Events are listed by the day. Events that happen every week appear first, one time stuff after that. If you have anything you’d like people to know about, comment here or message me and I’ll add it in. If you’d like further info about any of the events, look it up! I usually don’t have any extra to add.
Large Scale, Ongoing, and Multi-Day Events - Look, this weekend is weird and jam packed. Graduation, First Friday, May the 4th Be With You, and Cinco de Mayo are the biggest things. If you are not looking to be involved in any of that, DO NOT TRY TO GO OUT TO EAT THIS WEEKEND. Allow extra time for any take out orders from places in town or close to campus. I suggest going to the beach instead.

2024.05.02 19:07 Bashfulbish Trying to lose fat and gain muscle, not sure what I’m doing wrong
Ok I’ll dump all the info here and if you need more just ask. I’m pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I’m seeing ZERO results and desperately need some input.
Female, 33, 5’7” and 150lbs. I started working out (cardio) 4 times a week 6 months ago but did almost no work on my diet. 3 weeks ago I totally revamped my diet. 1600 calories a day. Tons more fruit and veg, high protein. I drink water all day. I still do my 4 days a week of cardio and am now also doing 6 days of strength training in the gym, about an hour. On top of this I average 12,000 steps a day. I’m taking L carnitine before workouts to help with fat burning, probiotics and enzymes to help digest all the new fiber I’m getting from the fruits and vegetables and aid muscle recovery. I’m sleeping like a log every night, 8 hours.
With all of this I have lost ZERO pounds. My body measurements are all the same. My clothes all fit the same. PLEASE tell me what I’m doing wrong here. I’ll list my typical meals below in case maybe there’s something I’m eating/doing that’s thwarting my efforts. I’m getting so angry at my body for not just doing what it’s supposed to
Breakfast- one egg and one egg white scrambled (no oil, in non stick skillet). 1 piece of Dave’s killer multigrain bread, dash of hot sauce. Half a premiere protein shake in my coffee. Either a banana or 2 mandarin oranges
Snack- 1/4 cup roasted cashews and an apple or half cup of berries
Lunch- protein bar and a banana
Snack- 1 cup baby carrots and 1/4 cup hummus
Dinner- 5oz portion of brined and baked chicken breast. 1 cup roasted sweet potatoes, 1 cup roasted broccoli (or green beans, or Brussels sprouts). About 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil used to roast the veggies. One half of an avocado.
I usually have 1 cup of lesser evil popcorn as an evening snack around 8pm but am going to cut that, as it’s the only thing I can think of that’s holding me back. It’s my only ‘food for pleasure’ instead of ‘food for fuel’ choice and I guess f*ck me for wanting to have that.
Idk guys… any input? I’m so beyond frustrated.

2024.05.02 19:05 PiedCrow Had the urge to write again and would love feed back
Sir Jack Beastman, accompanied by his companions Soup and Lightning, couldn’t help but smirk with a mix of excitement and nervousness. He managed to control his expression just before the impressive royal guards each pushed open their part of the double doors.
It did not escape Jack's notice that the guards opened the inward-swinging double doors with grace, practiced motion, and speed, transforming them into a single grand and imposing mechanism. This observation intrigued Jack, who was always too curious and never satisfied. He could see the attention and seriousness the guards put into their duties. It was evident to Jack that these royal guards had likely dealt with and thwarted real threats. No guard could maintain such focus and attention without taking pride in their work and finding fulfillment in it. Men like these craved action to feel fulfilled, of that Jack had no doubt. As he waited for the royal spokesman to announce his arrival, Jack observed each guard's micro-twitches, which suggested they were mentally simulating potential encounters with him and his canine companions at least four times over.
Unbeknownst to Jack, the guards who impressed him so much were also the first target for cutbacks whenever the kingdom faced financial woes. Despite recommendations from economy and administrative counselors to reduce expenses by eliminating the separate royal guard.
As Jack crossed the threshold, he looked around, consciously restraining his urge to scan the room too quickly for decorum's sake.
