How long does it take to get a battery module replaced?

2024.05.19 02:09 Bloodmoonwolf How long does it take to get a battery module replaced?

We bought a slightly used 2020 EV from a reputable dealership in another state Within a week we got a "check engine" light. Battery module 5 needs replaced. Because of this, the car does not charge properly and just sits in the garage while we wait on our local dealer to get the part.
It's already been a week and they have not been able to give us a time timeline on when they will get the part.

2024.05.19 01:58 imyugioh Where can I buy replacements for these?

Where can I buy replacements for these?
I inherited my mom’s old 1995 Gen 2 Montero. It’s been constantly worked on for the past maybe 10 years, most of them being spent labeled inoperable. I’ve been fixing this car on my own as a personal project, fixing it up little by little and giving it the care it deserves. Finding replacement parts for this almost 30 year old car has been difficult. I’ve googled the make and model along with the part I need replacing, so I’m hoping someone here is able to help me out. These are a couple things I’m looking for; a new review mirror, preferably original, and the two wiper fluid reservoirs in the front engine bay. I’ve checked cars.com and partsgeek but both turned up empty handed. If anyone knows where to get parts for these cars please let me know.

2024.05.19 01:47 chocobeaus Computer shuts down when optimizing cores with Ryzen Master

Pretty much what the title says. Back when BG3 released I had this issue a lot while playing it. Computer would just randomly shut down and start back up on its own rather quickly. Event Viewer showed error 46 about component: memory. My temps are completely fine with both GPU and CPU (CPU was 55-60). I thought it was my PSU so I replaced it with a Corsair RMx Series RM850x 80 PLUS Gold but problem still persisted. Nothing is overheating, RAM passed on memtest, ran cinebench and stress tests that all passed as well.
Then it hit me, maybe it’s because I optimize cores with Ryzen Master to undervolt my Ryzen 7 5800x. Disabled optimizer and the problem went away. Fast forward to now, I reoptimized my cores and was playing Big Kitty Little City. Game stuttered and shut down happened. Didn’t even think it was a visually demanding game for that to happen.
My computer is a prebuilt which I have updated the PSU, AIO (Corsair iCue H100i Elite 240mm) and fans so far. Otherwise here are the other specs:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1720818-REG/ibuypower_slatemr_289a_gaming_desktop.html/specs
Any idea why this happens? What can I do other than just never being able to optimize my cores?

2024.05.19 01:45 Correct_Tiger_9533 FNAF 3 Agressive Nightmare Mode Consistient Strategy Updated by fnafking_93

Hey guys! fnafking_93 here! I just want to pause for a moment and explain a few updates to my new strategy on Agressive Nightmare Mode! Please ignore my last post, because that one is not updated and will give you some mental taxing states!
For Agressive Nightmare Mode, there are a few things that I found out:
  1. Springtrap can not enter a vent at midnight, he can't kill you at midnight, niether can he appear at your window during this time frame
  2. During the 12 AM segment, you'll be rebooting all systems 2 times (This will take about 30-40 seconds) After your finished, go back to camera system and seal the vent he's nearest to! After that, go back to the matience panel and reboot "Camera System." After that, 1 AM should roll around. If it doesn't you can try rebooting ventelation if you want but it's optional and is more risky. The rationale behind "Reboot All" is because this will prevent any sudden systems going offline before 2 AM, of course they can go offline during 1 AM but it's very unlikely to happen!
  3. Once 1 AM rolls around, you have to be more cautious with Springtrap and keep a close eye on him! What you'll be doing until Springtrap appears at the window is spamming the camera panel up and down until he appears. If your not sure where Springtrap is, follow this: Click on Camera 10 and spam the camera panel up and down, if he's not there repeat this throughout all the cameras to prevent a Phantom BB, Phantom Puppet, and Phantom Chica jumpscare, doing this will help you look at camera's 7, 8, 9 without any trouble since they can't attack when you have the camera down and they will be gone once the monitor is back up. They sometimes can be still on the camera, but it's very unlikely as well. Once you find Springtrap while following this strategy, seal the vent he's nearest too! If he's in Camera 5, or 2 seal the nearest vent! If he's in Camera 2 prepare to play audio in Camera 2 because his next move will be the window, sometimes he can go back to Camera 5 or 6 which is good! If he goes to Camera 3 or 4 do not worry, there is no vent he can get in through. Follow this until he appears at the window! Of course, do not get distracted and keep your volume up! Having this in mind, will always keep you prepared for sudden scenario's!
  4. Once he appears at the window, play audio in Cam 2! If he goes there, seal Camera Vent 15 and do not reboot audio right away! There's a good chance, he'll appear at the window again while your rebooting and will run by the window while the maintenance panel, sometimes he'll go back to Camera 5 which is a good thing! Basically, it's a 50-50 chance! If he goes back to Camera 5, seal Vent Camera 13 and spam the camera up and down again until he appears at the window, repeat the cycle! If he appears at the window again, play audio again in Cam 2 again! There's a very little chance he'll appear at the window for a third time! Most of the time as an ideology if mine, if you play audio in Cam 2 for the first time mostly he'll go back to Cam 5 after the Cam 2 sequence! Basically, you'll be repeating this the entire night! This strategy mainly focuses on dealing with Springtrap and elminates any distractions like Phantom Foxy appearing!
This strategy will take some time to get used too! But you should master it in no time and I have defeated Agressive Nightmare Mode pretty consistiently now with this strategy I made up! Of course, you still need some luck like hoping Springtrap doesn't run by the window or enter an unsealed vent while your rebooting systems at 1 AM onwards! But most runs for new players for this strategy can get you to 2 AM - 4 AM and sometimes 5 AM or even complete first try! But sometimes you just get extremely unlucky and die for the cause! This strategy does eliminate some RNG!
If your reading this strategy: Give it a shot and let me know what you think! The goal for this strategy is spend more time on Springtrap and not rebooting devices like every single rotation! This will still require luck but it's pretty consistient once you master the strategy!
If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible! Thank you for reading this strategy! I hope it helped you and I'll see you in the next one!

