Not losing weight while sticking to a 1200 calory diet

2024.06.02 10:17 UnimaginablyFloating Not losing weight while sticking to a 1200 calory diet

So, I've been on a diet for almost 2 months now. What I do, is the following:
At 12.00 I have a proteine shake. at 14.00 I eat three crackers with lean meat, like chicken filet or smoked bacon. Single, thin slices. At 16.00 another shake. At 18.00 A cup of soup. Just a 300ml coffee mug full of cup a soup. At 20.00 I eat one of these three meals:
During most days I will eat 200-300 grams of fruit in between, mostly grapes, apples, and tangerines. Sometimes a pommegranate.
On saturday evening, I will splurge a bit, give myself permission to break the diet, and that means: Drinking 1 cocktail and 2 bottles of cider. I will also eat some fruit and maybe 50-60 grams of lean meat like roastbeef as a snack.
I figure that with all this, I'm at 1200 calories a day, except for a little extra on saturday, which also should never get me over (or even at) my 2500 maintenance level.
I'm a 1m98 man, 46 years old, currently at 118 kg I take 8-10 km walks 3 times a week, but I don't exercise much, and I probably will not exercise either. It's just something I hate very much.
Another thing that might be important to know: I take 25 mg of quetiapine, an antidepressant, every day.
This diet has helped me a few years back, to lose 25 kg, whicdh I have put back on since then. In fact, it helped me to lose it fast. Now I started doing it again, and after losing 7 kg initially, I've been stuck at 118 for 4 weeks now. Why is that? What can I change to make it work again?

2024.06.02 09:44 zealotrf Curious about my levels, EV injections + Lupron + P

Hi!
Summary:
I just switched to injections recently. Measurements are done on the 3-4th day after injecting. I stumbled upon another thread where someone was unhappy with their 200 pg/mL. This shocked me because mine was 185 pg/mL doctor has a recommended range of 50-200 pg/mL they seemed to work with me though when I asked for more when I was about 150 pg/mL. My dosage is 0.2 mL of 20 mg/mL done subq weekly (so 4 mg/week). Since they felt like their numbers were too low or doctor was following not a great recommendation it made me wonder about mine... I haven't thought much about it.
My T levels seem pretty good, which is suppressed by a quarterly injection of lupron (22.5 mg every 3 months). Levels are 16 ng/dL. I think this level was tested maybe a week or two before my next injection.
I started progesterone (prometrium) and have been taking 200 mg orally daily. I've read lots about taking it... rectally... tried it once, and I didn't like it. Plus: I have a difficult time sleeping, and I like that it makes me feel a little drowsy (although sometimes still not good enough to get the full 4 hours of sleep :( :( :( ).
Feminization seems "okay" but not great.

Title. I have been buying supplements whenever I have an extra budget to shell out on stuff. Is this a good list? Am I missing out on something? Should I add/remove some things in my list? I would like to know your thoughts and suggestions (which hopefully are budget-friendly).

2024.06.02 09:28 DealEducational6572 Weird behaviour of psychologist and psychiatrist

I am from India, 29F and weighs 87 kg, if that is relevant.
I was 'diagnosed' with ADHD (inattentive) a few weeks ago. I was put on 5 mg (4 days) - 10 mg (6 days) - 15 mg (4 days) Methylphenidate (Addwize). The psychologist warned that I might not feel any instant relief or overnight change. They have to adjust the compounds and dosage slowly to see what works the best. When I asked the psychiatrist if there will be any side effects, she said that this is a very small dosage, prescribed to children too.
I didn't feel any positive difference in these two weeks, except heightened anxiety occasionally. I don't know if the anxiety is due to the medication or my upcoming examinations. I stopped craving for food, which is something I liked. Anyway, yesterday I went to consult them and they both were . . . crestfallen?
The psychiatrist was like ☹️ when I told her that the medication didn't work. She wanted the psychologist to evaluate me again. Psychologist also started to behave differently, like doubting me. Psychiatrist prescribed Atomoxetin Hydrochloride 10mg for 4 days and 18 mg for 21 days. I have to take/retake some test after this.
Was I supposed to cure myself with low dosage methylphenidate in two weeks? I should have been the one to feel disappointed that I paid their consultation fees, travelled 75 km and waited an hour (for each) to meet them. But these two women are behaving like I failed them. Can anyone explain what exactly is going on?

