2024.05.19 06:38 AdInteresting2401 Dying to be ill - How people make it hard for actual sufferers to be taken serious, hard to find any authentic and not misleading information, brain washing people into self diagnoses

People that spread the internet without an official diagnosis or any prove of an mast cell involvement, antihistamines are used for multiple diseases. There have been people that think they have MCAS because Cromolyn helped their asthma, H1 medication helped their urticaria, or H2 helped their heartburn. These medications are all widely used and are rather "off label" used for MCAS. That is why all 3 criteria need to be present.
Websites present various doctors that claim to be "specialists" and who give out diagnoses to anyone based of unspecific symptoms, reportedly these do not even make tests at all. Or use unvalidated biomarkers or questionable diagnostic criteria.
People who actually have a serious and rare disease named MCAS, struggle to be taken seriously, because many doctors are fed up by the sheer amount of psychic conspicuous patients, who only want a proof for their google based self diagnoses. Often times there is no proof and these people make a burden for health care resources.
Mast cell medication is free and if you have no relief at all with antihistamines, MCAS is very unlikely. There is not much any further medication that someone would get, if not presented with serious reactions, most of the times anaphylaxis. Ketotifen and cromolyn are also mainly antihistamines, still many gaslight themselfs thinking that that is the medication they need.
Primary and secondary MCAS are easy to rule out, due to specific and severe symptoms and quite obvious underlying mechanism like an IgE dependant allergy or the genetic mutation. The diagnosis that is under question is the idiopathic MCAS, where the underlying mechanism is unknown, these people still need to fullfill the diagnostic markers, but in reality this happens only rarely.
Still many think they have a secondary MCAS, it is said by certain authors that a secondary MCAS would have a prevalance of 17-30 per cent. They say that long covid and/or T-Cells are the problem. That this would be quite easy to proof if it would be happening they do not care about. That this has already been evaluated they do not care about. The desperate patients are easy to convince it seems.
Some people even make claims their MCAS would be due to a root cause of "Sibo", "Leaky gut" or "microbiome disbalance", all which are unrelated to a MCAS. Mast cells in the gut have been studied and people with IBS have had no success with mast cell treatment.
It is also a burden for patients, knowing that even some doctors do not stick to authentic measures and give out misinformation. Maybe because of a conflict of interest? Since most internet posts that come up include misinformation, it is hard for sufferers to find alike. MCAS communities are full of people who do not have MCAS. MCAS sufferers have no community right now.
.
"My blood and 24hr urine collection testing came back normal. The allergist I saw also told me outright he doubted I had MCAS (a fad diagnosis along with EDS and POTS, as he said) but did end up suggesting I come back to get samples tested during an episode. I was so frustrated with the allergist that Iā€™ve never gone through with that. Instead my amazing primary doctor decided to prescribe me montelukast and monitor my reaction to trialing antihistamines at home, and I had immediate positive response! We also first ruled out everything else he could think of and clearly test for; my main symptom is facial flushing so I had things like lupus and carcinoid syndrome ruled out.
Although we treat it as such, I donā€™t actually have an ā€œofficialā€ MCAS diagnosis on my chart. IME the specialists who do inquire about all my meds or listen to my symptoms donā€™t seem to differentiate between MCAS and allergies/sensitivities anyway :/ but my case isnā€™t super severe and currently well-controlled so that works for me. Good luck to you - I hope you find proper care regardless of your test results!"
.
"I have normal tryptase levels and definitely have MCAS. They diagnosed it after POTS, and it was mostly based on symptoms as well as the ā€œscratch testā€"
.
"Spoke about it with my GP, she referred me to an internal medicine doc who specializes in MCAS. I told him my symptoms and he went ā€œyep that sounds like MCASā€ and proceeded to literally dump an armful of antihistamine samples into my lap and bounce off to his next appointment. I am definitely in the minority of people whose experience was that easy. It was so easy that I almost donā€™t believe him."
.
"This is the same as my experience! Walked in, diagnosed by rheumatologist in 5 mins based off symptoms and loaded up with antihistamines as a starting point. No testing or anything."
.
"went to my allergist and had the blood work panel done. nothing in it came back weird, but my allergist is treating me as if i have MCAS based on all my symptoms and pictures of flares."
.
"Went in to get my pots diagnosis and the doctor was like ā€œbtw your blood tests show you have mast cell activation syndromeā€ and then gave me some medicine and did not elaborate further"
"As it turned out my diagnosis was literally not true. I donā€™t have MCAS (and even if i did what they gave me for it was beyond overkill) after talking to an actual allergist I believe that most likely I was given an extra diagnosis on extremely weak basis. Using something from what they saw in my blood so they could bill higher and prescribe more medicine to me. I no longer go to that practice and instead go to a different cardiologist and actively do not recommend going there. Unfortunately this stopped me for years from properly treating my pain as I was trying to treat it on the basis it was being caused by MCAS :/"
.
"Mine was actually fairly easy when I finally figured out it was MCAS.
Got referred to immunology to rule out mastocytosis. Then my PCP at the time did a clinical diagnosis. She wasnā€™t risking putting me into anaphylaxis to maybe get a positive result on any of the mast cell mediator labs (this doctor was one who didnā€™t list a diagnosis unless she was confident it isnā€™t anything else and spent 8 years trying to get an answer).
My current doctors donā€™t question it because my symptoms at this point line up perfectly with MCAS."

šŸ”—High-Quality Canon Pg-243bk/CL-244 Inkjet Cartridges for Select Printers

https://preview.redd.it/pd51zoplab1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f45239b61d6402d26eccbd6f24d8ae0d169af76c
The Canon Pg-243 Color Inkjet Print Cartridge caught my attention with its versatile and long-lasting performance. I was in need of a reliable ink cartridge for my Canon printer, and this one seemed like the perfect fit. The high-quality ink produced vibrant, sharp prints for all my documents, whether it was just plain text or a vivid colored photo.
One major highlight for me was the compatibility with the printerā€”it replaced my previous PG-245 and CL-246 cartridges seamlessly. I appreciated that I could easily find and replace the ink when it ran low. The cartridge worked consistently, eliminating issues I've faced with other ink cartridges, like smudging or streaking.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks with the Canon Pg-243 Color Inkjet Print Cartridge. While the ink was long-lasting, it might not be the most cost-effective option for heavy-duty use. Additionally, the size of the cartridges can be bulky, which may not be ideal for travel or storage considerations.
Overall, the pros outweigh the cons for me when it comes to this ink cartridge. The print quality is top-notch, and it's super easy to replace when the ink runs low. While it may not be perfect for those who need a lot of ink for their projects, it's a great option for anyone looking for high-quality, reliable ink for their Canon printer.

šŸ”—Save on Canon PG-243 Standard-Yield Black Ink Cartridge

https://preview.redd.it/wbt2gs1mab1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2f2e6d4a841f12ef5d4559dd56b7cc07aee1eba2
I've been using the Canon PG-243 Black Ink Cartridge for a while now and let me tell you about my experience. This ink cartridge is compatible with Canon PIXMA printers, and I must say, it offers smudge-resistant text and sharp ink quality. What really stood out for me is the FINE (Full-Photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) technology, which adds detail and quality to my prints.
One thing that I've found is that the ink cartridge consumes a bit more ink than I originally anticipated. However, the cost savings compared to the standard-yield capacity in other ink cartridges is quite appealing. The only downside I've encountered is the need to purchase additional ink cartridges, as one is not enough for heavy print jobs. Overall, the Canon PG-243 Black Ink Cartridge is a reliable and efficient option for Canon printer users.

šŸ”—Pigment & Dye Ink Multi-Pack for Quality B&C Prints

https://preview.redd.it/0gyhczemab1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88450b86542237ea83bfae8179f53e1f6c49417e
I recently tried out the Canon PG-243/CL-244 Ink Cartridge combo pack for my printer. It promises long-lasting dark blacks and beautiful colors, and it did not disappoint. The ink quality was exceptional, with vibrant colors and sharp, bold lines.
The paper included in the pack, 50 sheets of glossy 4"x6" photo paper, produced stunning printouts with a crisp and glossy finish, great for presentations or printing photos. However, one downside was that the ink ran out relatively quickly, especially the color one. All in all, this ink cartridge combo pack delivers high-quality results, but be prepared to refill it more frequently than you might expect.

