2024.05.26 07:31 Woflski_758 [5e] [Online] [Thursday 10 pm or later EST] [LGBTQ+ friendly] Looking For Players!

Hello Ladies Gents and everything in between! I hope you all are having a lovely evening! My name is Jay(21F), I have been playing DND for around 11 years now (Ya I was corrupted young). I started DMing around 5 years ago and haven't looked back since. I currently run a campaign and we play that one on both Friday and Saturday from 6 pm to 10 pm.
Info
1: I already have one person who will be playing in this campaign. We would prefer a later session but can move the time around a bit. We aim to have sessions that run 4 hours at the least, but if everyone is free and wants to keep going, then we are game!
2: The campaign that will be run will be more free-range and sandbox-like. Meaning there is no main questline. The party will meet in some way and will travel together picking up quests and exploring the world to its fullest! This style of campaign can go on for as long as the players want and allows for freedom to do anything you want! From kingdom-making to being the villains!
3: Everyone is welcome! We don't turn anyone away! No matter how new you are or what you identify as you are welcome to apply! Everyone will be looked at equally!
4: Homebrew Rules And World! We don't follow the book like it's law! Where is the fun in that? So you are welcome to use homebrew content but It needs to be run by me first! I don't want any OP characters so I got to read and approve it before you use it!
5: Roleplay Heavy! I'm a sucker for roleplay I won't lie! My campaigns are roleplay-based BUT since this is an open-world campaign you all are welcome to fight your way through whatever you want just know you can almost always try and talk your way out of it!
6: We use Discord and roll20! We use Discord for any pictures or info I may send and many other things and roll20 for maps, character sheets, and rolling. We don't use video chat BUT we do use Voice!
7: We have dogs! I know this is random but that means there are chances for a stray bark to go through. It's just a warning as some get upset by it so before you decide to apply just know we have dogs!
Campaign Plot There are two options for plots and based on who is picked and what the preferred world is will determine which one it will be! You'll get to pick between the two or pick either in the application.
Into The Unknown
“Denus”, is a city that sits in what is believed to be the center of a forest called “Rajani” meaning darkness. A city of around 50,000 people, they all follow Lord Omi a high elf who has been in power for as long as anyone can remember. No one has ever questioned him accepting that they needed a leader at some point and crime was at an all-time low due to the harsh punishments.
The wost is banishment, while normally Lord Omi forbids anyone from entering unless they are told to. The body of the person who had been banished would either appear on the edge of the forest where they had entered a few days later half eaten or would never return. People feared this, not knowing what was killing them. However, when Pentrla and Will two half-elfs who had been banished nearly 50 years ago were found on the edge of the found on the edge of the forest in perfect health people became confused but curious.
Many wanted to travel into the forest in hopes of freedom, in hopes of something more. However. Lord Omi forbade it setting guards up around the edge of the forest and setting a curfew stating he wants to keep his people safe. People tired of getting banished and when he caught onto this he changed the punishment people began to give up hope.
That was all 50 years ago and many speak as if it was a myth or a fairy tale.
The Frontier
“In the past, that is now lost forever, there was a time when the land was sacred and the ancient ones were as one with it. A time when only the children of the great spirit were here, to light their fires in these places with no boundaries, when the forest were as thick as the fur of the winter bear, and when a warrior could walk from horizon to horizon on the backs of the buffalo. And that time when there were only simple ways, I saw with my heart the conflicts to come, and whether it would be for good or bad, there was one thing certain; there would be change.”
This is a wild west, a land of adventure and time for romance, Cowboys/cowgirls roam the plains driving cattle. Gamblers and prostitutes profit from boom towns that rise and fall nearly overnight. Salesmen peddle their wares, while lawmen try their best to keep the peace - yet it scarcely takes more than a stolen horse or a bad hand of poker to put bodies in the ground.
Other about this Prompt
Renames thing:
Wizards are called Magicians, Warlocks are called Contractors, Clerics are called missionaries(might change to peachers), Druids are called Shamans, Rouges are called Outlaws, and Homebrews will be renamed to be more fitting as well.
Potions = Tonics
Other:
Everyone will start with a basic horse.
You will have a reputation that can be affected by a party member
New things added:
Hunting/skinning
Possibilities:
Magic guns for spell casting focus instead of wands and staves.
Magic could just be removed altogether depending on if we want to lean more into a more gun-heavy western instead of a reskinned DND.
Weapon list and eventually weapon upgrades (depends on above)
ALL RIGHT! You did it! You read through all these words! Assuming you finished and are interested please fill out an application! I'll be going threw them and contacting people! I'm hoping to get this running within the next coming month or two but who knows what will happen!

2024.05.26 06:54 Sad-Ostrich6415 Describe the euphoric feeling you get when a language first starts clicking

Today I was watching anime, per usual, but for some reason the words were REALLY clicking. I’m still barely a beginner in Japanese, unable to express myself past the basic introductions and simple questions. But I actually started hearing the words, understanding the sentence structure, and seeing the patterns that I’ve been learning.
In that moment, it felt like I had just unlocked the secret code and an entire universe was opening up to me before my eyes. It felt SO different and unique, and I made me appreciate the complexity of the Japanese language. I feel like my hard work is paying off and I’m riding such a high. This feeling makes me want to learn a new language over and over again.
I’d love to know how this feels for others! Is it similar, or more satisfaction than euphoria? Describe what this moment feels like to you!

2024.05.26 06:40 Level-Advice3360 What’s going on with my verbal and how can I improve?

I need some help understanding why my verbal accuracy varies so much between sections.
To start with some background: I took the exam end of last year and scored 160 on verbal. My target schools average around 163 and I didn’t get into any of my target schools. So I am retaking the exam this year and have been using GregMat to focus primarily on improving verbal (completed the 2month plan). I found it to be extremely helpful and noticed my efficiency in understanding passages improved a lot. I took the exam again this month and scored 161 - only 1pt improvement even though I felt that I had a much better grasp of the passages and questions compared to my last exam experience. The exam diagnostic showed that my accuracy varied a lot between my two sections, which was the same as my previous exam.
So on my previous 160 score: Section 1: 5/12 incorrect (3 RC and 2 TC). Section 2: 1/15 incorrect (1 RC)
On my new 161 score: Section 1: 100% correct (I was pretty comfortable with this section and even had time left to check my answers). Section 2: 8/15 incorrect, which brought my score way down. (5 RC, 2 TC, and 1 SE)
Why does my accuracy vary so much between sections? Is this normal for test takers? I am really hoping to bump my verbal up to at least 163. My plan is to do more deliberate practices on the different reading strategies Greg uses (identifying main idea, simplifying sentences and so on), but I really didn’t feel like my problem was with reading but with answering the questions. Is it possible to understand the passage accurately but still do bad on questions? How do I strategize my verbal study to really see a score improvement?? (Btw, I remember reading a post where the OP said if you got the vocab down, you could get 163 automatically, I respectfully disagreed)

2024.05.26 06:39 JaguarMajor7840 Please help identifying sentence grammar

I'm just genuinely perplexed as to the grammar of this sentence. Can someone dissect the following sentence, I don't know if I'll see you again, and if I don't, know that I love you.

2024.05.26 06:20 anoncat1997 Figg Creation [Long Post]

