we didn’t have much time for hiking up there, and given all the snow we mainly just enjoyed the view and hiked a bit of the way along the Hurricane Hill trail. Then we got fruit ice-cream at Welly’s and took the Kingston Ferry to Seattle.
Reflections: Today was another good weather day, thankfully – though it rained in the morning during the Sol Duc hike, otherwise it was mostly sunny and clear, allowing great views up at hurricane ridge (though we could see storms in the distance). This was an easy day, but as this point in the trip, that’s what we needed. Port Angeles is a cute town with really good coffee, I certainly see the advantage of staying here – probably would have switched the Sol Duc campground for a night in PA, even though it would have added a bit of driving.

Final Thoughts:

Sol Duc vs. Hoh vs. Quinault Rainforests: Hoh and Quinault are extremely similar in terms of flora and fauna, Sol Duc is similar but the trees are notably less covered in moss. That said, if you are short on time I wouldn’t feel compelled to see either Hoh or Quinault – they are lovely, but I’m not sure it’s worth the drive if you have less than two full days, and you’ll get the general idea at Sol Duc.
How long do you need: I’m glad we had four mostly full days. But I think a shorter trip that would capture most of the magic of ONP would include Hurricane Ridge, Salt Creek, Lake Crescent, Sol Duc, and Ozette Loop. I imagine one could do that in two full days.
Early May Timing: We did the trip when we did because I had a work trip to Seattle at the very end of April. I don’t regret it at all, but I’d recommend doing a trip mid to late May instead for a better chance of more sun-to-rain ratio. We perhaps got a bit unlucky with weather – the day after we left, even Forks was predicted to get over a week of pure sunshine. In any case, the benefit of going when we did is the crowds were negligible. We never had an issue with parking, and Hurricane Ridge was the only time we were around many people. Even the Hoh River Trail was lightly trafficked (perhaps because of the rain).
What to bring: We both have good 3L raincoats, and they really came in handy on this trip, as did rain pants. Trekking poles were also good to have, especially for the stream crossings on North Fork and Hoh River – but we split a pair and that was fine. I was glad to have GTX trail runners, but never felt like I needed waterproof boots – gaiters would have made some of the beach hikes with small “rivers” easier though. Gloves are also essential, as are lots of wool socks.
Ok, this was a long post but feel free to ask me any questions!

2024.05.10 11:33 scottaltham We just need a better task management interface / app and Notion would be amazing

Honestly, I use notion for all sorts, tables, documents, notes, journal entries etc. I use the PARA method and I'm really happy with it. Notion + Notion Calendar gives me :
BUT
SO
If Notion could do what they've done with CRON and buy a todolist app that integrates into your notion databases, it would honestly be a game changer for me. When i want to manage tasks, i just want that. Todoist is great because it just does just that. Tasks. And does it really well.
Anyhoo, do that Notion and I'd easily hand over money for the privilege every month. A full Notion based productivity system.

2024.05.09 09:13 OutrageousMilk7337 They can’t find my application

I tried applying for a Visa rewards card last May 2.
Wala akong notification of any kind na natanggap after the application, even when calling the hotline to check the status, in circles lang. Reference number > DOB then reference number na naman then DOB and so forth.
I then called their CS in hopes for an update, and ang sabi sakin wala daw sila ma pull up na record with the ref number and name. Possible daw na hindi na capture yung application kahit may reference number.
So I reapplied, but lo and behold, it was cancelled as a duplicate application.
I called again to check the first application, sabi nung una approved pero nung nagtanong ulit ako kung approved, sabi nung agent they had to escalate this but still wala pa din update til now and wala pa ding record na mapull up except for the duplicate application. So san galing yung approved na sinabi ni agent.
If visa rewards daw dapat kasi 3 banking days lang.
The best suggestion daw is to reapply nalang after 6 months para hindi ma auto cancel.
Ang gulo gulo naman ni UB :(

