2024.05.18 23:26 ManuMaker [FO3] Fallout 3 lacks HUD and black-colored interactions.

Hi guys my modded Fallout 3 is without HUD, it never activates, and when I approach to talk to someone the interaction is black, I tried setting the gamma color from the menu (and it is the standard) and even tried disabling all mods (even Immersive HUD, which should equally show the HUD when you perform certain actions) but it doesn't appear at all!
I also downloaded Pulse ENB by downloading the ReShades and putting them in the game folder (also replacing dxgi and d3d9, now I don't remember the process exactly), I'm afraid the problem might be coming from there although I wouldn't know how that's possible.

2024.05.18 23:11 helioboros How to change the name of a character on your server.

Disclaimer: I'm using this walkthrough, just hoping to clarify terms and how it works / what is necessary in order to properly package your file. u/weasel1453 you are a proper legend for figuring this out in the first place and I'm deeply appreciative. This is just my effort to lay it out in as simple terms as possible.
To start with, you'll want to back up your server's files. Multiple times. Be thorough. Messing up here will wipe what you have, and frankly I had a big scare where I thought I'd lost everything. If you're using Gportal for a dedicated server use their manual backup to be able to easily and completely restore what you've got. It saved my ass.
If you are using Gportal to host your server, you really need to get something like FileZilla or another FTP client. Instructions and download links are found here. You'll find all the information you need for connecting on the Status page, and everything copies with a simple click - IP, Port, etc. You could use the online file manager, but I find it to be much too slow to be worth it, when FTP will let you manage your files much more quickly and efficiently.
To modify .SAVE files, you will need a hex editor. I use HxD, which you can find here.
To re-zip the file afterward, you'll need a zipping software that can convert into .gz. I use 7zip, which you can find here.
Once you've handled that, get your latest save or autosave: it'll be nested somewhere like save-data/saves/v3/(world name: mine is 'dedicated'). You should see a list of .save zipped folders, as well as ServerGameSettings.json, SessionId.json, and StartDate.json. Here's what it looks like hosted on Gportal:

Download your most recent save, unless you're hosting it on your computer - in which case just copy it elsewhere for your backup, then extract it.
You'll be left with a .SAVE file in the extracted folder. Open that with HxD.

It'll look intimidating at first. Just ctrl+f or hit 'search' at the top to search for the name you want to replace. (You'll likely find multiple instances of it; I don't know what determines how often the name occurs.) Keep your search in the text-string tab (default, the far left one) and hit 'All' on search direction.
Say here we want to replace 'Agape'.

If I wanted to change it into a name with the same number of letters, that would be easy; Raven, for instance, would only need me to replace the letters of Agape. As you type, the new letters will replace the ones that are already there (don't worry about the 00 bits after the name, they appear to be spacing in the data), as well as changing the hex to the left to match, making the process neat and tidy.
If you want to change the number of letters in the name, that's a bit more complicated. Let's replace Megara with Meg, if she's feeling like nicknames.
The bit that comes in the second space before the name refers to the number of letters in the name. You'll need to replace it with the proper hexadecimal - which is fairly straightforward between numbers 1-9, and then 10 is 0A and so on. Here is a hexadecimal converter.

To change her name from Megara to Meg, you want to change the 06 to a 03 to reflect the number of letters in her name, and then change the letters you've removed to 00.

Alternatively, to lengthen a name, you simply change the preceding bit to indicate its new length and proceed to overwrite the following 00 bits. Here, I am changing the name 'Dina' to 'Xedina'.

Once you have every instance of the name you want to alter changed - and search several times, both backwards and forwards, as I've found the search function can be finicky - then you can save your file.
From here, put it into 7zip, and set the archive format to 'gzip'.

And now you can replace the most recent save file on your server or personal world! You'll have to test from here; I had errors for the first few hours I was trying, until I found that it was the issue of the file zipper I was using before 7zip (I had been using a zip-to-gzip converter) that was corrupting or otherwise making my files incompatible, resulting in my server crashing and giving me this error:

2024.05.18 22:51 Future_Inspector_892 Apartment Management won't honor a lease for amount I signed

