I should be able to keep it short. My BiL was helping his dad (not my FiL, complicated family) with some odd jobs last weekend which isnt unusual (usually his contribution is just driving his truck) because he doesnt work and up until now we all thought they were legit. One of the odd jobs today was driving him to a home of one of his dads friends who had recently moved and asked him to grab some stuff they couldn't fit out of the yard (they still own the property) and to hold onto it for them since his house is much closer to their new house than their old property is.
Well that was a lie. He took some large car parts and later my wife saw a Facebook post of the dad on camera asking if anyone knew this man because they were stealing. To be clear my brother in law never stepped out of the truck and just waited at the end of the driveway. We don't know if the poster has reported it to the police. Obviously BiL is no longer helping his dad with anything but what's next? Its his truck that was used but FiL is the one on camera stealing. Afaik his truck is not pictured on camera. Should we go ahead and message the Facebook poster to let them know who it is and that BiL was fed a story? Do we go ahead and let the cops know even without knowing if it's been reported? Or do we consult with a lawyer? Our fear is that my BiL will get charged for something if the cops think that being ignorantly part of a crime isn't a good enough excuse and that he'd just self incriminate himself. He's never even had detention before and none of the rest of us have ever had to deal with police either.

Hi there, I'd really appreciate your help here. I tried installing the hack for PalmOS4 on my Palm m125 to take screenshots https://palmdb.net/app/screenshot
It installs great. I can activate it in HackMaster and I can trigger the Screenshot action with the Up-down Graffiti gesture. Then I get a little message stating that the screenshot is being taken and that I should register the application.
I went to HackMaster and opened the info pane for the ScreenShot hack. I tapped on "Register now" and entered the registration code 3337468056 from the apps page on PalmDB.net.
Unfortunately, I get the message that the registration code is not valid for my ID.
Has anyone managed to successfully register the ScreenShot hack using the code 3337468056? If not then where can I get a valid code?

I (37f) have been divorced from my ex husband(41m) since 2020. My mother(57f) and he were very close following my father’s passing but I never thought anything of it. In 2019 I went to a work party and ended up making the worst decision of my life and sleeping my with my coworker. He immediately shamed me after the affair and told everyone we worked with and then decided to message my now ex husband all the details on Facebook. I am not looking for sympathy. So my mother and and ex husband have stayed close over the last few years and I wasn’t happy about it but I just kind of accepted it. My mother was over back in February and I noticed text messages coming in and saw my ex husbands name, this really bothered me. So I went to Myrtle beach for a week with my sister and decided to stop at my mothers vacation home in OBX because she had mentioned about being there this week for a getaway before the reality company took the reins for the summer. I didn’t tell her I was coming and arrived at 11am yesterday morning. The purpose of this post is to educate newcomers how to infiltrate AWDTSG groups from within since Facebook only allows you to report posts that you have access to. The group admins know this and they are being very careful who they let into these groups to take advantage.
When you attempt to join a private group Facebook reveals to their admins more about your profile than you may realize, even if you set privacy settings to "only you". Giving them hints that you are in infiltrator.
Private Information given to group admins:
number of groups and names number of Friends and names
Mutual friends Friends that are in the group Real date Facebook account was created Location Work
Facebook information that is always public: User Name User ID Profile photo Cover photo Gender
Since the real date your account was created is revealed to group admins, simply creating a new account won't be enough to infiltrate the group. You need an aged account.
Also having mutual friends that are in the group makes your account a lot more viable.
They set automated filters to decline accounts that don't meet specific criteria like being old enough or not having enough mutual friends in the group or not having a profile picture etc.
If you are declined by one of these automatic filters the admins won't have even read your message to the intro questions.
One way to have an aged account is to simply rename your main account to a girl name and change genders (thanks trans people). If you do this remember to also change the username which is separate from the profile name.

