I'm looking forward to master a new The Sprawl session and that for the first time in Foundry.
The PbtA-System is great start and I'm managing everything else I need so far.
What I'm still missing is a module which let me display certain texts permanently.
For comparison the module Global Progress Clocks let me display the action/corporate/threat clocks and their state permanently for all players. Is is irrelevant at which scene they are, their always in sync and at display on top.
Every mission has defined directives (like submissions), where the groups gets Exp if they fulfill them. Some are there from the start, other are hidden and must be discovered. But every known directive should be always visible and known to the players. So I would love it, if they were constantly visible like the Global Progress Clocks and it would be perfect if I could toogle them visible/invisible and fullfilled/on going/failed. I don't want that in some journal, as the players should notice when things change without me telling them explicit and so they should see them permanently. A journal or something may be closed or minimized.
I googled for a while and searched the subreddit but didn't found anything in this regard.
Before some suggest that the display will maybe overpacked: That shouldn't be a problem. I know that the players have big monitors and the scenes are only flair-like. So it isn't chaotic or the need of place for dragging tokens etc.

This union or merging of Mary and Christ into a hermaphrodite like Baphomet represent twin souls becoming one and the accomplishment of the Philosopher’s Stone. The Philosopher’s Stone represents the alchemical process of inner transformation, leading to the ultimate goal of Divine Union. Divine Union refers to a spiritual state of unity and connection with the divine or higher consciousness. In essence, it refers to the coming together of twin souls, similar to how Christ merges with Mary or how Osiris merges with Isis. According to Manly Palmer Hall, in his book ‘Initiates of the Flame’, the “marriage of the Sun and Moon” represents the accomplishment of the Philosopher’s Stone. For the ancient Egyptians, the Moon represented Isis and the Sun represented Osiris and their union created Horus who was the fusion of both his parents and a divine hermaphrodite. In his book ‘Gods Wear Spandex’, Chris Knowles says: “The Chemical Wedding referred to the work of the alchemists, who sought to marry the masculine and feminine properties of creation and produce the Royal Hermaphrodite, which some historians have linked to Harpocrates (Younger Horus)”. In the ancient mysteries, the ultimate aim of the philosophers was not to transform lead chemically into gold, but transform man and woman into the divine hermaphrodite, merging the opposites; the male and the female. This is ultimately what Baphomet represents. It represents the idea that true spiritual enlightenment and wholeness come from embracing and integrating both the masculine and feminine aspects of creation. This union of opposites is seen as a path to spiritual balance and ultimate transcendence. This integration of the male and female is also represented by Rebis, which is a 15th-century figure used to symbolize the Magnum Opus or Great Work.
The connections between Christ and Baphomet are not widely recognized or agreed upon, but esoteric interpretations have been proposed. For example, in his book ‘Baphomet of Éliphas Lévi’, Abraxas Aletheia argues that Baphomet is an esoteric symbol of Christ, saying: “Contrary to popular belief, Baphomet is an image of an esoteric Jesus Christ created from a composite of alchemical, Kabbalistic and Christian symbols”. One such connection symbolically between Baphomet and Christ can be found in Baphomet’s caducous which matches the Christogram which is a monogram or combination of letters that forms an abbreviation for Christ’s name. One of Baphomet’s most recognizable symbols is the pentagram emblazoned on its forehead. The pentagram is commonly associated with Christ. In Christian tradition, the pentagram is seen as a symbolic connection to the five wounds of Christ. In certain esoteric traditions, the pentagram has been linked to the planet Venus, called the Morning Star or the Evening Star, depending on its appearance in the sky. This is of relevance, because Christ describes himself as the bright Morning Star in the Book of Revelation (22:16). One of the earliest connections between Baphomet and Christ can be found in the mythology surrounding the Knights Templar, a medieval Christian military order. Some have suggested that the Baphomet head that the Knights Templars venerated was the head of Christ. Am I missing something, or is the process for downloading a mdel really just fucking awful. Every time I want to download any model I have to

1. click the download button for the model.
   
