Four days had passed since Ahmad had successfully dismantled the entire Popa organization. Ahmad attended the funeral of his family, and one of his teachers approached Ahmad and informed him about someone in Japan who wished to take care of him. Ahmad felt uncertain at first, needing time to consider the offer.
Ahmad went back to his rented apartment, where he spent two days confined indoors. He isolated himself from the outside world, only watching television. However, as he glanced at a picture of his family, a heavy sigh escaped him. It was then that Ahmad made up his mind. He contacted the teacher who gave him the offer.
Preparations were quickly made, and hours later, Ahmad found himself at the airport, ready to embark on a journey to Japan, his new home. Upon his arrival in Japan, a beautiful woman called out to him. She ran towards him, slightly out of breath. "I finally caught up to you," she said.
Confused, Ahmad looked at her and asked, "I'm sorry, but who are you?" Though he didn't immediately recognize her, her face seemed familiar to Ahmad.
"Do you really not remember? I'm your tour guide when you were here in Japan for a month. Kouno Hitari" she explained. Suddenly, Ahmad's memory was jogged, and he recalled who she was.
"Oh, I remember now!" Ahmad exclaimed. Hitari, 24 years old and living in Japan, had been Ahmad's guide, introducing him to the country's culture and helping him learn Japanese, although he still struggled with the language.
"So why are you here? Also, your hair is a bit messy" Ahmad asked, smiling. Hitari fixed her hair and replied, "Sorry if it's sudden, my condolences about your family, and when I heard the news, I wanted to take care of you" Ahmad was taken aback. "Why would you do that?"
"It seemed like nobody in your country would take care of you when I asked around, so I decided with that. You don't have to force it if you don't want to" Hitari explained, placing her hands on her back and waiting for his answer. Ahmad hesitated, unsure about the suddenness of it all. However, looking at Hitari's face, he could tell she had gone to great lengths for this arrangement. Besides, Ahmad thought that he didn't want to live alone at his age.
"Okay then, I'll trust you to take care of me from now on," Ahmad agreed, bowing respectfully, which brought a smile to Hitari's face.
"Great! You can call me Big Sister if you'd like," she suggested.
"I prefer calling you Hitari; it sounds more natural to me," Ahmad replied.
"Sure, whatever makes you comfortable," Hitari replied, feeling a bit bashful.
"Before we go, I realized I haven't learned your name yet, even though we met in Japan," Hitari asked.
Ahmad hesitated to reveal his name, but since he would be residing in Japan from now on, he decided he should come up with a fitting name for himself.
"Call me Takeshi," Ahmad replied, embracing his new identity.
"Alright, Takeshi" Hitari picked up her purse and one of Takeshi's suitcases. "Let's go to our apartment!" Takeshi grabbed his other suitcase and loaded it into Hitari's car. They drove off towards her apartment. The streets of Japan were bustling with crowds and bright lights, which reminded Takeshi of his past memories when his family had gone to Malaysia to celebrate his birthday. Soon enough, they arrived at the apartment
"Alright, we're here at my place!" Hitari parked the car near the garage, and both of them stepped out and entered the apartment. Takeshi marveled at the size of the place. "Wow, this is your apartment? It's huge!"
"Yep! And we even prepared the extra bedroom for you before you got here," Hitari told Takeshi
"We?" Takeshi asked as they stepped in front of Hitari's apartment number
"Ah, I forgot to tell you, I don't live alone," Hitari told Takeshi
"I live with-" Hitari was interrupted by the sound of the door opening, Takeshi was greeted by 2 girls.
A girl with brown hair, dressed in a white shirt with a cartoon design, warmly welcomed Takeshi to their apartment. "Welcome! I'm Hinari. It's great to meet you!" Another girl, with silver hair and a green hoodie, joined in, saying, "We're so happy to have you here! I'm Imouto"
Takeshi was startled by their sudden introduction, he nervously asked Hitari "And they are?"
"My two younger sisters" Hitari replied
"I see.." Takeshi turned his attention towards Hinari and Imouto
"Takeshi, I'll be in your care from now on" Takeshi bowed respectfully
"I'm here because-" Takeshi's words were cut off by Hinari.
"We already knew about you," Hinari said, crossing her arms behind her back.
"Before you arrived, big sis told us that you would be living with us," Imouto said, her face beaming with a sweet and adorable smile.
"He will be the oldest among the two of you" Hitari informed Hinari and Imouto.
Hitari turned to Takeshi and smiled, saying, "Takeshi, please take good care of them, alright?"
"I will," Takeshi replied.
Imouto reached for Takeshi's luggage and cheerfully offered, "I'll help you bring your things to the bedroom we prepared for you."
Takeshi quickly intervened, taking hold of the luggage himself "Let me handle it. It might be a bit heavy for both of you to carry."
Hinari then reached out and gently took the luggage from Takeshi's grasp. She reassured him, saying, "Don't worry. We really want to help you out on your first day here."
Takeshi released his grip on the luggage handle. "If you insist," he conceded.
As Takeshi headed towards his room, Hinari excitedly exclaimed, "We've also prepared dinner while you were out, sis! And Takeshi, you're in for a treat. I've cooked my finest dish and It's the best in our household, hehe." Takeshi, who had been quite hungry since leaving the airport, now found himself eagerly anticipating the meal.
"Well, it must be delicious then. I'll unpack my things first" Takeshi replied.
"Let's not take too long or the food will get cold," Hinari reminded Takeshi.
Takeshi entered his room, amazed by its size and the meticulous decorations.
Hinari remarked to Takeshi "Nice room right?"
Takeshi looked around, his mouth agape at the spaciousness of the place. "It's really big"
Imouto chimed in, "Well, this room used to be a storage room next to my own. When we both found out you were coming, we didn't rest for a day, cleaning it until it was spotless."
Takeshi expressed his concern, "You both must be tired from all that cleaning."
Hinari shrugged it off. "Not at all. We were used to cleaning rooms like this in our old house."
Curiosity piqued, Takeshi asked, "Old House? Where's that?"