2024.05.19 01:44 Ill-Combination-7256 CS2 FPS experience for CPU bottleneck under single-core load

Initially started playing CS2 with an R7 5800X + RTX 3080 + 32GB RAM (3200 MHz), average 230-250~ average FPS on Dust 2, closer to 140-170~ on Ancient. (Dust 2 best performing map, Ancient worst performing map). Originally 350-400~ FPS on CSGO on most maps; I don't have those numbers anymore. First thing I noticed was that CS2 improperly utilizes the CPU, stacking all of the GPU rendering load onto 1 core, causing the CPU to only be at 5-10% utilization (1 core maxed out) with my GPU sitting pretty at 30-40% usage and my FPS barely at my refresh-rate (240 Hz). CSGO had this problem as well, but not nearly as bad. Obviously, this is a problem that thousands of people have run into.
Fast-forward; I got a job that requires me to be out of state 2-3 weeks out of every month, so I sold my desktop and bought a reasonably-priced Alienware M15 R5 laptop (Win10, 1080p, 360 Hz (excessive), R9 5900HX, RTX 3070 (80%~ performance compared to desktop version), 32GB RAM (2667 MHz). The 5900HX is not really comparable to my previous 5800X, obviously. Still, I expected it to be able to play eSports titles reasonably well. CSGO played perfectly fine, 250-300 FPS generally. Valorant currently gets the same, 250-300 FPS (Valorant actually uses all of my cores. Hah).
Out of the box with no launch options, CS2 gets 50-100 FPS depending on the map with this laptop (Inferno and Ancient are especially terrible), only using 5-10% of the CPU (1 core maxed out), 20-30% GPU usage. These FPS stats do not get better by lowering any settings (because of the intentionally-designed CPU bottleneck), but input latency somewhat improves by playing on lowest settings (with FidelityFX disabled). This is, pardon my French, fucking ridiculous. Entirely foreseeable and preventable during engine development, and completely insane to be overlooked without more context. Secondly, Source 2 is over a decade old, so really it's a miracle that anyone thought it was a good idea to release a modern sequel title on this ancient technology.
Before anyone asks, I've done everything possible after 20+ hours of research to try to increase FPS on this system. My best results have been with the "performance" power plan in Windows these launch options (if anyone says "that one doesn't work anymore" I literally don't care, I'm over it and decided to throw everything at it, and these all seem to improve my FPS through a lot of split-testing): -dx11 -coop_fullscreen -force_allow_coop_fullscreen -mainthreadpriority 2 -disable_affinity_preferences -r_max_device_threads 64 -threads 17 -set_power_qos_disable -favor_consistent_framerate +engine_low_latency_sleep_after_client_tick 1 +r_low_latency 2
My FPS has since improved to something resembling a playable experience (90-190 FPS depending on map). I'm aware that I could replace my RAM with a higher clockspeed to further improve performance with a single core, but I have other priorities than spending more time or money trying to improve this. Regardless, I wanted to share what worked for me because there was a huge lack of infomation anywhere in one place. I found these launch options from user Aveyo. Here's his original post; +Rep to that guy: https://www.reddit.com/GlobalOffensive/comments/1ah3eas/comment/kolwa1g/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Either way, this is as good as forcing low-spec players to flock to this game's main competitor just so that they can have a vaguely similar experience with playable FPS. No, sub-100 FPS is not playable for anyone who can tell the difference between 144hz and 240hz and wants a somewhat competitive experience. I can't yet justify spending over $2k on a laptop with a reasonable CPU/GPU combo that would meet my standard because of a single game whose devs are basically telling me they don't care enough to add reasonable multithreading and that I should get over it. Especially when this PC works completely fine for everything else, including playing their competitor's game instead (begrudgingly).