2. Click on the cover image
   
3. right click and save the cover image
   
4. close the cover image
   
5. highlight and copy the trigger words
   
6. create a text file
   
7. paste the trigger words in the text file and save
   
8. rename the text file to the same name as the model
   
9. rename the image to the same name as the mdel
   
10. and fucking finally install the 3 files to the correct directory
    

am I doing this wrong? Is there a much simpler way. I've tried civit AI helper and it kinda works, but fails on most models and requires that I cut and paste the web address of every model. I had a grease-monkey script that did it in a single click, but a site update broke it. This is a fucking terrible user experience. Mdels should be downloaded as packages containing all necessary data.

I (15M) have a gf (14F) who I have been going out with a year or so. A couple months back, I was supposed to meet up with her after her tennis match at my school, but when I managed to get there she was inconsolable and wasn’t able to talk to me.
She wasn’t there for long, as she had to go back soon but once I got my phone back, she had texted me about what had happened. Basically, she had been bullied by my ex gf (14F) who had made fun of her for being my gf, called her names like slag etc. I managed to get the name of another person who had also done it, but she quickly apologised to me and my gf, claiming she had been “spurred on” by my ex.
After a day or two I manage to meet up with the ex gf and basically tell her to apologise. I’m still livid that she has done what she has at this point and I talk to her in a demanding and dismissive tone but I make sure that I don’t shout. I tell her if she doesn’t say sorry, we will have the talk again, but she stays adamant that she only pointed to her to tell her friends how “pretty she is” (she has a history of calling my gf names and playing victim when it comes back) rather than admit what she did was wrong.
I had expected this and so I had evidence from the other girl that had called my gf names, a mate of mine who was there and finally another mate’s gf who lives in the same boarding house as my ex. This was all the proof I needed to be sure she had done what she had, and once I told her this she said she would apologise.
However, the issue cropped up again today when I was talking to one of my friends (15F). She said I acted like a dick to my ex because she “didn’t do anything.” Obviously I was pretty shocked by this, and we had a pretty big argument about it, but her constant source of proof was “I know ex didn’t do it” “ex told me the truth” etc. It ended up with her saying that I didn’t do anything good in that situation and just made my ex cry without helping my gf. My argument was that I just wanted an apology and reassurance that an issue like this wouldn’t happen again to my gf, but apparently I’m being selfish for caring about my inner circle of people I care about and just putting my problems on other people, so AITA?

This is an incredibly long story, so I apologize in advance, but I strongly appreciate any advice.
I (18F) met a boy (17M) at a competition a few months ago. We both ended up winning first place for our respective category, qualifying us for Nationals. I figured he was really sweet, so after the ceremony I ran up to him and asked for his Instagram, to which he said yes. We message back and forth casually until Nationals, nothing serious although he did seem a bit forward at times. I'm frankly a very delusional person, so my friends and I would joke about how I should figure out a strategy to bag him during the few short days we had the competition.
Because I have previous bad experiences with romance and boys in general, and I also have a complicated relationship with how racism is tied into the dating market (I'm Black, and he is Korean-White) so I was pretty apprehensive going into this whole ordeal. I figured that I would show up to the comp, and he'd just ignore me or something. I'm walking through the hotel with my friend and I hadn't realized I passed by him. All I heard was a, "Hi, [my name]!" really loudly from behind me. Turned around, it was him, so a little surprised, I said hi back and moved on. He ended up catching up to me, and we had a mildly flirtatious conversation catching up on each other's lives.
For two days after that, we were inseparable, practically attached at the hip. We had so many conversations, both casual and very serious/deep. I didn't feel fully comfortable with him until we went into my hotel room alone and he didn't try anything, no inappropriate touching or language, and all around incredibly respectful. I began to feel very safe around him. He would carry my things, hold my extra plates of food, be generally very touchy and intimate, we played games and joked together a lot, etc. He was also so intelligent and interesting in general, and would always look for ways for us to be alone or at least separated from everyone else.
On the afternoon of the second day, he suddenly switched up on me. Mind you, at this point, he follows me on all my Instagram accounts, has my number, etc and isn't being dry at all over text but a total a-hole in person. That night, I called him and he told me he wouldn't hang out with me the next day, without giving any real reason, and shut me out. I confront him, asking him what's wrong and why he's upset with me, and he gets extremely defensive and loud, swearing that nothing's wrong and everything is fine and that he's not mad at me. Had his homeboy confront him too and ask him what's up between us, and he denies everything. He is still being horrible the rest of the comp, and ends up leaving without saying goodbye.
I tried to text him and he was super dry. I confront him again and gently ask him to talk to me and tell me what's wrong and he initially apologizes for being mean but then denies ever being mean in the first place. He leaves me on seen for several days, to which I text him one last time, the gist of which was "I have feelings for you, I need you to communicate with me." He completely ignored the confession and instead basically told me to stop asking him to communicate since there's nothing to communicate about.
Frankly, I really like this guy. He made me feel seen and beautiful, even though I didn't really get into details. He hasn't blocked me or unfollowed me. He still views all my stories but hasn't done anything. Not sure what happened, but I don't know what to do. Do I wait for him? Do I move on?
TLDR: Met a boy who made my life feel like a dream only for him to switch up on me very quickly. I confessed my feelings and he ignored it. What do I do?