Imouto seemed hesitant to answer. 'Well, it's-' Before she could finish, Hitari's voice called out from below, summoning the three of them to dinner. Takeshi quickly packed his things and hurried down. All of them sat at the dining table, enjoying the dinner prepared by Hinari.
Takeshi's stomach grumbled loudly "Let's eat," he said eagerly.
The three of them expressed their gratitude for the meal, leaving Ahmad confused. Ahmad then repeated, "T-Thank you for the food."
Takeshi took a bite of the steamed chicken and exclaimed, "It's good!" The chicken had been cooked by Hinari.
"Thanks for the compliment, Takeshi," Hinari responded gratefully.
Curious about Hinari's cooking skills, Takeshi asked, "Where did you learn to cook, Hinari?" Hitari replied to Takeshi's question "I taught them how to cook"
"Yep, and I've gotten much better since last time" Hinari added.
Imouto then asked Takeshi to try the food she had cooked. She poked him gently and said, "U-umm, I also cooked for you. Have a taste." Imouto presented her dish and handed him a fork.
Takeshi took the plate and observed the food. "Looks good, Imouto. I'm sure it will be delicious," he said, glancing over at Hinari and Hitari, who discreetly signaled Takeshi. As Imouto looked their way, they quickly averted their gazes.
Ignoring the warnings, Takeshi thought to himself, "They keep giving me those signs, but I'm sure it won't taste as bad as it looks." He took a bite and instantly regretted it. "URFGHH!" The food Imouto had cooked was incredibly bitter and lacked any flavor. However, Takeshi forced himself to swallow it, not wanting to give her negative feedback.
Imouto smiled and eagerly asked, "How was it? Is it delicious?"
Takeshi swallowed the food and replied, "It tastes good, Imouto. You're really talented at cooking," giving her a thumbs up.
Hinari and Hitari exchanged knowing glances, realizing that Takeshi's compliment wasn't genuine.
"Hehe, next time I'll cook an even better dish for you," Imouto declared.
Takeshi thought to himself, "Even worse than this one? No, I'll teach her how to cook properly so she won't serve anything like that again." He then proposed, "How about this, Imouto? I'll teach you how to cook from now on. Is that okay?"
"Sure!" Imouto agreed happily.
After dinner, Imouto and Hinari led Takeshi to the living room for a conversation, getting to know each other better.
"Well, let's start again with the introductions. Imouto, you can go first," Takeshi suggested.
Imouto eagerly raised her hand and began, "Imouto. I'm 11 years old, and I love playing games, watching anime cartoons, catching bugs, and drawing animal characters."
Takeshi was intrigued by the mention of catching bugs. He wondered if it was a popular activity among kids in this area.
"I enjoy watching cartoons and playing games too" Takeshi replied.
Imouto then asked, "What's your favorite anime, and which game do you love to play the most?"
"My all-time favorite anime is Superball Kai. As for games... it's hard to pick just one. Two of my top favorites are Pocket Monsters and Yakuza."
Imouto's eyes widened with excitement. "That's awesome! My favorite anime is Pilot Moon, and my all-time favorite game is Doki Book Club!"
Takeshi was confused. "Doki Book Club? I've never heard of it."
Imouto, in her passionate manner, began explaining, "It's an amazing game about four girls in a book club. It starts as a normal dating simulator, but as you progress, there are surprises and twists..." Hinari interrupted her before she could reveal too much.
"Hold on, no spoilers! Let Takeshi experience the game himself. It won't be as fun if he already knows everything" Hinari advised.
Imouto apologized, "Oops, my bad. Sorry about that."
Takeshi reassured her, "It's alright, I'll definitely give it a try later on."
"Trust me, Takeshi, it's an amazing game!" Hinari's excitement piqued Takeshi's interest, now it was Hinari's turn to introduce herself.
"Okay, Hinari, it's your turn," Takeshi turned to Hinari.
"Um, well, I'm the older sister of Imouto, but we're not twins even though we're the same age," Hinari explained.
"What do you mean?" Takeshi asked.
"We were both born in the same year but in different months. My birthday is on November 16th!" Imouto shared.
"And I'm on March 5th, the same day as our mother's birthday, continuing... I love reading books and cleaning, on my free time, I enjoy gazing at the night sky. It's so beautiful with all the stars."
"Why do you love looking at the sky?" Takeshi inquired.
"Because it's pretty, especially on clear nights. During the day too with clouds, I can almost feel the wind as a part of me," Hinari replied calmly.
"Well, it's your turn to introduce yourself, Takeshi," Imouto suggested
Takeshi prepared himself to speak, but memories of the horrific scene involving his family and the actions he had taken haunted his mind, leaving him frozen.
"What's wrong? You look pale," Hinari noticed.
"I... I..." Takoshi's dark past entangled his thoughts, rendering him unable to speak. Instead, he ran off to his bedroom and lay on the bed. After a while, a gentle knock echoed through the door, and Hitari entered
"They told me you ran off suddenly, is something wrong?"
"Nothing, sorry about it" he replied.
"It's about your family, right?" Suddenly, Ahmad felt a soft body hugging him. Takeshi turned to see Hitari behind him. "Huh?"
Hitari hugged him tightly and said, "Don't worry, it's going to be alright. Let me tell you this too - we also lost our parents."
Takeshi was shocked and asked Hitari, "What happened?"
"Our parents used to own one of the richest companies in Japan, and we lived in a mansion not too long ago. But then our parents passed away due to health problems, and their company had too many outstanding debts. So, we had to move away from the mansion and live in the city. I bought this apartment with what's left, and we've been living here since then. I also got a job as a tour guide, and that's when I met you," Hitari explained, tears streaming down her face.
Takeshi gently patted her back trying to comfort her. "I'm sorry about your family," he said.
Hitari wiped her tears and said, "Don't be. From now on, let's take care of each other, okay?" She stood up from the bed and walked towards the door. "Well, come now. I've prepared a bath for you. Go take a clean shower."
"Alright," Takeshi agreed. Hitari left the room, still teary-eyed. Takeshi felt guilty for making her recount everything. He went to the bathroom to take a bath.
As he soaked in the tub, Takeshi thought to himself, "I will share my story with them someday. But they'll have to wait until then." He gazed out the window, looking at the night sky adorned with countless stars. "Hinari's right, it is beautiful."

