Im looking for a roleplay that’s long term. 26 yr female here. I want it to have plot twist, story based, and dark romance, and manipulative, betrayal. Too make it more interesting. I can write 2-4 sentences to a paragraphs to two paragraphs. I expect my partner to write the same amount. It can be detailed but not too detailed. This will be in first person for both parties. Strictly roleplay. No one liners. No incest or anything taboo. So don't even ask.

I honestly wanted to get this off my chest because it’s been bothering me for a while. A person I went to high school with I thought I could create a friendship with them. For two years he would look at me and not interact with me at all. Then one day I decided to talk and initiate. It always seemed like I had to say hi or hey but he would say hey back with an annoyed tone of voice. I would notice it with me but around his friends he was much kinder to them. Sometimes he would talk to me and other days he would ignore my presence. This stung because I didn’t know who to talk about it with or who to go to. I would ask my therapist what I was doing wrong and she would proceed to say “ you have to talk to him” ask him why it’s bothering you. It was like I’m talking to an invisible wall. Recently he had a showing which was cool I tried to support him still got ignored. I thought I could break the ice by getting him some flowers. I guess he liked them? I think he just took them out of pity. So I thought hey he wants to be friends. But no I was wrong. One day I followed him on social media and thinking he would follow back. It appeared that he blocked me. He said he didn’t and got really snappy if I tried to ask. Now it’s the end of my college career and it feels like I’m back to square one. I wanted to get this off my chest because o just feel he hates me. There would be days where I would shutdown and cry because it hurt. I tried hugging him yesterday and he didn’t want to return it. So I just left without saying anything to him. So if you read this thanks for ignoring me for the past six years of my life because that’s truly what friends are for right? Just tell how much you dislike me instead of pretending. Because of this I don’t want to make friends as this has been hurtful for quite a while. Can’t win them all I guess. Leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Salam all, I’m 23, I would say my life is comfortable for me (mentally specifically) so my only reason to marry is for a strong partner, affection, romance, to rely on him (for him to thrive in his masculinity and me femininity) which means I have no interest in marriage if it’s a downgrade from the comfort my family provides الحمد لله, which was the case when my hand is asked. Basically I wanted to give a quick introduction about myself which will outline my interests and disinterests in a future husband, (the post might be long as I have to write examples because everyone has different views and I’d like to avoid misunderstandings), my number one priority - STABILITY. I’m talking about all aspects of stability 1.Religious stability- I’m not even going into basics because that’s a given, supporting each other into understanding the Quran and listening to lectures and so on 2. Financial - it’s up and down with money BUT he takes care of the finances no matter what with no lazy attitude 3.emotional stability - emotional intelligence and patience and strong personality to set boundaries when families especially cross them (we have to respect our family members but he wants to enforce boundaries and has his own opinion not spineless agreeing only for the reason his parents suggested something for example), I have ADD which requires a MAN not a boy to put in the effort to understand and learn about it.

So I (21M, Indian) attended a marriage earlier this year and apparently some girl around my age has shown interest and her family has expressed interest in nikah to my family after I graduate. My family has obviously not told me who this person is, because apparently I won’t be able to hold it in my pants if I see even a single strand of female hair according to our beloved prophet. But regardless, I declined and my dad actually agreed with me saying I am too young for this.
Things were going well for past month or so until my sister randomly asked me why I declined, and I basically said I don’t want to marry a religious person. Now in hindsight telling her the truth wasn’t a bright idea, because this has raised alarm bells in my family. I am being accused of having a gf (I don’t) or being gay (I’m as straight as a pole) or being an apostate (bingo!). I have denied all those accusations (closeted ex-muslim) but my dad wants to get me married early now and I am freaking out. My dad has already ruined my sister’s life by hurriedly marrying her off to a religious narcissist and I believe I will and up having to live the rest of my life with a someone similar. He has already booked my flight to Saudi Arabia this summer to ‘discuss something serious in person’ which can be anything from a lecture to a marriage proposal.
I honestly don’t know what to do. I will obviously reject any proposals for now but eventually I do want to be in a monogamous marriage once I complete my masters and earn decent. At the same time, I love my family and won’t be cutting them off either. So a marriage of convenience seems to be the only good option where we remain closeted ex-muslims anytime we are around each others’ families. Has anyone else gone through this? I've worked as an Ambulatory analyst for the last 6 years and have been tossing around the idea of starting a new chapter in my career, one with a heavier tech component (software engineering, machine learning, NLP, for example) and a little less healthcare IT. I've been debating going back to school for a Master's of Computer Science the past 5 months or so. I partly fear making a change this drastic (I'm in my late 30s) and then regretting it, given well Epic roles pay in general.
I became aware of an Epic Technical related position at my organization and got curious. I've never done much work in BCA or downtime strategy but am willing to learn. From my perspective, it seems like a way to start getting exposure to harder tech fields (cybersecurity, data center migration, software deployment, etc. ) without completely throwing out my Epic background. Obviously I would lose a lot of exposure to clinical workflows, but I also think there's some interesting stuff to be learned in this role that could help me determine my career path.