2024.05.19 01:40 JH2466 Trying to decide between the safe and the unsafe choice post graduation

So I’m usually loathe to ask for advice from internet strangers, but I’m genuinely tweaking over this decision and I feel like I need advice and thoughts from people who aren’t connected to me.
I (20m) am a half-Japanese rising senior in college studying electrical engineering. No internship or research this summer, and an okay but very meh GPA (3.12). As this is probably the last summer break of my life, I’ve been thinking a lot about what’s coming next and I’m torn between two paths. I could either start relentlessly applying to jobs to try to get a job in engineering after I graduate, or I could do something completely different and try to move to Japan to teach English as a foreign language for the next year or two, before returning to engineering and beginning my career in earnest.
If I was to go with the latter, I’d apply through the JET (Japan Exchange & Teaching) program, a program facilitated by the Japanese government to set up English speaking foreigners in Japan to assist teachers in elementary through high school language classrooms. They pay you, set you up in an apartment, and cover the flight over if you’re selected.
There are a lot of reasons I want to do it, and also a lot of reasons the thought scares me.
I was born in Tokyo but my family moved to the US when I was around three years old, so I’ve been raised essentially American. However, half my family, including my dad, grandparents, aunt and uncle, and half sister all live in Japan. My family over there is actually larger than my family in the US, which is just my mom and little brother. They are the biggest reason why I want to go. I would love to become closer with my extended Japanese family and to connect more deeply with my culture. Of course, the idea of living is Japan is also sick as fuck, and it’s an opportunity that could actually be once in a lifetime. My Japanese, while not at all near fluent, is around low-intermediate conversational, and if I decided to pursue the JET program I would pick up some Japanese classes at my university next year. Additionally, I kind of feel like something needs to change in my life. I’ve lived in the same college town for 8 years now (high school and then college) relentlessly pursuing these crazy academic goals. I’ve thrown away friends and partners to focus more on school, and I would be lying if I said it all wasn’t starting to weigh on me. Not necessarily burnout but…I often fantasize about being able to escape the rat race, at least for a little.
But on the other hand, I fear that this decision could negatively impact my engineering career in the future. Being a rising senior who hasn’t gotten an internship yet, I already feel behind the curve and the thought of wasting my time and being left behind professionally is a really scary one. I worry that doing the JET program, although personally fulfilling, would be a frivolous diversion that shoots my career in the foot. I’ve been trying to hedge my bets slightly by working on projects on my own time that would be impressive on my resume (building an FM radio transmitter, a synthesizer, a generative art program, stuff like that). I’m just not sure that would be enough to stack up compared to people a year or two younger than me who’ve had internships at FAANG companies.
Since JET applications for 2025 (my grad year) don’t open until fall, I will most likely spend the summer applying for engineering jobs. But given the choice between the two, I don’t know which is the right decision. Both my parents have been strongly encouraging me to go for the JET program (my mom is an ESL teacher who met my dad while teaching English in Japan), and every time I talk about it with my friends they tell me I sound like I really want to do it but keep trying to convince myself not to. That’s probably true, but I want to be realistic. Of course, there’s no guarantee I’m even accepted into the JET program, and there’s a world where I neither get an engineering job nor have the opportunity to move to Japan. Hopefully that doesn’t happen though. Anyway at this point I’m rambling. I just want to get some advice from people with more life experience than me.

Finally Legends league with rushed TH12
I started push to be Crystal in TH8 for gems then little by little I continued.
Not very difficult with the troop boost since I'm in an offensive rush.
Here are my compositions, I mainly played Valkyries, and more recently Witch.
But what a mistake to have signed up for the league lol, I can't attack anymore.