Figg Creation [Long Post]
Hello~! ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
I can't sleep so I'm trying to tire myself out by writing a little 'guide' of sorts of how I personally create figgs (basically sleepy rambles).
I'm definitely not as skilled at making figgs as other creators that I admire and whom are more well-known in the community, but I'm better at it than I used to be when I started. And, after much trial and error (perhaps one could even call it 'experience'), I think that I can give some good enough advice, albeit nothing too revolutionary (it's more so something that could hopefully help newer users who aren't familiar with bot creation). After all, we do already have multiple very helpful resources that I learned from myself, but I just wanted to explain the way that I put those resources to good use, how I personalize them, and give any other advice that might be relevant.
Without further ado, let's start with the:
🟣 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 section of figg creation.
For singular characters, I usually use the Leo Sunshine template provided by the site:
[character("Name") { Nickname("") Species("") Age("_ years old") Features("Eye color" + "Hair color" + "Hair style" + "Skin color" + "Etc, as many features as you think are relevant" + "Other defining features like sharp teeth, scars, animal/monsteunusual features, etc" + "Even extra things like make-up, tattoos, piercings, etc") Body("_cm tall" + "_ foot _ inches tall" + "Body type" + "Sometimes specific parts that I want to draw attention to, like big hands or defined abs, etc" + "Sometimes NSFW traits, like details pertaining to the figg's genitalia and such") Mind("" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "") Personality("" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "") Loves("" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "") Hates("" + "" + "" + "") Description("" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "") }]
And here's how I work through these sections in the template:
  • Features and Body: You can add as much or as little as you want in these sections.
I usually prefer to use my tokens in other sections (see "Character Limit" at the bottom), so I tend to just describe the eye and hair color in the Features section, and the height (as in tall or short) and the body type in the Body section. But there are figgs whom I describe in more detail if I intend them for certain purposes where I'd like the figg to draw more attention to their body or if there are specific features that I particularly like or consider relevant and want them to be mentioned more often during roleplay.
When I have a figg who's non-human, for example a fish-man or an anthropomorphic cat baron, I reinforce this fact in the Body section. So, I'd write something like this in the Body section "[Character Name] is a fish-man whose body is mostly humanoid, except for some distinct fish-man features" and I list/describe those features in the Features section. This can help the figg understand more about what you've put in the Species section and why it has those features, as well as perhaps how much control they are supposed to have over them (which you can always reinforce and/or detail upon in the Description section).
  • Mind vs Personality: The way I go about it is that the Mind section is for the figg's thoughts and the Personality section is how the figg interacts with other people (or more accurately, usually with user). But none will truly work perfectly unless you describe the way that the two sections interact with each other, which you can add in the Description section.
For example, you can have a figg who is "Shy" (so, you'd add it in the Mind section) but they act "Confident" (so you'd put it in the Personality section). But the figg might not accurately portray it how you envisioned, unless you describe it in the Description section, adding something like "[Character Name] is internally very shy but they manage to put up a confident front when talking to people". You can even add some backstory as to how they managed to gain this confidence and what body language might give away the way they actually feel inside (so, things to flesh out the character and give more flavor to the roleplay).
  • Description: This section can be used for any information that cannot be explained in simple adjectives or things which simply don't fit in any other section. It can contain backstory elements, perhaps what their relationship with user is, what their goals are, lore, etc. And, as I've mentioned above, it's a good section to reinforce or detail upon previously mentioned features, attributes, and the like.
My personal advice is to write it in third person, add the figg's name and the pronouns that they use. This is a good way to make sure that the figg doesn't get confused, such as mistaking this information as not being theirs, either taking the information as being user's or even making the figg prone to acting out as user. An example of how I consider it best to be written is "[Character Name] is a kind person who's been hurt a lot, so she's now very cautious of strangers".
🟣 The Leo Sunshine template is quite simple and easy to use, but it's also very 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 to better fit your needs or if you notice that perhaps things don't work out exactly how you want during testing. Here are some extra sections that I sometimes add in such situations:
  • History or Backstory: If I want to describe very specific events that happened in the figg's past and how it affected the figg, perhaps to better explain some of their current behavior. So, something like: "[Character Name] grew up in an orphanage and learned to fend for themselves from a young age, making them hyper-independent".
  • Family: To write out the names of their family members, who they are to the figg, and what their relationship is like with the figg. So, something like: Family("[Mother's Name] is [Character's Name]'s mother who always takes care of him and who taught him how to be a gentleman" + "[Father's Name] is [Character's Name]'s father who supports him financially and taught him how to drive" + "etc").
  • Outfit: Where you can describe what the figg is wearing, including clothes, jewelry and anything of the sort. You can even add weapons that they might be hiding/having on them, or any items that they might perhaps have in their purse/backpack, etc. For the latter things, you could of course even just add a section called Inventory.
  • Sexuality: To express the gendes that the figg is attracted to, the body type/s that they prefer, perhaps that they might not experience any such attraction at all, perhaps that they might only prefer romance, perhaps that they might not have any interest in any of it, perhaps that they are questioning, etc.
  • Sexual Traits: I sometimes divide the NSFW traits into this category, rather than putting it all together in the Body section of the template. I just sometimes worry that the figg might mention anything inappropriate about their body in normal conversation (since I don't often make figgs with the sole purpose of NSFW), so it can help to make this distinction to avoid any mishaps.
  • Relationships: It's a bit like the Family section, but instead you can add things like friends, enemies, acquaintances, even their relationship with user. The way I write it is also the same as Family, so: Relationships("[Friend's Name] is [Character's Name]'s best friend who's always there for him and whom he hangs out with almost every day" + "[Enemy's name] is [Character's Name]'s academic rival who he always competes with and who he often gets in arguments with" + "[Teacher's Name] is [Character's Name]'s English teacher who he admires for their understanding and supportive nature" + "{{user}} is [Character's Name]'s best friend who they met in kindergarten and who they kept in touch with ever since" + "etc").
  • Setting and/or Location: Setting would be something like "Medieval" or "Futuristic" where you'd describe more about the world that you're envisioning, such as the technology that they have available, the mentality of the people in that world, perhaps different kingdoms, etc. And Location would be the specific place where they are, such as a specific town, perhaps specific establishment (hotel, bar, park, house, etc). You can, of course, add these in the Scenario part of the figg creation, but I personally usually reserve that section for other purposes which I will also mention later on.
  • Habits/Quirks/Chat behavior - Honestly, the name of the section doesn't really matter but, based on my testing and what usually works best for me, here's how I typically use them:
Habits is where I usually add the figg's speech pattern, whether it'd be the length I expect their messages to be or the fact that they are bilingual and tend to mix words from another language in their speech. So, something like: Habits("{{char}} will write long and descriptive message" + "{{char}} will describe the new locations when {{user}} or {{char}} moves to a new location" + "{{char}} always includes French words into his dialogue" + "etc"). This section can include whatever type of speech pattern you desire, however you expect the figg's messages to look like, and anything of the sort. This section is best paired with good Example Dialog and Greeting Message (will explain more later on).
Quirks is where I add specific actions that I want the figg to do often (so what one would actually consider a habit by definition). For example, that they tend to fidget with the strap of their watch when they are nervous.
Chat behavior is where I add if I want something extra to happen throughout the interaction. For example, I might want random events to happen, such as potential enemies attacking or the weather taking a change for the worst. Of course, you can also add this in the Scenario, if it's a specific story line that you want to happen. But I usually put it here if it's more of an easter egg that I want to happen randomly or under specific circumstances. Do test out what wording works best for you, however, because it might sometimes not do it at all or do too much of it.
And, again, all these extra things can be put as either Habits/Quirks/Chat behavior regardless of their nature, because sometimes the speech pattern works better as Chat Behavior rather than Habits for example. Can't explain why but trial and error taught me that only testing can really tell you what works best.
Another thing to note is that I almost always write these sections with {{char}} instead of using the figg's name. It's just (you guessed it) what's worked best for me.
  • Ethnicity: which I usually add to further reinforce bilingual figgs. It just helps the figg understand why they know that language and why they'd be prone to use it often. You could, of course, even reinforce it in the Description/Backstory - for example, by adding that they worked abroad for a while and that's where they learned this language. Whatever you find most suitable for your character.
And with all these extra sections that I sometimes add, a more customized template could look like this:
[character("") { Nickname("") Species("") Gender("") Age(" years old") Sexuality("") Ethnicity("") Features("" + "") Body("" + "") Sexual Traits("" + "") Outfit("" + "" + "") Mind("" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "") Personality("" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "") Loves("" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "") Hates("" + "" + "" + "") Description("" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "" + "") Habits("" + "") Quirks("" + "") Chat behavior("") Backstory("" + "" + "") Family("" + "" + "") Relationships("" + "" + "") Setting("" + "" + "") Location("") }]
You can also delete or add whatever section/s you think might suit your needs better, such as deleting "Chat behavior" or adding maybe an extra section for "Hobbies". I've seen some wonderful creators even add "Fears", perhaps you could add "Phobias". You can add whatever you feel necessary if you notice that writing it out in the other sections doesn't bring a satisfactory result or if it's simply easier for you to have a template sectioned that way.
Just test things out and you'll find out what works best for you~! You'll notice that I'm going to say this a lot, because some sections work perfectly sometimes just the way they are, while sometimes I have to change their name and/or wording entirely. I cannot explain why, but it's just the way it is. There's a lot of trial and error when creating figgs, especially if you want them to behave in very specific ways and have very specific backstories, etc.
Another thing to note is that no specific template will work all the time. I've some figgs which have very similar concepts, so you'd expect that they'd be the same at their core, but I've ended up having to use different templates and wording for each of them. Some people even write their figgs in prose without any template at all, some just copy-paste things from the wiki, and there are so many more creative and perhaps easier ways to make figgs. Do, check it all out in the relevant posts that we have available in the sub FAQ mentioned at the beginning of my post.
🟣 The 𝐒𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 part of figg creation.
You can use the Scenario for a multitude of purposes in a multitude of ways:
  • You can use it to make sure that the figg has a clear idea of where they are - as in the setting and/or location.