Hi, I am in Atlanta.
So last June I signed an early bird special to renew my least for a less amount if I respond by a specific time frame. I did sign by the due date and was expecting to pay the rent for that amount. When the next month came I saw I was being charged a month to month few with base rent at a higher amount than I signed for. I went to the portal to confirm the leased I signed for and it was not in the document file in the portal.. I went to management to ask what happened and saw that we now have a new property management. But same receptionist. I asked about the lease and they advised that they do not have a signed leasing agreement in the system. I spoke in person with the new manager and communicated by sending emails back in forth to the leasing management, and her advising she would help me. But we did determine that the lease was dropped from the portal because ALL tenants did not sign.. They had my children listed as adult tenants and I did not sign because I've never had to do so because they are minors( I've been here for 5 years and never had to sign).. They advised that I would have to provide document to prove their age, I submitted this and requested to have my rent amount adjusted to what I initially signed for.. They advised that they do not have records of that signed lease. and even questioned me signing it in the first place..I'll be honest I even started questioning myself if maybe I did something wrong and didn't submit the correct way after I signed.. and even became more disappointed in myself for not downloading the signed copy like I normally would, but for some reason I didn't this time...I had not have a solid lease during this time frame and was presented with a new lease for a higher rate because they said it was the current market rate. They did refund the month to month fee, because they made the error with listing my children as adult tenants but did not have a final decision on the rent for the lesser amount . I signed and I left it alone for a while (once again we have a new team come in, we had about 8 teams since I've been living her ) until another new management team contacted me to advise I needed to confirm my date of birth because they had a glitch in the system and need to confirm my identity. I give them this information and became upset because this is one of the few times they had system issues and messed up my account. So in my frustration I brought up the lost signed lease, and me being screwed out of the lower amount of rent. and showed her a email trail of me trying to get this worked out, as well as the back and forth with the team that advised no records of the signed lease in the system. The manager agreed that it was strange that if I signed that it would just disappear from records, she didn't call my bluff and decided to investigate with me present in the office.... SHE FOUND THE LEASE I SIGNED WITH THE LOWER AMOUNT AND EMAILED ME A COPY OF IT. She apologized and agreed that this was a messed up situation due to negligence. She sent a request to the Regional manager to make adjustments to my current rent amount and to refund me the difference.. Last week I got a email advising that the request was denied. This is what she said in the email the reason for denial was.. I will remove my name and the rent amount.. but everything else is copied and pasted from the email..

"After speaking with my Regional Manager, we cannot go back and adjust the rate that was presented to you from June 2023. We do see that the lease was signed on your end and your children were accidentally listed as residents for that July 2023 renewal lease. I do not know what was or wasn’t communicated to you about that lease. We also see in October where your children were changed to occupants with Chantell and a lease was sent to you with the rate of (rent amount) for 12 months from October 2023 – October 2024, which was signed and put in place. I know you mentioned you had some conversations with Pamela, but if any price changes were to take place during October or November, she would have emailed my manager, Jenny, for adjustments to your ledger. I became involved with your charges during DecembeJanuary when you were being charged month-to-month fees incorrectly since October. Those were removed to make your ledger the correct price reflected in the signed lease.
Yes, Pamela the previous management left in November and that's when the emails between us stopped.. I went into the office and saw we had a new team.. I have email trail with conversations to Pamela about this issue before she left.. So Pamela never reached out to Regional before she left!!!! So once again they dropped the ball and I got screwed again..But I still have proof that I signed and was not granted the lower rent because the team did not diligently look in the system for the signed lease, along with emails of me communicating to Pamela about getting this fixed.. I dont understand how they wont make this right, and want to know is this ground to contact a lawyer.

good afternoon, long story short is that someone in the household must of click or downloaded something and it has infected all of our apple and android. tried factory reset but its rooted in and on the android phone i can see it has permission to reinsstall, override bunch list of everything and my iphones and ipad all gets controlled my laptop was accessed most likley through the bluetooth and airplay i didnt know or think twice loooking at my phone when i see airplay symbol think about it ane seen my computer files trying to be sent in mass and i got it basically disabled but even when it powered off i know that its not doing anything they still have access to it. is there a spyware or malware that is highly recomended and is this computer i am using safe?; it was never turned on and i disable remote access and just using the internet direct. I dont want to get a new phone and still have issues if something from the cloud, or email whatever would cause this.

Its going for 200 EUR, never opened, guy has plenty of ads like this, selling items at prices below market value, ads are also all from the city with out biggest cargo port, description also states he has all the receipts and 2 years of warranty, he states its a gift from Germany

The recipe sequences used are from my own database of recipes and include most optimal sequences to around 8-9 steps. Longer sequences use heuristics, and so are likely not optimal but aren't too bad.