The room was lined with guards, positioned against the walls, their numbers denser near the throne. Amidst them, two large clusters of courtiers, whom Jack affectionately dubbed "gossip talkers," congregated around the center. Jack anticipated a grand rug to adorn the space between them, but instead, the floor was bare stone. Casting his gaze upward, Jack noted the lack of decoration throughout the throne room, contributing to its austere and cold atmosphere.
The king, seated upon his throne, appeared to be nursing a headache, his temples gently massaged by a servant positioned discreetly behind his seat. With eyes closed, he sought solace from the persistent ache. Meanwhile, his wife, Queen Mary, alternated her gaze between Jack and his companions, her concern evident as she monitored her husband's discomfort.
She leaned over to him, snapping the king from his pain relief trance like state, he straightened himself and the servant quietly disappeared into the shadows behind the throne.
Jack by this point has reached the spot where he is supposed to bow and address the king Soup and Lighting never detaching from his knee, quietly waiting for the king's acknowledgement to proceed with the formalities.
As their gazes met, the king gave a subtle nod, signaling Jack to begin. Keeping his back straight and maintaining eye contact with the king, Jack executed a respectful bow. Simultaneously, Soup and Lighting, ever attuned to their master's cues, lowered their torsos and heads in their own version of a bow, acknowledging the king in their canine way.
Jack congratulated himself for winning the stare contest he decided that he and the king were having, when the king looked away to appreciate his friend’s gesture. He then cursed himself for enjoying the pressure too much and to focus, as the room is filled with people who could make him disappear.
Jack momentarily congratulated himself for what he perceived as winning the unspoken stare contest with the king, only to quickly reprimand himself for indulging in such frivolity. As the king shifted his gaze to acknowledge Jack's companions, Soup and Lighting, Jack cursed inwardly, chiding himself for relishing the pressure of the moment. He reminded himself sternly to remain focused, acutely aware of the presence of numerous high influence men and women who could make him vanish without a trace.
Once all the formalities were concluded, Soup and Lighting settled down at Jack's side as the king addressed him directly. "Jack, my esteemed knight, do you recall that I served as your sword bearer during your knighting ceremony?" The king gestured toward Jack's bastard sword, prompting a flood of memories.
"I do, Your Highness," Jack replied, a mixture of respect and unease evident in his tone. "You graciously yielded your own sword, albeit with some reluctance, to fulfill my request for a bastard sword instead of the traditional longsword." Internally, Jack cringed at his choice of words. "What did I just say?" he scolded himself, mortified at the perceived familiarity in addressing the king's disposition.
To Jack’s relief, the king laughed. “I have heard you have taken good care of her as well," he remarked, referring to Jack's sword. "Before my father granted that territory to you, the kingdom suffered countless raids from the mutees, the grand forest in your territory providing them plenty of hiding and ambush spots for our armies. Your wise use of the forest for your timber industry and ability to defend it proves your merit to this kingdom”
The king continued to praise Jack. “Now, only ten years later, the mutee’s are our allies thanks to negotiations you started with their chief. Yet even more impressive than that, you have become one of the richest knights in my kingdom.”
Jack felt a lump form in his throat as he realized the king was praising him. In his experience, starting with the good things only meant the bad things were the important part saved for later.
"I had sent spies into your household, Jack," the king stated blankly. "I was afraid the secret of your success was, as is often the case for many, rooted in dark tidings." The king's smile softened the severity of his words. "But it’s not, is it? The secret of your success is you."
The king's revelation left Jack momentarily stunned, his mind racing to comprehend the implications of the king's surveillance. However, before he could gather his thoughts, the king continued.
"I need you here, in my council. You are wasted on a border territory."

I don’t want to be clingy/come off too strong since we haven’t really DTRed. But he went above and beyond for my birthday so I feel like this wouldn’t be too much?

2024.05.02 18:29 StashuJakowski1 It sure is starting to look like my wife and I are the first hotdog cart vendor to follow the rules within the two counties we’ll be operating in.
