Paul's "Abused/ Wolf God Dynaste AU" Texting Stories on his Youtube Channel

2024.03.13 14:57 Critical_Session1908 Paul's "Abused/ Wolf God Dynaste AU" Texting Stories on his Youtube Channel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6odz4ZKBm0w&t=1s
At the end of Imbument Quirk Dynaste AU Episode 3 he writes, "So I'm going to go through with one I recently thought of. Abused/ Wolf God Dynaste. I'm not really comfortable explaining it very much because of personal reasons" (!?)
Abused/ Wolf God Dynaste Episode 1. "His mother was a cruel woman who beat him daily at first with her hands. But then after seeing it no longer had any effect she began using steel chains. When Dynaste turned twelve his mother began using his body to make money by letting other women have "fun" with him leading him to develop an enormous fear of females. Three years has passed and it has continued like this. Every day was the same. Get beaten. Get raped. Repeat."
In one of Zav Girl's videos, an anonymous former friend of Shanda and Eric's said the two (as well as Trish and Adam) were part of some Christian BDSM community and people would come over to their house in Oklahoma. The friend noticed the kids would innocently play with Shanda and Eric's BDSM toys/equipment and saw Shanda harshly punishing the kids, particularly the oldest Nolan. Hot sauce was also used back then (as punishment and/or in BDSM-play I can't remember exactly).
Also seeing that a punishment no longer had any effect, the mother upped the severity? Doesn't that sound like what happened to Timothy??
Abused/ Wolf God Dynaste Episode 2. Paul writes about the mother putting a shock collar on Dynaste. "Sees his mother pulling out the shock collars remote. Squeezes his eyes shut. Manages to get the collar off moments before Mrs Okamikami presses the button".
Shanda the dog trainer. The other parents, including violent/abusive Eric, are dog people too. I wouldn't be surprised if shock collars were/are used on their dogs.
Abused/ Wolf God Dynaste AU Episode 3. Paul writes "The doctors found him (Dynaste) and found that he had PTSD and severe anxiety"... "Not to mention he was extremely malnourished"..."Due to malnourishment, Dynaste is quite short but has gained a few inches after eating three good meals every day for a week".
The former family friend said at some point in Oklahoma when under Shanda's care, all the kids were very thin to the point DHS had to be contacted. They said apparently all the kids were celiacs and Shanda wasn't feeding them properly. I think food restriction may have also been used as a punishment back then? Paul was diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder among other things, and showed signs of Anti-Social Personality Disorder in Oklahoma.
These episodes were posted 1-2 months before Timothy came to live with Shanda and Paul in Michigan.
What do people think?

2024.01.20 16:22 Super-Snow-4241 Is there any financial help?

We have five young kids (under 10) and two were recently diagnosed with advanced celiac. To keep them safe because 1) they are too young to understand 2) they don’t have GI symptoms that would indicate whether they’ve been glistened and 3) we want them feeling comfortable in their own homes and not have to obsess over what’s safe, what’s “fair” if other kids are eating it, etc… we made the decision to make our whole home GF. So we completely swapped out our dishes, cutlery, cookware, etc for all new, and rid our entire fridge and pantry or gluten full foods.
However….. we are finding our grocery bill has literally doubled. From $250 per week to around $475 per week. I buy on Friday or Saturday and by mid-week the fridge is already looking lack luster for options.
I do allow my two non celiac kids to eat the hot lunch at school, and while the state mandates GF hot lunch options, I just don’t trust the school to handle properly or not cross contaminate their food. Plus I know what my kids will eat and when I pack for them I can also monitor at the end of the day what/how much they ate while away.
I do realize that GF “dupes” are going to be insanely expensive, so I try to do Whole Foods instead. But peaches are $2 a piece. Pears $1.25 a piece. So either way, it’s already becoming a struggle. As a family of 7, another $1000 per month in bills (on top of mounting medical bills for certain) is going to really affect us.
Is there any sort of financial help for families who don’t otherwise qualify for assistance? I’m in Michigan. I know that this is legally considered a disability, I’m not sure if there are any stipends or anything to help offset the cost.
Any other wisdom is greatly appreciated.

2024.01.05 23:02 Drwillpowers If your doctor tells you to do something to fix your problem, you do it, and it doesn't work. GO BACK TO THE DOCTOR. Especially if this is me.

