I'm an 18 year old girl and I'm obese, I'd love to lose weight. Fyi I'm currently in emdr therapy for childhood trauma and I'm autistic.
Normally I walk 1 hour with the dog each day, but right now I'm so tired because of therapy. I'm still walking everyday, but only for like 15 minutes. I often find myself eating candy or something if I don't want to. If I say no to a cookie or a sweet, my parents think I'm punishing myself or that I'm restricting because of my mental health.
I have trouble eating fruit because of it's texture(love the taste though). Tbh when I see thin people I get a bit jealous, they can wear such beatifull clothes and they don't have to order it from one store online. And they can swim, when I was little I loved to swim!!! Maybe if I lose weight one day I can swim again.
My mom and I like to play bingo together a few times a week. There are some fun prizes like yarn(I love to crochet) but there also are some snack prizes. Like a small tube of pringles or a few sweets( she makes bags with 5 marshmallows,8 gummy frogs, 8 bananas, or 8 peaches). I have a candy jar in my room and I often find myself snacking while diamondpainting, even if I don't really want to and I don't want it to go to waste if it gets sticky.
I made myself believe that I don't like fashion because I always have to order clothes from one shop.Often times they are ok, but I don't love them.I know I will always be a bit chunky, because thats our posture. I think I got it from my mom, my father is skinny.
2 years ago I went to someone to lose weight, but I got obsessed with it and it negatively impacted my mental health. My psychologist told me to take a break.

After choosing the third option: INSTALLER (dmg), I got stuck here. And then, after facing the attractive Apple Logo for half an hour, I decided to seek for help. I don't have networking cable for my PC to connect to router. I think I will have to connect to the Internet to download the full image, but will I be able to use WiFi?
So what is the problem here?
Thanks in advance :)

2024.05.18 08:00 SpecialistReason6798 IMPORTANT! Bingoplus Color Game (27k win) Please Help (LIVE FEED INCONSISTENCY)

Dear SiMaam,
My concern while playing Bingoplus color game on May 16 at around 1pm was that I betted 9k on red. During that round I watched the female dealer pulled the string and the result of dices on the game board were 2x red, 1x blue. When she moved away to show the top winners, I'm expecting to be credited 27k but the result was different so i checked the betting tabs (the pay out were for green 3x and yellow 2x) when the time I closed it I saw the female dealer near the game board and the result there were 2x green, 1x yellow (It's different of what I had seen when she moved away beforehand). The time I opened and closed 'BUY' tab was very briefed and I did'nt see she pull the string for the result of (2x green, 1x yellow).
When that happen I'm still confused and reflexively I exited the game then returned. I continued betting small amount hoping it will be fix despite my frustration. After awhile since there's no sign of it being fix and my frustration affecting my gameplay, i decided to stop and reach out for cs rep but he/she can't understand my point and keep insisting they'll need proof. In that kind of situition can you even think to take screenshot or video, it just happen so fast. Game record shows that I loss but my point was the incosistency of the video being broadcasted in my bingo app.
At morning on May 17, I chatted to one cs rep again. The same issue it needed proof. Why is it so hard to understand that during that situation It was impossible to take screenshot or record a video as proof. The only thing I can think of is the bingo app have some problem because just few hours of what happen to me and when i try to log in, there's an update. The update coincide when I'm experiencing delayed broadcast. Maybe just pure coincidence. Since I have no way to prove if their was connection and they can just deny it.
For the third time I had talked to one cs rep again. Like the previous cs reps i had chatted. He is being unreasonable too. Keep saying there is no problem and only bias. He only beleive what the operator's side said. Why not think deeply, question yourself if this guy just talking nonsense or what he's pointing out make sense, is what he claim can be possible or it's impossible. "What advise I can give him to prove his claim if it's true", please try to being rational and ask yourself if you're in the same situation, if that happens you guys will realize asking for a screenshot or video on that kind of situation are close to impossible. If i keep encountering cs rep that asking for proof (screenshot or video) without taking in consideration the situation then he/she is being completely unreasonable. You guys should listen to both parties. One more thing, your cs reps are being rude by ending the chat suddenly while the one on the other side still got many things to say.
Assuming it's not a rigged game. By recalling what happen to me on May 16 at around 1pm. This is the conclusion I came up with to explain what happen in that situation
I can't remember all rounds result but during the time i made a bet of 4k on blue, the result of dices clearly shown on the game board were only 1x red, 1x blue, 1x yellow (I assumed the video showed was the one at its bottom of Game Record GCG01245160MC (1x red, 1x blue, 1x yellow) was the one being broacasted on my phone and not the live feed which was GCG01245160MD (2x red, 1x blue) during that round.
I won during that round so i did'nt pay attention to the list of the previous rounds result seen in the content area of betting tabs. The result seen there might have been updated and accurate compared to dices result I've seen with a delayed broadcast in bingo app. Ofcourse it was'nt my fault for not paying attention and not realizing I'm watching a delayed broadcast (The video played normaly so how can i tell). I trust Bingoplus for being fair because of pagcor so during that round I never doubt of what being played on my phone.
So when i bet 9k on red the video being broadcasted to me is the supposely live feed in my previous 4k bet on blue GCG01245160MD (2x red, 1x blue) and not the live feed of this round whith a result of (2x green, 1x yellow) GCG01245160ME.
Everything i have said here is the truth. If you put yourself in my situation and then think of it carefuly. It was impossible to provide screen shot or video as proof (cs rep always asking for proof). When I realize something amiss about the video being broadcasted and the result don' match while playing, it's too late already to capture a screenshot or video.
To summarize: *While playing color game using bingoplus app, the video feed being shown to me was the previous round (showing I Won) instead of a live feed. It plays normaly so it was impossible to notice. While my bet was reflected in the live feed (latest round) which was shown in their Game Record and playback (showing I Loss). *In short I experienced inconsistency while playing. After a few hours when i try log in, the bingoplus app have an update. I'm not sure if their was connection on what I expereinced like fixing it. Every little possibility should be taken in consideration. *Internet connection is good, while playing i ask first my family members to avoid watching videos or downloading. I used note 20 with fewer apps installed and works fine. Only the bingopluss open that time.
Please honor my win it's not my fault if what I'm seeing was delayed broadcast because I based my bet on that. It so unfair showing me different video it felt recorded while my bet is being reflected to latest round which I'm unaware of. You should have just freeze the video or make it black screen. Why continue playing it normaly when there's a problem. Thank you.