This morning we had reached out to our local fire district to get an inspection scheduled so that we can get out heath department inspection scheduled. At first, the fire inspector was a bit confused and had asked us if could we provide some additional information to him about our cart. Which we provided him the web link to the builder we purchased it from. As soon as he pulled up the information he started laughing and essentially said “WTF am I supposed to inspect? It’s basically a backyard propane BBQ on wheels! This’ll be the strangest and shortest inspection I have ever done. I’ll just meet you over at your storage unit this afternoon to sign off on it. As long as you have a fire extinguisher on hand, you’re good.”
For all the years he’s worked in the department, nobody has ever approached them regarding a fire inspection on a “traditional hotdog cart”.
(Note: Our village is split in two by the county line, so our local fire district actually operates in two counties)

2024.05.02 18:26 doughnutacolypse Found old stock
2024.05.02 18:26 moss_en_place I’ve tried well over 100 different tins of fish and these are the ones that stand out.
There are plenty of tins I’ve tried that are just as good as some of the ones mentioned, but all of these stand out to me in some way or another (maybe it's a great deal, unique flavor combo, or simply really really really good). Let me know, have you tried any of these? Agree or disagree with me? Also, it goes without saying, but these are just my personal preferences :).
$1-10
- King Oscar Tiny Tots - it's a classic for a reason and a great beginner tin because small sardines are more delicate and have no noticeable bones. Cheap, readily available, and consistent.
- Riga Gold Sprats - Very very smoky. Cheap and easy to get. Enjoy with cultured butter, rye, pickled red onion, and hard boiled egg.
- Nuri Extra Spiced Sardines - Like the spiced, but spicier, which I love :). Insanely good with mustard and crackers.
- Patagonia Provisions Mackerel (any flavor) - the cannery that Patagonia Provisions partners with is well known for the quality of their mackerel, and it shows! It has the best “chew” that I have not found in any other tinned mackerel. Plus, it's often on sale and readily available at my local grocery stores.
- Sardinha Sardines in Spicy Olive Oil with Pickles - Dan from RTG recommended this to me after I told him that I really loved the Minerva spiced mackerel with pickles. This is similar to Nuri spiced, but without the bay and clove. Just really really good Portuguese Sardines.
- La Belle Iloise Sardines - fat and wrinkly, French sardines are something special. I’m not sure if these are really that much better than other French sardines you can find in the US, but the added allure of needing to smuggle them back to the states yourself makes them feel more special :).
- Ati Manel Garfish in Spiced Oil - Like a firmer sardine, but not at all dry. Incredibly satisfying and addicting. Really good value overall.
$10-20
- Matiz Giant Squid with White Beans and Paprika - I wish this tin was more readily available! So smart to pair chewy yet tender squid with beans in a savory paprika oil. The beans are so tender and soak up that delicious oil, a full meal out of a can.
- Codesa and Don Bocarte Anchovies - these are both S tier anchovies, best enjoyed on bread with a smear of butter. When I visited Santoña (where these anchovies are produced), pretty much every other brand I tasted was similar, so I think this is just the standard. These are plump and less salty with 0 spines!
- Ramon Peña Small sardines with padron pepper - This was the first tin of sardines I had that made me go “wow.” The flavor of the padron pepper is subtle but adds just the right amount of oomph. The sardines themselves are pristine. So good with just butter and a cracker.
- Jose GourmetSpiced Calamari in Ragout - this sauce! So complex, unlike anything else I have had out of a can. Great with bread, or warmed over polenta.
- Minerva Mackerel filets in spicy olive oil with pickles - one of the first tins of mackerel I had and it still holds a dear place in my heart. Simply delicious.
- Fangst Smoked Herring with White Pepper and Ramson - More subtly smoked than most kippers. Delicious with cream cheese, or as is.
- Tiny Fish Co Octopus with Lemon and Dill - Tiny Fish has been super hit or miss for me, and these are a hit. No other tin quite like it, best warmed up!