Twice this week I saw patients who I hadn't seen in ages whom I last saw for random problems. I had previously made their diagnosis, prescribed a treatment, and said, this should work, let me know if it doesn't.
It didn't, but I didn't know, and then they never went back to me to address this.
I have no idea why this is so common. I am not an infallible god and medicine is an art. Sometimes stuff just doesn't work as planned. If I told you to do X about Y, you did X, and then Y is not better, you need to tell me.
I care for literally thousands of people and between portal/online/in person and tell 40 different people a day to do different stuff to fix their issue. If I don't hear anything, I assume no news is good news.
I cannot speak on behalf of other physicians, but if I told you to do something, it failed, and you come back and tell me it failed, I'm not just going to throw my hands up and say, "sorry! I dunno!".
I have never in my entire career stopped trying to figure someone's diagnosis out or stopped trying to get them in with the correct specialist/test/surgery that could fix their thing as long as they remained an active participant in their care.
The patient yesterday told me they did the thing, it didn't work out, so they just learned to live with it as they, "didn't want to bother me about it".
I WANT TO BE BOTHERED. This job is really the only thing that gives my life any meaning. Its like getting to play Professor Layton games all day in real life, except the topic is medicine, and the reward is a dopamine donut every time I sink a 3 pointer. I am literally thrilled to continue to work with someone on figuring out their rare diagnosis. I've gotten to the point of using whole genomic sequences to figure out the exact thing happening to someone more than a handful of times.
In short, please allow me to fail and try again. I am eager to do so. I can't speak for your own personal doctor, but generally speaking, doctors do not want their patients to remain sick. I can't sleep at night sometimes as I'm being driven insane by a lack of an explanation for someone's weird problem.
I once woke up in bed on a Sunday morning to a completed diagnosis. I had worked this lady up for weeks who had seen everyone under the sun for her belly pain. She had been labeled "anorexic" as she didn't want to eat, as eating = pain. I was absolutely certain this was MALS or SMA syndrome as I could hear the bruit on exam and figured that a bunch of GI docs just didn't bother to use their stethoscope properly. I ordered the angiogram to cinch the diagnosis, and... it came back negative. I was crushed to tell her that my theory about her diagnosis was off, but asked her to give me time to think more on it.
I woke up that weekend on Sunday morning, sat up in bed, and went "oh shit, we do CT angiograms with people lying on their back, and so gravity would disrupt the study as she gets the pain while seated/standing. The crux of her diaphragm only pinched off her celiac artery when the weight of her thoracic organs sat on it. One custom ultrasound study later and the diagnosis was done and she was off to surgery. I won outstanding case of the year for it in 2016 in Michigan. She is one of many times that I was just like doing a thing, and then BANG, the solution came out of nowhere like some subconscious subroutine process that was like, "File's done".
In short, I am a medicine obsessed lunatic who spends his day thinking about your weird thing. If attempt #1 isn't a success, please reach back out. I will keep trying until one of us dies.

2023.12.24 01:33 Medical_Record Service Dog Research Questions

I have anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and Celiac disease. And I am slowly building up research on training programs and suitable breeds until my husband and I can afford a service dog.
One of my triggers is men who yell/shout and I’ve had a recent incident at work (which is being handled through HR) where I was in a heated situation with two male co workers. I know a service dog can be trained to position themselves between me and another person but can I also train them to do an alert bark if a man is getting in my face? Would that be appropriate even?
I know that service dogs cannot be trained in protection and I am considering bigger breeds of dogs to feel safer but I am very confused on alert barking in general since I’ve read conflicting information about whether it’s allowed or not in the US.
I also haven’t found a ton of information about gluten detection as it seems to be a fairly new discipline. So far I’ve only found on training program in Michigan but I was wondering if there were any more resources out there that I’ve missed.
Edit: Thank you all for the replies! What I’ve taken away from them is that I would need the dog to be trained in a diversionary way. Like having them get in the middle of me and other people, or making a good excuse to leave the situation.
Also thank you all for the links and advice about the gluten detection.