2024.05.19 01:34 Initial-Hurry8026 Thoughts on what an extraordinary achievement Helldivers 2 is, from a veteran live service game developer

Hail, fellow Helldivers!
I’m a game dev with over 20 years experience, half of that on live service games or MMOs, all of it on core combat for action games, on game teams ranging from 10 people to over 600.
I play a ton of hard co-op action games, and I was a huge fan of Helldivers 1. I’m honestly in awe of how good Helldivers 2 is, even after the hundreds of hours I’ve put into it, and how they’ve sustained the pace of updates for so long after launch.
Yes, this is a throwaway Reddit account, I wanted to share some of my thoughts without inviting death threats.
Development
This game must have been in development since shortly after Arrowhead’s last released game, Helldivers 1 (plus whatever DLC and maintenance), so, 8 years give or take (I sent Pilestedt a congratulatory email, but presumably he’s drowning in them, haha).
I ran into the devs at GDC 2019, shared a few drinks and we talked shop about our similar games. They were super cagey but very excited about what they were working on, even moreso when they found out I was a huge fan of HD1. They were clearly already deep in development of HD2 at that point.
This has been discussed elsewhere, but it adds to how impressive this game is: this is the same engine (Autodesk Stingray) as Helldivers 1, a top-down game with 2D gameplay and much lower visual fidelity. Stingray is no longer supported by Autodesk as of sometime after 2018, so most of the features HD2 required would have been built in-house by Arrowhead. To my knowledge there’s only one other studio actively using the engine, and that’s Fat Shark, the developers of (most recently) Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
The AH team has grown massively in size over the past 8 years. I don’t have the exact numbers, but it’s a 5x to 10x increase in size. Scaling up that fast and not ruining your company culture is super hard, and you can see plenty of other studios that have tried to grow so they can build bigger games and have fallen apart doing it.
Helldivers 2 easily has a AAA level of polish. I’ve gone back to HD1 recently, which at the time looked and played super well, and the improvements are night and day. HD2’s production values compare favorably to any random AAA game released in the last few years
Weapons
Building first or third person weapons to this level of quality is extremely expensive. A unique gun for a AAA first person shooter might take 4-6 weeks of artist time and the same (or more) of designer time to set up and tune the gameplay. For any completely new type of weapon, factor in around 6 months of animator time, and a few weeks for a variant that has a different reload animation or similar. E.g. all rifle-sized shotguns might use the same base shotgun animation set, but the continuous reload shotguns would have a different reload animation than the Breaker family. Then you need VFX and audio too.
Vehicles are even moreso, taking months for each, more if they can seat multiple players or have points that contact the ground (e.g. wheels).
Environments
Building environments that look this good is expensive even if you know what you want, having built a prototype version, you then have to iterate on it while you refine the gameplay and then build the final art. Building environments that look this good and are procedurally generated in as freeform a way as in HD2 is mind-boggling. Let alone doing that in a way that runs fast enough. Sure once it’s all up and running you have a ton of variety for relatively cheap, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen the proc gen create a serious gameplay problem, and that indicates very clever design and thorough testing.
AI
AI that works as well as this is expensive to build, and typically computationally expensive at runtime too. In games like Call of Duty or whatever, you have a static environment, with maybe 10-20 active AI at a time, prebuilt navmesh (which is a hand-drawn or generated map that allows AI to move around the environment without having to calculate valid geometry constantly at runtime), and level or encounter designers have hand scripted a lot of what looks like emergent AI behavior. HD2 can’t do any of that; there can be hundreds of enemies active at once, the environments are procedurally generated, AND terrain can be deformed, buildings can be destroyed etc. The AI can’t be scripted to the same degree as on a static map, probably the devs have hints that are procedurally added to the world and not much more. It helps that all of the enemies we’ve seen so far are the “implacably advancing” kind, typically they don’t have any complex behaviors, and instead the design of the character themselves and their attacks carries the gameplay. Smart design. The Illuminate in HD1 were much sneakier, it’ll be interesting to see how that faction translates to a full 3D game with a lot more enemies active at once.
UI
This game has a lot of quality of life features that it’s easy to take for granted, but are hard to build, and hard to retrofit to an existing game, for example:
· A zoomable, pingable minimap (IMO this is a best-in-class minimap implementation)
· A ping system
· Battlepass implementation allowing for not expiring old battle passes.
And all of this is UI-heavy, where UI is one of the most expensive things to make in AAA games. Every project I’ve shipped, UI has been a bottleneck. It doesn’t help that every company basically builds a UI system from scratch, since engines rarely have something shippable built in, and Scaleform (the most prominent UI middleware) went away. And then it takes a ton of iteration to get to a point where a feature is powerful and intuitive to players.
Gamefeel
If you play much of the most highly-regarded AAA shooters, you might not like the feel of some of the weapons in Helldivers 2 by comparison. They often feel slow to use, hard to aim, and punishing of misses, bad timing or bad positioning. Some of this is a polish thing and probably isn’t intended, e.g. scopes that look janky in first person, misaligned reticles and similar stuff. Most of it though looks deliberate, and supports the gameplay they’re laser-focused on building. The weapons are largely useful in very specific situations, and are not power fantasy moments for the player. There are serious tradeoffs, including “if I’m caught by a melee enemy with a Recoilless Rifle out, I’m in trouble”, the most powerful support weapons preventing you from bringing a shield, the snappiest weapons typically only being useful against weak enemies, etc. Most mass-market shooters sacrifice this extreme level of tradeoff in service of making the game feel better to play, and can lack gameplay variety as a result.
Given all of the above, most of the content that Arrowhead has released post ship must have been built alongside the rest of the game. It’s unlikely that they’re able to turn around 3 new weapons, new giant enemies, new mission types etc every month for several months in a row building them from scratch since ship. And yet, the game at launch still felt complete. This is a hard balance to strike. I wonder how much near-shippable content they have in their war-chest, and whether they’ll be able to generate more quickly enough to satisfy the appetite of the community on an ongoing basis.
Balance
Typically on a live game, the same designers build gameplay, ship it, and then balance it in patches post-ship. Sometimes a studio will have a separate “live team”, either dedicated, or rotating members of the dev team through it, but this isn’t common and it doesn’t look like Arrowhead splits the team up like this.
In any case, players always ask why developers ever nerf anything, and it’s for three reasons:
· Typically only a small number of things (weapons, abilities, heroes) are dominant, and a very large number are OK or weak in the current meta – buffing everything else would be extremely expensive, and since it’s the same people doing this work and building new content, it’d reduce the amount of new content the team could make. So it’s much more efficient to tamp down the overpowered things as a priority, and buff some other options at the same time.
· “No nerf, only buff” results in player power creep over time, which makes the game easier, and eventually will require a correction either in the form of a large scale nerf pass or buffs to enemies – both of these are bad: players hate widespread nerfs, and buffing enemies can put the game in a degenerate state where lethality is skewed, or only the best players can compete because they have all the best gear, or you end up in an arms race between player design and enemy design as both teams try to react to player feedback or overall game difficulty.
· Having a small number of overpowered things is much more destructive to a varied meta than a small number of weak things. Say you have 100 abilities and 3 of them are overpowered. Well, now everyone’s only using 3% of the possible content. Say you have 100 abilities and 3 of them are too weak. The other 97% is viable. Overly simplistic, clearly there’s a gradient, but you get the idea.
BTW the pace at which Arrowhead has updated balance is extremely fast for a large PvE game. Some small PvP-only games can react this quickly to a developing meta, but on large-scale games it takes weeks or months of testing and platform certification to ship balance updates on consoles. And “hotfixes”, i.e. very quick responses to critical issues, have a high level of scrutiny on them, i.e. lots of justifiable red tape, and often require crunch.
Community Interaction
It’s extremely rare for developers from large studios at any level to talk directly to the community, mostly because the gaming community burned those bridges long ago, by doxing devs they don’t agree with, sending them death threats, or just generally abusing them publicly and anonymously. No way in hell would I be public facing, and no one at any studio should be required to unless it’s explicitly part of their job. And even then, I feel for community managers. Direct communication from devs is a precious thing, and not one that should be taken for granted or used as an avenue for abuse.
*Salutes* to Arrowhead
Huge, huge kudos to Arrowhead. This game is an absolute triumph. To go from a small team making top-down games, to a medium-sized AAA team that shipped a game that catapulted right to the top of the most-played charts and game of the year lists and has stayed there is a massive accomplishment. I hope you’re all seeing a big payday from this success!