In the past few weeks, I've been using the PG-243/CL-244 ink cartridge set for my Canon printer. I have to say, these inks have been working like a charm for my home office. They've produced clear, vibrant prints, both for text and images. The black ink is fantastic, providing sharp text that makes reading documents a breeze. The color ink is equally impressive, with accurate hues and vivid images.
Despite the great performance, I've noticed that the ink cartridges run out a bit too quickly for my usage. I typically print only a handful of documents and photos a week, but it still feels like I need to replace the cartridges more frequently than I'd like. I've heard from other users that the ink seems to get used up way too fast, especially the black one.
On the plus side, the installation process is quite simple, and the inks perform consistently, without any smudging or streaking. Having all three essential colors in one pack also makes it convenient for quick replacements when needed.
Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the inks for my Canon printer, but the low ink quantity is a little disappointing. I'll have to keep a closer eye on my ink consumption and consider alternatives if I need longer-lasting cartridges.

I recently tried out the Canon 2 Pack PG-243 Black Ink Cartridge for PIXMA Printers and I must say, it was quite an experience. The first thing that caught my attention was the exceptional print quality. The dark blacks were remarkably sharp and vibrant, making my documents look professional.
The highlight for me was the impressive durability of these cartridges. Even after printing numerous pages, they still held up well without any issues. The pigment-based ink formulation ensured that the colors stayed vibrant for longer, preventing smudging or streaking.
One downside I encountered was the limited compatibility of these cartridges. They were only fully compatible with the PG-245 and PG-245 XL black ink cartridges, which could be inconvenient for some users.
Moreover, these cartridges granted access to premium content via Creative Park Premium. This was a great perk for those who enjoy creative projects.
Lastly, the FINE (Full-Photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) Technology ensured precise ink droplets, resulting in fine detail and smooth texture in all my prints.
Overall, while there are some drawbacks to consider, the Canon 2 Pack PG-243 Black Ink Cartridge for PIXMA Printers has proved itself to be a reliable and efficient choice for those seeking high-quality print results.

šŸ”—Professional-grade Pigment Black Ink Cartridge for Canon PIXMA Printers

Experience the high-quality print performance of the Canon PG-243 Pigment Black Ink Cartridge. Its FINE technology guarantees sharp, smudge-resistant text and vibrant colors, perfect for professional-quality documents and photos.
The cartridge is compatible with Canon PIXMA printers that utilize PG-245 and PG-245XL ink cartridges, ensuring a seamless transition for users. This genuine Canon product promises high capacity, delivering more ink for more prints without compromising on quality.
The PG-243 is a reliable and efficient replacement for PG-245 black ink cartridges, providing exceptional value for money. Overall, the Canon PG-243 Pigment Black Ink Cartridge stands out for its long-lasting dark blacks, pigment formulation, and remarkable durability, making it a top choice for reliable printing solutions.

šŸ”—Canon PG-243 Black Ink Cartridge for Professional Printing

The Canon PG-243 Original Ink Cartridge, known for its Pigment Black ink, is a reliable companion for those who own Canon Pixma printers. With full compatibility with models like MG3020, TS202, and TS3120, this ink cartridge delivers crisp, smudge-resistant text that stands out.
One of the key features that make this product stand out is the FINE technology, which ensures added sharpness, detail, and quality in your documents. The pigment-based ink formulation guarantees long-lasting dark blacks, perfect for creating stunning visuals on your paper.
However, this ink cartridge is not without its drawbacks. One of the main concerns from users is the ink running out too quickly, requiring frequent replacements. Additionally, the ink capacity may not be as extensive as some users would like, creating the need for more frequent ink purchases.
Despite these limitations, the Canon PG-243 Original Ink Cartridge is a reliable option for those who need high-quality ink for their Canon Pixma printers. Its commitment to delivering crisp, professional text makes it a worthwhile investment for those who value ink quality and durability.
In summary, the Canon PG-243 Original Ink Cartridge is a solid option for those seeking high-quality ink for their Canon Pixma printers. With its FINE technology and pigment-based ink formulation, it guarantees dark blacks and vibrant colors. However, users should be prepared for the potential downsides, such as the ink running out too quickly and the need for frequent replacements.

šŸ”—Refillable Canon Inkjet Printer Cartridges Kit for Various Printer Models

https://preview.redd.it/xr94nqdoab1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=15e260d8daaeb359debc5115019839a6e5ab9978
As a fervent writer, I love trying new tools to elevate my efficiency and performance. One such product I recently stumbled upon is the 'Zeblue 4 Color Inkjet Printer Ink Refill Kit', specifically suited for Canon printers.
One of the most appealing aspects was the variety of colors in the kit. The four bottles of dye ink - black, cyan, magenta, and yellow - allowed for vibrant, high-fidelity prints. The high color saturation and ultrafiltration tech were commendable, preventing any clogging in the printhead.
However, the process of refilling the cartridges was more daunting than I initially anticipated. The cartridge refilling system was not as user-friendly as I hoped, necessitating multiple syringes for each color and uncertainty about the durability of these syringes.
The ink itself was a great boon, with its weak acid or alkalescent formula providing an environmentally friendly solution. The high print quality was an added bonus, especially considering the quick-drying formula which made speedy printing possible.
Despite the challenges I've faced, I believe this product can prove to be a great asset for those willing to take the time to understand and use it effectively.

šŸ”—Canon Ink Cartridges 243 for PIXMA Printers

https://preview.redd.it/9l28niroab1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02828bf1bc3ace46cb3eef600805d4d42f096f6a
Recently, I had the opportunity to try out the Canon PG-243 Black and CL-244 Color ink cartridges in my Canon PIXMA printer. The ink cartridges were a four-pack, providing me with black, cyan, and magenta ink for my printer. Upon unboxing, I noticed how the ink cartridges seemed to be quite large compared to other cartridges I've used in the past, making me hopeful for a long-lasting and efficient printing experience.
As I began testing the ink cartridges, I was pleased with the print quality, particularly the sharp text produced by the black ink and the vibrant colors given by the cyan and magenta. The installation process was smooth, with no complications or issues during setup. The convenience of having all three essential colors in one pack was also a major plus.
However, my experience with these ink cartridges came with a caveat. Despite the positive aspects, I found that the ink supply in these cartridges didn't last as long as I would have hoped, especially considering the size and price of the individual cartridges. I had to purchase replacement ink cartridges more often than I expected, which added up to a higher cost for me in the long run.
In summary, the Canon PG-243 Black and CL-244 Color ink cartridges provided good print quality and ease of use, but their relatively short ink supply made the overall experience less satisfying.

šŸ”—High-Quality Canon PG-243 and CL-244 Color Ink Cartridge Bulk Pack

https://preview.redd.it/hjm4d46pab1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8393278a1a55bc596168ff65e9af2c28bf7843ab
For the past few weeks, I've been using these Canon ink cartridges for my printer. The replacement cartridges have proved to be a lifesaver in prolonging the printer's ink life, ensuring high-quality printouts.
One of the features that stood out to me was the cartridge's smudge-proof design. It's reassuring to know that even when printing a quick document, I don't have to worry about smudging or smears on the pages. The up to 244 high-quality colored printouts this cartridge provides is also a big plus ā€“ the ink produces vibrant and accurate hues for both documents and photos.
While the pigment-based black ink is faster drying than most inks, ensuring it doesn't smudge, I have noticed that it runs out a bit quicker than the color ink. However, overall, I find these ink cartridges to be of good quality and a cost-effective solution for my printer needs.

šŸ”—Canon PG-243 Cartridges - High-Quality, Durable Ink for Stunning Prints

https://preview.redd.it/kekajjjpab1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c2149897f042fdd01d5b541928b25a8d70e15a6
I recently needed to replace some ink cartridges for my Canon printer and decided to give the Canon PG-243 / CL-244 Value Pack a try. Let me tell you, it surpassed my expectations in every aspect!
First off, the ink quality was absolutely top-notch. The black ink produced crisp and seamless text, while the dye-based color ink brought vibrant and accurate hues to my photos. It was a delight to see the vivid colors and sharp details on my prints.
However, there was a slightly disappointing side to this experience. It seemed that the ink cartridges didn't last as long as I had hoped. I went through them quite quickly, even though I was only printing moderately. I'm not sure if it's a matter of using more ink per page or a potential issue with the cartridges themselves.
Overall, the Canon PG-243 / CL-244 Value Pack provided exceptional print quality, but it could have been more cost-effective if the ink cartridges lasted a bit longer. Nonetheless, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others looking for high-quality ink for their Canon printer.