Visualisation of recipes sequences as trees - honestly one of the biggest drivers for building this was just my own desire to see visually how elements could be traced back to the original 4, and hopefully some of you appreciate it as well
Collapsible tree sections - by default the entire tree is shown, but if you already have an element and want to ignore the part of the tree for that element, clicking the element collapses the child recipes, so you're only left with the parts of the tree you still need to build.

Okay, it all started 6 years when I first stumbled upon this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR1YcjfAddI then one of the Zero Hour episodes).
Notice in that MMD video there's High School Of The Dead and Terminator references/Easter eggs? That's what inspired me to start this mission making a Blender animation with this type of Easter egg(s). Vocaloid and anime characters - particularly my personal favourite cartoon and anime characters in place of the originals. This is all that was needed to set my dream of a parody video or Easter egg hunt involving my favorite fictional animated characters combined with existing media into motion.
But due to some power-happy mods/admins of certain websites who had no idea of this special mission of mine - as I was hiding it until it's complete (no spoilers), they had to act above and beyond and discipline me by either removing my posts regarding this question (E.G., "Where can I download this sound effect(s)?") or out-of-the-blue (perma)-banning me for "breaking the (site) rules"/"piracy efforts"!
Plus, it took me a whopping 8 years (as no keyword I used (at the time) yielded what I was expecting/requested for) just to determine/figure out it was Hollywood Edge, Hanna Barbera, Sound Ideas, etc., etc. that I had to refer to for the "common sound effects" we hear all the time in TV shows, movies, video games, and cartoons. This is a new realm of sound effects to me and now that I finally found it, I need a breather. But these mods/admins gave me anything but that.
Even the MMD community has rules to follow regarding downloading models others have "created" - those that were literally ripped from a video game. So to still respect the MMD model usage rules/be a law-biding citizen, I resorted to Blender as after watching a 3D remaster of Cars Community Service, I realized Blender is basically the entire package.
If you don't understand English, here's the simple version: I need help to streamline my 3D modelling process to obtain 3D models of things I’ll need for my Blender animation - with whatever strategy I can improvise. I need any readily available and already made 3D models for my Blender animation. I’m currently 28 years of age; I got this far in my life, but I’m not sure how much further I can go. But this is one case where I won’t accept “Too bad, so sad” that easily.
Whether it’s requesting for the thing for this game via the game dev team’s email by emailing them what you request for in the game and once they do make it for the game and upload it to their client and I update my copy of the game via patching, I then decompile the game from my end and presto. I obtain that game’s new model.
It’s faster to rip them from a game as they’re already made for that game.
Sadly, I have yet to find a high graphic Columbine High School in it’s original floor plan as a 3D model via any game. So I have to fall back to Plan B and make it via Blender. But that (learning to use Blender) takes time and I’m not that skilled at using Blender yet. So I have to seek help from someone who’s already an expert and fluent with using Blender or any other 3D modelling software to make it for me to streamline that process.
But some people have died earlier than anticipated like Terry Fox when he died of cancer at 22 and Wowaka when he died of heart failure at 31. So I’m not taking any chances and need to streamline the modelling process with any measure or strategy I can think up before I meet a similar early fate like they did.
Is that the way you want to go? To leave your fan base hanging in suspense for the rest of their lives while you head for your eternal place in the who-knows-where's? Every millisecond counts. - Especially for those who have a terminal illness and are literally living on borrowed time. Some of us must and will complete our goals no matter what obstacles we encountewhat gets in our way in any way possible. You really never know when your time is up. Age has no relation to when is the day you die; it could happen on any day and we need to get our goal done with whatever strategy we can whip up/improvise. I'm still bummed Wowaka missed out on the Project VOLTAGE collaboration with Miku.
Wouldn't you feel bummed if your family member or friend or relative died too soon if you were this close to letting them see something you made? So via the game dev's email and requests forum, I request for the said model, but make sure it's somehow related to the game's gameplay or storyline.
This is the strategy: get a game dev company to make the models for me, but via for the video game. That way, once it's released to the public, I work my magic from there and decompile the game for the said 3D model. Thanks to Payday 2 and it's Bundle Modder and Diesel Tool programs, it dramatically cuts down the amount of time I need to remodel the stuff I need for my Blender movie from scratch.
Plus, I can't just think about myself, I gotta think about others too. So I thought "What if everyone would enjoy my weapons and stuff in the said video game?" But since I don't work for the game dev company, I might as well write to them my request list of things to implement into the game via their email. Now that I submitted my ideas for their games, all I have to do is wait til they make it now while I finish up some unfinished personal matters on my end.
Columbine High School is going to play an important role in my Class of 1999 (starring Bradley Gregg) parody movie. But so many people are reluctant to help me due to this school building.
And also, you can’t imagine the heartache I endured while trying to seek assistance in searching for sound effects. They treated me like I’m some felon trying to “pirate” sound effects. So after 3 months of wasted time on my sound effects search quest, the least I can do right now is make up for that wasted time.
Finally, this is the whole reason Alvin Earthworm discontinued Super Mario Bros Z: "Us: HURRY UP WITH THE NEXT EPISODE ALREADY!", his project was merely intended to be a hobby. So to avoid comments like that, I'm going to finish my animations FIRST, then upload them later. So you can see what happens at the end before you pass away early.
So yes, is there anything wrong with thinking/planning ahead of YOURSELF as well as thinking about others before you do the same (stupid) thing they did? I even did my due diligence and stumbled upon things like this: Run Hide Fight (Isabel May). They clearly did their planning, due diligence, and studies before publishing this movie. So therefore, as long as I follow the same procedure, I should be able to publish my Blender vocaloid parody video while offending as little to no people in the process. I'm going to make a Class of 1999 (Bradley Gregg) parody video that involves several of the Zero Hour episodes mixed together as Easter eggs along with my favorite characters and things taking place of the original characters and props - while in the process, making a few changes to the story line.