2024.05.19 01:30 Imaginary_Sky_518 I’ve just hit 3mg on saxenda and not losing anymore. Should I Switch to mounjaro?

I’ve lost 9.2kg in 12 weeks on saxenda. Most of that was the first 6 weeks. I was on 1.2-1.8 most of my journey but then the food noise and hunger returned so I was moving up in half doses every week or two. I’d move up 5 clicks and then after a week or two on that dose the noise and snacking would return so then I’d move up again.
I’ve just hit 3mg. My appetite suppression is ok, snacking is under control. But my weight still isn’t moving.
I am on my second last saxenda pen. My doc has given me a script for sax and 5mg mounjaro and I’m trying to figure out whether to stick with sax or switch to MJ.
I’m just worried the same thing will happen with MJ and where I am the higher does are really exy. Like almost triple the cost of the highest dose of sax 😰
For reference, I have insulin resistance. I drink 2-3 L of water per day, I have high protein low carb medical meal replacement shakes x2 daily. Last meal is usually eggs, steak and salad or chicken veg. I have half a slice of sourdough and a snack of cheese and crackers each day. Lately I’ve been craving lollies and getting stuck into them. 😞 I usually get 10k steps in each day. I am working with a nurse practitioner, dietitian and weight loss doc. My doc said to stick with sax for as long as I’m losing and if that stops to switch to MJ. NP says switch to MJ as she thinks it’s more effective. I’m just really worried the same thing will happen on MJ and I’ll be struggling to buy it and not even losing on it anyway. 😔
Any advice or words of wisdom? Thanks so much!