2024.05.18 06:30 Restuva4790 The Nature of Xenobiology- Chapter 13

Credit to for the interesting world created and to for some interesting comments on chapter 126 that inspired this story. Feedback is appreciated!
[first] [prev] [Bonus Chapter 12.5] [next]
Memory transcription subject: Dr. Abraham Bishop, Lead Xenobiologist on the Athena Atrytone
Date [standardized human time]: December 4th, 2136
I sat at my desk, listening to music while drafting the next steps for the Laxna colonies that Tayu and I isolated the other day. Naturally, we need to start with the basic biology, but even that is a thesis and a half. The evolutionary history, metabolism, genetic sequence, and ecology are just a few of the areas ripe for exploration. Shipping a few isolates out to other labs would’ve been convenient, but doing everything in house does get the ego going. Besides, the UN probably wouldn’t approve that either. Running a hand over an increasingly smooth scalp longingly. From braids to bald, now that’s a shame. Theresa would get a kick out of it though. I turned around to face the door, and, as if on cue, Ezra walked in, lab notebook in hand, followed by Harjas.
“And here you are,” Harjas said to them. “If you ever need directions, feel welcome to ask.”
Wait, is this hardass being nice?
“Thank you, Harjas,” Ezra said, with a smile. “I hope you have a good evening.”
“Thank you, but now I must see Tarva and Zhao off,” he said before walking back out the door. No wonder he’s so chipper; I would be too.
“Hello Ezra,” I said. “I hope you were able to get some dinner before heading over. I understand it's later in the day, but science never rests.”
“So long as you aren’t as literal with that as Dr. Liu,” they said.
“No,” I said, stifling a laugh, “I learned the value of rest when my first child was born, unlike Henry ‘sleep is optional’ Liu.”
“Hello Abraham,” Tayu said, walking into us chuckling at our joint recollection. She glanced at Ezra, then me, and tilted her head. I noticed her eyes flicker about, in an attempt to remember some of our past conversations.
“Tayu, this is Ezra, our new lab member,” I told her. “Ezra, Tayu.”
Ezra eyed Tayu up and down, before extending a hand. “It’s a pleasure,” they said.
“What is a pleasure?” Tayu asked, shaking her hand nonetheless.
“Common introductory phrase,” Ezra said. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“Oh,” Tayu said. “ I believe it would be correct to say the same, no?”
I noticed Ezra’s eyebrows furrow before they let out a breath, holding back whatever snide remark that was brewing.
“Yes,” Ezra replied. Tayu nodded, seemingly making a mental note for herself.
“Well now that we are acquainted,” I said, “let’s divvy up some of the work. We need to characterize Laxna, our Wrissan microbial isolate, in terms that make sense. The biochemistry and basic physiology seems to be covered by Arxur sources, so read up on those in the textbook. As for the rest, we get to do that from scratch. I want to know the growth rate, O2 tolerance, and osmolarity tolerance as soon as possible. That can be followed up with a series of media drop out experiments. What amino acids are essential? What carbon sources, outside of intis, are essential?”
“I can request more readings from Wriss,” Tayu suggested. “Repeating everything would be wasteful, no?”
“Good idea,” I said. “Ezra, do you feel confident taking on what I’ve mentioned so far? There is more to work on, but I don’t plan on overloading you.”
“Growth curves are just a standard grind,” they said. “Do you want a 24-hour or 36-hour curve?”
“Twenty-four in quintuplicate,” I said. “Triplicate doesn’t feel rigorous enough for alien life, but I have a bone to pick with power analysis. The less statistical smoke and mirrors the better. By the way, I want any of the tolerance experiments done with hourly sampling points over 24-hours. If we see die-offs, I want to know when it occurs, for every test concentration we have.”
“Noted,” Ezra replied, “and the test concentrations?”
“Hmm, refer to any existing literature. Work with Tayu on getting those readings done. If there’s nothing to go on, use your best judgement.”
“Understood.”
“In the new lab,” Tayu started, “I have been gifted many biochemical staples from the Chief Hunter. Purified intis being one of them. I plan on formulating a defined rich media for Wrissan microbes, using our Laxna isolate as a starting ground. Then I shall begin basic characterization of our mutant Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus strains in this Wrissan media.”
“The new addition came with all the bells and whistles, huh?” I said. “Excuse the idiom.”
“Yes, the new module was a gravid Tilfish, indeed. Quite the treat.”
“Oh God. That’s,” Ezra said, slightly gagging, “q-quite the imagery.”
“That was… poor word choice,” Tayu said.
“Yes,” Ezra said. “Sentient alien bug full of eggs being eaten wasn’t on my bingo card for the day.”
“I suppose it would not be on any card, you humans have,” Tayu said. “Abraham, I will go on with my research now. Enjoy the rest of the evening.”
“Tayu?” I asked as she made her way out of the lab. Well that’s just perfect. Granted, Tayu has had quite the emotionally draining day, so I can see how Ezra’s response would test her patience.
“Did I…?” Ezra asked, staring at the door. “Seriously?!” They began making their way to the door, only for me to slide between them and the exit.
“Given recent political events, sapiophagy is a touchy subject,” I said. “For all the Arxur onboard, mind you.”
“Clearly,” Ezra sighed. “Now may I pass before Tayu gets too far?”
“No,” I said. “Tayu, at the very least, is good at telling when she needs space to process her emotions. Besides, she’s had quite the day from what I can tell.”
“I suppose insisting on apologizing now would be selfish,” Ezra said.
“Perhaps, but onto the rest of the research that Tayu is, unfortunately, not privy to yet. We need to see if Laxna, a Wrissan microbe we isolated on blood agar, can infect human cell lines. I’ll be starting with intestinal epithelial cells since I’ve been growing a culture up on the side. Laxna is hemolytic, so any potential infection of human cells is cause for concern. The last thing we need is Laxnapox or some shit. We also could challenge macrophages with this thing to see if our defenses can even recognise the alien microbe as a threat.”
“So you took the more interesting science for yourself?” Ezra said with a smile. “Typical PI behavior.”
“Think less PI and more ‘first among equals’ given how few of us there are.”
“Princeps laboratorius,” Ezra said with an exaggerated bow. “Sounds Latin enough.”
“Sounds like a lab T-shirt,” I mused. “But, I honestly doubt the science will be particularly interesting in this case.”
“How can alien biology be uninteresting?” Ezra asked.

2024.05.17 16:49 floorlight Matched Betting Guide and FAQ - instructions for new starters and tips for making money

If you're new to matched betting you can easily make up to £1000 fairly quickly, and regular matched-bettors often report earning £100+ per month regularly.
If you don't want to read this guide, a paid-for matched betting site will gives you all the tools and step-by-step guides you need to start making money.
____________________________________________
Q&A
What is matched betting? How does it work?
Matched betting takes advantage of betting website special offers in a way that locks in a profit. Very simply, bookmakers give out free bonuses and have special offers to attract customers (new and existing).
By using the matched betting technique, you can take advantage of these and lock in a profit. You will place a bet with the bookmaker and place a bet on the result ‘not to happen’ on an 'exchange' which covers all possibilities. You’ll lose a few pennies on this bet but you’ll become eligible for the bonus, which you lock in again and receive most of the value of that bonus – as pure profit.
Read the bottom section of this guide for an example.
How do I get started?
I made the mistake of wanting to read all the information I could find, on every website, before I got going. I never got around to doing that and therefore missed out on getting into this years ago.
____________________________________________
The simplest way to start is to sign up to a free trial with a service like Oddsmonkey.
____________________________________________
A similar site is Outplayed which also offers a free trial.
I'd recommend Oddsmonkey due to them having an exclusive 0% fee deal with Smarkets. This will save you some money for every bet you make and you won't get this with Outplayed!
They give you step by step instructions, explain how it all works, the terminology and everything else.
There are also free sites which aim to give you useful information but the above sites are comprehensive, easy to navigate and can answer all your questions.
A free trial will guide you to earning around £40 profit by showing you two offers. You can then decide to continue your subscription if you want.
Both sites cost £29.99/month for sports offers only (no casino offers), or £49.99 with access to casino offers.
You will cover the subscription cost after doing one or two sign up offers - I've found that the subscription pays for itself and is worthwhile.
____________________________________________
My advice – start with a free trial on Oddsmonkey by clicking on this link and take it from there.
____________________________________________
Another thing to look out for - there are often better sign up offers available elsewhere on the internet or through GPT sites, as u/TightAsF_ck likes to point out.
When is the best time to start?
There’s no time like the present.
The earlier you start, the quicker you’ll start making money, it’s as simple as that.
Is it too late to start? Is the party over?
You may hear people say the best time to do this has passed and there’s not as many offers as there used to be. This is somewhat true. Several years ago the offers were more lucrative, however the party is by no means over. I signed up at the end of 2020 when people were saying the same thing and there’s still hundreds of offers to do. I made £500-£600 a month when I started and I’ve made a few £k since starting.
How much money do I need to start with?
Roughly £100 will allow you to place the first qualifying bet (often £10 or £20) and lay the bet on the exchange (could also be around £20 depending on the odds) and will also leave you with enough to place the free bet and lay it on the exchange.
I started off with about £100, then when I saw how much money I was making, I committed about £300. The more you can put in, the quicker you will make money. You can start off with a very minimum of £50 but if you have £100-200 spare to use to begin with, you will make money a lot quicker.
Once you place a bet the money is tied up in that bet until the event is over, so with a smaller ‘bankroll’ it takes longer to do offers. If you can commit more money to the exchange, eg £100-200, that will allow you to place more bets simultaneously.
How much time do I need to commit?
In the first few months I did this, I spent about 3-4 hours a day. I was making about £500 a month at that time. Now I spend a few minutes a day, netting me about £100 a month. This may not sound like a lot of money but for the time and effort, I’m happy with it.
After a week or two you’ll be really familiar with placing bets and will be able to speed things up and crack through offers fast.
Can I lose money?
If you don’t follow instructions, there is that risk. But do it right, be careful to double check the numbers, and you’ll be fine. It is not free from risk.
Pay attention! You are using real money, so if you make a mistake you can lose it. Spend time checking your bets.
This sounds like gambling. Is it?
Matched betting is NOT gambling but don't try it if you have had problems with gambling before, as you may be tempted to gamble. Please read this warning post. You will be placing bets and using betting sites a lot, so the temptation could be there, but if you follow the instructions and the process, you will never be gambling as you will be locking in your bets and be covering all outcomes.
How much money will I make?
Doing all the welcome offers can net you more than £1000. Personally, having done pretty much all the welcome offers, I spend only a few minutes every day doing a few offers and have been averaging £100 a month. That’s really easy. If you spend a bit more time on it, you can easily make a few hundred pounds a month. It all depends on the offers you do and on how much time, money and effort you put in.
What free daily games are there?
There are also daily free games on many sites which will make a little extra easy free money.
Some of these are Betfair, Coral, Gamesys Group sites (Double Bubble Bingo, Jackpotjoy, Megaways Casino, Monopoly Casino, Rainbow Riches Casino, Virgin Games), Ladbrokes, Sky Vegas, Virgin Bet, Livescore Bet, William Hill.
If you don’t play the Gamesys Group games and don’t log in to the sites for a while, you may find a nice offer emailed to you to entice you back, which you can take advantage of and lock in a profit.
How can I keep track of so many bets?
Some of the websites like Oddsmonkey/Outplayed have tools to help you track your profits but the best spreadsheet I’ve found is this one. I’ve used it since I started to track every penny that I’ve put in, withdrawn or bet. It helps you see where all your money is and ensures you won’t forget about money in any account.
Should I create a separate bank account?
You don’t have to but I did and most people do. People find it easier to keep the transactions on a separate account. I use a Metro bank account that is dedicated to matched betting – it also helps with keeping track of profits. Lots of people use Monzo as it's a great app and is friendly towards gambling sites.
How do I keep making money?
Take every single offer you can. Even if the profit is a few pounds or less than a pound. Once you are proficient it takes a few seconds to place a bet and all the profit adds up quickly. If you skip offers because they’re not high value, you’re missing out on free money.
Spend time on the forums of Oddsmonkey or Outplayed and snap up offers when people post them.
Eventually you will get gubbed – this is part of life as a matched bettor. There’s no knowing when this will happen, different sites act differently. You could keep going for a few years and keep the best sites for all that time, or some could get gubbed quicker.
Join some of the many Facebook groups for more tips and to get answers to any of your questions.
What does ‘gubbed’ mean?
If the betting sites are not making money from you or you are taking too much value, they may limit the amount you can put on bets or they may exclude you from promotional offers. This happens to everyone eventually.
Oddsmonkey/Outplayed and other sites explain ways to try to prevent this, or slow it down. One way is not to take really highly matched bets (eg 99%) but there’s no science to it really.
Top tips for new starters:
1 - Log everything in a spreadsheet.
2 - Create a separate email address.
3 - Use a password manager (Lastpass, Bitwarden etc) to log all your login details.
4 - Don’t do accas (accumulator bets with multiple legs) until you’re confident in placing single bets.
5 - Read all instructions carefully.
6 - Go slow. If you rush you can make mistakes. Once you’ve got the hang of it, you’ll naturally speed up.
7 - Sign up to receive promotional emails and do the offers they send.
8 - Do every offer you can – but try not to get gubbed too quickly!
____________________________________________
My personal experience:
I started the journey in November 2020 and have made a few thousand pounds in total. When I started I committed a few hours a day in the beginning, doing every single sign up offer. I was making a few hundred pounds profit a month. Then I moved into reloads, making a similar amount of money. Eventually I couldn’t commit as much time and got gubbed from some key accounts that I abused too much. Now I spend a few minutes every few days, placing every bet I can for every offer I see and make around £100 a month which for me is a nice bit of extra beer money for not very much effort.
____________________________________________
How It Works:
A simple example – Bet £10, get a £10 free bet:
Let’s use a football match between Team A and Team B.
You place a bet on Team A to win with the bookmaker.
You then go to an exchange (eg Betfair Exchange, Smarkets or Matchbook) and place a bet against Team A winning (called a lay bet).
If Team A wins, you win at the bookmaker but lose at the exchange.
If Team A doesn’t win (draws or loses), you lose the bet at the bookmaker but win on the exchange.
Doing this for a £10 bet may lose you around £0.30.
Now you’ll have received a free bet as part of the offer. Place another bet in a similar fashion.
Once the event is over, you will get around £8 back from the free bet, because you’ve covered both scenarios (Team A wins or Team A doesn’t win). Either way you come out a winner and take the £8 as pure profit.
Types of offers – some examples:
Bet & Get – eg place a £5 bet, get a £5 free bet
Bet Boosts – enhanced odds that can be laid on an exchange to lock in profit
Money back if 2nd/3rd/4th– place a bet on a horse race and get your money refunded or a free bet if your horse comes in 2nd/3rd/4th place
Free spins – exactly as it sounds, free spins on casino games
Bet club – place X number of bets or X value of bets per week, receive a free bet
Deposit X, receive X – deposit funds (sometimes with entering a code) and get a bonus
That's it! If you've made it this far, thanks for reading and throw your questions below.