One day, fourteen years ago, Mav snuck upon one of their ships as they were heading to liberate an Island in the Grand Line. During the battle, the immature brat attacked an escaping World Noble, only to fail and get captured. This led to him being thrown into slavery. During this time, he was force fed the Supu Supu no mi. A year later, the Sun Pirates led by Fisher Tiger, the Adventurer attacked Mary Geoise, to free as many slaves as he could. One of them being Maverick. Maverick, not learning his lesson, snuck upon the Sun Pirate's ship. Only to be found, tied up, and knocked overboard by Arlong. Stating "Only Fishmen are allowed!" Seeing the nine year old drowning, Jinbe jumped into the sea and rescued the lad, bringing him to their captain. Fisher Tiger, noticing his slave mark, covered it with their "Sun" mark. Maverick begged him to allow him to be a part of the crew. But Fisher Tiger responded kindly, the same words Arlong stated. This prompted the boy to insist that he was a fishman. Jinbe suggested they allow the boy to stay until they find a place for him to go. Hatchan and Fisher Tiger agreed. But Maverick wasn't fine with that. He continuously tried to imitate the fishmen's actions. Even going as far as to bathe himself in red paint to imitate Fisher Tiger's skin color. Years and Years passed. The crew had gotten adjusted to the boy and he became the crew's apprentice. He eventually met Koala. When they dropped her off at Foolshout Island, her hometown, Fisher Tiger was betrayed and the Marines attacked him. Due to this Aladine made Mav go find Koala so he couldn't witness the rest. The crew luckily stole a Marine ship and escaped, leaving Mav behind. Later, Maverick heard about Fisher Tiger's death, he vowed to get revenge on the marines. Three years later, Maverick, age 15, took Koala, age 14, and they took a boat. Not long after, they found themselves at Baltigo, where Mav got reacquainted with the Revolutionary Army. But now, years later, he begged Dragon to allow him to form his own branch of the Revolutionaries. In the form of a pirate crew, to which he accepted