- Ekone Smoked Habanero Oysters - Big, meaty, absolutely delicious. Solid smoke level and the habanero sauce is surprisingly complex. Use them in a seafood tostada.
$$$$$$ 20+
- Portomuiños Razor Clams with Sea Spaghetti and Garlic - Perfect razor clams, no sand or grit. In the tin you will find some seaweed and one clove of roasted garlic. You really get the garlic flavor, and the seaweed adds some subtle sweetness and umami. Just a really delicious tin overall.
- Ar de Arte Scallops with chili and garlic - Probably my favorite tin. The only tin of scallops I have had that really gets the fresh scallop flavor. Just really delicious. I would not cook with this, just eat as is with a squeeze of lemon.
- Wildfish Cannery Smoked White King Salmon Belly - The best canned salmon I’ve ever had. Perfect amount of smoke, extremely decadent.
- Island Creek X Mariscadora Tuna Belly in Butter - Immaculate ventresca in butter? Say no more! A unique tin with serious presentation appeal that I think is worth the hype.
- Alalunga Hake in Salsa Verde - Another “meal in a can.” Surprisingly fresh and delicate for coming out of a can.
Notes:
- I loooooove octopus and tinned baby squid, but surprisingly I’ve found that I tend to like most tins and I can’t pick just 1-2.
- I don’t like tinned mussels which is why you don’t see any on the list!
- I’m a long time member of the sub, this is just a new account

2024.05.02 18:25 SinofnianSam Breakfast Burrito Recs? Having a hard time finding a great one.
I’ve searched far and wide (including here) for my ideal breakfast burrito. Here’s what’s on my list:
-Moist eggs -CRISPY tater tots (texture is important) -Bacon, sausage, or steak options -Bonus points for a cilantro crema sauce
For anyone familiar, I’m looking for something along the lines of what you get at Wake & Late in downtown LA. I’ve been chasing that breakfast burrito since I arrived in SF.
Any leads would be immensely appreciated.

2024.05.02 18:16 Kind-Peanut9747 Scariest experiences?
I have had a lot of encounters over the years but there are a few that really stick out for me that were particularly scary/unnerving.
The first encounter that ever scared me took place while house sitting. My parents were house sitting for a friend, we had stayed in their basement bedrooms for a few weeks when we moved while we found a place and there was a lot of foot steps/noises at night but nothing really all that concerning.
So my dad was checking the outside of the house because it had been raining non-stop for a couple days and he asked if I could run in and make sure the laundry room wasn't leaking.
Now this was a tri-plex building with a neighbor on each side. This friend's husband had died in the backyard when their BBQ erupted into flames, neighbor on the left lost their husband and a teenage child in their unit to suicide and the unit on the right lost an infant to sids a month or so before this happened. The building had a lot bad shit happen.
So I go inside and for the first time felt intensely uncomfortable, like I was intruding. I had to go to the basement to check the laundry room and made way that direction, the top of the stairs the hair on my neck stood up. I pushed it aside, turned on lights and went down.
The basement felt thick. Like walking through a dense fog. The closer I got to the laundry room, the worse it got. When I reached the laundry room and looked in, there was just a blackness enveloping the whole corner of the room and I don't know if it was out loud or in my head but I heard "RUN" loud and aggressively.
I took off as fast as I could move and this blackness crawled along the wall, chasing me up the stairs but it stopped at the top.
I turned off lights and got out immediately but that stuck with me for a LONG time after.
Another encounter I had in the same town was months later. I went with my then bf to the reservation where his grandma lived on Halloween. She had candy and stuff for him and wanted him to pick it up quickly. I went with but stayed in the car while he ran in.
I was sitting in the passenger seat looking out the window, it was night time but there was street lights around so not pitch black.
At the corner of the property I saw a shadow. It was tall and looked like a man near a street light, I watched to see if it would move or whatever and it went from perfectly still to dropping onto all fours.