2024.05.07 21:02 actuk 2023 Clos du Marquis

6 x 75cl bottle £231 IB
Jane Anson 94/100
Squid ink, cassis, bilberry, roses, love the intensity and gorgeous salinity of this wine. Captures the sense of energy and florality in the best Cabernets of 2023, although retains the austerity that you expect from this site in its early years.
First vintage in the new cellars, moving from 40 vats to 80 vats, with 30 microvinification vats. Harvest September 6 to October 5, 50% new oak for ageing, 44hl/h yields.
Drink 2030 - 2045
Jane Anson, JaneAnson.com (April 2024)
Neal Martin, Vinous 91-93/100
The 2023 Clos du Marquis was picked from September 6 to October 5 at 44hL/ha and matured in 50% new oak. It has a complex bouquet, comprising a mélange of red and black fruit, cedar and subtle touches of violet—very charming. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grip. It’s a little creamy in texture on the entry, but there is solid backbone and a saline finish. This is very promising.
Drink 2029 - 2050
Neal Martin, Vinous.com (April 2024)
Antonio Galloni, Vinous 92-95/100
The 2023 Clos du Marquis might very well be the best Clos du Marquis I have ever tasted. A wine of freshness and verve, the 2023 is all nuance. Sweet red plum, blood orange, spice, flowers, mint and white pepper are all finely cut. The 2023 shows more vibrancy, less oak extraction and more refined tannins than in the past. It’s a glorious wine in every way. This early tasting is hugely promising. Clos du Marquis could turn out to be one of the real surprises of 2023.
Drink 2028 - 2043
Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com (April 2024)
Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW 89-91/100
The 2023 Clos du Marquis is deep garnet-purple in color. It needs a little swirling to coax out classic notes of cassis, fresh plums, and cedar chest followed by hints of graphite and Provence herbs. The medium-bodied palate is energetic and refreshing, with grainy tannins to support and a lively finish.
The blend is 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 9% Cabernet Franc. The alcohol is 13.5%.
Drink 2027 - 2037
Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, The Wine Independent (April 2024)
Wine Advocate 91-93/100
The 2023 Clos du Marquis is a rather serious, structured wine, evocative of cherries, dark berries and kirsch, framed by a touch of creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied and fleshy but structured, it's a taut, concentrated wine that will reward some patience.
William Kelley, Wine Advocate (April 2024)
James Suckling 95-96/100
This offers beautiful blackcurrants and blackberries with hints of chocolate and walnuts. Medium- to full-bodied with vivid acidity that adds tension and freshness to the mid-palate. It’s full of life and vibrancy, very fine and polished, and with nicely integrated tannins. Long finish. 56% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot and 9% cabernet franc. What will be better between 2022 and 2023?