As someone who's always on the hunt for ink cartridges that won't break the bank, I was thrilled to stumble upon the Compatible Canon 243 244 Ink Cartridges Value Pack of 2. Having used Canon printers in the past, I knew their ink cartridges are of high quality, and these remanufactured ones are no exception.
The value pack includes one PG-243 black cartridge and one CL-244 tri-color cartridge. The black cartridge works smoothly and consistently, while the tri-color cartridge delivers vibrant and accurate colors. The experience of replacing these cartridges was hassle-free, and the ink flow was more than satisfactory.
However, despite the excellent quality, I did notice a slight difference in the ink cartridge performance compared to the original Canon counterparts. But considering the value for money, I'm more than happy with the trade-off.
Overall, the Compatible Canon 243 244 Ink Cartridges Value Pack offers great value and superior performance for those looking to save some cash on their ink needs.

Buyer's Guide

When purchasing Canon Printer Ink 243 cartridges, understanding the key features and factors to consider will help ensure you choose the right product for your printing needs. In this guide, we'll provide general advice, considerations, and features to look for when selecting Canon printer ink cartridges.

Importance of Compatibility

https://preview.redd.it/liiajsdsab1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=29c01d191bdabc210bae22fa5e600e2e4fce54c1
Compatibility is crucial when choosing Canon printer ink cartridges. The cartridge must be compatible with your specific Canon printer model. Using a cartridge that is not compatible may lead to damage to the printer or inferior print quality. Always double-check the compatibility before making a purchase.

Consider the Volume of Usage

Determine the volume of ink usage that your printer requires for its primary functions. If your printer will be used heavily for high-volume tasks such as printing documents, consider purchasing a high-capacity cartridge. This will save money in the long run compared to purchasing multiple smaller cartridges.

Choose the Right Color

Many Canon printers use ink cartridges with multiple color options, including black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. Determine the primary color(s) that your printer will need. For instance, if your printer is mainly used for printing text documents, a black and cyan cartridge may suffice. If you also require colored prints, consider purchasing a cartridge with a mix of colors to ensure optimal print quality.

Consider Ink Levels

Be aware of the amount of ink inside the cartridge when making your selection. Cartridges can be filled with different ink quantities, so it's essential to choose the right cartridge for your printer to prevent wasting ink.

Purchasing Options and Discounts

There are various purchasing options available when purchasing Canon printer ink cartridges. Consider buying in bulk to save money, or take advantage of discounts and promotions available at your preferred online marketplace or retail store.
When purchasing Canon Printer Ink 243 cartridges, always consider the compatibility, ink usage, colors, ink levels, and purchasing options. By doing so, you can ensure that you get the best ink cartridge for your specific printing needs, without wasting money or compromising on print quality.

2024.05.19 06:36 SaviorSen Audio suffers a ~0.4s delay when running any sort of application.

Heyo! I need some help. I've recently gone ahead to install Arch and attempt to basically daily drive it for a bit. I went ahead to install Plasma 6 alongside pipewire and ffmpeg, everything seemed to be going steadily, however I have run into a bit of a roadblock, as I've been trying to look up things about what's been going on, yet nothing has seemed to work. Let me explain.
For every single application I have tested, (Web browser, the KDE sound test, Discord, basically all of the apps that I need to not have delayed audio, for the desktop to be smooth-sailing) and all of them weirdly showed the same problem. (Playing audio for the first time would show a ~0.4s delay before playing, and after pausing/having zero sound being played in the moment, would "reset" the timer and give me more delay.) Weirdly, this did not have an affect with the sync as you'd might expect, but that's made it significantly more difficult to find a solution to the problem I've been facing, this also seems to only be happening with my built-in laptop speakers, and not with any bluetooth/wired headphones.
If any other information is needed I'll gladly bring it up, but I believe (currently) that this is the best I can do. Thanks in advance! :-)

Tell me what to check for the most so I don't get scammed. I read a lot of theory threads and this is what I summarized (tell me if i'm right), I should check:
Also I noticed on the picture that the handlebars of the bike seem to be a different color, I'm guessing they are changed and not the original ones, do you think that's bad - i think the handlebars resemble a Honda Hornet CB600.
Also my other questions are in some videos I saw someone covering the exhaust while the bike is started to see if the sound will change, then gripping the clutch while still covering the exhaust - what is the point of this exercise and should I do it?

2024.05.19 06:35 SaintBenjamino Was Lenne more powerful than Lusat or Azur?

Was Lenne more powerful than Lusat or Azur?
(Tl;CR at the bottom, we're going for a wild ride)
Lenne's rise is a rather confusing area for me for several reasons. If you did not know, Lenne's rise is the wizard tower in northeastern Caelid, by the ball trap and the little bridge with the Night's cavalry on it.
The main thing I find odd about Lenne's rise is the fact that it is connected to basically no lore tidbits. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Nobody mentions Lenne, no item says what a Lenne was, and not even their name has a meaning (either a feminine Wool in french or "Would Be" in hungarian).
(not too important, feel free to skip) But if you look at the surrounding environment, clearly they are a significant sorceror. Firstly, Lenne's rise is not a standard Rise, such as the other ones you grab memory stones from. Rather, it is the deluxe version which Ranni and the Converted fringe tower share. This would, I assume, denote a more powerful Sorceror, as Ranni resides in this version whereas that little pervy prick Sevilus resides in the base model.
(kinda important, worth a skim) the second interesting thing about Lenne's environment are the protections it keeps. Not only does it have the funny magic ball things which love to smoosh us and which are likeley a dificuilt snare to create (used only by Sellia, a whole town of Sorcerors, and Raya Lucaria, a literal Hogwarts able to stave off massive armies) which implies that this singular rise was either vital to Sellia or some other important/vastly powerful Sorceror, but it also is gaurded by a Night's cavalry. We know that the Cavalry were sent by Margit specifically to hunt down tarnished like us, ones who would be on the path to become Elden Lord. Morgott places them where he excpects the tarnished to be, so he can stop them from continuing. So why would he place one gaurding a tiny bridge connecting the realm of a pacified old doggy with a taste for Deathroot and Lenne's rise? Simple. Lenne may have been as significant as our little potato sack Maliketh was. Also, Lenne utilizes a Spiritspring Jump in the puzzle to reach inside his rise, making it clear that they were aware that only one affiliated with Torrent (Miquella, Ranni, Melina, or some other major player) would be allowed entry to Lenne's mojo dojo house once Lenne was gone.
(INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT plz read) The thing that drives me crazy about Lenne's rise is in the image below (sorry i couldn't figure out how to screenshot from an Xbox to my 'puter). See that Glintstone? Isn't it colored a bit diferently than that we normally see? That gorgeus purple hue receding into clear crystal, lined with an amber hue is nothing like any Glinstone we see anywhere else in the game. But there's one little hint in there; there is AMBER in the glintstones. The only other place I could find Amber was in Renalla's amber egg and in the Amber Starlight item. Both of these items are uniqueley powerful in their own ways. The egg is a god-given respawn machine, built to destroy the mind of Renalla. But if we read the Amber Starlight description, it reveals a bit more about Lenne's unique glintstone. Simply put, Amber stars control the fate of gods. And since Glintstone is a residue of the Stars,
Lenne's rise is growing the residue of what controls the gods. Buttons from the cosmic keyboard of divine fate.
(THE BIG PART) Since Glintstone tends to be drawn to places of Star-related magic, it makes it clear that *Lenne was practicing some sort of higher level of magic, akin to the Primeval current, but with a more Eldrich or Godly twist. The Prime-Primeval current, so to speak. *
It is a shame that Lenne, whether she, he, or they, eventually gained the pronoun "those", as is clear from the Graven School ball of Burger King Crowns, floating at the bottom of the rise. They were likeley becoming too powerful for their own good, and joined a ball akin to what Sellen suffered. This must be the dark fate of a Primeval Sorceror before they can reach full potential, after all.
(Extra) The only holes I can see in this are if the Putrid Crystaalians really are the same as the crystals in Lenne's, but that wouldn't change much except that we would know where Lenne possibly gained his Prime-Primeval spells, or perhaps he was a servant (or master) to the Rot God, which would explain his location near Caelid. But that only solidifies him as a major power, so I like this idea. Also, it would be neat if anyone could scribble up what Lenne would look like, like some sort of Amber version of Lusat/Azur.
(TL;CR) Lenne was the most powerful Sorceror in the Lands Between for a short time, tapping into a magic so powerful it could control the fate of the gods, but he lost it before he could harness it properly by Ballin' too hard

We are yet to test drive the car.