2024.05.17 09:22 ClerksII Does my Grandma have undiagnosed ADD( HD) and could that explain why she’s so difficult?

My Grandmother is a Caucasian, 70 year old woman, no medication, probably between 4’11- and 5’1, about 160 lbs ( Not sure, she’s got thin arms and legs, and while her body isn’t thin, it’s not really heavyset. She has no problem with her mobility, maybe just slower walking, has a bad hip but refuses to take any medication of any kind for any reason, and is a HUGE chain smoker. Probably one or two packs a day. This would explain her infrequent but still noticeable, phlegmy cough from time to time.
I don’t know everything about her past but I know some: One of seven children, parents used to scream a lot, she used to cry in bed with her sister when it happened, told me she stayed away from home as much as she could, started smoking at about 12 years old, got pregnant with my dad at 15, became a mom at 16, by all accounts was the best mom ever, biking, reading, dancing, encouraging my dad to try new things, but still moved around a lot, and kept going from house to house, to trailer, etc.
When she was about early 20s, she met and married a guy who she later divorced because they had a kind of culture clash. I don’t remember exactly what he was, but he was very controlling of her, forbidding her to wear swimsuits, or going anywhere without him, and eventually he threatened her several times with knives and a hand around her neck. Never did anything but she was afraid of knives for a very long time afterwards.
She met my grandpa, and I guess things were fine until after she had my aunt. Sometime after she was away from home as much as she could by way of bingo. This led to her using what she could out of her own paychecks until she came after my grandpa’s, who let her. He sold stuff around the house and eventually asked people for money. Sometime after being married to my grandpa she randomly developed night terrors and sleepwalking. Full on waking up and screaming, full on walking outside and screaming. I guess it just stopped. Was controlling of my aunt, didn’t want her trying new foods, didn’t go out or do fun things with her like she did with my dad.
Nowadays it is well known that nobody wants to live with her, but she’s not like abusive or stealing. But here is what we have noticed:
Heavy chain smoker. It doesn’t look like she even finishes them, she goes like halfway, stops, lights a new one.
Can’t or won’t sit and watch a movie or show. Will start one, get up and do laundry, take care of the dog, check her phone, play on her phone, and will full on have a conversation with you or someone when she was the one who wanted to watch the movie.
Frequent gambler. We just went on a cruise to place she’s always wanted to go and she spent a good chunk either smoking or gambling.
Very annoyed with the smells or steam of foods to the point where she’ll complain or get up and move. My grandpa famously only had seafood twice while married to her and he loved seafood.
Very irritable if she goes a while without a cigarette. She was pretty rude in the airport.
Gets annoyed easily when starting to board or get off the plane. Will full on loudly complain about the heat or cold. Kept asking my dad to open window, close window, turn ac off, turn ac on. Whiny.
Restless, seems like she can’t sit still or focus on anything in a climate where she has to sit and be quiet. (Planes and shows)
Known to start fights about pretty much anything that she doesn’t like. It is all about her from the thermostat, the entertainment, the volume, food, etc very difficult to live with
Very dramatic. Complained she was so cold on an excursion she couldn’t move her leg, and then refused to see a doctor about a numb leg. Said she’d just take a shower and then was suddenly all better about an hour later when she was smoking. Never showered, shrugged it off by saying she’ll be all right.
Dramatic in a little kid version. Like when a two year old is confused or thinking, they’ll scratch their head, purse their lips. Like their mimicking confusion verbal cues? Like they’re thinking this is what we do when we’re confused so this is what I will do. She seems to react to things dramatically and like a second or two after a proper reaction time?
A dog barked and her whole body moved in startled matter. If she hates something she eats, she makes an audible grunt, forces a sad expression in her face, holds a napkin to her mouth, and will dramatically push the food away. It’s not just dramatic, for some reason it makes me think of a toddler going through the motions so to speak.
Will sometimes ask us questions and then immediately talk to someone else or walk away and do something.
Says she’s an introvert who doesn’t like talking to people, but actively makes a point to talk to people. Not in a rude way or anything, just likes talking to people. Not sure if that means anything but I’ve always noticed that. Why would you say you dont like talking to people if you actually do?
Has quit a few jobs for silly reasons, and made impulse buys, like a new car when she obviously can’t afford it. Even back when I was a kid, she was known to gamble nearly everything, and could never afford anything, even though she made decent money.
Loves to complain. Or she just complains a lot. Going out to eat with her is usually a nightmare unless we go out with her to an approved place.
My dad made a joke that she’s ADD and it got me thinking about everything. Can she have and have had undiagnosed ADD? Can symptoms of an ADD nature appear because of trauma? Can trauma beforehand affect symptoms of ADD?
Or maybe it’s undiagnosed anxiety or depression, but can those lead to restlessness or symptoms like ADD?
My great grandma once told my mom apologetically my grandma has always put herself first before anyone. But dad’s joke had made me wonder if there’s maybe overstimulation or…something?
I know you’re not psychic and I’m happy to give any extra info, but I wondered if a person can be horribly selfish if they have some kind of undiagnosed whatever.
Thank you! :)