Hi, I used to play RS around 2010. Back that time I was young, and some friend gave me an account because I was too noob to set up an email (lol). It was a basic account that he had played around 2 hours. So he just passed the nickname login and password. Never knew the email it was logged in. But I alwasy played withou problem. This week I downloaded the mobile version and logged in with this nick and password. I was in the tutorial island. Anyone knows why this happened? All levels were reset, but what I found more curious is that my friend list kept the same. I still have all the friends in the list.

Robotmon - How to Autosend with an Android

Most of the information I will be using is taken from the official robotmon developer’s website. You can use your browser’s translator to help translate the site.
Hardware:
Robotmon uses a script service to help match a player's touch commands on an android device. Robotmon's developer site has a list that includes all android and tablets that can use the Robotmon scripts.
For this service to work, you need a device that can open the Disney Line Tsum Tsum Application. Android OS 5.1.1 and below can no longer use the application. Android OS 12 through 14 have a security update that can make it difficult for robotmon to be able to run its scripts properly.
Androids 7 through 11 appear to be the best options when working with Robotmon. I personally use Samsung Galaxy A20 which had Android OS 11 as its final update in 2023.
This was my primary phone in 2018. I have now repurposed it to play mobile games on a rooted device. It is unnecessary to root your Android, because of a managing tool called simple service manager.
Rooting your device is beneficial because of robotmon launcher (root) which is available for the Android devices that can use it. This would allow for you to start robotmon without the use of a computer. I sadly could not get it to work on my android and have opted to use simple service manager through pc connection.
I will be going into greater detail on the different options in the guide.
How to install Robotmon:
Download Applications:

On your android device start by finding robotmon in your play store.
(Optional) If you are on a rooted device you can attempt to use Robotmon Launcher (root):
At this point you can also find the Disney Line tsum tsum application:
This is all you need from the play store.
Now to fix the settings on your android.

Android Settings:

Make sure you have developers options unlocked on your android device.
Settings: About the device > Software information > Find Build Number > Click 7 times > Developer mode enabled appears
To unlock developer options start by opening your settings on your device. Usually seen as a gear.
Go to the about device/phone option.
Then find software information.
From here, you will see the build number. Press build number several times until developer options have been unlocked.
Settings>Developer Options>Enable Usb Debugging
1. Going back to the settings menu, you will now see developer options on the bottom. Turn on usb debugging to be able to allow simple service manager to alter your android device.
2. You can turn off auto update from the developer options.
Settings>Privacy>Permissions manager>Storage> Enable Robotmon and Launcher
1. While you are still in your settings, allow permissions to be given to Robotmon and Launcher (root). Go to the privacy option, and find permissions. Storage will be an option. Here you will find robotmon and launcher (root), both must be allowed to have all permissions.
Alternative route: Settings>Accessibility>Installed Services/Applications>Enable Robotmon.
1. Another route is to go through the accessibility option in your settings. Allow robotmon to have special access. This will allow robotmon to be able to cast itself onto other applications and record. Robotmon does have a record feature that it uses to take screenshots of a players within your mailbox for heart tracking. I will go over that in another post.
Lastly: Settings>Apps>Restricted>Disable Robotmon and Launcher (root)
You can lastly go to the app option within your settings and select restricted. Make sure Robotmon and the launcher remain unrestricted and unchecked.
The next steps will now include a personal computer that you will need access to every time your android auto-sending device turns off or restarts.

