104 fever detox symptoms

Vacation coming up. That's how I slipped up last time...

2024.05.18 23:37 Bii4x4 Vacation coming up. That's how I slipped up last time...

I got myself sober in December after fighting my way through DTs when I should have really gone into a detox facility, then 2.5 months later I was on vacation with my wife and slipped up thinking I can handle my alcohol now. Stupid, I know. Both for detoxing through some serious withdrawals without medical help, and for thinking I wouldn't just kick back into full alcoholic mode.
Last Monday I realized I was worse off than before and I couldn't do detox alone, symptoms were 100 times worse and starting hours after my last drink instead of days. I went to detox and feel good now, but... Memorial Day week we have a vacation that's been planned for a long time.
Not going to sugar coat it, I'm afraid going to slip up and drink again, especially since another couple is coming with us. On the other hand, if I stay home, I'm afraid I'll be alone and slip up.
I guess I'm not really looking for anything, I just have been unable to start IOP therapy yet and posting here is kind of my self accountability. And I'm not too ashamed to admit I'm scared to death of spiraling again.

2024.05.18 23:19 Bindle_snaggle Poor Man’s Tilt Table

How accurate is the poor man’s tilt table? I know heart rate rising can be more then just POTs but is this significant enough that there is possibly something abnormal? I had an echo and ekg that were almost normal (thinning aorta and hard to see ventricles). I’m not looking for diagnosis and am seeing a neurologist who suggested trying to get in for a tilt table (they are deliberating if my symptoms are enough to get in). Curious what other people get with poor man’s tilt table
Laying after 10 minutes: 110/70 blood pressure 62bpm heart rate
Standing (reading immediately); 107/81 blood pressure 104 bpm heart rate
Standing 5 minutes: 110/84 blood pressure 98bpm heart rate

2024.05.18 22:47 Unable-Process-9039 PSA - Covid Vaccine

Everything I say is validated with my bloodwork and my physician’s agreement. This is in line with the subreddit’s rules.
My GI issues started directly after the Covid “vaccine.” This is a common occurence based on some of the conversations I’ve had here.
If you developed your SIBO, GI issues, or other health issues after getting one or more injections (or Covid itself), ask yourself what your timeline was. Break it down and pinpoint around when it started.
I have been on a search for 3 years, since getting that poisonous injection, and along with a host of other painful issues, that is when the GI symptoms, constipation, and food intolerances all began.
So the question is: should we be trying to fix our SIBO/GI problems, or should we be trying to fix the thing that caused it and may still be causing it? I’d rather pursue the upstream cause instead of the downstream side effect.
If someone has POTS or dysautonomia, that is generally secondary to something else. Taking beta blockers and increasing fluid intake is entirely symptom management, not addressing the root problem. It seems to me that many people who developed this issue after the injection, are treating the symptom without looking to the cause.
It appears currently that clearing spike protein from the injection or the virus is what will restore proper function, just as detoxing from exposure to mold will overtime stop poisoning someone. To quote a scientist on this subject: “You’re never going to solve the peanut allergy if you don’t get the guy to spit the peanut out.”

2024.05.18 21:53 Licilynn12 Healing from mold 11 months later

Hey guys, so I figured I’d make a post on healing from toxic mold. I haven’t been on here lately because I truly feel like I’ve got to a point where I no longer needed to rely on this account with all the different treatments I’ve been focusing on for the last 11 months. I feel incredibly good and truly feel like I’ve gotten my self back. I do have some symptoms left, but it’s so tolerable. Now I know my body is healing. My family moved out of toxic mold last July and 2023. I never thought I would ever feel this good again. I felt so lost and I thought that was gonna be my life forever. Everything I have done has been consistently used, especially taking herbs, binders, and antifungals, and really digging deeper than just mold toxicity. We all know we have parasites, so that was a huge one for me. I also have a lot of heavy metals that I’ve been tackling toxicity, candida, overgrowth, and chronic Lyme. Everything that I did range from some hyperbaric oxygen chamber sessions, biofeedback, qest, NAET therapy, foot detox baths, body/emotion code, herbs that are broad spectrum to tackle everything I’m dealing with, anti fungals, and binders. I did infared sauna a few times, but I would get too sick. I would love to try it again now that I’m feeling a lot better.
I was taking almost 15 different types of supplements which I won’t name all because I finally found a couple that has helped me the most I wouldn’t want anyone to waste their money on the other herbs/ supplements.
Supplements they i feel like has really helped me
Bodybio pc Armra I01 (this one has given me the most results) Golden thread from supreme nutrition Takesumi which is a binder.
I took way too many other ones that may have helped, but didn’t really move the needle for me like these have .
Now I’m down to just taking the i01 and armra and i truly feel so dang good and amazing.
if you are someone dealing with mold toxicity and maybe chronic lyme, I hope this can help you and there is light at the end of the tunnel. I truly felt like there wasn’t when I was in the thick of it, but with persistence on finding all kinds of ways to heal, you will get there .
On the bright side of everything because I know that everyone wants to know results I’ve been doing bio feedback which has been telling me my fungal and mold numbers and since taking one of the supplements was only thing i did differently in just a month and a half my numbers went down 20 points according to biofeedback.

