Hey all, the new spectrum outfitters binder has been released and as a trans guy who binds specifically with them after trying a good few different brands and not getting on with them either for quality issues or sensory issues, I thought I'd give my review. Especially because as a plus size guy with a big chest, it can be hard finding reviews from that demographic. I'm not sponsored or affiliated with spectrum, I just wanted to help anyone out looking into this binder.
So normally I'll wear a spectrum short binder from day to day. An XXL usually however sometimes an XL for a closer bind as I am slightly between sizes. I'm generally a big fan of the short binder however I will say the front panel can be quite rigid and takes a little breaking in so it's not been the best in summer heat, creating a lot of sweat and heat in the folds of my chest and armpit area. But other than that, I can't really fault the binder and whilst there's noticeable compression, I can often still breathe okay albeit restricted when being a bit more active for example fast walking.
Now for the new binder light. The material is definitely slightly different to the normal short binder. It's a lot less rigid and whilst the front is still a little more sturdy, I'd liken the material more similar to the underworks 997 but a bit smoother and less scratchy than the underworks which I find great because it's a lot more sensory friendly for me. The material also has a bit of stretch to it. I changed into it as soon as it arrived in the post, swapping from an XL short binder to the XL binder light. There was an instant noticeable difference and whilst the binder light was slightly harder to get on, only by a little, once it was on I could feel that it was definitely more breathable. The slight stretch in the material means the fabric sits closer to the body on more parts than the short binder in which you get a good bind but a very flat front. I think the binder light helps give a bit more of a natural chest look whilst not being too lumpy which I'm a fan of. There's still a flat bit between each side of the chest too so there's no noticeable dip. The softer feel of the fabric is much more comfortable than the short binder too.
It does bind slightly less than the short binder however still enough that my chest is pretty flat, it actually looks more natural on my body type with a bit of a bump as I have quite a large stomach. The main downside is that there's definitely more fat pushed out under my shoulders and whilst it's not really noticeable when sat down or with a t-shirt on, it was very clear when I first put the binder on and it took some adjustment of my chest to get it less visible which isn't so fun if you have dysphoria around touching your body.
Breathing wise, I definitely feel like I can take in deeper breaths without much difficulty which also ties into the fact that I can get a lot more movement in this binder whilst staying comfortable too. The little strips of silicone(?) at the bottom of the binder running all the way around are intended to help keep the binder from rolling up on your stomach and whilst that does work at first, as soon as I sat down or bent over a little in this binder, it began to roll a little. This may be an issue related to my body type since, as I said earlier, I carry a lot of weight in my stomach area and I do have a big chest so there's a raise and dip in that area of my body. But that is a downside that the sillicone strip is rendered quite useless for my body type. It doesn't bother me too much though as the slight rolling is unnoticeable unless I'm not wearing a t-shirt and I can't feel it unless I touch it with my hands either. The rolling is much less noticeable physically in this binder than in the short binder.
Overall I'm a fan of this binder. I want to test it out a bit longer in different situations, mainly I would like to see how it holds up with walking around and going out because in the short binder my chest will shift a lot throughout the day because of movement so I'm curious as to whether this binder will resolve that issue. So far, everything feels very secure and held in place which is a good sign. I will say when it comes to binding for the flattest chest possible (on bad dysphoria days or wearing a suit) I will stick to the XL short binder because it performs better for that aspect however for a less restrictive but still a cis passing chest bind and for comfort through a long day of binding and doing physical activities, I much prefer the binder light. Here's my final scores below.

The return of The UK Pleasure Boys strip show to Northern Ireland tonight faced a Free Presbyterian protest.
More than 700 people defied a picket by around two dozen members of Moneyslane Free Presbyterian Church at The Bannville Hotel in Banbridge for the return of the Magic Mike-style dance troupe.
The controversy surrounding the erotic dance group after viral videos of their performance at The Devenish in west Belfast in February didn’t seemed to deter people from all over Northern Ireland coming to see the strip show.