2024.05.19 06:31 kemosabe73 PGL Wallachia Recap - May 18

Recommended watch: XG vs Falcons game 1, G2.iG vs Liquid game 1
Note: No meta section because there were too few games. I included the portraits for G2.iG vs Spirit but I wasn't able to watch the series.

Lower Bracket Quarterfinals

Spirit vs Boom

https://preview.redd.it/hvg5ywry8b1d1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=bc480066d32d8f7ca8b14c2d90441ab0f9e33a4c
Both sides were neck and neck in terms of networth in the early to mid game despite Boom boasting a better kill count. The game turned in Spirit's favor in the 27th minute when the fight for the second Rosh saw Boom use their big ultimates and only got 1 support kill for it while they had 3 casualties including Naga & Enigma. Spirit would get the Aegis and most of the momentum. All 3 cores on Spirit would become huge while only Naga scaled well for Boom. The introduction of hex on Lina meant quick exterminations. The Pango was a recurring victim of Lina's fiery show. The Enigma was never given a chance to have a game-altering Black Hole. Boom on top of being beaten down by Slardar and Lina had an enormous Chrono problem which they don't have an answer for. Once all 3 cores on Spirit had their BKBs the fight went one way. This was an outmatch. Spirit 1-0 Boom.
https://preview.redd.it/jqxs06i19b1d1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=8f48387a825ae4a290bc5b5d928c9a72666d462b
Boom felt powerless against the onslaught that came their way. Bristleback, Dragon Knight, and Doom kept charging relentlessly. Boom tried to offer some resistance but they got run over. Pakazs' Gyro valiantly participated in the fights but he died in each one. Solar Bind & Corrosive Haze were countered by the upgraded Ink Swell. Yatoro's Bristle was unanswered and he had no problems taking his team to the next round. Spirit 2-0 Boom.

Liquid vs G2.iG

https://preview.redd.it/e7e99iq89b1d1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=961347ff80cf525c743bc78bd9e3f9340c23a394
This was a pretty back-and-forth game but it was Liquid who did most of the initiative. By the 52nd minute, Liquid had brought down 2 lanes of racks and were attempting to get Megas but they got deterred by G2.iG. Liquid still looked like they had the upper hand as their side had the necessary tools to shut down Weaver but all it took was one moment of brilliance in the mid lane where Weaver + Rapier & Disruptor with Aghs caught & killed 3 overzealous players. With no buyback on Monkey King, the Dire were able to demolish Radiant's base and get the dub. This was G2.iG snatching victory from what looked like a game Liquid should have won. G2.iG 1-0 Liquid.
https://preview.redd.it/r1h9pzxa9b1d1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=151e7862956d4536b61615f88c24136ca6c03642
This time around, the roles were reversed. Liquid were playing from behind and G2.iG were the ones on the front foot. Liquid tried the recipe from the previous game of buying a Divine Rapier on their carry (Luna) and it did deter the opponent momentarily but if you keep letting your opponents take multiple swings at you, one haymaker is bound to hit and knock you out. The Radiant were stuck in their base and the Dire had complete control of the map. G2.iG bided their time, waited for Roshan, and only sieged with an Aegis. With Mega Creeps, 3 obese cores, and only Luna being the real threat to their side, G2.iG waited for the Glyph to go down and simply went all in on the throne. There wasn't much Liquid could do except type gg. G2.iG 2-0 Liquid.

Falcons vs Xtreme Gaming, Upper Bracket Finals

https://preview.redd.it/uhku7byg9b1d1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=5e7e1e355ae14734658d37e150a2432428f29657
Things were looking grim for XG. Falcons won every lane. Bristleback was killed 3 times before 10 minutes. Falcons didn't let up. They kept hunting and they kept finding the fights. XG were relegated to responding to what Falcons were doing on the map. But somehow, Ame found his farm and one wrong jump on the Bristleback changed the complexion of the game. A smoke play from FLC at minute 25 ended as a disaster when they jumped Bristleback who was farming in his triangle. FLC were not able to bring anyone down in the chaos. XG took advantage and brought down 4 on the side of FLC. Falcons would learn their lesson and go for Bristle's teammates at the next hunt. FLC would find 3 successive kills on their next smoke play. In a 2v5 scenario, FLC tested the high ground and got a kill on Ame but they overstayed their welcome as the rest of XG respawned before they could take any significant objective. FLC could not exit cleanly and lost 3 lives. XG would then trade out their mid barracks + tier 2 top + their tormentor for an Aegis on Viper. The game became passive and this benefitted XG (Midas on Viper + Bane). Marci eventually got to her BKB and at that point, even Davion didn't want to mess with her. A skirmish in front of Radiant's Tier 3 ended up as a complete annihilation with Marci getting 3 kills. FLC then smoked up, only found Ame, and decided to have a go at him. They couldn't finish him off (dƩjƠ vu). Marci once again went for the Enigma to make sure no Black Hole could be used. It was a 4 for nothing and that was it. This is an incredible statement from XG. They lost all their lanes and were getting beat up early on but their resilience and ability to come back was a joy to watch (Having xinQ's Marci helps too). XG 1-0 FLC.
https://preview.redd.it/ozq57czi9b1d1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=fc98df6a449720bc8926e012c4338f777cce3422
I was hoping for a closer game but XG were just too good. Falcons didn't have as good of a start as game 1 and XG were more than happy to slowly take over. The Bane and Earthshaker were such good picks against the opposition. The Black Hole could be stopped from a distance. The Pango had to be careful with his positioning against the Fiend's Grip. The 3 cores on XG had incredible damage which synergized very well with the control of their supports. Ame had a relatively free game. Once he had his Daedalus, taking objectives and the lives of his enemies became a breeze. Falcons weren't given any openings so XG continued their unbeaten streak to 12 games. They have yet to drop a single game in this tournament. XG 2-0 FLC.

G2.iG vs Spirit, Lower Bracket Semifinals

I wasn't able to watch the games but it looks like Spirit gave them a drubbing.

2024.05.19 06:28 ArkRecovered2030 [The Fast and the Furious] - Dom and Brian's Relationship Was A Prophetic Allegory