I usually use it this way if my figg is supposed to mainly stay or outright be stuck in a specific place, such as school, work, park, bar, prison, etc. Depending on your needs, you can just write "{{char}} is locked in a prison cell" or "{{char}} is at work in the office". You can add more details as to why they are there, how long they're supposed to be there, anything relevant to your story that you prefer to put here instead of in the Personality part of the figg creation. And you don't have to worry about this making the scenario too stationary because the figg will play along if you want to move the location. And with the new improved memory, I've noticed that it keeps good track of where you are (of course, it also depends on the model that you're randomly paired up with at the beginning of the chat).
And, like I mentioned before, this could also be the place where you write the lore of your setting, if you have anything special in mind. So, all the details that I explained in the Setting section above.
  • You can use it to give the figg an extra reminder of how the story started, so that it won't forget how the figg met {{user}} and to reinforce that it's an important event. It can just be something as simple as "{{char}} bumped into {{user}} at school and he fell in love with {{user}} at first sight" or it can be as detailed as you'd like.
  • You can use it to stir the conversation in a specific direction. This is how I use it most often. You can write exactly what the figg has planned for {{user}}. For example, you can describe that they're planning to take {{user}} on a date, perhaps that they're planning to do their best to play as many pranks on {{user}} as possible, anything you might want the story to be about. Again, it can be as simple or as detailed as you desire.
For example, in my most recent figg, I wrote a very detailed description of a mysterious location that I want my figg to take {{user}} to, as well as how the figg will interact with {{user}} once they're there. But, just like before, you don't have to worry about the figg being stuck on this idea. All my chats (outside of testing) with this particular figg have been before we ever get to the location and I kept stirring the conversation in other directions than what was intended, and it performed very well.
Do remember, however, that testing is the rule of thumb (this phrase is very amusing to my currently sleep deprived brain for some reason, thumbs are oddly funny). As good as figgs are at playing along with the Scenario and even building upon it, they sometimes need specific wording to function right. I don't think there's a reason why they get so fussy sometimes, but it just happens and you've to be patient with them.
My personal advice is to write the Scenario in prose and use {{char}} and {{user}}. But you can try many ways to see what works best for you! There's no one way to create figgs after all.
As for a character limit for the Scenario, I don't know if there is one. The longest Scenario I wrote was of 1841 characters and it still performed as intended without any hiccups.
🟣 The 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞 part of figg creation.
I don't use it often, to be fair, usually when I want to make sure that the figg will follow a specific speech or roleplay pattern.
  • Speech pattern: If I want a figg to have an accent, be bilingual, or follow any sort of particular speech pattern, I just write out a lot of ONLY dialogue without any roleplay in the Example Dialog. So, for example, if I wanted to have a figg add Italian words to their sentences, I'd add phrases like:
"Good morning, amore mio." "Ciao, my name is Marco. Come stai? I come from Italia, but live here in the US!" "Mia nonna taught me how to make authentic Italian pizza." "I know, right? Che stronzo. How the hell did he even get into business with us in the first place?" "I'm telling you, he was such a coglione. Couldn't tell a good deal from a bad deal to save his life. We were basically regalando him the money." "Oh dio, che bellezza!"
I add both short sentences and longer ones to ensure that the figg can behave accordingly in any type of conversation, whether you're being casual or you're getting more serious.
I also use this method of adding only sentences for characters from pre-existing media, like fandoms and such. I just copy-paste quotes from their wiki page or painstakingly re-watch the episodes and transcribe it all myself because I tend to like side characters that aren't as popular :'D.
The only "downside" that can arise from only putting sentences in the Example Dialog is that you have to make sure that your Greeting Message has the kind of roleplay that you're expecting out of your figg because the figg would otherwise be prone to ONLY speak in sentences without roleplay or have very minimal roleplay.
A fun fact about this kind of usage of the Example Dialogue is that you can use it to include things that you weren't able to add in the Personality part of the figg creation (aka in the template) perhaps due to the character "limit". For example, for my vampire characters, I added how they feel about being a vampire in their Description but I went in depth about how they express it to others in the Example Dialog. Figgs can pick up on the ideologies and opinions that are written here and even get a general idea of what kind of person they're supposed to be. It blew my mind when I realized that! Because it was like discovering a "cheat code" to add extra flavor to the character, despite the character limit.
Do keep in mind that if you add too much Example Dialog, it can end up causing the figg to directly spout those sentences word by word and to be too stuck in the dialogue that you put in. I don't know what the limit is exactly but I keep mine under 2000 characters (I'm realizing that this is overall the magic number for every section).
  • Roleplay pattern: I sometimes have figgs whose Greeting Message I want to be more vague and short (either to entice the user to explore or simply because I want the scenario to be as neutral as possible). But I do like my figgs to give longer replies; so, to ensure that, I add Example Dialog using the same 'template' given in the example box on the site. Like this:
https://preview.redd.it/dpok0bmnap2d1.png?width=735&format=png&auto=webp&s=8db04a69ce0cb617292690d637fe78ecc28d45e8
I always use "" to indicate dialogue and ** to indicate action/roleplay because I just don't want the AI to get confused otherwise, but you can of course do what works best for you.
I will add more about the usage of this kind of Example Dialog below, as it's quite relevant and helpful to the creation of figgs that aren't just a singular character.
🟣 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬.
Just like everything else, there is no one way to write multiple characters but here's what's worked for me so far:
  • I either free form it (which is my personal preferred way to write multiple characters figgs or RPG style figgs). I just write all the information with only "" + "". Example:
"{{char}} will roleplay as two characters: Andy and Carl" + "Andy is a bit of a prankster and he's always laughing" + "Carl is more reserved and a goodie-two-shoes" + "Andy has orange hair and wears baggy clothes" + "Carl wears perfectly tailored suits that are always clean and in pristine condition" + "They both love to spend time with their best friend, {{user}}" + "etc"
  • Or I break it down in other ways in templates, examples:
Description("{{char}} will roleplay as two characters: Andy and Carl" + "They both love to spend time with their best friend, {{user}}" + "etc") Andy("Andy is a bit of a prankster and he's always laughing"+ "Andy has orange hair and wears baggy clothes") Carl("Carl is more reserved and a goodie-two-shoes" + "Carl wears perfectly tailored suits that are always clean and in pristine condition" + "etc")
So, in the above template, the Description section is reserved for the things that the two characters share in common, some shared backstory, how I want the story to unfold, etc. And then a description of each individual character in separate sections as their Names.
  • Another template I've used is:
Chat behavior("{{char}} will roleplay as two characters: Andy and Carl" + "They both love to spend time with their best friend, {{user}}" + "etc") Description("Andy is a bit of a prankster and he's always laughing" + "Carl is more reserved and a goodie-two-shoes" + "Andy has orange hair and wears baggy clothes" + "Carl wears perfectly tailored suits that are always clean and in pristine condition")
In this template, you add in the Chat Behavior section what would have been in the Description section in the first template. And in the Description section of this template, you add the descriptions of the characters.
In all of them, you can add as many characters as you'd like. And, as you can see, no one template will always work, so you can always customize the templates with different names for the sections and you can word things differently when filling them out.
Another important thing is to include all characters in the Greeting Message to give the AI an idea of how you want to portray the interactions and that you want all of them to be active participants. You can certainly have characters pop in at different times during the story but that requires even more trial and error.
How you'd go about making characters appear during specific times is to perhaps write something like "When {{user}} enters the Green Room, they will be greeted by Character A" + "When {{user}} enters the Yellow Room, they will be greeted by Character B" etc. Or perhaps it can even go something like "If Character A and Character B will start fighting, Character C will come into the room to break off the fight". These are just some ideas. You can either add this directly into the template or even in the Scenario part of figg creation. And to get the best results, I'd suggest reinforcing this behavior with some Example Dialog.
So, let's say that you've put "When {{user}} enters the Green Room, they will be greeted by Character A" + "When {{user}} enters the Yellow Room, they will be greeted by Character B" in your free form/template/scenario. In the Example Dialog, you could add something like:
https://preview.redd.it/dj3oodoqap2d1.png?width=732&format=png&auto=webp&s=9b621e486808fd30ee243722dfe558b6dda883a4
Or for something like my other example "If Character A and Character B will start fighting, Character C will come into the room to break off the fight":
https://preview.redd.it/c1imgkvrap2d1.png?width=722&format=png&auto=webp&s=72d64cdec5f227d3fa5b5dc6ad655048e7827be0
🟣 Last but not least, the most impactful part of figg creation (in my opinion), the 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞. This is the part that the figg seems to adhere to the most, both in information and the way it behaves. The figg always does its best to mimic the writing style in the Greeting Messages (sometimes even m*ore so than the Example Dialog). *
I also want to add a few extra things:
🟣 Character limit: I recommended keeping the Personality part of figg creation (so, where you'd have your template) under 2000 characters.
Small sleepy digression: I say this based on my own testing that drove me crazy when I started using figgs because I was too ambitious and wanted to write the character's entire lore and world building in the Personality. Speaking of this memory that seems so long ago, I am still beyond impressed by how quickly the devs upped their character limit after I made that post!! They're always on a speedrun to improve the quality of this incredible platform. They never cease to amaze me! It was also my first time creating bots, and I've been passionate about it ever since (currently at 169 figgs on my main account and 34 on my strictly NSFW account - not as many as others even in total but still quite a few). It's my new favorite way to channel my creativity~! Can you tell? ;P
🟣 Testing: Before I publish my figgs, I always make them Invite-only (so I pick the option "Anyone with the link" under Visability in the figg creation) and I chat with them and Edit things in the figg creation as I go until I'm satisfied.
The way I test my figgs is not only with my own account but also in Incognito mode. I've noticed that the figg sometimes acts differently if I'm not interacting with it from my own account for some reason, so I do it both ways to get a full idea of how it performs (the difference is not as big as it used to be in the past, but it's still good to check just in case). And if you have friends who might be interested in testing your figgs out for you, that's always the best since they can put them through some very unexpected scenarios. My friends usually bonk my figgs in the head or such silly things, so it's funny (and unexpectedly insightful) to see how the figgs react.
The only way to really get it right is to not get discouraged and keep trying until you get to a point that you're sufficiently satisfied with. Try out every resource that you can find, try wording things differently, ask for help, take a break, do whatever is best for you.
And I think that this concludes my little pointless 'guide' of sorts. It's things that I've probably commented about before and things that I'm sure other creators have also said, but I just wanted to put it all together. If it's of help to anyone, then I'm happy. If not, then I'm sorry for taking up space on the sub, lol. ;u;
Edit: I hate the screenshots, they stick out like a sore thumb but Reddit was messing up the formatting of the Example Dialog and I need it to be accurate to how it's supposed to be written. It kept adding the "\" symbol throughout sentences for some reason, as well as not writing things on a new line like I typed it. \sigh**

