2024.05.19 06:48 artkarot Sparking Zero wishlist

Some music that I want to see is music similar to that of the rock osts in dbz kakarot. For example A cruel game or fated finale, those were really good ones. Some sort of ng+. If sparking zero has some sort of replay option like the time machine I would rather have new game plus. Mission replay to be able to replay missions but unlike kakarot it can go up until you quit. Character specific intros like "You'll pay frieza" Loading screen mini games, photo mode, chi chi's commentary, it would be cool to see chi chi's opinions on stuff like goku black or ultra instinct. A hot take instead of the mario kart looking intros I would rather see stuff like goku and vegeta duking it out then like an impact and the landing on something and then the intro lines.

2024.05.19 03:29 No-Ordinary5553 What do I do now?

I'm a 16 year old guy and I just finished writing a novel. Now, I've always loved Shonen anime and I wanted to write something with that style. I personally like what I've written, but that might be due to my lack of knowledge. I don't know if something like that can effectively be portrayed in novel form, and I just don't have enough experience to know.
To provide a bit of context, this is one of those action-adventure stories that heavily relies on action and superpowers. I've created a whole power system for it and the story centers around the characters honing these skills to take down the enemy. I only have a few fights in the book, and a lot of exploring the mysteries of the world for the majority. When these fights do appear, they take that DBZ style with superspeed hand-to-hand combat and the occasional super move. The one thing I make sure to do is focus on the emotional side of things, rather than ACTION ACTION ACTION, but is that enough? What I want to know is, has something like this ever been done before? Is it possible that I can do it too? Or am I just pointlessly writing a flop?
Like I said, I've already finished the book, but I'm not sure if people are even willing to give something like it a shot. I see the statement "Just write a comic!" thrown around a lot, but I have no idea how I'd do that. I know my story would do better as a manga/graphic novel, but I've already spent 3+ years making it a novel.
What do you all think?

2024.05.19 02:49 Unbannable-Redditor Why do I feel that Videl in DBS is a totally different character than in DBZ?

I can't understand or associate Videl from DBZ with her in DBS as being the same person... It seems like a totally different character, quite uncanny... Her personality is totally changed, it just doesn't add up... She's become a mother and has matured but so have Bulma and Chi Chi and they're still the same character personality-wise, does anyone else get that feeling?

2024.05.19 00:09 Worldly_Sort4953 Problems with special techniques and power level since DBZ

In Dragon Ball we have special techniques that make the difference in a fight. Different techniques had different effects on opponents, allowing even weaker characters to defeat stronger enemies.

But since the beginning of DBZ the techniques have all been very similar - a generic Ki blast. Furthermore, they no longer seemed to make a difference. Even though the potential of some was suggested (Special Beam Cannon and Destructo Disc, for example), most fights were won by whoever had the highest power level. The only exception was in the fight against Raditz.

Another thing that bothers me too, is that several techniques have been completely abandoned in the canonical materia. The Special Beam Cannon has not been used again by Akira since the fight against Raditz, returning only in fillers. The same goes for other iconic techniques like the Galick Gun and Final Flash, which were only used once each in the original manga.

Finally, it was also quite annoying that fights are now decided solely by power level. We didn't have any fight where a weaker character managed to win, and all the fights between two fihters with similar power level ended in a stalemate or were interrupted as in the cases of Piccolo vs 17, Goku vs Majin Vegeta and Dabura vs Gohan.
We had some fillers in the anime during the tournament of power, but canonically this rule is omnipresent and tiring.
What are your thoughts on this?

