As Dawntrail draws ever the closer, we are looking to recruit like-minded players to join our static!
A little about us
We came together towards the end of last tier, most of us having resubbed late due to RL reasons. After finishing Anabaseios, we set our sights on TOP with the goal to clear before the next expansion drops—some of us also have other Ultimate clears under our belt. We have extensive Savage raiding experience, aiming for at least purple parses with week one/week two clears for historical raid tiers. Unfortunately, not everyone from our Ultimate group aligned with our goals/time so we're seeking to recruit and fill our missing roles.
What we're looking for
People who are dedicated and can make raid times, putting progression and the challenge first and foremost. As avid players, we are always looking to improve and put in the effort to come to raid ready and prepared. With that being said, we're also working adults and *very* drama-free—toxicity of any kind is not welcomed or appreciated. We strive to prog and clear above all else while respecting people's lives, making the most out of the hours during prog. However, this doesn't mean that we don't put fun first—we're all pretty chill and enjoy spending time outside of raid together (absolutely no pressure if that isn't for you), but we also know when to focus up when needed. With that being said, we would appreciate:

Previous Savage experience, Ultimates a big plus.
Coming to raid ready and prepared.
Proactiveness in improving and understanding your job.
Open to constructive criticism and improvement (it goes both ways!).
Mic is preferred, but we're fine with no mic as long as you're constantly communicating.
Proof of past experience and job competence through FFLogs as we're looking to clear week one.

Times
NOTE: WE ARE PST!
Week 1: 4-6 hours a night on weeknights; degen it on the weekends.Week 2+: 3 hours a night, 3 days a week.
Exact hours are open to discussion, but our goal is to clear week one and we will be doing as many hours as possible during that time to achieve this. At the moment, PTO is not planned so we will be reviewing VODs and strategies ahead of time so we can clear as fast as possible. I personally may be entering PF with an alt to get practice as soon as the tier drops. We are also looking to move on to Eden Ultimate when it drops later on this year.

I am a software engineer (SWE) and I was making a professional networking app for this company.
I was connecting it to their existing Wordpress site via APIs.
They fired me claiming I didn’t know the language I was writing in (boss wasn’t a dev and didn’t know it existed before me), I didn’t know WP APIs (connecting this way isn’t documented well and was my first time so I had trouble but I got it done in the end), and lied in the interview about my skills.
I was there for 2 months. Shitty place. There were other red flags that I chose to ignore.
I feel like I wasted time I could have been using looking for more reliable job while I was working there.
Now I feel hopeless, like I’ll never get a stable job, and pissed off.
My background is: I’ve been programming since I was 13. Started with HTML/CSS + PHP blog and moved to WordPress and then MySQL and now I’ve dabled in react, angular, MSSQL and all the C langs. I’m trying to be well rounded. Professionally, I got my degree in 2013 as an IT Management which didn’t require higher level math or an internship and then never used the degree cause I’m an idiot. (Though I don’t fully regret it because I met my husband)
I was retail until 2022 when I got a 11-month SWE job but they wanted senior and I was fully honest about being JR. fired me. That was last year. Since then I worked for another company that barely paid me enough to live. So I moved from FL to Austin, TX and got another job in December. That one I got in August or September. So only a few months. The one in December laid me off in Feb due to financial issues (supposedly). Said they would hire me back though.
Then I was unemployed for a month and got this last job in March.
So I have a spotty professional career but I have been practicing and learning so much in my free time that I consider myself a senior front end SWE and JR back end SWE or JR full stack SWE.
Been applying for jobs over the last 2 weeks but I know the market is crap.
I’m worried I’ll run out of TX unemployment and then have to get retail jobs which will barely pay me enough to live.
We don’t live extravagant. Husband has celiac disease. We shop at Whole Foods but frequently check prices between HEB and Walmart and target and everywhere else is more expensive for what we get. We stick with chicken and shrimp and salads mostly.
All our expenses are the lowest they can be. We rarely eat out and don’t spend money on things we don’t need. Husband is very frugal and isn’t even getting his hair cut until I have a job. I don’t cut my hair or do my nails or do any of that girly crap. I hate coffee so we don’t spend on that stuff either.
We frequently make sure our bills/expenses are as low as possible.
Yet $50k a year or less after taxes will not sustain us. Husband has Autism so can’t work. Once I get a job he plans to sell coral so he will have some income and he has some disability from the VA but that’s it.
My last job was paying us $100k and we barely saved $1k/mo due to expenses. Again nothing changed between then and now. We spend the same amount.
So now I feel like I’m gonna have to get 2 jobs if I don’t get a job and I’ll never see my husband and I don’t want to live like that.
How do I deal with the disappointment of being fired for a lie and not having a stable job/income ? I feel like I’m drowning.