Over the past few weeks, I've been using the Wayne Water Systems WSB1275 battery in my basement sump pump. This maintenance-free, sealed lead-acid battery pack has made my life easier and more worry-free, thanks to its 75Ah capacity and 12V voltage. With its handles making it easy to move around, I am now free from the hassle of constantly monitoring and maintaining the battery levels.
One of the most impressive features of this battery is the consistent power supply it provides, ensuring that my backup sump pump remains ready to kick in at a moment's notice. This reliable performance has given me peace of mind, especially during the recent storms that have brought about power outages in my area. The battery also charges quickly, so I'm always prepared for any situation.
However, there is one drawback I've encountered. While the battery works reliably, the instructions provided for installation are quite complicated and could have been simplified. Additionally, I did notice that the battery's capacity can sometimes be slightly less than advertised, which might require an adjustment in your expectations.
In summary, the Wayne Water Systems WSB1275 battery offers a top-quality, reliable solution for my basement sump pump needs. With its impressive charging capabilities and consistent power supply, I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use battery pack for their sump pump system.

I recently tried the Thunderbolt Magnum 12V 160 CCA AGM Battery, and I must say, it has some impressive features. What stood out to me is the rugged design and the versatile top-mounted terminals that make it a suitable choice for various generators, including those made by Predator.
While using this battery, I found it to be quite efficient in providing constant voltage input, which is crucial for an electric start generator. It successfully powered both my generator and an ATV without any issues. The battery's compact size made it convenient to install and mount on the generator.
However, one downside I encountered was the reversed polarity terminals. It took me a bit of time to figure out the issue during installation. Additionally, some customers mentioned facing difficulty in finding replacements for this battery, as most other units do not fit the same specifications.
Overall, the Thunderbolt Magnum 12V 160 CCA AGM Battery has proven to be a reliable and functional option for powering electric start generators. But be aware of the possible reversed polarity terminals and the difficulty in finding compatible replacements.

🔗Extreme Heavy-Duty 12V 22AH SLA Battery for Demanding Jump Starter Applications

Imagine a situation where you're stuck on the side of the road, and your car isn't starting. You pull out a small device, no bigger than a pencil box, and within minutes, your car roars to life. That's the magic of a portable jump starter.
The Mighty Max Battery 12V 22Ah is a versatile device that serves as a replacement for your Die Hard Portable Jump Starter. It's a maintenance-free 12V 22AH Sealed Lead Acid battery, known for its spill-proof nature and high discharge rate. This battery is designed to handle a wide range of temperatures, making it suitable for use in both high and low temperatures.
One of the most impressive things about this battery is its ability to resist shocks and vibration. It can be mounted in any position, making it a convenient option for those who are always on the move. And let's not forget the bonus of having a long service life and the ability to recover from deep discharge situations, which is particularly useful in emergency situations.
Now, let's talk about my personal experience with the Mighty Max Battery. I've used it to jump-start my car during a surprise power outage, and it worked like a charm. It's compact, which made it easy to store in my glove compartment, and it fits perfectly into the port on my Die Hard jump starter.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The product doesn't come with a wire harness or mounting accessories, which means you'll have to purchase those separately if you don't already have them. Additionally, the battery's weight might be a concern for some, but for me, it wasn't a deal-breaker.
Overall, the Mighty Max Battery 12V 22Ah is a powerful and reliable option for anyone in need of a portable jump starter. It's easy to use, long-lasting, and has a compact design that makes it a convenient option for those always on the go. Despite the minor inconvenience of not having all necessary accessories included, the Mighty Max Battery more than makes up for it with its performance and durability.