2024.05.19 01:23 JortsClooney Kongolese

Infantry and Archer Civ
-Villager HP +5 per age starting in feudal; +1 pierce armor in castle and imperial
-Fletching, Bodkin, and and Bracer cost no food
-Archer movement speed +5% per age starting in feudal
-Infantry and foot archers regenerate HP
Castle UT: Gold miners generate 10% stone in addition to gold
Imp UT: Infantry (except spearmen line) take no bonus damage
Team Bonus: Foot archers +2 line of sight
Barrack: Full barrack
Range: Arbalest, Elite skirm, hand cannon (no cav archer)
Stable: Light cav and cavalier
Strong monk tech tree and access to bombard cannon with no siege engineers
Any suggestion for what would be a good UU? I thought of replacing imp tech with archers +1 against siege and having UU be fast infantry that resists bonus damage..

2024.05.19 01:23 VonBagel Killer Concept: The Cryptid

Killer Concept: The Cryptid
https://preview.redd.it/i64bqetie91d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8a3890857b60ae6832363902e358a6aaf5644467
Art source here!
I've had this thing tumbling around in my brain for a while, but never knew how I wanted to implement it. I thought for days on what I wanted to do, whether I wanted to go the route of having Bigfoot be some mystical nature wizard druid thing, or play into the stealth aspect. Eventually, after seeing a thread on the main DBD sub just this morning about what mythological or folkloric monsters people would want to see in DBD, I decided to go for stealth, which the real-life Bigfoot is most famous for. It certainly fits into the title I decided to give it.
Unlike my last couple of killers, who I intentionally tried to rate at 'Easy,' this one would be 'Hard.' The power itself is extremely simple, but it's incredibly easy for competent survivors to counter and requires a different playstyle akin to Ghostface. The Cryptid plays like a combination of Mirror Myers and Ghostface in one, having the ability to see through walls, but it has no instadown and relies on ambushing unaware survivors that it knows aren't looking its way.
It's hard to talk more about what is ultimately a concept that already exists in the game, so let's get right to it:
110% speed, 24m terror radius, Tall height (Trapper height)
--Passive: Just A Myth. The Cryptid begins the trial Skulking; while Skulking, it is undetectable, visibly blurry and indistinct, and makes absolutely no noise as it moves. When a survivor views from outside of a 24 meter radius, a Skulking Cryptid periodically fades completely from view. A survivor staring at the Cryptid from within a 24 meter radius for ~2 continuous seconds breaks it out of Skulking, at which point it becomes solid and distinct, is no longer undetectable, and begins making loud growling, chuffing, and footstep noises.
If no survivors look at the Cryptid for 6 continuous seconds, it resumes Skulking automatically. This timer is visible to the killer and resets every time a survivor looks at it, potentially alerting it to hidden survivors.
The Cryptid stops Skulking automatically if it comes within 12 meters of a hooked survivor (in the game proper there would be some finangling to give it leeway for survivors at different elevations), and cannot resume Skulking until it's no longer within this radius. Downed and hooked survivors can stop the Cryptid from Skulking. If the Cryptid becomes undetectable through any means, such as via perks, it begins Skulking automatically and cannot be broken out of its skulk until the undetectable effect ends.
--Power: Forest's Eyes. The Cryptid can only use this power while Skulking. This power operates on a meter; it has 30 charges, drains 3 per second while active, and recharges at a rate of 1 per second. When channeling its power, the Cryptid greatly slows itself and its vision slightly distorts at the edges as the power button is held. After a very short (~1 second) moment, it can see the auras of all survivors within 16 meters of itself, and can see a faint pink cone approximately 2 meters long, representing the direction the survivors are looking in. The Cryptid's aura sight extends outwards by 2 meters each second it spends channeling, to a maximum of 24 meters. A survivor's vision cone is not revealed unless their aura is.
This power acts in almost every respect as Myers stalking with the exception of its brief wind-up time before it reveals anything; it can be dropped instantly and the killer can attack immediately.
ADD-ONS
COMMON
  1. Polished Stones: The aura-reading range of Forest's Eyes extends by an additional 2m/second. The maximum aura reading range is extended by 6 meters.
  2. Brittle Leaves: It takes 0.25 extra seconds for a staring survivor to end the Cryptid's stealth.