My account have both the GPTs store and GPT4o since yesterday, and I saw a lot of people that doesn't have it so I will summarize the 2 biggest problem for free user I had with them: GPTs one:
It's an awfully useless feature. You only have 5 use and you can't generate an image, programming apps are not as useful GPT4o was with the same question

I have this code for connect to my bluetooth earbuds "Xiaomi Buds 3T Pro" using java. I want Java to detect if I use one of the press button of my earbuds

The code as it was ONLY WAS ABLE TO CONNECT to bluetooth. No other code included
As far as I looked into, this question is impossible to answer because Xiaomi doesn't allowed individuals to give a way to, unless I code it by myself THAT I CAN'T DO, be able to let a Java code interact with the specific earbuds
What they answered me rougthly :

GPT3.5 : Go to device manager and select Xiaomi Buds 3T Pro. Find the parameter named "UUID" and find a UUID that's contain "Press Control Id". Copy paste into the code as (shows me a new method he created)
GPTs : I can't do that
GPT-4o : This may seems impossible, but have a look for some SDK published by Xiaomi. They probably didn't put it online, but if you found some, you may be able to find what you are looking in a zip file

I sent to GPT-4o the only one zip file I found, asked him to look out if the bluetooth connexion I'm looking for exist, it doesn't, but GPT-4o "considerated" the file was may including the connexion, so created me a probable code to make the connexion work, I didn't even tried to launch the code because I read the file before he did and even the given structure of the file wasn't the same as the real zip structure of the file.
GPTs WON'T try to give you an answer. and you can't even use it to generate image using your daily 5 request, so it seems, for me, very useless. I stopped trying GPTs after 10 tries
GPT-4o biggest problem for free user is that you won't have priority against Plus I did 30 tries this time, and number will be better to express what I mean
On 15 tries I wrote note about, almost only 3 had a less than 1 second wait before starting writing and ending writing in less than 10 seconds, 10 were "slow" with writing around 10-20 seconds The worst, 2 tries were lost because the chat crashed before the interesting part. The first try I did was at a speed of around 5 letters per second, but the last I did 15 minutes ago, he started me writing again A WHOLE java code I did, but didn't even write something I could use, and crashed in the import part of the code
The worst about the last try is that it was so slow (around 1 letter per second), that I just left my computer 3 minute to celebrate my brother birthday, the code was only starting writing the import part of the code, and then crashed some minutes ago.
I'm sorry for that, but if OpenAI don't want Free users to use their service, they just remove the whole free plan instead of giving very bad service

preface: this is compilation of tl;dr general tips that i feel get undermentioned in general guides and that i wish i knew when i started playing, from my personal experience as a casual player who has been playing for less than a year. it is NOT comprehensive guide.
i refer to casual players as anyone who doesn't regularly (NOT the same as frequently) play the game, doesn't take part in every event, generally doesn't bother with/even know more complicated techniques, etc.
feel free to share any tips you also wish you knew as a beginner and i'll try to add as many as i can (with credit of course)!