2024.05.17 00:31 letstalkaboutsax A Letter to You All

This year has been one of the worst of my life. After I suffered years worth of horrendous abuse by birth family, I have finally escaped and am surrounded by people who love me. I have a chosen family now who openly call me their daughter and my best friend of 20 years is now my brother, just like it was meant to be. I have promised that kid for years that I will be right next door someday, but now I live in the *room* right next to him. These people have lived in squalor for all their lives, but they took me in without question or expectations outside of their wants for me to be happy and safe. They came all the way from Texas to break me out of my prison in Indiana - and for the first few months I was here, it was paradise. I live with two incredibly loving parents, my brother, and their two amazing grandchildren whom came to us after a family tragedy. I've had the time of my life, being a "mom". Those kids are everything to me - it's been a dream to become part of this family. We have had to go without a lot, but the material things just don't matter if they are with me.
I have always been a little sickly, but until this year, I was still able-bodied enough to work, to care for my family, and to keep our household afloat. In 2020, I caught Covid and since then, my health slowly declined. The virus kicked Multiple Sclerosis and a bingo-card's worth of autoimmune disorders into hyperdrive. At the tail end of October and beginning of November of last year, I started to become gravely ill. I was hospitalized in the ICU for my first visit and have been admitted twice for a few days since then due to severe dehydration from not being able to tolerate water. I've recently been diagnosed with a disease called Gastroparesis - which has paralyzed some nerves in my stomach: solid food will not longer empty out of my gut and it causes me to be sick. I have been on a liquid diet since November. I can no longer work, eat solid food, and have immense trouble doing basic things like showering, laundry, even brushing my hair hurts. At my worst, I could not stand up off of the floor when I was on my hands and knees, or get out of my bed without someone picking me up. I started out at 210lbs and am now 114. I've (dramatically, I know) felt like I was going to die. I am only 29 and felt like 30 might not be in my cards.
While I was in the ICU, someone on my care team suggested that I reach out to groups on Reddit. I didn't expect much, as I know the world is in such a terrible state right now, but since the very second I asked for help, the outreach from all of you has been mind blowing and has not stopped since. I've met so many people with my diagnoses, I have made an incredibly amazing friend from someone who has helped me since I first fell so ill. I've connected with so many good people, that I now have so many people who support me that I have lost count: and they all came from Reddit. For anything I could possibly need help with, all I've had to do is ask, and someone has answered.
Protein shakes are so expensive - nearly 30 bucks for the premades and my family simply doesn't have the means to get them. There have been so many things I've needed, outside of the shakes, that this sub has given me without a single condition attached. The first wishlist I shared was completed. Someone has given me a bed, because I was sleeping on a thin foam pad with blankets. They've given me food, clothes, medicine... I have even been given so many treats simply because they thought it would bring a smile to my face. I had nothing but the clothes on my back and my kitty when I got here: you have all single-handed helped me begin my life anew in my forever home.
Today, I had to make a post requesting some protein shakes. In less than two hours, I had all that I asked for and someone even bought me a blender, so that I can invest in the powdered form of drinks instead of the premade formulas which are significantly cheaper, will last longer, and are realistically in my price range. I've sat here with tears in my eyes, just blown away by the generosity I was met with today as a continuation of the selflessness that is in abundance in this community. I should have more than enough to get me through until June, when I am supposed to get a drug called Reglan that will help me reintroduce solid food into my diet.
You are all so, so very amazing. I am not kidding when I say that this sub has kept me - and my family - alive. You've all taught me so much in lessons of kindness and generosity. I am looking around my room now and your care surrounds me. As soon as I am able, I will step on the other side of the fence and repay the kindness you have all so unconditionally extended. I've received so much helpful advice and support for so many things, that I can't even begin to put into words how thankful and lucky I am. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. If the world would unite like we do here, it would become heaven on Earth.
Y'all have no idea how thankful I truly am. Sorry for rambling, but you all deserve so much gratitude than words on a screen can express.