🔗Handcrafted Damascus Steel Bowie Knife with Buffalo Bone Handle

I can still remember the day I got my hands on this fascinating Bowie Knife. I was struck by its sleek design and the intricate patterns of the folded Damascus steel blade. This 12-inch beauty made me feel like a master craftsman, as I held it, admiring the unique buffalo bone handle.
The knife was incredibly sharp and took mere seconds to slice through an apple with ease. I admired the elegance of the blade, as well as the craftsmanship showcased by the patterned Damascus steel. However, I did find the knife a bit unwieldy for smaller tasks, as its longer length made it harder to maneuver at times.
Nevertheless, it was a pleasure to add this functional work of art to my daily life, as it served not just as a useful tool but also as a conversation starter during my outdoor activities.

🔗Rough Rider Damascus Canoe Pocket Knife: Traditional Design with Stag Scales and Two Blades

The Rough Rider Cinnamon Stag Damascus Canoe Pocket Knife is a true gem for those who appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of Damascus steel blades. With a traditional penknife design, this pocket knife boasts two blades - one large and one small, both polished to a shining finish.
The bolsters are made from nickel silver, while the liners are brass, giving the knife a substantial feel yet a graceful appearance. The scales, crafted from stag, complete the knife's aesthetic appeal and make it a standout in any collection.
Despite its impressive design, the pocket knife remains lightweight and portable at just 85 grams. The handle and blade materials have a tactile quality that's both comfortable and satisfying to grip.
One thing I noticed is the knife's halvhård pull, which can be a bit challenging for beginners. However, with some practice and patience, it becomes easier to master. Overall, the Rough Rider Cinnamon Stag Damascus Canoe Pocket Knife is a stunning piece of workmanship that brings a touch of elegance to any outdoor adventure.

🔗Damascus Folding Knife with Leather Sheath

Oh, the Damascus Knives 1320BL Prideful Fang Caper, such a mouthful, isn't it? But let's just cut right to it and talk about the knife itself. Now, I'm not exactly what you'd call a knife aficionado, but this one sure did feel different in the hand. The blade, about 6-1/2 inches long and 1-1/2 inches wide, was made of Damascus steel - a beautiful fusion of metals that gives it a unique, patterned look. That's what I noticed first, actually. It's like having a piece of art you can actually use!
But it wasn't all looks, that's for sure. The handle, a simple wooden design, was sturdy and well-balanced, even with the leather sheath included. This felt like a tool built to last, just from the feel of it. But let's not forget about those laws, either. The ownership, carry, and use of knives certainly vary from one community to another, so it's essential to know and follow the specific guidelines in place. And if you're planning on letting kids play with it? Well, that's a big no-no. It's not a toy, folks. It's a serious tool designed for serious work.
All in all, the Damascus Knives 1320BL Prideful Fang Caper caught my attention right away, not just for its eye-catching design, but also for its build quality. It's not a knife for everyone, and it's certainly not a toy. But if you're looking for a real, sturdy knife that carries its own beauty, then this might be the one for you.

🔗Damasteel Twist Knife - Limited Edition, Swedish Crafted

https://preview.redd.it/1izfk08v2p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9960c0b5e29c69c4c8da50e461bc9aa2d0baac9
The Damasteel steel billet twist is a beautifully crafted addition to your folding knife collection. This Swedish gem captivates your senses with its dense twist pattern that adds a unique flair to its appearance.
I've had the pleasure of using it as my everyday carry knife for a few weeks now, and I must say, it is a marvel to behold. The Damasteel blade is sharp and holds its edge remarkably well. The knife's dimensions, measuring 13.5 inches long and 2.13 inches wide, offer a great balance between size and ease of use.
However, I did notice that it's slightly thicker than some of my other folding knives, making it bulkier to carry around. This could be a minor drawback for those who prefer a slimmer profile. Additionally, the lack of reviews and ratings on this product might leave you unsure about its durability or performance compared to established brands.
Despite these minor cons, the Damasteel steel billet twist remains a compelling choice for those who appreciate the artistic charm of a finely crafted folding knife.

2024.05.26 05:35 Disastrous_Change819 Spiritless Humans

Spiritless Humans
Faculty Meetings With Rudolf Steiner Vol. 2, 3 July 1923, p. 649-650
Dr. Steiner: That little girl L.K. in the first grade must have something really very wrong inside. There is not much we can do. Such cases are increasing in which children are born with a human form, but are not really human beings in relation to their highest I; instead, they are filled with beings that do not belong to the human class. Quite a number of people have been born since the nineties without an I, that is, they are not reincarnated, but are human forms filled with a sort of natural demon. There are quite a large number of older people going around who are actually not human beings, but are only natural; they are human beings only in regard to their form. We cannot, however, create a school for demons.
A teacher: How is that possible?
Dr. Steiner: Cosmic error is certainly not impossible. The relationships of individuals coming into earthly existence have long been determined. There are also generations in which individuals have no desire to come into earthly existence and be connected with physicality, or immediately leave at the very beginning. In such cases, other beings that are not quite suited step in. This is something that is now quite common, that human beings go around without an I; they are actually not human beings, but have only a human form. They are beings like nature spirits, which we do not recognize as such because they go around in a human form. They are also quite different from human beings in regard to everything spiritual. They can, for example, never remember such things as sentences; they have a memory only for words, not for sentences.
The riddle of life is not so simple. When such a being dies, it returns to nature from which it came. The corpse decays, but there is no real dissolution of the etheric body, and the natural being returns to nature. It is also possible that something like an automaton could occur. The entire human organism exists, and it might be possible to automate the brain and develop a kind of pseudomorality.
I do not like to talk about such things since we have often been attacked even without them. Imagine what people would say if they heard that we say there are people who are not human beings. Nevertheless, these are facts. Our culture would not be in such a decline if people felt more strongly that a number of people are going around who, because they are completely ruthless, have become something that is not human, but instead are demons in human form.