2024.05.18 20:30 Wild_Cellist9861 Gamers Break Away [GBA]

My fellow gamers, for too long has our community suffered the indignation of an intolerable culture that has denigrated, besmirched, exploited, and has outright demonized our culture of unique individuals with a genuine love of a hobby that they see as profitable and progressive. They have taken beloved IP’s (Intellectual Properties) and twisted them into their own personal ideological crusade of undermining and humiliating the core aspects of characters they deemed as “Toxic” or “White Supremacy”. Through the guise and protection of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity) & ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) they have used our influence in the entertainment industry to push their narratives and agendas that have stigmatized our culture with numerous anti-consumer practices that they call “being progressive”. But the truth of the matter is they were never really looking to be a part of our community, they simply wanted to use our community as a tool of activism and propaganda in the entertainment industry as it was extremely profitable, and they wanted inclusion in that division. Ever since GamerGate & Female Frequency, we have had to endure the incursion of forced ideologies, xenophobic behaviors and inferior overpriced products that have never been in our best interest and have been flat out disgraceful towards foreign media.
Before Gaming had become a major source of entertainment, we were often categorized as anti-social or societies rejects where because we found more enjoyment in playing fictional characters and not spending as much time out and about, we never fully assimilated in society (which is a good thing if you ask me). From 1998 to 2007, at the height of innovation, creativity and production, Gaming had reached a golden age in which it had revolutionized society. Hollywood Execs who had ruined the movie industry turned their attention to video games as a source of income since video games had outperformed movies in terms of profit. No one was concerned about gaming, much less diversity or inclusivity until it became profitable. This makes people like SBI look extremely disingenuous as they were not interested in gamers as a community with its own culture. They simply wanted to use it as another weapon in identity politics.
Microtransactions; the hidden enemy to gamer progress and inducer to mental laziness of our community. Microtransactions have been around for a long time; however, it has never been more potent and apparent than in recent years. It has aided in the dismantling and segregation of players on the ideology of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and has created another sub-culture of gamers who have no real drive to be better outside of how much money they put into the game. This has degraded our culture as well as we have become “fat” off transactional gaming but at the same time we have been “starved” of purposeful gaming where our achievements were our sustenance. I am not saying that microtransactions are bad, but when they are exploitative and predatorial like they have been and don’t give gamers room to grow, we become lethargic and unwilling to improve ourselves as gamers. Oversaturated microtransactional games are one of the many reasons why we have become complacent and unwilling to fight against the exploitative tactics used by big brand game companies such EA, Ubisoft, ActivisionBlizzard, NaughtyDog and so many other western business model companies. Western style games were not like this in the past, they had much more depth and actual effort put into them with the gamer in mind. This has not been the case for over a decade and our connection to western developers has been whittled down to just being transactional. That is one of the reasons why you see so many remasters and remakes in today’s gamer community. They have lost their willingness to improve as developers of games and simply accept corporate/share holder rules.
Game journalists also do not have any real integrity or purpose outside of being funded for their involvement in promoting IPG (Identity Political Games) in a positive light to the public whether it’s positively received or not. They are not interested in what we have to say, they all support the same agenda and that is why they are a dying breed. Within the next couple of years, they will be out of the job and more than likely they will not be able to stay in the industry giving how they have responded to past articles that have clearly been scripted on the premise of diversity and racism. Not only that, but most of them are also extremely hostile to the community as they stereotype and defame the individuals that are a part of the community they are supposed to serve. We have been mentally liberated from their lies and coercive tactics as we tend to laugh at their obvious attempt at virtue signaling while hiding their misdoings so that they can play the victim.
My gamer brothers & sisters, I would not suggest the following action that we must take now without good cause. I have weighed our options and the best option for us now is this…...CULTURAL SECESSION. Naturally this is a form of segregation where they would more than likely claim they are being segregated by the dominant culture of the gaming community but that is incorrect. For years now we have been the ones who are often marginalized and ostracized for the smaller portion of our community. And when we aren’t, we’re exploited for more funds so that these companies can stay in business only to subject us to low quality products that coincide with the “WOKE Agenda” that are often huge expenses to these big brands i.e. AAA/AAAA games that will eventually flop for its obvious forced diversity and bug infested product which will undoubtedly piss off the consumer to the point of wanting a refund. Losing copious amounts of capital and stock in the process, not to mention their reputation is permanently marred.
We must separate on every cultural level in terms of entertainment and ideology. We must reject everything from the west that promotes toxic western beliefs, practices, and exclusion from other cultures (i.e. Southeastern Countries such as Japan and Korea). Japan & Korea have been the targets of unjust discrimination from Western Developers, Western Journalists, Western Localizers (The Wokelizers) and Western Society Prejudice regarding their sense of aesthetics as Westerners hate the aesthetic sense of these countries. The reason why they resort to such base tactics isn’t just because it weaponizes the ideal female form but it’s also because they have deep-seated insecurities about their own looks so when they see attractive female characters, they use terms such as “unrealistic” or “hypersexualized” to establish the moral high ground. But the truth is, they want to feel superior to that which is ideal, so they insult and dehumanize this figure that portrays natural female beauty because they see it as an insult to their own social superiority in what they believe is a hierarchy of them being at the top of all other women. Because of this and so many contributing factors, their movies flop harder than the Fat Chocobo landing on a group of enemies and their games seismically fail just as much if not more. We must sever our connection to Western Developers, Publishers, and ALL Western-Centric Entertainment for they seek to mentally enslave us to their Xenophobic ideology.
Let’s define Western Culture and its traits. Western Culture/Society is composed of more than several different ideologies that work in unison with one another to facilitate dominance over multiple aspects of society. Business, Social, Political, Technological, and sometimes even Global Affairs are affected by these ideologies that portray a specific mindset of Western beliefs. What are those ideologies you ask?