I moved into my current house at 8 years old and since then my neighbors cat had been sneaking into our backyard to eat our dogs food and sleep on our pool furniture. My dog would chase it away but it would always come back every week or so.
My dog died six years after moving in, and since we weren’t putting any food out, the cat wouldn’t come over. Until a round a year or so later when winter hit our town pretty bad with a lot of rain and storms, and the cat came back to sleep on our back porch out of the rain. After having a good look at it we noticed it was very skinny, and we pieced together that it wasn’t our neighbors cat, it was a stray.
My mom started leaving tuna out on the porch and eventually the cat was primarily staying in our backyard, and after a few months it finally let us bring it inside. We made a post on our local lost and found pets Facebook page but no one replied saying it was theirs, we took him to the vet and he had no microchip, so he’s been our family’s cat for the past two years.
Yesterday, he snuck into our neighbors house and she made a post on the same lost and found pets page, so my mom left a comment and sent her a message saying he’s ours. But I noticed that someone else had commented on the post saying “is it possible it’s this cat? He’s been missing for 8 years” With a photo of a younger and fatter version of my cat. My neighbors gave him back to us but I couldn’t stop thinking about the other woman’s comment.
This is where I started to go a little crazy. I checked the profile of the commenter she was a middle aged woman and it was a private account but she had four names in hearts in her bio. So I tried searching my cats original name with her last name and I found and pet account, with the first four friends being the four names in her bio.
After going through his pet account, I found out they got him as a kitten in 2013. That means he was their cat for 3 years, was a stray for 5 years, and then was our cat for 2 years.
Most people in this situation would immediately contact the original owners but unfortunately it’s not so black and white for us.
Most likely from years of isolation and brain damage from starvation, our cat has developed extreme anxiety and epilepsy. He has had few seizures in the two years we’ve had him but everytime he has one, his dementia(caused purely from old age) gets worse. He does not remember the aunt that lived with us a year ago at all, and because of his anxiety he runs and hides from her.
I couldn’t imagine if his old family asked to meet him just for him to not remember them, get scared and upset and run away from them, which is the most likely outcome. I tried calling him by his old name but he had no reaction, which just instills in me the fact he probably doesn’t even remember he lived with them at all.
So for the people reading this I want to ask, would you rather find your missing pet after 8 years, but they’re terrified of you and don’t remember you. Or never find out what happened to them.
I thought about reaching out and explaining why i don’t think it’s best they meet, but she would have to first approve a message request from a teenager she’s never even heard of and even then she might be persistent on wanting to meet him, and how am I supposed to explain to my parents that a random lady that used to own our cat wants to come over. I just wish I could leave a note in her mailbox or something explaining everything to her so she knows he’s ok.