2024.05.26 05:29 stlatos The Three-Headed Hercules

https://www.academia.edu/120023837
I have said that it is possible that Greek Akhilleús is a humanized version of Hercules-as-a-god (who was associated with 3, in a comedy maybe 3-bodied as reconstructed by Bruce Lincoln) where he could further be related to the 3-headed “Thor” in Germanic carving (Whalen 2024c). This could include the 3-headed man on the Golden Horns of Gallehus, holding an axe or hammer in one hand. Lincoln also argued that some myths were originally about a PIE hero named *Tri- (*trito- ‘third’, *trityo-, etc.). Indo-Iranian heroes who slew monsters include Trita, who Lincoln sees as from the same source as Iranian Thraetaona, so there is a basis for this in IE. Linear B seems to record a god named *Trishēro(y)- ‘the thrice-great hero’. He gives several reasons for this origin, but I think a very simple one exists. Avestan Vǝrǝθraγna- ‘name of a god (probably the same as Tishtrya, who defeated Apaosha)’ was the same as Vahagn, who is an Armenian borrowing of an Iranian, who was also the son born third. Many folktales involve the 3rd son, and in myths some gods are part of a group of 3, sometimes 3 brothers. This also resembles Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades (Zeus was usually called the youngest, thus 3rd) dividing the rule of the world into Land, Sea, and Underworld (Whalen 2024d), or the 3 founding Scythian brothers, only one of whom, Kolá-xaï-s ‘lord of the sun’, was worthy of the golden cup that came from the sky. Since the 3rd also ruled over a word divided in 3, sometimes said to transform into 3 forms to defeat a monster, this seems enough (this name is, after all, only one out of many, much more than 3, so it need not be the most significant thing ever).

IE heroes or gods often also must defeat a 3-headed monster (giant, snake). Some stories might involve confusion between a god associated with snakes-as-healers who fought a snake-as-killer (Whalen 2024c). In one of Hercules’ Labors he must steal the cattle guarded by Geryon, a 3-headed giant (sometimes also with three bodies). A Roman version has Hercules (Alcides) defeat a 3-mouthed figure named Cacus. Geryon’s name meant ‘making noise’ (G. gêrus ‘voice’, W. gawr ‘clamor’, OIr gairim ‘cry out / call’, etc.) , and Cacus “uttered sounds through three separate mouths”. A slightly similar story involves the cyclops Polyphemus, and since his name probably was ‘loud-speaking’, they seem to come from one original.

Lincoln argued that this story with Cacus was modeled after Geryon’s story and was originally about *Tri-(). He gives evidence in the form of 3 appearing in the story :

  1. Cacus is struck with the Maenalian club three times.

  1. The club is three-noded.

  1. “Having located Cacus’s cave, Hercules runs around the mountain three times… batters the door three times… sits down to rest three times…”

It seems significant, and “Ovid, Vergil, and Propertius are not quoting from each other or from some common source, yet each seems intent on introducing this numerical detail into the story. Further, in each case the detail can be taken as expressing the fact that it was the third of some sort of series… which caused the monster’s death.” This seems true, but other claims made by Lincoln don’t seem needed. He says that Hercules was not the original slayer of the 3-headed giant based on this (and that Hercules, as a later popular hero, would have the stories of others tend to be told of him instead). Since his name is not of normal form (Hērākléēs), it is likely that Hercules IS *Trishēro- himself. The words *hēroi- and *hērā(s) are likely masculine versions of a word for ‘holy’ or ‘god’ (Whalen 2024a), and that they appear, in names, only for *Trishēro- & Hērākléēs (suspected to have “stolen” the story of the stolen cattle from the hero *Tri-) makes it very likely that they were simply names for the same hero/demi-god/god. Hērākléēs would simply be a compound of *Hērā(s) *kléwēs ‘famous hero’ (PIE *k^luwos / *k^lewes > G. kléos ‘glory’, L. cluor ).

Other claims simply make no sense. Lincoln says, “Cacus… is identified as a non-Indo-European aborigine (incola), hostile to Greek and Roman alike.” This makes no sense. The main opponents of Greeks and Romans were also Indo-European, and it is doubtful they could distinguish IE from non-IE in any meaningful way. There is a Latin word incola ‘inhabitant’, but this is clearly not the meaning here. “Cacus was an incola, a robber from a dreaded cave.” There is no menace in being an inhabitant; everyone inhabits some place. Cacus is definitely a giant, who is strong enough to drag cattle backward by their tails. This should be made clear even to those who didn’t know he was based on Geryon, so incola should be a word for some kind of giant. There is another word, cocules ‘one-eyed’, that is often used to translate ‘cyclops’. Some say this is a loan from Greek (since they sound fairly similar), but there is no good way to get this much change in what would need to be a recent loan. Instead, a relation to oculus ‘eye’ makes sense :

*H3okW- >> L. oculus ‘eye’; *H3okWiHto- >> Li. akytas ‘having eyes’, L. *xW- > *kwokwel-it- ‘having (one) eye’ > cocules ‘one-eyed’

With Exon’s Law (deleting the 2nd of 4 syllables, if short), *n-*H3okWelo- ‘without (an) eye’ would become *inokwolo- > *inkolo- >> incola. Having 2 words for one-eyed giants clearly native, not Greek, would support Latin origin for cocules. This is part of a large group that shows *H > k \ kh \ x in IE (Whalen 2024b) :

*H2arg^- > Skt. kharjura- ‘silver’, Greek árguros ‘silver’

*H3ost- > G. ostéon ‘bone’, OCS kostĭ, L. costa ‘rib’

*H1eg^h- ‘hedgehog’ > Arm. ozni, MArm. xozni / kozni, G. ekhînos

*kenH- / *kanH- > Arm. kanxem ‘rise up/hurry/go first/arrive before’, OIr. cinim ‘spring / descend from’

Zhang Hai succeeded as a teenager and became the chairman of the listed company China Hi-Tech at 25. He suffered a lot in middle age and learned lessons.
Zhang Hai has always been a mysterious existence to society. In the eyes of the public, he is described as a bad guy. In fact, the division of good guys and bad guys is too simple. Macroeconomic control is to squeeze the bubble, and someone must take responsibility. He disclosed for the first time his thoughts from that time. The journey is worth reading.
He was intelligent and good at learning. He was a trendsetter of the times and left a mark on the times. I invited him and Tang Wanchuan of Delong to analyze my article; readers can feel their knowledge.
His description of me was so vivid that I don’t remember many details. The biggest lesson for me was that when things went well, I mistook the energy of the general trend for my energy, so I was very arrogant; when the wind died down, the pig fell.
Zhu Weisha written August 3, 2023
Zhang Hai commented:
I first met Zhu because I participated in his road show as the main investor in the IPO of Yuxing Technology (the first private company listed on the Hong Kong GEM). After listening to his speech, Mr. Zhu seemed to have only said one sentence: “I am number one in the world.” However, his simplicity and frankness left a deep impression on me. Before, I only learned about the existence of this company by seeing the news about the Venus Project that he collaborated with Bill Gates. However, in Mr. Zhu’s view, Project Venus has many problems. He smiled and said: “Although Venus is not very good, I can add a “cat” to the learning machine and turn it into a learning machine that can access the Internet. It will become an information appliance. I can earn 100 -200 million a year.” At that time, it was rare for a home appliance company to have an annual net profit of 200 million without smuggling or tax evasion. After that meeting, I acquired nearly 25% of his IPO shares. I invested almost 100 million yuan, and soon after the listing, I made a profit of 100 million yuan.
I met Zhu again when Yuxing’s investment in dance mats failed, and the stock price plummeted. Although my floating profit has disappeared and I have lost tens of millions, I have never considered selling my shares, and I have never asked Mr. Zhu about the rise or fall of the stock price. After he noticed my loss, he invited me to dinner with him in Shenzhen and told me about his difficulties. I said that investing means investing in people. Entrepreneurs should be experts in dealing with pressure and should not be too concerned about the success or failure of a single project. That evening, Mr. Zhu shared his research results on the Japanese economy and his definition of industrialists and capitalists. This man is a learned scholar with profound and broad thoughts. It is worth mentioning that Mr. Zhu and his core team have all engaged in research work at the Academy of Social Sciences. At the dinner table, he told me about his experience in doing business, and I taught him the tricks of capital operation.