Many of those who turned up on Saturday night said they only became aware of the Pleasure Boys because of the viral videos from The Devenish which showed a number of women mimicking sexual acts with the nude erotic dancers on stage.
Police and council officials launched separate investigations. The PSNI later closed their case but a Belfast City Council inquiry is ongoing.
Lewis Latimer (36) from Ballyclare, was one of the first on the scene at The Bannville before doors officially opened.
He said: “I’ve been to Thailand, these shows are like nothing compared to everything over there, so calm down everyone!”
His friend, Niall Carson (34) even has a favourite Pleasure Boy - Jay - and he joked that he’s hoping to “find Mr Right” now that the performers are back in town.“
Either that or I’m hoping they’ll pick me from the crowd and ask me to join the group,” he said.
“I think people overreacted [to The Devenish show]. I’d say all their shows are like that, but over here it’s so backwards and it’s only because those videos got out.“
Tonight could be the same [as The Devenish] but people won’t know because there’s no recording allowed.
“I don't think it’s a big deal.”
When asked if they would feel embarrassed to be photographed or filmed at the show, Lewis stated: “No way - my granny’s not alive anymore, so I don’t care who knows I’m here!”
Natalie Ryans (24) said she had been to Magic Mike shows in England before so wanted to check out the Pleasure Boys’ performance.
"I want to see what all the attention on this was about. It will be a different type of night out.”Big Nate, one of the Pleasure Boys involved in the controversy the last time they were in Northern Ireland with their XXL tour, said that he had “a really good experience the last time, barring everything that was said about it”.
He added: “Overall, it was a positive experience, hence the reason we came back.“I hope everyone enjoys it, and that the roof lifts and there’s a scream and a half.”
Big Nate also noted that the clips of their Belfast appearance - which have been viewed and shared online hundreds of thousands of times - have changed many of the Pleasure Boys’ lives completely.“

They have even grabbed the attention of Ruairi McSorley - better known as Frostbit Boy - who has launched his own podcast, with three of the Pleasure Boys becoming his first guests.Ruairi himself found fame thanks to a viral video of him as a schoolboy on UTV news in 2015 during a cold snap when he said “you wouldn’t be long gettin’ frostbit”.
However, not everyone was pleased with the strippers’ Co Down comeback.
The Moneyslane Free Presbyterian Church protest came after a group of local Free Presbyterian ministers deemed Saturday night’s performance “a filthy display of perversion”.
In an open letter to The Bannville, Rev. Daniel Henderson, Rev. Gregory McCammon, Rev. David Smith and Rev. John Gray said they felt it was “necessary to expose such wickedness and challenge those who would publicise it”.
“The conduct of such ‘entertainers’ is sinful in the sight of Almighty God and whatever the prevailing opinion may be to the attendees of these iniquitous and immoral ‘performances’, there is ultimately only one opinion that matters - and that is the opinion of Almighty God whom we must all stand before and give account,” it read.
Saturday night’s show involved extra security personnel, no video recordings of any kind, and the dancers had agreed not to go fully nude.
Managing director of The Pleasure Boys, John Woodward, said that while the show is still a ‘full monty’ act in the rest of the UK, due to “legal barriers” in Northern Ireland, they have had to ‘respect’ local regulations.“But, we do get right down and close to the knuckle,” John added.
The Pleasure Boys will also be back again in Co Tyrone next month, with the Silverbirch Hotel in Omagh advertising a show for June 22.

2024.05.11 18:56 Cute_Nefariousness45 Please help: my 7 month old kitten's behaviour changed completely over the last few days—from angel to devil. I don't know what to do
First let me start with some history/backstory. I apologize for the length of this post, but it is very important to me that the situation here is understood so I can get the best feedback and advice possible.