2024.05.18 21:23 Professional_Tea_385 Sparks v. Fever venue move, seats went from great to terrible. Advice?

Advice needed. Bought tickets to the LA Sparks v. Indiana Fever game 2 months ago. Good seats in the 110 section at Walter Pyramid Arena in Long Beach. due to the Caitlin Clark effect, they moved the venue to Crypto.com. While delighted for the sport, my new seats are literally, nearly the worst in the arena. Section 331. New seats moved to the AXS ticketing. StubHub rep on the phone reiterated the fan guarantee about equal or better seats. Emailed me a form to provide the backup documentation of the unacceptable seat move. They responded by saying there was nothing they could do because of the arena change, and that I could resell the seats back on StubHub, which was kinda funny when you think about it, given they’re going for $59 versus the $264 I paid.

2024.05.18 21:19 SeekingHealth78 Help and Advice Sought if possible (UK)

Hello
Could I get some advice and guidance on what all these tests might mean and what I need to learn and know should my Endocrinologist head down the route of TRT, which is where she has indicated over the past couple of months whilst doing tests?
I apologise for the length, but I have tried to cover it as much as possible, as I accept nothing is simple. If more information is needed that I have missed, please ask.
Thanks

Stats
History
I was overweight for a good 20 years; we think this was when my thyroid started causing issues, and it took many years for the NHS to even consider that a problem. I also had no morning erections for a good ten years. I honestly cannot remember the last time I felt hungry, and that was after either an hour of weight lifting or hiking for a full day in the Austrian Alps (the longest one was a 10km round trip and a 1200m climb and then descent).
It took several years to sort the thyroid, and I was still unable to lose weight, although other things had resolved themselves. My GP refused to investigate further, saying simply I was too young. Plus, back in 2019, my Testosterone level was 17.1nmol/L, and now it is down to 7.5, and apart from being a few years older, nothing else has changed weight-wise or fitness, etc. I have had many Covid jabs as my father was extremely vulnerable, and I was his carer.
I am now under a different GP practice that started from scratch and said that, in their opinion, something underlying was causing the myriad of symptoms. They started testing and thought she knew what was wrong. It was agreed that, in computer terms, there was a tick box that needed ticking, but finding which one would take time.
However, their final idea saw her ask for guidance from Endocrinology; they said to do nothing and that they would take over. This was in 2023. However, Testosterone issues are an ultra-low priority in my area, so my expected appointment is in 2025.
For the past few months, I have seen an Endocrinologist privately with the agreement of my GP, who has done all the requested tests and agreed that if any prescriptions are needed, they will do it.
In addition to the above, dieticians have cleared me, having seen them privately and on the NHS.
I spent a year with a personal trainer at a bodybuilder gym, working out with him three times a week with no results and stopped through no results but with growing mental and physical fatigue. Walking 10,000 steps a day is not a problem for me.
I have had this all on hold for a while, what with COVID-19 and then a relative's very poor health. It is now time to focus back on myself, I think. I sleep a good 8 hours a night and get up feeling worse than going to bed – although randomly, I do have bouts of insomnia.
As mentioned to my GP and Endocrinologist, I have no problem putting in the hard work at the gym, but when that hard work does absolutely nothing for muscle mass or body shape, etc., it gets very depressing. I guess that does give me one direct question: How long do I need to leave it before going back if my Endocrinologist prescribes TRT—do I need to let my body recover a bit before stressing it by doing weights, etc.?
Tests (Using UK NHS Scales)
Testosterone has been done now 6 or 7 times, always within 0.2 or below and always done between 08:50 and 09:10 in the morning.
In addition, she requested an ultrasound, and the results came back as 29mm AP diameter and 19mm AP diameter, respectively, for the testes.