It bolted into the longer grass and I lost sight of it. A few moments later the door handle on one of the back car doors lifts and snaps back down. Then the next one, same thing, lifts to almost opening and then snaps back down. Then the drivers door and finally my own.
At this point the front door opened as my ex came out of the house and the shadow went back into the long grass at the corner of the property.
That really stuck with me too.
A final experience I had in another town that really scared me happened in the summer.
I was helping my mom with an antique store. We were sorting through stuff that just came in and I came across this little glass jar with an ornate silver lid. Something about it spoke to me. It wasn't fancy and inside it was full of grey dust looking stuff and a bunch of very tiny blue/purple flower buds that had the faintest sweet smell.
I left it at the store for a few days but I kept thinking I needed to bring it home. So I did.
I put it on my desk and didn't think much about it, until that night.
I was sitting in my recliner in my bedroom playing a game, it was late and everyone else was in bed. My curtain whipped to one side.
My door was closed, my window was closed, there was nothing to create a draft.
I start seeing movement in my room around me, curtain kept getting moved, noises are starting, floor boards are creeking like someone is pacing behind me.
And then I start feeling like the back of my chair is being punched, over and over. It felt like a fist slamming into the chair and hitting my back.
I started praying and it laughed. I kept praying and then told it, it wasn't welcome. Nothing worked, it kept going and it was terrifying.
I got up and ran to my parents room to wake my mom because she's been having paranormal experiences her whole life so I figured she might be able to help in some fashion. But I couldn't wake her up, she was snoring lightly and just not coming around at all.
I slowly went back, prayed some more hoped it would go away. After maybe 40 minutes or so, it settled down and then stopped entirely.
I took the jar back to the shop the next day and that was the end of it but I'll never forget that.
The majority of the experiences I've had, have been good or at worst, intense but these were just some of the bad ones.
What was your most WTF experience(s)

2024.05.02 17:45 HisCapawasDetated Restaurant reception recommendations
I had posted last month asking for photo locations for an elopement. Now we are having an actual wedding with family coming in. It’s a micro wedding with 17 people in total, including us. We want to have a private dinner at a nice restaurant in downtown Pensacola. It would essentially be a reception, but without having to get vendors involved. I want this to be as stress free as possible. I don’t wanna worry about decor and all the minute details a reception entails.
We will be asking for reception menu prices and I’d like to compare cost. I’ve been looking at reviews of restaurants, but I think it’s best to ask locals for recommendations. So, which restaurants don’t suck? We’re foodies. We are not interested in BBQ restaurants or Cajun. We’re so sick of that since that’s already abundant where I live. That’s the only thing we are steering clear from.

2024.05.02 17:42 Abnaxis Why is slow-cooking in a vacuum bag not a thing?
DISCLAIMER: On a second read, I realize this post sounds a lot snarkier and mean-spirited than I meant it to. It's not meant to be an angry rant, so please read it with a Seinfeld stand-up or Peter Griffin "You know what grinds my gears?" voice.
I like the idea of putting food in a slow-cooker, letting it do its thing for a few hours, and opening it up and eating what it cooked. Shove some meat and some veggies and some seasoning into a pot and wait until a not-super-yummy-but-serviceable meal comes out.
The problem is, it ALWAYS smells better than it tastes. All the flavor winds up in the watestock instead of in the food. "Ah!" says I, "but what if we just put the food in a bag first. Reduce the quantity of water mixing with the flavors and we'll be much better off! I'm sure you need to make some adjustments to timing because the bag isn't going to conduct heat well and the meat needs to excrete its juice before the temperature in the bag becomes normalized, but I'm sure either Google or Reddit can sort me out!"
Neither Google nor Reddit can sort me out.
If you go onto
slowcooking and search about slow-cooking a slow-cooker recipe that's been vacuum-bagged first, the answer is "Um, actually what you are talking about is called 'sous vide.' You're going to want to go talk to the
sousvide people."