I’ve always been very concerned about the way i look and tend to compare myself to others a lot. To give you an idea i’m black tall and not skinny and apparently don’t have the best facial features according to boys in my school. My main goal in like has always been to be the prettiest or be pretty in general and get a good body. I’ve been trying to lose weight since i was like 7 but keep putting it back on.
I feel like something’s wouldn’t be this way if i didn’t look how i looked.I feel like every bad thing people have to say about me wouldn’t be said i was very pretty like some of the girls in my school. For example. I’m in a friend group of 3. the 2 other white girls are conventionally attractive,get male attention and are just treated human by guys. But apart from the fact they are considered more attractive than i. i feel like the pretty friend is favored more in the friend group unlike me. I don’t know why i feel like that but it’s an itch that i can’t scratch that i’m right. If i was pretty like my friends they probably would take my personality more light heartedly and would d ride me a lot. i would be seen to have a fun sacarstic outgoing personality instead of being seen as a rude weird humor person.
Another thing is that i feel like my friends see me as lower than them. this might just be internalized and i’m just projecting my insecurities. For example my friends texted me saying that a guy in class said i’m “bad af” and really pretty and asked for my snap. i did not believe them at first because the way they typed wasn’t believable. but i ended up believeing and getting false hope that someone had actually found me attractive until i figure out it was my friend texting me on the fake snap account they made to prank me. I know it was probably just a silly joke that meant nothing but the fact that they decided to do it to me and be like “see ur a baddie” “you pull” “someone actually wants you” “don’t miss out on your chance” etc like getting male attention is a once in a lifetime chance for me.
The thing is i really don’t believe i’m that ugly. i actually didn’t feel that bad about myself this school year because i had looked a lot worse last school year and had focused on glowing up for awhile but it just feels like everything i do to be considered even average goes unnoticed. Maybe it’s because i go to a pwi school and i’m tall and a little overweight doesn’t help but it really makes me feel like their is something wrong with me.
Another thing that happens was when my friend texted me saying “ur cooked” basically meaning i’m done for and something bad has happened. I asked her what happened and she said i guy in class was talking to his guy friends about girls he found cute and he said a name that sounded similar to mine and the guys teased him and made fun of him for it saying ewww no way you like her. i couldnt even care less about that as those boys a below average who don’t have proper hygiene but the fact my friend said i’m cooked because guys were making fun of me doesn’t sit right with me . i’ve literally based most on my life off looking better just to be treated like the ugliest person to walrk on the earth. it makes me feel like all my work to be attractive has gone to waste