2023.11.24 18:20 Pdiddlet Mystery sleep illness ruining my life

Age: 26
Sex: Male
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 235
Race: black and white
Duration of complaint: 8 months
Location: Michigan
Any existing relevant medical issues: anxiety, concussion and traumatic experience
Current medications: none
Hi I’m probably going to sound crazy explaining this but I need help. I have been having very bad sleep problems where I will wake up feeling weak as if I didn’t get a good nights sleep and getting extremely sleepy/drowsy during the day to the point where I cannot do anything and must lay down or nap which is causing me huge issues in my life because it’s not like I can just say “hey boss can I go take a nap” or “hey friends I need to take a nap quick”. As you can tell it’s been impossible for me to work due to this circumstance or go hangout with friends. This all started around the time that my mother had a stroke I was extremely sadden and took this very hard I was sleeping almost too much during this time and would find it hard to get out of bed sleeping almost 12-16 hours a day probably due to depression as my mother is one of the most important people in my life. I had been having issues for a month or so before this sleeping due to drinking alcohol and staying up way to long which would mess with my circadian rhythm and caused me some other sleep issues related to anxiety. I also suffered a concussion at this time which I’m sure didn’t help my situation and I developed an anxiety of falling asleep, which made it hard for me to fall asleep. Part of this was due to the fact that I had been experiencing insomnia which caused me to not be able to sleep when I would be extremely tired. Which would send me into a frenzy of anxiety because I wanted to sleep and couldn’t. This would cause me to be super tired and start a cycle of being super tired and not sleeping until 5-6am then sleeping until 4-6pm. I stopped drinking a month after my concussion due to the fact I was starting to have shitty sleep and feel crappy all around. The first week sober was awful I felt crappy I couldn’t control when I would get tired, would start getting extremely drowsy/sleepy randomly, had the worst anxiety of my life and was dealing with insomnia. I thought this may be a response to my anxiety because my anxiety had gotten so bad that I would just get sleepy whenever I’d get stressed or have anxiety, usually whenever I have to drive or go to work or go in public. Well this phenomenon continued and I would have a lot of days where I would wake up feeling really crappy and need to sleep an extra hour which would make me feel better as long as I didn’t have insomnia or bad sleep anxiety that day which was happening almost everyday. Other days even when I got enough sleep I’d get this overwhelming sleepiness that would cause me to shutdown and not be able to do anything but shut my eyes and rest. Eventually the job I was at had to let me go because of this, rightfully so because you unfortunately cannot just sleep randomly. Since losing my job I’ve moved in with family and got a girlfriend. I will say slowly and I mean very slowly my sleep has gotten better. Sleep anxiety is almost gone especially if I sleep with my girlfriend. I still get these overwhelmingly sleep attacks and have days where I wake up feeling sick/weak as if I had not slept enough even tho I slept a full 7-8 hours. Some weeks are good, some are bad. I still am dealing with this insane random sleepiness during the day which is affecting my life greatly. I thought it was anxiety and maybe it is somehow but it just happens randomly and it happens almost everyday sometimes I go a couple days or even a week without it happening and I call those my good days/weeks. I’m really wondering what this could possibly be and I know it sounds crazy. I genuinely am in a way better place now and feel a lot better mentally but it’s hard for me to go out with friends or go to a job when I have to worry about randomly getting drowsy/sleepy if I’m out. Side note I have been tested for sleep apnea and narcolepsy both came back that I didn’t have any problems. Blood test came back normal. No celiac or lyme. I really would like to think this is all in my head but at this point I feel like something’s going on and I have no idea what it is. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Again the sleep issues have gotten a lot better over time since quitting alcohol 6 months ago, the only real problem I’m still dealing with is random sleepiness and sleep attacks that basically make me sleep drunk.

2023.08.10 01:25 0Snufkin0 Heads up: Don't Eat the AMC movie theater Popcorn!

Hello fellow celiacs, I was diagnosed last year and I can always tell when I've been glutened because a couple hours after the meal I get a familiar stabbing discomfort and severe bloating in my abdomen. I live in Michigan so my go-to movie theater is AMC. From the looks of it the my are scattered across several USA states. Their popcorn is advertised to be gluten free, so I asked both online over text and in person at concessions about cross contamination. Both staff members assured me that popcorn was fully gluten free and handled separately from other food, so cross contamination wasn't a risk. So, I had a popcorn (and no other food during that time period). Sure enough, twoish hours later comes the bloating and stabbing pain and I immediately knew it was the popcorn since I hadn't eaten anything but that for a while. I decided to tell the person who texted me that there wasn't a risk to please reconsider how they advertised their popcorn since I had a reaction. They responded and said after consulting with other staff, the butter seasoning put in the popcorn as it is popped is actually made in a factory that also processes wheat... Welp. Thankfully this person was very apologetic, and checked on my health and everything. And I even received two premium tickets to any movie of my choice in their best theater room! So that's a win I guess? But all this to say, don't eat the AMC popcorn lol. I don't know if they will continue to say if it is free of cross contamination, but it is NOT SAFE even if they say it is. And always be cautious when eating at concession stands in general, because the person working there might not actually know how extensive cross contamination can be and say something is safe when it isn't.
EDIT: multiple people are saying I'm being misleading by not mentioning the butter topping, which is not gluten free. I DID NOT HAVE THE BUTTER TOPPING. The topping I mentioned in the OG post is just the powder that is added to the kernels before they are popped. And others are accusing me of confusion a usual stomach ache for a celiac one. I know what a celiac ache feels like and this was definitely that. I'm not a stranger to other types of stomach problems but celiac is always different.

