2024.05.19 06:09 NotGutus Your tips for a no-GM sci-fi game

I've been running a homebrew game that started from 5e, for about 2 years now. Since I've worked on my skills and theory actively, I think I've got decently good at it.
I want to divert from the medieval high fantasy games I'm running though, so now I'm doing a oneshot that's promised to be scifi themed. I've invited the players that don't mind a more narrative game with little emphasis on crunch. Since I don't have a world prepared and I'm pretty much going to be winging it, I was first going to let them develop the setting a little by giving them some time to create their characters, species, skills, etc. I've also had the idea to let them decide if they even want a GM, as I know there are games where the players improv everything.
  1. How is running sci-fi different from fantasy? What do I have to look up before the game so I know how it works (wormholes, someone's theories about the development of civilisations, how radiation works)?
  2. How do no-GM games work? How does the system deal with the fact that there isn't someone who knows all the background info?
  3. Other tips?
Thanks!

2024.05.19 06:04 chrismatic13 What is ā€œYour Turn, My Turnā€ Offense As A Form of Criticism and Is It Actually Legitimate?

A common critique from pundits and critics has been that the Celtics will never win a championship because they are too similar and pretty much take turns iso-ing. However, when I watch the Mavs that seems like what Luka and Kyrie do and itā€™s quite effective. Or even going to the Cavs era with LeBron and Kyrie, Game 7 seemed like the pinnacle of that type of offense.
I believe the rebuttal would be ā€œThey play off each other and empower role playersā€ but I think Tatum does that sometimes too much to the point people question his aggressiveness and willingness to look for his own shot. I believe some people tend to see successful duos as only playing together through PnRā€™s like Murray and Jokic or exclusively feeding each other particularly in the clutch like LeBron and Wade.
The Clippers have also been accused of this with Kawhi and Paul George but the pair together has a 124-57 record. As we know they havenā€™t won a championship by now but I donā€™t think itā€™s a stretch to say that if Kawhi didnā€™t go down with his injury in 21, they beat the Suns and more than likely challenge the Bucks. However the issue since Kawhi got to LA, is Kawhi is rarely healthy and we will always play the what-if hypothetical. Back to the topic, I donā€™t think the main reason the Clippers experiment has failed is because Paul and Kawhi arenā€™t compatible or play ā€œYour Turn, My Turnā€.

2024.05.19 06:03 ToGtheOtakuguy YOUR TOP 10 UNDERRATED ANIME SERIES IN 2000s (2000 - 2009)

Note: The era 2000s (2000 - 2009), where a lot of great anime series went unnoticed, due to less appeal outside of Japan on non - big shows. It was an era where big titles were ruling all over place, big shonen mangas were had anime adaptation that are popular to this day like "One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, Detective Conan", some very popular anime originals like "Code Geass, Gurren Lagann" to critically acclaimed "Monster" and most other animes are went unnoticed. It was also an era where watching anime considered weird, whereas now "all cool kids watching anime" era, and more sites to watch anime compare to back then.
My top 10 underrated anime series in 2000s (not in ranking order) are:
A. Baccano (it's from the same author who did Durarara, but for me this one even better which was the first light novel I read because at this point everybody should give up on season 2 for this anime)
B. Welcome to the N.H.K (emotional package the series: the story deal with depression, anxiety, isolation, existential dread, the hardships of life, but S tier show nonetheless)
C. Eden of the East (an anime original from the writer of Ghost in the shell stand alone complex, s tier show deals with terrorism and kind of game to save Japan, absolutely entertaining series)
D. Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo (it is based on the novel from the renowned writer Alexandre Dumas "The Count of Monte Cristo" novel, great and unique animation that is so underrated)
E. Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit (a great and very underrated series that had the fantasy elements that set in the historical period)
F. Den-noh Coil (the most underrated Sci-fi anime of all time without a doubt, that deals with real world, Internet world, software tools and so on, very interesting and entertaining show)
G. Ergo Proxy (if you are fan of cyberpunk genre that loved Ghost in the Shell, finished "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" and want more, this series is absolutely recommend, definitely worth your time)
H. Nana (one of the best, if not the best musical anime in shojo/josei genre that heavily deals with drama and friendship, fun fact nowadays it's easy to see a series outsell "One Piece" in yearly sells, but back then when it was impossible to touch "One Piece" there are only 3 series achieve that feat: Vagabond, Death Note and Nana)
I. Beck (this is the best musical series in Shonen genre, very great and underrated series that deals with a band, awesome series definitely need more love)
J. Bokurano (perhaps one of the most, if not the most underrated mecha series ever, do not ignore this just because "mecha" a lot of people nowadays tend to do this, absolutely amazing series)
Honourable Mention:
FLCL a.k.a Fooly Cooly (the embodiment of "greatly weird and weirdly great" a surreal Sci-fi series that is just 6 episode long)
Looking up at the half-moon (another 6 episodes long, romance drama, beautiful, cute, and totally amazing series)
Ghost Hunt (a series about paranormal activities, not much of a groundbreaking series, for me I main liked because of the group of people on the paranormal activity dynamic is so good to watch)
There's a lot to recommend on the underrated anime from 2000s for now let's stick with the top 10 and 3 honourable mention the most.
What are your top 10 underrated anime series from the 2000s era (2000 - 2009)? You may give top 5 or even top 3 if you want.