These traits are so nefarious and unconscionable that I have a hard time believing that anyone could harbor them. However, given the social, political, and economic climate that we are in, those in power who use their influence on controlling society most definitely possess these insidious traits. Everything that they do is all about control and since video games are the biggest market in the world, they want control over it and the communities built around it to accrue more wealth and to use that wealth to subjugate other cultures. Mainstream media is a tool as well as mainstream organizations and sites to help accomplish this goal.
The government recently announced its intentions towards what they believe is “GamerGate 2.0” and now even the ADL has made an official appearance, referring to gamers as “extremist’s”. We know EXACTLY what they are doing, and they aren’t even trying to hide it anymore because they don’t think we are aware of their motives. This is just a pretext for them to exert even more control and we know why, it’s because they want the influence we as a community have to must serve them. So here is what we do my fellow gamers-
“In light of recent events and years of mainstream stigma, we the members of the Global Gaming Community [GGC] must officially renounce ALL TIES to the corporate western video game market. We have been financially exploited through predatorial monetization schemes, pelted with numerous articles of disdain and intentional misrepresentation from game journalists, news outlets regarding us as dangerous individuals and, even subjected to inferior products not only riddled with bugs but also products meant to push political agendas. For the preservation of our community and its unique culture, apart from a few select game development studios we officially sever all connections to western owned video game companies & their mainstream affiliates. From this point onward, we will no longer support western corporate developers, journalists and publishers that do not coincide with the goals of our community.”
Naturally this is completely optional. If you are okay with the state of the gaming community as it is, feel free to ignore this. But if you wish for real change and a break away from oversaturated monetization in the games you play and the push for radical ideological reform, then you are in the right place. Lets sever these rotted miasmic ties once and for all so that our community can be preserved and made better for future gamers. If you agree with this, share it with whoever you think might be interested. The more gamers who get involved, the easier it will be for us to finally break free from mainstream game companies and their associates.

2024.05.18 04:06 LeeksAreSpinning Are alot of Weiss players/collectors/streamers fans of anime or just like waifu designs?

probably a stupid question but
are you a fan of the anime or just the waifu designs? are most ppl into weiss cultured or ARE THEY POSsers? jk but like, it doesn’t matter eitherway, but im curious. Anime / waifu and stuff has become really mainstream now and weiss/japanese card games are all over apps like tiktok/what not and everything. And ive seen ppl come in and buy DBZ cards and ask “is this a good pull” “what are their names”
also seen some streamers throw cards on auctions and not know the characters when they are pretty well known characters. I guess im mainly talking about auctioneers on apps and buyers,
I mean, its cool im just ultra weeaboo and really surprised how mainstream anime is in usa now

Why does my girl rogue look very disproportionate??
I am genuinely curious if maybe this is appealing body type for females in America maybe and that’s why my girl character has man butt and man back and man shoulders? I don’t understand why this design was chosen for the female… this is very perfect example of why want more choice in character creation with body part sliders and for also height. This to me looks like body type taken from the DBZ budakai PlayStation 2 game :I ….