2023.07.26 18:16 misty_girl Job recently hired me full-time w/benefits and pay raise. Went from making ~$15k/yr to ~$35k/yr. Where do I begin for budgeting and so on? Details in post.

I've (30F) been working various part-time and seasonal jobs over the years, especially after graduating college with a BFA in Graphic Design and minor in photography in Dec 2020. One job has been me working part-time as a graphic designer for a non-profit since 2017 (started as an intern). This job recently hired me full-time with benefits and a pay raise. I was making ~$15k/year and will now be making ~$35,000/yr. I have never made this much money before, so i'm not sure what to be doing with it all.
Here is my income, savings, debt, spending:
Income (graphic design job and freelancing) $17/hr x 40/hrs per week (paid bi-weekly) -- 7 paid holidays + week between Christmas and New Years -- $0-300/yr from freelancing
Checking Account $2,400
Savings Account $400
HSA ($25 gets added from each paycheck) $85
403B Plan Still need to set up. Rolling over $880 from other retirement plan. Not sure how much to take from each paycheck to add to this?
Debt $60k in federal student loans (on REPAYE for when payments resume). Not sure what my payments will be once I recertify with my new income.
$2,700 in private student loans (been paying as much as I can to pay it off quickly).
Subscriptions $635/yr for Adobe CC (need for job and freelancing).
Rent/Utilities $0 - still live with parents. Dad wants me to start paying rent. Mom doesn't care if I pay or not. I have been doing chores, running errands, helping do remodel projects, etc. in exchange.
Car (gas, maintenance, repairs) ~$2,700/yr (I have a 2012 Subaru Forester with 126k miles that has had a lot of issues)
Car Insurance $0 -- mom pays for it. I want to start paying when I can. I believe it's ~$600 twice a year.
Phone $0 -- mom pays since i'm on the family plan. I want to start paying this. Last time I asked it was ~$40/month for my phone.
Health/Dental/Eye (previously on Medicaid. New insurance coverage went into effect immediately) $0 -- Only have to pay co-pays and whatever insurance doesn't cover.
Food ~$200/month (I have Celiac Disease so gluten free is a must. Also lose weight quickly so I snack a lot) Not sure if I can reduce this...
Pets $37 on two bags of cat food. Buy as needed for two cats. Mom sometimes pays since one cat is hers.
Misc. (eating out, clothes, haircut, etc) $100-300/yr
Other details: I am single. Childfree for life. Located in a rural area of West Michigan, so a car is a must (no public transportation). Job is a hybrid model (go into office 40 mins away two days a week).
How much should I put in the 403B Plan per paycheck? How much to pay on my student loans? How much should I put in savings? Ways to reduce spending?

2023.05.26 03:25 Notebook47 Gluten Free Across the US

I'm at Michigan State for my daughter's Odyssey of the Mind competition. There are people from around the world here and we're all in the dorms and eating in the dining halls. It was confirmed before traveling that we'd have safe options and I assumed since it's such an enormous university that it's taken seriously.
Day one I speak with a manager to confirm what's available for GF. He shows me a card with the icons noting vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, and nut-free. No gluten free icon. I was told that besides the icons the top 8 allergens (including wheat) were listed below each menu item. For (infuriating) example: grilled steak- contains soy. It doesn't say wheat. I asked what the soy ingredient was and I was told it was soy sauce marinade! WTH?!
I've asked servers about ingredients and mentioned gluten free. They are all confused by this and keep trying to tell me that "yes, this is vegetarian." Today I asked if chili was gluten free because I don't see a label. The employee told me that it contained meat and was not vegetarian. I clarified that I cannot eat wheat ingredients. She tells me there's beans in the chili. I can't get anywhere with these employees. I cannot believe people in food service don't understand this. And I seriously can't understand that there only offerings are literally a very limited salad bar and a dedicated fridge full of Udi's bread and bagels.
At a major university that has a culinary program which (according to signage) encourages candidates to work in the dining halls, this is what they feel is normal. Are Midwesterners not susceptible to Celiac? I'm also stunned by the lack of fruits and veggies on offer. They're fully expecting me to eat bread and sad salad all week. Ugh.
I flagged this as discussion. It's kind of a rant but I would like to discuss if Celiac friends in the Midwest feel hopeless. I live in the Northeast and have good access to safe foods.