  3. Stolen Glass Extends the initial aura-reading range of Forest's Eyes by 4 meters.
  4. Coyote Skull: The survivor which breaks the Cryptid out of stealth will scream and have their aura revealed for 2 seconds.
UNCOMMON
  1. Broken Cellphone: Forest's Eyes regenerates charges 30% faster.
  2. Thick Mud: Decrease the distance the Cryptid can be revealed from by 4 meters.
  3. Discarded Clothes: The Cryptid moves 20% faster while channeling Forest's Eyes.
  4. Bent Rifle: The Cryptid has 30% stun resistance while Skulking
  5. Bloodthirsty Bramble: Survivors damaged by the Cryptid's basic attacks while it's Skulking become hemorrhaged.
RARE
  1. Wolf Skull: Extends the initial aura-reading range of Forest's Eyes by 4 meters. The aura reading range of Forest's Eyes extends by an additional 2m/second.
  2. Dark Leaves: It takes 0.5 extra seconds for a staring survivor to end the Cryptid's stealth.
  3. Human Skull: Forest's Eyes gains 10 additional charges, and regenerates charges 20% faster.
  4. Shattered Bear Traps: Decrease the distance the Cryptid can be revealed from by 6 meters.
  5. Ruined Car Engine: While Skulking, the Cryptid can hear survivors repairing generators from 8 meters further than usual.
VERY RARE
  1. Curse of Wrath: If a survivor ends the Cryptid's Skulking while it's in chase, it immediately gains a tier of Bloodlust.
  2. Curse of Failure: Survivors releasing a generator while the Cryptid is within 6 meters of them causes the generator to backfire and explode as if the survivor missed a skill check. This add-on can only trigger one such explosion every 15 seconds.
  3. Curse of Ruination: Being pallet stunned while Skulking breaks the pallet but immediately ends Skulking. The Cryptid cannot begin Skulking again until 10 seconds pass unless forced to skulk by a stealth perk.
  4. Curse of the Lost: A survivor damaged by the Cryptid's basic attack while it's skulking becomes exhausted for 5 seconds. An exhausted survivor takes 3 extra seconds of staring to end the Cryptid's Skulk.
IRIDESCENT
  1. Fateful Photograph: The Cryptid automatically begins Skulking each time a generator is completed. If it's broken out of its stealth within 10 seconds of a generator being completed, all survivors within 24 meters are blinded (akin to Two Can Play) for 2.3 seconds.
  2. Iridescent Bone Charm: The Cryptid's default movement speed becomes 3.8m/s and it gains a nondirectional lullaby out to 16 meters. Survivors hit by the Cryptid's basic attacks while it's Skulking are instantly put into the dying state.
PERKS
Hex: Curse of the Dancing Forest: The power of this Hex causes the woods to block every avenue of escape or progress, until they're lead right to you. Whenever a survivor is hooked for the first time in a trial, a random Dull Totem on the map ignites with the power of this Hex, and curses that survivor. As long as that survivor is cursed by this Hex, each time they come within 8 meters of a vault location, pallet, exit gate switch, Dull Totem, or generator that is not being worked on by another survivor, that prop becomes blocked by the Entity for them until they are no longer within 8 meters of that prop. The cursed survivor can see the aura of the totem carrying this Hex if they are within 24 meters of it.
This curse also ends automatically if the survivor is ever within 12 meters of the killer for 6 continuous seconds, or if they lose a health state as a result of the killer's basic attack or special attack.
Hex: Primeval Domain: Trespassers will find no respite here, as twisting fog and branch close in, choking the light from their eyes. The power of this Hex becomes apparent in the first 10 seconds of a match. All survivors become cursed at this time, and their render distance is limited to 52 meters; everything beyond this is darkness. Cursed survivors cannot see the auras of anything beyond 52 meters.
A survivor attempting to cleanse a Hex Totem, including this one, has their render distance reduced even further; darkness swallows everything beyond 12 meters of them. Once Primeval Domain is cleansed, the effect gradually abates over the course of 5 seconds until all survivors can see their proper distance.
You Can't Be Real: The shock of your sudden appearance can make even the most jaded survivors question what they're seeing. This perk gains charges over time; it gains 1 charge/second while you are not in chase, and 3 c/second if you are undetectable and not in chase. Upon reaching 100 charges, it fully activates; the next time a survivor sees you and you are not undetectable, they scream, and are highlighted by Killer Instinct for 5 seconds. Then, this perk loses all charges.