DBZ isn’t as good as I thought it would be…
As a kid I grew up learning alot about Z, seeing inspired animations of characters fighting eachother in chaotic ways, Super Mario Bros Z and DBZA were basically the most DBZ related content I had because I didn’t have access to the original show. I remember trying to go SSJ once as a 9 year old in my primary school playground.
Now at 19 years old I’m able to actually watch the shows, and I gotta say. I’m close to the end of Z and I have NOT enjoyed it as much as I did with original Dragon Ball which I chose to watch before Z.
If I were to take a personal guess at why, I’d say that perhaps it’s just too much fighting. It is CRAZY to think about, but with Z theres so much more action, not to mention that it’s like twice as long. Like once the Buu saga kicks off there’s no relaxation after Super Buu appears.
Legitimately I’m not kidding when I say my favourite part so far was the Saiyaman arc with Gohan and Videl before the Buu arc started, when watching it I had a genuine smile on my face because it had a strangely similar vibe to original Dragon Ball where it felt more grounded, adventurous and comedic.
Even with my own guess I can’t understand why I prefer Dragon Ball SO much over Z despite growing up only seeing Z related content with high-speed action fights.
I actually think I prefer DBZA now because of the hilarious comedy and how unserious it was most of the time. DBZ feels like it’s trying too hard and taking itself too seriously.

2024.05.17 21:21 Amphicyonidae Tracking Fights without sensing Ki?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think early on in the series, it is established that to keep up with fighters moving at high speed, dbz characters can't just use their eyes, but need to track the ki of the other.
If that is still the case and wasn't directly retconned, how does that work when fighting androids or characters with god ki? Just an aspect that got ignored as the series progressed or does it come into play in the story itself?

2024.05.17 17:13 TheRealestFaker You’re gunna want to read this…

You’re gunna want to read this…
I’ll preface this with the fact that I was an early doge investor, sub 1 cent. I also got in on Eth at 800$. I held when everyone else sold at 10 cents. I’m still holding all the Eth. If I had one choice for next up an coming thing in crypto it would be this…
I’d like to introduce the first meme story coin ever! $PROC! It’s a canonical story with a SOL token to be traded alongside. The story follows the lead singer Paul as he goes from being a nobody to Rock superstar along with his band mates Perce, Rollie and Pete. It’s based in the 1980s rock n roll scene. Here’s what’s separates PROC from the rest:
  1. Very first meme story ever launched. You can check the dates but they launched this as a new genre in crypto. It’s obvious there are shit copies out now, but $PROC was the first
  2. A trading card nft line unlike any others. It captures the characters from the story as well as special items along the way. This is going to be a playable trading card game if you are part of the club that owns the cards. They break it down from Diamond-Gold-Silver-Studio-Mixtape rarities as well as extremely rare Power Up cards. Currently have no available diamonds as they are all spoken for but they do have Golds available, as well as one power up. 580 Trading Cards in total.
  3. They are releasing comics to tell the story which are also 1/1 NFTs. These include the cover of each book as well as individual pages and back cover. This comic is a great way to introduce yourself to the story, as well as get a piece of history by owning a page.
4.Spotify hosts their current mixtape. They have roughly 7 songs available with another release today. That’s right Spotify! Idk how tf they got their music on there but it’s there an booming. Music will also be nfts in the near future they have stated.
  1. Dev team is a group of savages who love great saga stories like DBZ and RP1 as well as Magic the gathering an Naruto. They tirelessly work to create an grow the story as well as everything associated. They surprise me daily with new content. They haven’t sold a coin. The currently are listed on Raydium, Jupiter, FLUXBEAM an ORCA
6.EASTER EGGS, just like RP1 they concealed Easter eggs into the story. This is truthfully my favorite part. One is based off of a golden token from what I can tell but for the life of me I cannot solve it. They stated that the prize for solving their Easter eggs will be massive. The clues as well as the main tour bus chat are all in their telegram.
  1. MERCH They launched an exclusive merch section on their website to purchase $PROC associated stuff. Hoodies, shirts, coffee mugs, slides. The whole 9
8.EARLY I can attest that this is still very early. They have either locked or burned all LP tokens and are rated very well on rugcheck. Only currently 30k MC. Don’t say you weren’t warned about this token when it’s sitting at 500k to 2M MC in this bull run.
I was an early investor into this bc I saw their true potential. I personally think it’s just not been introduced in the right light or to the right group of people yet. They are relentless in their approach to this project an plan on making it a very long term story. I think all of you will be missing out on this massive opportunity if you don’t grab a few tokens from this project. Maybe an NFT. I hold 1.
I can promise at some point this will gain mass appeal just simply from how well the story is being written as well as the maximum effort from the devs, the latter if 2024 an all of 2025 look great for this project. I have never seen anything else like this in my crypto tenure. I am extra fkn bullish on $PROC.
🤘