In my quest for a reliable battery, I stumbled upon the Mighty Max Battery ML9-12NB. At first glance, the size may seem smaller than expected, but don't let that hold you back. This little guy is a force to be reckoned with!
Powered by a 12V 9AH Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) rechargeable maintenance-free battery, it effortlessly outperforms its counterparts in various conditions. UL certified and ready to take on any position, it resists shocks and vibrations with ease while maintaining its long-lasting high performance.
The best part? It's spill-proof and boasts a high discharge rate, wide operating temperatures, and an extended service life. And the deep discharge recover? A true game-changer when it comes to battery efficiency.
Despite its small stature, the ML9-12NB holds its own in the big leagues, proving that good things often come in unexpected packages.

🔗Schumacher DSR114 DSR ProSeries Jump Starter: High-Performance AGM Battery Pack with Easy Charging and Reverse Hook-up Protection

I've been using the Schumacher DSR ProSeries Jump Starter in my daily life for a few months now, and I must say it's been quite the reliable companion. When I needed to jumpstart my car the other day, it took me just a few minutes to get everything connected and running smoothly. The 525 cranking amps and 350 cold cranking amps really make a difference in those crucial moments.
One thing that really stood out to me was the easy-to-read digital display and ON/OFF switch. They made it easy for me to keep track of the battery life and to ensure I wasn't draining it unnecessarily. However, I did notice that the 60-inch cable length wasn't quite long enough to reach my car when it was parked in the driveway, so I had to make a few adjustments.
I particularly appreciate Schumacher's safety features like the reverse hook-up safeguard alarm, which makes sure that the clamps are connected to the battery correctly. Having this safety feature has given me peace of mind when jumpstarting my car or helping friends in need.
This jump starter is well-built and seems to be quite durable. It's a little bit heavy to carry around, but it's certainly sturdy enough to handle the job. The 2.1-amp USB port and 12V DC outlet added bonus features that I've come to appreciate during my camping trips and other outdoor activities.
In conclusion, I highly recommend the Schumacher DSR ProSeries Jump Starter. It has proven to be an invaluable addition to my daily life, and I know I can always count on it when I need to get my car back up and running.

🔗Long-lasting AGM Voyager Battery for Enhanced Deep Cycle Performance

The ACDelco Professional AGM Voyager battery has been a game-changer in my daily life. With its maintenance-free Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology, I no longer have to worry about water spills or leaks. The deep cycle performance has been outstanding, and the leak-proof pressurized valve system ensures safety and longevity.
However, there's one minor downside: the battery warning in California can be concerning. Overall, this premium aftermarket battery has exceeded my expectations in terms of fit, form, and functionality.

🔗High Output 12V AGM Car Battery for Superior Audio Performance

https://preview.redd.it/wzs44wasz34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6c201cf62983d9f8ae3dde1a86bed9230003a7c0
I've always been a fan of the XS Power D3400 12V AGM Battery. It's been my go-to power source for my car's audio system. I could definitely feel the difference in the quality once I switched to this battery. The absorption glass mat technology really works wonders!
One of the best things about this battery is its high output. With a max of 3,300 amps, it really powers my speakers. The M6 terminal hardware which comes alongside also adds to the convenience. The battery is classified for OE fit and runs on a wide range of watts, making it versatile for different audio setups.
However, the packaging of the battery wasn't as satisfactory. The battery box came damaged and there were instances where the label peeled off. As far as the terminal hardware, it seems some customers found it missing from their package.
Despite those minor issues, I'm still impressed with this battery's performance. It's durable, reliable, and has definitely elevated the audio quality of my ride. Overall, I would say it's a great power source for any serious audio setup.

🔗Maintenance-Free Powersport AGM Battery for ATV, Motorcycle, and Outdoor Use

I had the chance to test out the Power Sonic Battery PTX20LBS-FS in my motorcycle, and I must say, it made quite an impression. This 12-volt battery with 18 ampere hours and an impressive cold cranking amperage of 200 proved to be extremely convenient to use. The best part? It's spill-proof and completely sealed, ensuring maximum safety.
The maintenance-free aspect of this battery was a game-changer for me. With no need for acid handling during activation, I could worry less and focus on my riding adventure. Just like the product description stated, all it took was to pop it into my motorcycle and I was good to go!
However, I noticed that it wasn't the most durable battery I've ever used. The lifespan of this battery wasn't as long as I hoped for. Despite this, the Power Sonic Battery still worked perfectly for its intended purpose and provided plenty of energy for my powersport vehicle.