Best foods to dehydrate
Many foods can be dehydrated — including fruits, vegetables, meats, yogurt, and even pet food.
You can even dehydrate jams and sauces to free up storage space and help them last longer in the pantry.
However, keep in mind that foods that are high in fat or oil do not dehydrate well, as the fat can go rancid. Therefore, avoid drying foods like peanut butter or avocados and be sure to trim meat to remove any fat before dehydrating. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/dehydrated-food#best-foods

The effect of glyphosate is based on inhibition of the ‘shikimate pathway’, a metabolic pathway for the synthesis of amino acids that is found in plants but not in animals. However, this pathway is present also in many microbes.
“It is often overlooked that the shikimate pathway is present in microbes as well. We know already that glyphosate-based herbicides and their residues can affect some free-living microbes in soil. Altogether, we are only starting to understand the importance of endophytic microbes to plant health. Thus, it is important to study whether these microbes are affected by glyphosate residues. The next question is whether the glyphosate residues that imposed changes in endophytic microbes are also affecting plant nutrition, health and disease-resistance, among other things,” says Dr Mathew. https://www.utu.fi/en/news/press-release/residues-of-glyphosate-based-herbicides-in-soil-negatively-affect-plant-beneficial-microbes

Microbes can be either bacteria, archaea, protozoa, algae, fungi, viruses or multicellular animal parasites while bacteria are a type of microbes. Hence, this is also a difference between microbes and bacteria.
Conclusion
Microbes are a group of microscopic organisms including bacteria, archaea, protozoa, algae, fungi, viruses, and multicellular animal parasites. They can be either prokaryotes or eukaryotes and either unicellular or multicellular. In contrast, bacteria are a type of unicellular, prokaryotic, microbes. Both microbes and bacteria can be either beneficial or harmful. 2023.02.16 17:04 Cinncinnbuns Major GI issues and no answers for 3+ weeks!!! Please help.

Hi, I could use some help… I have been to many appointments, had tests done, trying medications, and cannot figure out what is wrong but there’s something. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated. Pictures of stool changes in comments.
24f, weight has fluctuated since this started at the end of January, but currently around 235lbs, diagnosed with depression, anxiety, adhd, and herpes. Take: vyvance (70mg), lexapro (10mg) and Ativan (1mg as needed)… daily marijuana smoker, disposable nicotine vape regularly, occasional psychedelic and coke use (a couple times a year)
End of January: blood on TP two days in a row with 0 pain anywhere. Led into severe abdominal pain where I could not move positions. Moving caused severe pain. Began being constipated for several days. Headaches, muscle fatigue, brain fog, exhaustion. Missed a significant amount of work.
Beginning of February: began suspecting lead poisoning as I live in an old house, Michigan water is bad, and my symptoms matched. Lead poisoning test came back normal. Was not eating much at all, back pain, stomach pain all over, muscle fatigue, brain fog
Constipation began letting up and turned into “peeing” diarrhea from butt with mix of hard stools. Severe stomach pain.
Now I am having a great increase in stools, the other day was 7 for the day and it is only 11am and I have had 4. Slight blood (now hemorrhoids? And began using over the counter hemorrhoids wipes).
On the 10th: doc prescribed the medications of bentyl and zig ran with helped me eat, but still being very cautious.
I have been eating and drinking: crackers, fiber 1 bars (occasionally), kefir, bread and butter, rice, organic pasta, lots and lots of water!, Gatorade zero…
I will attach pictures of the changes in my bowel movements. Thank you for taking the time to read and help!!!
January 25-26th: blood in stool, no pain anywhere

Up until I believe a year ago they used to keep the lions share of the gluten-free items in one section. It wasn't perfect but it definitely eased the process of finding something, especially bread products. They've changed their policy to where they now put all of the gluten-free items in the appropriate space for whatever item they are. It is impossibly difficult now to go in and simply pick up an item and no one at the company seems to know why this change was done. If I'm not alone in this aggravation and anyone wishes to voice their concerns regarding this change I would recommend contacting and politely letting their customer service people know that this was an unwelcome change. I honestly believe the person who made this decision probably doesn't understand celiac disease or gluten restrictions in general or they would not have made this change.