2024.05.18 21:08 twocatsinthehouse_ Azithromycin making me severely ill?

Stats:
33 Female, 2 children - 2 years post partum 199lbs 5’2” Synthroid 75mcg Vitamin D 5000 IU (discontinued when I started) Oregano and Caprylic acid capsules (discontinued when started) Vaginal probiotics (oral) Boric acid suppositories 80 BU Probiotic
This kind of threw me off, I feel so sick, worse than I ever did with BV.
The first time I tested positive for BV I was given the standard metro dose. That didn’t work.
I tested positive for BV twice, and Galbrata yeast 3x, and the most recent time I tested positive for Ureaplasma (not Mycoplasma)
Doc prescribed 500mg Azithromycin 2x a day. I took my dose last night, and today I have a low grade fever, back pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea (which I expect because that’s what ABX do to me)
The on call doc said it’s odd to have this sort of response, the symptoms don’t indicate an allergy, just severe symptoms of taking the pill. But my fever and back pain are concerning me. She said I can try taking the second dose with a meal, or just try taking one dose until I reach out to my GYN on Monday. I’m just not going to take it until I feel better. Has this happened to anyone? Every time I called the doc or the pharmacist (it’s only been twice) they don’t see an issue. But I feel violently ill as if I drank heavy amounts of alcohol the night before. What gives? What do I do?

2024.05.18 20:58 marconbgone High IgE - allergies or mold

I have high IgE (1,500) and don’t know if it’s classic allergies, or a result of CIRS and possibly Marcons. Does anybody else have high IgE? My sinuses are a significant problem with lots of pressure, headaches and breathing restriction, probably from swollen turbinates and nasal cycle dysfunction. But otherwise aside from sneezing 3-4 times per day, I don’t have typical “hay fever” symptom. I got rid of Marcons 4 months ago, but am concerned it has returned.

2024.05.18 20:23 theprincessoflettuce Chemical burn on tongue

Hi all,
A few hours ago I noticed my dog had a burned tongue and mouth. She was shaking and struggled to eat. I then realised I had used a declogging liquid in my shower this morning, and immediately assumed she might have licked it. I was with her all day, so I can only imagine she snuck into the bathroom while I went to pee. I didn't see her lick it, but it seems like a plausible theory.
I rushed to the vet, who checked her heart and fever (both ok). She said my story made sense considering the symptoms. She gave her painkillers and a stomach protector and let me take my dog home with me, recommending me to keep giving her those medications for at least a week.
I'm wondering if anyone else has been through something like this before. How long did it take for your dog to be ok? I feel so guilty and worried. She is not lethargic, but still shivering so I assume she is in a lot of pain.

2024.05.18 19:57 Happy-Cheesecake-170 Finally awaiting a text from doctors to schedule my removal appointment, should I wait and how long, to get my next kyleena iud put in? In order to let my body recover from the copper overload

This iud hasn’t been working for me which is a shame because after the pill I really wanted a non hormonal method that would work for me but over time the copper overload and estrogen dominance symptoms have gotten too much. Thyroid issues anxiety depression hair loss it’s been horrible. Supplements can’t keep up. I’m going to try the Kyleena next since it has a lower dose of hormones than mirena and it’s worth a shot as I don’t have the most trust in natural cycles. Should I wait between IUDs so my body can detox all this copper or would it still be able to detox and heal with the next hormonal iud in? I’ve been thinking it’s a good idea to let my body heal first before putting extra hormones into the mix

2024.05.18 19:50 Jules_Anne92 Quick way to get rid of UTI

I figured out I had it bc yesterday I suddenly felt very achy and I had a fever of 102. Later on in the night, I started drinking cranberry juice, and I felt a little better. This morning I feel almost back to normal just a few symptoms. This is my first uti, and I’m treating it with drinking cranberry juice and over the counter medicine as well as drinking a lot of water. I don’t want to go to the doctor cuz that’s a bill I don’t want to pay. Is there any other tips I can use?

2024.05.18 19:44 snoregasm_ Girlfriend has stomach bug.. HELP! *uncensored*

So this morning, I (22F) woke up to my girlfriend (21F) throwing up in the bathroom. She said it had been going on for a while. I did a good job of remaining calm, and packed a bag for her as her mom was coming to take her home. She believed it to be food poisoning, since she felt completely fine before going to bed. However, 5 hours later and she’s still d and tu and has a low-grade fever. Also, she has TU twice even though she took zofran! My anxiety has subsided, but I am so nervous for this bug to hit me. We kissed and cuddled before bed last night, but she wasn’t exhibiting symptoms. I have had no contact with her since symptoms started, and have only had a bit of d though I’m sure that’s from anxiety.
I just can’t stop thinking about when I’m going to get sick.
Help :(

2024.05.18 19:18 xxxmikejones69 Can levothyroxine stop working?