The Story:
Keeping her store on Earth was supposed to keep her out of trouble, but when a human walks through her wards like they weren't there, Aloe finds herself with a mystery on her hands. Unfortunately for the human, her people love mysteries - and if she doesn't intervene, no one will. With old enemies sniffing around after her new charge, the clock is ticking to find their answers.
Hey, Miss Kanna.
Aloe showed me how to do this letterbox thing a little bit ago. Hopefully this gets to you. Otherwise, I mean, I guess you’ll never read this?
Rowen grimaced down at the page. Get to the point. Stop faffing about.
Anyway. We’ve been traveling, so I didn’t get a chance to write earlier. Thanks for all your help with the magic kit stuff, again. We still haven’t found an actual answer. We found out I can open the Heartgates, though. That seems pretty big. Just going to assume you know about all that stuff. Aloe doesn’t think it’ll be enough, but
He hesitated, pen hovering over the page. Was he just being naive? He didn’t doubt that Aloe was right, it just…seemed cruel. Surely the whole world couldn’t operate like that.
but I don’t know. It feels like it’d be pretty hard to wave something like that off? Are the Children of Ora or whatever really that single-minded about themselves?
We’re in Emerald Hills now, with that Lord Dilmat guy Aloe knows. If I can be honest a sec? I really don’t know how much I buy that he’ll help me. The lord guy seemed pretty disinterested once Aloe said he couldn’t keep me. Is staying here really a good idea? I do trust Aloe, but I don’t know. I don’t have that much time left. This feels like a gamble.
Not much time at all, now that they’d blown a few days traveling and getting set up. His all-too-short deadline was staring him down every time he closed his eyes. Could he really risk hanging around with some dude who visibly didn’t give even a single shit?
But what else could he do?
I guess it’s whatever, he wrote, shaking his head. I’m going to try and work the shop a little more. People here seem to speak English, but it’s not their go-to. It’s getting a little weird. They keep giving me looks. I need to find some sort of language textbook for Ereliit, but I’m a little worried. If there’s never been a human with magic before, you guys have probably never tried to teach a human before either. Right? So do I even have a chance in hell of learning? Would there even be anything in English?
He took a long, shaky breath. Just a worry. Do you have any ideas? I just don’t know what’s out there. But I’d like to try learning.
There. He’d talked about where they were, and he’d talked about Eswit, and he’d talked about his language battles. That just left…
His lips tightened. That just left the bit he really, really didn’t want to get into. But there was no getting around it.
I’m worried about Aloe. When we were heading into the Deeproads she started having this weird…attack. Glowy eyes, spouting nonsense, wouldn’t respond. She told me it’s because of her magic poisoning her, and she said it was a one-off thing from some kind of magic shock from coming back down here, but then it happened again last night.
She’s fine. I don’t mean to scare you or anything. She’s got that nightsbane stuff, and now that I know this is going to keep happening I can try and watch for it more. Or something like that. But she’s always a bit weird after she takes those potions. I just don’t really know what to do with all this. I just want someone else to know. Getting a little nervous.
Rowen took a shaky breath, closing his eyes for a moment. He hated tattling on her. If he was sick, the last thing he’d want was his friends spreading it around. But…someone needed to know. Someone that wasn’t him. What if last night happened again? What if she fell into another trance like at the aviary and he couldn’t wake her up?
No. Kanna needed to know.
The floor creaked overhead. “Rowen?” Aloe called. “Are you up?”
“I’m down here,” Rowen called back. Well. She was up early. The sky outside was still dark. He’d figured he had at least another half hour before she wandered out.
Quickly, he turned back to the paper laid out on the counter.
I’ve got to go. Aloe’s up and around, and I’ve got to get back to Emerald Hills for more testing. Lucky me. Fingers crossed they actually tell me something useful this time. It wouldn’t be down to luck. This time he’d make them listen. Thanks for listening, Kanna. Hopefully you actually get this.
He stood as the hallway above started to creak, hastily folding the letter up. She’d pointed everything out to him and run through a quick explanation. He just had to take this stamp, marked with a hastily-applied KANNA label, smack it onto the paper, and then put it in that wooden box. Close the lid, and-
Rowen jerked back as a flash of light erupted from beneath the so-recently-closed lid. Slowly he lifted the edge back up.
The box was empty.
“W-Well, that was easy,” Rowen said, grinning. Either the letter was on its way to Kanna, or he’d found a new handy-dandy trash can. All he could do was trust it was the former.
As he put the stamp back into the rack, though, his hand lingered on the wood.
He’d carried Aloe back to her room last night, was all. She’d been utterly passed out, and he wasn’t so frigid as to leave her out in the cold by herself. He’d felt weird about barging into her room unasked, yeah, but…well, he just hadn’t been able to come up with an alternative. She certainly wasn’t about to wake up.
Her bed had been rock-hard. He could remember it clearly, like someone had taken wooden planks and covered them in a few layers of comforter. He’d almost felt bad putting her down on it and walking away. Even the thought of it gave him a sore back.
As he’d turned, he’d caught a glimpse of a writing desk in her otherwise-barren room. There’d been a violin on it. And…a stamp, just like this. There hadn’t been a handy English label, so…he didn’t have a clue who it’d send a letter to. But there alongside it had been a pile of crumpled-up letters.
Someone Aloe wanted to write to, then—but couldn’t? But who? It would’ve been absurdly rude to pry further, so he’d just…walked away.
And now he found himself oddly curious.
The stairs creaked. Rowen glanced up, then gave a quick wave when he saw Aloe descending. “Morning. You’re up early.”
“Couldn’t sleep for shit,” Aloe mumbled. “Are you off?”
“Yeah.” Rowen grimaced. “Eswit wants me back bright and early. I’ve got to keep him happy for now.”
“Good kid.” Aloe gave him a quick smile, patting his shoulder as she passed. “Just stick with it. We’ll figure this out, I promise.”
He was sure she wanted them to figure this out. She might even believe that they’d do it. But belief in a thing didn’t make it reality. He needed to keep pushing. This was no time to sit back and take things easy. He smiled back, nodding, and stood. “I’m off, then.”
“Be safe,” Aloe murmured as he strode by.
He just kept walking, head held as high as he could, until he was out of the Dragon and alone again.
—--------------------
Aloe turned on her heel, giving the floor a long look. The sun was up and Rowen was off. The scholars would be able to help him. The question was, how fast? Would they be able to make a breakthrough soon?
She tried to keep her mind from scrolling through the calendar left to them. It wasn’t enough for them to solve Rowen’s mystery by the deadline—if they didn’t get back to Windscour in time to declare their progress to Envoy Jaian, she’d run a real risk of getting herself in trouble with the crown. She could defend herself, but…she didn’t want to give them any excuse to declare the deal null and void.
Which meant she really, really needed Eswit to get to work, fast.
Sighing, she straightened. A trilling whistle slipped from her lips. All around the Dragon, candles ignited, turning the morning glow into a comfortable brightness. The shutters on the front windows flew open, and through them, she saw the sign out front drop into place.
Well, they were open for business. Overhead, the sunbirds raised their heads, starting to trill amongst themselves.
“Don’t make yourselves trouble,” she said, giving the big guy at the group’s center a warning look and a pointed finger.
He only chirped at her, hopping to the side. She heard one of the eaves windows creak open, followed by the flapping of wings. Several of the others followed suit, vanishing into the outside world.
“Fine,” Aloe muttered, shaking her head. “Come back in time for dinner or you’re not getting any.” It didn’t worry her too much. Most of the dens had access to an exit if they wanted it, and all of them knew the signal for when she was packing up. There shouldn’t be too much danger toward them in a deeproads town like this.
She was just reaching her chair behind the counter when the door swung open again. “Forget something?” she said, turning back.
Her eyes widened at the sight of a woman striding through, short and sturdy with thick, curly red hair and a wide-brimmed hat whose colors had been bleached with too many hours in the sunlight. Pouches ringed the belt on her waist, hanging down almost to her knees.
“Pardon me,” the new woman said, her voice gruff. “Had a lad all but pounding down my door ‘bout some new shop in town.” She leaned her head back, fixing a look on Aloe from beneath the brim of her hat, and grinned. “Thinkin’ it’s ‘round the time I should see the place for myself.”
Just as she’d thought, then—this was Lanioch’s apothecary. Exactly the sort who might be interested in the goods she sold. Aloe smiled right back, bowing with careful, deliberate respect.
“Madam Healer, I believe I have exactly what you need,” she said. “Whatever that is.”
“We’ll see about that,” the apothecary said, turning toward the Dragon’s shelves with a brisk step.
Aloe’s grin only widened. She wasn’t put off by the woman’s air and attitude, no. She’d expected this. The bargaining was the best part—and out of everyone in the town, this was likely to be her primary customer.
The game had just begun.
—--------------------
It was early enough in the morning for there to still be dew on the grass when he crossed over into Emerald Hills, but the lab was already bustling. The secretary Aloe had talked to before perked up at the sight of him, beckoning him over. She didn’t try to speak to him, though. Maybe she was too busy. Maybe he was just the human and didn’t rate a little morning chitchat. Hell, maybe she didn’t even speak English.
He let her usher him into the same lab room he’d been in before. It was just like he remembered it—but this time, there’d been a huge magic circle like something out of Fullmetal Alchemist scrawled all over the floor. There were tiny detailed elements throughout it that looked like someone had painted in with a tiny, hair-thin brush. “Paint, hopefully,” he whispered, giving the thing a contemplative tap with his foot as the secretary walked across the room atop it. If he messed up all their hard work they just might kill him after all.
The circle didn’t budge. With one last shrug, Rowen steeled himself and followed after.
Note-Taker and Box-Holder were there, he saw with a grimace. Both lit up at the sight of him—but as they hurried toward him, he saw Note-Taker pull something from his pocket. A vial, filled with clear liquid.
“No,” Rowen said, taking a step back as the pair charged him. The rest of the researchers scattered around the lab looked up at the firmness in his voice, but he refused to let himself back down. “I’m not going to drug myself. It’s not necessary.”
“You must hold still,” Note-Taker said. “It will…” He scowled, chewing on his lips. “Difficult,” he said at last—and held the vial out again. “Take.”
“I’ll hold still,” Rowen said, shoving his hands resolutely in the pockets of his jeans. God, he felt out of place here dressed like a normal person when they were all wearing their fantasy getups. “I’m not taking it.”
Note-Taker grimaced. He glanced to Box-holder, who shrugged.
Rowen stiffened as the two started talking in Ereliit. “And you can’t keep everything secret from me this time,” he said. “You have to tell me what you’re figuring out about me. That was the deal.”
The two erelin men looked back to him, and now the disdain in Note-Taker’s expression was clear. “No time,” he said. “We will handle. Sit.”
“Yes, there damn well is time,” Rowen snapped. “Look, you’ve got two choices here. You can either tell me what you’re learning or I’m not going to cooperate. Okay?”
He watched Note-Taker’s nostrils flare. The man was positively glaring down the length of his nose at Rowen now. “You are not-”
“We had a deal,” Rowen said. “With your boss. D’you think that Lord Eswit guy is going to like it if you drive me and Aloe away?” He jerked his chin higher, matching the asshole glare for glare. “All I’m asking is for you to talk to me.”
Box-Holder muttered something under his breath, still in that stupid language of theirs. But before Rowen could launch into them again, Note-Taker let out a groan. “Agreed,” he said, sounding like he didn’t agree at all.
He’d at least said the word, though. And he did still need their help to get some answers. So Rowen just nodded, letting the two men guide him to the center of the magic circle, and steeled himself for what came next.
—--------------
By the end of it, Rowen understood why Note-Taker had wanted to drug him.
He didn’t have a clue what they were doing. He’d tried to watch and pay attention, but there was only so much he could do. He was plunked down cross-legged at the very center of the whole arrangement, with Eswit’s mages around the outer ring with their wands and staves. Every time they raised their implements, the circle under his ass started to glow with a frankly-worrying intensity.
And then the deluge would begin. Fireballs. Lightning bolts. Whirlwinds that whipped around him and blew his hair all astray. Bits of free energy, and shrieking rips of pure noise, and gouts of water that drenched his sweatshirt. He tried to stay still through all of it, gripping the insides of his sweatshirt pocket and closing his eyes against the worst of the onslaught. He’d promised Note-Taker he could manage.
But Christ it was hard. Sweat drenched his undershirt, and however strong his resolve had been at the start, he was mortified to find he was starting to shake a little.
All of the fear vanished when, with one last crackle of energy, the latest barrage faded—and the mages all turned away from him. “Is that it?” Rowen whispered.
Note-Taker was in the back of the room, scrawling away madly on a clipboard. The other mages were starting to encircle him, Rowen saw. And they looked excited. Bingo.
Legs still quivering beneath him, Rowen stood, banging his fists into his thighs until the tingling went away. “What is it? What did you find?”
The scholar closest to him glanced over, but turned back to the others just as quickly. None of the rest even bothered to look.
Note-Taker was beaming, though, and Box-Holder’s eyes damn near sparkled. Rowen’s anger deepened. They’d found something.
“Hey,” he snapped, striding closer. “What’d you-”
Note-Taker raised a hand, gesturing dismissively in his direction. A pair of the scholars turned, moving to block his way, but Rowen had expected that. Darting to the side, he ducked between a pair of Orran women—and snatched the clipboard out of Note-Taker’s hands.
You’d think the guy had never been bullied in school. He was slow to react, hands closing around open air for a second before he lunged. “Fucking-”
“Oh, so you do know some actual words,” Rowen said. He kept backstepping, circling the room until the exit was square behind him. “Look. You told me you’d talk. That’s all I want here.”
Note-Taker’s face contorted with anger. “Give it-”
“No,” Rowen said, holding the clipboard up and away from the Orran’s reach. “Just tell me what you guys found out, and I’ll give it back.”
“You’ll-”
Otherwise,” Rowen said, taking another step backward, “I’m going to take this back to Aloe to see what it says. And I won’t be coming back tomorrow.”
He waited, counting the seconds. The scholars had all frozen somewhere in the middle of his escapade, glancing at each other with worried eyes.
This was all a risk. He knew that. He needed these guys as much as they needed him—but maybe a little reminder that he could just pick up and go if they refused to play ball would do the trick. So he waited, eyes glued to Note-Taker’s face and nerves twitching for the slightest sign of counterattack.
Finally, the man scowled, letting out an irritated grunt. “Testing passive resonance,” he said gruffly.
“And?” Rowen said. “What’d you find?”
“Response value of five,” Note-Taker said. He spat the words out, then thrust his hand toward Rowen. “Give.”
“What’s that mean?” Rowen said. “Passive resonance. What is that? And what’s it mean that-”
“Did not promise tutoring,” the man hissed. He jabbed his hand forward again. “Give.
“Okay,” Rowen said. “Fine.” He’d gotten the important bits. Passive resonance, and it spat back a five. Passive resonance, five. Passive resonance, five. As long as he could get that back to Aloe, she’d be able to translate.
He slapped the clipboard down into Note-Taker’s outstretched hand. “Here. That’s all I wanted. Are we done for the day?”
The pair of head researchers glared at him, lips tight, but turned almost immediately back to their own work. One by one heads around the room swiveled away from him.
Guess that was his answer. Rowen shook his head, grumbling a little to himself, but made for the door.
Time to figure out what all the fuss was about.