2023.01.12 01:05 detroitmikeb A Cautionary Tale

Hi Celiac Redditors. I don’t have a gluten intolerance or Celiac Disease but I wanted to share my Mom’s story in hopes of helping someone and learning more about what you all go through. This might be kind of long but I want to be thorough.
My Mom was born in 1952. We all can assume not much was known about Gluten/CD at this time. Sometime in my Mom’s youth she developed a skin issue on her elbows. It didn’t react to the treatments of the time. She would tell me how the kids at school would make fun of her because of it. It made her very self conscious. Sometime in the 1980’s she had a bad flare of it (I believe around 1982 when I was born) and a doctor diagnosed it as Dermatitis herpetiformis.
So now the skin issue had a name.
Let’s fast forward to 2017 or so. She had no stomach issues whatsoever when all of a sudden she is hit with terrible diarrhea and overall illnesses that were unexplained. This is when she was diagnosed with that gluten thing that we’ve all heard about but probably shrugged off and thought it was a “fad”. She began eating gluten free. She was around 5’ 6” and let’s say 160lbs majority of her life. She began to get to a healthier weight and the stomach issues got a little better.
Now around 66 years old came the random breaks in her spine from everyday activities. Welcome the osteoporosis causing several excruciating injuries and surgeries.
Sure she cheated sometimes. But she paid for it. Training your 65-66 year old brain that loved to eat was a chore.
The next few years she continued to lose weight and have ups and downs. The doctors said “don’t cheat”. She had bouts of stomach blockages, blood clots, several stays in the hospital all while dropping to around 100lbs.
“Don’t eat gluten” they would say. She only cheated at this point rarely.
My mom was turning into skin and bones. She could not eat due to feeling full all the time. Her skin was like paper. She was NOT retaining ANY nutrients, no matter what. Now down to about 90lbs.
Several more hospital and rehab stays with no answers now we are in the hospital with severe rectal bleeding. While doing a scope, her heart stopped from blood loss. The revived her but also found a stomach full of blood, ulcers and stomach lining as thin as her external skin. Now she also had a broken chest and ribs from the CPR.
The doctors had no answers. These were good doctors too! Some of the best gastros in Michigan. My Mom chose to stop all treatments and deteriorate over the next week and pass at 70 years old. She had ruined her stomach from a life of eating gluten and not knowing she shouldn’t. I gave her some good “normal” pizza before she took her last breaths. She passed weighing 85lbs.
If you are diagnosed, take this serious. It’s real. They are still learning about this disease so don’t assume you know it all. Take care of yourself.

As the gluten-free food industry grows, so do the options for consumers looking to stock up. There are many national supermarket chains and independent stores who are taking the lead. For example, Wal-Mart has expanded its private-label Great Value line with gluten-free products.
Other major supermarket chains are adding stand-alone gluten-free sections in some locations. Food Lion has remodeled 45 stores in its home state of North Carolina to accommodate gluten-free shoppers. Meanwhile, Target recently added Canyon Bakehouse breads to its list of gluten-free offerings.
Agata & Valentina, an Italian grocer, is launching a gluten-free store on the Upper East Side in New York City. The store's emphasis will be on vegan and organic products. Shoppers will be able to choose from a selection of bakery products, dairy-free products, and other everyday essentials.
Goldenmillets is another supermarket that has long catered to the gluten-free consumer. They have a wide variety of gluten-free products, including Cherrybrook Kitchen baking mixes and a line of Evol Foods. Additionally, the company publishes gluten-free recipes in its weekly flyers. In addition, they have an online gluten-free resource database.
Another major grocery chain, Publix, is implementing gluten-free sections in 70 percent of its 1,100 stores. The shelves are labeled with a purple and white "gluten-free" icon. Sprouts Farmers Market is an important destination for people with celiac disease, since it has a dedicated area for certified-gluten-free products.
Trader Joe's is another popular gluten-free destination. While the store's website doesn't offer an extensive menu of items, there are plenty of gluten-free goodies to choose from.
Meijer is another supermarket that has a long list of gluten-free products. This family-owned grocer has locations in Michigan, Indiana, and other states. Its team of five dietitians update their gluten-free resources on their website regularly, so customers can find out what's available in their stores.
If you're not sure what you're looking for, ask the customer service department, as they may be able to direct you to the right aisle. You can also check out your local store's weekly ad or flyer. However, be aware that some store's gluten-free aisles are a mix of both full- and gluten-free items.
Whole Foods Market has been a pioneer in the gluten-free market, with its own Gluten Free Bakehouse opened in 2004. The store offers a large selection of gluten-free foods, from pasta to cereals. Many shoppers are turning to the grocer's selections to find the gluten-free food they crave.
Stop & Shop and Delhaize Company are other supermarkets that are stoking the gluten-free fire. Both of these companies own and operate a number of stores, ranging from Stop & Shop and Hannaford to Food Lion and Whole Foods. Now easily find Gluten Free Products Near Me.
These stores are adding a new level of competition to the traditional grocery scene. Adding a dedicated gluten-free section will make it easier for shoppers to find the gluten-free options they need. By understanding what's available, you can avoid wasting money on unnecessary food. When you're ready to shop, use the Gluten-Free Grocery Stores App, which is free and provides a convenient guide to the most popular gluten-free stores in the United States.