The original "The Fast and the Furious" released in 2001, contains a biblical subplot. This isn't as farfetched as it seems, considering that this film was re-written before its release by David Ayer, who is considered "...one of the five most prominent Christians in Hollywood." The original screenplay was written by Gary Scott Thompson. His vision for the film was for an all Italian cast racing through the streets of New York City. David Ayer, rendered some rewrites that made the film what has become these 20-something years later. One of his changes sets the film in Los Angeles instead of New York. Scripturally, angels are messengers and there surely is a message in this film, which is a re-telling of Revelation 13 using the analogy of cars and street racing.
To sum up the message of Revelation 13 is this: The Roman Catholic Church represented by "the sea beast" (Revelation 13:1) unites with America represented by "the earth beast" (Revelation 13:11) to issue the Mark of the Beast (Revelation 13:16-18). Scripture supplies the most in-depth literature known to man and this film has become a pop-culture gem because of it. Let's look at some of the symbolism.
Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) is an allegory of the Roman Catholic Church. The name Dominic is derived from the Latin Dominicus and is a name given to boys born on Sunday. It is the root word for "Domingo" which is Spanish for Sunday. Contrary to the 7th Day Sabbath of the 4th commandment (Exodus 20:8), Catholics instituted their own day of worship, which is Sunday. Priest Brady, in an address, reported in the Elizabeth, NJ ā€˜Newsā€™ on March 18, 1903, stated, "It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church." Their are many pontifical orders in the Catholic Church and one of them is the "Dom-inican" Order. Pope Pius V was of the Dominican Order and he instituted the Inquisition. The Dominican monks are known for brewing beer and in the movie, Dom is constantly advertising "Corona Beer." Dominic Toretto drives a 1993 Mazda RX-7 FD. At the core of this car is a turbocharged Wankel motor, driven by rotors instead of pistons. The rotors are Releaux triangles and were prominent features on gothic style Catholic Churches. The Releaux triangle is also the basic shape for the triquetra which a symbol for the Trinity. The Trinity is never mentioned in Scripture as a name for God which is important. The Trinity is a Catholic invention. The Roman Catholic Church is named as such because it absorbed practices and traditions from the Roman Empire. It was Constantine that issued the first Sunday Law; an attempt to make Sunday holy. They used to hold races in the Coliseum to honor the Roman trinity known as the Captoline Triad or the Archaic Triad. The name Trinity was coined by Tertullian, a staunch Romanist. This is why Dominic uses three Honda Civics to pull of the heists, because Trinitarians believe the Holy Spirit is another being form that sits on the Throne of God; three on the throne. In reality, there are only two being forms, the Father and the Son, on the throne, with their Spirit being inherently there. Dominic's RX-7 has a Veilside body kit. The "veil" (Hebrews 10:20) is symbolic of Jesus Christ and the pope believes that He is an additional incarnation of Christ. In the beginning of Fast X, Dominic is portrayed as a defender of the Vatican and St. Peters. Dominic Toretto is the Roman Catholic Church.
Brian Spilner [O'Conner] (Paul Walker) is an allegory of American Protestantism. The name Brian means "noble" and nobility is defined as having "high morals standards and ideals." Brian is also a police officer or a keeper of the law. America was established as a Protestant Christian nation with the intent of upholding the Law of God. Most Protestants today have forsaken the Sabbath command and uphold the Catholic Sunday. Brian is also on the "wine of Babylon" and is seen drinking and distributing alcohol throughout the film. Protestant denominations now also believe in the Trinity, significantly compromising the strength of the Protest. Is this reflected in Brian's ride? Yes. Brian drives a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The Mitsubishi symbol is a trinity of diamonds or rhombuses. At the heart of the Eclipse is a PentaStar 4G63 built by Chrysler. Chrysler secured a $75 million war contract to aid in producing J. Robert Oppenheimers "Little Boy"; the atomic bomb dropped on, of all places, Japan. The codename for the first atomic bomb test was "Trinity", named for the Catholic triune god. The American symbolism for Brian's car doesn't stop there. The American rebadged version of the Mitsubishi Eclipse, is the Eagle Talon. There is also an abstract blue and white eagle on the side of Brian's car; the eagle being a prominent symbol for America. Brian's surname "O'Connor" is of Irish origin. Catholics have slandered the name of St. Patrick claiming that he used the shamrock to preach the Trinity, but in reality he was vehemently against, or protested, the Catholic doctrine or the Trinity. Revelation 13:11 says that America sprang up like a Lamb (a symbol of Jesus Christ) but began to speak as a dragon (a symbol for Satan.) This denotes compromise. Brian is seen sitting with Dominic many times drinking alcohol, a sure fire way to lower your inhibitions and compromise your integrity. Brian has illicit relations with Mia, Dominic's sister [who openly displays her devotion to the Catholic Church in the film], which seals his compromise. Brian then ends up lying to his superiors after sleeping with Dom's sister. Brian is an Apostate (Lawless) Protestant Church.
Brian loses his car to Dom in a street race, which transfers ownership of the American-powered Eclipse to Dominic. Eventually, America will be owned by the Roman Catholic Church and will "build an image to the beast" and issue the Mark of the Beast on their behalf. The Eclipse is destroyed. Is not America in such a a state of declension, that the calling of a moral leader seems like the only way to save this country? Remember, Pope Francis came to America in 2015 and addressed not only the nation from the White House, but also an active session of Congress. We are a constitutionally church and state separate nation. What was the Pope doing there? Dom and Brian start working on another car to replace the destroyed Eclipse; a 1994 Toyota Supra. Before 1990, there was no official symbol for Toyota. On October 2, 1989, the official logo was released. The symbol is a "T" comprised of a trinity of ellipses. The code name for a 1994-1998 Supra is the Mark IV(4). So the Toyota Supra contains as mark and a trinity.
So what is the Mark of the Beast? Sunday observance and worship enforced by law. Dominic's name associates him with Sunday and Brian, being a police officer, associates him with the law. When they united to build the Supra together, it symbolized a National Sunday Law aka The Mark of the Beast. Their union also is symbolic of the formation of church and state in America: the "image to the beast." By the way, all graphics for the cars in the film were supplied by "Modern Image." When this forms, we are in "Barney Rubble Trouble." We are a country built on ecclesiastical liberty, but when a Sunday Law is put into motion, those who accept the law, will lose their "Liberty of Conscience." No good. This is why when Pope Francis addressed an active session of Congress, where we pass laws, was not a good sign. In fact, Pope Francis chose a Fiat 500 to ride in when he came to America. The word "fiat" translates to "law." This was not a coincidence.
How does this movie end? After one final race, Dominic flips his car, receiving a "deadly wound" (Revelation 13:3). Dominic (the pope, the outlaw) is not captured and brought up on charges as he should. Instead, Brian (America, the law, the Image to the Beast) hands over the keys to the Supra, giving Dominic complete power and ownership. Scripture says that the Roman Catholic Church will come to an end and that God's true people need to "come out of her...lest ye be partakers of her plagues..."
The promotion of Sunday, the exaltation of the Trinity, the apocalyptic formation of the Image of the Beast (Church and State) and the fraudulent retelling of prophecy is all contained in a little movie about street racing released almost 23 years ago. The sequels, attractions, and merchandise have never ceased to roll off the assembly line. Sequels that point to Dominic as a Catholic Champion. Even in "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift", the first song to play is "Six Days" by DJ Shadow. [Refer to Exodus -11] This song puts Monday as the first day of the week making Sunday the Seventh Day, giving Sunday the appearance that it is the Sabbath of the Lord. Yes. The Fast and the Furious is arrayed against the Law of God. The sobering fact is, Revelation 13 is already being played out right in front of our eyes. This film, which could arguably be called "The Last Great Film Before 9/11", portrayed the various steps and phases that America, nay the world, was about to go through, with the audience unaware. Sadly, Paul Walker has passed, but the message lives on today, with the OG Fast and Furious still being the greatest effort in the series.
Thank you for your time and consideration. šŸ™šŸ¾šŸ™šŸ½
Please watch the video Swift to Mischief: A Prophetic Exposition of "The Fast and the Furious" for greater detail.

2024.05.19 06:19 Gustavo_Ceratifan0 Licorice Pizza Rewatch (He really canā€™t make a bad movie)

On my first watch I originally liked Licorice Pizza but thatā€™s as far as it went as I thought it was good but one of his more less important films but danm am I glad to be wrong. Itā€™s a beautiful movie where our main characters are trying to hide who they are or be someone else in a directionless world, as the story unfolds the interconnected lives of the characters reveal unexpected depths and vulnerabilities. The free-spirited atmosphere that permeates the film is infectious, It transports me to a time and place where anything seems possible It connects on so many subconscious layers that it remains timeless at depicting early 1970s culture. It's a testament to the power of cinema to transport us to different worlds and evoke a range of emotions that PTA has been a master of for years. In an interview PTA said he made Licorice Pizza with the intention of it playing in a drive-in somewhere 20 years from now and that to me truly embodies the essence of what this film is. 9/10

2024.05.19 06:19 Rainyfriedtofu Clover Assistant vs Epic and the tale of Peter Part 1.