non-gameplay

this game is NOT beginner friendly.
- premium boxes cost A LOT and there is no pity/guarantee system**.
therefore, PLANNING AHEAD and PRE-FARMING COINS are key to obtaining your desired tsums.
- someone will usually post the following month's calendar near the end of the month which shows all the tsum available that following month and their availability periods.
- u/MalibuDan posts monthly tsum evaluations at the start of every month as well, VERY HELPFUL in deciding whether or not to pull for a specific tsum.
finish the colouring book cards for max skill level gadget hackwrench.
- this will be your best coin farming tsum at the start, and if you just get unlucky trying to get a better one.
LINK YOUR LINE ACCOUNT AND ADD FRIENDS. this subreddit has a monthly line id thread for this.
- adding friends through line is ESSENTIAL to maintaining a steady supply of hearts.
- linking your line account also just ensures you never lose your progress as long as you have your line account.
many recommended tsums require a certain skill level to start function optimally.
- the specific skill level is not always explicitly mentioned, do your own research.
- there are a lot of videos on yt showcasing tsums at different levels that are helpful for this.
only invest in the skill level of tsums you are comfortable using.
- no matter how recommended a tsum is, if you are not comfortable using it, it will perform less efficiently than one you are comfortable with.
- skill leveling is exponential. don't waste precious skill tickets or coins on pulling dupes unless you're sure you will be using the tsum.
a lot of skill descriptions DO NOT list the full skill. DO YOUR RESEARCH.
- e.g. anakin tsum skill description ONLY mentions the short tap for to clear multiple lines of tsums (short chains, good for generating bubbles) and does NOT mention the long directional tap to clear significantly larger line of tsums and bubbles (bigger chain, more score+exp+coins)
- a good indicator is if the tsum is severely under-performing compared to reviews.
yes, you should raise your all your tsums' (score) levels.
- the score level refers to the amount of base score points you gain when clearing that specific tsum. chain multiplier calculates off that tsum's base score points.
- it's necessary to avoid struggling with score-based missions down the line, especially since tsums aside from my tsum are selected at random.
- the level 5 and level 10 cap cost 2k coins to unlock and increase beyond that. max level is 50.
tsums are categorised. my tsum will significantly decrease the chance of spawning tsums in the same category for each game.
- e.g. general colours, round/pointed ears, wears a hat/crown/etc, princess/queen/villain/etc, animals, tsums with variations (mickey, cabbage mickey, daruma mickey, etc), series/franchise (frozen, winnie the pooh, pixar, etc) etc etc etc
- this is more relevant for clearing tsum missions that do not require a specific my tsum.
  - specific my tsum missions will provide a list of tsums you can use and will indicate before starting a game if the my tsum cannot be used for the mission.

**there technically is a guarantee system in that, if you max out a tsum's skill level, they will be removed from the pool. needless to say, it will take VERY LONG to reach any sort of guarantee.

actual gameplay

the try again button in the pause menu simply ends the game. bonus items are NOT refunded.
- saves time if you mess up and know you won't be able to complete a mission.
accuracy > speed.
- avoids wasting time possibly fumbling chains
- longer chains give more score+exp+COINS
save bubbles to trigger fever time or to spawn new tsums for easier / better chains.
- triggering fever time adds +5sec to the timer.
- whether you use gyro or the fan button, repositioning tsums wastes precious time that could be spent on clearing tsums.
if you regain your skill right as the timer is ending:
- if the skill clears tsums (i.e. burst, clears lines, etc), use it before the timer ends.
  - last bonus skill picks a tsum to clear at random, possibly clearing the least number of tsums.
- if the skill does not clear tsums (i.e. friend-calling tsum), leave it for last bonus after the timer ends.
  - you might not have time to clear any tsums after activating the skill and the skill value will be wasted.
  - exception is time stopping/adding skills.
if you are close to completing a mission, it's cheaper to extend the timer (5 rubies) than to make the mission easier (10 rubies) in the card menu.
- of course, this only applies if you only need a bit more to complete the mission, otherwise making the mission easier cuts the mission goal a significant amount.
only use +coin bonus item if you can guarantee 1k+ coin score.
- simple math, you break even or gain less than not using it otherwise.
- basic probability, chances of getting a high multiplier is possible but extremely low. it's also just a waste for the chance to occur with a low coin score.
some skill tickets (most importantly 5>4) are discounted near the end of the month.
- this is an optimal time to farm especially if you have a good coin farming tsum.
- it's also a good time for completing harder missions as 5>4 helps in multiple aspects.