2024.05.16 21:02 GreeneyedWolfess Somehow this makes sense

So talking with my mother and asked for stories about my father's side of the family. (Died in 86') apparently his grandfather lived next door to my mom and in 81' my mom got home from work to find a whole lot of EMS at the old man's house.
His smoke alarm had been going off for hours until the neighbor on the otherside called it in. No smoke or flames visible though they did have to break down the door.
Looked in the kitchen, nothing Bedroom, nothing, living room, nothing.
Bathroom. BINGO cooked pork and melted plastic WTF?
My great-grandfather (what was left) was on the toilet, unlit cigarette in one hand (oddly unmarked) mom didn't describe the rest but apparently local EMS told stories for years about responding to a case of spontaneous human combustion.
Given the weirdness that my family is known for, I am in not way surprised to learn of this. The creepiest part. The not so bright brother who likes to play with matches, was named after this man.

2024.05.16 20:57 AdvanceJointHealth I made £210 in 2 hours on Swagbacks 3x points on revu

Anyone else notice the 3x points available on revu?
There's 5 gambling sites paying £20 for a £10 deposit.
Robinhood bingo Kitty bingo Just to mention a couple.
I just did these ones and on kitty bingo I made £150 which I have withdrawn. None of them have pended yet after about 5 hours but they can take a while so we will see.
On robinhood bingo I won £20 so I withdrew that also.
When i signed up i selected no deposit bonus. I think the bonuses add a wagering requirement to your balance so you can withdraw unless you bet a certain amount of time. Usually 30x the amount you deposit.
I'm still waiting on the withdraw from robinhood bingo.
Also I'm still waiting on the £150 withdraw from kitty bingo.
In total I turned £20 into £170 from the slots themselves & then an additonal £40 from completing the offers via swagbucks revu offerwall.
The reviews online don't look great for the sites so I'll update in the future if I get the money or not.

2024.05.16 19:55 xassylax Boomer in the library

Long time commenter here but I finally had a post worthy encounter! Nothing extreme but still peak boomerisms.
So I regularly go to my local library. I’m broke af and don’t currently have wifi so if I want to watch movies or anything, it’s either youtube or physical DVDs. So I go to the library all the time for movies and tv shows.
Anyways, last night I was at the library and was perusing the movies. It’s about an hour or so until close so there’s maybe two other people besides me in there. There’s a conference/meeting room off to the side and I can see that there’s a bunch of people seated in there, obviously for some type of meeting. Then Big Boomer Man comes out, his phone ringing loudly.
BBM answers his phone, on full volume speaker of course, and proceeds to loudly have a conversation with who I can only assume was his wife. I didn’t hear the entire thing because I was wearing my headphones but I did catch a few bits.
There was something about how his son is “full of shit” because apparently “no one has headaches that often” and how he “had better get to” some obligation he had “or else”. All I could think was I would absolutely have constant headaches if I had to deal with BBM as a father. I have chronic migraines as it is and I could feel one brewing just from listening to this guy.
Then BBM proceeds to spend like 3 minutes straight trying to get off the phone. Again, couldn’t pick up everything the woman was saying but he kept interrupting her trying to get her to stop talking. Finally he straight up yells “I HAVE TO GO! I’M IN A MEETING!” hangs up the phone, says “Jesus Christ!” to himself, and waddles back to the meeting room.
I looked over at the help desk and gave the librarian a look of “wtf was that all about?!” which she promptly returned with a smile.
So I’m a matter of a couple minutes we had:
Add on top of that his “boomer uniform” (a promotional/free tshirt stretched over his beer gut and tucked into his pants, suspenders, faded and stained jeans, crusty New Balance sneakers, and what looked like a veteran hat of some sort) and it was like playing Boomer Bingo.
Anyways, I usually go to the library during the day so the only people I really encounter are moms with their toddlers. I guess that’s what I get for getting stir crazy and needing to get out of my house at 6pm.

Vivid, brave and propulsive, Vuong's poems contend with personal loss, the meaning of family, and the value of joy in a perennially fractured American spirit. The author of the critically acclaimed poetry collection Night Sky with Exit Wounds, winner of the 2016 Whiting Award, the 2017 T. S. Eliot Prize and a 2019 MacArthur fellow, Vuong writes directly to our humanity without losing sight of the current moment. 2024.05.16 13:00 FiveFrights CPG × FF: FNaB 3

10 years later, Bingo's Dining and Entertainment re-opened after the now new owners got ahold of the remains of the Buttercup animatronic and it's endoskeleton, but it was re-opened as Buttercup's Grill & Entertainment due to them no having the rights to the original name, as an entertainment and restaurant joint made for literallyw everyone to enjoy. The building was then redesigned, with the lobby doors and windows being barricaded, as a new lobby was built for their redesign of the location...
The other animatronics were all rediscovered during the clean up before the redesign of the location... And they were tidied up and ready to use once again. But there was an incident, apparently Citrus extended his wings while a little girl was hugging him, causing them to puncture through the kid and kill her... This then made people think that the animatronics from Bingo's were dangerous, and they were later ordered by the law to decomission all of the animatronics.. other than Buttercup and Lizzy. The new owners were then forced to destroy the animatronics. To make up for this, they then built Caesar, a very fiesty, yet safe wolf animatronic, with the purpose of him performing alongside Buttercup.
Decommissioned Bingo, Decommissioned Blossom, and Decommissioned Citrus are all locked away in the barricaded lobby......
NIGHT 1 - Hey, are you there? Yes, yes. You were the security guard at.. the old place. The Authorities have deemed you the perfect candidate for the investigation of this place following.. what happened to her. You know, the girl? I need you to just.. write down everything that happens over the next 5 nights, and we will reward you a few thousand dollars for your time. About $5,000. But you will get absolutely nothing if you do not complete this investigation. Listen. Everything should go smoothly, and you should be safe. But if you feel unsafe, you should have a console near you, right? That controls the computer in front of you, on your desk. You can monitor the building's 11 different cameras freely, and you can even mess with the building's ventilation systems.. They have silent ventilation that you can enable at any time, but it will affect your monitor's power. Now, there is a door on your left, a door on your right, and a hallway in front of you, correct? Just checking. I'll leave you alone now, but I will reach out again tomorrow night.
Buttercup and Caesar are now active. If Buttercup is at one of your doors, close it quickly. Caesar is very sensitive to sound. Activating silent ventilation will usually make him leave if he appears in your hallway.
Your monitor is on a very limited power supply. It starts with 100% Power, but it loses 1% every 8.5 seconds. For each usage increasing action, it starts to go down 33% faster.
All usage increasing actions are having your monitor on, having silent ventilation activated, and having the camera's red light on.
The building is very dark, so it is recommended to activate the red light on the camera that you are on in order to see much, much better.
All 11 of the cameras are the Show Stage, Dining Area, Main Lobby, Lobby Office, Left Corridor, Right Corridor, Center Hallway, Kitchen, Dance Floor, Storage, and the Old Lobby (camera disabled until night 3). The red light on the Old Lobby Camera flickers quite frequentlye, but it iss on random patterns.
NIGHT 2 - Hey, I see that your first night of investigation went well. See? I told you it wouldn't be a problem! Anyway.. I heard that they have another animatronic that they recently built being held in the storage room.. I suggest that you monitor that one, as well... We have upgraded your monitor to have more control over the building's ventilation system, allowing for you to now activate Maximum Ventilation. It maximizes the power of the vents, but it can also make quite a lot of noise. And yes, this will affect your monitor's power supply. Anyway, I have to go.... But I will keep in touch. Take care.
Another brand new animatronic, Chuck The Woodchuck, has been activated. If you hear a scratching sound, deactivate Silent Ventilation if it is active, and activate the Maximum Ventilation, which will create a lot of noise, scaring Chuck away and most likely luring Caesar towards you in the process.
NIGHT 3 - Hey! We received your report of nights 1 & 2, and we are.. quite concerned, to say the least. They activated and tried to get into the security office? We might just reward you with all of the money for the risk and pull you out now... But this is important! Here, how about this? Finish your last 3 nights.. and we will double your pay. How does that sound? I hope that you can--
Decommissioned Bingo, Blossom, and Citrus are now active. If you spot Citrus flying into the camera, switch cameras immediately, otherwise he will crash your monitor and keep it turned off for about 6.5 seconds.
If Bingo gets into your office from the hallway, turn off your lights asap.
If Blossom gets into your office from the hallway, turn off your lights asap.
NIGHT 4 - Hey! We did get your report, and... I'm sorry. But how? How are they activated? I thought that they were locked away and decommissioned? We ordered that. By law! I'm pulling you out of there tonight, just survive until then! We ordered a lockdown, so you cannot get out, and nobody can get in.. But we will break in, as we have the authority to, and we should have you out of there by 9 AM. An hour longer than usual, I know, I know. I wish that we could do it any sooner. But truthfully, lockdown does end at 6 AM. Just leave then, to be safe. We are going to have those animatronics completely scrapped by tomorrow. Don't you worry. Good luck. I'll see you soon, okay?
NIGHT 5 - Hi there. You may have heard of me before. I am the owner of this establishment. I do not like what you have been doing.. And now, you know too much. And you will not make it out of there alive tonight. Where is your little officer friend, you may be asking? Well, we took him, too... He is locked away in.. a secret room. If you ever at any point try to leave, I will shoot him.
6 AM PHONE CALL - Hey! Hey! Hey! Can you hear me? Oh, thank goodness! It's me! I escaped! He went to go tweak the animatronics, and to make them.. well, only so much more deadly. You need to get out of there, okay? We will surround the place, and send him to where he belongs, behind bars. But I have to run all the way to the station, and then it takes us time to get there, and we should be there around 8 AM... I'm sorry, okay? You can do this. You have to. If you want yourself to live, of course.
NIGHT 6 - It's safer now, don't freak out. We have him locked up behind bars, and we have completely just dismantled Buttercup, Caesar, and Chuck. However, those older ones might not be happy.. So expect some serious aggression from them tonight. We just need you to collect some data.. Especially after what happened yesterday, you know....?