Maverick can emit a broth-like liquid from his body similar to sweat, and whatever this liquid touches transforms it into a soupy formula of said element. He can create a giant soup pot by tracing an area with the broth and liquifying the traced environment into a soup. He can alter the temperature of the new soup from glacier-creating to boiling volcano with training their powers. Maverick's broth makes anything it touches edible and safe to eat, which he can utilize to nullify opponents by spraying or spitting the ground or the opponent's weapons with their broth and liquifying them. He can mix and alter their soup's flavor, texture, richness, and temperature. Mav is immune to their own soup's temperature and characteristics, allowing him to wade through even their own steel-melting soup and be completely fine. He can even boil the broth inside his own body, resulting in high heat steam expulsion from his mouth.
FIGHTING STYLE: Maverick, being a self-proclaimed Fish-Man, invented his own fighting style, based on Fish-Man Techniques, utilizing his devil fruit. He can grab and manipulate his broth as if he was utilizing Fishman Jujutsu to manipulate water. He is also a brawler type fighter, so he's excellent at close combat, that he incorporates with his Armament, Observation, and Conqueror's Haki. He mainly uses Conqueror's by imbuing it into his own body or Cutlass. As well as Armament.
- Black-Eyed Shot: Mav flings a droplet or small amount of their broth at a target and turns it into a soup on contact. This can be used to mess with opponents footing and liquify their weapons at a distance -Scuba Soup Kenpo: Mav creates a giant soup pot area and can dive into it like a giant pool. Due to the soup not being actual water, devil fruit users can swim in it with their abilities, although they enter a disadvantage due to Mav's soupy immunity. He can develop a martial arts style around their soup based off of Fish-man Karate where they can utilize their soup like water and control and grab it like fishman martial artists. He can also swim as fast as fishman in their own soup due to their control over it and alter their techniques depending on their environment and added ingredients. -Split-Repeater: He launches several palm-sized droplets at his opponents to pelt them with powerful and razor sharp liquid impacts. Based off of Fish-man Karate Water Shot -Tremor-meric Slash: Mavsplits their soup's surface in half with a powerful karate chop and cause a massive wave to sweep over both sides. This wave can cause opponents to go under his soups surface and even make physical cuts and impacts depending on its sharpness -Miso Missile [Drum]: He grabs and heaves a large amount of their soup forward and at the target. He throws it in a way that makes it spiral and control it to spin and reforms into a cyclonic spear. This soup technique can pierce through solid steel walls and buildings even from a distance [He can also reform it into a flatter surface and formation to create a shockwave-based impact with their strike both outside and inside their soup pot]. Based off of the Fish-man Karate Spear Wave [Ocean Drum] Ramen Eel Arrows: He coats their arms in broth and soup and flings them forward with strong force, create several streams of soup in serpentine forms. These noodle-like streams can be controlled by Mav to curve their trajectory and hit the targets dead on with enough force to puncture through several ship hulls. Based on Fish-man Karate Military Arrows Typhoon-jiru: Mav begins whisking his soup around in a whirlpool at high speeds using a large cooking utensil or his own fast-swimming body. He can create a powerful whirlpool inside the pot that can create enough suction to pull in everything around him, and then launch it all out like a cannon by heating up the bottom to evaporating temperature, creating steam that pressurizes the bottom but doesn't release due to the downward suction from the whirlpool until it stops.