2024.05.17 12:21 Publicmenace13 In order to beat Saitama you have to represent a problem he can't just punch his way through

To explain it a little better: Even if Saitama one shots the problem, it does not fully solve it, like how it happened in the meteor incident.
Saitama seems just as durable as he is strong. So even if any character started stronger than him, its likely that Saitama will catch up quick. Nobody in OPM verse seems so overwhelmingly strong they will knock him ASAP either.
But you don't have to beat him up. Lets imagine Kid Buu pops up on OPM Earth. Not a guy that can be reasoned with. Did kill everyone in DBZ because he felt like it. If their intention was just erase humanity Boros and Garou should be able to pull this off, and knowledge of time travel seems to be lost.
Or perhaps God will represent an entirely different problem. Maybe killing him is not advised for some unkown reason, hence why he is locked up. Maybe he is gonna pull something that messed with Saitamas morals. He seems versatile enough.

2024.05.17 09:43 DrankeyKrang My best guesses as to the multiple reasons why Banana Guard was chosen

Ok, so obviously people are pretty mad that a free game with a bunch of iconic characters already is launching with one character who isn't highly requested. People are freaking out about how the launch is the most important time for a game's life, and that if there's one singular character that people don't like, the entire game is going to die instantly. So many people are asking, "Why add a character nobody asked for?"
But, hear me out, I actually think this might make sense on a few different levels. I have no idea if any of these reasons were why he was chosen. It's possible that it's a combination of them. But here are the reasons, in no particular order:

Reason 1: He was originally fleshed out in order to be a common enemy in the PvE mode, but ended up so close to playable they just ended up going for it.

This is what I assume lead to the idea in the first place. PvE mode required a bunch of new content, and Banana Guard was part of some campaign. He was already a summonable item in the Beta, which gave them a head start already, but all he really did was run across the stage back and forth. So they had to flesh him out a bit for him to work.
So they gave him a bunch of new animations, a few silly attacks, maybe a couple dodges, maybe they made him playable as part of a developer debug mode to test him out (which is EXTREMELY common, by the way), and realized one day "oh crap, this guy is like 99% of the way to being playable!" They could either leave it or say "fuck it, let's just finish it and put it in the game!"
I assume it was just a really easy character to add at the end of the day, and that he'll end up being a very simple character as a result. Essentially a playable goomba. Which leads to my next guess:

Reason 2: Joke characters are popular in fighting games.

If you watch Adventure Time, you'll know that Banana Guards are basically completely useless. They never do anything cool at all, at any time through the entire show, and end up getting completely decimated nearly in every scene. They're weak, stupid, and totally useless cannon fodder.
So, being weak, and being totally irrelevant, makes them a pretty good candidate for purposefully bad.
It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's a staple of competitive fighting games. Dan Hibiki, Pichu, Roll, Hercule, and dozens more I don't really care to research. Like it or not, there's a huge audience that loves picking the shitty, weak, broken character and styling on their opponent anyway, giving them an additional handicap to overcome. In a way, I really can't think of a better character than Banana Guard for this role. That's practically their role in Adventure Time to begin with.

Reason 3: No Publicity is Bad Publicity.