2024.05.19 06:01 Explainr5 Infinity Girl - Chroma Games - A high-speed rhythm roguelike for fans of Hi-Fi Rush, Thumper and Descenders (New demo just launched)

Infinity Girl is a rhythm-action roguelike focused on speed and flow. Everything in the game ā€” every action, every obstacle and every level you encounter ā€” is driven by the beat of the music. Each run is unique, featuring huge procedurally generated maps that you can grind, drift and leap across at incredible speeds.
The game is for fans of rhythm-action games like Hi-Fi Rush, Thumper and Rez as well as roguelikes like Descenders, Crypt of the Necrodancer and Spelunky.
I've been solo-developing Infinity Girl for around 3 years now, and I just released a big new demo. With 7 levels and 3 unique modes, the demo is a mini-roguelike unto itself! It also works great on Steam Deck :-)

Hope you enjoy the demo! If you do, a wishlist would go a long way in supporting this project.

2024.05.19 05:59 ThisByzantineConduit PSA: The real game starts after the credits roll (no spoilers).

First off, please nothing even vaguely resembling spoilers in the comments. Iā€™m not fully done yet and I donā€™t want others to have a single secret or item spoiled either, as itā€™s just too special an experience.
Iā€™m gonna be very vague because I would never dream of robbing anyone of the sheer magic Iā€™ve experienced on a totally blind run, but Iā€™m making this post because I just want those who maybe rolled credits and moved on right after to know: the real game starts after itā€™s ā€œoverā€.
The ā€œfind new abilities to access four MacGuffinsā€ structure is just an introduction to the basic mechanics and worldā€”a tutorial, of sorts (an awesome one at that, though). Post-game is where the immense satisfaction and payoff for all your time spent with the game occurs.
Weird mysterious rooms, esoteric structures, and game-long mysteries you pulled your hair out trying to crack, to no avail, finally reveal themselves to you, and it recontextualizes everything you did in the ā€œmain storyā€. It really makes the whole experience come full circle and ties it together wonderfully, leaving you with something approaching closure (I say approaching because it seems the game never actually ends šŸ˜…).
Most games will have secrets or opaque post-games where my jaw drops a few times, but Iā€™ve literally had at least one or two absolutely mind-blowing moments, where Iā€™ve screamed out loud ā€œno f$&@ing wayā€ and sat there stunned, per single hour Iā€™ve played post-game (played 5 hours today and had like 9 of these moments).
IMO, you havenā€™t really played Animal Well if you skip whatā€™s probably the longest part of the game, with some of the most interesting and awe-inspiring content. And the craziest thing is you never actually know when itā€™s over; I keep hitting points where I think Iā€™ve finally seen everything and then I discover entirely new items and areas. Thereā€™s actually more tools and key items in the post-game than in all of the game pre-credits, which is wild.
Just wanted to give this PSA for those tempted to move on after the end or for those who, like me, sometimes lose steam after finishing the main story. Itā€™s really worth doing here, and thatā€™s a massive understatement. This game is truly something special that only comes once in a blue moon, so really savor it. The fact this game was all created by one dude just absolutely floors me; he should be immensely proud. Now get out there and play detective!