2024.05.06 16:59 Vast_Development5986 Shrek Bible

This is not finished and is written out of order so I may write part one one day and part two another they are ment to have diffrent style and be a bit bad.
Old Testiment as Written By Sir Eddie Murphy
Genesis
With his hands and ass cheeks he created our universe and infused it with life. He did this after he had one too many chicken Alfredos; the rupture caused him to poop with such force it caused a bang. A big bang. The bang caused earth to form. At this time it was just an empty wasteland with no life. However shrek with his omnibevelence wiped his ass with earth after the great shart. This invigorated the earth with things such as the grass and dirt we stand on and the cow birds and Mexicans we see. Shrek saw the earth and saw it was good. He named it the great onion in the sky. Finally Shrek created the things that mortal men can not see. Feelings. Hunger and thirst among other things. The reason shrek created hunger and feelings of sadness is that he new with his omniscience that they would lead to the creation of the chicken Alfredos form before. With this shrek created death as all must have an opposite and death is the unlucky opposite of life. This pained shrek to see his beloved creatures die so he created an afterlife so great and unfathomable that no mortal human could understand. This was named the great Taco Bell beyond the sky. With this creation he came down to the earth and formed the only country's the UK, Beeston, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Bramley and Australia however that has now been destroyed.
Early workings
After shrek made the world and lit it up with the stars in the night sky. He made the first human a man of pure faith and love for all who love shrek. Butter pants. Butter pants was sent down to watch the inhabitants and what they do, for shrek gave them free will. Butter pants became restless however after some time and so was given from shrek a wife and here was the first woman. Lois Griffin. They spent thier days with shrek on earth. Playing, telling stories and overall living a carefree life. After some time butter pants and lois griffin had kids. Three children Bob sob and George and in thier childhood they lived much the same as their perants. However, when they grew up they began to become more restless. Arguments rose and fell quickly like sparks. The three boys began to despise not just each other but thier family and shrek. This lead to the three boys leaving shrek to live somewhere else they all set off alone in diffrent directions. After many more years of distance to shrek the three boys began to forget. Not thier anger towards each other, although the argument that started had been lost, but their love for shrek. However one day one of the three boys sob discided to meet again with shrek for a request. "Lord please give me mercy for I beg of you a wife or a child". The Lord forgave sob and bestowed on him a child. The best ever seen. Three years past and the child named Mr bean was showing incredible intelligence and was growing quickly and nicely. Sob had now reconciled with lois and butter pants and they lived happily with each other. But the other boys became jealous and planned to kill Mr bean at night. Late one night they set thier plan into action and when all were asleep they suffocated the child without a sound. However with some sixth sense butter pants woke up and ran into the room to see his beloved dead. Feelings of anger, hate, sadness and distress fell over him like a great weight. He screamed and shouted at the boys and them tried to get his revenge. And after a while of fighting sob killed George. Shrek awoke along with lois griffin and he stormed into the room. "What have you done you animals" shrek screamed the boys did nothing for they saw the power of shrek never seen by man. "You live a life without me and you murder directly going against my will. For this you shall be punished as one of the weak in the world already unforgiven as blind mice together with the lost George. I leave you now for I never knew you".
The the aftermath
Shrek sent down along with lois and butter pants many men and woman to earth and split them out across the lands. Story's of shrek were told but they were eventually lost or warped beyond repair. Many generation came and when developing with the lost power of shrek. Because of this lost power they now fought with new pains. However shrek still loved humanity. The three blind mice lived as a testament to shreks wrath although they were seen as a legend and two the human eye seen as just mice.
To worship shrek
Shrek must be worshiped in a shrek church (an onion shaped dome to signify the warm and layers shrek brings to us) and do the Thug Shake. Hymns can also be sung like All Star. The shrek community needs to look after one another and this goes for humanity as a whole. The shrek onion is not only a place of worship but a place of giving.
The nature of shrek
Shrek is all powerful and all knowing he sees all that has happened all that is happening and all that will happen. Shrek does not have an age. He is master of all. There before the first silence was broken. He loves all who belive in him. I bear witness their is no God But Shrek.