Hello Fellow Apes,
In my recent posts, there were discussions regarding how Clover Assistant will compete with Epic EHEMR in the future, and someone asked about how CA can make EMR better. To understand this thesis, we're going to start by looking at the two offering in a table. It's going to be a long one.
Clover Assistant Epic
Clover Assistant is a clinical support tool designed by Clover Health, a health insurance company. It aims to help physicians make more informed decisions by providing them with actionable insights at the point of care. The tool integrates data from various sources to present a comprehensive view of a patient's health, aiming to improve outcomes and streamline care delivery. At the moment, CA has the capacity to integrate with Epic. CA is primarily focuses on enhancing clinical decision-making by providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis. It is designed to complement existing EHR. However, in the future I think CA will break away from this, and we will go into more detail when we look at the history of Epic. Epic Systems Corporation provides one of the most widely used electronic health record (EHR) systems in the United States and globally. Epic EHR is a comprehensive platform that covers various aspects of healthcare management, including patient records, scheduling, billing, and clinical workflows. Epic is a full-fledged EHR system that manages all aspects of patient care and hospital administration. It includes modules for clinical workflows, patient scheduling, billing, and etc. CA isn't at this level yet.
CA is designed to integrate with various EHR systems, providing a layer of intelligence on top of existing workflows. Its goal is to enhance the data already present in the EHRs with additional insights. It does so by aggregating data from multiple sources, including claims data, lab results, and patient-reported information. It uses this data to offer real-time recommendations and insights to physicians. Additionally, it offers insights in a concise, actionable format to help physicians quickly make informed decisions. We don't know what the cost of CA implementation will be, but I know 100% it will be cheaper than Epic, and in the future it will have the same features as Epic. Epic is known for its interoperability through the use of standards like HL7 and FHIR, allowing it to connect with other systems and share data across different healthcare providers and organizations. It collects and stores a wide range of clinical and administrative data. While it offers decision support tools, its primary function is data management and workflow facilitation. However, there are a lot of manual work involved for those who use this because it is an older system. While functional, Epic is often criticized for its complexity and steep learning curve. However, it is also praised for its extensive customization options, allowing organizations to tailor the system to their specific needs. The biggest problem with Epic is it is known for its high implementation costs and resource-intensive deployment process. However, it advertises itself as a comprehensive solution that can manage all aspects of healthcare operations.
With the comparison between Epic and Clover Assistant clarified, let's delve into the history of Epic Systems Corporation. Founded in 1979 by Judith R. Faulkner, Epic started as a small company focused on developing database management systems for healthcare. Initially, it faced several challenges, but these obstacles helped shape its pivotal role in the healthcare industry.
Epic's first product was Chronicles, a clinical database management system designed to handle patient records and clinical data. This foundational product set the stage for the more comprehensive EHR systems Epic would later develop. Notably, Epic adopted a client-server architecture early on, which was advanced for its time. This technology allowed multiple users to access and update patient records simultaneously, significantly improving efficiency and collaboration in healthcare settings.
In its early years, Epic primarily catered to small to mid-sized healthcare organizations, including hospitals and clinics. The potential to streamline operations and improve patient care through better data management attracted these early adopters. Epic's readiness to customize its software to meet the specific needs of each client helped build strong relationships and loyalty among its early customers.
One significant challenge Epic faced was integrating its systems with the existing healthcare infrastructure. Many healthcare providers operated disparate systems that did not easily communicate with each other. Epic addressed this by evolving into one of the leading providers of EHR systems, gradually expanding into almost every healthcare system. As Epic's client base grew, the company had to ensure its systems could scale to handle larger volumes of data and more complex operations.
From the outset, Epic focused on designing systems that were user-friendly and tailored to the workflows of healthcare professionals. This emphasis on usability set it apart from competitors. The company also invested heavily in developing standards for data exchange and interoperability, which later became crucial as the healthcare industry moved towards more integrated and connected systems.
Epic's success stories from early clients built a strong reputation in the healthcare industry, helping to attract new customers. The company formed partnerships with academic medical centers, which drove innovation and provided a platform for testing and refining new features. Epic continuously reinvested in research and development, ensuring its products remained at the cutting edge of technology and met the evolving needs of healthcare providers. The robust customer support system, including extensive training programs for users, was vital for successful implementations and fostering long-term customer relationships.
Epic played a significant role in setting standards for electronic health records and healthcare IT. Its systems helped drive the adoption of standardized practices across the industry. Early implementations of Epic's systems demonstrated significant improvements in operational efficiency, reducing administrative burdens and allowing healthcare providers to focus more on patient care.
Moving forward, the healthcare industry recognizes that the new frontier is based on a strong foundation of social determinants of health and preventative medicine. With that said, it is evident that Epic has built a comprehensive platform that covers various aspects of healthcare management. Starting as merely an EHR company, Epic has added numerous features, setting a precedent that newer entrants like Clover Assistant are following. Clover Assistant, an AI clinical support tool, aims to modernize EHR usage by helping physicians process data with speed and accuracy not possible by a normal human. In the future, just like Epic, Clover Assistant is expected to add more features. The key differentiators moving forward will likely be cost, compliance with evolving standards like CMS-HCC V28, and adaptability to policy changes.
Currently, the estimated cost for implementing Epic is:
Andrew mentioned that Clover Assistant (CA) plans to adopt a Software as a Service (SaaS) revenue model, charging on a per member per month basis. This pricing strategy aims to provide a steady, recurring income and is designed to be affordable and scalable, particularly for small businesses. For example, the hypothetical cost could be around $5 per patient per month (I'm pulling these numbers out of my ass because I don't have Clov's data). This pricing structure makes it feasible for private practices to adopt the system and have a positive experience with it. The goal is to replicate the success of systems like Epic by providing a cost-effective and manageable solution for healthcare providers. The person who will be leading this charge will be none other than Peter Kuipers.
Peter Kuipers is a seasoned financial executive with over 25 years of experience in technology leadership. He has held senior financial roles in various prominent companies, including Omnicell, Quantcast Corporation, The Weather Company, Yahoo!, Altera Corporation, General Electric, and Akzo Nobel. Before joining Clov, Peter served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Omnicell, a healthcare technology company focused on medication and supply management solutions. He joined Omnicell in August 2015 and played a crucial role in the company's financial and strategic development. During his tenure at Omnicell, Kuipers contributed significantly to the company's growth, helping to increase its revenue from $485 million to $1.3 billion. His responsibilities extended beyond the traditional CFO role, as he also oversaw global supply chain and manufacturing, information technology, international business, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions. His efforts were pivotal in transforming Omnicell into a leader in cloud-based platforms and SaaS/Tech-Enabled Services for the healthcare industry. He also oversaw various strategic initiatives, including international business expansion and mergers and acquisitions, contributing to Omnicell's global reach and market leadership.
I became aware of Peter Kuipers and Omnicell because Upsetweekend's company, along with many others, shifted from using Pyxis Oncology to Omnicell. Initially, Pyxis Oncology offered superior tools and services. However, during Peter's tenure at Omnicell, not only did the company offer more cost-effective solutions, but it also began to provide superior services. Securing Peter as a CFO for Clover was quite a coup, and it's impressive that they managed to attract such a seasoned executive to a smaller, less established company. Given his extensive experience and track record, Peter is well-equipped to strategically price and market Clover Assistant (CA). His expertise will likely be pivotal in attracting early adopters and expanding the company's operations. Just look at Omincell's stock price during his tenure.
https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/NASDAQ-OMCL/
At their core, both Clover Assistant (CA) and Epic are tools designed for electronic health record (EHR) management. They facilitate the presentation of data to physicians, enabling them to devise accurate treatment plans. However, there are notable differences between the two systems, primarily driven by their technological foundations and target functionalities.
Clover Assistant: This is a relatively new tool that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to process EHR data, aiming to simplify and enhance the efficiency of physicians' work. The use of AI allows Clover Assistant to offer advanced data analysis, potentially providing more insightful recommendations and support for clinical decisions.
Epic: As an older and more established EHR system, Epic has a broad user base and is deeply integrated into many healthcare institutions' workflows. While it is built on an older technological framework, it is robust and extensively supports various healthcare operations from patient records management to billing.
The analogy of video game development is apt for comparing these systems. Imagine Epic as a game built on an earlier version of the Unreal Engine, while Clover Assistant is akin to a game developed on Unreal Engine 5. The newer engine (or in this case, the newer AI-driven platform of Clover Assistant) offers enhanced capabilities, such as better processing power and more advanced features, which may not be as optimized in the older system used by Epic.
As Clover Assistant gains traction and proves its efficacy and cost-efficiency, it could start to compete more directly with Epic, especially if it continues to attract positive feedback from early adopters. This competition could push both platforms to continuously innovate and improve, potentially leading to better EHR management tools available to healthcare providers.
In summary, while both tools serve the fundamental purpose of managing health records and aiding treatment planning, their underlying technologies and approaches to handling data greatly influence their capabilities and potential impact on the healthcare industry.
*Update* I forgot to delete the title, but there will not be a part 2. I'm tired ^_^

2024.05.19 06:17 Ozymandiyaass Customer lied about incomplete delivery - will I be okay?

About an hour ago I had a delivery drop-off to a gated apartment building. There was an apt # but no instructions on how to get in the gate. I called the customer twice and both times it went to a man's voicemail (customer had a female name). I took the in-app photo of the food next to gate with the building number and began to leave. As I was driving away I saw a woman hurriedly going toward the gate , and I presumed it was the customer getting the food and drove away.
Later I noticed that even though I was paid, the earnings page said the order was canceled. I called support because I figured something sus was going on, and sure enough the agent told me the customer said it was not delivered. I explained the situation, and the agent said she saw my photo of the drop off and said she screenshotted everything and included my statement about what happened. She assured me I would be fine.
Do I have anything to worry about? I cant afford to lose this stream of income because some cheap **** wanted free ramen.