To those who don’t look much, all lists appear the same. It’s a group of some items and some special symbols to mark each. Others, who work with checklists regularly, might see that there are some differences, but not that many. But when you start digging, it’s easy to notice that you can’t still share this relaxed look. You can’t even give the universal checklist to write any other checklist because they and their circumstances are too different.
Investigating lists and checklists variations looks like an adventurous topic. They usually don’t lie on the ground below the trees, and to find more about them, you need to ask people. This blog post is the result of the first such asking and a consequent discussion. I hope that there will be more “So Real List” in the future.
On Reddit recently, I asked a question in the productivity community about how people use checklists. In response, one of the Reddit users gracefully shared with me the approach to do the day planning. The approach is based on using lists combined with the functionalities of the Scrivener application. This blog is more about lists than applications, so I will focus on their mechanics. We’ll go through the steps of this approach, and you’ll see its beauty. I, the author of the blog, don’t know a lot about the life of the one who responded to me, so the contents of the day will be completely imaginary. However, I hope to keep the essence of the day planning process.
Early in the morning, when the first bold golden and orange rays of sun touch the ground, the Scrivener application is opened. It’s an application for writers built around the texts and their structure. One of these texts contains the triple-sided heart of the planning system: list of routines, list of projects, and action list.
List of routines contains regular actions: daily, weekly, monthly ones. They are split into work and personal. Something like the following list.

• Daily
  • Work
    • Avoid reading emails or messages before 10:00 am.
    • Ensure the planned activities correspond to project priorities.
    • Invest one hour doing high-priority activities.
  • Personal
    • Spray the flowers:
• Weekly
  • Work
    • Combine the results of the working week.
    • Reflect on the weekly results.
  • Personal
    • Water the flowers:
    • Replace the towels.
• Monthly
  • Work
    • Overview the monthly results of the team.
  • Personal
    • Plan and do a day-long bicycle trip:

Something is quite straightforward, like “Replace the towels”. This is called a task. Something is more complex, like “Spray flowers”. There are 3 nested subtasks for it. The name for complex task in this system is task package.
List of projects is about the goals that don’t repeat regularly but are still important.
List of projects:

• Update refrigerator:
  • Watch a YouTube video about the best general use refrigerators for this year.
  • Choose the most attractive one.
  • Read the reviews on it outside YouTube.
  • Schedule the delivery date.
  • Buy the new refrigerator.
• Update the documentation of the onboarding processes.
  • Discover the current documentation:
    • Look at the public electronic materials.
    • Ask for the brochures HRs pass to the newcomers.
  • Plan the documentation update.

Now it’s time to think of this very day with the actions list. The process is to overview two other lists and combine from its tasks or task packages the list for today. There are no subtasks, as the action list should be clear and concise. For the details of the task packages, please refer to either the routines list or the projects list.
Let’s imagine that today is… some arbitrary day. We seek the relevant items in the list of routines. Then we investigate the list of projects. Priorities are visible, and here is the action list for today:
Action list:

• Avoid reading emails or messages before 10:00 am.
• Ensure the planned activities correspond to project priorities.
• Invest one hour doing high-priority activities.
• Spray flowers.
• Overview the monthly results of the team.
• Discover the current documentation.

You know, this is as beautiful as mathematical operations on sets. The only difference is that the real productivity system contains not 10 routines and 2 projects, but much more.

My boyfriend of six years ended things with me a week ago, and it turns out he had been thinking about this for a long time.
What led to this moment is that he heard me moan two men's names while I was sleeping. One of the names I moaned belonged to a guy I have told my friends was attractive. However, when this incident occurred, I was only thinking about one of the guys that I worked with (whom I did not find attractive). Since this was addressed at 3 am, I really wasn’t thinking about anything. I felt like I was being interrogated. Then he asked if I was lying, and if I was, he should break up with me. I said yes because I wasn't thinking of anything. Well, he found a text from me saying this guy was attractive to my friends. He says after that night, nothing was the same for us, and he can’t look at me the same.
I can admit there were times when I lied because I was scared of his reaction or just wanted to please him. I also admit I had a past fling still lingering around my phone for a long time, but I fixed that. He says I never cared about his feelings, and personally, I did, however, maybe I did not. This was my first true relationship and my first love.
I never felt pain like this before.