Computer downloads:

On your computer find the drivers for the android device you are using.
The drivers installation should be given on your android brand’s official site.
Next you will need to download the simple service manager from GitHub. From my understanding this program has support for Linux, Mac and Microsoft Windows. If using windows, you only have the download: simple-manager-v1-5-2-windows-32.exe

Once you have downloaded and installed the drivers and simple service manager; you are ready to connect your android device to your pc via usb cord.
Your phone will ask permission for your pc to have access to android files. You must allow all access. You might get an option to transfer files to which you can click cancel.
You can have the robotmon application already open on your android. Service off in red should appear at the top of the screen.
This next step can be confusing without visual representation, you can follow Robotmon's developer site to see the images I am referring to.
With your device connected to your computer, you can now open the simple service manager. The simple service manager will open your default browser. You can press update in the middle of the screen to update the equipment list.
You should be able to scroll down to see your device has been detected. You will now only have to press start. The simple service manager will open a window that will communicate with your device.
1. If you are watching your android with the Robotmon application open. You will then see the service go from red off to a green on.
2. Success!…hopefully

Robotmon Application:

Robotmon>Script Store>Disney Tsum Tsum (com.r2studios.Tsumbeta ver65)>Download.
1. In the Robotmon app, get the Tsum Tsum script from the script store. I’m using the one named “Disney Tsum Tsum Update v65”. Old v52 is outdated, but will function. Version 65 has been patched to have many quality of life settings including opening select boxes and capsules.
Go back to the download tab in Robotmon. Tap Disney tsum tsum to the Robotmon script manager to appear in the top left corner of your screen
You can now tap the Robotmon face.
1. You have the option to press play/pause
2. To turn on the script reader
3. To configure your settings
4. And to close the service
I like to have the script reader enabled which is placed to the right of the play button.
1. This allows us to see when an error occurs and what type of error it can be.
Next configure your settings by pressing on the gear
I will have a link to imgur with my recommended settings.
Once you are done picking the Robotmon settings. You can close the settings menu by tapping the gear again. Close the Robotmon app and now open the Disney Line Tsum Tsum Application.
If you are on a rooted device a pop up will appear.
1. You must PERMIT for the Disney line application to be able to see the other files on your device. The application will not allow you to play without permitting.
Log into through your line account or any preferred method.
Then start the game.
With Robotmon on the top right corner you can press the play button and see it work.
If at this point an error occurs and nothing happens, I will have a list of common troubleshoot methods listed.

Hello I downloaded app called process informer that is something like task manager that shows running processes and apps better with more details. I noticed process called csrss.exe which is legit windows file in system folder. Why is it listed as uknown process id 1468 when its supposed to be system file. Is that normal? Thank you!

2024.05.18 21:03 REM5004 I need help with package files

I’ve modded and gotten cc before on my previous pc and this is the first time I’ve tried on my current pc (had it for a while but didn’t feel like getting sims yet) and I just downloaded it last night and no matter what I do I can’t download package files? Like they don’t download as a file and I’m just confused af, has this happened to anyone and is there a solution???
I’ve deleted and reinstalled the game, steam, ea, and I even used another browser but I’m guessing it my pc thats the problem (I use Microsoft edge and also tried out opera browser) I just wanted cc and drama 🥲
I also tried downloading the basemental universal venue list and that won’t download since it’s a package file, the cc I want are package files idk about others, and just to see if it would work wicked whims was able to be downloaded and worked. It seems it’s just a problem with package files and I’m so confused and can’t find any solutions no matter what I do or search 😭😭😭

Hi. I have a gaming laptop with the following specs - RTX 3060 6GB, Ryzen 6800h, 16 GB RAM (DDR5).
I understand that these are mid-range specs. I'm looking for modlists that I can run well and without stuttering. I had downloaded Nordic Souls a couple months back and it ran well, but I never finished it. Should I download it again? There is also Lost Legacy but I'm not sure how well it would run.
If there there are other good lists that I can run with these specs, please let me know. Good combat is always a plus.