2024.05.16 07:14 Lil_Woman AITA. I don’t want my boyfriend to be near one of his friends unless I’m with him.

I (17F) and my boyfriend (17M) have been together for almost a year. A little backstory about me: my mum kicked me out when I was 16, I had been living with a mates grandmother but ended up moving in with my partners sister and sil, he moved in with me. When we found out we were pregnant, I hid the test under my pillow. His neice (18F) and her friend (17F) (which is also his friend. They’d known her for years but they had a falling out and only recently started getting close again.) came into my room to look for something and found the test, they’re friend took a photo and sent it to his family and since they found out, his sil has been saying I should get an abortion. (I don’t have anything against abortions, I just personally won’t get one.)
Their friend Sarah and his niece Matilda (obviously not their real names for privacy reasons.)
I had a family dinner on Friday to celebrate my brothers birthday. One of them messaged me and asked to not bring my partner as he just wanted family there which is fair and even if he didn’t care, my partner wouldn’t have wanted to come anyways as he never wants to come to any of my family events but always wants me to go to his family events. That night Sarah and Matilda were going bowling and my partner wanted to go with them. I said okay. They left at 5pm and the family dinner started at 6pm so I obviously left after them. I got back around 9pm (I told my family I was pregnant and they were quite rude about it) so I asked him to come back as he’d been gone for 3hrs and he was done bowling. He said no because he still wanted to hang out with them and he said he wanted “me time”. I checked his location and saw he was at a lookout (I had been telling him for months that I wanted to be the first to go to the lookouts with him) and they filmed a TikTok on Sarah’s phone (he never films TikTok’s with me) I obviously was getting mad and told him to get back, instead the went golfing. He came back around 11:30 and I was furious as I was begging him to come back the entire time and I was upset they didn’t want to invite me (they drove past the place we live multiple times) to come and film the TikTok with them or even go golfing. He kept saying he didn’t have to come back so early (mind you, anytime I went out with friends or family I had to be back before 6pm otherwise he’d get pissy and give me the silent treatment.)
About 3 days later, we had an argument and he screamed in my face, I started crying and his sil told him to stop and she took him for a drive. I rang my mum to come get me (we were on good terms as I still wanted to see my little sister.) when I got back he was telling me he was going to sleep in Matilda’s room, I was saying no because it was the night Sarah was also sleeping in there and I didn’t want him to be sleeping in the same bed as another female. They would’ve been sleeping next to each other and in his sleep he likes to cuddle up to the person next to him so I didn’t want him cuddling up to her. He kept saying “I want some me time.” And I said back “you had me time with them on Friday, you don’t always need some me time with them.” And to that he told me that no matter what I said, he wouldn’t be changing his mind. After 3hrs I said “if you do this, I don’t think this can continue.” He said he would still be sleeping in there. Later that night he didn’t end up sleeping in there, he came into our room and slept with me.
The day after, I went to mum mums as my little sister (3F) wanted to have a sleep over. He messages me saying “Okay and I’m gonna go to net ball with Sarah but I will be snapping you every time you snap me I promise please trust me xx” I said no ask I wasn’t comfortable with just him going with her alone. He went anyways and he wasn’t snapping me everytime I snapped him, he’d reply like 5mins after I sent it and I kept getting angry as he was just in the car. They went to the game and while he was there, I told him I don’t want him watching her play and when they get in the car, I said I want him to sit in the back as I wasn’t comfortable with him sitting next to her. He kept saying no and he’s sitting in the front. I kept saying “so you’re really going to sit next to her knowing it’s going to make me uncomfortable.” He said yes and I was mad. Later that night I told him to ring me and he said “I just want some me time.” I said no because he’s been having a lot of “me time.” This week (he’s never said he’s wanted me time before. It’s only been this past week and it’s always been after he hangs out with her.)
So AITA?
(Btw, I’m only a few weeks pregnant but I’m constantly feeling insecure and hating the way my body looks. He also knows I have really bad trust issues as in the past as soon as I’ve trusted a partner with someone they told me not to worry about, I’d get cheated on so I didn’t want to make the same mistake again as I really want to be with him. And he also has to keep telling Sarah about the things happening in our relationship like idk why, I don’t even tell my bsf but I’m asking redit now as Idk if I’m just over thinking or if this is a red flag.)
Update 1: He was meant to be studying yesterday, I got yelled at by his sil if I spoke to him but Sarah had a full 30 minute conversation with him about her going for a drive somewhere (the place she was going to was an hour away and it was currently 3-4pm) and no one said anything. He also asked if he could go for a quick drive with them down to the shops even though I asked him not to but he was allowed to go but he wasn’t allowed to even say hi to me without me getting yelled at. On top of that, I gave him attitude because I didn’t find it fair that his pregnant girlfriend wasn’t allowed to talk to him but some random chick can and so he turned to his sister and asked if he could go with Sarah. He came into the room and started to put his shoes on, I was crying and BEGGING him not to go for about 10-20 minutes as we had also had an argument that day and I wanted to talk to him (he said “I don’t know if I want to be in a relationship with you if this is how you’re acting” I yelled at him for that so he stormed out of the room saying “maybe I’ll go fuck her then!”) but he said he was going. I told him “if you get in that car, don’t expect to see me when you get back” (they were leaving at 3-4pm and said they wouldn’t be back till 8-9pm) he said back to me “where would you be going?!” So I replied with “Im going to Lisa’s!” (Obviously not her real name, she’s my best friend. And for context, he hates her as they had an argument a while back and now he calls her a junky and all that) he got mad at me and stormed out so I put my shoes on, I didn’t even bother to do them up, I just stormed out of the house before they even had the chance to drive away. I went to her house and I was hysterically crying to her because it made me feel like he just chose her over me. He then came and got me around 8 and we went back to ours, we were talking for about 2-3hrs (not counting when that bitch kept coming getting him to go out and “help” her with things, I obviously followed behind every time she wanted him out there) and when we were done, his sil (she was at bingo) called him and started yelling that he better be done his work because he’d been home for 2hrs and he tried to explain that we were talking (she was also telling us that we need to talk it out) but she just kept yelling at us about how I need to stop talking to him so he can focus on studying.
What I don’t get is, he can go to the shops WITH HER and be down there for 40mins and then also go somewhere WITH HER for 4-5hrs but can’t even say hi to me before he left or can’t even try and talk about our problems for 2hrs while she can take him anywhere she wants for hours at a time, it’s honestly getting to the point where I want to hit her.

2024.05.15 21:52 Gatorsforthiscreator I need kind words, I'm so lost.