2022.12.26 04:14 Commercial_Can4057 Blood tests positive but few symptoms

4.5 years ago I had a bunch of blood work done due to still having autoimmune symptoms despite my thyroid meds keeping my TSH and T4 levels normal. In addition to a new celiac diagnosis at the time, I also had a positive ANA (1:640, homogenous pattern), SLC70 ratio of 1.91 and RNAP3 was positive at a level of 105. Since then, I’ve only had mild Raynaud’s when I get cold. I see a specialist Rheum at the scleroderma clinic at U. Michigan and even he can’t tell me what to expect. I get annual lung function tests, blood work, etc to monitor everything. Has anyone else known about a positive blood test before symptoms were really noticeable? I’m wondering if I’m just lucky or if the symptoms will get much worse soon. I feel like I’m in limbo.

2022.11.27 18:49 Livingapathy46 public notice for celiac in legal states.

I just went to my local dispensary in Michigan. I do not partake in recreational or medical cannabis. But my wife does. I told them how I had Celiac and she's trying to go with me and follow my diet. They did Warren that people were celiac there are some cross-contaminations of medical marijuana and recreational marijuana that you can smoke and still get gluten from the smoke. Plus the edibles a lot of them have gluten in them. So be careful if you do partake and recreational or medical cannabis. I know it helps some people with celiac but I'm not sure how. Maybe we could start a discussion on that.

2022.10.13 09:45 paratarafon Advice for veganizing some Sephardic family recipes?

Trigger warning for discussion of cooking meat… sorry about that.
Hi there! So I’ve made it my goal to veganize all of my grandmother’s recipes. A lot of them are easy peasy, but there are some I’m struggling with.
We are sephardi Jews (expelled from Spain after the Spanish Inquisition, ended up settling in the then Ottoman Empire), and some of the meat-based ingredients get weird. Especially for the sabbath stews. I’ve got a recipe that includes ox tongue, one with lamb neck, and soooo many for veal (gaggggg)… things I’ve never tried in my life. The majority of the broths also use bone, and I’ve been vegan so long that I have no idea what exactly that contributes to soup. I always just use better than bouillon not chicken or veggie broth lol. Is there something I should add to mimic the “depth of flavor”?
I’ve decided to make concessions and just find well… ANY vegan meat substitute that will do well in broth regardless of the meat I’m replacing. Unless someone knows of some good vegan ox tongue. Anyway, what meat substitutes hold up well in soup without falling apart? If at all possible, I want I keep everything gluten free. My mom has celiacs and I’d like her to be able to try the veganized version of her childhood. If that’s not possible, though, i can still enjoy it!
Thank you for any help!
(I’ll be back probably. I’m going to have to get really creative with my egg substitutes. I think my favorite recipe so far has been folares, which is literally just a whole ass hard boiled egg half heartedly wrapped in some pastry dough lol.)

2022.07.27 21:27 soupslang Gluten free carne asadas?

As the title suggests - where in the world can I just get a good celiac-safe carne asada taco? I’ve tried Mexican food a couple times and it makes me sick, and I was wondering if there’s anywhere (specifically in Michigan or, in the next day or so, the LA area) where I can get a good carne asada?