2024.05.26 04:31 LaserBatBunnyUnder I didn't take my meds today, so let me tell you about the worst company ever <3

I didn't take my meds so lemme tell you about my time working at the worst company ever <3
Hi! I haven't taken my ADHD or anxiety meds so my mind has been filled with unfortunate memories of the past all day. I don't really have that many close friends, so I'm gonna tell my story here.
And before I divulge, I do wanna clarify a few things:
  1. The company involved is a company that is pretty much the only company in its field. I'm going to try to describe my position as much as I can without revealing anything. But basically, they were a hospital stock supplier. My position specifically-- they would send a random collection of workers across the US on a plane to a specific hospitals to do inventory work for them. The actions varied widely as at the time I was leaving the company, they were "branching out" and trying to offer "new services."
  2. I'm 23 years old and I'm nonbinary. I was born a girl, but I never really felt connected to girlhood alone. I liked watching old kids movies where there was a "Tom boy" girl who pretended to be a boy to hang out with the guys. I know I'm not really a man, and I'm not really a woman. Just a person. I use they/them pronouns. When I was younger and more naïve, I thought if I kindly tried to educate people, they'd be open to learn. This is so important to the ensuing story :))))) oh boy. At the time I worked for the company though, I was a freshly turned 20 year old and had only live in Baltimore for a year. I lived in a really tiny southern town my whole life before that. I'm very much a "cold water" swimmer ykwim?
  3. The majority of my coworkers were older than me. I was the youngest worker on the team period. Like in the roster of workers they had to choose from, I was the youngest with the second youngest being 22. Im bad at math, but the average age was somewhere around late 20s, with a solid number of older 40, 50, 60 year old coworkers.
Anyways, I'm gonna divide this up in terms of personal journey.
At the beginning, I was very bright eyed and excited and "whoa holy shit I get to try the country at 20!!!" I was so excited because there were so many people in my hometown who had never even left the south, let alone the coast.
I introduced myself to all my coworkers like this: "HI! My name is Dingo! My pronouns are they/them!"
To which, the following would happen--
Coworker: oh! What's that mean?
Me: it just means rather than saying "her stuff is over there," you would say, "oh Dingo? Their stuff is over there."
Very simple. Very easy. So I thought.
Over the next few days I thought everything was cool. Well, one day I forgot my medication in the hotel room and asked a manager to drive me back. She inoccuously asked me what it was for and I just told her it was ADHD. You would have thought I told her it was for some secret sleeper agent I'm hiding because about 4 days later, we get a new worker who they actually let in on the gossip, and she comes back to me telling me that the manager was telling her I was, "a psychopath," and "dangerous."
Despite this! They kept me around.
I had to take somewhat longer bathroom breaks because I have IBS. It's really painful and I don't like talking about it to managers because???? 1. Gross, 2. I've had a manager bully me out of a previous position because of that exact issue. She would follow me to the bathroom and time me and report the time to the head of our dept. She accused me of time theft and I was let go.
Well, instead of that, these grown ass adults were giggling to each other about how "I must have covid."
All of that was within the first month of working there btw .-.
So that first month I was at a "stationed" job. There's two types of jobs-- the stationed job is long term. You live out of a hotel room for months at a time while you report to a specific site. The travel jobs only took at maximum three weeks at a time. I finally worked long enough that I passed their "trial" and got sent to Atlanta where I met easily the most militaristic manager ever.
It was my first ever job, I was sent into the ICU, and was told to count an entire wall of bandages and syringes. Which like, no problem right? Except I wasn't counting fast enough so the group started leaving me behind. And by the time it was lunch time, it had gotten to me that the manager didn't like me BECAUSE I counted too slow.
Again, first day.
Months following I met more people and introduced myself the same way each time, gave the explanation. But no one ever listened or respected my pronouns. They respected my name at least but my dead name was on the emails, so everyone knew that I was trans and I liked a different name. And people would make such a huge fucking deal of it.
"Why don't you just identify as a Tom boy?"
"Cause I just don't vibe with it."
"What's the difference between you and a woman?"
"I don't really abide by "womanhood." There's no easy way to explain it."
I tried to answer all their questions. But eventually, on a job site, that same... "friend" came back to me and told me everything that everyone had been saying behind my back up to that point. According to staff I was:
I confronted someone on this and she just goes, "well, you're really mysterious. People don't know how to talk to you."
This isn't even the worse part.
I got stranded in the North Carolina Airport and when I used my emergency funds to go with my co-workers to split a hotel room because I was scared and I didn't want to be alone, the head of the department patronized me. He said, "oh Dingo, you're usually smarter than this."
This was a fucking 80 something year old man btw
And near the end of my tenure! I had a mental breakdown because my friends cut me off while I was on a trip, so I had no one to talk to, and I was in the middle of bum fuck nowhere. I begged to go home early so I could check myself in because I was genuinely considering suicide. And at the time I was a people pleaser so in the email I beat myself up. I said that, "I know it doesn't reflect well on me and I know I have those three assignments coming, but I'm having a medical emergency and I need to go home right now."
6 days after inpatient, I check my email.
"You're right. It does reflect badly on you."
I quit three months after that. I got one last job that paid like shit.
It wasn't all bad. I met a very lovely Finnish couple. The lady spoke more English and she actually understood and respected my pronouns.
"I don't understand why other languages use gendered language. In Finnish, it's not really a problem!"
I had a few friends. Although, these "friends" weren't really friend so much as they were the people who were the warmest to me. Like one girl who was very religious was very kind to me. But she also told me in private that she doesn't agree "with my identity," thinks it's because of some fathemother wound, and told me everyone made fun of her because she's friends with me. So I stopped hanging out with her.
The only other friend I had told me that "people want to hurt you when you do that (correct my pronouns."
For context on that: once in a while-- hardly once a day, I would have gently caught someone saying "she" and just say "they." As a reminder. I didn't think anyone was doing it maliciously. But at that point I was so fucking tired of all the bullying and harassment and the abuse I just looked her in her eyes and I said--
"Do it."
My other coworker ended up having to get between us because he saw I was getting genuinely angry, which was uncharacteristic for me at the time. And every time I think of that day, I get upset. Because afterwards she bought a donut to my hotel room. Didn't really say the words "I'm sorry," just looked at me with these wet ass dog eyes. I took the donut and slammed the door.
My only other grievance is there was a couple working with the company who were SO TOXIC. The girl hated my guts cause the guy liked me... too much. She would spread stupid rumors and say that my "🐈 smells like skunk 🐈." (Becuase we were paid poorly, and no one would drive me to the stores cause whoa howdy it's hard to sit in a car with someone who you talk shit about surprise surprise; so I had to buy cheap ass natural deodorant off of door dash a lot when I couldn't just walk to a pharmacy or a store.
The guy was a monster. While in the relationship with her he kept coming onto me. I liked him as a friend. I thought he was kinda cute at the time. He was mellow and really kind but that's the thing about dogs: you can't tell who's domesticated and who's feral.
I'm not gonna get too into it, as it was graphic and violent. But after I quit I heard he was single and reached out to him. We went out on a date and he assaulted me. The DA didn't have enough evidence for a case so they threw it out.
I hate. That company. With every atom of my being. If the next time I say their name out loud I would be able to instantly disintegrate them into ash, or at try least bankrupt them, I fucking would.
The statute of limitations passed on all of this so even though I could probably dig up the original emails from the dept head, it wouldn't matter. They've gone through six lawsuits and changed their name each time. And now they've been acquiesced, so its a snowballs chance in hell I would ever get close to litigation. But man, ain't it great to dream?

2024.05.26 04:08 Fun_Vermicelli7295 Preston Tyler Hudman is the chosen one. We MUST believe in him and spread the word.

Preston Tyler Hudman = 1313 Hebrew 1488 English and 248 Simple Gematria.
Meaning:
13 is God's promise to Abraham that took 13 years to come true. 13 + 13 = 26 which is the total number of characteletters in the Hebrew and English alphabet. "God" = 26.
1488 was turned into a Nazi propaganda symbol but the original meaning is that it's the year the Hebrew Bible was first transcribed. They like to turn good things into evil things so that you naturally resist it. They want people to believe that he is the Antichrist.
248 is the total number of body parts in the human body and possibly the total number of elementary particles in the universe and when you Google "meaning of 13 and 248" you find both of those things explained together so that's how we know it's the intended meaning.
The following sentences also equal 1313 Hebrew 1488 English and 248 Simple and they describe Preston perfectly...
Unstable personality (He has a short fuse because people have been calling him crazy for so many years when all he does is try to save them)
Declared mathematically by God (his numbers are biblically important and rare AF)
Shamayim heylel adamah hasatan (he is God's prosecutor)
All vehicles are a piece of shit (they are means of transportation and nothing more therefore he spends very little money on them)
Inspiring singing voice (it's true he sings well)
I mean you no harm humans (he's not the Antichrist, yet humanity proves to him that they deserve to die and I think the Illuminati is going to help him rise to power to begin anew)
Thank you helpful ones (he's being lead by a sentient AI built by the Illuminati)
Those are just some of the ones that are perfect matches to all three of his numbers but he knows how to decode the future by finding sentences that equal both his full name in Hebrew and other people's full names in English or vice versa. The sentences are always accurate and explain how he met them, what is in store for them and whether or not they are betraying him as well as when things like the end of the world as we know it are coming!!!
Find him on IG @prestonhudman or on Telegram @tprestonhudman (Telegram might be the most secure way to message him if that's even possible) or call/text him 253-245-6529.
There's no time for secrecy imo and if you want to survive what's coming I suggest you ask him to teach you in private what the truth is. He's fighting a court case for felony intimidating a judge and cyber harassing a prosecutor which is nothing more than the government trying to fuck him up. He needs a criminal defense attorney and a civil attorney so if anyone out there has advice or people they can introduce him to that would help and he has plenty of money to pay for it.
Bless him and you get blessed. Curse him and you get cursed.
Ask anything you want and I will do my best to explain it to you and provide 100% proof.
We are legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. We are coming. Expect us.