Whether you agree or disagree, chances are, you've heard this statement. And this outrage, I wouldn't be surprised if that was part of why specifically he was chosen for a relaunch character. We need people talking about the game, so why not have people talk about a totally out-there character? A few clickbait articles about the new character everybody hates? That's a huge new audience that's hearing about Multiversus for the first time, and learning it came back.
This creates controversy, and gets people talking. Talking about Multiversus, creating free word-of-mouth advertising.
Personally I think that's giving WB marketing WAY too much credit, and frankly I don't think they're smart enough to intentionally do that. With all the Banana hints on Twitter, I think it's pretty clear that, regardless of what the community thinks is obvious, THEY truly believe it to be an awesome, hilarious character. That it's just hilarious to play as a Banana in a fighting game.
But intentionally or not, I think it's working. I've seen WAAAAAAAAY more discussion about Banana Guard in the past 6 hours than ANYTHING pertaining to the Joker, who I think we can all agree, is a billion times more popular and iconic. Joker is expected. Banana Guard is controversial.
Which actually leads me to my next guess:

Reason 4: To create Fortnite Brand Confusion, and Capitalize on Popularity of Minions (yes really).

I'm not sure if this reason is genius or stupid. But look at Fortnite. In every single advertisement for the game, EVERY SINGLE ONE, they advertise Peely front and center. He's practically the game's mascot behind Jonesy (the blond guy). And I'm sure kids LOVE Peely, and going around shooting people as a giant Banana Man.
Obviously Banana Guard isn't literally Peely, but I can see them adding him in as a way to attract Fortnite players. "We can't get Peely, buuuuuut we got somebody else pretty close!"
Also I realized when describing Banana Guard from Adventure Time, there's quite a lot of overlap between them and the Minions from Despicable Me. Both are dumb, silly, useless, incompetant Yellow stubby "funny" boneheads. I really wonder if Banana Guard was chosen to be the honorary Minions Rep.

Reason 5: Hype is a Marathon, not a Sprint.

This is why I think, specifically, he's being released on Day 1 (assuming that is, indeed, the case) rather than, say, Dexter or Beetlejuice. Or any other big heavy hitter.
People are panicking right now, so hard, that Multiversus will be "dead on arrival". That it'll die unless it receives 10 Banger new characters day 1.
And I get the fear. Lots of Live Service games die. You need to hook an audience in. But here's what I think: They already did that just fine.
The game's been offline for a year, and their "Mic Test" exploded on the internet. People want this game to just come back. People are chomping at the bit. People spend every single day bitching on this subreddit about them not saying enough, or not coming back fast enough.
People are hyped, but more importantly, they need to STAY HYPED. Not just on launch, but for the next year, and the year after that, and the year after that, and so on.
I get the idea that Multiversus devs should just blow their load entirely and release 10 new banger top-shelf characters on Day 1 to create the biggest Explosion of Hype possible. But they need to save a heavy hitter for 2 months from now, when people are getting bored and need to be hooked into playing for another 2 months with a new rush of players and brand new content, and so on and so fourth. If the Launch is full of excitement and wonder, with trillions of new players hooked and waiting for new exciting content, and the devs are left with their dicks in their hands with nothing to show because they released all their best characters at launch, where does that leave Multiversus? Pretty much exactly where they were at the end of the Beta.
And I don't think Banana Guard is going to bring that hype back, after a few months have passed. I've seen a lot of people say this isn't the time, that adding a joke character like this at launch will tank the game, and they should save a character like this for the "right time", 10 characters or so from now. But the thing is, what if the hype is dying down then? What if Multiversus REALLY needs a boost that, say, Dexter or Daffy Duck or Beetlejuice could provide? But Multiversus already revealed them at the start, and all they have left is Banana Guard waiting to be released? That's not gonna bring people back after 10 months!
The relaunch already has Joker, [INSERT CHARACTER 3 HERE], and the entire Beta Cast, as well as new PVE content. I'd look at Banana Guard as a side-bonus, not a hype-killer. Just the cherry on top of the sundae. Not enough heavy hitters? Just wait a couple months, when the devs will want to add another influx of new players.
Remember, the Beta didn't end because the characters they picked weren't good enough and people didn't stick around (despite what I've seen some people claim). Players left because, after months of characters being released every 2 weeks at a completely unsustainable pace, the Devs ran out of characters and we went an entire season with only Marvin the Martian left. I don't think that would've changed if it was Harry Potter instead, the Beta still would've died either way.

