I replaced my hot end after a glob of doom wrecked it. now I'm trying to re-level my bed, but the auto leveling process is randomly failing with a "Probe triggered prior to movement" error. It isn't in the same spot of the bed.
I tweaked my printer.cfg to increase the

horizontal_move_z:50 sample_retract_dist: 50.0 

and it still randomly fails. is the sensor bad? the board bad? I'm at a loss.

I have a motor vehicle accident release form that I found and paid for online, for the purpose of a cash settlement matching the estimate amount to repair my vehicle, as I was involved in an accident that I am not at fault for.
The person who hit my vehicle would like to sign an accident release form, which is perfectly fine, but I would like a clause in the contract that basically states the contract is null and void until the amount owing is paid in full, and that until the amount is paid in full, I retain the rights to make insurance claims or court proceedings.

5/ These days, most people are too busy (physically, psychologically, and emotionally) to notice and pay attention to all the marketing and advertising going on around them. If you want people to pay attention to your business or organization, your marketing needs to show them something they have never seen before. Few products and services are truly unique (at least in the eyes of consumers) and thus marketing must serve the purpose of this “something” that your prospective customers have never seen before. I think the obvious ones would be to expand the pawn/NPC banter and emotes rather than them just sitting there like a powered down T-1000 and having more recipe options for buffs. I am curious what more creative stuff would be good to add that wouldn't be far from feasible or outside the spirit of the game.
I want to emphasize that these things should not make camping more restrictive or bloating but rather add value to interaction. The option of pulling over and passing out to pass the time hassle free should not be removed. In one of my points I started to rant about crafting and figured it would be best to separate that out since it is long winded and applies to all games much moreso than DD2. Ignore this preface on the argument in favor of completely overhauling crafting if that's not something you care about.

.if all i'm doing is pressing button on the environment and hitting confirm to combine in the menu then I feel like I'm balancing spreadsheets more than crafting. At that point I will probably just use mods to get what I need out of tedium exhaustion. When you make the process of something fun, immersive, and engaging, THAT is when you go from mundane and uninspiring to excellent. An easy way to do that is with engaging little mini-games or bits of character interaction within the process. I think any game that has a crafting system these days is just doing it out of obligation and honestly I would prefer it just not be in 90% of games if all they are going to do is make me practice pressing confirm to remove computer pop-ups. So IFyou're going to create a crafting mechanic, let me crush up some berries, mix some bubble fizzy gooey stuff, pour together some science liquids and give me bonouses for getting a rhythm down or coordination mechanic down. TOBE FAIR; I haven't thought of anything more reasonable than little rhythm sequences or phone game level coordination type stuff. I am open to suggestions. Back to the point. Literally if you just make it auto-animate my character using a pestle&mortar or shaking up some vials as I move my cursor on over 3D models of the resources I collected layed out in my camp then the added immersion and visual aesthetic is worth way more than the efficiency of what I will refer to as spreadsheet stat crafting. Like at that point just prompt an IDE or cmd prompt and let me run a script to craft my variables so I can get back to the game. So all this to say; I think if Itsuno/Capcom want to have a crafting system. Spend the effort in making an actual system or something worth engaging in like Monster Hunter World's Bacooking menu which is briliantly done imo. The camping mechanic such as it is in DD2 right now could be a great platform for that.

My thoughts;

• I think it would be kind of cool if there was little bit of a mini-game akin to monster hunt to get optimal cooking
• It would be cool to have the amount of firewood you collect and consume to set up camp overnight = the likelihood of getting attacked at night. You could also have your pawn run out and get X amount of firewood while you cook or have your pawn cook while you collect firewood. The more they do either of those things the better their own yields will be. Perhaps expanding to more camp chores that bring actual value rather than making camping more bloated.
• Discuss strategy with your pawn telling it to focus on certain priorities or materials or however you want to expand the pawn interaction system
• Trap/device building and overall crafting. We have things like the harpy flare, wakestone finder, meat usable as bait. We don't need an overbloated crafting system but I think it would be cool to craft or repair simle devices like these in camp and possibly expand them to be a little more rewarding. Perhaps that's just getting to be too similar to Monster Hunter, but I love Monster Hunter so I accept that criticism and don't find it a bad thing. A bit more on crafting in the top portion of post since this is where it turned into a whole rant.
• Lastly, it's a small thing, and I don't want it turning into full on house or crafting/survival level home decor planning, but it would be nice to have a few camp decrations build up as you go on your adventures. Think like Persona 5 lvl just a few things of memorabilia get automatically added in or around your tent. (this could be cooly applied to your house as well with stuff like a monster trophys) tell me your ideas. Or shit on mine if you got nothing and just want to tell me to go buy The skims: skyrim cooking dogma crossing 3; Camp chores fantasy rather than offer critiques of DD2

The last week saw a bunch of high-profile cyberattacks on giant players in the cryptocurrency industry with a particular focus on DeFi platforms, crypto-hedge funds and other blockchain-based services.