Part 1 “Oh Komekko, you got rice on your lips.” The morning after Aqua defeated the spectre, Lucy. Megumin carefully supervised Komekko as she wolfed down her breakfast. Watching Komekko eat so intently, Megumin smiled wryly after picking off the grain of rice from Komekko’s face and ate it. “Onee-chan stole my food!” “K-Komekko! Don’t make drama out of me eating your single grain of rice! Eat slower and steadier if you don’t want that to happen again. Your breakfast won’t grow legs and run away anytime soon.” Hearing Megumin’s kind advice, Komekko grew serious and put her cutlery down on the table. “When onee-chan used to steal corn from the farms, she said they would run away if we didn’t eat them fast enough.” “Forget about that, cooked rice doesn’t run!” Having finished her breakfast, Aqua smiled at the conversation before her. “Being sisters seems pretty good. Ne, Kazuma, now I also want an imouto. There are gender-bending magic items in this world, you know; why not give it a try?” “While I don’t get what exactly you’re implying, I understand your desire for imoutos. Imoutos are great, especially the cutesy ones that’d call you ‘onii-chan’—those are the best.” Just as I basked in the bitter memories of Iris.
“Emergency! Emergency! All adventurers, arm yourselves and gather at the guild. I repeat; all adventurers, arm yourselves and gather at the guild!”
Along came a broadcast that I haven’t heard for the longest time. I instinctively gazed over at Darkness who’s sipping her brown tea. “Urgent broadcasts should be rare around this time, right? We’re not in season for cabbages, there hasn’t been any high-bounty targets recently either. What’s going on?” The broadcast repeated as Darkness sat dumbstruck. And then, “Additionally, all Crimson Demons currently in the city must participate. I repeat, all Crimson Demons currently in the city must participate!”
In response to this unusual broadcast, Darkness and I shared another glance.
Part 2 “—What’s going on here? Oi, what just happened here?” After we arrived at the Adventurer’s Guild, we saw a row of staff. When Darkness asked the question, one staff member nearby told her to just get in. Seems like they’re waiting for all the adventurers to gather before explaining. “If possible, I want to avoid doing anything dangerous; I just want to live in peace… But, since it was an emergency, I’m afraid there will for sure be another evil antagonist…” “And what did you mean when you said all Crimson Demons must participate? Komekko is also a Crimson Demon; although she can’t use magic yet, we’ve still brought her along for the time being…” Megumin scanned her surroundings, visibly alert. “You’ve finally come!” Suddenly, a guild staff member greeted Megumin respectfully. “…Eh? Why, all of the sudden? Unless the guild gave me VIP status after finally realizing the true usefulness and power of my explosion magic? A bit late in my opinion though…” Then, another staff member said to the man that was greeting Megumin, “No, not her. Actually, her attendance is optional. The more important subject is the other young lady.” “Hey, what do you mean ‘optional’? Is that a challenge?” The staff, however, didn’t quite grasp Megumin’s wrath and instead bowed to Komekko. “Welcome. We’ve prepared desserts, this way please!” Hearing the staff, Komekko followed her leisurely. Megumin went forth to stop her. “Hey, don’t lead my sister around all willy-nilly! What’s going on? Since when did the Adventurer’s Guild turn into a lolicon club? Depending on your answer, I might call police right here and now!” “Th-that’s not true! We have our reasons! Ah, Luna-san, what a great time for you to arrive!” The staff sobbingly sought help, to which the receptionist onee-san smiled warmly. “Specifically calling for Crimson demons all of the sudden only to bait my sister as soon as we arrive, what is this supposed to be?” Against Megumin’s interrogation, the onee-san puffed out her chest confidently. “The Adventurer’s Guild is always on the search for excellent candidates. Reasonably, we’ll serve Crimson Demons who are born with the potential to become great mages. That said, isn’t it only logical that we show hospitality to Komekko-san?” “Excuse me, all else aside, I’m also a Crimson Demon.” The staff members all turned their gazes away in response. “A-anyways, this way, Komekko-san! We’ve prepared an incredible amount of snacks!” “No! I just said that I’m also a Crimson Demon…” The onee-san ignored Megumin’s complaint and brought Komekko to the center of the guild hall. Waiting until most of the adventurers have showed up, the onee-san then said, “Welcome, everyone! Sorry about the emergency broadcast!” She then announced with a big smile in front of the dessert-stuffed Komekko— “So, I understand everyone’s been working hard yesterday. The success rate was very high, a rare occurrence since the Axel branch was established. Even the spectre Lucy had been subjugated by Aqua-san! As expected of Axel adventurers, you are all excellent!” Giving out compliments like there’s no tomorrow, just what is this onee-san scheming? It’s the instinct of incoming trouble that I often have. “Compared to yesterday, the work today really is only slightly more arduous and difficult. It should definitely be no problem for the adventurers here!” A stiff-faced man then interrupted the onee-san’s irresponsible boasting. “Hold on, Luna-san, don’t be so inconsiderate.” Seeing that the onee-san has no plans to stop, the other adventurers also spoke up. “Wait a second, what do you mean by ‘more difficult and arduous’ than yesterday’s quest!? Is this the reason behind the emergency rally!?” Other adventurers hurriedly followed suit. “Forget it, just cut us some slack!” “We gave our all yesterday, we’ve no strength left!” “And I was planning to relax at the bar today…” The onee-san continued to ignore the adventurers, still smiling gently. “There will be no problems, since the Axel adventurers here are the cream of the crop in the nation!” She even said something that baseless and dishonest. “Right, Komekko-san?” She even asked for support from Komekko, who’s currently only concerned with stuffing dessert down as fast as possible. Onee-san said it, they’re the type to never back off from any opponent, regardless of how powerful they are.” Having reaped yesterday’s benefits, she must be trying to take advantage of Komekko and plow through the remaining quests while she’s still here. At this point, it seems that I’m not the only one who has figured out the staff’s ulterior motive.