2024.05.17 11:32 Ok-Meringue5975 M25 broke up with girlfriend F23 2 months ago. Still not being able to move on. How do I stop thinking about her?
It has been close to 50 days since we had a fight and she said me to get out of her life. We stopped talking like we used to that day. It was an ugly argument. There's career pressure, her personal stuff and a lot of things going on in her life and she felt I was burdening her and making things hard for her. She decided she doesn't want to do that but somehow it turned into an ugly argument. She said mean things. I got emotional. I said somethings too and she completely shut me off. We didn't talk at all for about a month. I tried but she was still infuriated and she said she's happy without me and asked me to not bother her again. I decided to do that. But then we started talking again in April end. Ofc it's not like it used to be. It's very formal. She doesn't reply like she used to. Takes hours to reply and it's totally consuming me. I'm exhausted mentally. We don't talk daily but even of we do.... it's like I don't matter to her anymore. But for me she still is very important. I'm thinking about her the whole day and it's mentally exhausting. Idk what she's doing In her life or how she really is. I have no idea and she doesn't wanna open up let alone restart things with me. So I don't know what I am doing. I don't know why am I not able to move on. When I think of comfort, I think of her. But the moment I think of her, I feel sad because she's not here anymore. What should I do? I won't say I really want to move on because I'm still hopeful. I'm still holding on. There are no grudges but I'm still holding on. But I also know that this is over and she's not interested anymore. I really am struggling. What should I do?

idek know how to start this. Last time i posted on this sub, one of my friends came around and gave me another chance, i rekindled a friendship with someone i havent talked to in a year and someone dm'd me. I cant help but think that they're tolerating my existence or see some benefit to talking to me. I feel like it's me maybe im not interesting enough, maybe im a shitty friend, maybe i should just suck it up and face the fact that it's me. At my current state of mind i shouldn't even be thinking about friendship or romance. I just realized how much i've changed since 2 years ago and idk if my change is positive or negative but some old friends say they cannot believe that this is the person i've become when they found out about my drug usage. I try not to let the past affect my future, but sometimes i dont want a future when i think about all my shameful memories and thoughts. What am i even talking about?? 1. Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer very original! But reading about someone who is a scientist, but also very much a spiritual person really hit home. They always felt like two separate worlds, but they fit together beautifully.
- Of Blood and Bones: Working with Shadow Magick & the Dark Moon by Kate Freuler Made me realise that witchcraft is not only sunshine and flowers or hexes and curses. You can use the darker stuff too, without going around cursing people. Life is a cycle, and sometimes you want a flowercrown and pretty candles, and sometimes you want hag energy and skulls to get shit done. I don't actually use most of the recipes and rituals presented in the book, but it gave me a lot of inspiration to broaden my practice.
- The Witch at the Forest's Edge: Thirteen Keys to Modern Traditional Witchcraft by Christine Grace is a book about Hedgewitchcraft. I started listening to the audiobook and ordered the paper copy before I even finished it. I already jokingly called myself a hedgewitch because when I go out in nature, most of my time will be spent literally in the hedge. Listening to this book I realised the Hedgeriding part is actually something that greatly interest me. Letting go of my scientific rational self and daring to jump into the unknown.

We all love a good Layer 2 products, they offer interesting solutions to existing ETH problems. You could argue that they are not actually necessary if Ethereum's mainnet evolves enough to meet its scalability problems and high fees during "rush hours" which is probably the most important aspect for most users.
What are your thoughts on this?

- Inherent security: ETH's layer 1 is already highly secure due to decentralised nature. By relying on Layer 1 improvements, we can make sure that all transactions benefit from this high level of security without relying on potentially less secure Layer 2 solutions.
- Simple user experience: Using only the base layer simplifies the user experience. Layer 2 project require users to understand and manage additional protocols, bridges, shuttles etc. which can be very complex and super user-unfriendly. I personally shit bricks every single time I have to bridge something. I only made one mistake once and lost $50 by bridging stuff incorrectly and I was super angry about it. Luckily it was on a testnet and I didn't lose a penny, but man I would be pissed if this happened to me on a live service. A highly scalable Layer 1 solution with low fees would make interactions with ETH ecosystem much easier for users to engage with the Ethereum network. Why do I have to have like 10 different networks on my bloody Metamask? It's just a messy user experience.
- One big liquidity pool for everyone: Staying on Layer 1 makes it that all assets and decentralised apps operate within a single, unified ecosystem. People don't need to bridge assets across multiple layers, they don't fragment the market further and they don't dilute the liquidity pools across multiple layers. From the liquidity perspective it just makes more sense to keep it all in once place.
- It reduces complexity for developers: Developers can focus on building their applications directly on Ethereum without needing to account for Layer 2 solutions. This reduces development complexity, developers can better use their resources, and accelerate innovation instead of wasting time building multiple layers of compatibility.
- Sustainable growth: If Ethereum's base layer can handle more transactions efficiently, it can support a growing number of users and applications without relying on external solutions. It's more sustainable for the long-term growth by continuously improving the core protocol. Instead we have people jumping from one protocol to another.