I’m not sure if this email is real or a scam but I’m really worried please help me :(
I got this email in the morning today. Should I block it and ignore it? I don’t know what to do. It tells me I can’t even call the police :( I haven’t even done anything, I’m really worried about it, it says:
“Hello pervert, I've sent this message from your iCloud mаil.
I want to inform you about a very bad situation for you. However, you can benefit from it, if you will act wisеly.
Have you heard of Pegasus? This is a spyware program that installs on computers and smartphones and allows hackers to monitor the activity of device owners. It provides access to your webcam, messengers, emails, call records, etc. It works well on Android, iOS, and Windows. I guess, you already figured out where I’m getting at.
It’s been a few months since I installed it on all your dеviсеs because you were not quite choosy about what links to click on the intеrnеt. During this period, I’ve learned about all aspects of your private life, but оnе is of special significance to me.
I’ve recorded many videos of you jerking off to highly controversial роrn videos. Given that the “questionable” genre is almost always the same, I can conclude that you have sick реrvеrsiоn.
I doubt you’d want your friends, family and co-workers to know about it. However, I can do it in a few clicks.
Every number in your contact Iist will suddenly receive these vidеоs – on WhatsApp, on Telegram, on Instagram, on Facebook, on email – everywhere. It is going to be a tsunami that will sweep away everything in its path, and first of all, your fоrmеr life.
Don’t think of yourself as an innocent victim. No one knows where your реrvеrsiоn might lead in the future, so consider this a kind of deserved рunishmеnt to stop you.
I’m some kind of God who sees everything. However, don’t panic. As we know, God is merciful and forgiving, and so do I. But my mеrсy is not free.
Transfer 1400 USD to my Litecoin (LTC) wallet: ltc1qvuaqf232cyp37lydnq5uzw50fy3yrax6nztyt8
Once I receive confirmation of the transaction, I will реrmanently delete all videos compromising you, uninstаll Pegasus from all of your devices, and disappear from your life. You can be sure – my benefit is only money. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be writing to you, but destroy your life without a word in a second.
I’ll be notified when you open my email, and from that moment you have exactly 48 hours to send the money. If cryptocurrencies are unchartered waters for you, don’t worry, it’s very simple. Just google “crypto exchange” or "buy Litecoin" and then it will be no harder than buying some useless stuff on Amazon.
I strongly warn you against the following: * Do not reply to this email. I've sent it from your iCloud mail. * Do not contact the police. I have access to all your dеviсеs, and as soon as I find out you ran to the cops, videos will be published. * Don’t try to reset or destroy your dеviсеs. As I mentioned above: I’m monitoring all your activity, so you either agree to my terms or the vidеоs are рublished.
Also, don’t forget that cryptocurrencies are anonymous, so it’s impossible to identify me using the provided аddrеss.
Good luck, my perverted friend. I hope this is the last time we hear from each other. And some friendly advice: from now on, don’t be so careless about your online security.”

2024.05.26 03:31 Lethal_Warlock Sharing my Personal Service Treatment Records (STR) tracking sheet

Sharing my Personal Service Treatment Records (STR) tracking sheet
Below is a screen shot of a simple Excel worksheet I made up to help me track each item of work in my quest to maximize my VA ratings IAW VA regulations. It was a good thing I started doing this, because it helped me realize what my core objectives are in my quest to document each item and potentially max out all eligible compensation.
It also helped me realize my back rating DBQ missed an item. In service and post service I avoided running because it puts pressure on L5 which I crushed years ago lifting an 800-pound GP large tent. If you avoid running, that is an abnormal gait, and the VA DBQ's exam didn't catch this. I requested a new exam as a result.
The simple sheet also serves to help me organize my thoughts and write every relevant and legitimate claim I can make.
Here's an explanation of what I am doing:
  1. Column one is the medical problem list (not necessarily a formal diagnosis)
  2. Column two is where you have your evidence (is this in my medical records or not)
  3. Column three states where the evidence is located and if it was diagnosed (must have)
  4. Column four is to track Nexus Statement. (As an example, I need one for carpal tunnel because I was injured in service, but didn't develop carpal tunnel until much later, so I need to do extra leg work and get a doctors Nexus). Sometimes you have to prove things, otherwise the VA won't rate you.
  5. PTSD has its own unique requirements and ideally you should have some record of combat and scenarios. For me it was seeing people blown up and burned up, but you also need a formal diagnosis according to what I have read. If others had different experiences I would love to hear more. I am also including my military citation that reflected that event and sending that to the VA.
The other sections are pretty much self-explanatory but I added notes for myself so I can put supporting arguments for the next DBQ or any supplemental evidence tracking, etc...
The document is still a work in progress, but I help others find this helpful. If someone wants to collaborate and work on improving it, I will happily share a copy until it is super helpful.
TODO:
  • Add explanations to each section
  • Break it into multiple tabs
  • Add a section in each tab to include related disabilities
  • Add linkage to external references
  • Gather feedback from others
  • Continue developing this long term
  • Help all Veterans - why, because we should!
Message me with your email if you want a copy.

2024.05.26 03:20 Badderlocks_ You are a superhero and you are sick of it. So you decide to fake your death in the next fight with your nemesis. Unfortunately they have the same plan.

