Howdy Tots! This forum is here to brainstorm about how to use Tepper's Tots to bring kindness, curiosity and trust back to children's media and back to children's lives. This is a place to post ideas, feedback, ways to grow, and also begin my deep hope of creating some Tepper's Tots memes. i'll also be posting updates of our process here and many questions that i hope to have your feedback on. Keep your eye upon the doughnut and not upon the hole, Tepper Saffren

Hi,
what were your moments in which you were closest to achieving something incredible, but very narrowly failing?
1: In Book 3 of strange aeons, you are in the dreamlands, and face an apocalyptic threat you are supposed to run the hell away from. Alas, a character was under the delusion of being a Balor who was transmogrified into a human. He also had a vorpal scimitar. He saw his chance, if he would take that kill, and it would have been a surprising upset achievement even for a real Balor, his power would be restored! He stacked true strike, bladed dash, and a minismite from a campaign trait! The to hit roll was a 20! But he failed to confirm the critical by like... 2. A very very angry CR 26 great old one! utterly demolished the megalomaniac level 8 character in return. Had he been fully buffed with bulls strength (he wasnt) he would have done it.
2: In a hells rebels, I narrowly failed stealing Nox's, the bodyguard of the BBEGs, murder glaive when she first appeared to warcrime a peacefull protest via a cunning combination of grease and mage hand. Dastardly GM remembered that a glaive is too heavy for mage hand.
3: In Wrath of the righteous, a character nearly greased Korramzadehs super longsword out of his hands before the Balor lord could kill Terendelev, unfortunately, as a Mythic creature, Korramzadeh simply ignored his natural one. The character became kind of an "we mythics must respect the non mythics" character on account of this.
4: In Tyrants grasp, a character was captured by Tar Baphon, and the Lich said that we would let him live to show his strength, if the player gave Tar-Baphon one piece of good advice. The player was a WOTR veteran, and convinced Tar Baphon to have a contingency on him "in case Nocticula tries to assassinate me during a villainous monolouge". He succeeded with this, but well... he didnt inform the party, or an ally the rest of the party sold their souls to, and that contingency acutally got triggered.