2024.05.19 05:56 FinalPin3 Advice needed on my first $1200-1400 build. Parts list attached.

I feel pretty good about what I've put together so far but I want to see if I'm on the right track.
The main reason I'm upgrading from my 8 year old laptop is for casual game development with Unity. I'll also use it for streaming, gaming, and might try out blender or similar programs. I've never really been into gaming but games like Forza, Baldurs Gate, The Witcher, and Red Dead Redemption sound interesting. Also not worried about ray tracing.
Requirements: - 1440p (preferred) - 60 fps - Easy upgradability. I don't want to be replacing everything if I upgrade my gpu or cpu.
GPU is the biggest part I'm questioning

2024.05.19 05:55 Shortugae Having a hard time finding new series to read. Character driven books similar to Brandon Sanderson?

I have an exceptionally difficult time really getting into books (as well as movies and video games). Thereā€™s lots of books i can read and be like ā€œthat was fineā€ but itā€™s hard to find a book or series where Iā€™m like, excited to read it every day. I tend to go back and re-read the same stuff over and over again because there are books Iā€™ve found that really resonate with me, and itā€™s easier to read those over and over again rather than go through the effort of finding something new and going through the slog of suffering through it until it grows on me enough that I feel invested. I think Iā€™m extremely picky about what I do and donā€™t like, but I have no idea how to articulate what that is. Despite my difficulties in finding new stuff to read, I would really like to read a lot more, but Iā€™m not sure where to start.
I think the best way I can explain what Iā€™m looking for is by giving examples of what I like and donā€™t like. What I like:
Brandon Sanderson is easily my favourite author because (aside from his prose which I know is generally not great) he manages to have this complex high fantasy that feels grounded and engaging because of the way the characters are written. His stories are fundamentally about interesting and relatable characters existing within worlds that are so much bigger than them.
Since starting them at the age of 7 I think Iā€™ve read the Harry Potter books in their entirety like 15 times. Theyā€™re awesome. I donā€™t think I need to explain why I like them. They probably strike some of the same balances that Brandon Sanderson hits as I explained above.
I read a lot of YA stuff growing up. The Percy Jackson books and the Eragon series are probably the main books from my youth that I still read and find compelling, though Iā€™m not necessarily looking for stuff similar to them. The writing is really juvenile in both examples. Nostalgia is probably an element of my enjoyment, though I think I do find the characters in those books pretty compelling. The other ā€œbigā€ YA stuff I read when I was younger Iā€™m really NOT a fan of (Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Divergent (holy shit I hate that series so much)). I think I really hate books that are like, edgy and cool for the sake of being edgy and cool (which is probably most YA).
For stuff Iā€™ve tried to get into but couldnā€™t, or even books I did read and enjoy but am not really looking for more of:
I read Dune. Took me a couple of tries but eventually managed to finish it and overall I enjoyed it. Definitely NOT looking for more books like it. (both because Frank Herbert writes really weird, and also because it sort of feels like the opposite of Brandon Sanderson, where the characters exist within this big cool world, except theyā€™re not even remotely relatable or compelling).
I know many people will recommend I read Wheel of Time after saying I like Brandon Sanderson. Iā€™ll probably give it another try in the future, but on my first attempt I just could NOT get into it at all. I donā€™t know what was wrong with it or me. The series is incredibly long (which is totally fine with me), but I hear it fluctuates quite a bit in terms of quality/engagement, which Iā€™m not a fan of.
I read Enders Game and actually really enjoyed it, but Iā€™m not sure if itā€™s quite what Iā€™m looking for.
I swear Iā€™m gonna finish it one day, but holy moly Iā€™m really struggling to get into Lord of the Rings.
I read most of the Witcher books and wasnā€™t really a fan, but I love the world and vibe of the Witcher.
This is very different, but I recently read fifteen dogs by Andre Alexis, at the behest of a friend. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Iā€™m not opposed to books that have more complexity in their themes/messages.
I hope thatā€™s some help. Iā€™m looking for books that I canā€™t put down because Iā€™m just so invested in them. I think the characters, including their design and how theyā€™re written is a big element of my enjoyment. I enjoy fantasy and cool world building, but thatā€™s not necessarily a rule, especially since a lot of fantasy feels extremely derivative which I donā€™t like. The books donā€™t have to be fantasy at all, it could be (some form of) sci-fi or even realism (or whatever youā€™d call it).