My mom has hypothyroidism and is taking levothyroxine for it. Last night she was having chills, and this morning she fell. Her symptoms now are extreme fatigue (I have never seen her like this), some nausea, chills, and a headache. No fever. She can't get out of bed. Since she has hypothyroidism and a lot of her symptoms are hypothyroidism symptoms, I'm thinking that's what she's experiencing. However, she's been taking levothyroxine for a while with no problems. Is it possible her hypothyroidism has progressed and her current medication is too weak now, or that her medication has lost potency?
Edit: She has a fever now so she just caught something and is sick, her hypothyroidism seems fine.

2024.05.18 18:44 4eva2four Not finishing treatment

Hi all - this subred has been a god send for me and my mother (SCC, hard pallet, F, 72 years old). She got surgery and a flap placed in early March and started chemo radiation early April. Marginga were generally good and there was 5/41 lympnodes her neck with cancer. Original treatment being at least 5 cisplantin and 33 sessions of radiation for 6 1/2 weeks. The surgery was presumed to be successful but t
Things escalated half way through the 5th week after dealing with weeks of nutrition issues, weight, and eating (she lost 25 lbs and decided on getting a G-tube at the end of week 4). After her 23 radiation session she went into routine weekly hydration and a vitals check showed she had low oxygen levels. It was then discovered after a scan she had blood clots in the lung. She was admitted to the hospital for 4 days in heparine IV.
She was discharged a week ago and the next day met with her chemo oncologist and radiation oncologist for her weekly check up and radiation session. Her oncologist recommended to skip chemo that week as she's already gotten to 5 and her body needed a break. That evening, after radiation, I found her shivering and unconscious on the couch. Her oxygen levels were low so I called the ambulance that took to her the hospital to discover she had 104 degree fever and .98 count of white blood cells.
They are treating her at the hospital for Pneumonia. The theory is the secretions and mucus in her nose and mouth causes dripping into her lungs and caused this infection.
We are now in a position she competed 24 radiation, 5 chemos, and she has been hospitalized twice in the last week. She has decided to end treatment early as she believes her body can't take any more sessions. The radiologist tried to convince to just get to 30 treatments total (6 more) but she's not budging. These sideeffecta have becoke life threatening and there doesn't seem to be an alternative to make sure she stays safe through treatment and the weeks following recovery.
Has anyone here ended their treatment early? Obviously we are terrifield of reoccurrence but I believe my mom has tried her best and it must have been for something.

2024.05.18 18:42 Tough-Phrase4105 Caught a Cold & Woke up w/ Sciatica?

TL;DR - I caught what I believe to be the common cold and woke up the next day with sciatica pain going to my legs & feet. I do have chronic low back pain, but it has never gone to my legs. What could be the cause?
27F. Existing shoulder Injury w/ nerve tingling, numbness & pain for 12+ years causing winging scapula, bursitis, snapping tendon. Mild scoliosis. Chronic Low Back Pain from Scapula to Low Back. Hypermobile & seems that joint instability is a problem I have.
I am also currently seeing a rheumatologist bc I believe I have an autoimmune thing going on. Curious if that could be the cause because I always get joint pain and swelling flare ups when I am sick.
2.5 weeks ago, I started to feel a little under the weather. Woke up the next day and could feel a cold coming on, took my temperature and had a fever of 100F. By the end of the work day, joint pain in my spine felt so much worse and I couldn’t tolerate sitting. Had to work multiple half days, when I work a desk job from home because I couldn’t tolerate the pain of sitting at my desk. The cold on the other hand - not bad at all.
2.5 weeks have passed and the sciatica is still here. I have been working with a PT on the symptoms and going 3X week. But they said it’s very rare to see sciatica onset so suddenly like this if you didn’t do something to injure yourself like a slipped disk (which they don’t think I have).
The pain tingling & numbness starts in my low back on the right side of my spine. It travels from low back to glutes, hamstring, calf, feet, top of legs, inside of legs. If it gets bad enough it goes to the front of my body like my hips, pubic area etc. It seems to favor the right leg and the outside of my leg, but it does eventually go to my inner legs and down both sides and to my feet.
This is majorly disruptive to my life as I can’t focus on work when I am in this much pain.
What on earth is going on? Any suggestions? Should I call the rheumatologist?