2024.05.19 06:16 uhl478 Anyone else struggling with dating within Canada?

Anyone else struggling with dating scene and finding a match within Canada as an Indian person?
I'm 35M born and raised in Canada in a Sikh family. I am an introvert and don't really go out much. I like living simple and quiet life. I don't speak Punjabi or Hindi but can only speak English. I work as a dentist in a small city in BC, Canada. I have my own house and about to buy my own dental practice business. However, I am struggling with dating and finding the right match.
I also wear a hearing-aid in one ear since I was a child with deafness in my other ear. I definitely feel the hearing aid/partial deafness is the biggest hindrance in finding women and potential partners especially within the Indian community. The dates I've had in the past, some of the questions I get are "Have I ever had genetic testing done?" or if I have relatives with a similar hearing issue. Or if I was born with it or had it through trauma/accident. I believe I had it via congenital means (in utero) and not necessarily genetics. I don't know of any of my relatives with hearing issues.
There was one date in particular, it almost felt like an interrogation. She asked if I had speech issues as a child, and if I was bullied as a child because of my hearing (I never was). She asked me if I had any genetic testing done, lol. She asked if I had a hard time talking without hearing aid on. And if someone were to write a word on a piece of paper, would I have a hard time saying the word without my hearing aid on? Just weird questions like that. I became a dentist, so it's not like I am dumb or can't understand spoken words. Wtf...
I've had women ghost me once they find out about the hearing aid. It's sad and depressing. I don't get why it's such a big deal. Nobody says anything about people who wear glasses.
But not all the women had issue with the hearing aid. Sometimes they accepted it but it didn't work out due to personality conflicts (extrovert vs introvert) or location conflicts (some women prefer big cities over small cities). I can't exactly move because of my dental practice I am about to buy. I'm limited to staying here in small city which I was born and raised in.
I've been on dating apps like Shaadi, Bumble, Hinge, Dil Mil, etc. It is so demoralizing. People frequently ghost and/or flake even when I don't mention about my hearing impairment. Too many people on there play silly, childish games. But it's good to know that other people also struggle with dating apps and it's not just me.
Mother is pressuring me to go to India to get married. My father doesn't really agree with my mom. I think it's a very bad idea. I can't relate to anyone in India because I grew up in a western setting. Also, it's been my experience dating Indian women from India that there was always a disconnect. They commented the accent was different and they couldn't relate to me. Also, the girl may not want a forced marriage ( I don't either). Personally, I think it's a huge risk to get an arranged marriage especially as a dentist. My fear is a divorce and losing half my assets. Also, the woman would just want me for my citizenship and that's it. I told mom repeatedly I want to find an Indian woman who was raised in Canada here. My dad agrees with me.
Also, it's been my experience on Shaadi.com that many women and their families take issue with the hearing aid and completely ignore me once they find out. I almost feel like Indian people are actually more strict about it than western folks.
I am content in being alone as I am naturally introverted anyway. But there are times I do wish a companion. However, I do believe it is always better to be alone than be with the wrong person who will drive you miserable or who you cannot relate to. Too many stories about people who feel "trapped" or "settled" in their marriage and I don't want to end up like that. I'd rather stay alone yet I want to be with the right person.
Anyway, I know it's a long rant but just thought I reveal my emotions and how I feel about all this. Any advice to navigate through all this? It is depressing seeing younger relatives getting married and starting families while I am reaching nowhere.

2024.05.19 06:11 Fast-Duck-4199 Oui: 2nd offense - NOT GUILTY

Had a trial in just over 4 months from the date of the incident. Probation while waiting for trial was difficult as I had to perform random urine screensā€¦ I stayed sober the entire time.
Trial was hard to wait for, but only four months and a not guilty was worth every penny.
Now just need to wait for the RMV hearing and Iā€™ll have my license fully restored as the judge ordered.
Hope to never be in this position againā€¦
Donā€™t ever blow and avoid the field sobriety tests. I did FSTs and I wouldnā€™t have won if I blew.
Donā€™t drive especially if youā€™ve already had 1 arrest, this could have ruined my life!

2024.05.19 06:09 provegana69 So why does PureDark seem to get a pass while every other mod author is (rightfully) condemned for paywalling their mods?

If you are part of the Skyrim modding scene on PC and you haven't been living under a rock, you've probably heard of PureDark and his mods which drastically improve performance. However, the free, public version is incompatible with ENB which is usually one of the biggest performance hogs in a modlist. But, on his Patreon, you can find a version compatible with ENB that would no doubt solve the performance issues of many users.
And from what I have seen, there seems to be nothing but glowing praise for him. You will often find people recommend you join his Patreon to get the mod. I always found this weird and hypocritical. Literally every other mod author get condemned for doing the same thing that he is doing while he gets nothing but praise. There are some people who say that he will release the ENB version in the future because "the current versions are just test builds". However, this is highly unlikely as he no doubt gets a large sum of money from his Patreon from people wanting the ENB version of his Upscaler mod.
So I ask you, why should PureDark receive a pass while every other mod author gets condemned for doing the same thing he is doing? No mod can be wonderful enough to justify paywalling it permanently.

2024.05.19 06:09 Vaerellaa Moving an hour away from home

Hello, Ive been trying to find advice by seeing if anyone is in the same situation but cant find anything so iā€™m going to ask here! (Gonna be a long post because im going to put every detail, I want genuine advice that benefits my cat best)
In 2016 my family cat passed away. We were all devastated, after a while my mum who was previously a property manager found a beautiful calico cat which we presume was 3 years old, that had been left behind and hiding under the house by drug addict tenants. She would come out when my mum fed her, until eventually mum brought her home. We tried our best to keep her inside but she ran away after a week (out the cat door) We didnt know if she would come back.
When she left, my mum rescued an orange kitten that was considered too spicy and was given to us for free. 3 days later the calico cat came back! This time I kept her locked in my room upstairs, Its a massive room, with a narnia room and small balcony overlooking bush, trees and lots of nature. I was 15 at the time. She was extremely anxious, we have no idea how her previous owners treated her or if something had happened to her the week that she ran away. She would hiss at me, hide, didnt want affection. Through time she grew to love me, and became extremely affectionate and comfortable around me.
She became an inside cat, too anxious to go downstairs or leave my room as the orange cat would beat her up if she stepped foot downstairs. This led her to only live in my room. After 8 years the orange cat still attacks her. She enjoys lounging on the balcony with the wind, sun and looking at the birds and knowing she will be safe from my other family cat (hes an outside and inside cat). As I said, my room is very big with lots of windows and sunlight, lots of hiding spots etc. She loves my room. I love her so much, we cuddle to sleep everynight.
I have been with my bf for 5 years and he lives an hour away. I stay every weekend. I am now 23, and he is 25. In 3 weeks I am moving to his parents house, who has a very tiny detached living space about 10m from the main house. It has a bedroom, toilet and shower, kitchenette. We are staying there rent free and plan on saving money and buying a house within 2 years, and then moving my cat in.
The flat has very little windows and is very loud with boy racers driving past. After 5 years, I am ready to get a job down there and be with my bf everyday instead of only the weekends. I dont think she would be happy living there though as she must be around 12, and still is skitty and anxious. She wouldnt be able to leave the room as a main road is right outside. Therefore she wouldnt be able to sunbathe or anything like that.
At my family home, I lived with my mum and sister. When i move, my sister (2 years older) is going to move into my room. She will essentially be my cats main carer, and she really likes my sister and is comfortable around her. I will visit her as much as i can. I cant wait to bring her to a proper home once we buy, where she has a yard and a house to room without getting bullied.
Im also anxious as a person and i feel like im a bad cat mum. Will she be okay? :(

2024.05.19 06:08 kagura_143 Sudden Digestive Issues, what is happening to me?