🔗Victron 12V/25Ah AGM Super Cycle Battery: Long-Lasting, High-Performance Solution

https://preview.redd.it/vtoxuw2tz34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5163144040f6ac75c2d2f4c82531f8e4f9be3722

The Victron Energy BAT412025081, also known as the 12V/25Ah AGM Super Cycle Batt. (M5), has been a game-changer in my daily life. I've had the opportunity to use this battery in numerous scenarios and I must say, I can't help but share my experience.
Firstly, the AGM Super Cycle technology is truly remarkable. Unlike traditional batteries, these super cycle batteries can handle occasional or frequent partial discharges without any issues. Their smaller size and reduced weight make them an attractive choice for those who are particular about the battery size.
However, there are a few drawbacks that I noticed too. While the battery is designed to prevent sulfation during deep discharge, one has to be careful with frequent deep discharges, as it could reduce the battery's life span. Also, the slightly higher voltage during recharge can strain some battery connections.
Overall, I am quite impressed with this battery's performance. It has proven to be reliable, easy to use, and quite efficient, even with the occasional drawbacks.

🔗Interstate 12V 26Ah AGM Battery with Nut and Bolt Terminal for Universal Fit

I've been using this Interstate Batteries 12V 26Ah SLA/AGM battery in my daily life for quite some time now, and I must say, it's been a game-changer! . Not only does it fit perfectly in my vehicle, but it's also incredibly reliable and long-lasting. The AGM technology ensures it's maintenance-free and spill-proof, making my life so much easier.
However, it's worth mentioning that the battery is quite heavy, which can be a bit of a hassle when transporting it. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient battery replacement.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Schumacher Electric DSR ProPSJ-2212 12V 18Ah Jump Starter Replacement Battery. As someone who relies on jump starters frequently, I was excited to see if this one would live up to the hype.
The battery itself is a maintenance-free AGM technology, which means I no longer have to worry about adding acid or water. I found this to be a huge time-saver, especially when I was in a rush. Additionally, it was important to note that this is a replacement battery and not a complete starter pack, so I had to use my existing cables and hardware.
One standout feature of this battery is the charging speed. It quickly charges and then switches to maintain mode, protecting the battery from overcharging. This was particularly helpful when I was using it on a daily basis.
The sturdiness of the battery was also impressive. It had a nice heavy case that gave me confidence in the battery's durability. The cords were long and easy to manage, which was a nice bonus when I needed to reach the back of my vehicle.
Overall, the Schumacher Electric DSR ProPSJ-2212 12V 18Ah Jump Starter Replacement Battery performed well and I was very pleased with my purchase. Its sturdiness, charging speed, and convenient maintenance-free technology make it a great addition to anyone's tool kit.

🔗Victron 12V/25Ah AGM Super Cycle Battery

I have been using the Victron Energy BAT412025081 12V/25Ah AGM Super Cycle Batt. (M5) for quite some time now, and I must say, it's been a game-changer. One of the main highlights I've experienced is the ability to handle repeated 100% discharge without any worries. The Super Cycle battery's new paste in the positive plates allows for slightly less sensitivity to softening.
Another aspect I appreciate is the significant reduction in sulfation during deep discharge, thanks to new additives in the electrolyte. However, I have noticed that the weight of this battery seems to be fractionally more compared to its standard Victron counterparts.
In terms of downsides, the battery's dimensions and weight are slightly larger and heavier than the standard Deep Cycle AGM batteries, which might be a concern for those with limited storage space or weight restrictions. Overall, the Victron Energy BAT412025081 has proven to be a reliable and efficient solution for my needs, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