Gpu is going a bit haywire (need help)
Computer Type: Desktop GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT 16gb CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Motherboard: ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard RAM: 16 gb (2) T-Force Vulcan DDR5 PSU: Deepcool PX850G 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Case: Montech AIR 903 BASE ATX Mid Tower Case Operating System & Version: Windows 11 Home 23H2 GPU Drivers: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Driver Version: 31.0.24033.1003 Chipset Drivers: AMD B650 Background Applications: none (only the computer essentials being active)
Original problem: PC AMD software is giving me these high gpu readings even when on idle and doing absolutely nothing with 0 applications open. Not sure why. Been happening all day and only randomly started when I first booted it up today. It just spikes up and down and wonā€™t let me play any games without super low frame rates.
Troubleshooting: tried updating drivers (from manufacturer site) and updating windows, plus countless restarts, no results. Tried rolling back gpu drivers, nothing. Tried rolling entire pc back to a week prior to this random problem popping up, still nothing. Want to stop my gpu from fritzing out wether running games or not since it shouldnā€™t be going haywire on idle or in game like this.

2024.05.19 05:49 mrgndx (Solution) AGESA 1.0.0.7 solves GPU woes (not detected or PCIe running at x2)

Hi guys,
Since January I have been testing my new SFF PC builds with MSI B650I Edge Wi-Fi.
I am here to report an important finding which I deem critical.
TLDR; Install BIOS version 7D73v14 to solve all issues with cold boot GPU detection and PCIe lanes. Most importantly, this version has AMDā€™s AGESA version 1.0.0.7. Anything higher than that causes the issues.
Description and details of the issues below. 1) On anything higher than 7D73v14 but before 7D73v19 I had issues when switched from 4070 to 4070 Super (both ASUS Dual OC, FWIW). Upon cold boot and after regular 40 sec of memory training, motherboard threw a white light and error beeps (I have a buzzer installed) that pointed to VGA problem. I had iGPU disabled at that moment.
Next time I reset CMOS, and cold booted again. This time it only found iGPU. Weirdly enough, after a restart, it was able to find the discrete GPU! Cold boot consistently was missing dGPU.
I rolled back to 7D73v14 until 7D73v19, which had the GPU not detected issues fixed. I tried it, and detection was great every time. Or so I thoughtā€¦
Later I learned about an issue number two, after I started noticed random freezes once every few minutes in games for now reason (no overheating, my deshrouded GPU is <60 degC under load, power on PCIe and 12VHPWR is always > 12.1 V, CPU doing well as well, etc).
2) It turned out, every cold boot dGPU was booting at x2 lanes instead of x16! I found this out in GPU-Z. However, this was not a usual issue when, for example, there is not enough contact in the PCIe lanes (especially for me, I have FormD T1 with a riser cable), since the interface did switch correctly corresponding to the GPU load. So, for example, it said ā€œx2 1.1ā€ or ā€œx2 2.0ā€ while idle, and ā€œx2 3.0ā€ or ā€œx2 4.0ā€ when running FurMark or games.
Same symptom as in issue 1: if I then restarted, PCIe lanes were correct x16! And after each restart as well. So only cold boot was a problem, again.
So I then rolled back to good old trusty 7D73v14, with AGESA 1.0.0.7.
Thanks to u/morty_blaze in this thread: https://www.reddit.com/pcmasterrace/comments/185lp19/comment/kzo80mb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
I hope this information might be useful for other brand AMD motherboards as well, not only mini-ITX ones.
I hope AMD will be able to sort things out in a year or two. I donā€™t wanna miss out on the CPU upgrade just because of these GPU issues :D
Thanks!