2024.05.18 18:23 Sad-Elk-7291 Health related anxiety

Does anyone else struggle with health anxiety secondary to work? I’ve been an ER RN in a level 1 trauma center for 9 years. I’ve found myself living in a state of anxiety over a tragic diagnosis, cancer, devastating accident, something happening to my children. If I have a headache, is it a brain bleed? If my child has a fever, is it something sinister? Of course anxiety comes with its own set of physical symptoms, and that causes a worry cycle.
I’ve started therapy for this. I’ve had about 5 sessions. What has helped you process these anxious feelings? Any book recommendations?

2024.05.18 18:12 shareyourespresso haemophilus influenzae in sinuses since November - not being killed by antibiotics

Age 32
Sex female
Height 5’3”
Weight 140
Race Caucasian
Duration of complaint 6 months
Location sinus
Any existing relevant medical issues dx MS, Long QTS
Current medications 500ml rituximab 2x/yr, 20mg propranolol 2x/day
Had this infection since November 2023; recurring symptoms of cough, congestion, red/congested eye(s), fever, body aches.
I had Covid before thanksgiving ‘23, then got “regular sick” about two weeks later. I’ve been treated for sinus infections and pneumonia and have been on amoxicillin, augmenten, cefdinil, doxycycline, and am currently on clindamycin since November with varying strengths and lengths of time. The infection would go away while on antibiotics, but always come right back 3 days after stopping them.
I got sinus surgery and I finally got a culture that came back as haemophilus influenzae. I’m currently on clindamycin, which I’m reading HI is resistant to. My infection symptoms are beginning to come back and I am been taking clindamycin 300mg 4x/day for a week, with three days left.
I’m at a loss and I’m sick of being sick. Looking for some advice and ideas. Is my body just resisting antibiotics at this point? And if so, how do I go about fixing that?