🔗Affordable, Portable Sealed Lead-Acid Battery

The Mighty Max battery has been a game changer in my experience. I switched to this sealed lead-acid battery when my old one started causing issues, and I have not looked back since. I use this 12V, 100Ah SLA battery to power my outdoor devices, and the consistent power supply it provides is quite impressive. The rechargeable feature is definitely a plus, allowing me to use the same battery multiple times without worrying about constantly having to replace it.
One of the aspects that I appreciate the most about this product is its durability. Despite being subjected to various outdoor conditions, the Mighty Max battery has been quite rugged and held up well. The spill-proof feature is a welcomed addition as well, ensuring that my device never gets damaged due to accidents.
That being said, there are a couple of minor downsides to this product. One of them is the weight; it is a bit on the heavier side, which may pose inconvenience when transporting it. Additionally, while the battery offers a decent amount of capacity, the performance under heavy load conditions can be somewhat inconsistent at times.
In summary, the Mighty Max battery, despite its minor flaws, has been a reliable and long-lasting addition to my device setup. Its portability could be improved slightly, but overall, I am quite pleased with my purchase.

I've been enjoying using the Mighty Max Battery Ml15-12 in my daily life. With a voltage of 12V and a capacity of 15Ah, it's been a reliable power source for my various needs. I especially love how it's compatible with many devices, like the Goal Zero Escape 150 Power Pack and the Razor Dirt Rocket SX500.
One of the highlights is the battery's spill-proof design, which ensures that it can be used in any position without worrying about leaks. It's also rechargeable, which makes it an eco-friendly option for those looking to reduce their carbon footprint.
However, one downside I've noticed is the battery's weight, at 8.78 pounds, which can make it a bit cumbersome to handle. Additionally, it can be challenging to locate all the necessary mounting accessories as they are not included in the package.
Overall, the Mighty Max Battery Ml15-12 has been a trusty companion for my power needs. With its various compatibility options and spill-proof design, it's a reliable choice for those in the market for a high-performance battery with a long service life.

2024.06.02 08:34 overgrownfawn I asked ChatGPT to give me a breakdown of what to look out for on June 4

I'm very interested in the General Elections but can't follow political news due to time constraints. So I took GPT's help and asked it several questions to help me understand the situation and to tell me what to focus on during the election results. Questions I asked were:
  1. Browse the Internet and explain to me what I should look out for while watching the Indian election results all day on June 4
  2. Give me an hour-to-hour breakdown of what to expect on that day
  3. Give me the key battleground states and tell me what a "good" performance would look like for the BJP/NDA in those states
  4. What would be a good performance for the BJP/NDA on a national level?
  5. How many more seats would the BJP/NDA need to win in which states to secure 400 seats realistically

Browse the Internet and explain to me what I should look out for while watching the Indian election results all day on June 4

While watching the Indian election results on June 4, here are key points to focus on:
1. Major Alliances and Parties:
- BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party): Led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP is expected to be a significant contender. Pay attention to their performance, particularly in stronghold states like Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.
- INDIA Alliance: The opposition coalition, including the Indian National Congress and several regional parties. Watch for their performance in states like West Bengal and Bihar, where regional dynamics are crucial.
2. Key Contests and Battleground State:
- States like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Bihar are pivotal. These states have a large number of parliamentary seats, and their results can significantly impact the overall outcome.
3. Voter Turnout and Trends:
- Voter turnout can indicate the level of public engagement and support for various parties. High turnout in specific regions could favor the ruling party or the opposition, depending on the demographic and historical voting patterns.
4. Economic and Social Issues:
- Economic concerns, such as unemployment and agrarian distress, are major voter issues. The performance of the BJP's welfare schemes and economic policies will be scrutinized, especially in rural areas heavily dependent on agriculture.
5. Hindu-Muslim Relations:
- Communal issues, particularly the controversy surrounding the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, could influence voter sentiment. This has been a polarizing topic, with potential impacts on voting behavior in key constituencies.
6. Newly Formed or Shifting Alliances:
- Keep an eye on any last-minute shifts in alliances or defections among major political figures, as these can dramatically alter the political landscape. For instance, any changes within the INDIA coalition or defections to the BJP-led NDA can affect the results.

