This is my second time buying a pc, but first time actually paying attention to what I am buying, there are a few routs I could go but I wanted to ask people who would know more than me.
My budget is around 3k, and I want to either make a build around the 4080 super(or AMD equivalent), or a prebuilt with one. I think i would probably prefer the ryzen 9 7900x cpu, but ill defer that to yalls judgment.
I live near microcenter so I was going to get one of their pc's, or build everything though them. I have built friends pc's before so I know how to put it together, but I have never picked the parts myself before so I'm afraid that I would be spending too much somewhere, and too little somewhere else and just waste money from bottlenecking myself.

The prebuilt pc's I was looking at were the, powerspec g907, and the powerspec g478, but if there is a better one please let me know, or if building it would be better.

We often meet with a group of friends for dinner parties and a bit of a laugh. We've started to realise that one of the bunch has developed a habit for pinching things from our house and from other friends. I can't quite understand her, she has a great job, is really lovely, has a lovely partner ( who I think is aware of the issue!), yet she is gaining a terrible reputation due to this awful habit. She's nicked all sorts from a treasured glass to really expensive slippers. I'm not sure how to address it as she can be super fragile; it's been really upsetting for my whole family after she (it had to be her!) stole a family heirloom. I really don't want to ditch her as a friend because her partner is such a great chap (bit hairy but otherwise ok). Any advice on how to move forward gratefully received!

every time I try to import a HEIC image into KDenLive, it gives an error: "Cannot open file qimage:" and then the file path. all other file imports work fine, even importing from the same folder. every post I've seen with this problem is for linux and recommends downloading certain libraries, but there's no info on how to solve this for windows. the only other post regarding this has a deleted reply: https://www.reddit.com/kdenlive/comments/zl66ul/help_with_heic_images_for_kdenlive/ I even paid Microsoft $1 for the HEVC/HEIC support plugin, did nothing except let me view those images in Photos.
Please let me know if I should provide more info about my setup.