Here is my break up story.
He(29) and I(F25) have been together for almost three years. We had some differences, that’s for sure. He had a brain injury that had an impact on his speech, and motor skills. Sometimes he couldn’t feed himself without flinging it everywhere, so I would happily help. He couldn’t walk correctly without it eventually leading to falling down. I would be his human crutch, he would stand behind me with his hands on my shoulders and the weight of our bodies would work together to keep him upright. It was much easier for me to put his socks on him, than for him to do it some days. So I would do that, and so on. I never minded, not one bit. It never even crossed my mind as the slightest bit of inconvenience. I loved him, and still do - and that love was untouchable. Could not be matched. That’s not to say he won’t find someone who loves him as much as I do, but I know that my love for him was unconditional, and endless. It was strong, and overpowered anything else. We both had insecurities, often he’d ask me who was messaging me when it really was just a game notification, or ten. I played a lot of phone games; bingo, solitaire, slots, word games, whatever. They’d coincidentally all notify me at the same time, typically on the hour, every few hours. I’d do the same, ask “who are you texting?”. Funny, neither of us had a reason to worry about it… to this day, we don’t.
We also had great similarities, we worked together, in my eyes. We would laugh about the dumbest things. We knew exactly how to comfort each other. The little sweet things all added up and made for what I thought was a perfect little peaceful home. Our views on social issues, or moral standards aligned well. Of course, we had some disagreements too, but no two people in this world are 100% eye to eye.
April 6th this year, last month, I boarded my first ever plane, at the age of 25 with him. We were flying to Florida to stay with his mom and her long-term boyfriend at a new home she had just purchased, a seasonal home. This trip was really fun. I loved the time I got to spend with him, and his mom and her partner. On the last full day we were there we had gone to a beach, and as cheesy as it sounds - he picked up a pretty dull looking seashell that was in front of him. He asked me to add it to the bag of unique looking shells I had walked around gathering. I asked him why… It looked so ordinary. He told me for some reason that’s the first thing he spotted when he realized he wants to marry me someday. This made me happy, it made me feel even more secure than I already did.
Fast forward to when we arrive home, the following day. We relaxed over the weekend and then returned to our Monday through Friday jobs. I worked 9-5, and then three nights of the week would have night class from 6-10. He worked 3-11, and so he’d get home just a tad bit later than me. I almost always stayed up to see him, we’d say hi, cuddle, and go to bed. Each weekend we had with each other we would spend time doing whatever, but together. Come the beginning of May, it was a Monday. I went into school 30 minutes early as requested to speak with the director of education. They terminated my enrollment due to an incident that occurred between me and 5 other classmates. An argument, one that should not have happened. I had remorse for this. He had told me the night the argument happened, while I was upset, that he won’t be mad if I get terminated, he thought my reaction to the situation and how I handled it was valid. As long as I stuck through and didn’t drop out over it then he wouldn’t be mad. I agreed, no dropping out. Thursday I got a text message from him. He told me that I have 8 days to move out. That our relationship has been such a big part of his life for so long, he needed to be on his own, be with his friends - essentially that he needed to find himself. In this message he always advised this was nothing I did, that he will cherish all the memories he has that we made together. He also said that he doesn’t want me reaching out unless it was to discuss the division of our belongings, and that doing this face to face would not be healthy or productive, it will just make it harder.
So… Hold on. A month ago, you told me you love me so much, and one day you’re sure you’re going to marry me. I could hear the honesty and vulnerability in your voice, I could see it in your face. Now, all of the sudden, even though you called me babe just this morning, and asked me to pick stuff up from the store for you on my way home… a couple hours later, out of nowhere, you’re just…done? This doesn’t make sense. None of it makes sense. I am destroyed. I love you more than anything and would have - did, do anything I possibly could for you, but you think life without me will be better? That fucking hurt, no actually - I swear it killed a part of me. I’m not angry. I am so god damn fucking sad. I am lost. I am anxious. I am scared. I am alone. I feel abandoned. I am uncomfortable. I see no future anymore, the rug was ripped from under me and I was left alone, to get my stuff out as soon as possible while trying to nurse a torn apart, stomped on, broken heart… and what is worse for me, is you’re worth it. People keep telling me to “try to think of the reasons why this is a good thing” but I can't, to me there is absolutely not one good thing about this for me. I can’t stop thinking “is he going to realize this wasn’t the right choice?” “Does he care at all about me?” “How can he not care not one little teenie tiny speck about me, all of the sudden?” “Is he hurting right now and his coping mechanism is to shut me out, 100%, completely?” “Will I ever even hear from him again?” “Is he ok?” “Does he miss me?” “Does he hate me, for essentially… no reason?” “Am I doing the right thing by abiding by his request not to reach out to him?” “Maybe he is waiting for me to reach out to him… but he told me not too.”
I am so lost. I miss you so much. I want you to realize the same. I want you to text me and say, “I don’t know what I was thinking, I miss you, can I see you?”
But all I’ve gotten is radio silence… I’m not religious, I wish I was - in a time like this I feel that faith is the only thing that could make someone feel accepting of the situation… but I still pray to God, or whatever higher power there is that he changes his mind.
I need help, but no one can give it to me. I am helpless.
This happened last Thursday, last text he sent was Saturday night, to confirm I have until this upcoming saturday to move out. Last text I sent was monday, I asked him what he would like me to do with his laundry (due to his disability we had a system for his clothes), but got no response... I haven't texted since.

I see no future anymore, the rug was ripped from under me and I was left alone, to get my stuff out as soon as possible while trying to nurse a torn apart, stomped on, broken heart… and what is worse for me, is you’re worth it. You're worth a million more heartbreaks. People keep telling me to “try to think of the reasons why this is a good thing” but I tried, so hard, and I can't. To me there is absolutely not one good thing about this for me. I can’t stop thinking “is he going to realize this wasn’t the right choice?” “Does he care at all about me?” “How can he not care not one little teenie tiny speck about me, all of the sudden?” “Is he hurting right now and his coping mechanism is to shut me out, 100%, completely?” “Will I ever even hear from him again?” “Is he ok?” “Does he miss me?” “Does he hate me, for essentially… no reason?” “Am I doing the right thing by abiding by his request not to reach out to him?” “Maybe he is waiting for me to reach out to him anyway… but he told me not too.”

I saw him briefly two days later when he came to get some clothes for himself, and I made him tell me to my face he doesn't want to be with me anymore. He said he does love me and care about me, but this just needs to happen... and before I go thinking there's someone else, there isn't. I know there isn't, though.
Sunday, neither of us reached out to one another. This Monday, I texted him to let him know I will continue paying the credit card bill, I will let him know when I'm finished moving out, and asked if there is something he'd like me to do with his laundry (we had a laundry system due to his disability). This was the first time I got no response... and still, nothing. I didn't reach out Tuesday, yesterday I reached out again to let him know I will be fully moved out today and to please let me know if he ever needs me for anything. He responded and said “the chances of me never needing you are so thin, even if it’s just to talk, I just have to do this for myself”
My question is, will he come back and should I give him space or reach out again?

2024.05.15 16:00 PetrZitskiy Finding the Best Online Casino Platforms

Finding the Best Online Casino Platforms
[ Finding the Best Online Casino Platforms ]
The world of online casinos offers a plethora of platforms, each promising exciting games, lucrative bonuses, and a seamless user experience. However, not all online casinos are created equal, and finding the best one can be a daunting task. This guide will walk you through the essential factors to consider when choosing an online casino platform, ensuring you have a safe, enjoyable, and rewarding gaming experience.

1. Licensing and Regulation

Why It Matters

Licensing and regulation are the cornerstones of a trustworthy online casino. A license from a recognized authority ensures that the casino operates legally, adheres to strict standards, and offers fair play.

What to Look For

  • Reputable Licenses: Look for casinos licensed by reputable authorities such as the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), or the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority.
  • Visible License Information: The casino should display its license information prominently on its website, usually in the footer section.

2. Game Selection

Why It Matters

A diverse game library enhances your gaming experience by providing a wide range of options, from classic table games to the latest slot titles.

What to Look For

  • Variety of Games: Ensure the platform offers a mix of slots, table games (like blackjack, roulette, and baccarat), live dealer games, and specialty games (like bingo or scratch cards).
  • Top Software Providers: Casinos that partner with renowned software providers such as Microgaming, NetEnt, Playtech, and Evolution Gaming typically offer high-quality and fair games.

3. Bonuses and Promotions

Why It Matters

Bonuses and promotions can significantly boost your bankroll, providing more opportunities to play and win.

What to Look For

  • Welcome Bonuses: Look for generous welcome packages that may include match bonuses, free spins, or no-deposit bonuses.
  • Ongoing Promotions: Check for regular promotions like reload bonuses, cashback offers, and loyalty programs.
  • Fair Terms: Ensure that the bonus terms and conditions are fair, with reasonable wagering requirements and clear instructions on how to claim and use the bonuses.

4. Payment Options

Why It Matters

Convenient and secure payment methods are crucial for smooth deposits and withdrawals.

What to Look For

  • Variety of Methods: Look for casinos that offer a wide range of payment options, including credit/debit cards, e-wallets (like PayPal, Skrill, and Neteller), bank transfers, and cryptocurrencies.
  • Fast Payouts: Check the withdrawal processing times. The best casinos process withdrawals quickly, ideally within 24-48 hours.
  • Security Measures: Ensure the platform uses advanced encryption technology to protect your financial information.

5. Customer Support

Why It Matters

Reliable customer support ensures that any issues or questions you have are addressed promptly and effectively.

What to Look For

  • Availability: Customer support should be available 24/7 through multiple channels, including live chat, email, and phone.
  • Responsiveness: Test the responsiveness of the support team by asking a few questions before you commit to the platform.
  • Comprehensive FAQs: A well-organized FAQ section can provide quick answers to common questions.

6. User Experience

Why It Matters

A user-friendly platform enhances your overall gaming experience, making it easy to navigate and play your favorite games.

What to Look For

  • Interface and Design: The casino website should have a clean, intuitive design that’s easy to navigate.
  • Mobile Compatibility: Ensure the platform is optimized for mobile devices, allowing you to play on the go.
  • Loading Times: The games and pages should load quickly, providing a seamless gaming experience.

7. Reputation and Reviews

Why It Matters

The reputation of an online casino gives you insight into its reliability and quality of service.

What to Look For

  • Player Reviews: Read reviews from other players to get a sense of their experiences with the casino.
  • Industry Reviews: Check reviews from reputable industry websites and watchdog organizations.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finding the best online casino platform involves careful consideration of various factors, from licensing and game selection to bonuses and customer support. By taking the time to evaluate these elements, you can ensure a safe, enjoyable, and potentially lucrative online gaming experience. Happy gaming!