2024.05.19 05:47 ywlke287 ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 AMD (G3A) - reflections of a former T430s user after >1 year

Back in late 2022, I was looking to upgrade my 10 year old ThinkPad T430s (which was still performing like a champ) to something a bit more modern with respect to being thin and lightweight while also being durable with good battery life. Given the state of Intel mobile CPUs at the time, the X1 Carbon was sadly out as an option as it only comes with Intel.
Overall, the T14s Gen 3 AMD was a great upgrade from my then-10 year old T430s. Now that I've had it for about 1.5 years, I figure I'd share my longer-term impressions of the laptop. Hope folks find the details below helpful, even though it's not late-breaking.
Configuration: CTO with Ryzen 7 6850U, 32 GB RAM, 400 nit low power screen, self-upgrade to Samsung 980 PRO 1 TB SSD
Likes:
  1. Similar in portability/weight to the top-of-the-line X1 Carbon but with AMD CPU.
  2. The touchpad is very smooth and pleasant to use, unlike on my prior ThinkPads. (I would love to have the Fn-F12 key toggle the touchpad on and off as an option since my hands run warm and tend to activate it while typing.)
  3. The 400 nit screen is beautiful.
  4. The laptop is cool and quiet; the fan almost never runs with browsing or office tasks while on battery.
  5. I can get 8-12 hours of battery depending on what I'm running; I have yet to run out of battery between charges.
  6. The integrated graphics card is more than sufficient for light gaming.
  7. On top of that, it came certified to run Ubuntu Linux 20.04 (with the OEM kernel variant), which runs quite smoothly.
Stuck in standby problem - workaround identified:
This was the single biggest annoyance I experienced. Routinely, every 0.5 days to a week, the laptop would fail to wake up from standby after being in it for at least an hour or so. The power light would just continue to pulse, and I would have to hard power off and on. Despite upgrading to Lenovo premier support, getting a system board replacement, as well as several more calls to premier support, I was never able to get the problem fixed, until u/sbundlab's post on this sub: https://www.reddit.com/thinkpad/comments/18fagpc/fix\_thinkpad\_p16s\_gen\_1\_amdt16\_amdp14s\_gen\_3/. Rolling back the Qualcomm Bluetooth and Wi-Fi drivers to 1.x did the trick and I haven't had another instance of stuck-in-standby since.
Keyboard:
The keyboard isn't what it used to be (compared to a T430s or similar era) but the tradeoffs all seem to be related to making a thinner laptop, which is what I wanted anyways. The biggest thing I had to get used to with the keyboard was that the keys bottom out below the frame/tray, so if I hit a key too close to its edge, my finger will run into the frame. I actually think this is more of a problem for me than the decreased key travel itself. The most obvious time this happens is when I press Ctrl-Shift-Esc to bring up Task Manager. I'm used to pressing Ctrl-Shift together with the thumb but when I do that now, the frame hits the middle of my thumb and I might not fully depress both keys so easily. The curvature of each key top is also less than what I prefer, but still better than flat. The arrow keys are sadly flat and I am noticeably less accurate with them as a result to either concave or convex keys. But otherwise the keyboard is fine to type on.
Quirks:
  1. For some reason the laptop boots very slowly when I have a lot of USB devices attached; it's as if the BIOS is taking a long time to enumerate all of the devices. My workaround is just to be more patient, or to unplug USB until Windows starts to boot.
  2. I would prefer to have kept volume keys separate from F keys since I actually use my F keys routinely.
  3. I would prefer to have orange or green keyboard LEDs instead of white, since white is a little harsher in the dark.
  4. I prefer the old power status indicators on the lid; the pulsing red dot while in standby is sleek, but it means I have to stare at the laptop for a good 3 seconds to figure out if it's in standby versus straight on or off.
Other quibbles:
  1. When using the laptop on my lap, the bottom of the screen hits my leg. This is because the hinge now swings the screen behind the base rather than keeping it entirely above the base like it did with older models.
  2. It takes two hands to open the laptop lid, which is due to increased friction keeping the laptop closed now that latches aren't used any more.
  3. The lower edge of the base now has a hard corner transition rather than a taper, since the laptop is too thin to taper. It doesn't bother me when typing but I notice it when I do a one-handed carry with the laptop open.
  4. I worry a little about the durability of the USB-C connection which is required for charging. But at least both ports can charge.