I (20F) adopted Theo (7 month old apricot tabby) on April 4, 2024 with my boyfriend Eric (20M). When we got him, not even 2 hours after bringing him home he was sitting in my lap and wouldn't leave my side. He was the most cuddly, gentle, laidback cat I've ever met, and I'm a die-hard cat person. I could touch his paws, ears, tail, stomach (he would beg for tummy rubs), and he would sleep with us in the bed during the day and at night. He was of course playful, and very happy and jumpy all the time running around. He is also a very very chatty kitty, always meowing, trilling and talking to us. We unfortunately have to keep him in my room/upstairs hallway, but my room is the size of a large living room, I would say probably twice the size of a standard bedroom. And he loves it there! I bought him a ton of toys, a cat tree, scratching posts, scratching pads, tunnels, an enclosed XXL litterbox, a food station shelving unit, etc. and he is very happy, or at least he was. The reason he is not allowed to roam the house is because my family has 3 large german shepherds, and 2 of them are husky mixed and they are not fond of cats. That being said, this does not mean his quality of life is poor. I spend all of my money on him to get him everything he needs, I feed him Tiki Cat after dark & baby as well as Orijen kitten dry food, and use many supplements and probiotics for him to keep him healthy. I also bought food puzzles, slow feeders, lick mats, etc. to keep his enrichment up and allow him some extra stimulation.
Now; usually I primarily live with my boyfriend and his family, but we were watching my dogs while my family was away so the first 2-3 weeks of Theo's time with us, he was kept at my house in my room. Once my family returned, we packed up all his necessary things and went back to Eric's. Context of his household: he has 2 siblings, + mom&dad, and a 2y/o golden retriever as well as a 6y/o tuxedo kitty. Both animals are lovely, as well as the whole family. Due to the animals here, we were acclimating Theo in our room first before letting him freely roam the house (which was the plan at his home because the animals are very much different here than my house). We were here for 3-4 days and he was perfectly fine, still cuddling and playing and being the same old little kitty he was. Unfortunately we had some tricky circumstances and had to go back to my house for a week and a half, which was also fine for his behaviour. I should mention, he loves the car. No issues there at all, as soon as I pull out his carrier (soft sided one) he jumps right in on his own and waits to go. I did notice he wasn't cuddling as much, but he loves to sleep on his cat tree at my place so I found no issues to be deeply concerned over.
Flash forward to this week, on the 6th of May we made the trip back to Eric's with Theo; which again went smoothly. The first 2 days, I noticed he would not even come on the bed to cuddle at all, he would mainly lay in his cat tree, and he wouldn't be as affectionate which is very weird for him because he is a super lovey cat. We had introduced the two cats which went very well and Theo was so excited (6y/o not so much, but he was not aggressive with him). Self-caught shinies: these are on-hand mons; check the breeding/RNG section if you want something specific.
Gen 2 VC egg breeding: I haven't done this yet but I think this will be cool and I can do it with a long video as proof. Probably $15 per mon due to the time needed. Personalized playthroughs would be around $15 extra and it'll require that you take more than a couple of mons (we'll figure out a custom offer).
Violet legendaries

RNG and services
- I can RNG (almost) anything in gens 6 & 7, including Ultra Sun ultra beasts except Blacephalon (PCALC and CFW will be used).
- I can manually hatch starter and Eevee shinies in gen 2 VC (no RNG involved, full process recorded from receiving and hatching all eggs to transferring and sending the shiny one to Home).
- I can hunt marked/XXL/XXS shinies in SV or shinies and Alpha shinies in PLA. With every Pokémon, I will provide thorough video proof showing every step of the process up to transferring to Home (and receiving them in Home), to show that there is no possibility of cloning or editing anything (this way, the Bank mark serves as proof too). Feel free to ask more about proof.
Disclosure: 3DS has CFW, Crystal and Ultra Sun are cias, the rest (X and Omega Ruby) are originals. Switch is non-CFW so everything is original there.