alright so i'm 14f. i'm completely isolated from the outside world apart from school. no phone, no friends, no communication! I do not want to deal with my parents bullshit this summer. I'm going to be bored out of my mind, getting yelled at and abused. they wont take me anywhere, I'll just be isolated in my room for 3 months.
I found this really nice area by a library on Google maps. I'd probably take a bus because it's a long walk. this library claims to offer free food to kids/teens, so i'd only pack 1 bag full of food assuming this couldn't get me caught. i'm not sure where I would shower, there's a gym nearby but I don't really have money. I could get soap and towels from a hotel somewhere. I would sleep in the park and i'd get water from the library. does this sound like a good plan? I don't know, I'd just rather be dead then bear a summer without anything or anyone.

Hey all, I'm 30M working in IT. Debt free, no credit cards on hand.
As I come from tier-2 city, the opportunities have come to an end for me it seems. Been applying across the board since last 6 months, couple of rounds and then no salary offers. Anyways, I'm now facing "gentleman's layoff" this year and many privileges are going away, not only mine - the entire team's.
Have close to 10L in mutual funds, around half of that in FDs, some gold, proudly share the same house with my parents. Will get around 1CR from dad once he shall retire (I'm not keen interested in that part for now, it's just the money that will come and being single child, I get this).
My question is, should I take the risk and jump into entrepreneurship? How much runway I should plan in terms of months of execution or money without generating that first stable income? Have participated in a couple of businesses in the past, failed at '00' in one and minus 2L in other one.
Should I continue searching for a job or start an simple business that I can scale with my IT/marketing skills (which I'm confident I have)?
Asking this as I've been burnt out and the old failures are not letting me take that first step. Please help me navigate!

The 'no fighting' meme stood out to me. Warning the communities against internal strife perhaps? Should we expect there to be a reason for strife?
There was also braveheart dying, shouting GameStop. A meme where we were told not to fear the reaper (song). Lots of references to mirroring and reversal everywhere. There's two of them talking to each other (there's two stocks in play?). With the hindsight of these memes it does seem plausible that the real plan will involve Bobby as the main gambit. I do think Jimmy will run, but I also think the main offense might originate from Bobby.
The Jason Bourne tweet mentions 'i can't run with you, they know who I am' (Jimmy is controlled, all eyes are on it). He says this to the actress who also plays the lead in the Run Lola Run movie. The color on the mini was edited to red with the steering wheel saying "I'm In". But they park the red car and get out. The car is now black as Ryan gosling exits and blends in with the crowd.
The quoted post even mentions "keeping everyone focused on the woman in the red dress" and we have a meme with Emma stone attracting everyone's attention while wearing a GameStop logo.
It feels right to me; these past days short term profiteers with capital have jumped on Jimmy. These are not the kind of people RC wants to reward. Bobby is inaccessible, only available to our crazy lot who dug into the paperwork and went through the bankruptcy deathspiral. There's no possibility for FOMO. The bad guys are all locked in here with us, without an exit.
TLDR; memes warming us up to the idea that bobby is the main play? Jimmy will become a forever hold, being very valuable and worthwhile but not nessecarily giant moass numbers?

I’ve personally always believed that we are all god’s children, not in the sense that we will all go to heaven but he is our creator, so in mind that would mean he is the father of all, not just those who are saved.
I feel like there is a lot of contradicting beliefs about the concept of being god’s children. For instance, Christian’s will say they are against abortion bc that baby is god’s child and he has a plan for their life, but yet a lot of Christian’s also say that no one is a child of god until and unless they are born again and give their lives to Christ, and that point completely contradicts the pro life argument imo, bc both can’t be true. It also doesn’t make sense to say only those who follow Christ are his children, bc one of the biggest and most important teachings of the Bible, is that god creates us in his image, he sees us as his children and he has a plan for our lives before we are even born. Yes, we have free will and we can get on the wrong path but that shouldn’t mean we would no longer be god’s children. If we are his children, then there is nothing we can do to change that. No matter how we turn out, god still created us and loves us.
It’s just very disheartening that some Christian’s don’t believe this, I can honestly say this with all of my being, there is no title or name that does or could ever mean more to me than god’s daughter, bc my entire identity is in Christ, I am nothing without him and knowing I am his, is what gives me a sense of purpose, especially when people disappoint me and damage my self esteem.
Just to clarify, I have been baptized and I do feel like I have given my life to him. But the thing is, I felt his presence and his love long before that, so I do truly believe we are all god’s children, it’s just our choice rather we accept him as our father.