1. Sonne Finance’s million Flashlash loan attack

Sonne Finance, a typical lending/borrowing platform, was built on Compound and deployed on Optimism, a Layer-2 chain. However, there came a flash loan attack which affected their protocol.
Attackers took advantage of the bugs in the protocol and bypassed the flash loan function to drain more than $20 million in several seconds. Through these loans, the hackers managed to manipulate the liquidity pools of the protocol and hence created massive financial harm which could only be stopped after it was detected.
Sonne Finance in cooperation with its White Hat hacker community and Blockchain security experts is on the way to tracing the stolen funds and solving the mistakes that were exploited.

2. BlockTower Capital: Partial Funding Drain

Blocktower Capital, one of the big players in crypto financial investment managing worth about $1.7 billion in assets were victim to a massive breach in their security system.
A major setback was the loss and half drain of its main hedge fund through the action of fraudsters. The exact quantity of funds of the scam is concealed, nevertheless, the fraud surely has forced the firm to look towards engaging Blockchain forensic analysts for further investigation.

3. ALEX Lab: $4.3 million loss to weaknesses in private key storage

ALEX lab, a DeFi bitcoin application, lost $4.3 Million of tokens. The assault specifically attacked the bridge service of BTC and consumed $300,000 k worth of Bitcoin, $3.3 million in stablecoins and $75,000 in Sugar Kingdom (SKO) tokens.
After the detected breach, ALEX Lab is cooperating with experts to make it through its implementations and changes to its key management systems.

4. Predy Finance: $464,000 contract vulnerability exploit

Predy Finance, the DEX on the Aribtrum chain, has been attacked due to its contract flaw – resulting in the breach of $464,000 from their lending pool.
The hackers discovered a vulnerability in the Predy Finance smart contracts allowing them to steal considerable values leaving the system and the authorities to that problem. They knew what to do only when the issue was detected and by that time the assets had been drained already.
Predy Finance had stopped operations to identify and resolve the contract issues and the losses caused by those security flaws. To identify and fix the flaws of the smart contract they coordinated with blockchain security auditors and their collaboration for successful smart contracting.

5. Pump. fun: $2 million misappropriation from a previous employee

There was a massive SOL token compromise in Pump.fun when a former platform employee stole more than $2 million worth of digital assets. The employee had benefited from the prominent role that granted them unrestricted access to the vault’s custody.
This exploit utilised flash loans on Solana lending protocol to take the borrowing of SOL, trade them for different coins to cause their values on bonding curves to go up to 100%, and then sell the coins to get the liquidity that they use to repay the flash loans.
Pump. cheap resumed by its zero-fee trading for the immediate next seven days to repair the trust of the users. The site has underscored its commitment to loading seeding liquidity pools on Raydium for the impacted coins and providing consumers with assets back.
Indeed, the events that unfolded during the past seven days have once more brought the multi-faced and dynamic nature of cyber risks leading to the crypto sphere to the forefront.
The spectrum of illustrious flash loan exploits to the intruder threat and contract vulnerabilities revealed the significance of constant improvement in security practices, active monitoring and critical auditing actions for the ultimate object of asset protection.