If you come here and search about slow-cooking a mixed-item meal that been vacuum-bagged first, y'all put on the thick, black-rim glasses and go "ECKTUALLY, if you want meat that has a painstakingly optimized cook to the platonic ideal of meat doneness, you need to cook it at 54.4°C for 330 minutes, but if you want the same for vegetable you need 74.9°C for at least 240 minutes so I just think you should cook the meat and veggies separately."
Like, friends, I understand you CAN control your temperatures and circulate water to 0.1°C accuracy, but that doesn't mean you HAVE to. I don't want a chef's-kiss dish at no effort, I want my next-to-zero-effort meal to taste slightly better. Also, it misses part of the point, that cooking the veggies with the meat is supposed to impart meat flavor into the veggies.
All that being said, here is what I THINK should work:
- Do the prep for a slow-cooker meal
- Put ingredients--including veggies and sauces--in a bag and seal. Maybe add an ice cube or a small (<1 tsp) bit of (unrendered? frozen?) fat in there to promote everything getting up to temp quicker since it's in a bag
- Cook bag in water like it's a slow cooker meal. (Maybe?) set it to either "low" or "high" depending on how you're feeling. (Maybe?) add a couple hours for the food in the bag to conduct heat through it.
- When the cooking is done, scoop all the stuff out of the bag, leaving the liquid in there.
- (Optional) You conveniently have all your drippings in a plastic bag, so you can use the plastic-bag-fat-separator trick to separate to fat from the juices and use your fat and juices to (choose from the options below):
- Make a roux
- Make gravy
- Make sauce
- Make soup base
- (Optional) Make some rice, noodles, processed potatoes, or broth, stir in your cooked food for a low effort imitation stew/stroganoff/jambalaya/"skillet" meal.
Step 5 is optional, but ensures everything that goes into the bag goes into your food--no more left-behind flavors. Step 6 is also optional, but gives you some needed bulk.
The above is basically a "no-dish" meal until you get to step 5--the slow cooker only has water in it. Just dry it off and put it back on the shelf. All of the parenthetical maybes are things I was hoping to Google around and find people's experience with, but IT DOESN'T EXIST.
There's no way my mediocre-cook-on-a-good-day self thought of cooking this way, and a million other people aren't already doing it for no good reason. One of two things is happening here.
Option 1: I'm trying to do something that falls outside of the norms of established communities dedicated to cooking meat in water. The slow-cookers say "you're doing sous vide so go pound sand." The sous-vide-ers have dedicated considerable effort to refining technology in order to very precisely and meticulously cook food to a perfect doneness, and aren't particularly interested in mixing their bags. Slow cooking in a bag sits in a no-mans land between the two communities.
Option 2 (more likely): My idea is so blindingly, obviously dumb that nobody else bothered to bring it up.
WHICH IS IT,
SOUSVIDE?

2024.05.02 17:31 ThrowRA_anonymous11 Official 5 Month Update - what’s helped me so far to get to this point… toddler formula…
Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing well on your healing journey. You can see my original post here:
https://www.reddit.com/covidlonghaulers/s/q8iEdcJbtv - once again please keep your negative comments regarding my experience with my long covid to yourself.
After many doctor’s appointments in the last two months, we’ve basically come to the conclusion that I had vagus nerve damage due to the covid virus. I wasn’t able to eat solid foods up until mid-April. I was having histamine responses. I had SIBO, hydrogen dominant only, as well but not sure if that was something prior. We treated it with Septra.
I’m able to eat solids now. HUGE. I still have issues with texture but basically no food is off limits except red bell peppers for some reason and it gives me a reaction that nothing else has so not sure about that. I physically couldn’t have my body do the motion to swallow foods for the first two months. Then was able to do puree. Now I can eat but takes me a really long time.
I still don’t have much of an appetite at all and food is just meh. But that’s probably because I’ve lived off of puréed potato soup for a few months lol. Maybe.
POTS symptoms are almost “gone” but that is an extremely new improvement within like 14 days so gone is a loose term. The last 14 days I’ve made a lot of improvement and I genuinely think it’s from adding in this toddler formula.