Only Aqua got her chance to shine yesterday; if I want to keep my dignity, I’d better display my strength.” Just as we went about taking some random quests. “No worries. As a commission for Satou-san and his friends, we’ve specifically prepared a job aimed at strong parties.” The onee-san said with a bright smile. Yet I only felt more ominous. We’ve already completed the widely rejected mission of Lucy’s ascension. We’re not about to take yet another troublesome quest. I linked arms with the now familiar onee-san and led her to a corner out of Komekko’s earshot. “Onee-san, onee-san, don’t you have a clear idea of our actual, raw power? Please have mercy on us. Flattering so much right now; what are you expecting from us? Part 3 Inside a small forest west of Axel grows a large tree. This tree is infamous among the adventurers and guild staff. Although the area around it is forbidden territory, tourists from other cities still visit it constantly. Why would people visit that particular place? Because under the massive tree lives a monster. Called the tranquility princess. Probably an upgraded version of the tranquility girl I destroyed a while back—
“—Look, Kazuma, why don’t we forfeit this quest? The enemy is a tranquility princess. Do you know how she’s managed to stay rooted there for so long without getting destroyed?” On our way to the forest that is home to the tranquility princess. Aqua had been making a fuss behind us just now. “Kazuma Kazuma, I actually don’t feel that motivated to destroy the tranquility princess…” Even Megumin worked against me. “You guys shouldn’t put all the blame on Kazuma. The tranquility princess is in fact a very benign existence to some people. For example, those who are tormented by terminal diseases can go to her and pass away peacefully—does that really count as evil? Although, also due to her existence, suicides have become rampant in that forest. Yes, that counts as suicide. As a servant of our Goddess, I frown upon suicide. If things went on like this, Aqua and her friends would definitely inhibit my destruction of the tranquility princess. And thus, it’s time for this magic item to shine. Using it, I could expose the lies of the tranquility princess and corroborate my account. “So, look closely, all; I’m telling you that I’m right.” Aqua showed a suspicious look upon hearing my confident declaration.
—We walked all the way through the dense underbrush and arrived at the giant tree. There weren’t many monsters at all. Rumors say that adventurers volunteered to clear the area to protect the tranquility princess from monsters. How long had we really spent walking through this forest? Just as I worried about having gone down the wrong path. “Ne, Kazuma, isn’t that it? I see light over there.” I looked at where Aqua was pointing and saw a bright clearing among the dark forest. Heading over, I could see a giant tree and a small steam. Trees were scarce around the stream which glimmered in the sunlight, piercing the surrounding darkness. Suddenly, someone talked to us.
“Hello adventurers; have you come to seek a peaceful end, are you merely lost?” The voice sounded calming, silky-soft yet clear as raindrops in water. When I turned to look for the origin of the voice, “Or perhaps you have come to see… me?” (TL note: soretomo wa, ta, shi? joke) An elegant woman whose bottom half is a tree bashfully smiled at us with familiarity.
Part 4 Crap, this was beyond my anticipation. “Ne, so you’re the tranquility princess?” The tranquility princess tilted her head at Aqua’s inquiry. “By ‘tranquility princess’, do you mean me? Since humans all have names, you’ve also given me a name; is that how it works?” Having said that, the tranquility princess went on to cheerfully repeat her own name. “Thank you. And please also offer my gratitude to the creators of my name for me, won’t you? After all, I couldn’t move in this form.” Watching the tranquility princess talk with us so kindly and joyfully, I knew this would be problematic. With but a few words, even Darkness started warming up to her, let alone Aqua and Megumin. The tranquility girl we had defeated at the Crimson Demon village had been the kind which acts weak to provoke your protective instincts. However, this one starts communicating right away to actively bond with the victim. “Ohh, your roots are intermingled with the earth, unlike the tranquility girl which had the form of a complete human.” Saying that, Aqua carelessly approached the princess to feel her roots, suddenly… “Don’t!” The so-far friendly tranquility princess yelled. Aqua jumped, and Darkness stepped up to protect Megumin and I. “Don’t touch my root. The roots are oblivious to my emotions and will harm you humans.” The tranquility princess looked down sadly. “…What is it? You can pour out any hard feelings at me, you know?” As Aqua probed worriedly, I started to deeply question what the tranquility princess had just revealed. I couldn’t believe she admitted to her deadliness. What’s going on? Is she really the upgraded version of the tranquility girl? Something about her still bugs me… After sharing my thoughts quietly with Darkness, she looked at me as if saying “what are you talking about after all that has happened”. “The tranquility girl you mentioned was devious, right? However, the tranquility princess is humane—or so they say, at least. Even the adventurers dispatched by Axel to destroy her all ended up unanimously agreeing. As for whether the tranquility princess should even be eliminated, that problem is hotly debated within the guild. They argue over whether she really is harmless, whether she should be considered an enemy at all and things like that.” “That’s why they commissioned me. Speaking of which, onee-san did mention that this was a reconnaissance mission. As a seasoned professional who had seen through the trickeries of the tranquility girl, I’m always cautious; therefore, they’ve sent me in hopes of investigating the true intentions of this monster.” “I’m not so sure that she really trusts you, but at least she acknowledges the fact you destroyed the tranquility girl without a second thought.” Truth be told, the existence of the tranquility girl didn’t really pose an issue. She’s mostly responsible for bidding farewell to those at the end of their lives. The retired adventurers who had lost all friends and foes alike, who had nobody to chat with. So, in the end, the one to accompany them for the peaceful death they craved was a monster. What an ironic turn of events. “To pass away all by yourself in a secluded spot, or to spend your final moments hand-in-hand with a beautiful woman who truly understands your sorrows? They really had quite the debate over the better option.” Rather die by oneself or become monster food in exchange for a gentle send-off from a beautiful woman. So that’s the deal; can’t say she’s evil for certain when you put it that way. …But nonetheless, that assumes the tranquility princess hasn’t a hidden, devious side. I stared intently at the tranquility princess. “I wanna ask, how did the recent visitors fare? How well did they take the ends of their lives?” The tranquility princess answered, “Everyone’s faces looked peaceful post-death.” Her tone was indifferent, yet she forced a smile as tears welled up in her eyes. “You seem different from the adventurers I’ve met up till now.” The tranquility princess’ smile turned dreamlike. “The very reason for my existence was to murder humans like you.” Instead of making excuses, she directly told us the point of her being. “You appear to have an iron will… While it worries me, and fills me with guilt, to ask you this…” Her body is trembling slightly. “For the sake of my beloved humans…could you destroy me?” She pleaded with a troubled and bitter smile. Crap, what was that? Could she really in fact be a good-hearted monster? Last time when Aqua went to purify a wizard named Keel, he had also wanted to be purified for the sake of his lover. And now the tranquility princess wishes to be destroyed because she regrets harming humans. But wait a second, think back to the tranquility girl. Not sure how, but she had no problem tricking us at first. It was a miracle that we managed to destroy her. This scene is basically identical to what had happened near the Crimson Demon village. How obnoxious. Using that item would surely earn me more lecturing from them. “Kazuma, about the uh, tranquility princess, I say…” Darkness was about to continue when she saw what I was holding. “Y-you’re…” Yes, it was the lie-detecting magic item. Seeing me steadily make my way towards the tranquility princess, Darkness looked as if she has slightly given up on me. As an adventurer, I merely want to carefully prod the true intentions of my target. What’s with the hate? “Oi, don’t look at me that way, even I can be sensitive.” Noticing our conversation, Aqua and Megumin also gazed at me. “Ne ne Kazuma, what are you holding? Could it be that dingalingy thing from before? I know what it is.” “K-Kazuma? Are you still skeptical? Even without things like that, we could…” The two gave up on me just as much as Darkness had. I took in their stares of “please don’t tell me he’d go there” as the tranquility princess innocently put on a confused face. “What is that?” I answered to the truly bewildered tranquility princess, “Ah, this is a lie-detecting magic item, it rings when it hears a lie.” The tranquility princess and I stared at each other amid the dead-silent forest. Aqua and company revealed looks of “this guy really has the audacity”. I anxiously continued to approach the tranquility princess. “Don’t fret, as long as it doesn’t ring, I’ll trust you 100%. This way, it’ll also be easier for the Adventurer’s Guild to decide their diplomacy with you. “ That’s right, everyone here are witnesses. Therefore, “Makes sense. As a monster, I’m untrustworthy.” As I’ve said, please don’t look so bitter. Let me use the magic item, I can’t let you do all the dirty work.” No, my instincts still telling me to not easily trust the tranquility princess. Don’t act so kind towards me. For the whole time, the tranquility princess’ eyes had been glued to the magic item. When she had asked at first about what the magic item did, I felt that she knew very well its mechanics and the extent of its abilities. Not sharing the same thoughts, Darkness took over the magic item. “Dear tranquility princess, I wish to ask you a question. What do you think of us humans?” “…Humans are incredibly important to me; I’d even go so far as to say they’re a necessity.” Aqua and Megumin stared at the magic item, which didn’t ring. Darkness breathed a large sigh of relief. “Sorry for suspecting you. Please forgive me. But this way, we can officially put our skepticism to rest… See, Kazuma? Be more positive. It’s a rare opportunity for us to end a mission peacefully.” I ignored Darkness who smiled generously as if she has seen the rainbow after the storm. “What happened to the adventurers and visitors who died here, after you’ve accompanied them for their final stretch? Did you absorb their bodies for nutrients?” My statement chilled the air around us. (Aqua) “Y-you…!” I ignored the appalled Aqua and instead continued to question the equally shocked tranquility princess. “As you’ve said, us humans are supposedly very important to you; however, is that because we provide nutrients for your own survival?” That question seems to have hurt the tranquility princess, who began to cry. Crap, my conscience has been successfully damaged. But judging by her reaction, she must know perfectly well the power of the lie detector and has deliberately crafted responses that wouldn’t trigger it. All is well, believe in yourself. According to my highly alert NEET-sense, I believe she has a dark side—even though it hasn’t been confirmed yet. “I will ask this again. What did you do with the bodies of the adventurers? Did you absorb them? Yes, or no?” The saddened tranquility princess answered in a lonely voice, “Yes, they did become my food. They’ve become a part of me… They will live on inside my body. I’ll never forget them… Are you satisfied now?” The tranquility princess shot me a glare. Under this mood, I’m somehow feeling more and more antagonized. “Kazuma, you’re a villain after all. What happened to your humanity!? Tell me where you left it so I can go fetch it for you! Same deal as when you had your memory erased; did you even forget how to be civilized!?” “Kazuma, not sure if I should criticize your way of speaking or form of questioning… She did stop Aqua from touching her roots earlier, so she definitely absorbed those people unintentionally.” Ah, so they won’t accept it, huh. I, however, have gotten a clear grasp of the situation from her answer. She is indeed acting in spite of her guilt. Thoroughly understanding the mechanics of the magic item, she searches for white lies that exaggerate her kindness. “…Look, I have a request for you all. Could I have some alone time with her?” I requested to talk one-on-one with the tranquility princess. “As a fiendish, heartless NEET, why would you want alone time with the innocent and pure tranquility princess!?” “Could you be planning to pull off what you had done to the tranquility girl at the Crimson Demon village? Killing her off while we’re gone to victoriously inform us that she’s dead?” “Am I that incredible? I will not chop her down while you’re away. See? The magic item agrees.” Accepting the magic item’s silent confirmation for now, Megumin and Aqua left. “Kazuma, I know that it is our duty as adventurers to eliminate monsters—a necessary one at that. But please, don’t push yourself too hard and dig your own grave!” Darkness was still mistaken in strange ways. On the upside, they finally left. I asked the tranquility princess as I watched their backs. “So, be honest now. I know your true form. No need to play dumb, just tell the truth.” In response, the tranquility princess said— “…Man, isn’t it exhausting to live with paranoia?” She’s a monster, a creature blatantly unrelated to humans; yet she started talking about my life.