My friend and I have always had an on again and off again friendship. We have known each other for over 15 years and have been “off again” because of either significant others not liking our friendship, or distance. This most recent “on again” has been going on for about a year or so, and we haven’t gone more than a day or two without talking to each other. I even went to visit him for our birthdays (they’re very close together). We have gotten very close in this time, and have even talked about the possibility of a future together. Since he is currently working in another country for work, we said we would visit that “future us” bridge and decide if we would cross it when he moved back home, and have remained really good friends in the meantime.
In the past, when we hadn’t heard from each other for a day, we both have reached out and acknowledged the odd behavior. His words in the most recent instance is “I recognize our relationship and also recognize when we aren’t showing up for our normal interactions and this…. Isn’t normal. So what’s going on?” So it’s not like it’s a one sided thing…
This is where the behavior I am questioning and finding very confusing comes into play. As I said, he lives out of the country for work, and he has recently taken a month long leave from work to see family. He’s just over halfway through his leave, and has about a week and a half, maybe 2 weeks left. As I said, in this last year we haven’t gone more than a day or two without talking to each other. Since he’s been on his vacation to see his family, he has ghosted me… kinda?
About a week before he left, he told me “you have been my priority for the past few months, but while I’m at home, I need to make my kids and family the priority… I’m telling you this because we won’t be able to talk as much.” I said “I hope it won’t be a month without talking because that might be difficult, but I understand. We video chatted the day before he left for almost 2 hours, he told me that he missed me. He was messaging me while he was on the plane and again in the airport, but the second he got picked up from the airport, it’s been radio silence from him. I haven’t gotten a text message or a phone call from him since. I knew I wasn’t going to be seeing him this trip home, since I just saw him, so it’s not like he ditched me or didnt show up for plans… The strange part, I suppose, is while I haven’t gotten any calls or texts, I’ve gotten some reactions to my messages, and he’s sent me some Facebook videos and TikTok’s. The first week, the only thing I got was a reaction to the message I sent him while he was leaving the airport. This past week, every day or two, he’s sent me a few Facebook videos or some TikTok’s. That, in and of itself, is not strange since he would do that prior to his trip, but the fact that he isn’t talking at all, but is still sending random videos… is. That’s why I don’t know if I can even call this ghosting. I don’t know if this friendship is just over and I’m just looking too far into this or holding onto something that just isn’t there anymore, or if he just needs his space for now and sending videos is his way of saying like… I’m still here. Hey, this is my first time looking for a role play partner on reddit. I usually RP in a forum based on a book series (what I still do) but I wanted to look for someone I can try out some other ideas with.
About the plots I'm looking foI prefer to play: I only play females and am searching for someone playing male roles. If you are a man in real life doesn't matter to me. Woman playing men are also very welcome. :) I'm generally open for most plots in a medieval fantasy setting that include a slow burn romance and drama, but especially recently I thought about a plot in the Harry Potter universe regarding Severus Snape (you) and an OC (me). I have about a million ideas about who the OC could be and how Sev and her could get in touch and about when the play starts (before the waafter it/before lily's death/etc.). I think we will be able to work on a great plot together. I want to add that I didn't read the books, just watched the films and I wouldn't see the fandoms too strict. Just as a loose environment. No limit to our fantasy! But as I said, other ideas can be discussed too, also about completely self invented worlds with OCs only or other fandoms that I know good enough to play within.
About my writing preferences: I am very flexible in my writing, the only thing that's a no go for me is the star-style coughs. So third person, first person, past, present whatever you like. But generally I prefer novel style writing. The length of posts should be more than a few sentences but it doesn't have to be a bible every time. It depends on the post you are answering to, sometimes there is more to react and sometimes not. I am German but my English is good enough to RP in it (already did) and if we choose the HP idea I would even prefer English as language to write in. The platform where we write is free for you to choose. I've already written RP in forums, in Facebook messenger, in WhatsApp, in Google docs or discord (well WhatsApp is not a platform where I would RP with strangers but I guess that's obviously).
About me and what I expect from an RP partner: I am 23 years old, a student, a bookworm and cat mom. I do RP for about 10 years now, maybe a little longer already so I've got a lot of experience. Though I love drama in RP, I hate it in RL, I'm a very harmonic and peace loving person.
I'm looking for someone who is 18 years or older. As I said, gender doesn't matter as long as you play the male role. I don't care if you don't have much experience in RP yet or if you are not the best most literate writer, as long as you have a good grammar and spelling. More important for me is that you have ideas and as much fun as I have doing RP. We can improve our writing together while having fun with interesting stories. And fun also means that there is no pressure to answer quickly. I usually answer at least once within a week, sometimes more but I am totally okay with waiting longer. I was messaging a person for quite a while, we was sending messages back and forth including pics.. yesterday was just a normal day but then later in the evening I get a message from his sister using his phone and telling me that she noticed my pic I sent. So I deleted it straight away as those pics was just between me and him. So I stopped messaging him yesterday until he messaged me today say it was a bit awkward because he had seen his sisters messages towards me.. I went on to say that boundries has been crossed and he went on a rant and rave saying he was out of the house when she messaged me. I asked him why would she be messaging me on his phone anyway.. I told him I was hacked off and he said I was over reacting. I told him to go and have the chat with his sister on why she was on his phone any way and he told me that she hasn't done anything wrong and that I'm purely over reacting.. I've since blocked him

I, (16M) have been feeling strong gay tendencies since i was young, but ive recently accepted it and is now living happily as a student, well until a bully from my school basically harrased me.
It was a pretty normal day at school, nothing crazy going on, until math class, i was sitting minding my own business, handing papers when suddenly, the boy i had a deep hatred for, insulted me for being gay. I was there with my best friend at the time and when i heard him, i immediately clapped back. I called him a "fatherless c*nt" and continued to insult him later on. I furiously shouted at him- "well atleast i dont look like spongebob with all that acne!" My best friend eventually joined in and called him multiple names. It obviously broke him, he just stood there, embarrassed, because no one was standing up for him.
When i went home i reflected about what happened, I didn't tell my parents about it because I didn't wanna accidentally out myself (they had suspicions of me being gay so I didn't wanna risk it). I went to check my phone a few hours later and saw my best friends message with a screenshot from the bullys facebook account with posts threatening to attack me. All of it were insane, vulgar, and creepy warnings telling me not to show up to school. The posts were public and a lot of people found out about the incident, with one of the posts saying "So were talking about families now huh?" I did show up to school but i was feeling very confident that i managed to stand up for myself like that. AITA for going "too far" ?
I forgot to add a few things...
The chaos didn't really stop there, he kept calling me names, for instance, every time I walked hed say "Walk, you f*****!" but i just decided to ignore him because it'll make me feel better. But i wasnt able to shut him up and eventually i released all of the anger bottled up inside me. I verbally abused him face to face, i called him very hurtful names, (i knew that i went a little WAY too far this time and i actually felt bad) When he told me i was a failure to society i went on a rant and said: "You really arent gonna stop, are you? Ive been nothing but patient with your stupid attitude, and IVE HAD ENOUGH." I went on and exposed his deepest darkest secrets for everybody to hear. Up until now, i feel guilty for what i did.