I will appreciate any thoughts or info related to this: I just got a weird Whats App message that gave me concern about a possible Rocket Money data leak. I also don't readily see a way to reach a real person at Rocket Money though I'll try tomorrow (Monday)
Briefly - I recently signed on to Rocket Money and provided them with asked-for links to many of my financial accounts.
Today, at the exact same time as I got a regular text from my friend Jon, I got a Whats App message [I almost never use Whats App] addressed to "John" from a phone number in Indonesia, saying "John, your account has been opened," -- a username and password are provided in the message. The thing that spooked me the most was, the Net Worth (for the non-existent "John") stated on this Whats App message was very very close to the net worth that now shows on my Rocket Money account.
(I am a woman and my name is not John.)
(Notes: the Jon I was texting with is not at all connected to me financially or in any other way that could permit a leak. Just a friend, he wouldn't even know where I might have an account. )

For some context, I 20 m and my ex girlfriend, 20 f have broken up because of wht she said to my best friend, 19 m .
Now, for my story it's important to know that my best friend, who we'll just call Jessie is gay. He also loves dressing in feminine clothing, like dresses, skits, crop tops etc. He also loves make-up, I had recently got him some stuff from rem beauty and he absolutely freaked out about it when he saw what was in the box, he literally leaped across to me and gave me a huge bear hug. Jessie is extremely beautiful. I must admit he is often mistaken for a woman ALOT because of this.
At the time I had been with my girlfriend and I honestly thought they were getting along as that is what it had seemed like anytime we hung out together. Or so I thought. Just a couple of months months ago was my birthday and this year I wanted something really simple yet special and memorable so I just had a dinner with my mom, dad, twin sister, ex, and best friend at the cheesecake factory, since it's my favorite restaurant there was where I opened presents and jessie had gifted me a ps5 along with some of my favorite games as well. I was ecstatic I hugged him tightly, lifted him up and spun around with I'm all while yelling out a bunch of 'thank yous'. In the corner of my eye, I saw my ex girlfriend get VERY UPSET I asked her what was wrong after I had calmed down and she told me that she was upset because Jessie had “one upped” her with his gift I told her I loved her gift which was tickets to see my favorite artist wave 2 earth she seemed to calm down a bit. That was until Jessie tried to stir up a conversation with her.
She snapped and started calling him a bunch of names like “a dirty little fag” and a bunch of other hurtful stuff she then took her drink and poured it all over him. It was very un expected. Jessie started crying and ran out of the restaurant and I followed behind him. It took a little while to find him but I did find him. I asked him. What was wrong, he told me that ever since we and gotten together she ha been threatening to hurt him I was shocked by this honestly. I asked. my girlfriend and she confirmed it, saying that “he was triggering my insecurity” which I don't know what that meant. she also said that he never did anything to her, but him being gay was “disgusting her“. I broke up with her right then and there. I know Jessie he's the type of person who is kind to you even if you had been mean your self. But now I don't know if I made the right decision because I'm getting multiple texts from her saying how she's depressed and wants to hurt herself AITAH. I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense but this is my first time sharing a story here so yeah you advice is much appreciated. Thank you. 🩷