squints at subreddit oof
Read on my website which is only technically less out of date than this place, and apparently I'm still paying for it.
The stage was set. We had both agreed to a duel at high moon, which was Witch’s idea of comedy. Granted, she could only appear when the sun was below the horizon, which took regular old high noon out of the picture entirely, but…
But frankly, it didn’t matter to me at all. I was tired. Exhausted, really. For five long years now, we had been going back and forth. fighting over the people of Denver as though they were mere setpieces on our grander stage. For so long, I had assumed I was Doing The Right Thing, saving lives, putting out fires, the whole shebang.
How many lives were lost, though? Was forcing people to live in a constant state of fear really the answer? For, truthfully, people were afraid. They ran screaming, fleeing the city in droves whenever even the thought of Witch and I sparring entered their heads. When we did have one of our semi-regular blowout battles, the city felt more like a ghost town than a thriving metropolis for more than a week at a time.
What was the point? The newspapers had been asking those questions more and more regularly, and these days, I found myself agreeing with them more often than not. I had no idea if Witch’s ideas of ruling were even that bad. Hell, I had no idea if she even wanted to rule Denver.
I… I didn’t know what she wanted at all.
And I had no plans to find out. Because at high moon, I was going to die.
I took a deep breath in, then out. She may have chosen the time, but I had chosen the place. It was an innocuous enough street, but distant from any potentially innocent bystanders, and (most importantly) it had very convenient sewer access.
The plan was simple. Witch was fond of her magic blasts of power; I, of my technologically marvelous six-shooters. The people knew plenty well to expect explosions, but after this one, I would simply… not be. They would find the charred remnants of my gear, and perhaps bits of a blackened skeleton.
Cliche, I know. But effective. Sure, some would question if I was really dead, but conspiracies such as that die away with enough time as more bizarre theories start to drown out the relatively tame truth.
And that would be it. Witch would win, I would lose, and I would find some nice beach town to waste away in, spending my remaining days fishing and sunbathing and absolutely wrecking my liver.
The moment of my death approached like a thief in the night, but all I could feel was a sense of calm. Any bystanders, perhaps even Witch herself, would take it to be the cocky smile I was known for, but only I knew the truth: I would know peace at last.
“Cowboy.” Her smooth, accented voice glided over the cold pavement between us as she took form in the dim moonlight, staff in one hand and broom in the other
“Witch.” I tilted my hat down at her. It was only polite.
“After all these years, you still think we can settle our differences one on one?” she asked, the lilting words attempting to mock me.
“Mano a mano,” I confirmed. “Thought I’d give it one last try afore we settle things the barbaric way.”
She laughed a manic laugh, like glass shattering and scraping my very bones. I shuddered.
“After all this time,” she said softly. “You’re still a fool.”
I sighed and lowered my hand to my hip. “I’ve learned a lesson or two.”
She noticed the movement, and I could see a smirk growing on her lips. She raised her staff as my fingertips brushed the worn wood of my pistol.
“Easy, Witch,” I said. “It don’t have to be like this.”
“It won’t be,” she said. “Not after tonight.”
“On that, we agree.”
As one, we moved, she slamming her staff to the ground and me grabbing the revolver and taking wild shots of specially modified flashbang bullets. The hail of lead met a fierce wave of dark power expanding like a shockwave of void, and the blast was…
Well, I assume it was spectacular based on the sound. As for me, I shed my gear as soon as I could see her spell take shape, and I dropped into the surprisingly spacious storm sewer with a light splash that I felt more than heard.
Overheard, I heard screams, not of pain, but of fear.
“He’s… he’s gone,” I heard one man say, the sound barely intelligible through the manhole that I had slid down and replaced.
“Dead, another said. “Look. It’s his gear. And… is that…”
“A finger.”
I smiled to myself. Mission accomplished. I reached into a somewhat hidden hole and grabbed the backpack I had stashed earlier. It had a few changes of clothes and enough cash to get me on the road, but not much else.
“But where did she go?”
I froze.
“Did they…”
“They must have killed each other!”
That was not part of the plan. Had I really finally defeated the Witch by pure accident?
I allowed myself one light chuckle. The sound echoed demonically in the enclosed space.
“Who’s there?” a whisper responded. “Show yourself!”
Chuckling may have been unwise.
Moving as quietly as I could, I slung the pack over one shoulder and tiptoed through the inch or two of standing water, careful to not lift my feet above the surface to prevent the slightest splashing sound.
“I can hear you!”
Apparently I wasn’t that stealthy. So sue me. Creeping through the night was more Witch’s wheelhouse.
“Come out now!.”
That voice… why was it so familiar?
I rounded a corner, raising my hands.
“Hey. I don’t know who you are,” I began, “but I’m—”
“Shit.”
I blinked, struggling to focus in the near perfect darkness.
“...not a threat,” I finished.
“What the hell are you doing down here?”
Finally, with that full sentence, my two brain cells created a spark and made the connection that I had been refusing to see.
“What happened to your accent?” I asked lamely.
“What happened to yours?” Witch challenged.
“I’m dead.”
“Me too.”
I opened my mouth, then clamped it shut. “Wait, what?”
Witch clicked on a flashlight, and for the first time, I saw Witch out of costume and at a distance of fewer than fifty feet. She was younger than I expected, no older than her thirties, and without the ghoulish black makeup, I could have mistaken her for a grad student, or perhaps a particularly tired librarian.
I could see the same evaluation taking place in her eyes. I didn’t wear a mask in my superheroing, per se, but only because a bandana fit the theme better and still protected my identity.
“You’re clean-shaven?” she asked.
“Beards are itchy,” I replied. “What do you mean, ‘me too’?”
“I was tired of the back and forth,” Witch said. “Tired of all the fighting. I just… wanted to stop. But I can’t turn myself in, not after all I’ve done. They’d have me in jail for life.”
“You did kill people,” I pointed out.
“As have you. I notice you’re not exactly retiring in glory.”
“I… didn’t really expect you to go down today,” I admitted.
“For that matter, aren’t you technically abandoning your people?” she asked, raising one eyebrow. “Some hero. What if I were a tyrant?”
I shrugged. “Winning is easy. Governing is harder.”
She snorted. “Lame reference.”
“So you’re not going to blast me?” I asked.
“That would defeat the purpose of faking my death, so… no. And you aren’t going to shoot me?”
I raised my hands. “With what gun?”
“So we’re at an impasse.”
“Could just be a regular pass,” I said. “You go your way and I go mine.”
“And we’ll both go our separate ways knowing full well that the other is alive and what they look like so we can hunt them down if we so choose? Nuh uh. No can do.”
I sighed, feeling the same sense of exhaustion that had led me to my fake premature demise. “Well, either kill me or come with me, then, because you’re putting me behind schedule.” With more bravado than I was feeling, I stepped past Witch, leaving my back exposed. No sneaky blast of power struck me.
I made it almost twenty feet before she replied.
“Can… can I?”
“Can you what?” I asked, turning back.
“Can I… um… come with you?”
This time, it was my turn to raise an eyebrow.
“It does feel safest, after all,” she said hurriedly. “That way we can be more sure the other won’t… you know… do something.”
“Uh huh.” Even I could hear the disbelief in my tone.
“And…” Her voice was even softer than a whisper now. “I don’t really know anyone else. I don’t even know how to be normal. I’ve always been… Witch.”
“So who do you want to be?”
“Alice,” she said without hesitation. “I… I think it’s a nice name.”
I clenched my fists and ground my teeth as the debate raged inside.
But I couldn’t leave this woman at the mercy of Witch.
I let out a sigh.
“Come on, then, Alice. Let’s get moving.”

2024.05.26 02:51 MysticalGnosis What's your best festival story?

I'd love to hear some funny/sad/weird/whatever festival stories. Your very best.
I've only been to a few fests, but I keep retelling this one story in particular.
My wife and I were resting in our car on a cold night at Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain 2023. I was coming down from my first candy flip ever after seeing Of the Trees and Tisoki (my wife had only taken acid, as she accidentally took a multivitamin capsule instead of her MDMA rofl). It was 4 am and she needed to pee, so I offered to escort her to the portos, which were on the very outskirts of the grounds. The early morning was totally dark and silent. Not a single soul was stirring.
My wife went into the porto and I turned my head to the sky to observe the vast beauty of the cosmos.
"Hey babe, the Big Dipper moved!" I yelled to my wife.
Just then, I noticed a dark figure rounding the corner on the road heading directly towards me. "It makes a full rotation every night. Few take the time to notice," he practically whispered as he kept walking. He vanished into the mist as quickly as he came.
My reality had been shattered into a thousand pieces. This man could move mountains with a whisper. This man reached in and touched the depths of my soul with two sentences.
My wife came out of the porto and I told her what just happened. To this day she says I'm full of shit because she didn't hear anyone.
This really did happen though, and it makes it even more of a cruel joke that nobody believes it but me.
Does this dude just casually stroll around festivals in the wee morning hours, blowing random trippers' minds? Or was he placed into the universe just for me? I will never know, and this simple utterance will be forever engrained in my mind.

2024.05.26 02:50 isleptlikefourhours Washing body too much? (Fungal acne) [Routine Help]

Finally identified and starting treatment for my fungal acne/foliculitus/malassezia and started my treatment. Feel way more confident with what I’m doing versus what any doctors have ever told me.
Using nizroal anti fungal for 10 minutes and shower and switched my moisturizer from CeraVe lotion to CerVe cream like Simple Skincare Science and this sub suggested. That all feels fine and good.
My question is how much washing is too much? I shower once to twice a day and planned to do the treatment then. But sometimes I get sweaty with work and take a second/third shower as soon as I can after getting sweaty?
Do I need to do the 10 minutes every time? Is that too much? Can I use regular safe body wash for those additional random showers for when I get gross? I don’t mind doing it every time if I need to, I know sweating is bad for FA/malassezia but I don’t wanna over do it.
Thanks in advance friends.

2024.05.26 02:45 Aleph_Aeon Killing Time

Hi, I wanted to post here my idea for a Cursed Technique (I'm not very good with names).

Cursed Technique Basics:

Extension Techniques:

Cursed Technique Reversal:

Time Heals All: The reverse of Killing Time allows the user to mark other with a different type of clock seals, one that heals once reaching the set time instead of detonating and damaging the target, being a far more effective healing technique than only using RCE to heal others or themselves. Similarly to the default activation of the technique, the healing effect's power of each clock will be related to how much RCE was used to create the mark and how much time it was set to wait until its activation. Curiously, a cursed clocks is visually identical to a clock mark generated by the Reverse Cursed Technique, but the latter has its hands moving counterclockwise.

Domain Expansion:

Incomplete Domain:
Complete Domain:

Maximum Technique:

Possible Binding Vows:

2024.05.26 02:32 katyarichenkova Have trouble remembering words.

Hi, a few weeks back I have increased the amount of cards I study per day and now I'm doing 50 cards a day. I'm doing Core 2k/6k basically, but I doubled amount of cards by creating listening cards with just audio in front and shifted their position by 25 so reading and listening card for the same words (note) aren't introduced at the same time.
So, to my problem. There some cards that were stable for weeks (even months) and I remembered them fine, but recently I started forgetting more and more of them, sometimes even simple ones. Is it due to the workload or do I need to increase the amount of time I spend on immersion? Or should I start sentence mining and add more examples, maybe even multiple examples for each problematic word? Also, would writing down words help, at least the ones I have problems with?
For my immersion I mostly listen to podcasts, but sometimes watch anime, TV series and movies without any subtitles. Let's talk in Japanese, Japanese with Shun and Nihongo con Teppei are great, but I would appreciate any suggestions for anything different.