The episode faded back in to a shot of the Gaffers' platform being raised up to the roof by Scott, Ripper, and Chase as MK watched and Izzy walked over, wiping slime off herself.
"Uh, not to sound lazy," Scott said as he left the chain, "but I'm not feeling so good."
"You probably just have a cold," Izzy told him.
"Since when do colds have sores like this?" Scott followed up as he lifted his right arm and pointed to a round, reddish-brown spot on his elbow.
Izzy looked at him attentively and put her hand on his forehead. "Your body temperature is high, but it's possible that-" she was interrupted by a sudden burp from her teammate that caused her to cringe and take a step back. "Why does your breath smell like lemons?"
"Are you trashing my burps?" Scott asked in confusion.
"Hold on," Justin interrupted as the camera cut to him. "Red sores, fever, lemony burps? Aren't those symptoms of one of the diseases in the book?"
"Page 753," Millie exclaimed. "Mortatistical Crumples Disease!" She gasped. "And it's fatal!"
Everyone gasped. "Mortatistical Crumples is also highly contagious!" MK added, eliciting another gasp from most of the cast.
"Okay, looks like it's quarantine time!" Chris said, backing towards the door with barely-hidden panic. "See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!" He gave them a quick wave, then dashed out the double door between the two vats. Both teams went over to it with shock on their faces as the sounds of power tools were heard on the other side.
The camera cut to Chris as he pounded a nail in with a hammer. It was one of many holding up a red banner with an orange skull-and-crossbones on it, set over several long pieces of wood that had been nailed up to bar the exit. "There's more to this disease than either team knows," he told the camera with an impish grin before walking away with a dark chuckle.
Another shot of the numbered studios was shown. "Hold on," Anne Maria spoke up as the shot cut back to the ten castmates in the challenge set. "How did Dirt Boy catch a fatal disease?"
“I'm sure it's just a twenty-four hour kind of fatal,” Scott hoped.
"We have to quarantine Scott! Stat!" Izzy said in a panic.
The camera showed Ripper furiously inflating a plastic bubble with a bicycle pump; the bubble had a yellow-and-black biohazard symbol on it. "Get inside now!" the bully shouted before Scott threw himself head-first into the bubble.
"Oh no!" Jasmine cried. "Brick has a sore too!" She pointed at the soldier boy's upper left arm, who took one look at the sore and began to wave his arm in a panic.
"It has to be a mistake!" Brick exclaimed.
"Hey!" Scott exclaimed from inside his bubble, another one getting inflated nearby. "Is there an exit to this thing?"
"There isn't one!" Ripper shouted as he continued to pump and Brick got into his bubble.
"Why didn't anyone tell me that before I jumped in?!" Scott griped.
“Okay, everyone just calm down!" Chase said.
"Agreed," Jasmine spoke up sternly. "We should make sure no one else is infected. Symptoms of Mortotistico Crumple's Disease include explosive diarrhea..."
"Oh no!" The camera cut to Chase as his bowels began to groan and he ran into a nearby portable toilet with a panicked look on his face.
"Itchy lips," Jasmine continued as the shot cut to Justin, who suddenly bit his lip.
"My… my lips," he moaned. "They're on fire!" He began to frantically rub and scratch at them, leaving them swollen and red.
"Sudden hot flashes," Jasmine listed off as MK began to sweat profusely and tug at her jacket. "Sea sickness," Ripper turned green and vomited. "Speaking in tongues," Izzy was the next to be affected as she babbled incoherently and indistinguishably with her eyes rolling upwards, which continued even as Jasmine listed the final symptom, "and temporary blindness."
"Everyone can see, right?" Jasmine asked as she checked over the castmates’ current states. "That's good to know," she said in relief before walking forward and bumping straight into Brick's bubble. "Oh no," she said in newfound panic. "I'm the one who's blind!"
Confessional: Anne Maria
"I know this is a reality show," Anne Maria told the confessional camera in a serious tone, "but I doubt that Chris would allow us to actually die on national television!"
Confessional Ends
The scene cut to Chris himself watching from his control room, leaning back in his chair with his legs propped up on the desk in front of him. "You'd think we wouldn't," he told the camera, "but, just imagine the ratings!"
Back in the quarantined set, the camera panned across the room to show that everyone except for Anne Maria, Millie, and the bubbled Brick and Scott were now laying on top of stretchers, groaning and moaning.
“This is super bad,” Millie said. “We have to do something.”
“Do you mean taking their temperatures, because we only have rectal thermometers, and I'm not in the mood to joke around with them,” Anne Maria responded.
“I wasn't even thinking about that at all,” Millie stated. “Joking with diseases is not funny at all.”
“Obviously, but have you noticed we're the only ones who didn't take part in the studying all-nighter, and we're the only ones who haven't been infected?” Anne Maria asked while looking over everybody.
“I'm not so sure about this supposed disease,” Millie mused. “We need to get our hands on one of those textbooks. There has to be something they missed.”
“I’d do it if Chris didn’t seal off the only exit,” Anne Maria argued.
"There’s another exit over there," Millie pointed to the Grips' platform, which was now sitting on the floor empty of body parts. The chain still led up to a hole in the ceiling where the reel was situated.
"Oh yeah. How in the world did I not notice that?" Anne Maria droned sarcastically before the two made a dash for the platform.