Long time lurker. First time poster anywhere. I have worked at 2 Dairy Queen locations, I worked from 16-17 at one, and then from 18 I worked at another until I left for college, and then would come back each summer and it worked well. My boss was flexible with my hours and it helped with stress of summer expenses. The problem began 2 years ago when he brought his niece in and she brought a friend. They were both working 50 hours a week while the rest of us had 20 hours or less a week. This is when I noticed the store going downhill.
We are a treat only store, and I started to notice a lot of issues. There was mold in the cheese, there was an ant infestation, there were so many fruit flies that I think I had some in my lungs, there was a pipe blocked so nasty water would spill onto the floor, there would be one girl taking off her shoes, sleeping on the job, and always on her phone. I didn’t necessarily want to go back but it’s the summer before my last year and it’s a short summer due to summer classes. My boss last summer before I left for college pulled me to the side and told me he knew I was upset about the lack of hours, and if I let him know more than a month in advance if I was coming back my employment position would be secure and I would have a minimum of 20 hours per week
March 7th I tell him when I plan to be back in town and if I could work over the summer and have when I was leaving as well. He said ok, my start date was planned and I thought everything was good. My old coworker that still works there was filling me in before I came back because the niece was gone but her friend was still there and the friend brought her sister in. My old worker (we will call her Patty (not real name)) had asked my boss if I was gonna come back. He confirmed yes. Cut to April 29th, right before finals and I’m supposed to start May 9th. Patty recommends me to text him and confirm my start because he brought in 2 more girls to work as well, one being an old coworker that hadn’t worked in 3 years and her sister. Patty confirmed I was starting May 9th, and she confirmed that with the boss on April 26th. I asked April 28th to confirm my start date. That’s when he told me that he is good with staffing and doesn’t need anyone else. I will admit I acted in anger and sent him a long 2 part text message pretty much saying how he was going back on his word and how it is unfair to me and it was unprofessional.
I did manage to get a job for the 2 months I am here thanks to my lovely bosses near my college who helped me so much (I love them so much 🫶) but because it was so last minute I don’t get many hours. It was just so much stress I did not need right before and throughout finals. At least I never have to go back though.

I bought a ticket for ST Massey Hall for May 27th. I was given contact info of the seller to arrange a time. I know the concert is a week away but I wanted to just send a message to open communication ahead of time. The issue is the phone number I was given isn't working. My text isn't sending and it feels like a fake number. Also the Seller name was "Auto Processor." Also, what if the seller doesn't meet me at the venue? Any positive experiences?
Edit: The area code of the phone number I was given is from Mexico. Wtf. Did I get scammed ?

I have recently started learning Django Rest Framework, and hit a little roadblock trying to understand the data flow in DRF.
From what I understand, views take in a web request and return a web response, so they are the first component in the DRF data flow right? (after urls).
Then what's the second step? Views generally refer to a serializer, so does that mean our serializer gets executed next. If so, why doesn't our model get executed instead, because serializers are used to convert data such as model instances so doesn't it mean our serializers depend on models and should be executed after models.
I have this question after going through the DRF docs tutorial part-4.
I also have one more question after going through the tutorial.
CONTEXT: In the tutorial we are creating code snippets and now we want to associate users with the snippets they created.
We follow the steps below in the following order to achieve this:
1 Add the following two fields to the Snippet model in models.py.

owner = models.ForeignKey('auth.User', related_name='snippets', on_delete=models.CASCADE) 

2 Adding endpoints for our User models
Now that we've got some users to work with, we'd better add representations of those users to our API. Creating a new serializer is easy. In serializers.py add:

One of my main question is in the following step-3.
The docs say that " the user isn't sent as part of the serialized representation, but is instead a property of the incoming request."
How exactly is the user already a part of the incoming request? Aren't we the ones who want to add users to associate snippets with their creators?
Also, I would like to know how to check the properties of an incoming request?
3 Associating Snippets with Users
Right now, if we created a code snippet, there'd be no way of associating the user that created the snippet, with the snippet instance. The user isn't sent as part of the serialized representation, but is instead a property of the incoming request.
The way we deal with that is by overriding a .perform_create() method on our snippet views, that allows us to modify how the instance save is managed, and handle any information that is implicit in the incoming request or requested URL.
On the SnippetList view class, add the following method:

def perform_create(self, serializer): serializer.save(owner=self.request.user) 

4 Updating our Serializer
Now that snippets are associated with the user that created them, let's update our SnippetSerializer to reflect that.
Add the following field to the serializer definition in serializers.py:

owner = serializers.ReadOnlyField(source='owner.username') 

Now, my main question is, how do these steps help in adding the user to our snippets? How exactly does the data flow here?