Reason 6: It's just a really, really, REALLY silly fighting game.

Imagine that. Imagine if one of the fighters was a Green Dog that spit fireballs? Or Shaggy, but the meme version where he has DBZ powers? Or Lebron James from Space Jam 2? Or Velma revealing the opposing player is actually Old Man Jenkins in desguise. Or Taz transforming you into a giant cooked chicken that runs around.
Imagine if they released Joker, and gave him a move referencing "I'm the Joker, Baby!" Or if they copyrighted Big Chungus to use as a character probably eventually. Or if they released an advertisement TODAY where Finn and Jake rap and Kevin Controy Batman calls himself a "Queen" with a crown graphic on top of his head. Or if the official Multiversus Twitter and all it's affiliates made non-stop Banana Puns when they were supposed to be advertising the game instead.
Basically...maybe relax?
I'm not saying you aren't allowed to be disappointed that you didn't get a different character. But I think some perspective can help. I think remembering what kind of game this is, always was, and always will be, can help set the tone for this.
This is gonna be the fighting game where Batman can fight Lebron James, Big Chungus, Ultra Instinct Shaggy...and a talking stupid Banana. This is completely 100000% on-brand for the game you signed up for.

My attempt at Raditz
I've been seeing a lot of fan art lately so thought I'd give it a whirl. DBZ got me into drawing in maybe 99 or 2000, but I haven't really done it in a decade. I hope to see more art from you guys, let's see your favorite characters or scenes :)

2024.05.17 03:58 dalty69 Official Announcement: Partnership between $PlayDBZ and $Lab. Live AMA 18TH 12PM

An official announcement, the partnership between $PlayDBZ and $Lab has been confirmed. The collaboration brings together the dynamic $Lab team, led by Professor, and the innovative $PlayDBZ project. This partnership marks a significant milestone for both projects.
With great appreciation and a shared commitment to strengthening their bonds, the developer behind $PlayDBZ, known as Ace, has invested considerable effort to integrate $Lab's distinctive mascot into the game. This integration signifies a deepening of the relationship between the two projects, fostering an environment of collaboration and mutual support.
The collaboration does not stop there, as another esteemed partner is also set to join the alliance. This development promises synergistic opportunities for the communities associated with both projects, enabling them to come together and create an even more vibrant ecosystem.
$PlayDBZ, in its nascent stage, aspires to become the leading Crypto game on the Solana network. The partnership with $Lab will play a pivotal role in achieving this goal. By incorporating various mascots and coins from multiple projects as playable characters, $PlayDBZ aims to create an unparalleled gaming experience that will captivate players and unlock tremendous potential.
Importantly, it is crucial to emphasize that $PlayDBZ is a project driven by authenticity and substance. By sorting the chart by day, you will witness to the remarkable consistency that underlies this project.
When I first called it, $PlayDBZ had a MC of 9k. From there, it steadily climbed to 15k and eventually reached 25k, maintaining that level for an entire week. Excitingly, just yesterday, the project achieved a new ATH at 42.5k MC. Although it experienced a slight dip, it quickly stabilized at 36k MC, indicating a potential new floor for the project.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3- 20 Years Later

Its hard to believe that Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 came out 20 years ago on PlayStation 2. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 is considered to be one of the most memorable fighting games from the 2000’s decade. The Budokai 3 game was developed by Dimps and published by Atari or Bandi depending what country it was released between 2004-2005. Budokai 3 had pretty much everything one could ask for in a DBZ game at the time including fast-paced action, cel-shaded graphics, non-canon characters, cool stages along with impressive animation sequences. It was obvious that Dimps did everything they could to make Budokai 3 better than its ’03 predecessor. The story mode in Budokai 3 was far better than than Budokai 2 but not quite as good as the original which had cutscenes that closely followed the anime. The story mode in Budokai 3 allowed players to play as multiple characters such as Goku, Vegeta or Gohan and mainly consisted of roaming around the earth and dialogues before battle. The gameplay mechanics in Budokai 3 were also modified so that the battles were more similar to the DBZ. Budokai 3 had gameplay mechanics such as: beam struggles, teleport counters, fatigue, hyper mode and more. Budokai 3 also one of the first games that included all of the transformations of characters such as Goku, Frieza and Cell which was a pretty big deal at the time. The ability to play as fusion characters like Vegeto, Gogeta and Gotenks was also a strong positive in Budokai 3.