Age: 22
Sex: F
Height: 5ā€™1ā€
Weight: 164 lbs
Race: hispanic
Duration of complaint: 3 months
Location: abdomen
Currently have high cholesterol. bad cholesterol count of 103 according to my primary care.
Current medications: metoclopramide 5mg. sertraline 25mg, pantoprazole 40mg
iā€™ll include pictures of some tests that iā€™ve had done in the comments if i can.
Gonna try to include as best of a description of my symptoms as i can, iā€™ll also try to edit anything if it makes my description better.
this all started 2 months ago. literally the last week of february. at the time i wasnā€™t on any type of medication. nothing changed in my eating habits, except for the fact that iā€™d had panda express for the 1st time ever starting in february.
i became constipated suddenly one afternoon and this continued for a week. went to the doctor and i was sent to get a ct scan. but obviously, iā€™m not familiar with medical terms. from what i understand, thereā€™s evidence of slow transit through my small bowel, but donā€™t know where or why exactly.
symptoms include: constipation accompanied by side and abdominal discomfort/aches/ pains. my upper abdominal area aches a lot some days. it feels as if the area right under the breast bones wants to cramp up. i feel burning in my stomach and abdomen too. gas is hard to pass somedays and feels trapped. i also have upper back aches. doctor told me itā€™s because of my small intestine. i also have lower back aches as well, but was told it could be because of kidney stones i didnā€™t even know i had, but just thought iā€™d mention this. i have diarrhea (once i went and it was very watery,) loose stools, stools with mucus of varying shapes and consistencies. the mucus on my stool is clear and white and appears like strings on my stool. sometimes iā€™ll have a semi normal movement, but with mucus. sometimes my stool will be thin, in small pieces, or just very loose even after a ā€œnormalā€ bowel movement. other times iā€™ll go but itā€™s just mucus. all my stools are also slimey in texture from what i can tell. also, everytime i wipe my stool itā€™s yellow in color with mucus and/or clear fluid.
also, not sure if this has to do with my current condition but have been wiping light red blood after i go, both with my more solid stools and loose ones. in one instance i even wiped only blood. thereā€™s also been times where iā€™ve seen streaks of blood on my stool too. clear fluid also seems to be leaking out of my anal areaā€¦. clear mucus sometimes too. the mucus that comes out sometimes has pieces of stool/liquid that is the color of my stool. even with the supplements and meds iā€™ve been given iā€™m lucky if I go even once a day now, but constipation is getting worse in my opinion.
in late march/early april i started to experience nausea, heartburn, acid reflux, and severe loss of appetite. all of these symptoms have persisted since. i no longer eat any of the food i used to. i canā€™t eat fast food or meat any more. iā€™m sticking to fruit, no citrusy fruits, crackers, soups, and cereal with almond or lactose free milk. even with these changes in diet my symptoms have persisted.
i eat very little because i just donā€™t feel hunger like i used to at all. even if i do i find that i get full very easily. iā€™m bloated after i eat as well. also, like i said iā€™m constipated so my bowel movement are little to none.
i currently still have all of the symptoms above and they donā€™t seem to be improving.
in a addition to a ct scan iā€™ve gotten tested for a blood infection, negative. celiac disease blood test came back negative. stool test for h pylori came back negative. a test to find if there was any blood digested and present in my stool came back negative. a stool test that was done to measure levels of fat in my stool came back indicating normal levels of fat in my stool. i also got an ultra sound for lumps that appeared on my abdomen but it was found that they were just fatty lumps. i also got an endoscopy in late april where 3 tissue biospies were taken. apparently, the 3 things they tested for all came back negative. other than a bacterial infection, i have no idea what else they ruled out. iā€™m not even white sure what bacterial infections they ruled out.
honestly, iā€™m getting more questions than answers at the moment and just want to know if thereā€™s any more testing that i should ask for. what could possibly be happening to me and why?

2024.05.19 06:08 muzso User manual as a PDF

This is my first shot at this. My original goal was to just create a local copy that can be used in a browser even if your offline, but u/olegccc's comment in https://www.reddit.com/ex30/comments/1cv3v2t/pdf_user_manual/ gave me the idea to generate a PDF from it.
It's already pretty usable, but still more like a proof-of-concept, than a polished end result.
The PDF was created with the following steps:
  1. Download a copy (local mirror) of the online manual. I used wget for now, but it's far from perfect (the mirroring process is quite error prone).
  2. Process/modify the downloaded copy so it doesn't reference www.volvocars.com. I.e. make the copy self-contained, so it works even if offline.
  3. Remove all JavaScript. This was easier than to solve the issues with burned-in hostnames and/or absolute URLs. For a PDF the JS code is not needed anyway.
  4. Test in browsers via a local HTTP server (actually I just used Python's built-in HTTP server).
  5. Generate a new "index-single-page.html" by using the start (mostly the ) from index.html, then adding the contents of the tags from all pages (index.html, software-release-notes, article/*).
  6. Add CSS page breaks between all pages, this makes the PDF more readable.
  7. Close the HTML (i.e. add a "").
  8. Open the new "index-single-page.html" page in a browser and save as PDF.
I've created two versions of the PDF from the same HTML source. One with Firefox and one with Chrome.
Both are based on a snapshot of the UK user manual, saved on 2024-04-29.
Known issues:
  1. I've inserted page breaks before every manual page, but Firefox doesn't honor the first one (i.e. the one between the ToC and the "Software updates" pages). Chrome has no such issue.
  2. There're a number of mp4 movie files in the manual, which the PDF rendering simply left empty (blank space). Later I'll take snapshots of these mp4 files and replace the video elements with them.
  3. A couple of images are missing. I used wget to create a local mirror of the manual and there were some issues, it's not very robust, especially when volvocars.com starts to throttle the download (i.e. starts to send HTTP 4xx responses after a couple of hundred requests). Wget is not great at continuing an aborted mirroring session either. I'll try to look for a better tool for mirroring/saving the online manual.
Let me know what you think, what other issues/bugs you find, etc.

Translated by Claude AI

The 2024 Beijing Auto Show is still going strong. Since the first day of the auto show, Zhou Hongyi and Lei Jun's "one red and one green" appearances caused a traffic frenzy, setting an example for all automaker bosses. CEOs from various companies visited each other's booths, praising one another, which became a common sight at this auto show. One "hot search" trend after another was produced, bringing unprecedented attention. Almost every day, the exhibition venue was packed with people.
After the traffic frenzy, some trends have become increasingly apparent. Many exhibition visitors observed that intelligent driving was undoubtedly a hot topic at this auto show, with major automakers heavily showcasing their intelligent driving technologies.
For example, XPeng's senior director of autonomous driving system development, Ma Jun, introduced XPeng's latest intelligent driving technologies and achievements on site. According to him, in April 2024, XPeng became the first Chinese automaker to successfully test its self-developed, high-level navigation guided pilot (HNGP) system based on autonomous driving technology in Europe, accelerating the global production of XNGP.
Interestingly, on the eve of the auto show, the International Data Corporation (IDC) also released a report titled "Intelligent Driving Capability Assessment, 2024," comprehensively evaluating the intelligent driving experience of various automakers through real-vehicle testing.
It is understood that IDC's evaluation this time covered six automotive brands: NIO, Li Auto, Tesla, WM Motor, XPeng, and Zeekr. It focused on seven major capabilities: intelligent vehicle model coverage, automatic parking, memory parking, highway lane centering control (LCC), urban LCC, highway navigation guided pilot, and urban navigation guided pilot. Each dimension was scored from 1 to 5 based on the measured performance of various functions, with higher scores indicating better performance.
The final report showed that the automotive brands included in the report generally scored above 3 in all functions.
Among them, thanks to its long-term investment and accumulation in AI and intelligent driving, XPeng has been able to integrate advanced intelligent driving functions into lower-priced models and demonstrate outstanding performance in complex urban road conditions, receiving full scores in 6 categories.WM Motor also performed well in memory parking and urban navigation guided pilot thanks to its technology advantages from Huawei. Brands like NIO, Li Auto, and Zeekr also scored decently in this assessment due to their resource integration and continuous efforts in the intelligent driving direction. Tesla's performance was not outstanding in this assessment due to limited function openness.
IDC also predicted in the report that global sales of intelligent driving vehicles will maintain rapid growth, while AI-driven intelligent driving development and expansion of autonomous driving application scenarios will be important market trends in the future.
Some automakers have already started to increase their efforts in these directions. For example, regarding the issue of end-to-end large models for vehicles, several automakers have announced that their launch timelines will be concentrated in the first half of this year.
At this auto show, XPeng's chairman He Xiaopeng also announced that its end-to-end intelligent driving solution has begun public testing and will be officially released next month. According to He Xiaopeng, based on the end-to-end large model, XPeng's XNGP advanced intelligent driving assistance system will complete upgrades to the perception large model and the control large model.
In addition to the end-to-end driving solution, XPeng's AI Tianji system released this time is said to be the industry's first operating system that applies AI technology to intelligent cabins and intelligent driving, and is expected to begin mass rollout on May 20th of this year.