The Scam: Fell prey to a scam yesterday at St Alex Church, Curtorim when this dude approached me after mass and said he's a brother from the seminary and asked me about myself and mentioned he knew a few priests from where I stay. Then he asked me if I could transfer him ₹1500 which I did (ik I shouldn't have done that) and he'd transfer it back as soon as he reached back. He scooted away as soon as I transferred the money and I did not get a chance to get his phone number.
The realisation: Couple of hours after I sent him the money, I texted him on PhonePe asking him for his phone number and to repay the money. To which then he asked for another 1k( it was at this point that I realised it's a scam). I said I cannot transfer any more money and immediately he blocked me on PhonePe.
What I know: While he was leaving I noted down his bike's registration number and the owner's name matched the UPI name. With the help of a friend, I managed to find out his address in Aldona.
What should be my course of action? I don't wanna go and file a complaint as that would take too much of time and effort for just ₹1500 but I also wanna make sure he scams no one else.

To preface me and my boyfriend are long distance and I have a lot of relationship anxiety that I’ve managed to heal from and cope with.
He was playing videogames while we were on call and he said someones gamertag who I didn’t realize (we’ll call them Nicky) so out of curiosity I asked who it was, he said one of the homies we play with. I said oh is it a guy or a girl (I always ask this, not to be controlling but it helps ease my relationship anxiety when I’m familiar with his new friends). he said was ‘Nicky is a dude he’s just a guy me, gamer and gamer play with’. I left it at that and heard a girls voice on his other call while he was talking to Nicky, so I said ‘ is X in the party, tell her I said hi’ (sheis another girl he plays with that I’m friends with as well, we’ll just call her X ). He said ‘no it’s all guys in the party’.
A few minutes later I was just doing my own thing (he usually mutes himself when I’m busy doing something but he forgot) and I heard him talking to the other people in the party about Nicky, reffering to her as ‘her’ and ‘she’, and teasing her (sure enough when he’d address her the same girl voice would come through his headphones).
He was engaged in the game and I tried getting his attention to ask to talk when he had a minute but he didn’t hear me, and it was upsetting me listening to the convo so I hung up and texted him that I’m hurt that he’s being dishonest, and asking why he didn’t tell the truth about Nicky when I asked.
He responded by bringing up X, he said that “I know two people named X one is a guy one is not”. I said I’m not talking about X im talking about Nicky, and he said he misheard and thought I was talking about the male X (this totally confused me and makes no sense to me still) but I told him he said word for word Nicky is a dude so how is that mishearing me, and regardless he said it was all guys on that call.
He kept avoiding it in that way so I called him and he was SO defensive!! He kept saying ‘there was stuff going on in my ear and I couldn’t hear you I thought you were asking about if X was a guy’. Which made no sense because I didn’t even ask about X until AFTER he had already said Nicky is a dude, and AFTER he said it’s all guys in the party.
He kept saying over and over ‘fine then just leave it at that I lied if that’s what you think’ and I just told him I couldn’t talk about this anymore and I hung up and went to bed.
He would say ‘I don’t know what you want me to say seems like you have your mind made up’ and the truth is I have no idea what I wanted him to say and part of me is starting to believe that maybe it was a misunderstanding, but then I’m wondering how it could be.I don’t know why he would lie about it and my relationship anxiety that I’ve worked so hard to cope with is coming back because of this.
Just to add, this is something I’m anxious about because this isn’t the first time he’s done this. This is how I met X, he lied about her being a girl several times. At first he (again) said he just misunderstood me but eventually claimed it was because he didn’t want to trigger my relationship anxiety but I explained to him that it makes it much worse and we agreed he wouldn’t do it again. She’s wonderful and once I got to know her I realized she was never a threat or anything, and she’s in a relationship herself.
Anyways I don’t know what to think, I can’t tell if I overreacted and if it actually is a misunderstanding or if he might just be hiding something. I don’t know what I want to get out of a conversation with him because he clearly isn’t willing to admit he was dishonest.
