i am currently a student studying abroad in aix-en-provence, france with a host family. every night and morning, i see several of these insects that look like very small moths. they are around the size of a grain of rice and keep popping up no matter how many i kill. they are light to dark brown in color and do not behave like typical moths (flying towards lights and such) but they move in the same erratic pattern and like to buzz around my head.
any help identifying these and how to handle them would be much appreciated! i am horribly afraid of bugs and losing sleep over this, so i’m hoping to get to the bottom of this. thanks so much!

Some healed and hairy pieces here from Aix-en-Provence, Cairns, Mexico City, Seattle, Denver and Boulder. Oldest piece is from around 2013. Lots of work to go and some shoddy work to clean up on the bicep but happy with how it’s starting to fill out!