"I still haven’t forgotten you pushing me off the diving board a few days ago, so don’t think I’m scared of pulling the platform as high as possible," Millie informed as they stepped onto the platform and pulled down on the chain, making them ascend.
The footage flashed forward to the outside of the studio as the two girls jumped down from a ladder on the wall of the building. “You grab a textbook, I'll look in the kitchen,” Millie instructed before they split off in opposite directions.
Confessional: Millie
"I really hope that the disease is fake," Millie explained in the make-up trailer. "There were some diagnoses and symptoms in the textbook that I've never heard of before, but I've studied a lot about diseases to be familiar with a selective few."
Confessional Ends
Back inside, Scott was shown to be rolling around in his bubble. "How long has it been since I got in this bubble?" he groaned.
"I don't want to hold onto my bladder for more than an hour!" Brick cried while covering his groin with both hands.
"My lips," Justin groaned on his stretcher. "Of all places, why my lips?"
"I'd kiss them to make you feel better, but I'm not a princess and you are not a frog," MK said, sitting up on the stretcher next to him; Jasmine and Chase were visible in a row behind them. "And even then, I am not an animal kisser."
Ripper was sitting against one of the walls, writing something on a piece of paper with a bucket of vomit next to him. “To my parents; don't let my brothers keep the money I've taken from weaklings in the past.” He paused to throw up into his bucket before writing again. “To my brothers; don't even think about stealing my stash from me, especially you, Wolfgang! From your best son, Richard Kennedy.”
The double doors between the vats were thrown open by Millie and Anne Maria. The camera pulled out as the other cast members moaned, and the two young women stepped into the room – the Jersey girl holding a textbook, and the author with some kind of canister.
"Who's there?" Jasmine asked.
"Simmer down, everyone," Anne Maria said. "We're just here to expose the truth about these textbooks, which are actually bogus." She held the book she'd brought up, and easily tore the cover off it. "The book covers are just cereal boxes." Her bowels started to growl, and with a panicked look, she dropped the book and ran towards the portable toilet. "I'll be right back!"
"It can be a crock," Jasmine sat up on her stretcher. "Nobody's faking the sickness!"
“No, but it's still untrue,” Millie interjected. “I just went to Chef's kitchen, and I found this "cheese". The camera focused in on the canister in her hand as she held it up, showing that it had an image of a cheese wedge on the label.
"Uh, what is in that parmesan?" Brick wondered innocently.
"It is not cheese, but it is," Millie tore off the label to reveal a second beneath it with an image of scratching hands on it, "itching powder and laxatives!"
"Chef!" Brick muttered under his breath. "Why did he not inform me?"
It was then that Anne Maria burst back out of the portable toilet followed by a cloud of foul odor. "That explains the diarrhea and itchy lips."
"And I didn't get sick since I'm the only one who didn't eat the pizza," Millie added.
"What about the sores on Brick and Scott?" Chase asked.
"As for those," Millie laughed lightly, walking over to her quarantined teammate. "They're just pepperoni pieces that got stuck on you when you likely fell asleep."
Brick reached over to touch his sore, and it peeled off easily. "She's right!"
Scott also touched his own sore and it also peeled off quickly. "I was suckered! Now can somebody let me out of here now?"
"So wait," MK spoke up, "the disease is fake?"
Jasmine was the first to react, sitting up and blinking. "By golly. I'm not blind anymore!"
"And I can talk normally!" Izzy cheered.
"And I'm not gonna throw up anymore!" Ripper added. "We've been cured!"
"Could I be let out now?!" Brick pleaded. "I have some urgent business to take care of!"
"I'm comin’," Anne Maria rushed over to the bubble and simply popped it with her fingernail. Both of them winced as the bubble burst, and Brick immediately rushed over to the portable toilet.
"And don't forget about me as well!" Scott spoke up, rolling his bubble into the middle of the room.
Izzy took out a pin, popping her teammate's bubble. “This was all first year med school syndrome!” she said. “Too much studying and too little sleep can make you think you've got every disease in the book!”
"Congratulations, Killer Grips!" the voice of Chris McLean came suddenly, the camera pulling out to show the host descending from the ceiling on another chain. "You just won the challenge!"
The five Grips began to cheer and celebrate. "Brilliant diagnostic skills, Anne Maria and Millie. Way to suss it out. And, for your reward," Chris continued, frowning and looking down at his empty hands. "Knew I forgot something. Just a sec!" he said before stepping back onto the chain's foothold and raising back out of the room.
Confessional: Anne Maria
"This challenge was certainly… something," Anne Maria confessed. "I can't believe that I had to play the role of doctor just to tell everybody about the so-called disease being a lie. Who knew tainted pizza could make you have hot flashes and sea sickness?”
Confessional Ends
"One thing's for sure. I'm double checking my food from now on if I want to prevent temporary blindness or having to speak in tongues," Jasmine told the Grips as the footage cut back to them.
“Once again, the pizza was too good to be true,” Brick commented. “You made a good call not eating any slices, Millie.”
“I had no idea that there were laxatives put onto it,” Millie claimed. “If I wasn't so invested with the book, I'd probably eat the pizza and fall victim to the sickness just like you guys.”