Give me an hour-to-hour breakdown of what to expect on that day

Here’s an hour-by-hour breakdown of what to expect on June 4 during the Indian election results day:

2024.06.02 07:41 Public-Detective-842 Stopping sertaline

I’ve been taking sertaline for a couple months now. The psych started me out on 50 mg then after 2 weeks went to 100 after about a month of that I decided on my own to go back down to 50 and then a few weeks later down to 25. I’ve had days were I forget to take it and I get a terrible headache and if I forget for 2 or more days I start feeling awful and a strange lightheaded dizzy sensation if I move around too much( not sure if that’s what they call brain zaps or if that’s something else). I had this going down on dosage as well for a few days. I recently ran out and my prescription had expired so if I want more I’d have to go back to the psych or just a regular doctor but tbh telling people about my anxiety causes me anxiety and I just don’t want to do that. I also hate feeling dependent on a medication. So I quit cold turkey. I started looking up withdrawal symptoms but stopped after reading a few cuz I know that’ll just cause more anxiety lol. Not sure if these symptoms I’m having are all from quitting or not but I’ve been having lightheaded/dizzy feeling when I move my head, I’ve felt mood swings where I’ve just cried and felt worthless then 10 minutes later I’m fine, I get terrible headaches and just feel super icky. Some people have told me that quitting cold turkey will bring on major anxiety and panic attacks, I haven’t experienced that but it’s only been a few days so I’m scared it might when it’s fully out of my system. To anyone who’s quit cold Turkey after a few months how long did your symptoms last? Anything that you found helps?

2024.06.02 07:26 cchamming Finally Cured after 9 months

I just received my third negative test after having MG for appx 9 stressful months. Sharing this so others will hopefully not lose hope.
I first started getting symptoms around mid 2023 - symptoms was white penis discharge.
I went to a regular GP thinking it might be chlamydia and was prescribed doxycyclene - the symptoms cleared for maybe a week and returned worse than before.
I then went to a different GP specialising in sexual health and was given doxy and moxifloxacin. That didnt work and symptoms returned. I then did two separate rounds of minocycline treatment (first one was incorrect dosage). It's after these treatments I theorise that my strain of MG became macrolide resistant and extremely difficult to cure (my sexual partner who gave me the infection was able to easily treat it with two rounds of antibiotics).
One of the most difficult issues I faced is that most doctors just don't know much about MG and how to treat it. I think in total I visited eight different doctors which becomes expensive and mentally draining.
I was then fortunate to be able to get treated at MSHC, a world leading researcher for MG. I tried multiple different rounds of different antibiotics but eventually they told me I need to live with my symptoms and hope it goes away on its own.
Up until this point I had tried: doxycyclene, minocycline, moxifloxacin, sitafloxacin, metronidazole and lefamulin.
This where things got interesting and also incredibly frustrating. At this point, I should have been treated with Pristinamycin which is recommended for macrolide resistant MG when all other treatments have failed - however, due ridiculous red tape in Australia, no doctor I spoke with in my state was able to get access to it.
So after I was treated for Lefamulin, the symptoms continued (white discharge). As MSHC no longer wished to treat me, I went to a new clinic after a couple of months (of utter discomfort!). The clinic was able to see that after my course of Lefamulin, the MG strain was no longer macrolide resistant!!
I did another round of metronidazole and minocycline - and also did two weeks of doxycyclene that I had laying around. White discharge stopped!
Have been tested now three times over a period of two months and it's all negative!!
As excited I am to be negative, now my body is recovering. All the antibiotics messed with my body and even my skin has suffered. I have acne now that I never used to have, likely from the medication messing with the bacteria on my face. I also get random bloating, occasional discomfort in my gut region and tinnitus in one ear.
To add to that, I wake up now with sticky precum like discharge. I suspect it's related to pelvic muscle issues. All these strong medications have made me anxious about my health and gut microbiome.
My advice to anyone with MG: don't give up. Do your homework especially regarding the medications and dosage,, find a doctor who knows about MG or is willing to learn. A doctor who doesn't know about MG or STIs might risk giving you unnecessary medication that will needlessly mess with you body. Good luck!!