2024.05.19 01:22 Popular-Feeling-2238 AC keeps coming on and off (short cycling) when i need it to stay on. Tried everything

On my 2012 Lincoln MKZ the Ac comes on and off whenever it feels like it. Sometimes the clutch will not engage, and randomly come on later. Most of the time when its on, it short cycles. It will rarely stay engaged for longer than 1-2 min, mostly only stays on for 10 seconds at a time, then shut off for a few seconds, then repeat. This destroyed my last compressor which I just had replaced and finally had the system professionally recharged as opposed to the autozone cans i was using on the last compressor (which I thought was the cause of the short cycles) but now with the new compressor and recharged system its the same problem. I even tried switching out the relay with the backup lamp relay (same kind of relay) and I got the same results. I have a check engine light and the code is for having to much air in the aifuel ratio and the car drives fine otherwise so i think it’s unrelated. My mechanic gave me a fuse to put where the relay is supposed to go and that makes the compressor stay on no matter what, which is nice but I don’t want to risk freezing the evaporator. Weathers starting to get hot and I don’t know what my next steps should be at this point. I’m tempted to just throw the fuse in there and force it to stay on. Any suggestions?

2024.05.19 01:16 OldCarWorshipper Would you restore or junk this car?

One of my various vehicles I own is a 1995 Lexus LS400. I purchased it in 2008 with some of the money I inherited from a well-off family member. It was a low mileage, one-owner creampuff at the the time that I got it, but it's now clearly showing its age.
THE GOOD:
A strong running engine with only 145K miles. Those Lexus V8s routinely last up to 300K miles or more.
Transmission rebuilt in 2016.
Timing belt, water pump, A/C compressor, and power steering pump all replaced within the past couple of years.
Totally straight, rust free body.
Power windows and moonroof all still work flawlessly. A/C blows ice cold.
THE BAD:
Exterior paint and leather interior upholstery completely destroyed from age and sun damage.
Faulty weather seal caused a severe water leak during hard rains, soaking and ruining the carpet and frying the amplifier for the car's factory sound system.
Factory stereo receiver no longer works and the climate control display panel is fritzing out.
Steering rack is hemorrhaging fluid due to worn / bad seals.
Metal tube that's part of the engine's smog control system is cracked, creating a dangerous exhaust leak. Repairing it requires removal of the transmission, making it a costly and time-consuming job.
Window tint is peeling off.
At this point I've got other, better vehicles in my possession. Even so, I'm still a little reluctant to get rid of this one since it was bought with part of my inheritance, the rebuilt transmission was a gift from my late father, the engine is good for another 200,000 miles, and those cars still have decent resale value for their age.
What would you guys do with a car like this? Slowly restore it, or sell it off?

Does anyone have any suggestions for what might be going wrong, or what I could try to resolve this issue?
I tried to reinstall the scrapy-playwright also tried to deactivate and then activate my virtual environment.

2024.05.19 01:11 Imaginary_Sky_518 I’ve just hit 3mg and not losing anymore. What do I do? Switch to mounjaro?

I’ve lost 9.2kg in 12 weeks on saxenda. Most of that was the first 6 weeks. I was on 1.2-1.8 most of my journey but then the food noise and hunger returned so I was moving up in half doses every week or two. I’d move up 5 clicks and then after a week or two on that dose the noise and snacking would return so then I’d move up again.
I’ve just hit 3mg. My appetite suppression is ok, snacking is under control. But my weight still isn’t moving.
If you’re on 3mg, how do you find it? Does the hunger return after a week or two? Did it stop being effective?
I am on my second last pen. My doc has given me a script for sax and mounjaro and I’m trying to figure out whether to stick with sax or switch to MJ.
I’m just worried the same thing will happen with MJ and where I am the higher does are really exy. Like almost triple the cost of the highest dose of sax 😰
For reference, I have insulin resistance. I drink 2-3 L of water per day, I have high protein low carb meal replacement shakes x2 daily. Last meal is usually eggs, steak and salad or chicken veg. I have half a slice of sourdough and a snack of cheese and crackers.

2024.05.19 01:10 esatrosa_72 Transfer Student Questions (Engineering)

Hey everyone, I'm looking to transfer to A&M for Engineering in the near future, and I have a peculiar situation that I'm trying to navigate through.
  1. I have a Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Texas A&M Commerce that I did not care about my first time going school. I left with a 2.8 GPA because all I did was goof around and meander my way through my classes. I had no idea what I wanted to be, and honestly I was just in school because my mom wouldn't leave me alone about it.
  2. I joined the military, matured up a bit, decided try school again. Got an associates in Computer Programming with a 3.4 GPA from ACC (This was all done will being deployed to the border and working ridiculous hours.) Turns out I'm not too dumb when I apply myself to something somewhat difficult. However, there have been a lot of layoffs at tech companies here recently, and I've really started to take an interest in engineering.
So my questions are:
Do I even have a chance of getting into A&M with a botched bachelors from an age where I didn't care at all?
If accepted, can I work through the pre engineering courses at TAMU? Or should I just complete the transfer score sheet at another university/Community College and then shoot my shot?
And guidance in the right direction would be super helpful. Thank you for your time.