Title: "The Gingerbread Guardian"
In the quaint village of Sugarlandia, where the scent of freshly baked cookies filled the air, there lived a humble baker named Mrs. Butterbuns. Known far and wide for her delectable treats, Mrs. Butterbuns had a secret ingredient that gave her creations a magical touch: a pinch of stardust harvested from the heavens above. One crisp autumn day, as Mrs. Butterbuns was preparing her famous gingerbread cookies for the annual Harvest Festival, something extraordinary happened. As she sprinkled the stardust into the dough, a tiny spark ignited, and from the oven emerged a gingerbread man unlike any other. With a mischievous grin and a twinkle in his eye, the Gingerbread Guardian came to life, imbued with the wisdom of the stars and a mission to protect the village from harm. As word of the miraculous cookie spread, so too did the tale of the Gingerbread Guardian. Children gathered round to hear stories of his daring adventures, from foiling the plans of the mischievous Candy Bandits to rescuing lost kittens from the treacherous Toffee Swamp. But amidst the laughter and joy, a shadow loomed on the horizon. The wicked Witch of the Wastelands, jealous of the village's prosperity, devised a dastardly scheme to steal the magical stardust for herself. With her army of sugary minions, the witch launched an assault on Sugarlandia, intent on capturing the Gingerbread Guardian and seizing control of his celestial powers. But the people of Sugarlandia refused to surrender without a fight. Armed with rolling pins and cookie cutters, they rallied to the defense of their beloved guardian, standing shoulder to shoulder against the encroaching darkness. In the epic battle that ensued, sugar flew and frosting splattered as the forces of good and evil clashed in a showdown of epic proportions. With courage and determination, the Gingerbread Guardian led the charge, his gingerbread heart ablaze with the fire of righteousness. In the end, it was not brute strength or magic that prevailed, but the power of friendship and unity. Together, the villagers and their guardian vanquished the witch and her minions, restoring peace and harmony to Sugarlandia once more. And so, the legend of the Gingerbread Guardian lived on, a sweet reminder that even the smallest among us can make a difference in the world, one sprinkle of stardust at a time.
The beginning of the shrek religion
For thousands of years shrek kept silent on his existence. Watching over the earth not interfering with anything. This was to wait for the perfect moment when humanity was ready. This fist contact happened happened to Eddie Murphy. Eddie was a poor donkey just like any other. He waited for nothing wandering like a lost soul. He lived on a farm with an farmer however they was not treated equally. Eddie lived outside with no shelter eating grass. While the farmer ate grand feists with his family. Shrek did not like this shrek loved donkey can couldn't sand to see them be treated in such a way. So one day shrek, for the first time ever, came down to Eddie and gave him knowledge, knowledge that no mortal had had to this point. The knowledge to save humanity. With this gift shrek also granted Eddie with the gift of speech. With the help of shrek Eddie managed to jump the fence leading to his freedom from the farmer and into the town square. Their he shouted with glee that he had seen God. "Shrek" "shrek" "that is his name" the people in the town were confused and in awe of seeing a talking donkey. But then from the sky out dropped a seed that dropped next to Eddie's feet. Eddie shouted with all his might "plant this seed as it is the seed of shrek". One of the humans stepped up to pick up thr seed and planted it for Eddie. And when asked his name he said proudly "Farquad". But then from the ground sprouted a large white onion. Eddie raised his voice again "spread the word of shrek as I will. I hope to see you all in the kingdom of shrek." From thier Eddie set off on a voyage to spread the good word of shrek and farquad was appointed leader of the village.