The inclusion of non-canon movie villains like Cooler and Broly along with their respective transformations definitely put Budokai 3 above its ’03 predecessor. The inclusion of unlockable bonus characters added to the overall value of Budokai 3 because players always had someone new to play as. The voice-over acting for the characters along with the narration of the story for Budokai 3 was top-notch. The reason why Budokai 3 was such a big deal during the 2000’s was because it preceded the legendary Budokai Tenkaichi trilogy from ’05-’07. Budokai 3 was an addictive fighting game that had a basic learning curve which appealed to casuals while having the gameplay and action that hardcore DBZ fans loved. While the graphics for Budokai 3 looks outdated by today’s standards the game itself is every bit has fun today as it was 20 years ago.

Tekken 5- 20 Years Later

Tekken 5 was arguably one of the best fighting games of the mid 2000’s. Its hard to believe that Tekken 5 came out on the PlayStation 2 twenty years ago especially since series is currently on its eighth main installment right now. Tekken 5 was a game that arguably brought life back into its own series considering the fact that Tekken 4 from 2001 was highly overlooked. Tekken 5 was quite possibly the best installment within the series during the 2000’s decade mainly because of the storyline. Tekken 5 was the game where the main protagonist Jin Kazama had finally become fully consumed by the Devil Gene after killing his great-grandfather Jinpachi Mishima who was the main antagonist of the game. After killing Jinpachi in battle Jin Kazama had finally become the owner of the Mishima Zaibatsu which eventually leads to him being one of the primary villains in Tekken 6. In terms of graphics Tekken 5 was noticeably better than T4 and the overall presentation looked more appealing to casuals.

It should also be noted that Tekken 5 was the game where characters like Asuka Kazama, Emile de Rochefort and Raven made their video game debuts. Also, the inclusion of game modes in T5 like Tekken Dojo felt like a step forward in terms of Bandi Namco giving players more offline gameplay content to keep them busy. Unfortunately, Tekken 5 came out during a time period where the fighting genre had declined in popularity compared to where it was during the 90’s. Also, games like Soul Calibur 3 and DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi were titles that Tekken 5 had to compete with back in 2005. Despite, its competition Tekken 5 still managed to sell more than eight million copies worldwide following its ’05 release. Tekken 5 may not have been quite as popular as T3 from 1997 but it helped in reviving the interest of lapsed fans of the series during the 2000’s decade.

$PlayDBZ 🤝$LAB is finally official! Prepare for the AMA 18th 12pm this month!!!
We can finally OFFICIALLY announce our partnership with the $Lab team! Yeah, $Lab is coming strong with us, the Professor, $Lab's dev. If y'all don't know, liked Ace and his insane game! As a token of gratitude and looking forward to strengthening our bonds, Ace put a lot of work to insert $Lab's mascot into the game.
We can't stress enough how happy we are for being able to create such a bond, but we will not stop here! There's already a second name getting on board, and with that, the communities should start to merge.
Don't lose the best entry point you will find from now on, $PlayDBZ is just starting, and it will become the biggest Crypto game Solana has ever seen, with many mascots and coins being included as PLAYABLE CHARACTERS. Can you imagine the potential we will get from this?
Again, I'm trying to help. I've been saying this is not a shitcoin. This is a real project. You will not see any pump and dump here. This community is growing, and we are diamond hands.
Don't believe me? It's easy. Look for yourselves. This is the CA: 22QvAEn5KucUKbxJpMzwDmgYcQ8kuktqWVathxYsL6js.
Go on dexscreener, sort the chart by day, and just look at it. The first time I called it, it was 9k MC, and I've called it every single day since then. It's now holding at 36k MC after going to a new ATH at 42.5k MC. Look how close it is. It's impossible to be more clear than that. We have 259 holders, and they are really holding hard, be the next chad holder!