2024.06.02 06:44 Panel_Publishing Is it okay for me to change what time I take my medicine

So recently they upped my dosage of fluoxetine from 20 mg to 40 and before I would sleep until 3:00 p.m. but my anxiety got worse and it messed up my schedule so now I'm going to bed earlier
I wake up around 9:30 or 11:00 which means when I wake up my medicine feels like it's out of my system
I never really paid attention to when I take my medicine before. it was just whenever I got up. but since I've only been taking a higher dosage for a few days I don't want to mess it up because I know it takes a few weeks for this medicine to work

2024.06.02 06:36 AshamedAnalysis9507 Lowering dosage again

Recently lowered from 45mg back to 40 mg. Happened to fall within the week I got sick with Covid but that didn’t bother me much. I know the last time I tapered down from 50mg to 45mg I had dizziness as a main side effect. This time I’ve realized I have that dizziness coming again but I’ve also not been hungry like..at all. I get random bouts of hunger but nothing like usual. I’m not even hungry really by dinner time if I’ve worked a full shift moving around a lot all day when normally I’m like…starving at that point or shaky from not eating. Unsure if this is a possible effect of lowering my dosage or if it could be some other health thing I need to look into.

2024.06.02 06:33 syfinvvv Cat peeing out of litter box (occasionally)

Hello... I have a 3 year old female cat named Nebbie and I've have had her since she was just a couple months old.
I've been having this issue for a really long time now, where she likes to pee randomly outside of her litter box. It always seems to be on softer objects, such as bath mats or blankets/pillows on the floor, or boxes, like clothes hampers or suitcases. She also has a history of being tampered with to the point of anger by previous roommates and other cats in the household.
She has been to the vet on several occasions for this issue, once where she had a UTI, but has since been cleared of any medical issue since. She's been put on different mg dosages of Gabapentin a couple of times, I have feliway diffusers installed throughout the house, she has two litter boxes that are cleaned once a day, has a regular diet of a 50/50 wet and dry food, is given a treat everytime she uses the litter box, has plenty of toys and areas to sit up high and perch, is given lots of attention and play time... I'm officially at a loss. None of it seems to help! She has no issues with pooping in the box, but peeing is another battle.
I've recently moved out and into my boyfriends house, where I was told fairly early on that if the peeing issue wasn't resolved, she would need to be rehomed. I thought that maybe since the scent of any possible pee smells were gone with the new house, this would all magically be better... well, I'm at that point now that shes peed in my suitcase (a month after moving in). Please help? Any advice?

I find myself consistently taking a nap because I get tired easily. Can anyone relate? If so, have you done anything to mitigate this?

I struggle a lot and I never had a friend irl. I try to be myself, I try to do stuff, I try to socialize, and I’m always tired. I don’t hate myself, but I hate on how tired I get consistently. I recently tried drinking 300 mg of caffeine with no difference at all.

2024.06.02 05:44 Tamingtheshrew_ Insulin resistance went down with metformin but high HbA1C

Hi everyone, I’m dealing with both insulin resistance and prediabetes. I’ve been on metformin for quite a while, but it didn’t seem to be making much of a difference. About three months ago, my dosage was increased to 2000 mg per day. This has brought my fasting insulin down from 22 to 11.7, which is good news. However, my HbA1c remains stubbornly high, fluctuating between 6.1 and 6.3.
I’m frustrated because I eat healthy, go to the gym four times a week, and do both cardio and weight training. I rarely eat processed food and am mindful of the quality and quantity of my meals. Has anyone else struggled with high HbA1c values despite being on metformin? What helped bring it down for you? A combination of metformin with other meds? I would love to hear some success stories. Thanks!

2024.06.02 04:29 wherethemotto Is 450mg worth considering?