The fall of lord farquad
Under the rule of farquad the village grew quickly. Many people came from around the world to see the great onion. They built holy places to shrek to worship him around the globe. However as the years past religion became less important and lord farquad became more greedy untill life for the people became worse while farquad lived a lavish life forgetting his Shrek given purpose. Until one day Eddie came back to see what had happened to the village. He was shocked to see little to nobody worshiping shrek. They were too busy being over worked by farquad. It seemed like their was nothing Eddie could do so he did what he always did in times of need. Pray. And shrek answered. From the heavens he brought Butter pants. Together with Eddie they came up with a plan to over take lord farquad. Under the blanket of night the three suck into the Palace of lord farquad and into his bedroom. "What are you doing here donkey" lord farquad said "What have you done too the holy land Eddie retorted "What I needed too" shouted lord farquad. But then from the shadows butter pants appeared. "Do the roar" he said. Lord Farquad looked confused. "Do the roar" he repeated many more times untill the annoyance reached its peak. "Shut up" farquad screamed. Farquad had to stop the noise. Somehow and the only way he knew was to jump. "Do the roar" was repeated many more times untill lord farquad had enough and shouted 'ill jump if you don't shut up". The last thing lord farquad heard before he jumped was "Do the roar". The village for years to come became a holy land for all.
The afterlife
Years had past. Eddie was now far from his foal days. He now lived his days in a bed each day shorter of breath and one day closer to death. Untill one day he died with his pussy beside him he prayed. The pain of his heart soon relived and he was sent to the great Taco Bell beyond the sky. There he met shrek. "Sup I'm god" shrek said eating his 4th chalupa that day. Eddie looked around at the Taco Bell. It was all onions. Shrek finished his chalupa and said "Eddie Murphy you are my most trusted. When I one day come down to humanity come with me you are my protector". Eddie left to see what the afterlife offered but their was so much so many layers to go. He met Danny devio. No I will not explain further. Its an after life joke you non afterlife people wouldn't understand.
Pus post Eddie's death
Seeing the death of his parental figure broke pus. However though the clouds he saw shrek who comforted pus during these times. Throughout the day he stopped crime however at night he stayed at the milk bar to the early hours of the morning this behaviour culminated during a night like any other when he was kidnapped. Hours went by in the carriage when pus was finally unmasked. Lord Farquad stood in front of him. Pus had heard stories of farquad and how he died so how could he be here. Pus didn't know all he did know was that he needed to finnish farquad once and for all. Pus thought though all off lord farquads monologue and then remembered. Chalupa. With the chalupa he ate hours ago still in his belly he let rip a fart so loud it could be heard in the great Taco Bell beyond the sky. This riped out his shackles and laughed him straight to farquad. The guards were none the wiser when he snuck behind farquad and pulled his pants down causing farquad to die of embarrassment and crush pus. This act sent pus to the after life wear he met shrek.