That being said, yes toddler formula. I actually came across it while looking for a lactoferrin supplement and mind you I can’t swallow solids so I can’t swallow pills. I bought it about two months ago but was scared I would have a histamine response.
1% better every day. I would add in one new food and hope to not have a reaction and was positive. Finally tried the toddler formula and it’s helped immensely. I’ve always suspected I had MTHFR as well but my doctor and I can’t run the test because my insurance won’t cover it. This formula also has methylfolate.
I’ve also focused on decreasing my inflammation. So here’s everything I’m currently doing to heal that is working for me:
- daily walk at least 5k steps if I can
- toddler formula (a2, grass fed by growth spurt)
- fish oil liquid (carlson’s finest fish oil)
- daily low-dose aspirin with yogurt to coat stomach
- zyrtec (2.5mL morning and night)
- tylenol suppositories (was having stomach issues and can’t swallow solids so I tried it on a whim and it helped my headaches)
- LOTS of kefir with lemon juice and honey (literally a bottle a day for a while)
- decaf hot black coffee
- treating the sibo with septra
- therapy to manage my anxiety
- time
Pepcid, PPIs made me a million times worse so I figured let me do the opposite and add acids into my diet and it’s helped a lot. Personally I think my root of long covid was due to being on a PPI while contracting covid for this 8th time. Not having stomach acid to burn away the virus and in turn having a very terrible case.
I would say I’m 90% better and it’s officially been 5 months since my first ER visit with covid on Jan 2nd. I understand that some of you have had long-covid for much longer and I empathize with you. I think that for some, the root of long covid is going to be different. If I can help at least a few people out, that would be incredible. Happy Healing ❤️🩹

2024.05.02 17:30 kinubug Go-To Meals: Hidden Veggies
What are some of your go-to meals that your toddler loves? I would love some inspiration and ideas!
My 21 month old boy loves:
Waffles! I make a big batch and freeze it when they’re done cooking in a mini waffle maker These could also be mini muffins or pancakes 2 bananas mashed 1 shredded zucchini 1 egg 1 cup Kodiak protein pancake mix Water to the right consistency
Scrambles I add spinach and cheddar as his usual. But will mix it up with sausage, bell peppers and cheese.
Spaghetti I freeze a Rao’s jar of sauce in those silicone portion containers so it’s ready to heat up Whole wheat pasta Mix spinach in with the sauce
Chicken nuggets (of course) We will try the lightly breaded nuggets from Costco as soon as the regular bag we have runs out. I’ve tried making my own with hidden veggies, but he doesn’t like them

2024.05.02 17:29 FlorDeLunaa How I’m curbing Binges rn
Hey everyone, as many of you I’m sure can relate: I have gone through almost every diet, tip & trick in the book. Nothing helped.
January I started a “new chapter” where I decided I would work on my discipline and take fitness classes weekly to support my goals maybe even balance out my caloric intake…
It’s led to an interest in juicing .. now I’ll tell you, this shit is ROUGH. But physically I feel incredible. - I took the advice of another user on Reddit. My initial commitment was for a 10 day fast, but on day two I was suffering I felt like defeat like a quitter. I wanted to binge I had to binge…. I ordered bbq, but you know something I barely ate. I don’t even think I can categorize it as a binge, but my Ed does. My ED also calls this having failed, but my intuition doesn’t.
A Reddit user suggested starting with 1 day juice fasts (eat every other day) getting comfortable with that 1 day and progressively adding 1 by 1.
Im happy to report, eating fruits and vegetables, and these large quantities I never would be able to binge is making me feel incredibly right in my body, I feel lighter I feel thin I feel energetic, I feel clean. I still have the urge to binge but the effect this juice is having on me seems to be DECRESING THE SIZE and intensity of my binge.
To me that’s a goddamn miracle, so I wanted to share all of this with you… It’s not easy but for me it’s made a hell of a difference. I hope it helps you too.