It's been a little while, so time to repost this:
On principle I would say just don't buy a Razer product, but if you are going to, make sure you buy it directly from them, they have a loophole in the warranty policy so they don't have to honor claims for most products purchased on Amazon. I got a Razer Naga X as a gift for my birthday, and after about a year it developed a bunch of scroll wheel bounce (going up when I scroll down and vice-versa) and then one of the thumb buttons stopped registering consistently, so I filed a support ticket, and they told me they wouldn't be honoring the manufacturer's warranty b/c it was sold by an 'unauthorized reseller'. The problem is that it was bought on Amazon (which IS listed as an authorized reseller - my girlfriend, who purchased it, had made sure to check that) but apparently there are TONS of '3rd party sellers' that make up the vast majority of the Amazon listings, even Prime listings (something I didn't even know until all of this) and apparently that gives them a loophole to not honor the warranty. I did a search on Amazon for the same mouse, and it wasn't till the 7th result that I found one that wasn't through one of these storefronts. Most of these storefronts are 'Amazon' sales anyways, it's a way for Amazon to outsource the work of creating listings and marketing without hiring people as actual employees - the 'seller' doesn't store or ship the product - all of that is Amazon - they are just getting a cut of the sale for creating the posting/bringing in business. And, by the way, none of this came up when I successfully registered the mouse on the Razer website upon receiving it.
The entire attempt at the warranty claim was a huge mess that took over six weeks, with a TON of back and forth where they promised to take care of me, only for that to be vetoed by the back office (at least three or four different times as the ticket got escalated) ... First, they told me that I had to contact the seller, that they had first obligation on a replacement, but I was told "I guarantee that we have your back on this" and to come back to Razer support if the seller declined to replace it or didn't respond. Well, the seller didn't respond, and when I contacted Razer again, they said 'Sorry, sucks to be you' (paraphrase, lol).
So... I did a bit of research to see if that was even legal and found an instance where someone raised a stink on Reddit and Razer ended up replacing their device... so I did the same thing; the official Razer account quickly reached out and reopened the ticket, support contacted me asking for a photo of the mouse to verify the serial number (and said they'd process the replacement if the number checked out - which it did)... two days later I got a response saying.. they'd get back to me in two days. Another two days later I got another email saying 'Sorry, that's out of the warranty period' (it's not, it was slightly over one year into a two year warranty) I responded with proof of this, their reply completely ignored the warranty timeframe issue and just went back to the 'unauthorized reseller' line. They also told me that there was no repair option, but if I subscribe to their newsletter I can get $10 of my next purchase and a whole bunch of other marketing spam, which was just salt in the wound if you ask me. I contacted the Reddit account again to tell them how useless and frustrating that had been and they responded that I should "keep replying so the ticket doesn't auto-close from inactivity"... pretty pointless if you ask me since they are dead set on not honoring the warranty. I did keep the ticket open for a while anyways, but they started to auto-respond with the same boilerplate response.
Every other warranty claim I have ever made has been based on the serial number and whether the defect was the result of misuse or happened through normal use. This has been the most absurd experience I've ever had with a company's customer support / warranty department; I certainly will never do business w/ Razer again, and I'd recommend the same to everyone else.
Apparently, they want my experience to be an example of their customer experience, since, in their own words: "as much as we would like to proceed in replacing your device, we're afraid that the Warranty Policy we have in place is too important, as it will remind all customers that Razer has exclusions and limitations on its warranty." So... I'm going to continue to share it with as many people as I can. The ironic thing is that they have probably spent more money on payroll dealing with me than they would have if just honored the warranty in the first place (and they would have continued to get positive word-of-mouth from me instead of these PSAs - I'm quite active in the endgame community of a major MMO, I host a lot of training runs and am constantly recommending that new player go get an MMO mouse for all the extra buttons - I used to sing praises about Razer mice before this, my first Razer mouse lasted almost eight years - but now I tell them to get anything but a Razer)

Fox Business has an interesting article today on the issue plaguing us all - car insurance rate increases.
Consumer prices rose by 0.3% in April, and while many factors like rent and groceries contributed to this, auto insurance saw one of the most significant increases. Auto insurance premiums jumped by 1.8% in April alone, leading to a total annual increase of 22.6%—the fastest yearly rate ever recorded.
Compared to the beginning of 2021, motor vehicle insurance is now over 50% more expensive. The average rate for full auto insurance surged to $2,019 in 2023, a 24% increase from 2022, and a nearly 29% increase from the previous year. Even basic state-required policies climbed to $1,154 per year.
Several factors have driven this spike:

1. Rising Vehicle Costs: New and used car prices soared after the COVID-19 pandemic due to supply chain disruptions and high demand, making vehicles more expensive to replace and repair.

Take 7 tourists to visit the Duna interplanetary Transfership.
Duna interplanetary transfership was due to arrive and circularize in LKO within 20 days. Tourism contract had deadline of 3 days, expecting a Duna trip.
It paid 22 million funds. With strategia contract roulette, it went up to 55 million.
It was my easiest funds ever made. Well, almost. I forgot to put retro thrusters AGAIN on my spaceplane, so docking it with the transfer vehicle was a nightmare. I had to dock the enormous 300 ton thing capable of accomodating kerbals for 400 days and a less than 300 day roundtrip with Duna... with a spaceplane. Thank god I put it full of RCS that use lithium.
Remember kids, in-line RCS units from mods for MK2 and MK3 and OPT fuselages do NOT have forward/backward thrust capabilties.
Anyhow. If you do manned interplanetary transfers with space-station like ships the game thinks are space stations and you are too lazy to correct...check contracts if using tourism mods if you got anything about visiting it while it's returning.
Doesn't even feel that cheaty tbf. These 7 tourists paid to see Duna surface samples, meet Jeb, Val, Bill and Bob (and Eilvis, she's my honorary fifth) and their support team after they just came back. They got to tour the massive vehicle as Bill led his team of engineers to depower it so those 5 fission generators won't explode while it's mothballed...
... Altho knowing WOLF, that 55 million is all gonna go and get spent on estabilishing my kerbinside logistics network.