Ingredients to shrek brownies
You likely already have the ingredients you'll need for these easy brownies on hand:
· Sugar: These easy brownies start with two cups of white sugar. · Flour: All-purpose flour creates structure in the batter. · Butter: Two sticks of melted butter give the brownies moisture and richness. · Eggs: Eggs lend even more moisture. Plus, they help bind the batter together. · Cocoa powder: Of course, you'll need cocoa powder for chocolate brownies! · Vanilla: Vanilla extract enhances the overall flavor of the brownies. · Baking powder: Baking powder acts as a leavener, which means it helps the brownies rise. · Salt: A pinch of salt enhances the flavors of the other ingredients. · Walnuts: Nuts are optional, of course, but they add a welcome crunch.

Imagine Shrek traveling back in time and encountering a younger version of his great grandfather, Baby Gronk, in the present day. Baby Gronk might be a mischievous but endearing character, possibly with some ogre-like tendencies but in a smaller form. Shrek, with his big heart and sometimes gruff exterior, might find a kindred spirit in Baby Gronk. They could bond over shared family traits, like a love for swampy homes or a penchant for unexpected adventures. It could be a heartwarming story of family connection across generations, showing that even though times and appearances change, some things, like family bonds, remain constant. The angles followed. They were great celestial being clad in amour and swords but today they lay in modest and with instruments they played a inimagineable song that engrossed all listeners into a trance. Following next was Sir Eddie Murphy now raised from the dead with Pus and the original man Butter Pants. They wore astral clothes as they walked down to earth by seemingly walking on the air. Soon the four Shrek, Pus, Eddie and Butter Pants were on the ground and stood at a market stall. Shrek stood on a box and began to project his voice. "From now untill I die in this mortal form I am all God and all man. I will now see the true life of my most beloved your eyes". All stood in disbelief for thier saviour had come and with that speach shrek became far less intimating his astral light faded. However he still sat in his green ogre form. Shrek ascended down to the UK to begin but shrek new he must go on a voyage across the lands to spread the word of his arrival but he had to get ready. In the oncoming days shrek conversed with the people of the town and finding lay of the land. He mapped out hid journey and the stops he would have to make for food, water or rest and how he play to make it in the elements. However one day he was invited to talk with head of the village. "Shrek" he said in a light tone "it has come to my attention that you plan on leaving the town soon" "Yes that is correct my son" said shrek "There is something that I want you to have" said the head. "A shortsword, it was forged many years ago b- "My son my voyage is of peace and love for one another not a conquest it will not be needed in any extreme case but thank you my lord however I am greatful for your offer". Days more passed when shrek set out quickly and quietly under the setting sun so not to be seen and made a great fuss however he left a note in the home he was staying in giving them the information they needed but by then he would be far gone.
The journey to Beeston
Shrek walked happily and care free for some time untill he came to the beginning of a forest. The trees were tall and imposing and it was as if the branches were pointing at him to leave like a warning. At this time the sun was beginning to set and the night was dark. Going around would surely add time to his journey and eat into his food and water supply and so would waiting outside for daytime. Shrek had thought about this before setting out about a week prior and had deicided to enter the forest however now as it towerd over him he felt true fear. Shrek thought for a while as the sun fully set and the moon took its place and finally stepped his foot into the forest. As he walked foreboding stalked him and shrek could get no peace; he would look around for danger but the darkness And the fog clouded his vision. He could bearly see the hands infront of him. But after some miles his body caved and he set camp for the night. His legs ached and his body shaked the warmth of his sleeping bag couldn't satisfy the sharp coolness he felt. Shrek fell asleep that night cold and wet wishing he was home but he knew he needed to do this for humanity. Fragments of light broke though the shaded trees although the forest was cold as most light couldn't get though. The fog was still about him but was lessened from the night before. The air was sharp and shreks fear palpable. He still felt if the tree or something else that lurked in the shadows was watching him and judging his and getting ready to make thier move. As sheek got further into the forest the path became unclear and the sound of crows circling him above the clouds louder. Shrek sense of direction was now lost as they day began to come to a close. He walked around aimlessly fearful of what was lurking. One night after a full day of walking tring to find his way out he heard something. A noise, it was like a man's footstep yet quieter and seemingly shorter. Shrek came out of his sleeping bag and looked around "my child I mean no danger to you or this forest come out I wish to speak with you" shrek said with a quaking