2024.05.19 05:40 FloppyBisque New Info. Ryan Cohen offered to purchase Bed Bath and Beyond in December of 2022. It feels like we should discuss it.

New Info. Ryan Cohen offered to purchase Bed Bath and Beyond in December of 2022. It feels like we should discuss it.
You may remember that in early November 2022, Ryan Cohen was interviewed by GMEdd people.
During that interview he was asked about his investment in another company- which I am not allowed to discuss on this sub, largely because of this interview and that RC said that ā€œhis views on the company has changedā€.
That company is now in a lawsuit against former board members who allegedly defrauded the company out of $11b.
Thanks to this lawsuit it has not been made public that one month after the GMEdd interview with RC, RC offered to purchase this company for $400m one month AFTER this interview. Clearly RC was still interested.
Now, I donā€™t know if this topic will be allowed by the mods, but a lot of fuckery has gone one and the chapter 11 that they are currently going through has been veryā€¦ interesting. Iā€™m not trying to sound crazy when I say, thereā€™s at least a small chance that RC is trying to acquire baby.
I am happy to provide more context if people want, but that might not be worth discussing on this sub.
What IS worth discussing on this sub is that:
1) RC bought into this other company and was specifically interested in the baby portion. 2) RC sold his stake and itā€™s unclear if he was allowed to keep his profits. 3) RC said his views changed of the company in the interview. 4) RC tries to buy the full company rather than just get in the board. 5) RC is named CIO of GME
Everyone knows RC is looking to acquire (unless itā€™s a KC shuffle). Why are we ignoring the one he actually tried to buy and actually bought into. Iā€™m not shilling this company - you canā€™t even buy it anymore.
But it feels like with new information, we should put the wrinkles onto the case. Would GME expand into this world?

2024.05.19 05:35 G0merPyle 35 [TF4F] demisexual bambi lesbian in NC

Trying this again because I keep getting anxious about it. Anyways, Hi! šŸ˜Š I'm a giant nerd with a bunch of of hobbies (cartoons, sci-fi, retro gaming, cars, motorcycles, model building, 3d printing, baking, etc), and always looking for new anime recommendations. I've been on HRT for a year and 10 months now, I live in the western part of the state and looking for people nearby or at least within a couple hours (just not looking for a long distance thing right now, I'd like to be able to meet for in-person dates).
As far as physical compatibility goes, I'm 5'7 and curvy. The best way to describe myself is demisexual Bambi lesbian. I prefer forms of physical intimacy like hugging, kissing, cuddling, snuggling, caressing, etc over sex. I can do sex, but I need a strong emotional connection first before I'm comfortable with or interested in doing that, so it's going to take time to get there, and even then I don't particularly want it or need it much (I go from sex-repulsed to sex indifferent). I like the intimacy of it more than the physical sensations, if that makes sense. My idea of a romantic evening is snuggling up on the couch and watching studio Ghibli moviesšŸ„° That all said I tend to be more of a bottom or a stone femme, I just don't like being touched sexually.
As far as hard boundaries: I don't do drink or do drugs, I don't mind if you do either but if you're a heavy user of either (especially hard drugs) I'm probably not a good match. Also I'm strictly monogamous and will not get involved with anyone that's poly, I've had really bad experiences in this regard and this isn't negotiable.