It was then that Chris returned, descending down on the same chain as before but now carrying a covered platter. "As I was saying," he said as he walked towards the Grips, "for your reward!"
He removed the cover and the camera zoomed in on what lay beneath – five picture frames, three in back and two in front, each containing a photograph of a different person. The first on the left was a light purple cat. The second was a confident-looking Hawaiian woman with black long hair wearing a yellow tracksuit and red hoop earrings. In the middle was a teenage girl, pale with brown hair tied in a bun and a beige tank top. Fourth was a smiling white man; he had no hair, had golden dog tags around his neck, and was dressed in a dark green military outfit. And on the right end was an elderly black man with white curly hair, a white mustache covering his mouth, and a dark orange collared long-sleeved shirt.
"That's my cat Whiskers!" Jasmine said excitedly as the shot panned across the photos.
"And that's one of my girlfriends Vanessa," Anne Maria declared.
"Yup!" Chris told them. "One of you gets a whole spa night away from this cruddy studio lot, with your very best friend! So, who's the lucky stiff?"
“I'd kill for a spa day, even if it's with my mom, so how about letting me have it?” Justin smiled widely at his team.
“I have some things I want to talk about with my father,” Brick suggested.
“Now wait just a minute…” Jasmine interrupted as she, Brick, and Justin started to argue over who should get the prize.
“Can all of you shut up!!” Anne Maria ceased the fight, causing everyone to look at her. “As much as I would love to be away from this trashy film lot, I say we should let Millie have the reward.”
"Wait, me?" Millie asked in astonishment. “How come?”
"Clearly, you did the most research out of all of us, and you won the challenge for us," Anne Maria answered.
“You did say that the person who contributes the most should claim the reward,” Brick brought up.
“And with you also not eating that pizza, you've certainly earned that spa night,” Jasmine smiled.
“I don't want to be left out, so okay then,” Justin agreed with a shrug.
"Chris, the Killer Grips came to a decision," Anne Maria said before giving Millie a light shove forward.
"W-wow," Millie said softly as she began to tear up. "This is really generous!"
“Just accept the offer before I trade places with you,” Justin said.
"Eeeuuughh," Chris said in disgust. "Clean up on aisle two!" he called, and moments later, a pair of young white men in white work outfits walked through the open door, one of which carried a push broom. They disappeared off-screen for a moment, then reappeared with one pushing Millie towards the door and the other sweeping up after.
"Thank you for allowing me to take the reward!" Millie said as she allowed herself to be escorted out, wiping away her tears with her hands.
The scene cut outside as Millie walked up to the beaten-down Lame-o-sine. The door opened, and she smiled and stepped inside.
"Granddad!" the writer said happily as the shot moved inside to show her hugging the white haired old man who had been seen in one of the pictures. "I've really missed you!"
"I missed you too, Millie," the man said as he hugged his daughter. "Don't get my favorite shirt wet now. I got it dry cleaned."
"Sorry," Millie said as they broke their hug. "I have a lot to talk to you about ever since I competed in the first season."
Her grandfather smiled proudly. "Spill the details. I can tell you had a ball, but don't blame me if I start to doze off more than I do while writing best selling books."
"I'm not that boring!" Millie laughed cutely. "So it all started when I was dropped off on the dock..."
"Sheesh," Chris cringed as the scene cut to him in his control room. "Talk about a loving family! Hopefully they'll get their dullness smoothed while they're at the spa." He pulled a lever on the desk, cutting the monitor feeds to static, and stood up. "So, will the Grips' winning streak last? Or will they fall apart and lose their teamwork? Find out next time, on Total! Drama! Action!"
(Roll the Credits)
(Bonus Clip)
“That spa night was amazing!” Millie told the camera while in the trailer. “The manicures and pedicures were to die for, and the facials and mud bath really smoothened the rough parts of my skin. Granted, this spa night wasn't as fun as the two-day resort back in Camp Wawanakwa, but thankfully, I didn't have to eat any disgusting food this time, so that's an upside. Want to know something interesting? Granddad was more into the spa treatments than me, but don't tell him that I said that to you,” she added with a giggle.

2024.05.18 17:58 bestsellerwonder Eye allergies

When I use my eye drops for my allergy i can think clearer. Is it possible for eye allergies to impair thought process? I don't have runny nose or other hay fever symptoms that can suggest there's a systemic reaction except for my eyes that have been every year tearing up during spring because of pollen. But this year, after catching Covid for the first time, I feel worse.

2024.05.18 17:52 sigurdthemighty Scarlet fever or parvovirus

Not sure if my son has scarlet fever or parvovirus, no doctors available until Monday. He is Male, 2y 11m, 90cm and approx 12kg. He's dealing with it fine but would be good to get an idea.
Main thing is I don't think he has strawberry tongue but can't find anyway that is always a symptom. He certainly hasn't had the white cover. His tongue looks normal colour but the papillae might be raised? I have never looked closely before so hard to tell if there is a change! I took a photo (it looks more bumpy in it but no white film) but Imgur won't work to check
Day 2 of rash and it is already fading and less raised. Not sure if I would count it as sandpapery either
Edited for link to pic now I have imgur workingpic