voice. The forest lay silent. Shrek looked around again when a quick pounce came from a bush and from it was a small brown haired creature wearing old fashion clothes. He lunged at shrek and held a knife to his neck he laughed spratically. "I have found you" he whispered into shreks ear. Shrek pushed him aside and shouted "why my son must you try to pain me" "I'll make your bones into bread, I'll spead your eyes over toast, I'll make your skin into clothes. You will be the crown of my collection" he shouted laughing still uncontrollablely. "My son you must stop for this will not get you anywhere" shrek said clearly scared. "Why did you wait so long to kill me" "I like to see my victims scream, beg me for mercy promising anything to me just to see one more day" he said. "Now time for my murder wig and out from his pocket he produced a large spiked red wig before he once again lunged at shrek and this time he managed to slice his hand. Shrek screamed in pain as the sharp agony pulsed though his body. But then from his bag shrek pulled out a guitar and threw it rumplestiltskin followed it and seemingly disappeared. Finally shrek got some much needed rest although the thought of been murdered in his sleep stressed him alot. For the next couple of days in the forest shrek walked with little fear although as he got closer to his destination the land grew weirder. The trees grouped closer together and the land uneven shrek missed donkey and pus and he thought of them lots. However, the days now were getting lighter as he was almost out of the forest and into the untamed land of Beeston. That morning after waking up and after his food was becoming scarce shrek exited the forest. The land of Beeston had many abandoned buildings like jungles, road men selling drugs and stabbing people but among the chaos lay an oasis. Kyle Upton and Harry Uptons House. It sat as if a castle the only protection for shrek.
As soon as shrek stepped over the border of Beeston he was met by a road man "Yo whats your name man" said the road man "Shr-" shrek began to say "Yo man shut the fuck up nobody asked bro" the road man interrupted "you fucked me up man. I can't think get out my head man get out my head" the road man ran away holding his head screaming get out my head man. Shrek carried on his journey to the oasis for some time untill the day turned to night so shrek rested in a pub. He walked in and the stench of a sweaty 40yr gaza with a Leeds United shirt on hit him and from the cracks of his armpit and his ass cheeks float green lines of stink who sat drinking a beer. There was also a group of people sat at the far side of the bar playing a gambling game. However, among the various other people one stood out to him although he wasn't quite sure why. The man sat alone not talking away from everyone else. He sat with a tin of beans that he was slowly eating. Shrek thought he could see the man staring at him as if examining him. However, shrek could not get a good idea of the man's face as he wore a hat and he mostly had his head down eating his beans. For a while shrek forgot his worrys in the bar talking with locals sharing story's. He found out the little monster he saw in the forest had been troubling the town for a while and that they hoped that he was now gone for good. But after many hours of conversation shrek decided to get a room and set off in the morning. Shrek awoke with a blur but as his eyes adjusted to his surroundings he above him a dark shadow yet it had a form like a man. The shadow drew its sword before shrek could react and it stabbed him in the heart before shrek awoke in a cold sweat. It was a dream. He sat up in his bed as his eyes adjusted to the darkness but after one or two minutes shrek felt as if a dark figure passed the window of the room. Shreks room was at the top part of the bar it was not a terrible room small but cosy. He looked around desperately and quickly looking for an answer when another shadow passed the window this time shrek got a better look at it. It was large and dark it wore a tattered cloak and had a sword sheaved under it. The same one from the dream. An then suddenly a loud knock came from the door. Shrek cowered in his bed frozen when the door swung open and in came the a man. The man shut the door and blocked it he was panting as if he was running or if he was in grave danger. Now shrek could get a better idea of who the man was he now realised that it was the man from before who was watching him carefully. "What do you want from me shrek cried "I'm here to help you shrek word of your journey has spead and many people are not welcoming of you". "I'm not quite sure who those shadows are but I know they want you dead and they will stop at nothing untill thier task is complete". "What are we to do" said shrek now sat on his bed on high alert. "We must go to Kyle and Harry they may know more on these creatures of the night and in their home we are safe" Whispered the man when another knock came to the door before the started to barge the door. "Come, the door is not verry strong and my defence won't last long" the man opened the window and threw a rope down tieing one end to the bed. They both climbed down the rope and then onto the man's horse. "Thank you" said shrek pausing to say his name "my name is Joe Webster" pleasure to serve you shrek. As they began to ride to the house of Kyle and Harry from the distance they could see the shadows watching them though the window of thier room.