2024.05.19 05:29 im_going_like_Elsie When I go im going like Elsie

Yesterday. on the day of my birthday, I saw news that allegedly AB had seen my post on Star Wars. I thought that was far-fetched since AB said someone sent him a message calling him obsessed with Anakin (my exact wording) but I only posted about it here and did not reach out directly to AB
I guess I was wrong because shortly after my account was banned/under review....And you did it at my birthday dinner... thankfully I was able to log back in today but I'm going to be honest, I thought it was over for sure and made my peace with it. but now that I have this second wind I decided to take it
So remember remember, the day of my birthday, of gunpowder treason and plot, I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.
Here I want to talk about H3's practice of knowingly inciting indirect harassment and threats,, the number of times Dan has had to cut off Ethan's claims to not be aware or responsible for the actions of his rabid fanbase makes the argument for me. that and the reports of harassment made by certain public figures that have had the misfortune of crossing paths with Ethan and his goons.
going after people who vocally don't agree with him, borderline blackmailing them for a retraction and apology. weather it is a twitter account like misha, or fellow YouTuber like Jake Doolitle, whose only crime was to not have a good sense of humor and being condescending, going on online crusades to destroy their reputations and livelihood claiming moral high ground while justifying genocide, and justifying your pedo-rapist-human-trafficking friends with "friends will be friends"
targeting this sub and trying to shut down any avenue of unflattering nuanced conversation and monopolize being a giant dick
the crew is not only the workforce that keeps the show alive, they are also the force that keeps the racists happy by offering the pass,
I don't expect anyone to be the embodiment of morality but come on, you don't need to be one to see a genocide unfold and want it to stop. you do not need to be a perfect angel to see the absolute devastation and ethnic cleansing unfolding and fearing being on that position, in the shoes of the oppressed forced to witness their entire families be wiped out in the most brutal of ways.
ok, I guess they no longer spread hate and misinformation on Palestine, they claimed they won't discuss it any longer and that leaves us with the sh3tshow that is leftover today.
might as well do sleeping streams
Speed run:
so put down the knitting. the book and the broom, its time for a holiday

2024.05.19 05:17 BonelessBanshee [17NB] What's it like to have a friend? Interlinked.

Hiloooo all, my name is Genesis! I'm 17 years old (18 in a month), nonbinary, autistic, and a furry. If that controversial amalgamation of social identities hasn't dissuaded you, read further, dear sojourner... My final year of highschool is coming to a close and with it a lot of change will usher in. It's a bit overwhelming to think about, but for now I'm cruising and things are placid (minus finals, which actually aren't so bad). However, I find myself somewhat lonely - and would love to pick up a few friends to go into this new era of my life with.
Anyhow, more in terms of my interests, I love a lot of intellectual things. I'm very drawn into political theory right now, philosophy and psychology are also things I eventually want to get a better grasp on. I've been reading a lot of classic Marxist canon lately, I got into Capital but have been taking a break to focus on ending my school year. The intellectual scene however is very much bogged down by holier-than-thou individuals who do a lot of arguing, polarizing, and little action or community work - as they like to think they're above the world. As a member of the world this irks me. So, inevitably, I want to use whatever I learn to engage with my community and promote meaningful political action - though for now my study hasn't amounted to much materially.
As for hobbies that allow me to step away from the chaos of the world and relax, I love a lot of things; from videogames, to television, to Dungeons & Dragons. I typically love RPGs when it comes to gaming, for now I'm balancing my time between Animal Well, NieR: Automata, and Stardew Valley. In terms of television, I'm big into sci-fi right now (Bonus points if you're a Trekkie. Need someone to get me into that!), in particular Battlestar Galactica has kept me hanging on every episode. And though D&D is the TTRPG im into - this summer I want to try and explore the tabletop scene more extensively, maybe Pathfinder or even Warhammer 40k.
If you feel we could bond, don't hesitate to drop a DM! Feel free to even stalk my profile a lil' if you want to uncover more deadly secrets about me. But plsplspls give me something more than "hi" or "hru," or I may ignore you