20m. Was on 300 mg for a long time but it seems to have lost some of its effects over the period of the 1 1/2ish years I’ve been on. Got ADHD/depression mix that didn’t respond well to stimulants. Only Wellbutrin seems to make any dent. It still think it helps now to an extent but I miss the good periods I had with it a lot and am pretty unstable as far as mood goes generally. However I haven’t gone up to 450 because I don’t want to get caught chasing that honeymoon phase but I’m reconsidering now. Anyone got any recommendations/advice/experience? I’d love to hear it

2024.06.02 04:17 Fit_Accountant4359 Did lamictal make my bf not find me attractive?

So my boyfriend and I have been together for 8 months now and have always had an extremely electric and passionate relationship. We fell involve quickly and moved in together. We were so happy for 6 months and were always talking about how we had no idea it was even possible to be so involve. He always seemed extremely attracted to me and we couldn't keep our hands off each other. (s3x was insane!)
At around the 6 month mark he went into a manic episode and was diagnosed Bipolar 1 with psychotic features. After being on Abilify for a month and a half, the episode passed and he was in reality again but was now in a depressive episode so he was prescribed Lamictal. When he first went on it I did notice some emotional blunting and it felt like he was not very in tune or sensitive to my emotions anymore which was not like him at all. He went up in dosage two weeks later and it got a little worse. He was very robotic and not empathetic at all anymore and it made certain conversations a little more hurtful. He also was not getting very h*rd anymore and s3x was way less passionate. He went up in dosage again about a week ago and it felt like he really did not care about me at all anymore.
When I talked to him about how I was feeling he told me that he has never been physically attracted to me but that he was so attracted to my personality. This really broke my heart and was so confusing. Once I reminded him of the first 6 months of our relationship and all of the things he told me he was super attracted to, he seemed to 'remember' and said he fully believed that he had not been attracted to me but he doesn't know why he felt that or said it because he knows its not true.
We talked to his best friend who had been with us through the relationship and he was really confused too and said that it just wasn't true and that they talked about how into me he was.
He also said some things about my appearance in the manic episode and how he felt really guilty about wishing I was curvier. During the conversation where he told be he hadn't been attracted to me physically he also said that he would compare me to other women a lot and that he just likes a curvier body type.
All of this has been so painful and weird and neither him nor I know what's real and what is medicine or random psychosis. We both want so badly to just get back to our old life and even on the Lamictal he says that he loves me so much and wants to be together forever.
So... Im wanting to hear from other people who have had any experience like this who can share. I found some other stories kind of similar to this on here about Lamictal or other mood stabilizers making people loose the spark or not feel attracted and it brought me a lot of comfort.

However I haven’t gone up to 450 because I don’t want to get caught chasing that honeymoon phase but I’m reconsidering now. Anyone got any recommendations/advice/experience? I’d love to hear it

2024.06.02 03:58 Thunder_Cunt_Punch Feel like I'm going crazy, is this really just E2 issues?

About nine months ago, I experienced a significant breakdown, grappling with anxiety and depression for several weeks. Exercise, therapy, and personal effort helped me recover from that period.

I've always suspected that I had low testosterone levels, and recent tests confirmed this—my initial results were 320 ng/dL and 6.0 pg/mL. I tried to schedule an appointment with an endo, but the earliest available slot wasn't until July. My GP was willing to start treatment, though the dosage was not ideal. For the first three months, I received 100 mg of testosterone monthly, which didn't seem to make a difference. Then he changed to 100 mg every two weeks, starting with my first injection on May 22.

However, last Saturday, I began experiencing anxiety that quickly spiraled into fatigue and a general feeling of malaise. This past week has been a roller coaster, with multiple mood swings each day. I consulted my GP yesterday, and we adjusted the dosage to 20 mg every other day. I administered the new dose this morning but found myself overwhelmed by rumination, anxiety, and stress. Despite these feelings, I managed a short bike ride to get some movement, which helped me feel almost normal, though I’m still dealing with some residual anxiety.

I'm really concerned that I might have bipolar disorder or some other underlying condition, especially given the events of the past week. I’m eager to hear if anyone else has experienced similar issues or can offer insights into my situation.

I appreciate any advice or support. Thank you.