I know how daunting this exam is and happy to share my experience as I know I benefited from these write ups when I was going through it. Passed a few weeks ago with a mid April date, but just getting around to this now.
Prior to dedicated had barely reviewed any material. I only really recalled hematology and repro as they were our last two blocks, and half of sketchy micro as I had done that over winter break.
If I had to give advice, I would say that if you have prestudied just micro and pharm (I do sketchy but in any modality) you will have a comparatively relaxed dedicated as these took a significant time for me.
I had around a 5 week dedicated since I had a trip planned and wanted to stick to it.
First week - downloaded pepper deck for sketchy micro pharm, started working through remaining micro and then a majority of pharm (tried for folder a day but sometimes too much), would read a chapter of first aid each evening (not sure if this helped really)
Second week - wrapped up a majority of pharm late this week and stopped introing regularly. Was beginning uworld blocks and starting in the 50-60s with only content I had read through in first aid + micro/pharm. Finished the first aid read and started doing full random, timed, tutor uworld blocks. Made cards out of incorrects on Anki + related topics/mnemonics I would find online, in first aid, or in dirty medicine. Printed out a 200 box sheet for offline nbmes. Also started listening to goljan on drives and walks here - didn’t get through all but probably around half the lectures over the following weeks in some weak areas.
Third week - kept doing uworld blocks (3 a day was the goal), scores could get into 70s rarely if I got a good block. Watched occasional pathoma or dirty medicine video on topics I felt bad in. Reviewed pathoma 1-3 after missing much of immuno questions in a nbme. I felt very confident on pharm and micro now, physio was ok after first aid and seeing it repeatedly, but weak on pathology still. Was reassured that my scores were ok but I really just felt dumb.
Fourth week - I decided I needed to learn pathology. Set out a 8 day schedule to work through all of pathoma + intro duke pathoma cards + 1 block of uworld daily. This was very ambitious and did not succeed (especially in keeping up with Anki cards) but at least covered cardio, renal, pulm, endo, GI in full and did cards at least twice. I do think this helped. Also started looking through mehlman risk factor, neuroanatomy, msk, and Endo pdfs. Dirty med was great for a biochem review. Kept memorizing a ton of random mnemonics from dirty or first aid using Anki. Uworld blocks could hit 70s pretty frequently.
Fifth week - was really considering pushing. Scores were ok but confidence was in the gutter. I was hitting the equilibrium block of info coming in as fast as I was forgetting it, and realized I just had to go for it. I knew I was weak in some concepts (ex. Msk) but I felt like it wasn’t worth it to me to go through it all and forget something else. Just kept doing uworld to try to get my percentage up and cuz I didn’t know what else to do. Did some sketchy pharm I was missing (lipid drugs, migraines, etc.) since was missing questions on them. Was really only keeping up with mnemonic, anking incorrect cards, and sketchy pharm at this point.
Test - around 3 hours of sleep cuz schedule was shit sleeping at 2am everyday. Though I’m used to low sleep before tests so was fine. Exam felt like uworld blocks. I felt really bad in the 1st, 3rd, 4th blocks since I had flag streaks of 6-7 questions in a row, but I was also not remembering the gimme questions most likely that I was getting right. About 10ish questions that I knew I missed or was like “oh I should study this” and never did like a few days ago. Overall didn’t feel terrible but didn’t feel good and was not confident I passed.
I will say trusting scores is harder than it seems, especially when we see people with good scores fail online. Just understand that there are a lot of uncontrolled factors with anything you see online, but if you are taking your tests in as controlled circumstances as possible then you should try and trust them as much as possible. For people cramming this exam in a few weeks, we are not going to know everything - just be as confident as you can in what you are good in and that will go a long way. And remember that 85%+ people pass this thing, and (if possible in your circumstance) it is not hard to give yourself a fighting chance with a few weeks of full-time committed effort.