The eater of this fruit is now able to emit and spray a soupy broth from their body and mix it with their environment to manipulate like a giant soup pot, making them a Soup User.

In-Depth:

The user can emit a broth-like liquid from their body similar to sweat, and whatever this liquid touches transforms it into a soupy formula of said element. The user can create a giant soup pot by tracing an area with their broth and liquifying the traced environment into a soup. The user can alter the temperature of their new soup from glacier-creating to boiling volcano with training their powers.
The user's broth makes anything it touches edible and safe to eat, which the user can utilize to nullify opponents by spraying or spitting the ground or their opponent's weapons with their broth and liquifying them. The user can mix and alter their soup's flavor, texture, richness, and temperature with a cooking utensil such as a ladle or whisk. The user is immune to their own soup's temperature and characteristics, allowing them to wade through even their own steel-melting soup and be completely fine.

Techniques

Black-Eyed Shot: User flings a droplet or small amount of their broth using their hand or a ladle at a target and turns it into a soup on contact. This can be used to mess with opponents footing and liquify their weapons at a distance
Scuba Soup Kenpo: The user creates a giant soup pot area and can dive into it like a giant pool. Due to the soup not being actual water, devil fruit users can swim in it with their abilities, although they enter a disadvantage due to the user's soupy immunity. The user can develop a martial arts style around their soup based off of Fish-man Karate where they can utilize their soup like water and control and grab it like fishman martial artists. They can also swim as fast as fishman in their own soup due to their control over it and alter their techniques depending on their environment and added ingredients.
Split-Repeater: User launches several palm-sized droplets at their opponents to pelt them with powerful and razor sharp liquid impacts. Based off of Fish-man Karate Water Shot
Tremor-meric Slash: User splits their soup's surface in half with a powerful karate chop and cause a massive wave to sweep over both sides. This wave can cause opponents to go under their soups surface and even make physical cuts and impacts depending on its sharpness
Miso Missile [Drum]: User grabs and heaves a large amount of their soup forward and at their target. They throw it in a way that makes it spiral and control it to spin and reforms into a cyclonic spear. This soup technique can pierce through solid steel walls and buildings even from a distance [They can also reform it into a flatter surface and formation to create a shockwave-based impact with their strike both outside and inside their soup pot]. Based off of the Fish-man Karate Spear Wave [Ocean Drum]

They can create a powerful whirlpool inside their pot that can create enough suction to pull in everything around them, and then launch it all out like a cannon by heating up the bottom to evaporating temperature, creating steam that pressurizes the bottom but doesn't release due to the downward suction from their whirlpool until it stops.

Weaknesses:

The user cannot turn living or organic things into soup except for plants. The user cannot mix their broth with seawater or seastone or worse it evaporates into steam. Standard devil fruit weakness apply.

The Malaysian Vtuber scene! In contrast to Indonesia where there are multiples agencies and many ID Vtubers with over 100K subscribers on YouTube, the Malaysian scene is a lot smaller, but it is developing.

Since I'm a pretty big fan, I thought I'd share a bit about the local scene, what makes them special and the interesting things that happened to them.
​
Before I get to the major players, I just wanna make it clear that I will not entertain the behind the scenes stuff out of respect to the Vtubers privacy. I encourage others not to divulge anything either. I also can't speak on the entire MYVT scene either since that's obviously difficult to track; my knowledge on the Twitch scene isnt great, for instance. Lastly, I am not affiliated with any of the Vtubers and agencies; I'm just a giant weeb.

Agencies: are actual companies or talent agencies that hire talents to be Vtubers. They have the resources and marketing clout to be more well known, but that can come at a cost. The following is a non-exhaustive list.

Project Kavvaii: The AirAsia Vtuber agency. I'm not kidding. This agency is a part of Capital A Berhad. Besides, Kurumi, they recently debuted 2 more Vtubers!

MyholoTV: By far Malaysia's most well known, oldest and most established Vtuber agency. In fact, they are considered one of the earliest English-centric Vtuber agencies as well. 2 out of 5 of their members are Malaysians, and the rest are not. They clearly have international aspirations, going back all the way to their 2nd generation, where 2/3 members were non Malaysians.

However, for reasons that still maintain mysterious to this day, within about 3 months since debuting, all 3 members of MyHoloTV graduated, meaning they left the company and all their related content shut down. It was a massive blow to their reputation as they were very well received and 3 months was far too soon. Interestingly, 1 of the members, Miori Celesta, did something that was unheard of at the time, and still a rare occurrence to this day: she bought the rights to her model and continued as Miori. She's one of the fastest rising Vtubers as well and is amazing.

But now, MyHoloTV debuted their Third Gen called MonstarZ (pronounced Mon-star-zee). They began with 3, but recruited Hori, a Thai Vtuber into their ranks. This is also a pretty unique occurrence as its very rare for an indie Vtuber to be hired into an agency. In fact, this was also the case with Miori, where she got recruited into Tsunderia, shortly after becoming indie. It must be noted that this does not seems to be the case of Miori jumping ship. Tsunderia basically could recognise that Miori was a beast of a content creator.
Holodream: yes another local agency with the word Holo in it, 🤷‍♀️.This is the only one that I've seen where the lingua franca is Bahasa, as opposed to speaking in English. As of now, they only have one active member, though it seems clear they have 2 more members coming up.

Projek Hikayat: This agency... has a strange beginning. With a name like Projek Hikayat, seems obvious that it would be a Malaysian that'll be the first Vtuber right? It was an Australian dropbear instead, named Duroppu. Shortly after, their 2nd member was a voodoo doll named Manika, from the Philippines. It must be said that even though Duroppu was a non Malaysian, she was pretty well-received as she was very charismatic and funny. Manika was also pretty entertaining. However, outside of maybe a stream or two, there was notably little to no interaction between the both of them.

A little while after Manika debuted, Duroppu parted ways with Projek Hikayat, notably without a graduation ceremony. Again, there was no concrete reason divulged as to what in the world happened. Manika then moved her streaming to Twitch, and recently, the agency announced Kurisu Kowa. She is Malaysian.

A few others agencies are popping up but nothing substantial yet. This is in contrast with Indonesia, where just off the top of my head, I can think of 5 different active agencies, and many more.

Vtuber groups are basically a bunch of Vtubers coming together to form a group. So its a lot less official than an agency. I'll only mention 2 because these 2 have made efforts to establish themselves.

Otafuse: a Sabahan Vtuber group consisting of Akkun, Aki, Faiya, and their manager Elthea. They actually originated as a Sabahan anime convention. Of course, then the pandemic hit live events hard for the past couple of years, which contributed to the rise of Vtubers. Sushiya is technically not an Otafuse member, but he might as well be, since he's also Sabahan and very closely affiliated with all of them. Currently, only Elthea (and Sushiya) has been streaming consistently. Elthea is really, really, REALLY, cute.
PRRU: a group of cute and girly Vtubers, consisting of Pyon, Rico, Rittan and Unagi. Pyon and Rico are notably Malaysians that are based in Singapore; I'm unsure of Rittan and Unagi. Pyon and Rico are more based on YT, and the latter on Twitch. They are all Apex gremlins like my god! They recently had an anniversary stream where they did a cover of Blessing and opened a PRRU merch website! Pyon and Rico (yes yes, I focus on them too much I know) speak both English and Chinese on stream, with Pyon favoring English a bit more and Rico is more half-half. Unagi keeps cute pet rats and sounds like a darling.