The expansion of the shrek religion As Written by kristianus kokaes
As the shrek religion began in the UK it quickly spread to Beeston and Bramley though the use of devout peasants moving looking for better paying jobs after the black death (1348-50). However in the 1500s came the discovery of the new world and with that opened new trade routes wear people often spread their faith to Shrek. This act spread the religion to Spain. Many years after this once the shrek religion had been woven within the culture of Spain and most of the country belived in him and built monuments in his name. Some would set out on pilgrimages from Spain to Saudi Arabia spreading thier religion further. However one country failed to see shrek as thier god. Australia. For shrek is just and omnibevelence he came to peace with this fact untill they got his Wendy's order wrong.

[Fetishes] The one about the cop
Natalie was ready. She had a mischievous smile on her face, the flag in her hands, and that pleasant adrenaline rush that wouldn't go away until everything was over. Between the two colorful cars, with engines roaring loudly in threat and display, she couldn't tell which one attracted more attention. People around her shouted, threw money at each other, fired shots into the sky, and looked at her with desire. Of course, her leopard print bra made her tits as eye-catching as possible, and the black high-waisted skirt barely covered the curve of her buttocks. To top it all off, she was the one indicating when the race began, so the power associated with that was dazzling. She loved when people looked at her like that. As if there was anything she could do, and still carry on being called hot and leaving men hard wherever she went by. Even the competitors had their eyes on her for reasons beyond the wait for the flag to drop. One of them bit their lip and shook his head, trying to focus on his hands and not his lap. The other had long given up, and would only roar and step on it while looking at her with want. Natalie licked her lips, satisfied. "Look", she whispered to herself, "look as much as you can. You can't touch it anyway…" Part of the charm was in that, being unattainable. Which was very good when some of the more grotesque racers came at her wanting her as the night's trophy. Soon men would emerge from all sides to stop them, and she would come out unscathed. However… that's also why it had been so long since she had a good fuck. Her life was all about the underground races, so she had neither time nor disposition to get to know anyone far from there. And in that scenario, no one could take her to bed. Because of that, she tried to be content with the excitement that would always run through her body whenever she was about to start a race. She would cling to that adrenaline rush and enjoy every passing moment as if it was a slow and painful orgasm that could never hit its apex. And then, her own fingers had to take care of the rest, in the place's filthy bathroom, while everybody was hugging and punching, celebrating or sorrowing the night's results. Here we go again… Natalie bounced her hip side to side, and the crowd fell into silence. It was starting. She felt her panties start to weigh, her mouth start to dry, her breasts to heat up. She smiled at the attentive audience and raised her slender arm with the black and white flag. The night's racers took a deep breath, gripping the steering wheel tightly. She scanned each tense face within her reach, finding one she didn't recognize. He had blue eyes, a square jaw, unruly hair, and a body that set the imagination free. She smiled at him, receiving one in return, and just like that, she already knew who she would think about on her next visit to the bathroom. The discomfort between her thighs grew progressively. She rubbed them together and tested her knees, knowing she would have to squat before the enraged cars passed her by. The flag dropped at the same instant a siren was heard. Within seconds, the place was surrounded by patrol cars. Chaos ensued, people bumping into each other trying to get out of there, trying to leave without being detained. Nobody helped each other because everyone knew that the only way they could have been found was if someone from the inside had given away the scheme to the authorities. And anyone could be the culprit at this point. Natalie took advantage of her crouched position to survey the area and find some opening through which she could escape. Her heart was pounding loudly in her ears, and the usual adrenaline had been intensified, leaving her almost breathless. She couldn't see a way out unscathed; the place was truly surrounded, and people were being held tightly by police officers and thrown into the back seats of countless patrol cars. She decided to run, hoping her stature and agility would help her evade the cops. She stood up and took off, only to be stopped by a hand on her forearm. She turned around with panic in her eyes, coming face to face with the same blue eyes from the moment of the race. Satisfied, she was sure he was there to help, that he had been concerned about her, and she smiled in relief. "Come with me, I'll get you out of here," he said, his deep voice sending shivers down her spine. She nodded in agreement and let him guide her to a black Mercedes. They weren't intercepted, and she thanked God. The place was almost empty now; everyone had been caught or was about to be, and the patrol cars were already heading to the nearest police station. Natalie got into the sports car with the stranger, looking around scared and breathless, suspicious of her luck in not being captured yet. He started the engine and sped off, and she looked at him as if he were crazy. "Are you insane? We won't be able to get out of here, the passage is closed. Shut this the fuck down and let's stay hidden in here until they leave" se said. The windows were dark enough that if nobody had seen them enter there, they wouldn't suspect that there were people inside the car. The stranger smiled at her and reached out a hand to caress her face, to which she recoiled with a furrowed brow. "Don't worry, darling. I'll take care of you." Putting the Mercedes in motion, Blue Eyes skirted the area and exited through the main gate without alarming the two police officers who were watching that area. Natalie parted her lips, worried, and dug her nails into the leather upholstery. "Who are you?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper. He smiled again, driving quickly through the deserted streets in the early hours of the morning. "You have the right to remain silent," he replied, and she swallowed hard. "Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law..."