Now we go to the major players, the Malaysian Vtubers who have really made a name for themselves and/or made an impact on the Vtubing scene, in no particular order.

Liliana Vampaia: By far the most successful Malaysian Vtuber. A prankster imouto vampire girl who is terrible at gaming. Speaks mainly English, but will switch to Bahasa when collabing with Malaysian streamers or Indo Vtubers. She’s not for everyone because her voice is really high-pitched and is very cutesy, but daaaang is she engaging and charismatic. She's well-known for her ASMR roleplay streams that gets wild in more ways than one. She really started to blow up when she collabed with Zen Gunawan and Kanna, both very notable Indonesian Vtubers. Oh and she's collabed with Hololive Indonesia before, that too. Her ability to switch to the more sultry Rogue or the nerdy Operator-chan (SHE EXISTS) is amazing. Oh and she's not the first MY vtuber, not at all. The most well known? Definitely.
Bellayukihime: a talent from Tier One Entertainment (Malaysia) AMPLFY talent and primarily on Twitch. She is a Snow Fairy Princess! From what I can tell, she's one of the bigger Malaysian Twitch Vtubers.
Zephyrianna: Zephy doesn’t have the huge numbers that the others have here and doesnt stream as often, but she might have the best singing voice in the entire Malaysian vtubing scene. The girl can GROWL. Her cover of Not Photogenic is incredible. She even nailed a cover of Dengarkanlah by Sheila Majid! And somehow someway, Zephy has even done an original song called Lie of Providence by Cepheid. She doesn't stream too often, but when she does she is hilariously vulgar. And she even [made](made) her own L2D model, model and rig!
Oumiya Emma: Emma is the final dungeon boss from Cyberlive, a NA-based agency. And, somehow, someway, Emma became by far the biggest Vtuber in Cyberlive, currently very close to 60K subs on YT. It might not be obvious, but she is Malaysian as she speaks the Malaysian version of Bahasa. Like Emma, she too received the touch of Zen Gunawan (what is with that kera man and Malaysian women lol). She is incredibly charismatic, creative and lewd. So lewd, have you seen her Shorts!!? A downside to watching her live however, is that she tends to stream around 11PM Malaysian time.
Lunaris Urufi: A MyholoTV Gen 3 member. A cute air-headed werewolf girl that seems to be pretty innocent and sweet initially, she's revealed a fascination with... sunat. She has also somehow struck up a close friendship with Shino Kitsune, an indie Malaysian Vtuber. Oh and she made a song about her poop. She notably can stream in Mandarin and has done a collab entirely in Mandarin before, which leads me to...
Inori: A Malaysian Vtuber who mainly speaks Mandarin! Probably the most high profile Malaysian Chinese Vtuber. She tends to do a lot of free talk streams. I might as well elaborate here that the Malaysian Chinese Vtuber scene tends to collab a lot with the Taiwanese Vtubers. However, there is another Malaysian Chinese Vtuber who arguably has even higher subs, but...
Laine: ...is on bilibili! She even says she's a Malaysian on the website! But she does stream on YT on occasion. She would stick almost completely to Mandarin. And yes, I barely know anything about her.
Fuyuki: The first member of Holodream, and speaks mainly in Malay, but can switch to English when required. Admittedly I don't know too much about her, and she's pretty new to the scene, but has more than 8K sub already?
Aozora Kurumi: The flagship member of Project Kavvaii. An apprentice of Hermes, she's elegant and sweet, with an excellent singing voice, and is a fluent Korean speaker! Her cover of Butter with Miori is incredible. She's one of the few Vtubers to focus primarily on Mobile Legends. She is also notably very supportive of the local indie scene; she shows up on many smaller vtubers' livestreams, very much big sister energy.
Moon Jelly: the aquatic alien girl with a giant head and boiling kettle laugh. An incredible musician who regularly pumps out music, both cover and original! She used to be active on YT, but has found more success in Twitch, and her YT channel is now an archive for her music. Her Vtuber model is one of the most spectacular ones in MYVT too, having the ability to turn 45 degrees left or right.
Furai Sen: This one here, is a master illustrator. He’s probably most well known for drawing Moona’s art in her MVs. For High Tide in particular, he was also the lead animator. He has also been the mama to many notable Vtubers, such as Aika Meru, Shino, and I think he made the design for Oumiya Emma as well? He also streams on occasion as well, mixing Malay and English.
Momoiro Kohi: The Cyberpunk Vtuber that makes Vtubers. He's a dude, don't get it twisted. One of the best riggers in the business right now. He's rigged some fairly high profile Vtubers, such as Virion Kisei, Oumiya Emma, Inami Yoki, Moenaomii, Ke Mao aka Kusomanager, and many more. He also really likes racing games! He streams mainly doing rigs or racing games or Apex.
Moenaomii: The FIRST Malaysian to reach 100K on YT, and an indie one at that. A crossdressing sharkboy with a penchant for screaming and abusing chat. He's kinda like if Lili went mad, but is a boy. His StreamElements will remind you on the rules and watch over you like a hawk. He's also a very good illustrator as well. Recently, Moe went on a hiatus and even more recently announced his graduation, where the contents of his channel will be gone. Long live the crossdressing shark boy.

It also doesn’t have to be a fully animated/rigged model, even a PNG, or PNGtuber counts as one. Nore do they have to be streamers either! In just a matter of years, they've very much became an alternative way to stream or produce content, all with a certain degree of anonymity.
If you do know about Vtubers, chances are you know about Hololive, Nijisanji, Vshojo and other big agencies. Its gotten to the point where they've interviewed celebrities, collabed with big BIG Youtubers, and performed in stadiums!
Outside of agencies, many independent Vtubers have also seen great success. It’s not just a Japanese thing either! There are many North American Vtubers, even in SEA, such as Thailand and especially, ESPECIALLY the Indonesian Vtubers are gaining huge popularity.
